Lean Into God's Peace 00:09:55
Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show.
Today, we will discuss revelation events that matter to you.
Our co-host is Mondo de la Vega.
And now, here is your host, Pastor Ricky Baker.
Hello, friends.
You're watching the PTL Television Network.
If you're watching this, I want you to remember one thing.
If you don't take anything else away from the show, remember this: the Lord loves you and He's crazy about you.
He sent His one and only Son to come live a perfect life, fulfill all the laws perfectly.
And then, Mondo, He went to the cross on our behalf.
You know, the Bible says that He went to the cross for the joy set before Him.
Friends, if you've heard this once, you've heard it a thousand times.
Let it be at the forefront of your mind.
If you're wondering what the joy set before Jesus was, well, it's you.
Go find a mirror at some point today and look at it and look yourself in the eyes and say, I am the joy that was set before Jesus.
Friends, you are loved, you are cared for in a world that has, you know, the opposite of peace right now.
It's turmoil and craziness in a world that doesn't feel very safe.
In a world that feels dark, we have a security, we have a light, and we have a peace.
Not just any peace, we have the peace, Mondo.
You know, one thing that the devil cannot recreate is peace because he has no peace.
But we serve the Prince of Peace who gives it to us, Mondo.
And what a beautiful thing that we can relish in the goodness of God every day.
When you experience the peace of God, it changes you.
That's right.
I remember when I walked into the church almost 30 years ago, and the man that was giving the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ penetrated my soul.
Amen.
Because I was searching for peace.
I was searching for love.
And the one thing that began to change my life at that moment, Ricky, was the power of peace that overcame my whole life because I had lived in so much chaos.
Everything in my life was chaos.
Every conversation was chaos.
Every relationship was chaotic.
The environment that I was in was chaotic.
I don't know if you've ever been in a situation where everything around you is chaos.
People that walk into your life carry chaos.
Their conversation is chaos.
By the time they leave your presence, you feel exhausted.
And that's how I felt in that church almost 30 years ago.
I was exhausted of the way I was living because everything in me and about me and around me was filled with chaos until the Prince of Peace walked in and calmed my storm.
Amen.
Friends, peace is only found in one place.
It's Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone.
If you're not a believer, there's never been a better day to become a believer of Jesus Christ.
And if you're saying, well, I have fallen from grace and fallen from mercy.
I've turned my back on the Lord.
Friends, it's never too late if you have breath in your lungs to turn back to God and say, God, I want to pursue you with everything that I have.
I have a video from your friend, Pastor Jim Baker.
He's talking about peace, safety, and darkness during these times.
This is the founder of the PTL Television Network and your friend, Pastor Jim Baker.
Listen to this.
I'm going to give you some scripture that I believe God has given me for today.
1 Thessalonians 5:3.
Now, listen to me.
This is what God is speaking to me over and over and over again.
For when they say peace and safety, and you know what that word, peace and safety, you know what that means in the Greek also?
It's prosperity.
Can you believe that?
So when they cry, peace and safety and prosperity, then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
Suddenly, these things are going to happen.
And we're in the time where perilous things are going to happen.
Yes.
And the suddenly is going to happen.
And God's people need to be ready to preach the gospel.
When they shall say, peace and safety, and that's what you're hearing a lot over here in 1 Thessalonians.
And then suddenly destruction come up upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
But you, brethren, now listen to me.
You, brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief.
That's why you've got to get into the word.
Right.
I have pastors tell me, no, we don't want to talk about it.
We don't want to talk about the last days.
We don't want to talk about politics.
We don't want to talk about what's happening.
But I'm telling you, if you don't know what the Bible says, God let me go to his university for five years.
And I studied the word and come to find out what was coming on the earth.
And he said, Jim, I want you to be a watchman.
I want you to watch.
And let me finish this little part.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief.
See, everybody says he's coming as a thief in the night.
He is coming as a thief in the night, but not for the church.
Not for the Christian.
Right.
That's it.
He said, I'm going to let you know.
I'm going to tell you.
And here's the things.
We're going to find out where we are right now.
And ye are all the children of light and the children of the day.
We are not of the night or of the darkness.
Therefore, let us not sleep as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Wow.
That suddenly is near, people.
Amen.
Mondo says, let us not be asleep during this time.
We need to be watchmen and watchmen on the wall.
Mondo, right now, what's happening is we're seeing storms threatening over 90 million people on our east coast.
