We begin with some reports from Russia and Ukraine.
Putin says Russian troops face NATO backed forces at Victory Day Parade in Moscow, Pakistan, today.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Saturday Russian forces fighting in Ukraine were confronting an aggressive force backed by the entire NATO alliance as he used his address at the annual Victory Day Parade in Red Square to defend Moscow's war aims.
Putin Has long placed the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II at the center of his political narrative, and the May night parade is typically staged with elaborate ceremony.
This year's event, however, was reduced in scale after a series of recent long range Ukrainian attacks using drones prompted the Kremlin to tighten security arrangements.
A very wise decision.
Meanwhile, European leaders aren't blind to Kiev corruption.
They are key partners in a massive extortion racket, strategic culture.

This month, Naval News reported Russia is advancing the development of its Poseidon strategic underwater weapon by constructing the Khabarovsk, a purpose built nuclear powered submarine now undergoing fitting out in Seborodsk in the Russian Arctic.

So I felt that if Trump had won re election in 2020, then he would have most certainly gone to war against Iran.

Yeah, and how do you see this war now developing, though?
Because, you know, if you would assess it, one of the things that makes it complicated is that it's so many actors involved with their different interests.
Of course, at the heart of it, one can say it's a U.S. Iranian war, which is often referred to.
But of course, Israel is a key participant.
The Iranians have several close regional allies.
And of course, you have the great powers of Russia and China.
So, how do you see this war playing out?
Right.
So I think in the first month of this war, the United States was focused on decapitation, basically trying to kill as much of the Iranian leadership as possible, hoping that that would force a global settlement where the Iranians would surrender and the Americans can basically enforce regime change.
The Iranians have proven to be much more resilient, much more creative, much more resourceful than the Americans gave them credit for.
And so now the Americans have moved to phase two of the war.
Which is essentially a war of attrition, economic strangulation, where they're trying to destroy Iran's capacity to finance this war, mainly by destroying Iran's capacity to export oil to China, as well as to control the Shriv Homuz.
That's where Trump has declared a naval blockade against the Shriv Homuz.
And so I think that this is where the war is going to go.
It's going to be a slow war.
That's going to be out of the headlines.
Very much like what happened in Gaza, really, where maybe for the first few weeks, the entire world was disgusted by what the Israelis were doing, but they declared a ceasefire, and then slowly the attention of the world shifted elsewhere.
And that's what Trump's, I think, intends to do with Iran, where he's going to try to apply as much military, diplomatic, political, and economic pressure as possible to force political settlement and trying to divert people's attention away from the war.
Quite honestly, I don't think there is an off ramp for Trump because the consequences of this war are just so vast.
So, for example, if you look at the GCC nations, the UAE has suffered a great deal in this war.
They cannot afford for Iran to emerge the victor in this war and to control the sort of Homus.
So, the UAE is essentially all in in defeating Iran.
Saudi Arabia and Iran have a rivalry going back decades.
Where both are vying for supremacy in the Islamic world.
And so Saudi Arabia sees Iran as a long term threat as well.
So even though Saudi Arabia has been trying to promote a diplomatic solution, their best interest is to also see a defeated Iran.
Iran is right now under a lot of threat because most of the population is Shia Muslim and their leadership is Sunni.
And their leadership is not very popular there.
And Iranians are very much intent on promoting revolutions across the Islamic world.
So, these three nations, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Iran, possibly also Kuwait as well, they want to see this war fought to the end.
The Iranians don't want to go back to the status quo where they were sanctioned.
They now have control of the Shirvu Homus.
They want economic relief.
They see the Shirvu Homus as their main leverage point against the Americans.
So they also want to see this war fought to the end.
The Americans are stuck because of the petrodollar, where if they leave, basically these GCC nations would start trading in multiple currencies, including the Chinese Yuan, including in gold.
And so this would collapse the American economy because they're so dependent on investment from the GCC nations.
The GCC has trillions invested in America, and they're forced to repatriate these trillions back into the GCC in order to pay reparations to the Iranians.
Then this would spell catastrophe for the American economy, especially the AI sector.
Israel is intent on the Greater Israel Project, and they see this as an opportunity to redraw the map of the Middle East.
In order to achieve the Greater Israel Project, Israel wants this war to continue for as long as possible because they believe that the Arabs and Iranians would destroy each other in the process.
And when the smoke clears, they would have achieved the Greater Israel Project.
So essentially, in the Middle East, there are too many powerful individuals who want to see this war fought to the end, and no one can really countenance a defeat.

