Reckless Policies Endanger the U.S. Middle Class; Is it Time to Ban EVs?

Bidenomics continues to destroy the middle economy from "The Middle Out" and "The Bottom Up" through reckless policies, destroying the U.S. Middle Class through inflation, overreach, over-regulation, Climate-based demands and rendering many under huge credit card debt. How bad is it and will it get worse? What happens next and how can we fight this? This is Dr. Jerome Corse, and today is Wednesday.
It's August 16th, 2023.
This is Dr. Jerome Corse, and today is Wednesday.
It's August 16, 2023.
First story I want to cover has to do with the middle class.
What we're seeing in the United States is a meltdown of the middle class.
Middle classes have wanted people to understand this and a major theme of this show is to warn people the middle class is intentionally being destroyed by an elite in the country who are running economics in order to cause, they know they're going to create inflation because they're printing money like crazy.
We have Unlimited amount of money being created.
We even had last debt cycle, the debt ceiling was lifted.
So there is no real debt ceiling right now.
And who knows when there's going to be another one.
We're probably well into $33 trillion of national debt.
And just a short time ago, it was only $10 trillion.
It's tripled since really George W. Bush was president.
And that's not that long ago.
George W. Bush was elected in 2004, 2008, and so 2012, you know, came pretty quickly.
You know, basically, it was 1996 and 2004.
Those were the two times he was elected.
you know, came pretty quickly. You know, basically, you, it was 1996 and 2004. Those were the two times
he was elected, and 2008 was Obama. So, you know, that 2008 is not that many years ago, you know,
You know, it's a.
It's about 15 years ago.
15 years ago, we doubled the national debt.
Well, the middle class has been shrinking for decades, but in recent years, this has accelerated because of the economic policies that were intentionally put into place.
This is an article by Michael Snyder here that we're looking at, and it's a good article.
Michael Snyder I follow, and he is a very good analyst in terms of understanding the economics and where things are headed.
So the gap between the wealthy and the rest of us is now larger than ever.
That's what's happening.
You're getting a small group of Americans that are really doing better than ever, and the middle class is rapidly disappearing.
So there's an increasingly large group That is doing worse than ever.
The gap between the wealthy and the rest of us is growing.
It's not a good thing for our society.
You could be making as much money as you did a few years ago, but you've lost ground financially because of the loss of purchasing power of the dollar.
So what happens when we print money is that we create a demand, which is increasing artificially, because during the pandemic, we gave people money.
We printed money and gave it away.
And we are now paying the price for that, in that it did raise the price of almost everything that the middle class depends on, so that it's much more expensive to live.
Household income in the United States has declined by 9% since April 2020, after adjusting for inflation and taxes.
In other words, the middle class is a whole lot smaller than it was in 2020 and it gets smaller each passing day.
That's pretty frightening.
Now look at some of the statistics here.
Moody's chief economist Mark Zandi said on the average Americans are now spending $709 more per month on everyday goods and services than they did two years ago.
Well, that's shocking because Americans don't, in the middle class, don't have an extra $700 every month to buy the same things.
So, I mean, you can see, take $100 at the grocery store and see how little it buys.
You know, I mean, it's actually shocking how little, you know, $200, $300 at the grocery store and you haven't bought that much.
Now, how do you feed a family of four or greater?
When you've got essentially a fixed income.
So New Yorkers are feeling the squeeze.
And I know people who cares about New York.
Well, it's a sign of where the cities are.
And it is leading because it's the largest, it's the most democratic control.
I guess that contends with Chicago and with L.A.
But rents in Manhattan soared to a record average of almost $5,588 in July.
That's up 9% from 2022.
And it's hurting tenants struggling to find apartments they can afford.
You know, one apartment hunter said she can't afford, she can't find a studio to suit her work-from-home needs for less than $5,000.
Now, how can you afford that?
You know, the average take-home pay of the middle-class worker is not $5,000 a month after taxes.
So the nationwide average rent-to-income ratio has exceeded 30% for the past two years.
Well, you know, if you're spending 30% of your income, take-home income on housing, How much are you going to spend on food and all the other requirements?
