Intersection of Numbers and Faith
00:03:01
|
|
| Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Today, Pastor Troy Brewer tells us how the intersection of numbers and spiritual warfare should inspire action and faith. | |
| And now, here is your host, Reverend Mondo de la Vega. | |
| Hey, everybody, welcome to another episode of the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| I'm here with my special guest, author, pastor, the guy that knows all the numbers. | |
| Troy Brewer, welcome to the program. | |
| Thank you so much. | |
| It is so good to see you. | |
| We're hanging out with some friends. | |
| Yeah. | |
| I love friends. | |
| Don't you love friends? | |
| You know, I told you this a few shows ago, that Proverbs 7, 17 is one of my favorites because a friend loveth at all times. | |
| That's the King James Version from a Spanish perspective. | |
| Yep, that's good. | |
| I like it. | |
| A friend loveth at all times and a brother is born for adversity. | |
| Yes, sir. | |
| You are that type of friend, Troy Brewer. | |
| Which one? | |
| Well, let's see. | |
| Do I owe you money? | |
| Do I owe you money? | |
| You know what? | |
| I love that verse. | |
| I also love the numbers. | |
| It's a 17, 17 scripture. | |
| And so 17 is a number in the word of God that represents him that overcomes. | |
| Wow. | |
| So there are 17 promises in the book of Revelation for him that overcomes. | |
| Wow. | |
| So remember that. | |
| You are an overcomer today. | |
| Listen, welcome to the program. | |
| We're going to have fun at the beginning of the show. | |
| I believe that God loves laughter. | |
| Yeah, he does. | |
| God loves friends. | |
| And we're among friends. | |
| And I hope you're laughing. | |
| Are you mad? | |
| No, they're not mad. | |
| Are you mad? | |
| No, you're not mad. | |
| But I wanted to say hello to a few people because I believe that God has a word for you. | |
| God has a word for this people. | |
| And God speaks through numbers. | |
| Let me ask you this, Troy Brewer, because I believe that God gave you favor as you're developing and learning. | |
| And thank you for your dedication, by the way, because you have impacted not only Christianity, you're impacted everything that you do, you impact. | |
| When it comes to writing books, you're impacting the publishing company. | |
| When you're singing, you're impacting the music industry. | |
| What is it that you don't do good? | |
| I can draw a really good stick, man. | |
| You left that out. | |
| You know, what's real is I don't, I don't really feel like I do anything really well. | |
| I just feel like it's a joy to do those things. | |
| You're so humble. | |
| Well, I'm not being humble. | |
| I'm being real. | |
| I mean, I get a lot of credit that I don't deserve, and I'm a part of a lot of things that are really successful. | |
| But again, you see the glory, but you don't know the story. | |
| You know, God didn't trust me with all this in my 20s or 30s or 40s. | |
| He waited until I was 50 before I ever saw any fruit. | |
|
Favor Of The Lord
00:13:51
|
|
| And, you know, we were a church of less than 100 people for 18 years. | |
| Wow. | |
| Wow. | |
| You know, and like, wow. | |
| And we were rescuing kids all over the world. | |
| Leanna and I, we mortgaged our house seven times, you know, to pay for our homes. | |
| And my kids grew up a lot of time without even the electricity on. | |
| And it didn't look like I was good at a single thing. | |
| And then, you know what? | |
| The Lord just comes in and he just redeems things and he just makes it so much better. | |
| Something happens when the favor of the Lord comes in. | |
| Yep. | |
| That's what happened to you. | |
| The favor of the Lord. | |
| One morning, I saw a video that Pastor Benny Hinn prophesied over you. | |
| That when you turned 50, things were going to turn around. | |
| Yeah, well, yeah. | |
| And he said that to me in my early 20s. | |
| And I was like, listen, this word is for you, though. | |
| This word is for you because maybe you got a word 20 years ago and you still haven't hit your landmark. | |
| Oh, no. | |
| Listen, I promise you, this is a true story. | |
| We were in Israel. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And so this crazy woman shows up at my church. | |
| I did not have electricity on at my church. | |
| Okay. | |
| And I was, we were broke. | |
| We were so poor, I couldn't even pay attention. | |
| And we were sitting in there, minding our own business. | |
| This crazy lady pulls up. | |
| I hear this car pull up. | |
| We had the door open because it was so hot. | |
| And she said, The Lord told me to give this to you. | |
| This is two tickets to Israel. | |
| All expenses paid. | |
| You're going to stay in the whatever hotel, the Sheridan Hotel on Mount Moriah. | |
| Everything's paid for. | |
| And you leave next Friday. | |
| And I was like, I was like, I'm not going to Israel next week. | |
| I was like, you're crazy because I was going to be in Mexico. | |
