Biblical Worldview Conversations 00:13:12
Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show.
Today, our special guest talks about global events and America's future from a biblical worldview.
Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo de la Vega.
And now, here is your host, Pastor Ricky Baker.
Hello, friends.
You're watching the PTL Television Network.
We are back for broadcast number two with Pastor Josh Navarette.
He's a leader and National Faith Assembly director at Benavito.
Is that how you say it Mondo?
Bien Benido.
Bien Benito.
Come on, guys.
I'm still working on my Spanish.
Bien Benito.
And he has been the driving force in the intersection of faith and civic engagement.
He's the host of a show called the Political Pulpit.
And Mondo, this is available on YouTube, Facebook, Facebook.
They call it X. Probably puts it on Rumble.
Anywhere that you can find the political pulpit, go type it in and follow it.
Because, Mondo, I think we need a little bit more of that as people who will go out there on the fringe and say, you know what?
Let's talk about what the Bible says about political issues.
Global events, America's future through a biblical worldview is so key and so important to understand it because you want to be able to build your case and talk about it.
There's a lot of issues that are taking place that most people are just giving their opinion.
The thing is, what does the Bible have to say about immigration?
What does the Bible have to say about policies?
What does the Bible have to say about you fill in the blank border walls?
Absolutely.
I mean, the thing is this.
If we're going to start having a conversation, let's have it through what does the Bible have to say?
And Pastor Josh does an amazing job.
I hope you go out and support the program, get involved.
We need more voices like this.
And by the way, he's representing the Latino community like never before.
And I love that because here you have two Latinos hosting this program.
And you're Hispanic, right?
Barely.
Well, barely.
Barely.
By nationality and color only, friends.
Other than that, I'm from Blue Eye, Missouri.
I was raised here in the country.
I was raised here in that country.
I grew up here.
I remember one time.
Can I tell a story in the army?
One time I was in the Army and we had gone somewhere and we were testing for something.
And they were doing some checklist of people by age range and a nationality type.
And it's just something they do in the Army.
But anyways, my commander was saying, you know, we have X amount of Caucasian men and one Hispanic.
And I started looking around.
And I said, where's the Hispanic?
And he said, what are you looking around for?
It's you.
I thought, oh, my goodness, it's me.
I forgot.
I actually forgot.
I'm proud to be Hispanic, but it's a good joke.
I said, Sergeant, sir, I was in Blue Eye, Missouri too long, I guess.
So I was trying to figure that out.
But Pastor Josh does a great job representing the Latino.
I don't know if I do, but he does a great job representing the Latino community.
I want to welcome back to the program Pastor Josh.
Come on, now I got to compose myself.
We got a pastor on the line here.
Pastor Josh, I want to say thank you for being on the broadcast.
We're going to dive into our topic today.
We're going to be talking about global events and America's future.
And like I said, thank you for being a good representation of our culture to the rest of the world.
Because, you know, Mondo, sometimes we see immigration issues, we see border issues, and people tend to clump people into a group together.
But they realize there's a lot of good Hispanics who want the well-being of our country to come first.
Absolutely.
Pastor Josh, I know you're one of them.
So talk about this.
Let's talk about these things from a biblical worldview.
How important is it to have a biblical worldview in the times we're living in?
Yeah, well, first of all, I want to say thank you so much.
What an honor to be on the show today and amongst my brothers and sisters of the Hispanic community.
And Ricky, welcome to the family.
No problem.
We love you.
We're happy to have you.
But what I wanted to say as well is that, you know, we're all brothers and sisters in the Lord.
And, you know, the Hispanic community, would you know it, that they're the most conservative group of people that you could probably ever meet.
But something has changed in the culture in America for the last several decades or so.
And it's through media.
And that's why I love what's happening here: through media, we're preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
But unfortunately, in the world, media is not the same.
It's very negative, very dire, very fearful.
It instills fear.
And I think that's where it's changed.
The biblical worldview has been a negative worldview for our Hispanic community because when you talk to them, they're worried about what's happening.
They have the same values we have, but they're also taught through the media where they should vote, who they should get behind.
