Live From Grace Drew

|
|
| Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show coming to you from the village of Morningside, USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. | |
| Join us as we look at today's news through a biblical and prophetic lens. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo Dele Vega. | |
| And now, live from Grace Drew at Morningside, USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Hello, friends. | |
| You're watching the PTL Television Network. | |
| You know, Mondo, some people may be wondering, where are you guys? | |
| Yeah. | |
| We're still on the set. | |
| We're actually just shifted over. | |
| I'm trying to figure out where am I. Somebody said we look too stiff at the main set. | |
| So we came over there on the couch. | |
| Yeah, they were talking about you, not me. | |
| I'm just kidding. | |
| But we tried to shift over. | |
| Yeah, Brooke put this set up. | |
| Yeah, Brooke designed it. | |
| I thought, hey, it'd be kind of nice to try it out. | |
| It's definitely much more accommodating than the other set. | |
| I would have had the orange couch here. | |
| Yeah, we need a Mondo set. | |
| It's a nice classic couch. | |
| Hey, shameless plug. | |
| Mondo show, the Mondo show is on the PTL television network. | |
| And then also you have a website where they can go. | |
| And if they want to look at that orange couch, they can look at it. | |
| You can go to themondo show.com and support me right there and continue to support the PTL network. | |
| That's what it's all about, man. | |
| It's just being able to do that. | |
| But I love this set. | |
| I love that we can be comfortable and get your coffee today. | |
| You're going to enjoy today's program. | |
| I'm going to sit back and listen to it because I want to learn about what the Lord is doing. | |
| Amen. | |
| Today, we're going to be playing some spots from a Sunday service that we just did this past Sunday where we announced a new church being birthed out of this area. | |
| And friends, we're going to go dive into Matthew 24 and then we're going to talk about what this new church is and what it's all about. | |
| But we're going to be diving into Matthew 24. | |
| I read the entire thing and you're about to be read the entire thing of Matthew 24. | |
| I told the church here, hey, if you're not a church who doesn't, you know, if you're not people who doesn't love the word at the church, then this probably isn't the church for you. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Because I read whole experts with friends, excerpts and friends. | |
| We want you to listen to what Matthew 24 is saying. | |
| Mondo, it's important. | |
| Dad has preached Matthew 24 for two decades now. | |
|
The Coming Master
00:15:39
|
|
| For over 20 years, he has been sounding the alarm. | |
| He is a watchman on the wall to say, friends, there is a storm coming. | |
| Jesus let us know what it would be right here in Matthew chapter 24. | |
| Are you prepared for it? | |
| So as we dive into this, I want to say thank you for listening, for really paying attention, having an open heart and an open mind for what you're about to hear. | |
| Because Matthew 24, Mondo, it's critical. | |
| It's important and it allows us to know the temperature of where we are today. | |
| It says here, the disciples came to him privately saying, Jesus, what will be the signs? | |
| A very legitimate question. | |
| A question I definitely probably would have asked him if I was with him. | |
| You said you're going to leave and you said you're going to come back. | |
| When is it that you're coming back? | |
| So watch this. | |
| I hope you're blessed by it. | |
| We'll come back and talk a little bit about it and then we'll have you watch part two. | |
| Friends, we're going to be opening up to Matthew chapter 24. | |
| And bear with me, if you're a visitor, we love reading the word of God here. | |
| So I'm going to do what I do in typical fashion. | |
| I'm going to read the entire chapter of Matthew 24 because I love the word of God. | |
| As Jesus left and was going out to the temple, I'm reading out of the CSB. | |
| So if it doesn't sound like you're King James, I apologize. | |
| His disciples came up and called his attention to its buildings. | |
| He replied to them, do you see all these things? | |
| Truly, I tell you, not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down. | |
| While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately and said, see, they wanted some secret information. | |
| They were about to ask a question they didn't want the masses to hear. | |
| Tell us when will these things happen and what is the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? | |
| A very legitimate question. | |
| Jesus said he's leaving and he's going to be returning. | |
| Do you have men who dropped everything to serve him? | |