Gasoline?
Gasoline pumps are creeping towards $4 a gallon again.
The national average for gasoline hit $3.85 on Monday, according to the AAA.
That's the highest level since October 19th, and it comes just weeks ahead of Labor Day weekend when millions of Americans are going to hit the road.
And now student loans are going to have to begun being repaid.
Tens of millions are going to be forced to make payments on student loans again.
About 60% of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and many are increasingly turning to debt in order to meet ends needs.
Total credit card debt now exceeds $1 trillion for the first time ever.
That's not a good sign.
Americans are dipping into their 401ks and their IRAs.
And the stories, you know, when the father of two lost his job overnight in 2020, he was panicking about how he would cover his mortgage.
It prompted this person to do something.
He thought he would withdraw $20,000 from his 401k.
It's a decision he's still paying for.
I was hesitant to do it because I knew it would set me back financially in the long run, but I didn't have any other options.
I'd already maxed out my credit card and I was running out of money.
This is not a good sign.
This means that, and it's not gonna stop, because the demand to print money is, we're also then, as the economy begins to go into recession, and it will, it's gonna go into very deep recession, We are going to have a debt crisis.
There's just too much debt.
Commercial real estate is not being occupied.
People haven't gone back to work at offices.
These loans on these commercial real estate buildings and downtowns are going to become due for refinancing.
There's going to be a loss.
Somebody's going to take that loss.
We've already seen Massive walking away from property.
Hilton walked away from its hotel in Union Square in San Francisco.
That shocked me.
That was a very prominent hotel.
And San Francisco has become unlivable, getting very close to it.
The number of homeless are increasing.
The amount of drugs being done, the disability in these cities with needles and all kinds of other nonsense going on in the streets and the inability of the Democratic governors to enforce the law.
At a certain point, please give up.
You're going to lose your career going after a minority because you may abuse them or so-called, you know, do something that causes them to lose their life.
You could spend the rest of your life in prison.
What law enforcement officer, you know, is going to bother enforcing that law?
And you can only enforce laws if the percent of the population that are lawlessness are relatively small.
When you get these roving vigilante mobs that You know, broke into the Nordstrom store in California, Los Angeles, just a few days ago and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of material.
They came in with hoods and bats and broke everything and stole things.
They were out of there and so quickly that no police response was possible.
By the time the police got there, they'd already done their damage and stolen the loot.
And clearly no one in the store is going to go up against that kind of a gang because they're going to beat you.
So we are in the worst economic situation I've seen in my lifetime.
And it's one in which the middle class is not going to get any relief.
And the federal government wants to print money and give it to people again?
Well, that would help in the short term.
But it will only increase prices.
What the Federal Reserve has decided to do, because this is not a demand-created recession, they're going to create a recession by raising interest rates.
And they know it will slow down economic activity and make it harder for corporations to borrow.
Corporations are facing all of these new regulations, these ESG regulations, and all the other demands that the Democratic Congresses and the Democratic administrators, who aren't elected, are imposing.
It becomes impossible to run a city or have economics in which a middle class can support itself.
A country without a middle class quickly becomes chaos, becomes anarchy, becomes dangerous.
And we're headed there.
Chris, do you want to comment?
Let's put this all together with the 15-minute cities and these miscreants that were running around the Topanga Mall a short while ago.
The understanding is the utilities and businesses and where to go and what to do and everything you need is within 15 minutes.
Well, how do they distribute the criminals and miscreants?
Are they going to equally put them in each of these little bubbles here or are more bubbles going to have more of these people than others?
Just out of curiosity, how are they going to pull that one off?
Well, you know, because you go to jail, And you're released because we've got prosecutors who won't prosecute.
Go to jail.
I didn't want to go to jail anymore.
Well, they get arrested.
They get arrested.
Okay.
They get arrested and they are put in some holding cell and within a few hours, they're back on the streets, even if they've committed a violent crime.
Because the cities, I mean, look at the destruction that was done in 2020 during the election by Antifa in cities like Portland.
And the police weren't arresting anyone.
Again, you got this massive mob, and it's how do you arrest everybody?
