Today, Derek and Sharon Gilbert talk about the spiritual battle for Israel.

We're excited to have you here with us.
You know, we're truly living in historic times, politically, spiritually, prophetically.
And today, we're thrilled to welcome two people you know well, and they're friends to the PTL Television Network, Derek and Sharon Gilbert.
Mondo, they're an incredible man and woman of God.
They were going to be here in person with us, but I believe they're slightly under the weather.
They didn't want to get everyone sick.
I appreciate that because there was a bug going around here for a little bit of time.
But these are amazing men and women of God.
These people are so smart.
Incredibly smart.
They're versatile almost in every subject.
And I appreciate people that can take complicated subjects and bring it down to a level that we can understand.
That's right.
But more than that, Ricky, I think we're living in a time that everything that the Bible talks about, we have to start looking at life that way, meaning a worldview.
That's right.
Because things are getting very confusing.
And a lot of people, I'm noticing a new trend that has been on for 10 years in the church that we want to talk about what's happening without the Bible.
Yes.
And yet we're pastoring churches.
We're leading ministries.
We're writing books and very little Bible in between.
That's a dangerous moment to be in because the subject matters that are happening today, just like you mentioned in the opening statements, they're very prophetic.
That's right.
So what does the Bible have to say about that?
That should be our first response as believers is what does the Bible have to say about that?
That honestly should be our first response.
I love what you always said, say on the show.
It's not my opinion that counts.
Amen.
Right.
I lost my opinion the moment I came to the gospel and the knowledge of the word of God.
So I think if you live by that, that right there can keep you out of trouble.
That's right.
Just say, okay, you know, what does the word of God say about it?
You know, we have two powerful people.
They're prophetic voices.
They do biblical research.
Mondo, I could spend probably half the program talking about how they're researchers.
They're authors.
They're teachers.

Oh, we're doing really well, except for, as you say, a little under the weather.
In fact, I had to go into the house just a few minutes ago because sometimes you have to take some Tylenol.
That's right.

That's right.
Derek, how are you feeling?
Doing all right.
Doing all right.
It's interesting as we're in a season now where I'm dealing with an autoimmune issue, and Sharon has been dealing with these ever since we got married.
So now I have a better appreciation of what she's had to endure for these last 28 years of our marriage.
But interestingly, doctors got me on a new protocol, which has led to me putting on about a pound a day for the last 21 days.
So at this rate, I'll weigh about 560 pounds by next spring.
That's fine.
You see, we'll have to get a bigger set.
Is that what Sharon said?
We'll have to get a bigger set.
That's actually kind of funny.

I love that through pain, trial, tribulation, we can maintain joy.
We have to.
Because, you know, it's the joy of the Lord that's our strength.

You may be feeling under the weather, but you look strong.

I'm feeling under the weather.
I don't want to go and do this.

