Has Putin Already Achieved His Goals in Ukraine? Will Michelle Obama Run in 2024?

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko says he believes Russia's President Vladimir Putin may have already achieved his major goals after the invasion of Ukraine as the war continues to go on and the US pours more money and arms into it. Dr. Jerome Corsi breaks it all down, examines what's really happening and if Lukashenko is right or not on today's The Truth CentralAlso:Will the Democrats run Michelle Obama in 2024, considering the current field?Student loan debt exceeds mortgages for someThe HUD's new Housing Equity strategySan Francisco's Housing Crisis is worse than you thinkChina's "Lehman Moment" is comingGet Dr. Corsi's new book with Swiss America CEO Dean Heskin, How the Coming Global Crash Will Create a Historic Gold Rush: https://www.thetruthcentral.com/how-the-coming-global-crash-will-create-a-historic-gold-rush/Follow Dr. Jerome Corsi on Twitter: @corsijerome1Our website: https://www.thetruthcentral.comOur link to where to get the Marco Polo 650-Page Book on the Hunter Biden laptop & Biden family crimes free online: https://www.thetruthcentral.com/marco-polo-publishes-650-page-book-on-hunter-biden-laptop-biden-family-crimes-available-free-online/Our Sponsors:MyVitalC: https://www.thetruthcentral.com/myvitalc-ess60-in-organic-olive-oil/Swiss America: https://www.swissamerica.com/offer/CorsiRMP.phpThe MacMillan Agency: https://www.thetruthcentral.com/the-macmillan-agency/Pro Rapid Review: https://prorrt.com/thetruthcentralmembers/RITA: https://members.sayrita.com/truthcentralreaders/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-truth-central-with-dr-jerome-corsi--5810661/support.

This is Jerome Corsi and today it's Friday.
It's August 18th, 2023.
This is Jerome Corsey and today it's Friday, it's August 18th, 2023.
First story I want to cover has to do with Putin.
The president of Belarus is saying essentially that Putin has already accomplished his goals
in Ukraine.
And I think it's largely the case that the territorial gains that Russia has made and the defensive positions in which they're in give Russia control over the eastern part of Ukraine, which is largely Russian speaking
and Russian oriented, Donbass, and also control of the Black Sea, Sevastopol, the big port,
naval port, as well as now holding onto the entire access to the Mediterranean and to the
Atlantic.
And I think even more important, what this Lukashenko is saying, who's the president
of Belarus, is that Ukraine will never be as aggressive towards Russia after the end
of this war as it was before the war.
Largely, Russia will probably occupy all of eastern Ukraine, and western Ukraine has always been more German-oriented, and still today, neo-Nazis are fighting with Zelensky.
I think the corruption is now apparent and even the United Nations and NATO really is, the head of NATO, who's this General Stoltenberg, he would like to continue fighting.
Want lasting peace?
Then we have to have support for Ukraine and we are sending them F-16s.
I don't know when they're going to get there.
But the point is, we would like to step up the war, and I don't see it being very productively received right now, even among the NATO allies.
I think everyone's sick of this war, and it has too much potential to go nuclear.
So, the idea we just keep sending more and more arms, more and more arms dealers make money, the corruption is absolutely rampant.
But I think the truth is, NATO's going to have to say, we're going to concede territory.
Russia is now going to take over major portions of Ukraine and there's nobody going to stop them.
The second story here, I want to cover a couple of stories pretty quickly.
The student loan payments are going to kick back in.
Now, when these begin again, many U.S.
borrowers are going to actually be paying more on their student loans than on their mortgages.
Especially some of the younger homeowners who got 3% mortgages on a 30-year fixed mortgage.
They may have, for instance, under $1,000 to pay on their mortgage, but their student loan payments may be $1,130 a month.
So, you know, there's a lot of families being discussed here, and examples showing how this is going to be a big burden for a lot of families.
So, for instance, Bloomberg has been covering this.
Bloomberg had a second example with a South Carolina attorney and his wife.
they are facing a $2,100 per month student loan payment versus a $1,850 a month payment on their
mortgage. And they're $75,000 in debt to obtain an undergraduate degree in English from the
Indiana University. And the wife has also around $70,000.