And if you do, because the judges are sympathetic, everybody is woke.
They think that the criminals are the victims.
And they have the right to be violent.
This is what they've been taught in the schools by this new Marxism.
Just show for a minute the, I want people to take a look.
I've been writing about this extensively.
So I have both on the website, if you'll show them, Chris.
And by the way, if you like this show, please visit our sponsors.
And one of them, this book on the coming economic, global economic crash is happening.
as I it's happening pretty much like I predicted and the gold rush that's going to happen
is about to start if you call that number you can get the book free from Swiss America and the
second one on the truth about global warming about energy global warming and climate change
now do visit the Swiss America and that book I'm going to cover right now because it is it was also
it will explain to you how this climate hysteria is really a neo-marxist movement that's designed
and its purpose is to destroy capitalism to stop using hydrocarbon fuels and to basically negate
this current society to destroy the modern industrial state You know, we're living among people who
Intellectually believe that they are justified to negate, to destroy.
They can burn down cities, they can steal property.
There's arson going on and blaming it on climate change.
I'm watching very closely the situation in Maui and there's some very suspicious issues about how this fire has developed and what the purpose of it is and how it was not contained.
And by the way, Biden does nothing.
He sits on the beach.
Did you hear what he said yesterday?
No, what did he say yesterday?
I can't keep up with all his gaffes.
Yesterday?
Actually, I think I have something on this one as well.
Let's play it.
I have to dig it up.
Essentially, he was talking and I guess he went a little off script when it came to talking about Maui.
This is before touting Bidenomics and his Is a truck driving boyhood when he came up from the middle class and was just a working class Joe.
That's right.
And how many things can be from the bottom of his heart anyway?
I'd have to ask that question.
Everything seems to be from the bottom of his heart.
I don't think I want to know about the bottom of his heart.
Yeah.
Oh boy.
You might find that in a place we don't want to be.
Yep.
So here's what I have.
And what happened was he was yapping on about this and he actually said that he didn't want to get in the way.
Let's hear it.
All right.
Here it is.
Joe Biden talking and don't mind the incoherent part of this because that's most of the speech anyway.
It's painstaking work.
It takes time.
It's nerve-wracking.
Most of the debris can't be removed until it's done.
My wife Jill and I are going to travel to Hawaii as soon as we can.
That's what I've been talking to the governor about.
I don't want to get in the way.
There it goes.
I don't want to get in the way.
Basically what happened was this guy was told he was going to be in the way.
Think about it.
Yeah, I mean, look, Biden is not, he's essentially irrelevant these days.
I mean, he's incoherent half of the time.
He is mentally incapacitated, and the evidence about this family being involved in massive bribery schemes, the whistleblowers is overwhelming, the inability of the press to cover it, the unwillingness of the Justice Department to do anything about it, is shocking to average Americans, and the continued... I mean, how many indictments is Donald Trump going to get?
They indict him for breathing.
All based on emotion.
If he looted the Democratic headquarters and started rioting and everything else, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
Well, he's still getting punished for beating Hillary Clinton.
He's getting punished for being as popular as he is with the American people.
The American people do not want to see this country destroyed.
And the country is being destroyed by an elite who will destroy the middle class in order to gain power.
And that's a formula which does not work historically.
Aristotle, you know, a fundamental prince.
Aristotle studied constitutions.
Now, we've lost his book on constitutions, but he was the one who came up with the idea that there was an executive, a legislative, and a judicial.
The separation of powers goes back to Aristotle.
Aristotle was the one who said, you've got to have a middle class.
Society is stable when it has a middle class.
If the vast majority of people can provide themselves a decent living, you have a roof over their heads, a bed to sleep in, income, the ability to eat and feed the family.
That's the fundamentals.
And if that's there, then the economy and the country can thrive.
If the middle class is thrown on the streets, they can't feed the family.
This is when you get societies that self-destruct.
And we're headed into that.
It's been known for thousands of years.
This is the fundamental human reality.
Now, a president who doesn't understand that or is working for the elite, considers himself one of the elite.
This guy, Joe Biden, came from a pretty well-off family in Delaware.
