Eagerly Expecting God's Application
00:05:10
|
|
| Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Today, we are bringing news, prophetic insight, and end time awareness so that you can be prepared. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo de la Vega. | |
| And now, here is your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Come on, you're watching the PTL Television Network. | |
| It's exciting you have tuned in with us today. | |
| Mondo, we have an exciting program planned today. | |
| I don't even think we have a format. | |
| I do. | |
| I'm always prepared. | |
| Oh, I don't have one. | |
| I don't have one. | |
| I don't know about you. | |
| So today, I want you to open up your Bibles. | |
| We'll be reading out of Romans, Mondo. | |
| Wonderful book. | |
| Somebody asked me one time, there was a new believer. | |
| They had just given their life to the Lord. | |
| It was a soldier that was under me in the army, and I'd been talking about Jesus for a while. | |
| And so the conversation came up and said, hey, man, do you want to give your life to Jesus? | |
| And he said no initially. | |
| And a couple months later, he came back and said, you know, I think I'm ready to give my life to the Lord. | |
| So he gave his life to the Lord. | |
| It's a beautiful moment. | |
| I said, do you have a Bible? | |
| And he says, nope, my parents weren't Christians. | |
| We never didn't go to church. | |
| There's no Bibles in my home. | |
| I said, well, give me your address. | |
| I'll send you a Bible. | |
| So I went and I dog-eared Romans and I said, you know, read this first. | |
| Because I believe it's really, you know, it's a critical part of who we are as believers. | |
| I don't even remember. | |
| Troy Brewer was on the show with us. | |
| Troy Brewer. | |
| And we were talking about that. | |
| And I asked him, I said, you know, if you were going to tell a new convert the first, you know, book of the Bible to read, which one would you pick? | |
| And I remember he picked one of the epistles. | |
| It was a nice one. | |
| And I said, oh, I told my friend Romans. | |
| You know, he goes, oh, that's brutal. | |
| You know, what a crazy book to start with. | |
| And I was like, you know what? | |
| He's a tough guy. | |
| He'll figure it out. | |
| So, hey, Romans chapter, Romans chapter 8. | |
| It says right here, verse 18. | |
| For I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. | |
| For the creation eagerly awaits with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed. | |
| For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of one, him who subjected it. | |
| In the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of decay into the glorious freedom of God's children. | |
| For we know this that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now. | |
| That seems to be the common theme, huh, Mondo, labor pains. | |
| Not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the first fruits, we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. | |
| Now, in this hope, we were saved, but that hope is seen is not hope because the one who hopes for what he sees. | |
| Now, if we have hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience. | |
| And it goes on to continue to say, now, in this same way, the spirit helps us in our weakness. | |
| And praise God that he does, Mondo, because I don't know about you, and I don't know about you here in the audience or you at home, but there are moments in this life where the burdens of stress, financial responsibility, emotional tolls, a family member, all this stuff can weigh on you. | |
| And it's nice to know that we have an intercessor praying for us, but we also have a helpmate that was sent to us called the Holy Spirit here with us. | |
| I think that if we don't rely on that, we're dead in the water. | |
| It's true. | |
| We need to rely on it. | |
| It feels like the pressure is intensifying in ways that we don't understand. | |
| I'm talking about Christians that have been walking with the Lord 10, 20, 30 years, and it seems like the pressure is getting tighter and tighter and hotter and hotter. | |
| But at the same time, we have codepended on information and not on the application of what the Holy Spirit gives us. | |
| And I think that's what changes dramatically your walk with the Lord is once you start applying the word, now we can experience fully the power of the Holy Spirit. | |
| That's right. | |
| It changes everything. | |
| The application of the word is what is key. | |
| You can read the Bible all day long. | |
| You can have as much scripture as you want memorized, but Mondo, if you never apply it, what good is it? | |
| Listen, we have become drunken on information and starving for application. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| Application is where revelation comes through and comes from. | |
| And once you understand the revelation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the application becomes something of a norm where you expect miracles. | |
| You expect God to show up for you. | |
| You expect God to give you dreams and visions. | |
| And all of a sudden, you get visitations from angels and the Holy Spirit visits you because it's part of the application once you make that connection with heaven. | |
| That's right. | |
| It changes everything. | |
| And as we're watching the world in turmoil, and I'm talking to a lot of prophetic experts or prophecy experts, and this is what they're saying. | |
| Bible prophecy experts are sounding the alarm. | |
| The signs we've studied for years are now unfolding before our eyes. | |
|
Wars and Rumors of Wars
00:07:10
|
|