They've got $150,000 worth of student loan debt to pay off.
Now, this is going to be very difficult for these younger families.
And it's going to put a damper on the economy because it's going to reduce the amount of consumer spending.
And consumer spending is still what drives the United States market.
Now, a couple more stories I'm going to cover are saying that we are beginning this debt crisis, this debt bubble is beginning to burst.
At the same time, Biden wants to send another $25 billion to Ukraine.
And that's going to be fought out in the Congress.
And we are about to enter the 2024 presidential cycle.
And I can see that the Republicans are already trying to position for regaining the White House.
But the big issue is Donald Trump, who's under so many indictments.
He'll have to run for president while being under indictment.
And very interesting today, Ted Cruz was rebuked by the gentleman who created the Federalist, saying that the Democrats are going to weaponize the Justice Department.
And what Ted Cruz said, he did not want to use the Justice Department for political purposes, even if we got control, if the Republicans got control of the White House in 2024.
And the movement is building to say the Democrats need to suffer their own medicine.
One article I was very tempted to post, which was saying we need to go after Hillary Clinton for not only her server, her private server when she was Secretary of State, but for her role in the Russian collusion scare, being the prime mover of that whole nonsense, which took two years of Trump's presidency, maybe three, Maybe not really the whole presidency until the very end of the presidency when finally Mueller decided he didn't have a case after I wouldn't take a plea deal.
He couldn't find any link to Assange.
I did not have a link to Assange and I would not lie to say I did in order to stay out of prison.
But the January 6th, the treatment of these January 6th prisoners is becoming more and more abusive.
The Democrats are becoming much more intolerant in their entire approach to politics.
I saw one of the contenders for the presidency in Argentina went wild on a reporter saying you can't deal with these leftists, called them all kinds of bad names in Spanish in an interview that was went viral on
the internet over the last 24 hours.
So Chris, I think we're positioning this to say Putin's going to win in Ukraine,
the debt bubble's going to burst, and it's going to be a major problem for the world going into 2024.
And the Republican Party is kind of a train wreck, because the Republicans really don't support Donald Trump, but yet Donald Trump is far and away going to be the lead candidate.
What are your thoughts?
You're on the money here, plus there's this third party lurking about and we know what happens when a third party jumps in.
Somebody's going to lose votes.
This time it's something called the No Labels Party and I believe Senator Manchin is part of this.
He's the presumed or the possible candidate.
The idea is, and I believe the party came out this week saying, We're going to nominate somebody if the choices are between Trump and Biden, which tells you two or three things.
One, there are people who respect Trump as a president, think he did a good job, but they have Trump fatigue, the antics.
They might be sick of that.
A lot of people are looking for somebody with his ideas, but somebody who might be a little less, well, showy in that respect, if you will.
Yeah, I know that the people reacted to Donald Trump's personality, and it's unfortunate, but the problem is DeSantis didn't get very far trying to be Trump-lite.
He thought he was bigger than the presidency, too.
Ron DeSantis.
At least, that's what he's coming off as at this point.
Well, he needs more time to be seasoned.
This will be a lesson for him in how difficult presidential politics are.
He's not ready for prime time.
I said that from the very beginning.
Wouldn't he be termed out in a couple years as a Florida governor?
Well, if he continued to... I'm not sure what the term limits are in Florida.
I haven't studied that.
But the point is he needs a little bit more seasoning in the rough and tumble politics at the governor level or at the presidential level.
It's different than being in Congress.
Go ahead, Chris.
I just wanted to put this in here.
I believe that DeSantis may have jumped into the race early or prematurely because he turns out eight years after eight years.
That's it.
He can't run anymore for governor of Florida, which means for two years he'll be in some sort of political limbo unless he runs for Congress.
I'm not sure what he'll do, but he has not helped himself with the campaign he's run, and attacking Trump like he has was not a good idea.
Let's move on.
I want to cover some more today.
San Francisco, I'm watching very carefully the housing plunge.
San Francisco now is already going through a They went through a very bad bursting of the bubble in 2007-2008 when the subprime real estate burst.
We are in the beginning of another bubble burst in housing.
It takes a while to develop.