| And they want to know, if you're going to leave, when are you coming back? | |
| And Jesus replied to them graciously, watch out that no one deceives you. | |
| For many will come in my name saying, I am the Messiah, and they will deceive many. | |
| You're going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. | |
| See that you are not alarmed because these things must take place, but the end is not yet. | |
| For nation will rise up against nation and kingdom against kingdom. | |
| There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. | |
| And all of these are the beginnings. | |
| Look at somebody and say, the beginning, the beginning of labor pains. | |
| Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and they will kill you and you will be hated by all nations because of my name. | |
| Then many will fall away, betraying one another and hate one another. | |
| Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many because lawlessness will multiply. | |
| The love of many will grow cold, but the one who endures to the end will be saved. | |
| Friends, that is you and I. I'm calling everyone in this room under the sound of this microphone, the hundreds of people who watch online, people who endure. | |
| Verse 14, this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place, let the reader understand, then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. | |
| A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house, and a man in the field must not go back to get his coat. | |
| Woe to the pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days. | |
| Pray that your escape may not be in the winter or on Sabbath. | |
| For at that time, there will be great distress. | |
| The kind that has not taken place since the beginning of the world until now and never will again. | |
| Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. | |
| But those days will be cut short because of the elect. | |
| And praise God. | |
| If anyone tells you, then, see, here's the Messiah over here, don't believe him. | |
| False messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. | |
| Take note, I have told you in advance. | |
| So if they tell you, see, he's here in the wilderness, don't go out. | |
| See, he's here in the storerooms, don't believe it. | |
| For as lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. | |
| Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather. | |
| Friends, this isn't text, but I'm about to tell you. | |
| I just want you to clarify. | |
| I'm separating myself from the text right now. | |
| Where their carcass is, the vultures will gather. | |
| Where there is something dead, the vultures will gather. | |
| Believer, I want to let you know right now, where there is a dead church, dead in the spirit, the vultures will gather. | |
| Friends, that is why we are alive in Christ. | |
| Friends, the vultures don't mess with what is alive and moving. | |
| Friends, we have to be in a live church for this reason right here. | |
| Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not shed its light and the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of heaven will be shaken. | |
| Then, look at somebody and say, then. | |
| The sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. | |
| He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet and they will gather his elect from the four winds from one end of the sky to the other. | |
| Friends, there's a lot that had to happen before it said, then he will come. | |
| There's a lot. | |
| Learn this lesson from the fig tree. | |
| As soon as his branches become tender and his sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. | |
| In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize that he is near at the door. | |
| Truly, I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all of these things take place. | |
| Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. | |
| Now, concerning that day and hour, no one knows. | |
| Friends, no one knows. | |
| If somebody claims to know, no one knows. | |
| If somebody gives you a date backed up by really hard dates and times and Jewish calendars, no one knows. | |
| The word of God is very clear. | |
| The word of God is very clear. | |
| We will have an idea of the season, but we will not know the month, the day, or the hour. | |
| Neither the angels nor the son, except the father alone. | |
| As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the son of man will be. | |
| And friends, it looks like we're living in those days of Noah again. | |
| For those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage until the day of Noah boarded the ark. | |
| They did not know until the flood came and swept them all away. | |
| This is the way the coming of the Son of Man will be. | |
| Two men will be in the field. | |
| One will be taken and one left. | |