And that's because they pull on their heartstrings and they make sure that they understand in their world and their view that the left or the, you know, the, the, I don't even want to, you know, let's just say, I don't want to, I don't want to get down on anybody's affiliation with the party.
I don't really affiliate myself with the party.
I affiliate myself with the word of God.
But my point is, is that they're told to vote a certain way because they use fear to scare them.
But when I have these conversations with them and I go down the list of issues and what the word of God teaches us, they're like, oh, wow, yeah, I am a conservative.
I am a Bible-believing Christian.
I should vote for these issues.
So on a biblical worldview stage, it's important to use the word of God to drive the direction of the people, especially in America.
Wow.
This is so key.
We got to have these conversations and not be afraid to agree and disagree.
I love the fact that you bring the Bible into place.
And I want to bring up something that is dear to us, which is prophecy, right?
When you look at the prophetic scriptures, are there any patterns or warnings that you see playing out right now globally?
I do.
I do.
And you don't have to look very far.
You know, when we start to see the alignment of different alliances of countries going against Israel, that concerns me, but also alerts me and shows me that we are getting close.
Just the other day, especially those that are allies with Israel, they start to look, you know, people start to talk negatively, especially President Donald Trump.
I hope you all don't mind that I give my support to where I believe God has brought this president, President Donald Trump, as president of our country because he supported Israel so much.
But just the other day at Pope Francis' funeral, he walks in and it's dead silence.
And then you have Zelensky come in and it's uproars and cheers.
And I'm slowly seeing the alliances start to play out.
People that are anti-Israel, countries that are forming and nations are forming against Israel.
It just shows me that we're getting close, my friends, and we need to stay vigilant and prayerful and stand firm on the word of God.
Also, AI, AI is playing a huge role.
And this one-world governance that we're starting to see form slowly but surely.
And it's happening, happening very quickly.
You know, absolutely.
I want to just talk about that for a second.
You know, we're seeing the rise of artificial intelligence as well as a one-world governmental system.
I don't know if you guys know this.
Read the back of the book.
It talks about this.
Where there will be a one-world government.
There will be a one-world currency, a one-world religion, an agenda that will be tried to be pushed.
And Mondo, this doesn't happen overnight.
This is decades, if not centuries, in the making to develop something like this.
But, Pastor Josh, how does a believer ensure that they don't fall prey to the deception that's going to happen?
Yeah, that's a great question.
I believe that Christians need to be prayerful and understand the times that we're living in.
Realize that the Bible talks about a one-world order that's coming together that's going to be a certain way to purchase things.
Like you can't take, you won't be able to use, buy, sell, eat without a certain mark that the Bible talks about.
But you also got to be, you also have to realize things that are happening in the world that by realizing what's going on in America, policies that are changing in America, currencies changing.
You have the crypto exchange.
You have the economy taking big shifts in different ways.
Banks collectively joining together for this one world order, one world currency.
Then you also have the World Economic Forum that talks about doing things collectively as a single, single unit.
We have to be prayerful.
We have to be vigilant.
And we have to understand the times that we're living in.
And, you know, I think it's easy because when you stay grounded on the word of God, nothing can change, change your heart, change your mind.
Like the sons of Issachar that we talked in the first broadcast, the Lord will give you discernment.
He'll give you an understanding.
He'll show you and he'll teach you on what to do, what to take part in, what not to do.
But if you stay grounded on the word of God, you and I are going to be a-okay and there's not a better time than to be alive than right now today to see the prophecies of the Lord happening in this day.
You know, there's a headline that no one is talking about.
I'm not hearing very many people talk about this headline right here.
The CEOs of Walmart, Target, Home Depot, and Lowe's are warning that stores and the shelves all over America could soon be empty.
I have to ask you this question because this headline, it's separating us economically, politically, and spiritually because of the decision that our president has made when it comes to tariffs.
Why do you feel that America cannot seem to come together?
We're more divided now than we were maybe 10 years ago, and it's causing instability.
This type of things that we're watching, warning signs that Christians should not be ignoring.
Yeah, I think it's so critical.
That's an amazing point that they use fear.
They want to use fear.
The enemy wants to use fear to scare us into their submission.
But I want the viewers to know that we will not bow to Baal.