| From global unrest to rising deception, everything the scripture has warned us about is accelerating. | |
| That's right. | |
| Are you seeing it? | |
| Yes. | |
| What we once taught as future prophecy is now front page news. | |
| It is absolutely front page. | |
| We see Matthew 24 laid out right before our eyes, wars and rumors of wars. | |
| Mondo, there's a war going on right now in the Middle East. | |
| There's also wars going on around Ukraine and Russia. | |
| It seems to be that entire region, I'm not talking about a specific country or a specific continent, but that entire region, Mondo, seems to be at war and it seems to also be imploding. | |
| Countries that were once peaceful with one another are now waging war against each other. | |
| This is the latest headline from the Economics Collapse blog with Michael Snyder. | |
| A few hours ago, he put this out. | |
| NATO is on the verge of a full-blown war with Russia and firing long-range missiles deep into Russia territory. | |
| That isn't going to lead to peace. | |
| We're watching nations come against each other like never before, all happening at the same time. | |
| That is the convergence of what Brother Joseph C said a few shows ago, that the suddenlies are going to begin to take place. | |
| And suddenly, wars are starting to break out. | |
| Suddenly, Russia has turned the page on betraying the negotiations that they had between the president of the United States and Russia to try to die down the war and close this war down. | |
| All of a sudden, Russia took a different stance. | |
| And we watch hours after that, Russia send missiles destroying major facilities in Ukraine. | |
| We are seeing that. | |
| And Mondo, we're seeing Matthew 24. | |
| We're seeing Luke 21. | |
| We're seeing Mark 13 play out before our eyes. | |
| People say, well, how do you know these things are going to happen? | |
| Well, we've been given the blueprints, the word of God. | |
| We've been told that these things must take place. | |
| But Russia is a big player. | |
| As you said, they're now launching long-range missiles. | |
| They're destroying things that are necessary to Ukraine to be able to defend themselves. | |
| Mondo, there's other things happening. | |
| I think the Russian, a former Russian president is calling out even President Trump talking about World War III. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| Listen, we are knocking at the door of World War III right now. | |
| And when you throw in Russia, you have to always mix in China. | |
| That's right. | |
| And when you throw in China, you have to mix in Syria. | |
| And when you throw in Syria, you have to bring in Turkey. | |
| And North Korea. | |
| And North Korea. | |
| I mean, the end game doesn't look like it's anywhere near what we're talking about. | |
| But we are knocking at the door of a World War III that can change the world forever. | |
| Economically, physically, geopolitics. | |
| I mean, when you start looking at this at the front page of what we're watching, we're on standby watching China getting ready to invade Taiwan. | |
| That is going to bring such disruption into where we are today because he who controls the data will control the world. | |
| That's right. | |
| Russia is in a different place right now trying to regain territory from Ukraine while China is trying to figure out the right timing to invade Taiwan. | |
| But then you got this proxy wars between India and Pakistan that thank God it didn't accelerate to what many experts believe was going to turn a page into bringing us into the forefront of World War III. | |
| You know, there's a common phrase that whatever it was that ended the last world war will begin the next world war. | |
| We obviously know there were nuclear weapons that ended the last world war. | |
| So people are afraid that is what will trigger and begin the next world war. | |
| You know, as the world is in turmoil, Mondo, as we see there's wars, there are rumors of wars, there's nations fighting against each other, whether it's directly or against proxy. | |
| We have an issue here in the United States of America as well as, you know, first world countries, powerful countries, where experts are pointing to the concerning pattern of online backing for murder suspects who allegedly target victims for political reasons, Mondo. | |
| We saw a very prominent man who ran a very large three-letter agency put something not even by accident on his Instagram page where essentially, you know, I didn't know what it meant. | |
| I looked it up and all the comments are saying the cryptic message behind it was somebody needs to go and kill President Trump. | |
| Wow. | |
| Listen, let me give you this headline. | |
| Is AI going to kill us? | |
| One of the pioneers in the field has warned that everyone will die if AI is not shut down. | |
| It's crazy. | |
| You know, they're building a giant facility and I believe it's Abilene, Texas, massive super facility to be able to do quantum computing and be able to have these AI facilities go essentially nationwide and globally at some point. | |
| You know, the creators of AI, the ones with a conscience still, I believe, once they got to a certain threshold, Mondo, they actually turned it off or scaled it back. | |
| They realized, ah, this is advancing too fast at its own pace. | |
| Especially when you have young men and young women that are very smart and they can tap into AI without being monitored and being able to send crypto messages. | |
| And that is going to rise what they call long wolves trying to prove a point through technology and inciting death threats, inciting disruptions using cyber warfare, where they can paralyze cities, they can paralyze hospitals, they can paralyze nations, they can paralyze the way we do everyday business. | |
