The Jim Bakker Show with Brian Bolt, Marcus Racoma, Mike Hammond, and Lisa Hill
Marcus Racoma, a 17-year-old youth preacher at Whittier’s City Reach Church, uses film to spread global sermons—even on grilled cheese—while Pastor Brian Bolt (7106 Sorensen Ave) details his church’s 1,000-member revival amid moral chaos, surviving a .22-cali bullet in his carotid artery for 75 days before God healed him. His new book, Revival Fire Now, argues lukewarm faith invites demonic attacks, contrasting with supernatural empowerment like a teen girl stopping a suicide plot and saving a family. Jim Bakker promotes the book (20% off at jimbakershow.com) and a pain-relief patch, ending with a warning of coming spiritual upheaval—yet insists God’s love prepares believers for the storm. Today, our special guests are Mike Hammond, Lisa Hill, Pastor Brian Bolt, and Marcus Recoma with musical guests, Victoria Sanchez and Deidre Rocoma.
Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo De La Vega.
And now, please welcome your hosts, Pastors Jim and Lori Baker.
Welcome back to the Jim Baker Show.
We're glad to have you here today.
Yes.
I want to thank Ricky for taking the show for the last few months.
Well, you've been caring for me.
Yes, it's been an amazing time.
Tell them what you've been doing.
Taking care of you, so to speak.
I've been literally your caregiver.
And, you know, I learned a lot, though.
When Jim had his main stroke back in 2020, and then we had to have some caregivers come into the house and help 24-7.
But I learned so much from those people.
I like you better.
Yeah.
I'm glad.
Thank you.
But I did.
I learned all kinds of little things, you know, and you just learned.
Many of you ladies do caregiving ever for your husband?
Yes, I think all of you.
Yes.
Yes.
I think we all are.
We're like, yes.
The moment he said I did.
I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for this woman.
Well, the Lord.
The Lord.
And you're back, baby.
Yes.
Yes, with you.
Here we are.
And I want to interview you this week if I can.
Okay.
Anytime.
It's a little scary.
We've been through it all.
We have a great group of people here.
Yes.
And especially joining us right today is Pastor Brian Bolt.
Yes.
Yay.
All the way from the great state of California.
And Brian Bolt is from Whittier.
Is that right?
Yes, sir.
Tell us why you're still in California when it's rioting and all the things they're doing up there.
I'm glad you asked, Pastor Jim, because revival is happening in California.
Thank you, Jesus.
There is a remnant that is on fire for Jesus.
And we have a bunch of young people that are so you have a big church.
Yes.
I guess.
And it's in Whittier.
Yes, sir.
Do you have an address so people could come to see you?
It's 7106 Sorensen Avenue in Whittier, California.
And it's 90606.
It's called City Reach Church, Whittier, California.
And God is moving.
Who is that boy next to you?
So this is Marcus Ricoma.
Hey, Marcus, it's great to have you.
Marcus just graduated high school six months early.
I'm kidding.
So he could continue to travel the world with a bunch of us.
He's been to Indonesia.
He's been to the Amazon jungle.
He's been to El Salvador.
He's been to Africa.
And he's preached the gospel.
He's ministered through camera and film.
Yes, sometimes.
Tell me what you do in your church.
So I am a marketer, so I have cameras.
And a lot of times I'm moving around.
I'm doing, I'm editing videos.
I'm trying to deliver what my pastor does around the world.
He can preach to a church and I can help bring it to the nation through God.
What do you like to preach on?
I just, whatever comes to me, or like when I pray, I write a lot of times after I pray and I could do a bunch of random things.
I just like picking a topic and just going deep.
I've done like a message on grilled cheese before.
That's what you're doing.
That's how you learn to preach right there.
That's what you do.
That's pretty good.
It's time.
How old are you, by the way?
I'm 17 years old.
Wow.
It's time for the teenager to step up.
Yes.
Yes.
I want you to preach the gospel and be bold.
Come on.
Don't be afraid.
Amen.
God's with you.
Yes.
I can see it in your eyes.
Yes.
Your eyes sparkle.
Yes.
You're not dead.
You're alive.
Well, Pastor, tell me about your young preacher here.
Yeah.
Well, Marcus has been serving the Lord since he's been little.
And to see him so on fire, and it's not just Marcus.
We have a whole army of youth and young adults.
How big is your church?