We will not bow to the idols of this world because they want to scare us into it.
You know, that fire that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into, they turned up the heat.
And that's what the world is trying to do to us.
They're trying to scare you with headlines and show you and tell you that if you don't bow, you might not have a place to buy.
If you don't bow, you might not have items on the shelves to purchase or to even feed your family.
They want to force us into submission, but we have to believe this is all in God's plan and he's going to take care of his people.
Don't forget when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fire.
It was so hot that the soldiers even passed, they couldn't stand the heat.
But God was the fourth man in the fire.
He's going to be with us.
He's right there with you no matter what happens, but we still need to be vigilant, understand what's happening.
These tariffs that you mentioned, I think that it's ordained by God that he's resetting America and the way we do business.
It's not meant to be easy.
It's like when you're doing spring cleaning at your house.
It gets worse before it gets better.
So that's kind of what I think is going to happen.
It's going to get worse before it gets better.
But we got to continue to pray for the president, pray for America, and pray for his people.
Discernment is what I grab from what he's saying.
You have to have discernment.
Discernment not to cast the first stone to the president.
It's no mistake that he understands economics.
There's no mistake that God has put him there.
And when you listen to what the World Economic Forum is saying, you should be paying attention that deception is right behind it when they make statements like, you'll own nothing and be happy.
Yet, the president puts tariffs in place to bring economic leadership in place.
And now the whole United States wants to rebel against it.
Yes.
I believe this is the reason why God has called this ministry to get you prepared.
Why we have been in this campaign for the last 20 years.
Two decades.
And really sounding the alarm and warning you to be prepared because when you're prepared, you have time to build faith and no time for fear.
That's right.
When you're not prepared, you have room for a lot of fear.
And that, my friend, is going to cause you to really fall into deception.
That's right.
Why do you believe in preparedness, Ricky?
For peace.
The same reason that when I was in the military, we prepared, we'd do the same thing over and over.
There'd be weeks and months and six months, seven months where we would do the same few exercises over and over and over.
Numana: Peace in Every Bite 00:03:00
And of course, me as a lower enlisted at the time, I'd get really annoyed with it.
I'd say, my goodness, we've done the same thing over and over and over.
Why do we do this?
And they say, because preparation brings peace.
Knowing that you are the most well-trained person in the room, knowing you're the most well-trained, most prepared person, preparation brings peace.
And I realize that carries over to my spiritual walk as well.
When I prepare for spiritual warfare by being prepared in the Word of God, by having a relationship with the Holy Spirit, by being intimate with Jesus Christ, when I have that preparation mondo, I can walk into the fire like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and I can have peace.
And peace is our fourth man in the fire because Jesus is peace.
Oh, man.
Listen, and we want to show you this to give you a little bit of peace on how to get prepared.
Amen.

Church's Mandate to Act 00:12:30
Amen.
That's one of the sponsors that allows us to continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
But also, Mondo, we've been able to take food to disaster zones and feed people.
Believers, I believe that the church needs to be responsible for feeding, clothing, and taking care of those in need.
Mondo, it's like our mandate.
I believe we've been given the mandate and we need to stand up and fulfill that mandate.
You know, Pastor Josh, many churches are afraid to address these global realities happening around us.
So why do you believe that there's such a fear of speaking about things like prophecy or judgment or even America's future?
Unfortunately, I feel that there's a lot of churches that are suffering an apathetic message that basically means that it's a watered-down gospel that makes everybody feel good, but doesn't really compel them to truth.
And that's what I'm noticing is that a lot of congregations are dying because of lack of truth.
The Bible says that my people perish for the lack of knowledge.
And if your pastors aren't informing you of what's happening according to scripture and aligning it with what's happening in the world today, then you could be leading people into a false hope.
And I love what you guys just did.
You showed everybody how to be prepared.
Your viewers will be ready if anything was to come or anything was to change.
It's not for a fearful message.
I love what you said, Ricky.
It's for peace, a peace that shows you that you can be ready in case of anything, in case of any changes in your city.
And unfortunately, I feel that pastors, just, you know, I'm not speaking about all the pastors, but there's many out there that are just so worried about making sure that the seats are filled, but that the hearts, you know, I worry, aren't ready for what's about to happen.
