Technology And The Outpouring Of Mercy
00:15:07
|
|
| Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Today, we discuss revelation events that matter to you. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo de la Vega. | |
| And now, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Hello, friends. | |
| You're watching the PTL Television Network. | |
| We are excited you have tuned in with us today. | |
| Today is the day the Lord has made, Mondo. | |
| Don't mess it up. | |
| Don't mess it up. | |
| I'll rejoice and be glad in it. | |
| Friends, if you have your Bible at home, open up to the book of Acts. | |
| It says right here in Acts chapter 2, verse 17, Mondo. | |
| You know, this is a prophetic word given to us from Joel. | |
| And it says, it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my spirit on all people. | |
| Then your sons and daughters will prophesy. | |
| Your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams. | |
| And I will even pour out my spirit on my servants in those days, both men and women, and they will prophesy. | |
| And I will display wonders in the heaven and signs on the earth below. | |
| You know, this is an incredible thing, Mondo. | |
| We're entering into a time where in the last days, we are going to see an outpouring of the Holy Spirit like we have never seen before, to where there is, doesn't matter if you are a son or a daughter, if you are an old man or a young man, if you're a servant or if you're not a servant, there will be an outpouring of the Spirit on everyone. | |
| The Bible says, where sin abounds, much more grace abounds. | |
| Amen. | |
| And the grace of God is knocking at every door, on every home, on every institution. | |
| The question will be, are you willing to answer? | |
| Because we're watching the move of God, Ricky, in so many different spaces of society that is so encouraging to know that people are hungry and thirsty for the truth. | |
| Amen. | |
| And sometimes the truth comes with a price. | |
| And the price is you have to face some of the consequences of some actions that you have made. | |
| But at the same time, God gives you the grace to walk through the valley of the shadow of death. | |
| Whatever your shadow looks like today, be hopeful that there's a move of God that is going to get you through the valley of the shadow in order to understand the times and the seasons that you're in right now. | |
| I love how the Bible, on one hand, parallels, you know, destruction, but at the same time, an outpouring. | |
| Amen. | |
| The grace of God will always be in the midst of darkness. | |
| You see, I see it this way. | |
| The moment you remove the light from this studio, darkness takes place immediately. | |
| Yes. | |
| But something happens when you flip the switch on and the light appears. | |
| That means that it's time for you to turn your light on and allow the move of God, the outpouring, to enter into the midst of your lives because darkness is automatically living there. | |
| But the moment you turn that light on, something begins to happen. | |
| Amen. | |
| It says here in Titus chapter 3, verse 4, but when the kindness of God, our Savior, and in his love for mankind appeared, he saved us, not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit. | |
| It's what you were just saying. | |
| Where sin abounds, much more grace abounds. | |
| Right here, it makes it very clear that it is not our own works of righteousness that we had done, but it is according to his mercy. | |
| We need more mercy. | |
| We do. | |
| You know why? | |
| Because technology is advancing so fast that people are going to run at the mercy seat of technology. | |
| Why? | |
| Because technology is going to provide answers that the Bible already gave us. | |
| But if we don't present the answers before mankind, then we are at the mercy and grace of technology that is changing fast. | |
| What do I mean by that? | |
| Can I read you this headline? | |
| Because I think it's so important to understand that things are accelerating faster than anybody expected. | |
| But listen to this. | |
| Implantable brain-computer interfaces are here, and they are a giant step towards the dystopian digital prison society, the elite, have planned for us. | |
| What does that mean? | |
| That right now they are developing a chip or a technology, synchron technology that can tap into your brain and control everything with your thoughts. | |
| Meaning that I can control this laptop with my thought. | |
| I can control my phone with my thought. | |
| I can write emails with my thoughts. | |
| We're going to be at the mercy of technology and it's going to be a prison that we didn't ask for, but we're slowly moving into. | |
| But at the same time, it's creating an opportunity with someone with ALS. | |
| What do I mean by that? | |
| Technology is going to begin to replace what we have always believed the Bible to be true. | |