This is a story by Wolf Richter who publishes these on Wolf Street, which is a site I watch.
It's very good as a money analyst.
San Francisco housing prices Have plunged faster in the first 16 months of the bubble burst, 29% down than in the first 16 months in 2007, 2008.
Now, housing prices in California were ridiculously high.
The median price for a single family house today, even after this 25% decline, is still almost $1.5 million.
Now, San Francisco was, in fact, a prime place to live.
It was one of the most sought-after markets in the United States, until recently, when the Democrats have now taken over completely.
I think the country is beginning to see Democrats as demise, negation, woke, insanity, homelessness, wars.
The Democratic Party has painted itself in a very, very poor position right now.
And the American people, I think, are tired, are gonna get more tired when these bubbles begin bursting, because the economic pain that's about to come is gonna be severe.
That's why, if you take a look at the book I've written on the coming global crash, and it's happening, it will produce a historic gold rush.
I know gold is now down to about 1,800 and something dollars an ounce.
I think it's a bargain.
Please take, if you call the number on the homepage with that book, that's Swiss America, they will talk to you about how you can get into IRAs, some of your IRAs, some of your 401ks, protect the assets you've got, especially retirement assets.
And please do talk to them.
Look at all the sites that we're on.
Like the program, greatly help us expand the audience.
The second story on economics, I think, is equally important because it develops this global theme, which is that China is itself going through what they call a Lehman moment.
Lehman Brothers was one of the big Wall Street firms that imploded.
It went bankrupt in 2007-2008 over derivatives, which were very complex bets it had made on the housing market.
And even in China, one of the big investment firms is on the brink of bankruptcy.
It's this Zhongnong, not very good in Chinese, international trust, which is a seller of esoteric financial products.
It has the equivalent of $108 billion under management at the end of 2022.
And because of the failure of some of the larger real estate trusts that they hold, the whole China's trust industry had $2.9 trillion under management in March 31 this year.
And it's always been a source of funding for property developers.
Trust funds typically raise money from wealthy individuals and companies to invest in stocks, bonds, real estate projects, and other assets.
But on the financial distress of a property giant, which is called Country Golden Holdings, This large investment firm may find itself bankrupt.
Now, China's economy is very fragile right now, because it's been very heavily dependent upon U.S.
manufacturing, and U.S.
manufacturing is largely backed off because of the slowdown economically in the United States.
We are still experiencing inflation, which shows no sign of stopping.
Because with the money we're spending, the modern monetary theory said you could print as many dollars as you wanted to print because you paid off your debt in sovereign currency, in other words, dollars.
So you could print dollars to pay off the dollars.
It's fiat currency, it doesn't mean anything anyway.
There's no gold behind it, there's nothing behind it.
But the problem is, once you get the money supply pumped up with all this cash, you create bubbles.
And the bubbles will not sustain when this cash flow stops.
So as soon as we decide we can't print this much money, and by the way, when the economy slows down, the tax revenues slow down.
But yet the non-discretionary spending stays the same or increases.
Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, which are entitlement programs and increasingly entitlement programs, so that as the population ages, we're going to have increasing expenditures in both categories.
These are the problems that are built into the legislation.
And then once we have a fiat currency, it becomes an inflation machine.
Now the Fed knows this.
And the Fed's only solution here is to continue to raise interest rates, which it will do.
Knowing it will punish and destroy largely the middle class.
The middle class in the United States have used up their savings.
Credit card debt is at $1 trillion.
And people do not find jobs any longer that pay their standard of living, which is deteriorating.
We are seeing increases in energy prices, which are brought on by this climate change, global warming hoax.
On this transition to wind and solar, which is going to be a disaster, is not productive economically.
It's going to be much more costly.
And nations are beginning to realize this.
ESG investing hurts retirement savings because it means lower yields.
You're investing because of the environment, social and governance.
And an international crisis is beginning to emerge economically.
Which I don't see as being avoidable.
Chris, your comments?
You see it right there.
Student debt is going to come to a head.
If you'll notice, President Biden is trying to pull the whole forgiveness of student loan debt off.
The fact is, education is going to get a lot more expensive over the years to come unless somebody says, hey, rein this in.