| Two women will be grinding grain at a handmill. | |
| One will be taken and one left. | |
| Therefore, be alert, since you do not know what day your Lord is coming. | |
| But know this: if the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into. | |
| This is why you are also to be ready because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. | |
| Right here, last few verses. | |
| Then, who then is a faithful and wise servant whom his master has put in charge of his household to give them food at a proper time? | |
| Blessed is that servant whom the master finds doing his job when he comes. | |
| Miss Linda said it perfectly. | |
| She preached my whole sermon in a few moments. | |
| She said it even better than I did. | |
| Everybody has been given a job to do. | |
| And friends, it says right here, blessed is the servant whom the master finds doing his job when he comes. | |
| Truly, I tell you, he will put him in charge of all of his possessions. | |
| But if that wicked servant says in his heart, my master is delayed and starts to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, that servant's master will come on a day he does not expect him at an hour he does not know. | |
| And he will cut him into pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. | |
| Friends, right here, verse 48, if that wicked servant says in his heart, my master is delayed and starts to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with the drunkards, that servant's master will come on a day. | |
| He does not expect him in an hour. | |
| He does not know. | |
| Friends, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are a servant of Jesus Christ. | |
| Unequivocally, you are a son and a daughter, but we are called to servitude in the body of Christ. | |
| Friends, we have seen a church for far too long was servants beating one another with slander, with hate, with gossip. | |
| Friends, I look not to look the Lord in his face one day and be called a wicked servant because I couldn't shut my mouth. | |
| Because I couldn't help but get a good piece of juicy gossip I had heard from somebody in the other room out to somebody else. | |
| I refuse to beat a fellow servant. | |
| Why? | |
| Because friends, we all need grace. | |
| But a righteous man falls and gets back up. | |
| Friends, we need righteous men and women around us that will help us back up. | |
| Not post a picture and put it to Facebook and then after it takes off, we then have some remorse about it. | |
| No, friends, love covers a multitude of sins. | |
| And friends, we're a congregation who loves one another. | |
| We are a congregation who loves one another. | |
| I know that. | |
| I've seen it within you guys. | |
| I've seen you guys step up and take care of one another. | |
| I've seen you guys step up and care for one another. | |
| And I'm proud to be here with you guys because you are truly a people who loves. | |
| Out of all of Matthew 24, which if you know my father, he is the Matthew 24 man. | |
| I guarantee he's read it thousands and thousands of times. | |
| He's read it in the Greek and in the Hebrew. | |
| I'm not as good as he is, but I took his lessons. | |
| I broke down all everything he did, his 15 Revelation DVD series. | |
| I watched it a couple of times in preparation of this. | |
| Matthew 24, 14 says, this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all of the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| Friends, we all want the end to come, but there is a mission that must be brought to fruition before he comes. | |
| See, Christ seeks that not one person would be lost. | |
| He dropped every single thing he had, endured the cross, gave it all so that not one would be lost. | |
| As much as we would like it, and friends, I have made, you know, probably countless jokes about it saying, man, I wish the Lord would come back tomorrow. | |
| Sometimes I wish he come back this afternoon. | |
| There's days like that. | |
| Like, Lord, yeah, I was like, today's the day, Lord. | |
| Please let it come. | |
| But I realize that his delay is not a delay. | |
| His delay is mercy. | |
| His delay is grace. | |
| His delay is so that not one person would be lost, so that everybody has the opportunity to hear the gospel, so that everybody has the opportunity to crucify their old flesh, pick up their cross and follow him daily. | |
| We've turned that into a cutesy church phrase. | |
| I'm going to pick up my cross. | |
| I'm going to follow Jesus every day. | |
| Friends, if you are picking up your cross, you are headed to crucifixion. | |
| It's not a necklace we wear just for a fashion statement. | |
| It's not things we put on our shirts so that people don't have to guess whether we love Jesus or not. | |
| It is something we do to kill our flesh daily. | |
| Evangelism is a big check to see where your pride and ego is. | |