| We were leaving, which you've been with me to Mexico. | |
| And so I thought about it and thought about it and thought about it. | |
| Went, I don't know, maybe we can pull this off. | |
| Now, we had no money to take with us, but I also do not have any class, so I was not afraid to do this. | |
| I knew that they had, I knew I had a free breakfast, and I was just going to eat a big breakfast and then put it in napkins, take it back to the room. | |
| And that's what me and Leanna was going to eat for supper. | |
| And then we were just going to walk around Jerusalem and all that. | |
| We get there, we arrive. | |
| I've just been in a trash dump all week long in Mount Amoros, Mexico. | |
| We get there, we land. | |
| I walk into the hotel. | |
| I drop my bags and I just started weeping. | |
| And I was like, Leanna, 24 hours ago, we were in a trash dump in Mexico. | |
| Now we're in Mount Moriah. | |
| This is nuts. | |
| And so we're hugging each other. | |
| And I look across her shoulder and I see Benny Hinn eyeballing me. | |
| Now, I didn't. | |
| Benny Hinn was there. | |
| Jack Hayford was there. | |
| There was a whole bunch of world famous pastors and they were all checking into the same hotel. | |
| And this was at the height of Benny Hinn's ministry. | |
| And I never, nobody knew who I was. | |
| I'd never met anybody, you know, famous or anything. | |
| And he's eyeballing me. | |
| And he comes walking up. | |
| I told Leanna, Benny Hinn is walking over here. | |
| I'm still hugging her. | |
| And she said, Oh, I hope he doesn't come over here because Troy, you stink. | |
| True story. | |
| I've been in a trash dump. | |
| I've seen it to our wives, to be real. | |
| I've been in a trash dump. | |
| I mean, the whole day before that, I was literally in a trash dump. | |
| And so I was like, wow. | |
| I said, yeah, me too. | |
| I said, well, he's coming. | |
| So he comes over. | |
| You know how he is? | |
| He's real dramatic, dude. | |
| Yeah, exactly. | |
| He says, excuse me. | |
| He had his hand on his mouth. | |
| He says, excuse me. | |
| He goes, Are you a man of God? | |
| And I said, Yes, sir. | |
| I do love the Lord. | |
| And he said, Do you know you have a Joshua anointing? | |
| And I said, Well, I'm from Joshua, Texas. | |
| Get out of here. | |
| Lived there 50 years. | |
| Wow. | |
| And he said, Wow. | |
| And this is exactly what Benny Hinn does. | |
| He goes, He says he's from Joshua, Texas. | |
| And all this, you know, all these people started clapping, you know. | |
| And then he just started prophesying to me. | |
| And I mean, the anointing hit him. | |
| And I was just, I mean, we hadn't checked in the hotel yet. | |
| And Benny Hinn says to me, You've got books in you, young man, so you need to get to writing. | |
| And they're going to be required reading in theological seminaries all over the planet. | |
| And by the way, numbers that preach is required reading in theological seminaries all over the planet Earth. | |
| And he said, He said, You're going to have a television ministry. | |
| And he said, God's going to make you the face of redemption. | |
| That's what he said. | |
| And then he said, This, God's going to trust you with millions and millions and millions of dollars. | |
| And you're going to be famous because you're going to give it all away. | |
| And he said, Your church is going to grow up. | |
| He goes, You've got such a worldwide ministry, young man. | |
| You've got such a great ministry. | |
| And then he says, This, but it shall not happen until you turn 50 years old. | |
| And I was like, Oh, my Lord. | |
| Okay. | |
| How do you get a word? | |
| Listen, this is God. | |
| It's crazy. | |
| He did. | |
| God will call you, then he'll make you wait. | |
| Oh, well, you know, you have to, you have to stay in the game. | |
| You cannot bail. | |
| You have to be an overcomer. | |
| All right. | |
| And I want to tell you, the year I turned 50 years old was 2016. | |
| And that was the year that we sold hundreds of thousands of books of a book I had written 18 years earlier. | |
| That was the year that my book became required reading in theological seminaries. | |
| It was actually that year. | |
| And that was the year that we started our television ministry. | |
| And he nailed it. | |
| Wow. | |
| And so. | |
| I'm so glad you're a friend to this ministry. | |
| Thank you. | |
| Pastor Jim and Lori, Ricky, they all love you. | |
| I love them too. | |
| Your friend Jim Baker, keep praying for him. | |
| You know, his situation of having strokes, it's unbelievable. | |
| Yet the determination for him to keep standing, keep fighting. | |
| But you know what? | |
| God has a plan. | |
| God has a purpose. | |
| And thank God for friends like you. | |
| And I want to meet a few friends of the ministry because this people here are celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary. | |
| Congratulations. | |
| Great. | |
| Welcome to the program. | |