I don't mean to.
No, no, we seat about a thousand people.
Our building seats about a thousand.
On Sunday morning, the bottom and the top is full.
And then we have a Sunday night.
And then we have a Wednesday.
And then California.
In California.
Then on Friday, we have young adults.
We just had almost 100 young adults on Friday night, just a week ago.
So there is a remnant that is on fire.
These young people are hungry.
Victoria, who's back here getting ready to sing for us.
She's one of our young adults.
Miraculous Journey00:02:32
She's only 20, I'm going to guess 23, 24.
And you should hear her sing.
Sometimes she gets so excited when she leads praise and worship that she'll like almost run through the wall.
She's jumping, spinning.
I don't know how she keeps singing while she's spinning, jumping.
And she was at church 24, 14 on Sunday, and I thought she was going to run out of the building.
She was so on fire.
Yay.
Pastor, how long have you been preaching?
For over 20 years.
So God's been so good.
You've been shot.
Yes.
And they hit you in the eye.
So what happened was, you know, I was very young, and I grew up in Maryland.
When I was young, about 13, 14, I started doing drugs.
And I had good parents, but I ended up going down a dark road.
Yeah.
And it took me down a very bad path.
And one day in my early 20s, I was just selling drugs, just trying to get enough money to get high.
And a guy put a gun to my head, and he put it right on my cheek, and it went off.
And I saw my own blood come out of my head like a water fountain.
Oh, my goodness.
My first thought was I was so happy I was going to die because I had nothing.
And the paramedics and the ambulance came and they put me in the back of the ambulance.
And one of the EMT workers said, I shouldn't do this.
But he said, before you die, I need to ask you a question.
He said, you know Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior.
Wow.
I heard about Jesus my whole life, living in America, but I didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus.
And in the back of an ambulance, I asked Jesus into my heart.
It's the last thing I did.
And I woke up a week later in the hospital.
The bullet, it was a .22 caliber handgun.
So the bullet pinballed in my head.
So I got shot in the cheek and it pinballed and ended up embedded in my carotid artery.
So for 75 days, I couldn't eat, speak, or swallow.
But later on, I realized the same Jesus that saved me began to heal my body.
Praise God.
And so they said you never talk again, you never do this.
But all this stuff came back.
And you preach.
And now I preach.
Now I shout, now I spin.
Now I dance.
You invited me to come to your church.
I want to come to your church.
Our church would love if you came.
We would love it.
You would be, we had Pastor Mondo come too.
Mondo.
The Lord is in that atmosphere.
And to see Pastor dedicated not only for the local community, you got to understand his church is in the middle of where I grew up in East LA, California.
And for me to do a full circle and come back, it's miraculous.
Come What May00:15:42
It really is.
Because people like me, we are told, lock them up and throw the key away.
And my homeboys reminded me every day, don't make plans past 18 years old because you're not going to live to see that day.
Yet, almost, my birthday's coming up.
Yes.
And I made it past 18, a full circle to go back to East LA.
And thank you for giving me the platform to be there because university.
Can we tell your age?
Absolutely.
Okay.
He never tells the thing.
He's older than he looks, folks.
Yes.
And he's my.
I'm not 17.
I can tell you that.
No.
Pastor youth.
You know, when you look at America right now, politically divided.
Yes.
And economically strained, morally confused.
How would you describe the spiritual condition of America?
You know, that's a very good question, Pastor Jim, because I think right now there are pockets in America that are absolutely lost, broken, hurting.
The world has become a very different place than even when I got saved over 20 years ago.
These young people are dealing with things I never even dreamed was possible.
They're dealing with such a demonic agenda.
That's right.
And it is a demonic agenda.
The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus comes to give life and life abundantly.
And there's such a demonic agenda.
There's an attack on our youth and our young people.
But what I see also too, where there's this divide, the light is shining.
People are burning.
And you got to burn until the darkness breaks.
I think lukewarm Christianity is over.
The time of seeker-friendly Christianity, people want the real thing.
They're hungry for the power of God.
They're hungry for a move of God.
Coming in and doing church for one hour and coming in and singing three songs, hearing a little cute sermon with a couple poems and a point, those days are over.
People want the real thing.
They want the power of the Holy Ghost.
Just like, Pastor Jim, you've been doing that for years.
The power of the Holy Spirit, seeing souls saved, seeing God move all over planet earth.