| The Lord checked me all the time with it. | |
| I'll be in the middle of a store, the middle of a drive-thru, in the middle of whatever I want to do. | |
| I'm busy. | |
| I don't have time for extracurricular activities. | |
| And the Lord says, stop what you're doing and speak to that person. | |
| And I said, well, Lord, they're surrounded by people. | |
| Well, God, they're the fast food worker and the drive-through. | |
| There's people behind me. | |
| The Lord says, well, I'm giving you an opportunity to exercise the muscle of obedience. | |
| And friends, as I've exercised that muscle more and more, he's given me more opportunity to do it. | |
| And I realized that I then therefore share the heart that he has, that not one would be lost. | |
| Now, friends, I don't have a perfect track record of this. | |
| There's been probably many times more than I could ever count where the Lord prompted my heart. | |
| The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, go speak to that person. | |
| And I did not do it. | |
| I've thought over and over countless times. | |
| My goodness, I hope they're still alive. | |
| And my goodness, I hope there was a fellow servant. | |
| who got the same prompting from the Holy Spirit and actually did it. | |
| Because friends, the Lord would see that not one person would be lost. | |
| We see in Matthew chapter 28. | |
| I hope I said that right. | |
| I think I did. | |
| Yep, Matthew chapter 28, verse 19, it says, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. | |
| And remember, I am with you always to the end of the age. | |
| See, friends, we often think that is the first time the great commission was ever said, but friends, it was the second time. | |
| Matthew 24, 14 was the first time he laid the foundation work for the great commission for his disciples. | |
| He said it very clearly. | |
| This good news, and friends, it is just that. | |
| Good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| See, friends, we must proclaim the good news of the gospel, and then we can make disciples. | |
| If the good news of the gospel is not first proclaimed, then you're making your disciples. | |
|
Mandate To Preach
00:14:16
|
|
| If the good news of Jesus is not the foundation, we're making our disciples. | |
| Friends, I don't want this church to have disciples. | |
| I want Jesus to have disciples that go to this church. | |
| I don't want Ricky to have disciples. | |
| I want Jesus to have disciples that Ricky gets the opportunity to walk alongside of. | |
| We want disciples, but we want true, believing, God-fearing disciples who have laid their foundation correctly. | |
| The good news of the gospel must be proclaimed first, friends, and then we can bring in disciples on a proper foundation. | |
| The world is in turmoil. | |
| We can see it. | |
| Everywhere we look. | |
| We have any news watchers in the house. | |
| Anyone watch the news? | |
| Everyone who didn't raise their hand, I know you have some peace in your life. | |
| Praise God. | |
| No, we have, Lord. | |
| We have peace that surpasses understanding. | |
| Come on. | |
| We see wars. | |
| We see economic instability, political corruption, moral decline, and an increase of natural disasters. | |
| I do believe this, friends. | |
| We have seen the Matthew 24 instances happen all over the world. | |
| We have. | |
| We have always seen wars and rumors of wars. | |
| We've always seen nations against nations. | |
| We have always seen earthquakes. | |
| We have always seen all of these things. | |
| So there would be an argument that Matthew 24 was relevant to another time period. | |
| But friends, we have not seen all of these things happening at the exact same time. | |
| That is why I believe we can watch the season closely and understand we are living in those days. | |
| We see a culmination of all of these events at the exact same time. | |
| That's why the Lord said, we will not know the day or the hour. | |
| And I can't stress that enough. | |
| We cannot know the day or the hour. | |
| But like wise farmers, we can see the season coming. | |
| You know, these are not random events. | |
| These are birth pains. | |
| We see in Matthew 24, verse 8. | |
| All of these events are the beginning of labor pain, signaling that we are in the final chapter before Christ's return. | |
| Friends, we've been feeling the birth pain. | |
| The church has been feeling the birth pains. | |
| The world has been feeling the birth pains. | |
| The economic systems have been feeling the birth pains. | |
| You know, many people in the church still ask today, are we truly living right here in the last days? | |
| But Jesus himself provided the ultimate sign. | |
| Matthew 24:14. | |
| This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| That is our ultimate sign. | |