And Mondo, I don't think that that is coincidence, especially during the season we're in.
When you look at the revelation in the news, you realize that extreme weather is always tied into whatever God pointed out in his scripture.
That's right.
Well, let's just say here it says Luke 21, 25 through 26 says, there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars on the earth.
Nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
What does that mean for us today?
These storms are not random.
They may be signposts pointing us to the urgency of turning to God during this time.
Obviously, friends, it's time to evaluate our foundation.
Is it on Christ, which is a solid rock, or is it on shifting sand, Mondo?
We got to go back to the scripture.
And the Bible says in Proverbs chapter 3, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean.
Can you say lean?
We got studio audiences.
Say lean.
Lean.
Not on your own understanding.
In all your ways, say all.
All your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Amen.
This is the season where you cannot lean on your own understanding, let alone on someone else's understanding.
It's very deceptive.
You can't lean on someone's Facebook opinion?
No.
You better not.
You better lean on the word of God.
What about their tweet?
Not even their tweet, their Instagram, their TikTok, their experience, their opinion, their definition.
None of that because it's going to lead you astray.
And we are living in a time that the Bible calls deception.
And that deceptive spirit that is in the earth today is being manifested.
Write this down.
In the information age.
The information age is going to be so deceptive because people are going to trust ChatGPT more than they will the Bible.
That's right.
Therefore, Bible says, Proverbs chapter 3 is what I just read, that no matter what happens, no matter what chaotic thing is going on around the world, you can give your own interpretation.
You can have your own dreams, your own visions, but that doesn't trump what God had already said about the things that are coming, the things that are here.
Now, while we're watching everything that is developing and unfolding, remember this.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Say all.
Oh.
You got to write that word down.
That's a biblical word.
All.
Not just some things, not just a few things, not just the things that fit your definition of what you explain life to be.
Instead, you trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean by any means necessary on your own understanding.
Amen.
I think that's the trouble, Ricky.
Right now, the church is leaning on its own understanding, meaning their own experience.
That's why I feel, I'm going to make you mad, by the way.
That's why a lot of people go back to the revivals of old days because they lean back on those revivals in order to change the current temperature of the culture.
Oh, we've heard the phrase, well, let's go back to what works.
That's it.
And what worked for one generation might not work for the next generation.
God gave new manna to his people.
That's right.
Why wouldn't he give you and us something new today?
I'm not saying change the scripture.
No, we're saying listen into the following of the Holy Spirit.
For this moment now.
That's right.
That's right.
I want to tell you something, but you can't do it when you're falling back into the old things.
I'm not saying don't pray for revival, don't pray for awakening.
What you're saying is our habits and the things we're comfortable with can't trump the move of the Holy Spirit.
Wildfires Burning 00:03:05
No, because new things are happening.
But at the same time, the Bible says where sin abounds, much more.
What, preacher, lady?
Grace abounds.
That's right.
And grace will abound for his people, especially when you're living in the will of God.
You know what we're seeing right now?
It's terrible things happening across the world.
We're seeing, obviously, rainwater is falling and wildfires burning.
Friends, I want you to watch this video because there are things happening across the country and we have to wake up as the church and say, you know what?
Is this something the church can pray for or pray against?
Watch this.
This morning, parts of the East Coast are bracing for more severe weather after days of heavy rain and flooding.
A state of emergency declared in Petersburg, Virginia, a creek in the city topping 15 feet, flooding neighborhoods.
Some backyards accumulating up to 18 inches of water.
In the Northeast, that same system bringing up to seven inches of rain to some areas.
In Plainfield, New Jersey, two women were killed when their car was swept into a brook.
Nearby, this home caught fire and exploded due to an apparent gas leak.
Luckily, the family had already evacuated because of flash flood warnings.
The heavy rain inundated New York City transit, water flowing into subway stations and cars.
Now, as severe weather events like this become more frequent, insurance companies are raising rates.
Next month, homeowners in Illinois with state farm insurance will see an increase of 27%.
In the West, multiple fires are burning out of control.
In Oregon, the cram fire scorching more than 40,000 acres with 0% containment.
South of Denver, the Turner Gulch fire exploding in size since Monday, destroying more than 12,000 acres.
An evacuation order for the area remains in effect.
In the Grand Canyon, fire crews continuing to battle the Dragon Bravo fire as extreme temperatures fuel the flames.