And people are coming back to that and they want the real thing.
So I see fires sparking all through this country, fires of the Holy Ghost that are burning strong, and we are not shrinking back.
The church right now, the remnant church, I'll say it like this, the remnant church is alive and well.
And we are taking back everything the enemy has stolen.
Everything.
But you got a packed out church.
Oh, we love it.
And they get wild.
Let me tell you, Pastor Jim, when worship and praise starts, if you're up front, you could potentially get hurt.
You might need some of your products.
I mean, arms are swinging.
People are dancing.
I mean, people are moving and grooving.
Well, people want being touched by God.
They want to feel God.
They want to be a part of God.
Yes.
Well, I'm so excited, Pastor Jim, because we brought Pastor Deidre and Victoria with us.
Yes.
They are incredible.
So if you're all right, Pastor Jim, they're going to lead us in a worship song or maybe even a praise song and we'll just see what the Lord does.
Whatever they do in your church, what I like them to do here.
Come on.
For your mercy never fails me.
All my days have been held in your hand from the moment that I wake up until I lay my hand.
I will see of the goodness of God.
Because all my life, all my life, you have been faithful.
Yes, sir.
And all my life you have been so, so God.
Every breath
That was nice Yes sir.
Preach a little better.
Yes, sir.
I've been preaching this.
It's been on my heart since the beginning of the year, and I just can't shake it.
I believe this is the season that Christians are going to get out of the boat.
Now, obviously, everybody knows the story in Matthew 14, where Jesus sends his disciples to the other side of the sea.
And he just got done feeding 5,000 men, not including women and children, probably 20, 25,000 people.
And he tells them, I want you to get in this boat and go to the other side.
Yes.
The Lord told me this so strategically at the end of 2025, beginning of 2026.
He says, this is the year my people are going to the other side.
The things that have held them back, the things that have had them bound, lost, confused, this is the year of breakthrough.
This is the year of restoration.
This is the year we're making it to the other side where we're going to see the fruitfulness of God, the anointing of God greater than before, the power of God.
And I'm excited.
So they start to go into the middle of the sea.
The Bible says, because this story is found in Mark 6 and John 6, that they were straining rowing.
So they're having a hard time, but they got halfway.
And I want to just encourage a few people watching.
Maybe in 2025, you worked hard.
You gave it your all, but you felt like you were going nowhere.
That's right.
They strained.
They were straining at rowing.
They left in the evening.
Jesus meets them at the fourth watch of the night.
So they've been rowing for about eight or nine hours.
And there's times where you can feel like you've been rowing, giving God your everything.
You're doing everything you're supposed to be doing and you're going nowhere.
And I want to just encourage you, if you're watching and you feel like 2025, I gave him all, but I didn't see progress.
I didn't see me moving forward.
God says to you right now that you didn't quit.
And there's something about not giving up, even when things were tough, even when things were difficult, even when things didn't go your way.
You did not give up.
And God says to you, breakthrough is coming.
Power is coming.
And you're going to break through in this season because you didn't give up.
Amen.
So, Pastor Jim, just to end with this.
All of a sudden, Jesus comes walking on the water.
The disciples think he's a ghost.
And next thing you know, he says, be of good cheer.
It is, I do not be afraid.
And all of a sudden, Peter said, Lord, if it's you, command me to come to you on the water.
And all of a sudden, Jesus said, come.
And I want to just encourage someone.
2026, when you have a word from God, you will get out of the boat and you will not walk on the water and you won't just walk on the storm.
You're going to walk on the word.
And this is the year God's going to give you a fresh word and you're going to walk on the word.
You don't need a paragraph from God.
You don't need 76 sentences from God.
You just need one word from God.
And one word from God, you can walk on the sea.
You can walk on the storm.
You can walk on the water.
You can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives you strength because we're the head, not the tail, above, not beneath.
All of a sudden, Peter gets out there.
And I know there's naysayers in churches and all around us.
And I could just imagine because I've pastored for a while, the other 11 on the boat when Peter got out of the boat probably said, look at Peter now, trying to be like Jesus again.
And you know, anytime you take a step of faith, people aren't going to like it.
Anytime you get out of the boat, not everybody's going to like it.
Oh, boy.
And let me tell you, I'm here to tell some people, don't listen to the naysayers.
Don't listen to them.
No.
Let them talk.