| And I want to tell you something, no one is monitoring this. | |
| The Pentagon gets over a thousand cyber warfare attacks every single day. | |
| And if the Pentagon is able to track as many as 1,000, what about the ones that they're not able to monitor? | |
| That's right. | |
| Now you are in a place where you find yourself wondering, what is the crypto message? | |
| Now, by the way, the former FBI agent, Comey, sent that crypto message on the internet, right? | |
| That's the one you're talking about. | |
| But what that does is that incites violence wanting to get rid of a president of the United States through gaining momentum using social media. | |
| But again, who are the ones controlling this? | |
| If you put up a scripture and you talk about the gospel on social media, the percentage of that getting flagged is pretty high. | |
| But yet you can send a crypto message through social media and no one says anything about it. | |
| That's right. | |
| I want you guys to watch this video. | |
| They're talking about the social media experts saying that support for killers could become normalized. | |
| Wow. | |
| And so, when you've got this larger and larger portion of the population that's willing to engage that, that's willing to sanction that sort of behavior, you become very much ripe for a sort of authoritarian takeover, the kind that can start to lead to mass atrocities. | |
|
Manipulation And Radicalization
00:06:02
|
|
| And it's not an uncommon thing in the grand scheme of history. | |
| And we're really now seeing the groundwork for that sort of stuff laid out. | |
| Again, largely thanks to social media's influence. | |
| I can definitely at least say that from a long-term perspective, this is very destructive sort of behavior to society. | |
| For the vulnerable, it gives them something to emulate. | |
| It gives them, you know, maybe an outlet to think, hey, this is the sort of thing that I can do. | |
| And I can be a part of that. | |
| So it increases the chances of radicalization of the individual. | |
| Then, from a bigger societal perspective, that's where we really see the destructive influence on this of the youth. | |
| When you're young, you're developing, you know, your kind of sense of the world. | |
| You're coming to figure out when you come of age what's acceptable, what's not. | |
| That's when norms are being developed, your values take hold. | |
| And so, because of that, when you see these far more fringe-type positions of people supporting violence, murder, even, that becomes one of those things that then you think is normalized, and you spend the rest of your life with that kind of an outlook to where now you no longer say, you know, the violent resolution of our differences is off the wall. | |
| We can't do that. | |
| Now it's something you think, well, maybe I can do that. | |
| And that's something I'm willing to support. | |
| Wow. | |
| You know, as I look at this headline, let me read it to you inside of this headline that I just mentioned a few moments ago. | |
| So what is going to happen when we lose control of such entities? | |
| Talking about artificial intelligence. | |
| Some artificial intelligence models are already taking the initiative to teach themselves new languages. | |
| And others have learned to lie and manipulate humans for their own advantage. | |
| Needless to say, lying is a hostile act. | |
| If we have already created entities that are willing to lie to us, how long would it be before they are capable of taking actions that are even more harmful to us? | |
| The power of language through artificial intelligence creates a lie inside of a weak mind, a mind that the heart is filled with deception and lie and wanting to get vengeance. | |
| Once you match that with artificial intelligence, that artificial intelligence begins to create a language and a pattern where it can influence the heart and the mind of someone that is evil or someone that is wanting to do violence towards another person, let alone another nation. | |
| Understanding that the future is now, where we are going is where we are right now. | |
| And the acceleration and the development of artificial intelligence is changing by the day. | |
| It's changing our work habits. | |
| It's changing our family habits. | |
| It's changing the way we spend money. | |
| It's changing the way nations are operating today. | |
| Because if they can infiltrate with the language of lie, now you got millions of people believing in this lie, which the Bible calls in Matthew 24, the age of deception. | |
| The age of deception. | |
| Do you think that we are in the age of deception or we are going towards the age of deception? | |
| We have already entered into the day of deception. | |
| Why? | |
| Because when you look at some of the imagery in the videos that are being put out, there was a video that was put out by artificial intelligence that someone created that a famous singer became a Christian and you cannot tell the difference if it's real or not. | |
| Even the artist himself questioned, was that me really saying that? | |
| Wow. | |
| So understanding that is not what's coming. | |
| It's what's already here being developed. | |
| You said something powerful that a lot of people missed just a few moments ago. | |
| We are in the age of generative artificial intelligence. | |
| We are moving one step closer. | |
| By the end of this year, we will be introduced to quantum computing, meaning that it's going to change the facet in everything about life once you add the quantum computing, meaning it's going to think faster, more intelligent than generative algorithms. | |