So it's our job, and I love what you all are doing on your show, but it's our job to continue to talk about these things, talk about the changes in our world, the alliances that are happening, you know, that are happening across the big blue ocean.
You know, I don't know if this, if we all know that there's red heifers in the hands of Israel right now.
There's a lot that's happening that's so important.
And our people need to be ready.
And it's our job to make sure they're prepared.
100%.
It absolutely is.
You know, we're talking about preparation.
I believe in spiritual preparation first and foremost, which comes from having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
But also, we live lives of constant repentance.
We are all imperfect.
I don't know if you guys know that, but we're all imperfect.
But, Pastor Josh, what role does personal repentance and national repentance play in maybe delaying or mitigating judgment?
Wow, that's a loaded question, Ricky.
But I'll tell you this: is that obviously personal repentance is important because we need to show Christ that we're serious about our salvation.
You know, you want to repent for our sins, of course.
But repenting isn't just saying, Lord, I'm sorry.
It's changing.
It's a whole turnaround.
It's turning away from those things that have separated us from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
But as a nation, there's many, many sins that we have to repent for.
There's things that we've allowed to happen, not only in our cities, in our schools, our courts, our communities, but even in our churches.
I believe that it's time that as a part of this great awakening that's happening, it's coming to the Lord and saying, you know what?
We're not going to do things the way we used to do.
As Americans, as America, we need to put a priority on righteousness and do away with the moral decay that's taken over, I think, because of the sins of this nation.
And there's many things as a church we can do to continue to press in the right direction and make sure we don't go back that way and suffer the judgments that we've seen.
I believe that the last four years was in a sense a sign that if we don't turn to God and we don't turn right this ship, we could be going down a path that we may never recover from.
How do we encourage believers not to fall into fear, but to live it?
We talked about it in the last program, I think.
Faith.
Amen.
Oh, and boldness.
and expectations, especially in these times.
I feel like the church needs to ignite boldness more.
Faith.
How do we do that?
You know, I think fear is the number one tool that the enemy uses.
But I love what the Bible says in 2 Timothy 1, 7.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power.
He's giving you power.
And then he's giving you love.
And here's the other part, a sound mind.
When you don't have fear and you don't succumb to the fears of the enemy, you can think clearly.
You can act with strength and you can provide with love and you can speak with love.
We have to combat fear and identify.
Again, going back to discernment.
When the enemy uses fear, we use love.
When the enemy uses fear, we turn to Christ because perfect love casts out all fear.
So whatever the enemy is telling you, whatever the news is throwing down your throat about what's happening in the world and that article we just read where the shelves may be empty, we use love because God's perfect love, in his presence, you have joy, but you also seek his love.
And where love is, fear does not exist.
So if we have the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind, fear can't control us anymore.
Absolutely.
Amen.
Pastor Josh, with five minutes left in the broadcast, I want you to take as much time as you need.
I want you to deliver one urgent message to the American church today about America's future and God's purposes globally.
So tell us what that would be.
You can take your time on this because I really want you to drive this point home.
Yes, sir.
Thank you so much for this time.
I want to talk to you about what I've been doing for the last four years and how it's changed my life.
And I would even hope and pray that it's changed our community around us.
You know, when God called me, I was in prayer on a Saturday morning.
I led prayer Saturday morning at our local church and I was praying about a whole other things.
I wanted this nice house and I was believing and I was praying and I was fasting for God, fasting for God to answer.
And I was praying, praying and praying.
But the Lord said something different.
He said, be ready, be prepared because I'm going to place you at tables of presidents, dignitaries, and world leaders.
And it made no sense to me.
And I didn't have any interest in politics.
Two days later, I get called into a room for prayer.
They asked me, do you want to come and pray at this event?
The president's going to be there.
And at the time, it was President Donald Trump in his first term.
And I said, I don't know if it's a good idea, but I also told the Lord, where you call me, I will go.
And that's where he called me.
So two days later, I'm sitting in front of the president in front of that national seal.
And there I am, leading a prayer, blown away by what God's about to do, what he was doing.
And then I realized later that day that I was the only preacher.
I was the only pastor or minister at the time in the room.