I think he's got it right, sad to say.

Suggesting the Western mode of warfare is a box.

It's easy to identify the figure of Bibi Netanyahu, who wants to escape punishment for his crimes in Israeli courts and is willing to take the world to war in order to evade.
What we're seeing, if we talk about Hormuz and so on, not only has it ended in the defeat of, if you like, that Western way of thinking that I described in the Cold War.
You know, outspend your enemies, big expensive aircraft, big fleets of naval carriers and their supporting craft.
All of these things are how we win wars because we've just learned that actually it is asymmetrical war that can withstand and even prevail in these wars.
And thus thinking out of the lessons from Iran.
I believe they are going to have a big impact.
Maybe the West will be the last to take it, but I see it already happening in Russia.
And I see it's already being taken up and understood in China.
In earlier portions, he explained that the West had been conducting contests with rival nations by outspending them.
And he said that it seemed, with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, to be a vindication.
But that the West has not adapted to asymmetrical warfare, which does involve large spending and so forth.
Had far more modest budget, smaller population, knew it could not compete in a spending war with America, so adapted its defenses on a different model.
But whereas Alastair Crick has explained, the West hasn't caught up.
It's only learning now that the old way of dealing with these matters is no longer working.
As a way ahead more generally.
In the globe.
So Beijing and Moscow understand the value, the significance of asymmetrical war.
Does the Pentagon and does Tel Aviv?
Not yet.
Certainly not yet, because this is still a raging controversy in Israel.
But I'm just saying look at the implications.
I mean, the implications of Israel going back to its borders, accepting that it can only.
Manage a small army that it cannot, it doesn't have six or seven IDFs.
I mean, and the implication that the colonel said very clearly don't forget that Ben Gurion saw war as a means to finding a political solution, political outcome.
That could change Israel completely.
I mean, this would be a very important shift, a strategic shift in Israeli thinking.
It hasn't fully.
Matured, but as I say, this has gone viral across in the Hebrew press, not in the English language press, from led by people from the IDF, senior generals and security officers, all taking up the theme and saying, This idea of permanent war allied to messianic redemption is going to break us and destroy us.
And when you say, Does Russia and China understand it?
Yes, there's been an article that has just come out.
By a very prominent Russian who has made it clear that Russia understands this and understands the way in which Iran has used limited asymmetrical force in order to pursue its political interests.

Does the Pentagon understand that America's massive, multi-billion dollar aircraft carriers?

I think they're getting to it.

These are things, you know, still Trump is saying, well, we're going to, you know, we're going to move an aircraft carrier just off Cuba.
100 meters, it'll weave up there and they will capitulate.
They'll give in when they see the carrier.
Actually, in these days, a carrier is vulnerable, vulnerable to drones.
To small submersible craft that can attack it, you know, not necessarily sink it, but push it right out of the frame of operations.
So, I mean, these carriers have become not a source of strength, they've become a sign of vulnerability.

and Republicans were in the majority in the Senate, I thought for sure we were about to accomplish the great campaign promises that we made to the American people for years.
The campaign promises of no more foreign wars and no more regime change, the campaign promises of bringing back American innovation and industry and small businesses, the campaign promises of dismantling the Board of Education, the campaign promises of finally holding the deep state accountable.
Locking up Dr. He's not a doctor, Anthony Fauci.
Right?
Holding accountable the J6 committee that destroyed people's lives.
Holding accountable the U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves that horrifically prosecuted people that walked in the Capitol on January 6th and destroyed their lives is responsible for.