Stop whipping out diplomas like you're printing money at this point.
And the fact is, printing all this money makes things more expensive.
There are too many factors going on which can technically be stopped if somebody or if enough people put their minds to it and put their votes to it.
The fact is we're not doing so.
We're not doing so and that's the problem is that you know talking about these problems and that's all Congress is doing right now.
Congress is not accomplishing anything.
These committees which expose all the Biden crimes make people aware of it But again, where's the Justice Department?
It's not going to take action.
Now, another story bothered me today.
This is the HUD, Housing and Urban Development.
The Biden administration is now going to be taking action to move affirmative action.
The Biden administration wants to expand racial equality, so they're back on the theme.
This is a recurring theme of the Democrats.
HUD is now going to implement a new program that will compel any town, city, or county that accepts
federal housing grants to, quote, proactively take meaningful actions to overcome patterns of
segregation, promote fair housing choice, eliminate disparities and opportunities, and foster
inclusive communities free from discrimination. So this program is called Affirmatively
Furthering Fair Housing. I mean, these affirmative action programs, the Supreme Court just
decided you can't utilize them in admissions to college.
The left doesn't care.
They'll still keep doing it.
They'll find another way to do it.
Now, This reinstates a HUD rule, which was a 2015 rule that Donald Trump took away.
It was repealed in 2020 by the Trump administration.
What it basically does is if you've got community block grants, if a city wants them, wants plans to be able to do housing, you're going to also have to provide housing for minorities.
And so communities, the whole idea is to take communities like Westchester County in New York or counties in New Jersey and move out New York's minorities into the suburbs.
And what it does is it centralizes authority in Washington.
In addition, this is not, this lawmaking by HUD.
Again, there's no federal law here they're implementing except by stretching it.
So they take a federal law and say, well, this is what we think it means.
And they promulgate a rule.
Well, Congress provided $85 million to identify and remove barriers for affordable housing.
And the 2023 Omnibus Consolidated Appropriations Act was another monstrosity.
And the HUD is going to start demanding that counties like Westchester provide affirmative plans in which they're going to move
minority families into Westchester County.
Now Westchester County is one of the most expensive counties in the country and moving people in does
not mean necessarily they're going to be able economically to afford to live there or that
and certainly we've seen this over and over again with these measures the government tries to
implement to force integration.
Saw it in the busing that went on in the 70s, where they were trying to say the schools have to be integrated, so we're going to bus students around in order to get integrated schools.
Well, everybody hated it.
Finally, the Supreme Court did away with it.
These policies that the bureaucrats are implementing are ideologically driven.
But they aren't sociologically based.
They don't understand how people are gonna react or behave.
I mean, you see your kids, got a school down the corner, your kids are being driven 45 miles in order to integrate schools.
Well, the kids hate it, the parents hate it, and it doesn't accomplish anything.
And the experience they get in school is reduced altogether because nobody's happy.
And besides the fact they're not teaching them anything in schools anyway, except what gender are you?
So we now, my solution is to, we've got to get rid of the agencies.
No matter who's the president, first 48 hours, the agencies come in with their briefcases and say, well, Mr. President, there's certain things you can't do because we're in charge of the EPA and here's our rules.
We have the authority of rulemaking in the federal registry and we're going to make the rules.
You have to go to the Supreme Court to block us.
And they won't listen to what the president says.
The one thing you can do to get rid of the bureaucracy is move it out of Washington, and move it to unfavorable locations where these people don't want to go, or some other part of the country that could use the economic activity.
And we have too many bureaus, we have too many people in Washington who are comfortable there in their little ideological leftist Georgetown bubble, and are not in touch with the rest of America.
A bureaucratic rule is dictatorial because these bureaucrats are not responsible to anyone except to themselves and to their managers within the bureaus.
So the Department of HUD has its own mission, which Congress only remotely set.
They're making the rules, they're making the laws.
The laws are being made in the bureaucracy.
I say move the whole bureaucracy to Death Valley, give them all the solar and wind they want, let them do all the busing they want to do in Death Valley, and leave the country alone.
A lot of them will just quit, and we'll be better off without them.