| Is the gospel going out to all nations as a testimony to all people so that the end can come? | |
| See, this is not just a prophetic statement. | |
| It is a divine commission. | |
| You've been commissioned. | |
| You know that song of the children's song, I'm in the Lord's army. | |
| You've been commissioned. | |
| You've been drafted. | |
| I don't know what your job is. | |
| I pray you know what your job is. | |
| You train in that job every single day. | |
| Some are called to be pastor. | |
| Some are called to be evangelists. | |
| Some are called to be intercessor. | |
| Some are called. | |
| But I hope you know what your job is. | |
| And if you don't, I promise you, the Lord will make it clear what it is. | |
| Sometimes it's that thing you run away from the hardest. | |
| That's typically what the Lord will make your job. | |
| We all have that Jonah moment. | |
| Sometimes it's what you run away from the hardest. | |
| It is one mission for one church. | |
| You know, the word of God makes it very clear that Christ is coming back for a bride, one church, a unified body. | |
| He's not coming up for a leg over here and a leg over there and a head over here and a foot over there and some toes sprinkled across over here. | |
| It's one body all connected, unified. | |
| Until the gospel reaches every people group, the end will not come. | |
| So let's talk about the church's responsibility in these last days. | |
| This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed. | |
| This is Jesus speaking in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| We see in Revelation that John, when he was taken up and saw the vision, he saw a multitude that he couldn't even count from what? | |
| Every tribe, every tongue, and every nation. | |
| That's our mandate as a church. | |
| I love how you just ended part one: learning what the church's mission is going to be. | |
| Amen. | |
| Supposed to be. | |
| I feel like the church has gotten away from the idea of understanding what we're called to do. | |
| Yes. | |
| Because when someone doesn't know how to identify your role, that means your message is not getting across clearly. | |
| Yes. | |
| Because there's people out there that believe, they truly believe that the church has become a business. | |
| That's right. | |
| And if the church is giving the persona that we have become a business, then we have lost our mission statement. | |
| Amen. | |
| Tell me the mission statement 24, 14. | |
| What is the mission statement for the church? | |
| Amen. | |
| This new church, and of course, for the church. | |
| That's right. | |
| The mission statement is just this, that we will preach the good news and proclaim it in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end shall come. | |
| See, Bondo, a lot of people want the end to come. | |
| We hear a lot of people, you know, they say, well, I don't know, I'm pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, post-tribulation, wherever you lie on it. | |
| People say, well, I want, you know, there's days, Mondo. | |
| I want it to come tomorrow. | |
| I want it to come this afternoon sometimes. | |
| I say, Lord, if today's the day you rip through those great clouds and all your glory and say, rise up and come up and blow those trumpets, I'm ready for it. | |
| But we have a mandate that must be given. | |
| And this right here says, this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end shall come. | |
| A lot of people believe that God's delaying is God's forgetting or God's denial. | |
| God's delay is not his denial. | |
| Mondo, God's delay in this specific circumstance is his mercy. | |
| God's delay is his grace for a people to say, I'm going to give them as much time as possible to get right with the Lord. | |
| But, Mondo, during that time, it's not the church's job to kick their feet up and say, you know what? | |
| It's all good. | |
| I'll just let whatever happen. | |
| It's our job to get out there and preach the gospel. | |
| I'll say two things. | |
| I don't think he's delayed. | |
| Amen. | |
| Because he never gave us a time. | |
| Amen. | |
| That's right. | |
| So how can someone be delayed if they never gave you a time? | |
| Amen. | |
| Now, if I gave Ricky, hey, I'm going to start at 11 a.m. | |
| We're going to start the show and you're not here by 11.05, then you have delayed. | |
| He's calling me out. | |
| I usually think we have to change our vocabulary because he never gave us the time. | |
| Amen. | |
| And when he's coming back, so he's not delayed. | |
| He's on time. | |
| That's right. | |
| I stressed that so much. | |
| I said, hey, if somebody, and this was kind of a joke, I said, if somebody tells you the Lord's coming back this month, this day, this hour, I said, rest assured, you can know he's not coming back then. | |
| Because the Bible makes it very clear. | |
| We're not going to know the day. | |
