Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show.
Our special guests today are Dr. Joshua and Lisa Fowler.

And now here is your host, Pastor Jim Baker.
And we're so happy to have Joshua Fowler.
Am I saying that right?
Yes, sir.
That's right.
And his wife is over here with us.
And his wife was with us yesterday on the show, Lisa Fowler.
That's right.
Wonderful.
That's a little show we did yesterday.
That's right.
And Joshua, we've got your book, The Five Portraits, on our show today.
And I really want to make this clear to the people.
And I want them to get it because I think it's a very important book to study for what God wants to use them for now in the last days.
Yes, sir.
So tell us about the five portions and let's get started.
Yes, sir.
Well, you know, in John chapter 5, Jesus, he went to the Pool of Bethesda.
Many of us know this story, but a few years ago, I went through a detox of churchianity and religiosity, and the Lord began to show me how, after deconstructing what I thought the church should be, what the church should be.
And he took me here and he said, notice where I'm at in the Pool of Bethesda, where I'm standing.
And he showed me he was standing in the midst of the five porches.
And he said, I want to build my church in the midst of five porches.
I want you to reestablish these five porches.
This is how we'll be prepared for the end times.
This is how we'll bring in the last and greatest harvest.
This is how we'll see the greater glory that so many prophets have prophesied about.
It'll come to the earth when all five porches are established.
He said, I want my apostles' porch, my prophet's porch, my teacher's porch, my evangelist's porch, and my pastor's porch to be re-established.
He took me to Ephesians chapter 4, Brother Jim, and he showed me how he gave five gifts, these five gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, but not for them to be this great leader where you kiss their ring and where they sit on a throne.
But he gave these fivefold leaders to equip the believers to do the work of the ministry, to bring them into maturity.
He said, notice this.
This is how you'll come into the fullness of Christ.
You come into the fullness of Christ when you have all five porches built in your life.
So he showed me these five porches.
People were coming on these porches.
So they'd get on the apostles' porch.
They'd be trained.
They'd get on the pastors or the prophets or the teachers or the pastor's porch and they'd be equipped.
And then they'd go back down these porches like runways, which leads me to this.
Years ago in the 80s, the Lord came to me in a vision and he showed me the sea of lost humanity.
The people's heads were floating and they were bobbing in the sea of lost humanity.
And the Lord and I was sitting suspended in the air looking down at this.
This is one of my first encounters with him.
And I'm looking down at the water and he showed me these tugboats.
They were like this.
There was a tugboat and then there was a John boat and then there was life preservers and they were all around the tugboat and they were in shouting distance of one another.
Several of these were in the sea of lost humanity and there were three that were just under us and he said, why won't they come together?
There was one here and one here and one here.
They were all close enough they could shout at each other, but they wouldn't come together.
And he said to me, he said, they're building their own kingdoms.
He answered his own question.
He said, they're building their own man-made kingdoms.
And he took his hand like you would take your hand in a sink or in a tub and he reached beneath the ocean.
I don't know how he did it, but he's God.
He pulled the plug and one by one, these man-made kingdoms, these tugboats, began to plummet beneath the sea of lost humanity.
And then I could see him crying as we looked, and the people were weeping and they were holding on to pieces of the shipwreck of these ministries that they had put their hope in one man.
And then he took his hand and he pushed away the fog.
And when he pushed away the fog, there was an aircraft carrier and there were five planes on it.
And he said, these are my five-fold ministries study that.
He said, I've called you to raise them up, to commission them, to bring them together.
And he showed me the tower, and he said, that represents divine order and government I'm bringing back to my church for the great harvest and for the end times.
And so I've studied this for years, and I never thought I would write such a book.
I didn't feel like I was the one to do it.
You know, I always looked at people like Dad Hagen or Bishop Hammond or Dr. Summerall and some of these great generals.
But the Lord kept saying, write the book.
Encounters Happening Now 00:15:33
So he sent prophet after prophet to me.
They said, write the book.
Now, I've written seven other books.
But he said, write the book.
And I would say, yes.
They said, no, the book, the one you want, that you're not writing.
I mean, they get specific with me.
So I said, okay.
I locked myself away and started writing this book.
And he encountered me with this passage in John 5.