| The signs and wonders are going to be there, but also technology is going to parallel that and it's going to become a deceptive moment of truth that if we don't know the word, we're going to find ourselves at the mercy seat of technology and it's going to change society forever. | |
| That's true. | |
| They are planning to implement this by 2030. | |
| They're doing the testing right now. | |
| Now, you have to understand that's five years away. | |
| That's going to be a blink of an eye. | |
| Hey, you're preaching now. | |
| Yeah. | |
| At a blinking of an eye, society will change. | |
| They're changing us already. | |
| Technology has a way to change miracles because when you start understanding that people are going to run at the seat, at the mercy seat, I keep saying that, but we're going to find ourselves in a moment where is God going to perform the miracle by faith or are we going to allow technology to do that for us? | |
| You know, we have to stand on every thing that the Bible says. | |
| Like you said, the word of God. | |
| We have a video from your friend, Pastor Jim Baker, that we have to stand on the word of God every single day. | |
| Watch this. | |
| Isn't it something? | |
| Why did Jesus died on the cross? | |
| For our sins, for our failures, for our mistakes. | |
| But yet, when a Christian makes a mistake, sometimes people say, oh, you can't be forgiven. | |
| And they proclaim that. | |
| The enemy comes in and he wants to bring you down, not up. | |
| But we have to every day stand on the word of the living God. | |
| That's right. | |
| And if you're going to make it this year, 2023, you're going to have to stand on the word of the living God. | |
| Amen. | |
| And the Bible says, when you've done everything you know to do, what does it say? | |
| Stand. | |
| So when you've done everything you know to do, and it seems like it's all crumbling around, if it's your family life, it's your work life, whatever. | |
| God says, Jesus says, I'm going to build my church and the gates of hell. | |
| And we're going to face powers of hell in the next coming years. | |
| We're going to face unbelievable situations. | |
| But you must be with God. | |
| You need the body of Christ to encourage one another. | |
| We don't need naysayers. | |
| We don't need people criticizing. | |
| If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, right there, let's just stand on that. | |
| Jesus Christ is the Son of God. | |
| Amen. | |
| He died on the cross for our sins. | |
| And it doesn't make any difference if you're a Methodist or a Baptist or a Pentecostal or a Lutheran or whatever you are, Mando. | |
| What are you? | |
| You know what you are? | |
| I'm saved. | |
| I'm saved by the blood. | |
| Is that statement still true? | |
| Is that statement still true? | |
| No, still true. | |
| Listen, the problem is when you start putting yourself into these labels and boxes, then you don't allow the Spirit of God to move. | |
| Whether you're Catholic, oh, I know you probably fainted by that statement, but whether you're Catholic, Baptist, Orthodox, Christian, I mean, whatever it is, you said something at the beginning that we're going to come to a time where we're going to be unified. | |
| Catholics are going to unify with assemblies of God and Baptists and Presbyterians, because I want to tell you something. | |
| It is in the unity that we're able to stand. | |
| The church has, I don't get it. | |
| The church has fought itself for a long time. | |
| Yeah, it's like I said in our Wednesday night service a few weeks ago, it's like the church has an autoimmune disease. | |
| It's fighting itself. | |
| And, you know, how do you expect your body to be able to work in full function when you're fighting itself? | |
| When the red blood cells are fighting the white blood cells and the white blood cells are fighting your nervous system. | |
| You know, you can't really expect to work at full operation. | |
| I do think, you know, like we said at the beginning of the show, I think before the show started, it's going to come to a point where it's people who love Jesus with all of their heart versus the rest of the world. | |
| That's it. | |
| That's that the Bible talks about that in Matthew 24. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, 90% of the problems that you're dealing with are self-inflict problems. | |
| That's true. | |
| It things that you can control. | |
| The Bible talks about the fruit of the Spirit talking about self-control. | |
| No one wants to talk about self-control. | |
| You want to talk about joy. | |
| It's a fruit, though. | |
| Yeah, you want to talk about joy. | |
| You want to talk about, you know, all the other fruit of the spirit, but self-control is one of the key elements to understand that 90% of everything that you're dealing with is self-inflicted. | |
| The other 10% are just miraculous, you know, tactics of the devil that come and attack you and whatnot. | |
| But I want to tell you something. | |
| The church has self-inflicted itself for a long time because we don't walk and stand in unity. | |
| We want to fight who's got the best theology. | |