Farther north, hundreds of fires are currently burning in Canada, and that smoke is now spreading into the U.S. Air quality alerts issued this week for parts of the Midwest.
The smoky skies seen over Chicago are similar to what many Americans experienced back in 2023 when smoke from Canadian wildfires made its way into the U.S., creating some of the worst air quality in the world.
No matter what we're seeing, is wildfires engulfing over 45,000 acres near the Grand Canyon.
I mean, Mondo, we know this for a fact.
Fire in the Bible is both a symbol of judgment and purification.
When creation burns, it reminds us how fragile and temporary that this world actually is, Mondo.
You know, Revelation talks about this.
It speaks of fire destroying parts of the earth as part of the end time judgments.
Revelation 8, chapter 7 says, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and a third part of the trees were burnt up.
What does that mean for us today?
That these disasters show us that we can't put our hope in natural beauty, natural structures, or even national parks, that they are all temporary.
God's Correction for Purification 00:03:41
And friends, are you ready for what is actually eternal, Mondo?
Are we ready to go through a little bit of some trials and some tribulations and hold on to our faith?
Now, we're not ready for God's judgment yet.
You have not seen God's judgment yet.
No.
The Bible says and clearly states that we will see God's judgment one day.
I believe what we're seeing right now is a correction for purification.
Amen.
Because we have to understand that God is obsessed with us, God is in love with us.
You ever been in love and you've been obsessed about love?
You do whatever it takes.
You correct.
You never punish.
I think we have a different definition, Ricky, of what it is to be corrected and what it is to be punished.
That's right.
Because God is not interested in punishing us, He's interested in correcting us.
But what does the Bible say?
Whom He loves.
That's right.
He disciplines.
He disciplines.
He corrects.
Amen.
And whom He corrects, the Bible says clearly, is who He loves.
That's right.
He loves this world so much that He has to correct it.
But the Bible has to use signs and wonders and He has to use natural things in order to correct your path.
And right now, the world is in sin.
We were born into sin.
I get it, but we live in sin.
And when mankind not only sins, but continues to sin, what happens?
Self-destruction begins to take place.
That's right.
You told me a story this morning that while you were driving, you started pounding on your steering wheel.
And this is a message for you that I want Ricky to share because I believe that when you see all these events take place, your strength, your faith should be aligning with what's happening right now.
But why did God speak to you privately about faith in the vehicle that you were in?
I was, you know, hearing this, and I was in a moment where I was asking the Lord, you know, why, why all these things?
Why does this happen?
And why does that happen?
And why, you know, I was going through my laundry list of all the things where I was saying, God, what in the world do all these things have to happen for through our personal life, for the ministry, for this, for that?
And so, you know, I told you, I got into a place of just frustration where I hit the steering wheel and I said, Lord, you know, what is it?
Why do we have to go through all these things?
And the Lord says, it's because I love your company.
And I realized, oh, if wait, wait, you're going too fast.
Write that down.
I always tell people, write key things down because they transform you.
Say that phrase again.
Amen.
Because I love your company.
And I realize if we weren't in a place of hardship or hard time or going through a trial or tribulation, we wouldn't as feverishly be pressing our face down into the ground and saying, Lord, I just need you to step into the room.
I don't even need you to come and share a word with me.
I don't need you to come and perform a miracle in front of me.
I just need you to come and be with me.
And you know what I realized is the Lord wants our company.
And sometimes as the American church, because we're very comfortable, Mondo, the only time we give him our company is when we are going through a trial or a tribulation.
Mount Rainier Quakes 00:12:29
We're going through something difficult.
And I realized, oh, you know what?
The Lord's not persecuting me right now.
He's not even getting onto me.
He wants to be with me and he wants my company.
You know, Mondo, the world right now is shaking, rattling, moving.
And the Lord wants the church's attention and he wants the church's company.
You know, the Bible says very clearly in Matthew chapter 24, one of the signs of the labor pains beginning would be earthquakes in various places.
I don't know if you guys know this, but hundreds of small earthquakes have been shaking Mount Rainier.
Did you know that?
Oh, yeah.
I've been studying it.
I want you to watch this.
We watched a video on this.
Watch this because this is important.
This is a sign of the labor pains that are beginning.
Let's take a live look now at Mount Rainier.
There's some activity going on under the peak that has piqued scientists' curiosity.
Let's talk about it.
The volcano is currently experiencing an earthquake swarm.