Mon, do we want to jump right into it?
Let's do it.
Do you have any questions you want to ask him first?
No, I want to go right into it because so much is happening.
Just over the weekend, three major events took place that we're going to talk about today.
You know, Ukraine drone striked what they call Russia's Pearl Harbor.
You know, it's a drone strike.
I want to ask you about this.
We can see it on the screen right there, some military action being taken by Ukraine.
But what do you guys say about this?
What's happening right now?
Because military experts are calling Ukraine's strike on Russia's airbase a turning point.
You know, like I said, it's Russia's Pearl Harbor.
So, Sharon, what prophetic implications could war between nuclear powers like these have?
And how do you interpret this spiritually?
Well, first of all, I think that we're headed into World War III, and I'm not the only one that thinks that.
There are a lot of military experts that think that, prophetically speaking, it's clear that at some point, the entire world is going to be involved in a war where they all agree on something suddenly, and it's to go against Israel.
We are seeing a lot of anti-Semitism rise.
Don't you agree?
Oh, absolutely.
We talked about this in Unraveling Revelation.
In fact, how do we interpret what's going on in the geopolitical world for a theopolitical standpoint?
To throw a phrase, what are the principalities and powers behind the scenes trying to accomplish by fomenting war between nuclear powers?
And we think it's to set the stage for a world leader who will emerge and say, and solve the problem.
And then we'll be, you know, and it will appear to be so miraculous that the world will bow down for the most part and worship this guy as a god.
And, you know, we all get distracted by the daily headlines.
I go to X a lot to see what's going on in the world.
We've got the drone strike.
We now have a bridge in Crimea that Ukraine took down.
Russia has deployed a lot of ships into the Black Sea.
They are getting ready for a major offensive, which may take them into Odessa.
Belarus is still in play.
Poland has a brand new leader.
There are a lot of things taking place there.
But in the meantime, there are other things going on to build the new world order that will take over when this leader arises and says, Hold on, I've got the answers.
And we just, I feel like I'm so late to the party, but there is an entity that we didn't realize was a big player called the BIS, the Bank of International Settlements.
Settlements.
It started right after World War I.
Now, we're seeing a repeat of the lead up to World War I. Is that a coincidence?
No, it is not.
The fallen realm repeat what they do.
They try it again.
We'll do it this time.
They are trying to start the next war.
And this unusual and very secretive and sovereign entity, which is the collection of all of the central banks of the world, pretty much were heavily involved in getting Germany ready for World War II.
Four Horsemen's Manipulation 00:06:48
Yeah, and allowing bankers in the West, the UK and the United States, who were heavily invested in Germany in the 1930s, from losing their assets.
And this is even the fulfillment of prophecy as we read about the writer on the black horse.
You know, prices for the rest of us will go into hyperinflation, but hurt not the oil and the wine.
The bankers, they'll be fine.
And it's because the Bank of International Settlements and central banks around the world are operating outside the control of governments.
But again, more importantly, they're operating at the behest of one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the rider on the black horse who is manipulating things to impoverish the rest of us, again, setting the stage for a false savior, a false Messiah, an anti-Christ who will emerge with the answer to all of our problems.
Yeah.
You know, you made a phrase, you said a phrase there.
You said the rider of the black horse is manipulating things.
Does that mean you believe that the four horsemen of the apocalypse are out of the barn writing right now?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Derek and I have been saying that they probably started writing in the first century.
It's just that they go in sort of peaks and troughs.
They are big time, big war, lots of economic disasters, crops fail, people move, there are diseases, and then they pull back.
Yeah.
And then they come back again.
We see in Revelation chapters four and five, four, five, and six, as John is taken up into heaven and he sees the Lamb appear next to the Father and begin opening the seals.
We know from the book of Acts that when Stephen was being stoned, he looked up and he saw the Son of Man at the right hand of the Father.
We know that in other of Paul's epistles, for example, in Ephesians, he writes about Jesus being at the right hand of the Father.
So that was in the first century.
And I know that for a lot of dispensationalists, the standard belief is that the four horsemen don't begin to ride until the beginning of that seven-year period called the Great Tribulation.
But if Jesus was already at the right hand of the Father in the first century, right after he was called up into heaven, 40 days after his resurrection, why then would 2,000 years later we still be saying no one on, you know, in heaven, on earth, or under the earth is worthy to open the seals?
He was there, according to the witness of the apostles in the first century.
So yes, those four horsemen have been out riding.
In fact, we identified them by name in our book, Giants, Gods, and Dragons.

Another thing I really want to talk about is a Colorado attack on a Jewish community.
In Boulder, Colorado, a shocking attack at a pro-Israel rally left 12 people injured.
Authorities say that the subject was shouting, Free Palestine, and they used incendiary weapons and is being charged with federal hate crimes.
Derek, what are your thoughts on the growing hostility towards the Jewish people?
And how does this connect spiritually?
Well, this has been ongoing since really the first century.
Well, you go back to the time of Moses, and there's been a concerted effort by the principalities and powers behind the scenes to try to eliminate the people that God called out and who now occupy the land, which was a fulfillment of prophecy in 1948 that God has decreed as his home forever, Zion, for I have desired it.
Psalm 132, verse 13.
But since October 7th of 2023, there's been this growing anti-Semitism, not just amongst Islamists like the alleged attacker in Colorado, but even by professing Christians who don't understand Bible prophecy or look at the world through, whether they realize it or not, this Marxist lens that there are oppressors and the oppressed.
And since Israel has prospered because God has blessed them and the Arabs, their neighbors, are not as prosperous, and it's predominantly because of their governments, then Israel, the Israelis, must be the oppressors, and so therefore they are bad.
And there are a lot of Christians who are buying into this, sadly.
So this is, again, just the, we're watching in the natural realm, the manifestation of this spiritual war that's been ongoing for literally millennia.
In fact, this is going to be the focus of my next book, The War of the Watchers, this whole war for Israel and how the Jewish people are central to it.
I want to ask a question.
I might put you guys in the hot seat, but you know, we have something running rampant in the United States of America primarily right now.
I know other countries, there's a lot of ministers preaching it, but it is the replacement theology that the church is now the replacer of Israel.
Israel actually holds no part in that.
Really, a lot of people are preaching the modern-day Israel is evil.
I want to ask you guys your opinion on that because there's ministers from their pulpits preaching.
They're talking about the church.
They're not talking about the Jewish people and that we shouldn't support the Jewish people currently in the state of Israel.
Well, I think that's sad because it ignores a lot of scripture that says that Israel generally, the house of Judah, meaning the Jews particularly and the house of David specifically, will be in Jerusalem when Messiah returns.
Now, we're Japhethites.
We are not Semites.
We are not descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
So, for us to claim that, no, no, we have taken the place of Israel in the prophecies of, say, Zechariah 12, Zechariah 14, Zechariah 12, when the house of David, when the house of Judah in Jerusalem will look on me, God says, on him whom they have pierced and mourn.
I don't see how you get around that and try to interpret that as being us, the Christian church.
Paul was very clear in Romans that we are grafted in and that God has not abandoned the people whom he foreknew.
Exactly.
And there are 12 tribes who are marked.
They are protected by this symbol of their connection to the Creator.
I'm not in one of those tribes.
You're not in one of those tribes.
Exactly.
Someone who says that, you know, I believe that the church, which tribe are you?
Can you tell me?
Because it's pretty clear that you're not.