The next story, I think, is one I want to concentrate a little bit more on the end of this program, and Chris will have a discussion about it.
But Joel Gilbert has been a good friend of mine for a long time.
He's a filmmaker.
He did a film on Michelle Obama running for president.
He's got an article right now up on The American Thinker, which is also a group I write for.
And what Joel is saying is, I think, correct.
Which is that the Democratic Party knows it can't run Biden again, and they do not want to lose power.
Because if they lose power, and power is shifted to the Republicans, Republicans can use the bureaucracy, including the Justice Department, to go after Hillary, to go after Obama, to go after the whole bunch of them.
And there's plenty there to go after.
Biden family?
So the idea is that sometime after it's too late to get into the primaries, by acclimation, they'll say, well, Michelle is going to be the candidate.
Biden is not putting together a campaign.
It's clear Biden couldn't put together a campaign.
And the Democrats may be planning to steal the next election.
I'm sure that they are giving it a lot of consideration.
And Trump may have a stage on which he can expose the 2020 election and finally get it investigated.
But I doubt if any judge is going to give him the opportunity to do that.
He'll still make the case.
The American people will hear the case.
And the American people, I think, are getting sick and tired of this disruption, this disarray.
And when you can't make your mortgage payment, I don't think you really care what gender, you know, your children are being taught to be at school.
So, Biden has spent 40% of his presidency on vacation.
He's made a horrible mess of not responding to these Maui fires.
And by the way, There's just so many fires going on right now, and the Democrats have found that if they can cause a fire, and they do it several ways, they don't take care of land management, they don't do forestry, our forests are gonna burn, because it's part of nature's cycle for recycling forests.
Forest fires are part of how the earth manages forestry, trees.
But the point is, If the Democrats start fires and say it's climate change, I think we're going to find increasingly the pattern of these fires are extremely suspicious.
And in Maui, you get an organization that's out there saying we're more concerned about climate change.
They don't do the management of the grasslands.
You know, they don't and Hawaii is about as left as you're going to get.
I think Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
compete for who's the most leftist.
The Biden presidency does not look like it's gearing up to be the candidate in 2024.
Kamala Harris has no support.
So what you're doing is you're, and what Joel's saying is that Michelle's been prepared.
She's been doing all this hip-hop stuff.
She, you know, the picture we're posted up here is a Joel Gilbert picture of her on stage.
They're presenting her as a softened personality.
They've done makeovers of her so she doesn't come out as angry as she did.
In the 2008 campaign, if anyone remembers how much she came out with her racial anger, which was apparent.
She was a very, very negative force in that election, and it was difficult for Obama and his team to manage.
But now she's been You know, with Oprah and Madonna, and she's got 100 million followers on social media, 22 million on Twitter, 55 million on Instagram, 19 million on Facebook.
She had 15 years of positive media coverage, hundreds of magazine covers, talk show appearances.
Michelle is arguably the most popular person in the country, if not the world.
They've built her this way.
They've developed her character.
They've taught her what to do.
Now, Joel's film and book, which are Michelle Obama 2024, her real life story in Plan for Power, he is saying that black voters are not crazy if they knew that Michelle was really an Oreo.
You know, she's white on the inside.
For instance, it was Michelle and her brother Craig who were doing white flight in the 70s, running away from all the black schools and going on to white schools where they had to travel.
she has constantly wanted to position herself with the advantages, not with the working with the
minority poor. She is constantly finding self-positions when she was working,
where she was in the inner circle within Chicago getting a lot of special favors.
Joel does a good job of telling the story.
But the key element here is that you've got a family which positions itself, Obama and Michelle, to be hip-hop popular artists, personalities, Uh, appealing, you know, Obama used to come down the stairs, skipping on the, you know, what Air Force One, making it look good.
He was hip hop.
He was at, you know, the mojo.
Well, that's fine.
But the, at the underneath, both of them are radical socialists who want to transform America into a neo-Marxist state.
And we'll have much more of what we've got with the woke if Michelle Obama is president and shaping up a Michelle Obama contest against Donald Trump.
Is going to be an explosive contest.
And in 2020, the left tore up the country in order to get rid of Donald Trump.
The United States right now is in a very, very critical position.
It is unstable.