Scientists at the Cascades Volcano Observatory say since 1.30 this morning, there have been hundreds of earthquakes below Mount Rainier summit, some as frequently, as frequently as one per few, rather, per minute.
The strongest so far of those earthquakes has been a magnitude 2.1.
That one struck just before three o'clock this afternoon.
While unusual, this type of event is not totally out of the ordinary for Mount Rainier.
The mountain normally has eight or nine earthquakes per month, but has produced swarms one to two times a year.
These are kind of in the same area that we've seen swarms before.
So the previous largest swarm was in 2009.
And these are generally thought to be related to hydrothermal fluids or hot fluids that are kind of moving in preexisting cracks underneath the surface.
And those fluids are likely to be heated water moving through the cracks rather than magma.
The earthquakes are happening at a depth of about a mile to nearly four miles below the surface.
We're definitely keeping an eye on the number of earthquakes through time to see if they increase.
But right now, they're what we call volcano tectonic earthquakes.
They're pretty standard, what you would expect to see in other locations, such as just a normal earthquake.
So something that might catch our attention is if we start to see a different characteristic of those earthquakes.
So either they increase in rate or the frequency content changes such that it implies that maybe there might be something else going on.
You know, Mondo, the world is shaking.
The Bible says there'll be earthquakes in diverse places.
You've been following this pattern now for many years.
There's not just an earthquake here and there.
They are truly happening in diverse places at a rate in which it's very difficult to keep up with.
For example, just a few days ago, over a thousand tremors hit Guatemala.
And I want to tell you something.
I gave a word or I shared a word through the scripture on one of Joseph Z's moments in New Year's Eve.
And out of all the people he had, I was the only one that seemed out of bounds with a word for this year.
And that was to watch the Cascadia.
The only one out of, I think he had 50 people in his New Year's Eve.
And I was the only one that didn't make any sense talking about the Cascadia.
Watch the Cascadia.
It's going to start rumbling.
It's going to start shaking.
Watch the volcano underneath.
And here, a few weeks after that, news came along that a volcano had been found in the Cascadia and is going to begin to shake.
And it's shaking more and more.
This can change the landscape of the West Coast in moments.
And I want to tell you something.
If we are living in Revelation days, you better pay attention to the signs that are taking place all over the world because right now, we're watching historic, unprecedented flooding in America in places that no one ever expected.
At the same time, we're experiencing an unbelievable, again, historic, unprecedented wildfires.
At the same time, we're watching unprecedented, historic tremors and shaking and volcano activities all at the same time while we're watching wars break out and wars continuing.
There's a new war about to start between Israel and Syria.
Now, could it be, I'm going to ask the question because I don't think my brother Ricky has probably the heart to talk about it, but I'm going to pull it out of him because I believe that we're going to give you some perspective to help you think about why are these things happening.
Could it be, Ricky, that one of the reasons we're watching, and I have to be very careful with this, but could it be that one of the reasons that we're seeing historic floodings take place in various places.
Well, you want me to tell him what I told you?
Either let's get in trouble.
I was going to say, it is what it is.
I know the vast majority of the Christian world isn't going to like this.
It is what it is at this point.
I told Mondo this, and God is my witness.
I told him, I said, if you're not, you know, God loves getting credit.
If from look at Genesis chapter one to Revelation chapter 22, he loves seeing Israel through hard times.
That's why he told Gideon, get your men down to 300 and go win that war.
It's why he has put them against a wall and, you know, Pharaoh's army coming out them and the sea had split and they were able to walk through and drag on.
He loves getting the credit because he's God.
I did tell Mondo this, and Mondo, you can confirm it's true.
I said, Mondo, I believe if the United States of America gets involved and we actually in this moment, if we get involved and we strike Iran on Israel's behalf, we'll see judgment on our land.
That we will see more floods, more water.
We'll see an actual eye for an eye circumstance.
And he says, well, why?
Neo says, well, are we not the protector of Israel?
I said, it's not the issue of protecting Israel.
It's the issue of God wanting to get his credit.
Israel is running out of missiles.
Israel is running out of supplies.
They look like that there was nothing that could have helped them in that moment.
And I said, and God wanted to show off.
But we, for the sake of, you know, what it looked like to be a Nobel Peace Prize, got in the way.
And that's why I believe that there's judgment coming to our land.
Think about that for just a moment.
Because America's Christianity has moved into a place where we are placing our trust in a man versus God.
That's right.
And guess what?
And this is, I want to say this.
I love the presidency.