Let them talk.
The only reason they're talking is because they're not doing what you're doing.
Somebody watching our show needs to hear this right now.
Naysayers, stop listening to them.
They're going to get you nowhere quick.
And they're not operating in faith.
And it's impossible to please God without faith.
So all of a sudden, Peter's on the water.
Yes.
And he starts getting his eyes off Jesus.
And this is the part I love.
You know what?
A lot of naysayers will say he sunk.
That's not what my Bible says.
It says beginning to sink.
That means it's a slower process.
If anybody has a revelation about how water and weight works, when you sink, you sink quick.
It says beginning to sink.
So that means he was sinking slow enough to cry out for the Lord to save him and to be able to stretch his hand out to God.
That's even supernatural.
His beginning to sink was supernatural.
And God wanted me to tell some of you in 2026, you might beginning to sink, but even your beginning to sink is going to be supernatural.
Amen.
God's going to have your back.
He'll never leave you nor forsake you.
He'll stick closer than a brother.
And so all of a sudden, beginning to seek, God pulls him up.
And I love this about our Jesus.
If you call on the name of the Lord, you shall be saved.
Amen.
Whoever, doesn't matter if you're a Muslim, atheist, witch doctor, whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Amen.
And I personally believe that Jesus, God gave me this revelation that Jesus and Peter didn't swim back to the boat together.
And I don't even believe Jesus carried him back.
I think Jesus was such a great teacher and preacher.
He said, let me show you.
We're going to do this together.
And they walk back to the boat.
The Bible says the storm ceased.
And it says all of them worship God.
And I believe we're in a season, this season, where people are going to get out of the boat.
They need to.
We can't listen to boat people, naysayers anymore.
No.
I'm tired of boat people that never do nothing for God.
That's what I love about you, Pastor Jim.
You take leaps out of the boat.
He does.
You're exactly right.
And that's what we need.
We need this younger generation not to stay in the boat, but take a leap out of the boat because we're going to walk on the word.
We're going to walk on the storms.
Because the storm didn't stop until they got back on the boat.
And if you got a word from God, some storms you speak to, because when Jesus was on the bottom of the boat before, he got up and said, peace be still.
He told the storm to shut up.
Some storms you speak to and some storms you walk on, but you're meant to have dominion over every storm.
Amen.
So true.
I've been burning up with this.
And so it just, there's a fire inside me that won't shut up.
So I just said, I want more of Jesus.
Well, you've written a new book called Revival Fire Now.
Yes.
And it's a battle call to burn until the darkness breaks.
That's it.
Let me just read.
I just happened just randomly.
We just, thank you so much, Brian, for this book.
And thank you for autographing this.
But I just opened it up and I just start seeing, you know, what the book is really about.
And I just read right here, Revival Fire and the Power of God.
When revival fire comes, the natural becomes supernatural.
That's so true.
Ordinary believers become miracle carriers.
The gifts of the Spirit flow with ease.
Lives are changed in moments that would take years without the anointing.
The church becomes what it was always meant to be, a house of miracles, healing, freedom, and transformation.
That's just one little, one little blurb out of your book here.
That's just right on.
Well, I want everyone out there to have this book.
It's Revival Fire Now.
Rod partially wrote the foreword on this.
Yes.
That's my pastor, Pastor Jim.
I love him so much.
Yes, amen.
Good morning.
We love him.
A battle call to burn until the darkness breaks.
Yes.
Come on, people.
You need this book.
And you need to.
A lot of great endorsements.
You were shot as a boy.
Were you a boy when you were shot?
I was in my early 20s.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, I felt still pretty young.
Yeah, sure.
Can you see out of your eye?
Well, cool story, Pastor Jim.
I was paralyzed on my left side.
So I couldn't shut my eyelid.
So they put a little piece of gold there so I could shut it because it's important to your eyelid.
So after I got God healed me, they did a bunch of surgeries.
I could have got this little piece of gold out.
But I told him, I said, I want to keep it.
I said, it makes me look tougher.
Come on, Sam.
And so, but it also reminds me of what God has done.
Yes, it does.
So it's my little reminder every time what God has brought me through.
Yes.
I want you to order this book today.
Yes.
And read it.
Revival Fire Now.
You can be on fire for God.
You don't have to go along with a crowd.
America's at war.
It's at war with the devil.
100%.