And when people found out, they gravitated towards me.
It wasn't me as a person.
It was the spirit of God going before me.
And he says, and people would ask me, Pastor, brother, would you pray for me?
Would you pray for my family?
And I realized that there was a voice that was lacking in these arenas.
And soon after that, I got engaged.
I got our church involved.
And all I did was hold a voter registration booth in our lobby.
Then I sat at heart.
Then I started having conversations with other pastors about what it means to be civically engaged.
And then ordinances in our city were trying to be passed that were anti-bib Bible.
They were anti-everything we believed.
So I got the church involved in other churches to sign petitions and to let our voices heard.
As people of God, you may not want to get involved as much as we do, but you can have a voice.
You can use your Bible, the text you read every morning, the God you turn to every day as a voice, as a standard, as a pillar of hope, faith, and godly fortitude to fight for your city.
So don't be afraid of what the voices of the enemy tell you.
Like I said earlier, God is not giving you a spirit of fear, but he's giving you power, love, and a sound mind.
Amen.
You know, Mondo, that's what we have as believers.
We have the confidence that knowing what Christ did is complete.
The finished work of the cross, the word of God says.
And isn't it a beautiful thing to know that?
Because we then get to walk in full authority of what has already been won for us.
See, you're not fighting for victory.
You're fighting from victory.
The position you stand in is a victorious one if you stand with Christ.
I want you to have the relationship with Jesus Christ.
It's the most important decision you will ever make in your entire life.
If you're saying, well, I don't know what to say or what to pray and I need someone to talk to, because we've had that, Mondo.
You know, sometimes you need someone to be there with you.
Well, we want to be there with you.
You can call our number.
It's 1-888-988-1588.
Or you can fill out a prayer request form on our website, jimbakershow.com, or go to ptl.tv, and there'll be a prayer request form there.
And we will call you back and we'll pray that prayer with you.
I want you to know you're not alone in this walk and in this journey.
DNA might make you try to feel alone or might try to make you feel isolated, but you're never alone.
You know, Mondo, in your faith journey, when you first really gave your life fully to Christ after living in East LA for many, many years, I guarantee you, but I'll let you tell it.
Did the devil try to make you feel alone?
Every single second.
Because when you put your identity in the past and you come out of the past not knowing what the now looks like, you feel alone.
But I feel like this is where brothers and sisters in Christ come in with Bible studies.
Amen.
Fellowship, going to church, staying engaged, staying involved allows you to grow and understand that you're not alone.
The devil wants to isolate you and keep you alone.
The Bible brings community.
The Bible brings people together.
It's the New Testament church.
When you fellowship together, you eat together, you pray.
My whole life, the first five years, was with a body of believers where we were together every single day, every hour of the day, watching for one another.
Amen.
That's what we need today, even more.
Social media is causing us to have disconnection like never before.
But this is why the church is always going to be the key to God's kingdom.
That's right.
We are the pillar.
I believe we are the foundation, friends.
We need to make sure that our foundation is set.
Because if you're a strong pillar, but you're on sinking sand, then friends, you're no pillar at all.
You must be rooted on the firm foundation that is Christ Jesus in Christ Jesus alone.
So call that number.
It's 1-888-9881-588 or go to ptl.tv or you can go to jimbakershow.com.
Pastor Josh, I want to say thank you for being on the broadcast with us over the last two shows.
It's been a blessing to have you here with us.
And hopefully we can have you back on sometime soon.
We have breaking news and other things.
We're going to call you up and see if you can Skype back in from or zoom in.
I guess we zoom now.
We don't Skype anymore.
Zoom back in from, I believe you're based out of Arizona.
So, praise God.
Yes, sir.
Amen.
That would be awesome.
I'd love to be a part of it.
Thank you so much.
Amen.
And, friends, if you're at home and you're going to work, or if you're coming home from work, or some of you watch this on Impact Channel, our new time slot is now 1 to 1:30 Eastern Standard Time.
If you're watching it during that time, maybe it's the middle of the day.
No matter what comes at you, no matter what trial or tribulation, remember this, because this is what will give you hope: that God loves you.
He really does.
Bye-bye for today.
Thank you.