Yeah.
No, I think it's a misapplication of scripture.
Han Lindsey wrote about this 30 years ago, the danger of replacement theology and the book called The Road to Holocaust, because that's ultimately where it leads.
Because if you believe that Israel has no role to play in the end times, then they are just one more obstacle to the kingdom of God and they should just be eliminated.

Baptism in Galilee 00:11:48

You know, I think back at the covenant, Derek, that God made with Abraham.
Let's talk about that because Abraham had a special connection and God seemed to favor Abraham on a special way.
But why is Israel and the covenant so spiritual to where it connects to where we are today?
Well, to answer that question specifically, the answer is, you know, honestly, we don't know.
God chose Israel for his own reasons.
I mentioned Psalm 132 earlier, Psalm 132, 13 and 14.
For the Lord has chosen Zion.
He has desired it for his dwelling place.
This is my resting place forever.
Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
Now, why did he choose?
It's, yeah, as Carl Gallops would say, it's ground zero in this long supernatural war.
Why did he pick Israel?
We don't know.
But as, you know, he asked Job, where were you when I laid the foundations of the universe?
So God chose it?
Okay, he's God.
He can choose wherever he wants.
I think that Eden is there.
We argued in our book, Giants, Gods, and Dragons, that Jerusalem is the site of Eden.
And Carl Gallops, in fact, reached the same conclusion in his book, Gods of Ground Zero.
We came at it from different directions, but reached the same conclusion.
So it makes sense because when he returns, he returns to Jerusalem and there will be a new Jerusalem from which he will reign.
So he brought Abraham at that point still Avram and showed him the land and made the covenant and said, this is where your descendants will dwell.
Interestingly, in that there's an interesting aspect to Genesis 15 where he takes Avram outside and said, look at the stars, look toward heaven and number the stars if you are able to number them.
Then God said to Avram, so shall your offspring be.
And we interpret this as meaning as numerous as the stars, but we need to remember that in the Old Testament, stars represent the heavenly host, angels.
In other words, he was also telling Abraham that his descendants would someday be part of that divine council once again, reunited with the holy family like the prodigal son being welcomed home.
There's two aspects to that promise.
You know, it bookends to the temptation in the garden where he says, you shall be as God.
And it was the promise not only that you'll be upgraded, but you'll also be part of the council.
Adam would have been part of the council anyway.
Right, right.
And so this is the fulfillment, the true fulfillment of that fake promise.
Absolutely.
Sherry, I want to ask you this question.
How does Israel's modern battle mirror the ancient spiritual war of Canaan?
We talk about this, I believe, in your guys' new book, The Gates of Hell.
But let's talk about that.
We have learned that where Jesus did what he did is just as important as what he did.
And that's why we make the case in the gates of hell that Jesus' baptismal site was not where the United Nations says it is, down near Jericho, but actually north of the Sea of Galilee, because the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights, which is the ancient kingdom of Bashan, was ground zero.
Everybody in the ancient world knew that was land that was dedicated to the Rephaim, the spirits of the giants who were destroyed long ago, the mighty men who were of old, the men of Renown.
Shadow of death.
And we believe that the valley the Jordan River runs through between Mount Hermon on Israel's northern border and the Sea of Galilee is literally the valley of the shadow of death.
So Jesus based his ministry there at Capernaum, right where the Jordan enters the Sea of Galilee.
He was baptized in the Jordan north of the Sea of Galilee.
And it was essentially a declaration of war on these demonic spirits that were believed to inhabit that area.
There are so many monuments, these megalithic structures in the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights that Israeli archaeologists say it's basically a giant necropolis.
This is an area that was literally believed to be the entrance to the Canaanite hell.
And that's where Jesus was baptized.
That's where he went into the wilderness.
And then, of course, he was taken up a very high mountain by Satan and shown all the kingdoms of the world.
If you just bow the knee to me, I'll give them all to you.
And that could only have been Mount Hermon.
So that area north of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus based his ministry, where he was baptized, where he declared his divinity at the base of Mount Hermon, Caesarea Philippi.
It's all enemy territory.
And again, that's the location that David called in his psalm the valley of the shadow of death.
Jesus was declaring war on the fallen realm.
Really, what you're talking about, Derek, you have to go back to the word and put it into context and realize this is not just some happy Bible story.