He said, for my church to see, just like that lame man got up and walked after 38 years, for us to mobilize this great army, we're going to have to see the five porches reestablished.
That is so important.
And Ricky, this is our book.
That's right.
Yes.
I'm claiming it.
It's yours.
I want.
No, it's we as a ministry.
That's right, with evangelist publishing.
That's what we put on the five porches.
That's right.
Well, as a ministry, we believe in the five-fold ministry.
The prophets, the preachers, all the other, all the five.
Yes, that's right.
That's what we put on the air.
Yes.
And we believe in the five porches.
Well, look at us.
We're five here today.
Amen.
Is it for every believer or is it just for those in leadership?
Every believer.
So if you get this book, you're not going to just learn about apostles or prophets or evangelists or pastors or teachers and say, wow, I've got knowledge about them.
But no, that anointing is for you as a believer for it to flow through you.
God wants you to be apostolic.
You say, how can I be apostolic?
You need to recognize you were sent for such a time as this.
That sent anointing is coming upon your life to go and bring in the harvest.
How can I be prophetic?
God wants you to prophesy too.
Prophesy to your neighbors.
Prophesy to people when they're at the gas pool.
Prophesy to people in Walmart.
Prophesy to people.
Let God begin to encourage and release his word through you.
How can I be pastoral?
Take your coffee table.
Take your job and begin to pastor the people around you.
Begin to see them as people that are in your sheepfold.
Come on, somebody.
Be a teacher.
Teach what you've received from Pastor Jim, from these great leaders.
Teach it to others.
God wants to entrust more to you.
When you're faithful over a few things, he'll make you ruler over much.
Be an evangelist.
You say, well, I'm not an evangelist.
Well, Paul told Timothy, do the work of an evangelist.
Go and win souls.
He that winneth souls is wise.
The exact opposite of it is true as well.
He that don't is stupid.
Don't be stupid.
Win souls.
Win the harvest.
You don't need to be a bobblehead believer and set up in your church and just do this for the rest of your life.
You need to get out in the harvest and bring in the harvest.
It's great and it's ready.
And you're exactly right because this is what Jesus has for the last days.
Yes.
Every one of his saints has got to be a part of the army.
Yes.
We're not a losing army.
We are the winners.
Come on.
Win with God.
Yes.
And listen, awful things are going to happen on earth.
I wish I couldn't didn't have to preach the whole Bible, but the end of the Bible is pretty awesome.
Yes.
And if you, you know, if you believe it, it doesn't make any difference.
You don't believe it or if you do it because it's going to happen.
That's right.
And the end times are here.
And all these things are about to happen without God's help.
There's going to be some sort of war, a civil war in America or in a world war.
The people in America are itching to fight.
I've never seen America hate each other so bad.
You know what will prevent that?
You know how we can avert that?
Or only God can do it.
And as the people of God, we are able to pray.
What did he tell Abraham?
If he could find 50 righteous, one righteous, he turned and he got Lot and his family and redeemed them.
I believe there is a righteous remnant in the earth right now that can pray.
We can avert the plans of the enemy.
We can stop him dead in his tracks.
How?
We can release the greater glory in the earth.
There is a greater glory that's being released.
Yes, the enemy is going to do his thing.
But before he does his thing, Brother Jim, there's a great harvest.
There's a great glory.
There's a great revival.
There's a great awakening.
And you know what you said a while ago?
When you said there's an army rising, you know, you know how I call them?
You know, you heard about the Avengers?
Well, there's another group called the Awakeners.
There's a group of awakeners that are arising that will awake the world to the love of God like never before.
Pastor, there's encounters happening right now.
Listen, I love this because you write about the five loaves, the five stones, the five facets of Christ.
And I want to tell you something.
If you don't feel like you're called, just step into a God-encounter moment and He will give you an anointing that you had never had before to teach, to preach.
And I want to tell you something.
God is available right now, at least in my lifetime, more than any other time, because the people are wanting an encounter with God.
What do I mean by that?
When people start showing up to a tattoo shop and wanting to hear the word, who's going to be there?
Yes.
I said, yes, Lord.
And guess what?
I started a Bible study a few months ago at a tattoo shop because people were gathering and then bikers are starting to show up.
And then people that are wanting tattoos are now staying to the Bible study.