I love Donald Trump, but I also love God vastly more than I love America.
I love God vastly more than I love our president.
I love God vastly more than I love my own family.
I am so sold out to the cause of Jesus Christ that Mondo, even when things look hard, I'm willing to say, let God get his credit.
Absolutely.
God is a God of jealousy.
He's a jealous God.
And he loves people.
Because he loves us.
He's obsessed with us.
That's right.
You ever been in love?
An obsessive love?
That's the kind of love God has for the world, for humanity.
We are his precious creation.
Not even the angels get to have what we have.
That's right.
And I want to tell you something.
When we try to steal God's glory, he's going to intervene.
You know why?
Because he doesn't want you to be filled with pride.
That's right.
There are certain things that are non-negotiable with God.
And one of them is he is going to get the glory over your life, over your nation, over this culture.
And he's not about to lose against you, against an ego, against anybody.
That's right.
And I tell you what, God's nation is the apple of his eye, he calls it.
It's Israel.
And he loves Israel.
You know, Mondo, we were talking about this.
I said, you know, read all the news headlines you can go find.
Whether they are pro-Donald Trump or anti-Donald Trump, the common synopsis was this, that the United States saved Israel, that the United States stepped in and that we were the big brother for Israel.
I truly stand by this statement as I was praying to the Lord saying, Lord, why, you know, what are we about to see if we get involved with this?
Because a lot of people were saying this is World War III for us.
If we go and bomb Iran's nuclear facilities, what are we going to see?
And the Lord said, I want my glory.
I want my credit.
Israel was running out of resources, running out of time, people are saying.
They were running out of everything that they could have done to support themselves.
And I truly believe we would have seen a tremendous, I'm talking undeniable hand of God moment over the nation of Israel.
But God no longer gets the credit for that.
The United States of America gets the credit for that.
Wow.
And you know, and when I look at this ministry and where we are today, I can't get the credit.
You can't get the credit.
Your friend, Pastor Jim Baker, can't get the credit.
God gets the credit to have us where we are today.
The way it should be.
The way it should be.
I know this is probably going to be a very controversial show for a lot of people, but the way that it should be, God deserves his credit.
100%.
I'm telling you, Genesis chapter 1, Revelation chapter 22, find one common theme of all of it is God loves getting his credit.
He's a jealous God.
He loves his people.
He loves his nation.
He made a covenant with Israel.
And friends, he's not going to let Israel be destroyed.
It is his apple of his eye.
I'm telling you right now, we're going to see, Mondo, I believe, more events like this where it looks like Israel is backed into a corner and that this is going to be the end of it.
But the Bible says it very clearly that Israel will not go anywhere, that God will continue to protect it.
The Bible says he is Jehovah Jireh, our provider.
That's right.
And I want to tell you something.
Whatever you're going through right now, he's Jehovah Jireh over your situation.
And we pray that you stand with us, that God will use you to let us continue to move forward.
And you know what?
God uses people and he provides through people.
He provides through circumstances.
And when we're up against the wall, God will get the glory at the end of the day because he's obsessed with you.
He's obsessed with us.
And I want to tell you something.
His love provides.
That's right.
And I want to tell you something.
This ministry is still here because he provides financially for you so you can sow a seed into this ministry and provide what we need in order to continue to pay the bills, continue to expand the program.
So pray about standing with us and become that hands extended for this ministry.
Call the number today and say, I'm going to pledge a seed this month and stand with you.
Call the number right now, 1-888-988-1588 or visit the website, jimbakershow.com.
Amen.
You know, we've talked about this so many times, Mondo, when somebody sows a seed into the ministry and we go and we declare the gospel of Jesus Christ.
People give their lives to the Lord.
It is not just this ministry that gets credited for that.
It is you because you gave us the tools to be able to go out and tell people about Jesus Christ.
I want to say thank you, Mondo.
We have monthly donors, monthly supporters.
I want to say thank you to those who continue month by month to support this ministry, to support the show going forward.
And I want to let you know right now that we have no plans to stop preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I've told this to Mondo many times.
I don't care what capacity it's in.
The Lord says, You know what?
Don't be on satellite television anymore.
Go strictly to streaming networks.
Go strictly to the internet.
Go strictly to social media.
I don't care which capacity it's in.
We're going to keep preaching the gospel and continue to be watchmen on the wall and bring guests who bring you real biblical information in the times that we're living in.
Thank you for supporting this network.