| We want to fight if miracles are real or not. | |
| We want to fight if the Bible is real or not. | |
| You got the New Testament people. | |
| You got the Old Testament folks. | |
| You got all kinds of funny things that are going on. | |
| Yet people are going to hell. | |
| People are losing their lives. | |
| People are not finding hope because the church is fighting itself and it's killing itself very slowly and the world's watching. | |
| What if we make a shift? | |
| What if we change? | |
| What if for one hour we will be unified? | |
| Can you imagine what would happen? | |
| I know what would happen. | |
| You want to know through the Bible? | |
| Yeah. | |
| Pentecost. | |
| We'd see, yeah, we'd see an act situation again. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| Can you imagine how many times Paul, well, not Paul, let me go back. | |
| Can you imagine how many times Peter fought with Matthew? | |
| How many times they disagreed on so many different issues? | |
| You got the doubter, you got the lover, you got the strange. | |
| John and Peter, yeah. | |
| Can you imagine how many times they fought and disagreed until that very day that something happened in unity, Pentecost came and it changed the trajectory of the church. | |
| And they were able to go out and preach the gospel around the world and win souls and have miracles. | |
| Why aren't we watching this today? | |
| Because we're not in unity. | |
| Yeah, we've seen a lot of people actually in a lot of churches become an enemy of God. | |
| And people say, well, what does that mean? | |
| If you open up the Bible to James chapter 4, let's just go there. | |
| James chapter 4, I'm going to start right here. | |
| It says, so whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God. | |
| Or do you think it's without reason that the scripture says the spirit he made to dwell in us envies intensely, but he gives greater grace. | |
| Therefore, he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. | |
| Do you want grace? | |
| You have to be humble. | |
| And then this is a question I've posed to many friends as we talk on the phone and we walk through this accountability life together is, you know, do you feel like God's resisting you? | |
| And he'll be like, oh, I do. | |
| You know, I feel like my prayers aren't getting answered. | |
| I say, well, then there has to be pride. | |
| Because what does the Bible say? | |
| It says very clearly, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. | |
| We have a lot of churches right now who have inadvertently made themselves an enemy of God because they wanted to be a friend to the world. | |
| Wow. | |
| The Bible says in Mark chapter 3, if a house is be divided, how can it stand? | |
| And we have divided the church in so many different ways. | |
| Look at your own family. | |
| Your family is probably divided and you're not alone. | |
| So many families today are divided because of political stance. | |
| They're divided because of economics. | |
| They're divided because you fought 20 years ago. | |
| As a matter of fact, I was talking to a man yesterday while my son was in soccer practice. | |
| This man has not talked to his sister for over 30 years. | |
| They're divided over something so silly that happened 30 years ago. | |
| And the church today does not understand that there has to be healing. | |
| But in order for healing to take place, you have to allow God to move in. | |
| But God doesn't dwell according to what you just said in a prideful heart. | |
| No, he can't. | |
| There's no way God can operate in a prideful heart. | |
| This actually says he resists it. | |
| Wow. | |
| That should be, write this down. | |
| That should be a non-negotiable with you and God. | |
| That's right. | |
| They are non-negotiables that God has gave us in his word that is very clear on what's going to move an outpouring of the Holy Spirit for every nation, for every man, every woman, every child. | |
| Listen, when you are not standing in God's word, you allow sin to come in. | |
| You have to be mad at sin. | |
| You have to be mad at sin to not allow it to come and infiltrate your household. | |
| I was telling another friend of mine that he asked me for advice and I told him, you know, Rick, I said, you have to understand, you have to hate drugs in order to understand why you should stand against drugs. | |
| And I told him the other day, I don't get it. | |
| Why you don't hate drugs that killed your son? | |
| You have to stop pretending that things don't affect you. | |
| And when we understand the parallels of sin and life, you're going to try to negotiate yourself, but yet at the same time, don't allow pride to sit in because then pride doesn't allow unification to move in. | |

Walmart's Warning
00:04:19
|
|
| We are living in a time. | |
| Pastor Jim said it on that video. | |
| Two years ago, he said we were going to experience some of the most difficult times in our history. | |