And, you know, he has lived an affluent life.
Now, because he took the train and went home every night, or claimed to take Amtrak back home from Washington, D.C., he got known as, he billed himself as this working-class Joe.
Okay, well, some of the things he did may have been admirable, but at the same time, he used constantly, from the very beginning of his career, his political office to sell for favors.
He worked with the credit card companies in Delaware to promote laws that benefited them going after people who couldn't pay off their credit cards, and for that got handsomely rewarded.
He cashed in on his politics from the time he was in Congress.
And again, the American people either know this or are seeing it, and it's becoming obvious.
Let's move on.
I want to cover some more today, a lot more today.
So let's go to the next story, which each one of these I think is a big story today.
This is on the electric vehicles.
Now, this one's also written by Stephen Moore, whom I've known for years, and Stephen's a very brilliant economist.
He wasn't advising Trump when he was president.
Now, what he's saying is it's time to ban these electric vehicles.
Okay, why?
Well, first of all, they explode and burn.
New York Fire Department recently reported so far this year there have been 108 lithium-ion battery fires in New York City which have injured 66 people and killed 13.
According to the Fire Department in New York, Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh, I'm sure another leftist, There is not a small amount of fire in an electric vehicle when it explodes.
The resulting fire is very difficult to distinguish, and it is particularly dangerous.
So when these things explode, they're lithium.
And the explosion causes a fire that is not normally, you're dealing with rare earth minerals, you're dealing with very highly flammable material, and it literally, the batteries explode, which means you've got all of this flammable material spread across the whole vehicle, you've got a big lump, you can't move it, and you can't put it out with water.
You have to put it out with chemicals.
Last year, there were more than 200 fires from batteries from these e-bikes, which explode, from electric vehicles and other devices with these lithium batteries.
They're very dangerous, and they're flying around with them, and people don't have a clue.
They say, oh, we don't have any lithium batteries in your luggage.
You say, well, I don't.
People don't know if they do.
Various devices we have may have lithium in them, in the batteries, and we don't know about it.
So a fire ignited at an e-bike shop killed four people near midnight of the morning of June 20th.
The individuals were left in critical condition.
Fire Commissioner warned the New Yorkers that such devices can be very dangerous and typically explode in a way that renders escape impossible.
Fire department reported that in just three years, lithium ion battery fires have surpassed those started by cooking and smoking.
Okay, how do fires start?
People are cooking and they forget to turn off the fire or there's a mistake that occurs and the oil or whatever gets flammable and you've got a fire on the stove and people don't have fire extinguishers in their kitchens.
These fires spread very fast.
Or smoking.
People smoke in bed.
Now this used to be a bigger problem because more people smoked all the time.
World War II generation did.
The ones who fought World War II or dealt during World War II.
And they would fall asleep with a cigarette and the cigarette would catch fire to the bed.
So now we've got EV batteries joining the list.
And e-bike batteries, which blow up in driveways and garages.
So if you keep your electric vehicle in your garage, which is attached to your house, and you charge it overnight, trying to do a home charge, which is cheaper than a commercial charge, you'll find that it could catch fire and it could burn down the house.
And you won't be able to stop it.
Because it's something you don't have, you're not prepared, even if you've got fire extinguishers, they may not stop it.
Okay, so what Seymour is arguing is that, for instance, he's got a couple of very, very important points here.
Number one, if we make public policy on junk science or on a hysterical popular delusion like climate change, And we re-engineer all of our power systems to be not hydrocarbon fuels, which are not fossil fuels.
Read my book and you'll see the chemical formulas which show how the earth makes oil, coal, natural gas on an ongoing basis.
It's being made today, new.
It did not come from dying dinosaurs or dying biological material of any kind.
That's again, a bad idea.
It was a paradigm.
That we need to get rid of because it's not the way it works.
I can show you the chemical equations.
If you knew anything about chemistry.
Unfortunately, we're not teaching chemistry.
We don't teach physics anymore.
We basically teach people in public schools to read.
They're much more interested in teaching them what their gender is in kindergarten.
This is nonsense.
We have a whole energy policy, public policy made by the EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, that mandates that in a few years, virtually all the cars made are going to have to be electric.