This is significant to how we live our lives, why our faith is in Christ so strong.
But the places, I don't think God ever made a mistake on why he named locations and why he decided certain places.
Exactly like you mentioned earlier, why did he choose Israel?
Only God knows why he chose Israel, why he chose the locations.
And I want to tell you something.
When you start going back to the word, I was just thinking about, as you were talking, when was the last time you watching right now read the Bible from cover to cover?
I'm not talking about the Bible and other people's commentaries.
I'm just talking about when did you start reading the Bible from Genesis all the way to Revelation and get a Holy Spirit interpretation of the word?
Derek, I want to ask you this because I think it's very important to the conversation that we're having.
How crucial is it for us to understand the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the location, of course, but understanding that he was the only Savior that can save humanity from not only the pits of hell, but the torment that we live every single day with.
Can you talk about that as we get ready to wrap up?
Resurrection is what all of this is about.
You read 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and Paul makes it very clear.
Here's the gospel by which we're saved.
Here's how you can know that Jesus was literally resurrected.
And you need to understand that and accept it as historic fact because all of this is about who is resurrected at the last trump.
And we will be called up at the last trump, the blink of an eye, into incorruptible bodies because we can't inherit the kingdom.
And when you read the New Testament, you see that there's all, there's a lot of inheritance language or sonship or kinship language.
We as sons and daughters of the Father inherit the kingdom, but we can't do it in these corruptible bodies with, you know, having to walk around with a cane and take Tylenol to keep the pain at bay.
That will all be gone, but that is all part of resurrection.
And frankly, we think that this is woven all through the Bible.
When Ezekiel writes in chapter 39 of his 39-11, Ezekiel 39, 11, the end of the war of Gog and Magog, referring to blocking the travelers.
Travelers is a term the Canaanites used for the spirits of the Rephaim, demons, the spirits of those giants destroyed in the flood.
What does it mean to block the travelers?
It means when we're resurrected, they're still dead.
They're still dead.
That's what this whole war is about.
And of course, it happens when Jesus returns from the very, at the very place where he was called up, the Mount of Olives, and then he walks through that eastern gate onto the Temple Mount to reclaim the land where he decreed his temple.
And you know, the Lord foreshadowed that by being baptized right there at a cultic site in the fallen realm territory, saying to them, because baptism is a picture of resurrection.
So every time a believer is baptized, it's saying to the fallen realm, we got another one and you're still dead.
Amen.
You know, if somebody's watching today and they haven't made the commitment to give their life to Jesus Christ, what would you say to them today?
Sharon, I'll start with you because I think this is so important that as we see the dark times getting darker, as we see the end approaching, as we see what was really the final boarding call, that doesn't mean all hope is being lost.
Really, it means that our hope is about to come back in his full glory.
Sharon, I want to hear from you on this.
Hallelujah.
Well, my background is in science, of course, and science is trying to tell our generations, the young people particularly, that we will give you eternal life.
That's a lie.
Eternal life is a real deal.
You are going to live eternally someplace.
Wouldn't you rather live eternally in the place that was designed for you as part of the Lord's divine counsel in a wonderful area that we call heaven, but it's so much more than that.
Wouldn't you want to inherit that?
Well, you know what?
That gift is waiting for you.
It was provided when the Lord himself died.
It's explained so beautifully by Paul.
Yeah, in 1 Corinthians 15, I love this chapter, beginning at verse 3.
I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.
That's the gospel message right there.
It's very simple, but it's very profound.
And then he goes on to explain how, if you're like me and you needed the evidence, he said, okay, first witnessed by Peter, then by James, then by the 12, then by 500, most of whom are still alive.
So if you don't believe me, church at Corinth, send witnesses, send messengers to Jerusalem and ask around, because there are eyewitnesses who will testify to the risen Christ.
And don't think that you have to clean yourself up just as you are.
That's how he died for you, just as you are, because the Bible says the most perfect person on this earth, in our opinion, is still a sinner.
You need Jesus, and you don't have anything promised to you other than this moment in time.
You don't know when your last breath is going to be.
Trust in Jesus today.