| I don't think in the modern history we have ever seen such a fight to understand why we are going to be seen, according to this report, the summer of empty shelves is coming. | |
| I don't think That's a news report right now that America, this in the next few weeks, will be facing. | |
| This report is coming from the CEOs of Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's. | |
| Just to put it into perspective, and just a few hours ago, Walmart made a statement saying that Walmart is going to be hiking up the prices real soon. | |
| That is going to change the way people are going to shop. | |
| That's a tremendous change in America. | |
| That tells you that there's division economically in America because no one is understanding some of the decisions that this administration is making. | |
| So it's creating such an ununified United States of America. | |
| So if America is not united with the decisions that this administration is making, guess where we're headed as a people? | |
| We're going to be very divided. | |
| And in division, chaos moves in. | |
| You know what happens when chaos moves in? | |
| It's not good. | |
| Yes. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| We need to be unified in America. | |
| We have to become a United States of America. | |
| That's right. | |
| Right now it feels like we're just the states of America, doesn't it? | |
| Absolutely. | |
| We need unity. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| I think unification is the key to bringing people together. | |
| There's a ministry in town that every year they have a unification meeting where they bring Catholic priests, they bring pastors, they bring businessmen, they bring everybody together to unify on how they're going to protect and how they're going to lead their community. | |
| And it is so beautiful to see everyone in one room to know that they're in agreement for one reason, Jesus. | |
| Jesus, the most important reason. | |
| Amen. | |
| This show, the show that you support, the show that you pray for every day. | |
| And thank you, by the way, for praying for us. | |
| Amen. | |
| Thank you for supporting us. | |
| Thank you for standing with us. | |
| If you knew for one second what it is to go through what we're going through in our lives daily to try to bring you this program, you will not believe the spiritual battle, the warfare, the stress, the anxiety, the tiredness, the sickness. | |
| But yet, because of your prayers, we show up. | |
| We don't give up. | |
| Amen. | |
| We stand on the word to believe that your prayers are the ones that keep us here. | |
| But this program right here is a program that unifies the voice and the body of Christ because we bring people that they don't agree with each other. | |
| People that disagree on the rapture. | |
| People that disagree on theology. | |
| Matter of fact, you got to see a glimpse of it when we had the Ready Now Expo. | |
| We had people that believed in what aliens are all about. | |
| We had other people that didn't believe in what aliens are all about. | |
| We have people that believe in post-tribulation, pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, no tribulation, and that you see us all fighting. | |
| No. | |
| That's right. | |
| And I think you had a great idea, Ricky, to bring everybody together and let's hear each other's perspective through the word. | |
|
Food Struggles in Six-Figure Households
00:04:24
|
|
| Amen. | |
| If you're going to stand for something, make sure you back it up with the word. | |
| Amen. | |
| That's what it's all about. | |
| I want you guys to watch. | |
| We actually have a CBS article. | |
| Ben, you just had it pulled up. | |
| Let's pull that back up because, Mondo, we were talking about the shelves being empty this summer. | |
| This is actually very interesting because it says here, people with six-figure incomes struggle to get food. | |
| And that's what we're going to see over this next year. | |
| I know we have a good president in the Oval Office right now, but that doesn't mean the hard times still won't come. | |
| I want you guys to watch this. | |
| Talk about this for a second. | |
| Forget the image you may have of people who are hungry. | |
| In America, hunger is now as mobile as this food bag serving a line 60 deep in Connecticut. | |
| Being under financial stress takes a lot of time, a lot of planning, sometimes. | |
| Take Chandra Kelsey grocery shopping on a tight budget for her family of five. | |
| To be in a position where you are doing okay and then you lose everything the next day. | |
| It's humbling. | |
| It's scary. | |
| And yet you'd never suspect Need has lived with this family. | |
| Household income is roughly $150,000. | |
| Two people working full-time. | |
| Sometimes I work two jobs. | |
| How can you make $150,000 and be food insecure? | |
| That's not what you bring home after taxes. | |
| You know, we have mortgage insurance. | |
| We've got one kid on their way to college, one in college. | |
| Something as small as $1,000 expense could throw things off significantly. | |
| This one's crazy looking. | |