And then grandmas praying for their kids.
There's a moment in time where God is going to show up and encounter his people, whether they're believers or non-believers.
The question is, are you ready to receive the anointing?
I believe this book, I'm reading just through the index.
I'm getting excited.
Yes.
Because I want to tell you something.
I want God to move so desperately the way He moved in my life.
I encounter the God of peace, the God of love, the God of forgiveness.
And then after that, He began to cleanse me.
I repented of my sins.
And all of a sudden, that anointing that I never thought I had, because the world told me, Pastor, lock them up and throw the key away.
And then my homeboys, my friends, the people that I was willing to live and die for, were trying to put this curse on me, telling me at the age of eight, nine, ten, all the way up to my teens, don't make plans past 18 years old because you're not going to live to see past that day.
Well, I got good news for you.
When you encounter God, Jeremiah 29:11 appears.
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.
The rest believe me.

Pastor, why is it that all these years people spend time with the Lord?
They go to church.
We do the thing.
But yet, the number one thing I'm finding out is that people are frustrated because they don't know what they're called to do.
That's so true.
With your book, how do we find the calling of God in our life?
Well, just think about it this way.
I'm not going to say this has to be this way, but what if the church established these five porches?
What if we had an evangelist porch where we equipped evangelists in our church in the ecclesia and we raised up the believers, the everyday believer, to move and function in the evangelistic anointing?
And we took those people instead of being bobblehead believers and they began to go out into the harvest intentionally, individually, and corporately.
And we trained them with an elevator pitch.
We trained them to at the Walmart while they're standing in line.
They have 60 seconds of a captive audience to tell that person about Jesus while they're on the elevator, whatever.
And we take them, and that evangelist's porch is established.
What happens?
Then we begin to see people come in on that porch and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
There's no other way to the Father but through Christ.
And then from there, what if we handed them off to the pastor's porch and we ministered sozo to them?
And there were true shepherds in the house, not just the guy that preaches on Sunday, but we raised up a multiplicity of pastors, of shepherds that love the Lord, that shepherded in their homes, in their neighborhoods.
And we begin to give sozo to the people and bring healing to the people.
And then we pass them over to the teachers.
And what if the teachers begin to disciple them and groom them?
And you didn't just have to go to a conference to get your teaching, but in the house there were teachers.
And then those people begin to learn to teach others also.
And they're teaching people on their breaks.
And they're functioning in the teaching anointing.
And then what happens if those teachers hand them over to the prophet's porch and they begin to know who they are and they begin to know that they can hear God for themselves?
They don't have to go to a prophet for a word, but they can have the word of God for themselves.
And they begin to prophesy and they begin to know their destiny and they begin to speak to people.
And then what happens if that prophet's porch hands them over to the apostles' porch and the apostles' porch?
He says, No, you're not here just in the house, but you're called to be sent with the Father's heart.
You're called to go forth and fulfill the great commission.
I tell you what would happen.
We'd have a great harvest.
We'd have great army of awakeners arising.
We would have the greater glory that's been prophesied.
Why has it been delayed?
Why is it that generation after generation, we keep saying there's a revival coming, a revival coming?
It's because we've been out of alignment with the blueprints of the word of God.
If we'll get back to the five porches, it'll happen.
You mentioned the five loaves.
He said, this is how cities will be saved.
This is how masses will be fed.
How did he feed the masses?
Five loaves and two fish.
Five loaves, the apostles' loaf, the prophet's loaf, the pastor's loaf, the teacher's loaf, the evangelist's loaf.
If we want to see a church thoroughly equipped and furnished and fully fed and no longer malnourished, we need all five.
We need a five-fold diet.
And if we get a five-fold diet, and you don't just come to church and hear the pastor every week, and you don't come to hear an occasional evangelist or an occasional prophet, but if they're all functioning together, then the believers will be fully fed.
We will not be malnourished and ill-equipped anymore.
And guess what will happen from that?
What will happen from that?
The whole city will be fed.
Thousands.
I see thousands of people being fed.
I see whole cities coming to Jesus.
You know, I know there's perilous times.
I know there's end times.
I know there's the mark of the beast, but there's a mark of Christ that's coming to the earth on the face of the earth that will so eclipse the mark of the beast.