We were making some momentum.
I had finally seen some of my Republican colleagues in the House have more courage than I'd ever seen them have.

That every single Republican I served with who actually hated Donald Trump and used to tell me to their face they hated him were all of a sudden coming up to me, showing me proudly their MAGA hats that he had signed and the great gigantic coin that the president had given them because Donald Trump has everything bigger and shinier and more gold than anybody else.
So his challenge coins were the biggest.
So I watched this drastic change among House Republicans.
And then in 2025, the first quarter, we were actually doing it.
We were passing some legislation that needed to be passed.
There was much hope going forward.
But then all of a sudden, the momentum slowed down.
And as we approached going into the spring and the summer, we started getting some bills that we were being asked to vote on.
One of them was called the Genius Act, and the other was the Clarity Act.
And these were brought forth by the crypto industry.

They put in these nasty little poison pills and all types of avenues to create bigger problems for the future.

And as a matter of fact, he bragged and bragged to all of us in the House of Representatives on how they were able to use it, how they could pay their citizens when they needed to pay them, how they could charge their citizens, like for taxes, when they needed to collect taxes.
And when I saw a Republican sponsored bill that the president was publicly supporting on Truth Social and in his speeches that the Congress must pass it, To regulate and set up the system for crypto, I was concerned.
And so I said, when they asked me where I was, when they were whipping my vote, I said, I'm a no, I can't vote for that.
Well, I found myself in the principal's office and sitting in a chair directly in front of the Resolute desk in the Oval Office.
So naturally, I went to the White House that day saying hi to all my friends Hi, hey, saw you at the rally six months ago.
Oh, it's so good to see you.
We should have dinner.
I'm walking in the White House among everyone that I knew and was friends with to go talk to, of course, my good friend Donald Trump, who I'd helped become president.
And so I sit down in front of the desk thinking that this should go fine.
And of course, the president's going to understand where I'm coming from.
And naturally, he's going to agree with me that we can't have a central bank digital currency.
And of course, he's going to direct everyone in the room, especially the speaker, that you've got to change this bill, Mike Johnson.

He's doing everything he can to keep down the price of gas because it's such a tell that he's betrayed us all.

We're talking about 18 cents a gallon for regular and maybe a quarter a gallon for diesel.
Well, it's robbing Peter to pay Paul because it's just going to run up the debt of the United States.
And that gas tax is used for infrastructure to repair roads, to take care of necessities.

Numerous Chinese on the ground, particularly in the missile business.
Also, to some extent, the unmanned system production.
The Russians have been heavily involved, trying to help and assist with integrated air defenses, which haven't really worked as well as they should have to this point.
Then the other thing that we shouldn't lose sight of is the Russians have tried very hard to ship in as much.
Humanitarian aid to the Iranians as they can.
And when President Trump and his contingent of staffers and supporters say, well, Iran's in terrible shape, their currency is destroyed, and on and on and on, they're not wrong.
But the Iranians are prepared for that kind of damage.
They anticipated it.
And they have now evacuated all of their key buildings.
So there's no doubt in my mind that whatever we say publicly, they are anticipating a worst case scenario right now, and they're preparing for it.
The one thing that I think we could see this time that we did not see the last time is the use of some ground power.
In other words, we have several thousand airborne soldiers, paratroopers, and Marines that could be involved in seizing an island or perhaps attacking even something like Bangladesh, if for nothing else, as a raid to demonstrate the capability.
I don't know.
These things are possible.
Uh, what's not going to happen is the United States Navy is not going to sail through that strait and challenge the Iranians because they know they'll end up at the bottom or certainly decorating the bottom of the Persian Gulf, so that's not going to happen.
But I think you could see the Marines and paratroopers used in some way.