How many people are going to have exploding cars?
The technology is not perfected.
They're too heavy, we don't have enough charging stations, and they're dangerous.
So, the other public policy point Stephen Moore is making is that, for instance, Ralph Nader, 1965, I remember he came out with a book called Unsafe at Any Speed.
He went against these Corvairs because they had an engine in the back.
And Seymour points out that they may not have really been all that dangerous, but the public policy point is that, again, on the basis of science that might not have been correct, we made a policy decision, as we did in Three Mile Island.
You know, with the environmentalist fear campaign that they waged with the movies like China Syndrome, which I remember watching at the time, no domestic power plants were built for three decades despite the fact they emit no greenhouse gases.
If the environmentalists wanted to really solve the problem they're worried about, which is one that we shouldn't be trying to solve, eliminating or reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, we should be happy we've got carbon dioxide.
We're in an interglacial, between ice ages, warming period.
And the Earth is thriving, producing a lot of food.
We didn't build any power plants.
We're not going to nuclear power plants.
Everybody's afraid of them.
The U.S.
Navy runs on nuclear power.
It does not have accidents every day.
So the Greens are pushing aside any collateral damage.
They don't want to talk about the deaths or injuries that EVs cause.
They're going to mandate that all new cars sold in the United States by 2032 Which is like nine years from now are EVs that could cause many thousands of Americans to die or be injured from electric vehicle fires.
And all this is hypocritical because you know the left used to say no trading blood for oil.
Now they're willing to trade blood in order to get Americans to stop using oil.
But they don't understand that the energy needed to produce wind turbines, to solar panels, the electric batteries, there's new science coming out every day that refutes these arguments.
It does not save emissions.
I've just downloaded two papers.
One was by two of the professors who praised my book, These were two professors who, I have the article here, who basically published what looks like a legal brief preparing if there is a climate lockdown.
The scientists who understand that this is a hoax, the carbon dioxide is not the thermostat.
The legitimate science is ready to go into appeals to the courts if there is a climate lockdown.
I see it being prepared.
And the scientists who understand the climate, understand the forces like this Tonga earthquake from the bottom of the sea bed in the Pacific, may have been the strongest volcanic eruption that was ever recorded.
not earthquake, volcanic eruption that was ever recorded.
Like the Krakatoa volcano eruption in the last century that was massive and destructive
before we've had scientific measurement of it.
.
That was always the standard.
Now we've got one that exceeds it.
It could happen again.
It could happen on a massive scale.
The ring of fire could ignite.
This is not a stable planet.
We've got the current from El Nino coming up, which is going to cause warming.
Sun is in Sun Cycle 25, which is warmer, more sun activity than Sun Cycle 24.
And everything is being blamed on climate change.
This is hysteria.
Chris, you want to comment?
That's complete hysteria.
In fact, they tried to, as you've mentioned in previous programs and before, they're trying to pin the, excuse me on that, they're trying to pin the Maui wildfires on climate change when it looks like it's faulty utilities, faulty wiring, and utility issues involving fighting the fires made things worse.
So yeah, the idea is It was said by Marx, Olinsky, and many others, and Pelosi as well, never waste a good tragedy.
Well, and also the fires, you know, the environmentalists who were wanting us not to cut down any trees did not practice forestry in California where they could have prevented fires from happening because they didn't want to take down any trees.
They didn't want to clear the brush.
They didn't want to do normal things for forestry management.
And the same with the grasslands in Maui, which since the end of the colonial period have been largely unregulated.
They're not really in any way monitored for the threat of fire.
And people have a tendency not to take this into consideration.
I mean, I get shocked every time I go to coasts either in the Atlantic or the Pacific and see the amount of building, the amount of houses that are on the ocean front.
And how they're built.
I'm saying, don't these people understand that at some point or other, a hurricane's going to come through here?
It's going to be massive damage?
I mean, you've got to understand that it's going to happen.
Climate change.
Oh yeah, climate change.
There you go.
Problem solved.
Yeah, well there have been five extinctions on the Earth before any human beings walked the surface of the Earth.