| On and off for a decade, Kelsey has relied on help from Connecticut Food Share, the state's largest food bank. | |
| She and two of her children now give back by volunteering here. | |
| All this food, and it's still not enough. | |
| Nationally, more than 50 million people need help getting food from charities like this one. | |
| Here in Connecticut, that's one in eight people. | |
| They're your neighbor, they're your friend, they could be your family. | |
| Jason Jakobowski, Connecticut Food Share CEO, told us demand for their food jumped 23% last year. | |
| He expects another double-digit increase this year. | |
| Are you seeing more people with higher incomes who need your help? | |
| 100%. | |
| Many of them come to us and say, I donated to you for years, and I never in a million years thought I would have to use this service. | |
| What has changed? | |
| A lot of economic unpredictability. | |
| They're scared about their cost of living is going to go up to. | |
| They're scared about what the price of eggs is going to be. | |
| And in its own way, Connecticut Food Share is feeling food insecure. | |
| Government doge cuts last month slashed nearly $2 million from its food budget. | |
| How do you replace that? | |
| We don't. | |
| That's the problem. | |
| Is there any hope here? | |
| We still live in America. | |
| People always step up to the plate. | |
| It may not be enough food, but we're going to keep doing whatever we can to try to provide. | |
| Provide it to more families who never suspected their new worry is their next meal. | |
| Wow. | |
| This is reality in America today. | |
| That's right. | |
| And what hope do you have as a Christian? | |
| Go to the scripture. | |
| I'm not going to give you my opinion. | |
| It doesn't matter. | |
| But the scripture tells us this. | |
| But my God, this is where you begin to shout and rejoice. | |
| Amen. | |
| Watch this. | |
| But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. | |
| That's in Philippians chapter 4, verse 19. | |
| You ought to read the word. | |
| Because today you got to have the headline on one hand, but also have the word of God on the other hand to encourage you. | |
| We, as Christians, as believers of Jesus Christ, we believe in a different economy. | |
| When the world is suffering, God will supply all of your needs. | |
| God will bring you help. | |
| But with that, you also have to learn to prepare. | |
| Most people are afraid to prepare because they're afraid to be title preppers. | |
|

| And think about it today. | |

| Go to the website or give us a call. | |
| You won't regret it. | |
| I'm telling you, things are looking dark out there, but be encouraged because God is going to take care of the church. | |
| God is going to take care of all of us. | |
| The Bible tells us, but my God shall supply all of our needs. | |
| Have faith in this season. | |
| Don't allow your faith to go down. | |
|
The Darker It Gets
00:01:44
|
|
| This is the season where an outpouring of the Holy Spirit is going to begin to give you ideas and strategies to how to get prepared. | |
| Be encouraged today and know that God is on your side. | |
| I don't know, man. | |
| The darker it gets, the more I'm rejoicing because it's telling me that there's an outpouring that is starting to take place and I don't want to miss it. | |
| We don't want you to miss it. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, Amos 3.3 says, how can two people walk together not having agreed on the direction which they'll go? | |
| We've been talking about unity and I believe that that is so critical for the times we're living in. | |
| We as the church need to come together as a body and agree on the direction we're going to go, which is Jesus and Jesus alone. | |
| If you want to give your life to Jesus, it'll be the best decision you've ever made in your entire life. | |
| You can call our number. | |
| It's 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Or you can go to ptl.tv. | |
| Mondo, that new website we're working on, we're revamping. | |
| There's going to be a lot more updates coming to it soon, but PTL.tv, that's kind of where everything is going to be stored here in the next few months. | |
| Wow. | |
| It's going to be good. | |
| It's exciting. | |
| One of those days we're going to spend time with you and just share some of the amazing things that are taking place. | |
| Amen. | |
| And this program is going to be expanding real soon. | |
| So thank you for your support. | |
| Amen. | |
| So remember, that number is 1-888-988-1588. | |
| We'd love to talk to you. | |
| We'd love to pray with you. | |
| We'd love to pray the salvation prayer with you more than anything else because whenever you pray that prayer, you give your life to Jesus. | |
| That means you are now secured in him and he's going to take care of you because you're his daughter, you're his son, and you are his beloved. | |
| Remember this, that God loves you. | |
| He really does. | |
| Thank you for supporting the ministry. | |