| What does it mean to you to be here at Morning Sight? | |
| Well, I'm a late in life bloomer, as is my wife. | |
| And so for us to get here finally, it's been a few years, but we wanted to come somewhere where the gospel is preached to the world. | |
| And then to see you, Mondo, doing what you do and know that your history was that you were in a rough way. | |
| And God redeemed you. | |
| If he can do it for you, he can do it for me, for my wife, for everyone. | |
| And we love that. | |
| Wow. | |
| You're so kind. | |
| I'm going to give you one minute to ask this question. | |
| What is that question you want to ask? | |
| Well, I wanted to ask Troy, what would be his advice for people who are going through a tough time and they want to give up? | |
| I think a lot of people going through times that we live in just want to give up. | |
| So what's his encouragement? | |
| Pastor? | |
| Well, you have to remove the option to give up. | |
| And the idea that we have the option to quit has been planted in us, and that's not the voice of the Lord. | |
| With the rise of anxiety and hopelessness in the day that we're living, it's because the rise of the voice of it has been given place to. | |
| And I just, I would say this, you know, man, there have been a lot of places and still are places where I have no success. | |
| I'm not seeing any fruit. | |
| I'm not, you know, whatever. | |
| Like, okay, how much longer should I stand here? | |
| Well, I don't have an option to go anywhere else. | |
| And when Jesus asked the disciples, he said, well, he asked Peter, will you leave me also? | |
| And Peter said, where else can I go? | |
| And he's like, I have no option to go anywhere else. | |
| Why are you even asking me that? | |
| And I think that, you know, we also need to learn how to encourage ourselves. | |
| And the Bible says that David encouraged himself in the Lord. | |
| He didn't have to have somebody else encourage. | |
| He would just like, you know, it's pretty cool. | |
| I'm still standing here. | |
| I really don't even know why, except for I love the Lord. | |
| And it's pretty cool that I haven't get, you have to learn how to encourage yourself and not hate yourself because you haven't seen the fruit and the success and the victory. | |
| Those things will come, but they come in a due season. | |
| Wow, that's a good word. | |
| The number seven, they're celebrating seven years. | |
| What does that mean? | |
| You're the numbers, man. | |
| What does the number seven mean? | |
| It means you better keep this lady happy. | |
| That's what that means. | |
| You know what? | |
| The number seven is the most prolific number all in the word of God. | |
| There's no greater number than the number seven, especially in the book of Revelation. | |
| So when Jesus is revealed, he likes to stamp the number seven on it. | |
| And that's why the seventh day also, of course, is the day of rest or the day that God has dominion. | |
| That's what rest actually means. | |
| Rest does not mean inactivity. | |
| Rest means giving God dominion. | |
| Amen. | |
| And so this is not, I just prophesy to you guys and say this is not going to be a year of inactivity, but it's going to be a year where God Almighty has dominion. | |
| And I declare that such as I have in my marriage with my beautiful bride. | |
| And I'm telling you guys, I actually feel sorry for Leanna. | |
| She loves me so much. | |
| She can't even concentrate. | |
| She's, yeah, there you go. | |
| Anyway, such as I have, I give unto you and declare the ministry of your marriage, the ministry of your marriage is one that bears much fruit. | |
| In Jesus' name, amen. | |
| Wow. | |
| Hallelujah. | |
| Wow. | |
| What a powerful moment. | |
| I want to gift you Pastor Troy Brewer's book and I want you to study it, learn from it. | |

| Whoa, I hope you order it today because this company is dedicated to bringing you the best product. | |
| I was telling Pastor Troy about it. | |
| Your ministry really needs to carry this product because they'll bless your ministry, but it will bless the farmers of America. | |
| And we love farmers. | |
| And there's a war against farmers. | |
| There's a war against cattlemen and cattle women and the cattle industry. | |
| When we see these things coming to attack farmers and cattles and all that, what does that tell you? | |
| Well, it tells me there's a lot of people that they hate freedom and they don't want you having too much freedom. | |
| I'm a cattleman. | |
| I've got cows and I've got a ranch and I have those things. | |
| Even though it's at a very small level. | |
| But I can tell you this: the reason why there has been such an onslaught against farmers and ranchers and cattlemen across the United States, across the United States, is because access to that food is too much freedom for them to be able to handle. | |
| They don't want us to have access to that. | |
| What they want to do is they want to create a crisis so that they can bring a mandate. | |