We weren't around.
And it was not the You know, the cavemen and their little carbon fires, the caves that cause the ice age to recede.
I live in New Jersey, where I live, I go into my backyard and look at this, you know, look at what's there.
There are these big boulders in the backyard.
There are big boulders all through this area.
They were dumped here by the glaciers that covered the Great Lakes.
This whole area at one time was covered by ice hundreds of feet deep, and it's going to happen again.
Because the earth goes around the sun in what is called the Milankovitch cycles.
It's an egg-shaped elliptical orbit and when it gets most elliptical we have an ice age.
Right now it's very circular and you know the variation is not that great.
It's not like it becomes a huge egg shape.
It just gets more elliptical and that's enough for us to have a ice age.
We didn't have greenhouse gases This place would be uninhabitable, because at night, the sun isn't shining, it's not a tree ornament up there in the sky, that's the source of light and heat on Earth.
And if it escaped at night, if we didn't have greenhouse gases that kept some of that heat here, This place could freeze to be unlivable when it's dark.
When it's dark, the sun is not there.
It's not warm.
It's not bright because the main source of light and heat on earth is on the other side of the planet.
The planet rotates.
These are not hard concepts.
Unfortunately, they're not taught in schools.
Let's go to the last story I want to cover today, which is this Germany Which Germany's going through, by the way, a massive recession.
Germany is, and also I have covered a story of two more.
I mean, the two more stories that I wanted to cover today, I'm gonna be able to touch on them.
China is also going through a tremendous, it's on the verge of economic collapse.
And people don't realize this.
China is also in a debt crisis.
And China has not given the people enough money.
The people can't afford things in China.
Same thing is happening here.
The government could print money and could give it to the people.
So they could increase economic purchasing in the consumers, but some of the large banks have defaulted.
The industrial production is down.
Retail sales are down.
Fixed investment is down.
Property taxes, again, are high.
Unemployment is increasing.
China is in a debt crisis.
It's not our economy is suffering.
We're not buying as many goods from China.
The world is going into a global debt crisis and it's going to collapse.
This debt bubble, all we're able to do anymore is produce asset bubbles.
The housing market's an asset bubble.
It will collapse, will burst.
The stock market's a bubble.
It's going to burst.
That's why I'm telling people, get some gold.
When this happens, gold goes up dramatically in price.
China's buying gold like crazy.
Brick nations are about to go to a currency that is commodity-based and probably also gold-based.
But in the meantime, Germany is sending more tanks to Ukraine, and this is complete lunacy.
Ukraine is going to lose the war.
And the war could easily escalate into a nuclear war.
We continue to send weaponry.
The only beneficiaries of this war are the arms dealers.
The reason wars go on is because the arms dealers need a payday.
The investment bankers like BlackRock invest in pharmaceutical companies, they invest in the arms dealers, the arms manufacturers, and the best thing you can do is have a pandemic to benefit the pharmaceutical companies and have a war to benefit the companies who are making weapons.
And then your stock price increases.
The ones who make money are the elite who are the investment bankers, the elite who own the stock, the elite who manage these companies, and all the rest of us go through pandemics and wars.
They don't care.
There's no morals.
They don't believe in God.
And when you don't believe in God, human beings are capable of doing vicious things.
We're going to wrap this up today.
I covered a lot.
Please, if you do like the show, visit our sponsors.
People are saying my hair looks better and I look younger.
I'm not getting younger, but this My Vital C, I think, is a miracle molecule.
We'll have a book on it out very soon, too.
We just wrapped it up.
It's going in the press right now.
This is Dr. Jerome Corsey.
Today is Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
In the end, God always wins.
God will win here, too.
But please join me in getting down on my knees and asking God to forgive us for having taken God out of the schools, allowing so many babies to be killed in the womb by abortionists.
We have violated God's law, and God rules here, and the judgment of God will come.
I pray that if enough of us get on our knees, God will hear our plea and will save our land, Without having to destroy, the evil becomes so rampant, the evil will destroy and the consequences are going to be disastrous.
Pray it doesn't happen.
Thank you for joining us.
We'll be back tomorrow.