These things that the enemy plans to do, they will pell in comparison to the greater glory that's going to come on the earth.
I've seen with my own eyes, I've traveled by the Spirit into time.
I've seen CNN.
I've seen the stations pause in the middle of cities and whole cities being saved.
I've seen people get out and fall on the ground on their faces beside their car and say, the Lord, he is God.
There is a great harvest.
There's a great move of God.
And you know, even that vision I was mentioning to you, the rivers rising, I believe they're rising right now.
Wow.
Wow.
Amen.

I made mistakes and I want to get back into the ministry.
Is it even possible for you, Pastor?
What would you say to that person today?
Rejoice not over me, O my enemy.
When I fall, I shall arise.
If you fall seven times, he'll pick you back up again.
He's a God of restoration.
He's a God that will deliver you.
He's a God of the second chance, the third chance, the billionth chance.
If you're away from him, if you're a minister and you're watching right now and the church turned you out to pasture and said you weren't needed anymore, I've come with a word for you.
God is restoring you to restore those that nobody thought could be restored.
He heals the brokenhearted.
I speak healing.
I decree shalom over you right now, man of God.
Right now over you, woman of God.
God says, get back up.
Come on, get back on the saddle.
Get back on that horse.
God's got work for you yet to do.
Amen.

You may be called to be a teacher, yet you're pastoring.
Maybe you're pastoring and you ought to be an evangelist, but identifying really the five-fold ministry is very educational to understand, not to be frustrated in the church.
Yes.
There's a bishop that years ago said the worst place to be in and not know who you are is in ministry.
And I want to tell you something.
You have to understand God's word.
That's number one.
Read the word.
But understanding the word will elevate you to understanding who God is in your life.
And if you're called to pastor, gather around other pastors that have been seasoned.
I am amazed how many people don't like to be discipled by other disciplers.
And I want to tell you something.
We are living in an hour where a generation is asking questions, and yet the church, and I love the church, I am the church, and we have failed to answer some of these questions.
But then a guy by the name of Charlie Kirk begins to answer questions to a generation, and you see a revival taking place.
I believe that this five-fold ministry that you're talking about, when we are equipped, and can I ask your wife a question?
Because you have written a book as well called God Encounter.
And I want to take some, you even write chapter number one.
I feel like they go hand in hand these years.
Yeah, absolutely.
A divine encounter and the fivefold.
How powerful it is for pastors, teachers, evangelists.
I mean, you name all five.
How important is it for us to have a God encounter constantly?
It's not a one-time thing.
But how important is it?
Yeah, it's a daily walk with Christ, a daily walk with Jesus.
And I truly believe that having God encounters in your life, it ignites, and this is what's happening in the world right now, too.
It ignites a new fire in within you.
And what I keep on hearing is a fire shut up in my bones, and I can't control it.
I can't contain it.
It needs to come out.
So having those God encounters, especially in the five-fold ministry, with the five porches, the apostle, the teacher, the whole five, the whole five-fold, having those God encounters, not just once a month, but daily, daily separating yourself, daily getting in the secret place, allowing God to encounter you, allowing God to come in into you, encountering you.
It sets your heart ablaze again.
Every encounter sets you ablaze again, and this fire keeps on growing and growing and growing.
And so you can mature, so you can step into the five-fold ministry and go out and do and spread revival.
Revival starts with us.
Revival starts right here.
Revival is not a crowd of people.
A revival is not thousands of people, but revival starts right here.
And if your heart is on fire, and if you've revived and revival is brewing inside of you, inside of each five-fold ministry, this is how we have revival in earth.
This is how we spread, even just spread the love of Jesus.
And I love the fact that Charlie Kirk's testimony is going beyond reach because I do believe that's ignited in new fire.
It's ignited a new fire in us to open our mouths, to not be quiet anymore.
And it's helping us have a hunger for a new God encounter.

Ask him to forgive you of all your sins, cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
And he will do that.
And then he says, with your mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
You tell other people, I'm a Christian.
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior.
And he will stand and confess you before the Father.
Yes.
So be sure to find Jesus now.
Don't wonder.
Don't hope.
No.
Yes.
And live in the Word of God.
Amen.
And hide it in your heart.
And God will keep you from all sin.