| That's right. | |
| That means that it's going to change the way we're going to do life today, but in the hands of someone that is evil, that's the biggest question that the experts are having. | |
| You realize that these aren't just like the size of a warehouse. | |
| I mean, these are square miles upon square miles. | |
| Cities. | |
| Cities, where they are actually saying, in order to power these things properly, we're going to need nuclear reactors. | |
| We're going to need nuclear power to be able to power these things. | |
| Mondo, that tells you right then and there how much power that they assume these machines are going to need. | |
| When you have America investing over $500 billion on something that is not being monitored, on something that no one knows the future of, yet you have the experts and the pioneers and the creators of artificial intelligence warning us that what we're doing is bad. | |
| What we're doing is we're sending artificial intelligence unprepared, untested into the public and not understanding the meaning behind it. | |
| What am I trying to tell you? | |
| That if you send, it's like me sending my son to go drive my car without even knowing how to drive my car, but trusting that he's going to drive my car and not get in a crash. | |
| That is ludicrous to think that sending my son unprepared to drive my car into the public is going to have great results. | |
|
Food Lines in California
00:10:44
|
|
| That is the same thing that we're doing with artificial intelligence is that we're putting it in the middle of the public square, thinking that it's going to do good when we're not even ready to understand how to even monitor in this. | |
| Now, understand this. | |
| When you put artificial intelligence in the hands of the public and the public still doesn't know how to operate these systems, what do you think the results are going to be? | |
| That's the biggest question. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, while this is all happening, we have in America, a powerful, strong first world nation. | |
| Wanda, we still have people who are food insecure in these moments. | |
| I want you guys to watch this right now. | |
| It's a video talking about a county in California. | |
| It's a wealthy county, but they're dealing with food insecurity. | |
| Watch this. | |
| All right, new numbers show one of California's most affluent communities is also one of the most in need. | |
| During the month of April alone, people visited food pantries in Orange County more than half a million times. | |
| Once a month outside of California III Academy in Orange, families start waiting in line while volunteers unload. | |
| Just move this stuff over there. | |
| And set up fresh food, fruits, and produce. | |
| What looks like a farmer's market is actually a mobile food pantry. | |
| Angelica Gallego says her husband manages a subway sandwich shop, but she says his salary alone is not enough to afford the basics. | |
| And right now, everything's elevated, so I think we're suffering a little bit. | |
| Gallegos' family is one of a growing number of families in Orange County, where in 2023, according to nonprofit Feeding America, one in nine people is food insecure, up from one in 10 people the previous year. | |
| The average person is coming to a pantry three and a half times a month. | |
| The food supplied to nearly 400 distribution sites across the county every day comes from here, Second Harvest Food Bank's distribution center in Irvine. | |
| CEO Claudia Keller says the need is in the numbers. | |
| In a county of 3.2 million people, half a million times, people felt the need to access the emergency food system. | |
| They are beginning to approach COVID-era numbers. | |
| Second Harvest provides 40 million pounds of food every year, but Keller says it's not just about quantity. | |
| It's probably a misconception, right? | |
| That it's just, you know, canned goods. | |
| Those by themselves do not make a diet. | |
| We need the fresh. | |
| We need the protein. | |
| So not only produce, but protein, milk. | |
| Something that you're not seeing here in the freezer section is eggs. | |
| Second Harvest and all the food banks saw egg prices increase just like the rest of us. | |
| We're not buying eggs right now. | |
| We quite simply can't afford it. | |
| Second Harvest does not yet know how potential federal funding cuts may impact their bottom line. | |
| It also relies on the community to serve the community. | |
| We are trying to work with various scenarios where our level of food remains constant because that is our promise and our mission to the community. | |
| Mothers like Iego say they are grateful. | |
| Whichever they give us is helpful. | |
| Food for a family meal that they may go without. | |
| This is one of the most affluent counties in California dealing with food insecurity. | |
| When you read this headline, Walmart and Target are really jacking up their prices. | |
| Yes, those are the same. | |
| And I don't know if you've been to the store at Walmart lately or Target lately, but I want you to know something that the prices, the prices of food have gone up tremendously. | |
| Yes. | |
| And one of the reasons why we have urged you to get prepared is because we knew this day was coming. | |
| That's right. | |
| We knew that this season to get prepared was going to come faster than any of us expected. | |
| Yet many of you doubted. | |
| Many of you made fun of us. | |
| Many of you, you know, didn't want to take the advantage to be able to get ready and be prepared and have food on stock to be able to understand that when this day was here and it arrived, that you were not going to get caught on the wear. | |