And it's dividing and the division is getting worse every day.
And if this continues, it's not a manageable situation, especially in an economic downturn.
Which I think is built in right now.
It's why I'm telling people, get some gold.
Do some things to benefit yourself.
Take a look at our sponsors.
My Vital C. The new book for My Vital C is out now.
We'll be talking about it next week.
My hair is back with color.
That's not being colored.
My Vital C. I've been taking it for four years now.
And it has remarkable properties, this carbon-60 molecule in olive oil, which is the way I like to take it.
It comes also in coconut oil and avocado oil.
It's for pets.

Chris, any comments here as we wrap up today?
On the Michelle Obama candidacy, I cannot help but think this is simply a red herring.
I can't help but simply think this is a complete joke.
Because the woman has never held office.
At least Hillary Clinton, when the discussion of her becoming president was starting to take place in the 1990s, the idea was she still needed some experience and had to get some legislative work done.
So they bring her into the Senate.
They find a way to carpetbag her into the Senate.
Michelle Obama needs to do this first.
Secondly, I would have to say the Democrats are almost pretty sure they're going to lose this election coming up in 2024.
So you need a sacrificial lamb candidate and focus on calling the next Republican a racist every week you can, just like they normally do, and then run somebody of substance in 2028.
That would be the plan.
If you wind up putting Michelle Obama in Congress between now and then, then at that point she becomes a legit candidate.
She's popular, she would have held office, and she would probably have not been on television as much because the Democrats would not want her to be exposed.
The idea is the question of her experience would be there, would be answered.
Well, in traditional politics, you know, you've got a point, but this is not traditional politics.
It's a high school, most popular, student body president.
It's Marsha Brady running for student body president.
I know you're right on that, but the point is, the Neo-Marxists will refuse to give up power.
They will run Michelle and plan to control the election process.
Because they don't care.
It's not, Michelle won't run the country, Obama will.
You know, Michelle can do her, she'll be the personality that, she'll be personality number two for Obama to be the wizard behind the screen.
And they'll architect this and they'll give her money and lots of fame and all kinds of, you know, future life which is very happy and easy.
And she'll go along.
I mean, that's the other way to look at it.
Now, neither one, we can argue this point, but we can just wait a few months.
Let's see what happens.
I don't see that the Democrats have an exit strategy except for Michelle, because what are you going to do?
Who are you going to find to run?
And if the Democrats have a challenge from within their own party, you know, and I think Americans are sick and tired of these woke Democrats, and they're getting sicker and tighter, more tired of them by the minute.
And, you know, the nonsense of this climate change and everything is climate change.
Well, now we're going to have a Hurricane Hillary, which I think is appropriate, coming and hitting the West Coast.
That seems to be in the development.
Well, one's already hit America, so.
Oh, wait.
OK, different Hillary.
I see.
I understand.
Good joke.
Good joke.
But the point is, you know, we're facing chaos.
And that's what I say Neo-Marxism results in.
The next book I have coming out following The Truth About Energy, Global Warming, Climate Change is The Truth About Neo-Marxism, Cultural Maoism, and Anarchy.
It will be out in November.
And this book shows how the result of what we're going through is anarchy and we are entering the anarchy.
We are entering an almost ruler-less ability to run these cities.
Cities are going to become wild and dangerous and increasingly vacant.
Businesses leave, central office buildings are empty, restaurants and other stores flee.
Who wants to put up with the homelessness in the streets and the danger of just walking around?
The way Democrats rule is negative.
All of Marxism, all of socialism ends up negativity.
They promise you utopia and you end up in starvation.
Let's end with this.
This is Dr. Jerome Corsi.
Today is Friday.
It's August 18, 2023.
In the end, God always wins.
God will win here, too.
I just pray we don't have a nuclear war as God's judgment on us, and it could happen.
In the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7-14, please join me in getting down on our knees.
We've got to ask God to forgive us for taking God out of the schools.
Having so many babies killed in the womb.
This is in violation of God's law.
And a society which is godless, as our founding fathers knew, cannot be free.
This is Joram Corsi.
We'll be back next week.
We're broadcasting with The Truth Central every weekday.
Thank you for joining us.
