	Trump declares a national emergency, vows to designate transnational gangs, drug cartels as terrorists, and he's following through on this as well.
	President Donald Trump declared a national emergency at the southern border and vowed to designate some drug cartels and gangs as foreign terrorist organizations.
	Unlocking new authorities for dealing with migrants and transnational criminal organizations, including possible military action, with new risks as well.
	Earlier on Monday, a spokesperson for the new admin gave reporters a bit more detail.
	The Venezuelan-based gangs Trendyagua and El Salvador-based MS-13 would be deemed foreign terrorist organizations as well.
	The designation enables the Justice Department to pursue individuals suspected of providing material support to those groups.
	The Department has used such declarations to go after U.S. residents involved with ISIS, including the month's arrest of Alexander Justin White as he boarded an overseas flight.
	The designation also allows the government to use military intel and other capabilities to more deeply survey the groups, the members, and its material supporters.
	A new Homeland Security Task Force will carry out related orders and sanctions inside the United States, where the shape and scope of military action will be up to the Department of Defense.
	We're going to see a lot happening.

	Meanwhile, and this is on the lighter side, Michelle Obama bails again.

	I just wanted to call in because yesterday I heard a couple bits of information I didn't really agree with, and I wanted to...
	Sure.
	Put out what I think are better facts about the issues discussed.
	Number one is you have this fella who keeps calling in saying Trump didn't fulfill all his promises.
	And one of them has to do with the border wall.
	And I looked up the facts on it, and according to the DHS report from October 29th of 2020, they reported that there were 400 miles of completed border wall system done at that point.
	And I think the way that goes, there was new construction, there was some repairs and replacement of old, you know, rusted out areas.
	So they had put up close to 400 miles of completed wall.
	Yeah.
	210 miles were under construction at the time, like late October of 2020, and they'd hoped to complete around 450 miles.
	So, you know, the fact is there was quite a bit of wall constructed.
	But if Congress had helped him out, Trump out, there probably would have been all of it built.
	If you recall, they fought him like crazy, and they really had to go and get to grab some funds from a defense fund.
	So that's number one.
	Then the other one was a fellow talking about tariffs yesterday.
	And his example was something along the lines of if Trump puts 10% tariffs up on other countries, We're going to pay a commensurate amount in higher prices.
	But if you look back at his years previously, from 2017 to 2021, when he was right in the middle of his presidency, we only had a 1.9% inflation rate.
	And that was despite the tariffs that he had put on China.
	And the secret to that is what China had done was they devalued their currency to be able to...
	Offset what the tariff cost was.
	So the prices didn't get impacted like many people think they did.
	And something could happen new in this new presidency.
	But again, we can't say for sure there will be tariffs.
	Any thoughts on that?
	No, I think you're right.
	Yeah, I think you're right on both counts.
	That there will be tariffs and that they will have a rather negligible effect on inflation.
	I think Trump's going to do so many things that are going to improve us, our situation economically, that it's going to be complicated.
	But I think when it settles down, we're all going to be better off.

	And he kept a lot of very important promises, like on the border, to the farmers, to veterans and everything else.
	So I don't really put much stock in that.

	I know there's a lot of optimism and everything else, and I share in that too, but I think Trump has been left a real time bomb with our financial system.
	And you can just look at some of the things hardly being discussed where the interest on the national debt exceeded a trillion dollars this year.
	It's going to probably go up even more quite a bit this coming year and years to come.
	Many banks are underwater.
	Bank of America is really hurting because of...
	Some of the bonds they had bought.
	And truth be told, the FDIC can only cover about 1% to 2% of all the deposits that the banks have.
	So there's a lot of dominoes lined up.

	We could have a real problem before we know it.

	I go through hundreds of emails, you know, saying that the show is go ahead, give us, share with us, Dave, share with us.
	Maybe you pulled something from this email not realizing.
	I included an article in there.
	The title of the email is, Massey asked in FOIA for the impossible, concluding that viruses don't exist.
	Now, as a matter of fact, he actually concludes that viruses don't exist, which, you know, proving a negative, I think you know, is very difficult in many cases, like this particular case.
	But there's positive evidence of the existence of the viruses.
	Both by X-ray crystallography, maybe 104 have been crystallized.
	They had to isolate and make crystals to do the crystallography.
	And for SARS-CoV-2, I don't know how much actual positive evidence there is for that virus particle directly.
	But they have done these sequences and shown these phylogenic Darwinian...
	Trees showing the changes or the mutations over time in different places.
	And I think if you look at that information, you realize there's a huge number of connections that all must happen together that therefore you conclude that it is also fairly strong positive evidence.
	So I think in that article, of course, the FOIA responses that are given is you're asking us to do, you know, to do something that can't actually be done.
	They were asking for specific, some specific sort of isolation that the FOIA requests they say can't be done.
	They're asking governments.
	They're not working at the literature.

	Dave, my understanding was he was seeking information about processes and patents that...
	Would enable the isolation of a virus and the patent office was unable to produce it.
	That was my impression.
	I don't think so at all.