| Yes. | |
| The responsibility that we have to take care of our family, take care of our church, take care of our community is getting shorter and shorter, Ricky. | |
| And I'm afraid that people, if we don't wake up, we're going to find ourselves standing in line hoping that we get a bag of food. | |
| That's right. | |
| We're going to see church people in those lines. | |
| We're going to see non-believers in those lines. | |
| There's going to be all types of colors, creed, ethnicity, everything is going to be standing in those lines, praying that they could have had time to prepare. | |
| But Monda, we have the time to prepare right now. | |
| That's why I believe the church needs to be the one with the response, the one with the answers. | |
| And we need to be the ones who can be the hands and heart of Jesus whenever something like this happens. | |
| Monda, we've paired with a company of really Holy Spirit-inspired men out of Oklahoma. | |
| They're called Grid Down Chowdown. | |
| They are part of the reason we get to continue to broadcast the gospel of Jesus Christ, but also they are helping the church prepare. | |
| Watch this video. | |
| Across America, our farmers are facing unprecedented challenges. | |
| Droughts, rising costs, and market uncertainties have led to the lowest cattle inventory in over six decades. | |
| And now America is running low on cows. | |
| That's according to the Department of Agriculture. | |
| My prediction is there'll be a cattle shortage. | |

| Stand on faith to know that God is going to provide every need that you're going to be facing, but also be smart today. | |
| Call us, 1-888-988-1588. | |
| You know, Mondo, you recently went to Washington, D.C. You spoke to thousands of businessmen and women, church people. | |
| How many of them, would you say, based off of maybe a rough percentage, would say that how many of them were prepared, do you think? | |
| 5%. | |
| And there was about 5,000 people there. | |
| Only 5% of 5,000 people were knowledgeable about preparing. | |
| The others, 95%, they had no idea that there was something like this available. | |
| These are the leaders of a lot of great businesses in America, but no one is preparing because they think that in America, it's never going to happen. | |
| That's right. | |
| It'll never happen here. | |
| That is the mantra we hear. | |
| Friends, it's not the White House that's going to save you. | |
| It's the Lighthouse. | |
| It's the church. | |
| That's why we must be the hands and heart of Jesus. | |
| We must be going out there and doing the things that we are mandated to do. | |
| It's important that we feed those who need food, that we clothe those who need clothing, that we take care of the widow, Mondo, that we visit those in prison, a prison ministry. | |
| I think it's wonderful. | |
| We know a couple of partnership ministries that we are connected with, and they go and visit those in prison. | |
| And what a wonderful ministry. | |
| Because if it was your son or your daughter, your grandson or your daughter, your granddaughter, you would hope that somebody would go visit them and tell them the gospel of Jesus Christ, the hope of their salvation. | |
| I believe it's why we need to continue to press forward. | |
| If you're in a local church, see how you can continue to serve in that local church. | |
| Make sure that the church is able to help the community around them. | |
| You know, we get community requests here into our church and we do our best to go out and reach back out, whether it's someone needs help moving things or someone needs help, you know, with appointments, things like that. | |
| We try to help as much as we can. | |
| Obviously, one person, two people can't do it also. | |
| But if we all did our part within the body to take care of what we call our brothers and sisters, Mondo, the church would look vastly different. | |
| Oh, man, the church is the key. | |
| I would build my church and the gates of hell are not going to prevail. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| The key is still the church, the gathering of the church, going into Bible study, learning about the word, applying the word, and then taking that back into the streets and become soul winners. | |
| The Bible says this, he that winneth the souls is wise. | |
| That's right. | |
| Wise. | |
| This is the season to win souls, feed them, visit them, clothe them, but also share the gospel of Jesus Christ. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, this is a part of the gospel of Jesus Christ right here. | |
| Romans chapter 8, we started the show reading this. | |
| Verse 37 says this, Mondo, know in all of these things that we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. | |
| For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord. | |
| Come on, Monto. | |
| What do you think about that? | |
| Nothing can separate us. | |
| That's why I love the gospel. | |
| Amen. | |
| When you are discouraged, you read the word and it changes your life. | |
| Amen. | |
| It will change your life. | |
| If you need someone to pray that salvation pray with you, call our number. | |

| And don't let anybody convince you otherwise. | |
| Whether you're going to your home or whether you're going to work right now, whether you're sitting on your couch drinking a cup of tea, friends, don't let anybody tell you that God doesn't love you because God does love you. | |
| He really does. | |
| Bye-bye for today. | |
| Thank you. | |
| We'll be back. | |
| Thanks, brother. | |
| Thank you. | |
| We want to thank you for your prayers and support. | |
| We would not be able to be here without you. | |