| So, like anytime that there's a global crisis and they just make up stuff, they just make up stuff. | |
| And then there's a global crisis. | |
| So then they require, it requires a global mandate. | |
| And even though nobody's voted for those things, what's real is they just put those things in place. | |
| And I, guys, we have to fight for the farmers. | |
| We had to fight for them. | |
|
2,000 Years Timeline
00:10:07
|
|
| And our freedom is really determined upon if the farmers, if the farmers and the truckers, if those guys prosper, then the rest of us prosper. | |
| If they do not, then we suffer. | |
| Where are we in the timeline of Bible prophecy from your perspective? | |
| Yeah, so from the fall of Adam, not the creation of Adam, because I don't know when that was, and we don't even know how to measure that kind of time, but from the fall of Adam until now is about 6,000 years. | |
| So you basically have 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham, 2,000 years from Abraham unto Jesus, and 2,000 years unto Jesus unto now. | |
| A day is to the Lord as a thousand years. | |
| You know that. | |
| That is six days. | |
| We're at the end of the sixth day, which means Jesus comes back at the beginning of the seventh day, and we know that he rules and he reigns for a thousand years. | |
| So we are that close, friends. | |
| We are that close. | |
| There is something called a world clock in heaven. | |
| And I had a dream, and my daddy was in this dream. | |
| And my daddy told me in this dream, Troy, we are not subject to time in heaven, as you know, but we are aware of the world clock. | |
| And he called it the world clock. | |
| And he said, Troy, you're that far away from the return of Jesus. | |
| Don't stop. | |
| Don't slow down. | |
| Don't back off. | |
| Keep going, keep going, keep going because Jesus is coming soon. | |
| Wow. | |
| Events have taken place that have changed the landmarks of America, for example. | |
| You write about a very historic event that changed the world. | |
| Books have been written about it. | |
| Movies have been made, documentaries. | |
| As a matter of fact, when you come to Branson, half of that ship standing in Branson with artifacts. | |
| And when you walk through it, it's like stepping back in time. | |
| But I'm talking about the Titanic. | |
| And why did you feel that you needed to put the Titanic in chapter two of this book that you wrote, Numbers That Prophesied? | |
| By the way, if you want a copy of this book, I want you to go to the website jimbakershow.com or give us a call right now: 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Don't just get one copy, get several copies and start a Bible study with it. | |
| Begin to study what Pastor Troy is writing about. | |
| You use a lot of scripture, sir, to back up everything that you're saying. | |
| I love that because it's not a book just about history, it's a book that pairs with scripture. | |
| Titanic was historic, still continues to be historic. | |
| I think we all saw the movie. | |
| Jack! | |
| Rose! | |
| Let me go! | |
| I went to the premiere of that movie in England, in Plymouth, England, where the Titanic left. | |
| Okay. | |
| I actually was there At the premiere of that movie, from the very place that we literally walked outside and you could see the remnant of the dock of where the Titanic left. | |
| And it was, there was family and friends and people that had been on the Titanic was all there. | |
| And after the movie was over with, the movie was done, everybody sit in the audience. | |
| Nobody clapped. | |
| Everybody just sit there. | |
| Everybody was super quiet. | |
| It was profound. | |
| It was a game changer. | |
| Why did you write about it? | |
| What's prophetic about that? | |
| Well, the history of this is his story. | |
| It's his story. | |
| And I can see the voice of God in it. | |
| Now, I don't think that God Almighty sank the Titanic. | |
| I don't think that at all. | |
| I don't think that God was happy of the death of all of those incredible and beautiful people. | |
| No, no, no. | |
| God Almighty employs things and he'll take something and he'll actually put his word in the midst of something that's even terrible and dark. | |
| And sometimes the conclusions we come to is that God did it. | |
| Like if you found Jesus because you got cancer and then God Almighty healed you or God Almighty walked with you through your cancer, if you're not careful, you can come to the determination that it was Jesus that gave you cancer. | |
| No, it was not. | |
| It was just the Lord that showed up in it. | |
| Amen. | |
| And just like that, the Titanic, the date of the Titanic is so significant because 47 years to the day before the Titanic, President Abraham Lincoln was shot on April the 14th, which by the way was Passover and was also Good Friday. | |
| Wow. | |
| And then 47 years later, and he's the 16th president, right? | |
| He represents the love of God. | |
| He dies literally on Passover. | |
| He literally dies on Good Friday. | |