And we need to stand up for God.
Don't turn your back on God.
Don't give up when there's a fight.
Come on.
That's all I've done all my life is fight.
I mean, there's always a battle.
Got to keep fighting.
There is always a battle.
Yeah.
There's always a battle.
But God wins the battle.
God wins them.
If God's for you, who can be against you?
Come on.
So ask him into your heart today.
Live for him.
Yes.
He is going to bless you.
And Pastor Bold, if God can give you a church in California that's going and growing.
Thank you, Lord.
We thank the Lord.
As a miracle, I think, well, I love California because California's a beautiful state.
But evil people have tried to take it over.
Yes, sir.
But you know what?
Two Years To Prosperity00:03:58
There is a remnant.
And what's happening with the young people, I'm so encouraged.
It's so exciting.
And what's happening, they want the real thing.
And quick little testimony, I'll tell you, there was a young girl came to our church and she got saved, filled with the Holy Spirit.
She went to her school and she's there and the Holy Spirit speaks to her and says, I want you to go to the bathroom.
She doesn't understand why, but she does.
There's a young lady in there that brought a pistol.
She was going to kill herself.
And this young girl from our church tells her, there's another way.
I'm going to tell you about Jesus.
Next thing you know, this young girl that was going to kill herself comes to our church.
She gets saved.
Her whole family gets saved.
They get filled with the spirit.
Yeah, let me tell you: when you're on fire for God, it changes everything.
When you have the empowerment of the Holy Ghost, it's true, it changes everything.
It's the fire of the Holy Ghost.
It is.
And we need more of it in this world.
We do.
I'm a Holy Ghost girl.
I love it.
I'm looking at you going like, I love your heart.
I want you to get his book because I want you to read it.
You're going to get the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, like I do.
I'm a builder of Christian libraries.
Come on.
Yeah.
So I want every Christian to have a full library and get you a bookcase if you don't have one and fill them up with God's books.
I got a big library.
I've been collecting books for 100 years almost.
But I love the word.
And the only reason I haven't read this book yet is because I just got it.
It just came out.
And I want, I like what I see.
And it's going to help you to stay burning in personal revival.
I want you to have this book.
And he's even reduced the price for me.
I asked him to.
20% for anybody that's connected to you, Pastor Jim.
Oh, that's sweet.
So it's so you can call and get the book right now.
And the book is called Revival Fire Now.
And it's 20% off.
Yeah, it's on your website.
Yeah, on your website.
Yes.
So they can go there right now and they can get 20% off because they're connected to you.
That's sweet.
And we want you to come preach in California.
We're excited about that.
I'm going to.
We will.
We're taking a trip.
You have to talk to my wife.
Can you hold my hand?
We have two places.
We have two people here.
Aaron and Mondo both know how to travel with us.
They know how to.
Mondo.
We'll get Mike's Mars.
Yes, Mike.
We'll stop in Yellowstone.
And then we'll go back to the Golden Stain.
That's right.
Mike Hammond and I see you.
And I want you to come back to my show tomorrow.
Will you?
I'll do it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Remember that God loves you.
Come on.
Don't let anybody tell you He doesn't because they're liars.
God loves you.
He died for you.
And Jesus is coming.
And I want to be ready.
Oh, I wanted to read about what Jesus is going to do, but I don't have time today, but I'll read tomorrow.
Okay.
Remember, He's prepared a place for us.
And you know what He said?
He said He's going to wipe away all tears from our eyes.
You don't have to worry about the world.
I just talked to a prophet, and His word is we have maybe two years to really have prosperity for our blessing.
But He said, All hell's going to break loose.
And we need to be right with God, and we've got to be determined we'll not be moved.
Come on, Amen.
Revival fire now.
God loves you, He really does.
Bye-bye.
Signal Relief Patch Testimonials00:01:05
bye-bye here's what people are saying about signal relief Oh my gosh, it's amazing.
It's unreal.
Like it's, I mean, relief more than anything else.
Yeah, that is so cool.
I don't know what's in that thing or what it does, but it works.
It really, really works.
I put the patch on, and about like maybe not like five minutes, not even feeling the warmth, it's really working.
So thank you.
To the point that now I'm wearing a signal relief patch 24/7.
Using the Signal Relief Patch, I can say that I've been relieved of the different types of pain that I experience.
The Signal Relief Patch for me actually means relief.