| We all know the symbolism of that. | |
| And then 47 years to the later, to the years later, Psalms 47, the Titanic strikes the iceberg. | |
| On April the 15th is the day that President Lincoln actually died, though he was struck on the 14th. | |
| The Titanic actually sank on the 15th, though it struck the iceberg on the 14th. | |
| Wow. | |
| These two things overlap because the message that God wants us to hear is so clear. | |
| I unpacked that message all the way through it, and I really believe that God is still speaking today. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| If you want to read more about that story, Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, I want you to get the book today, Numbers That Prophesied, Hearing God Through Historic Headlines and Numbers That Preach. | |
| This book is forwarded by our dear friend Joseph Z. Get several copies today: 1-888-988-1588, or go to the website, jimbakershow.com. | |
| Again, visit our website because you're going to find what my sister used to say, a plethora of different options and different affiliates that we have partnered in order to keep going. | |
| And listen, if you're thinking about giving today, do it today. | |
| Don't hesitate. | |
| A lot of people, when they hear a word, Pastor Troy, they hesitate and they never come back to it. | |
| How do we learn to act when God speaks? | |
| Yeah, the more immediate you act, the more God Almighty can trust you, and the more God Almighty will speak and He will give you directions and then the more victory that you will see. | |
| And we have to do that. | |
| We have to say yes. | |
| We have to have a ready yes in our spirit. | |
| And anytime God Almighty speaks to us, we go, Okay, yes. | |
| And we just do it. | |
| Well, but I got to figure it out first. | |
| No, you do not. | |
| You don't got to figure it out first. | |
| That's craziness. | |
| Hey, did you figure out how to raise kids before you had them? | |
| Like, no. | |
| Did you figure out how to be married before you got married? | |
| No. | |
| You just had a yes, and you're like, no, no, this is what I want in my life. | |
| And you do that. | |
| What you want is the powerful word of God within your life. | |
| So react and steward it. | |
| God spoke to me a word two months ago that I'm going to share with you on my show, The Mondo Show. | |
| I'm asking you to tune in and watch the Mondo Show on the PTL network. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| God is speaking to you. | |
| God is talking to you. | |
| God is knocking out the door. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| Faith without works is dead, the Bible says. | |
| That's right. | |
| Stop just praying about it. | |
| Stop counseling division about it. | |
| Stop doing everything that God already told you he was already going to do. | |
| Now he's waiting on you. | |
| It's time to act today. | |
| Step in. | |
| Listen, if God has called you to support this ministry, and not everybody is, the point is, are you willing to step out in faith and believe for a miracle? | |
| Are you willing to believe for peace or live under the torment of the devil? | |
| The choice is yours today. | |
| Do you want to continue to be tormented by the past and the trauma and keep making excuses? | |
| Or are you willing to step out on faith just like Peter did and trust the Lord and keep your eyes on Jesus knowing that he is Jehovah Jireh, your provider? | |
| And God is about to provide miracles for you that you forgot about. | |
| Prophetic words that someone gave you when you were 20 are now going to come to pass because you've been faithful to the Lord. | |
| You have endured all the way up to the end. | |
| There's so much scriptures about endurance. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| This ministry, Pastor Jim and Lori Baker, Ricky Baker, myself, we have endured all the way up to today. | |
| And it's because God has been faithful. | |
| But another thing has worked in this progress is that we have seen God move and we continue to say yes to the Lord. | |
| When they told us it's impossible to keep going, you're shutting down, you only have two weeks left to financially to survive. | |
| Well, guess what? | |
| God had a different plan because he used you. | |
| And without you, we can't make it. | |
| Why? | |
| Because God uses people. | |
| Sure, he can send angels. | |
| And I believe in angels, but I also believe that God is using you. | |
| A man heard the voice of God living in Florida, drove 16 hours to Morningside to deliver a check that we were praying for, the same amount that we were praying for. | |
| This man drove 16 hours, not even to be a part of the conference, to deliver a miracle. | |
| And guess what? | |
| We're still here. | |
| And I believe you're still there. | |
| If you want to continue to be a part of this miracle, sow a seed today. | |
| No matter what people are saying, no matter what anybody else is saying, keep your eyes on Jesus. | |
|