| We're not going to know the hour. | |
| But we will know the season. | |
| We know the signs and the seasons. | |
| Amen. | |
| He's given us those signs and seasons. | |
| So, friends, this is the good news. | |
| You know, Mondo, a lot of times I've heard this and people say, well, Matthew 28, 19, that's the first time the great commission is preached. | |
| Yeah. | |
| I said, well, actually, it's Matthew 24, 14. | |
| It's the first time the great commission was given to his disciples. | |
| Because 28, 19 says, go out and make disciples of all nations. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| We need to be doing that. | |
| But here it says, the good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed to all nations. | |
| I said this here on our church service. | |
| You're going to watch this, but this is vital and it's important. | |
| And I want to say it again so you understand it. | |
| If I go try to make disciples before I preach the good news, I'm making Ricky's disciples. | |
| If I go try to make disciples before preaching the foundation of what Christ has done, then I'm making my disciples. | |
| And I said it very clearly. | |
| I don't want Ricky's disciples in the church. | |
| I don't even want the church's disciples in the church. | |
| I want disciples of Christ that go to this church. | |
| I want disciples of Jesus Christ that I get to walk alongside of and help undergird and support on their walk for Christ. | |
| Mondo, if we're going to go out and win disciples of all nations, we must first do what Matthew 24, 14 says to do and go out and preach the good news because that is laying the foundation work for discipleship. | |
| And this, what we're doing on this program is we're preaching the good news. | |
| That's this goal, right? | |
| Amen. | |
| And the goal for this program is to continue to outreach. | |
| And you're, listen, you are giving so we can give back with the word. | |
| You're giving financially, you giving with your prayers, and we give back with the studying of the word, by bringing people to the program, by offering products. | |
| You know, those are the ways that we can sustain what we're doing because, you know, it's amazing that we have to pay bills. | |
| It's amazing that we have to pay for airtime. | |
| It's amazing, but it doesn't happen just because it happens. | |
| It happens because we partner together to be able to fulfill the great commission, which is, of course, make disciples, but to preach the gospel. | |
| Amen. | |
| And God has used Christian television and now is using streaming platforms to be able to fulfill that mission and still using missionaries all over the world, still using evangelists, using pastors and teachers. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And guess what? | |
| This vehicle of television brings all those five-fold ministries into one place to continue to preach the gospel. | |
| That's right. | |
| Would you stand with us this month and say, hey, guys, I want to be one of those that can say, count me in and become a partner of this ministry. | |
| So together we can reach the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. | |
| And by doing that, you become a partner every single month. | |
| And when you become a partner of this ministry, whatever amount that you feel led to do, whether it be $5 a month, $10 a month, and if you can do $100 a month, pray about standing with us this month. | |
| We need your support. | |
| You know, Ricky, it's been very difficult the last few weeks, but God still has us here. | |
| He's still here. | |
| When it looks like, you know, we're not going to make it for the week. | |
| God has a way to prosper this ministry weekly and we continue to move forward, but it cannot be done without your help. | |
| Amen. | |
| Pray about supporting us this month. | |
| Call the number. | |
| It's available. | |
| It's toll-free. | |
| 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Or you can scan the QR code like Ricky loves to say and support this ministry. | |
| Help us throw the net out even more because not only can we do that with your help, but we're bringing men and women of God that sit on this program to help us understand about the times and the seasons. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, one exciting thing about this right here, Matthew chapter 24, verse 14, is this mandate wasn't given to angels and it wasn't given to church leadership, only prophets, only pastors, only teachers, only a certain group of people. | |
| This is a mission and a mandate for all Christians, all believers everywhere. | |
| Mondo, it's your responsibility to preach the gospel as much as it is my responsibility, as much as it is our producer Ben's responsibility, as much as it is the director's responsibility. | |
| If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, we are all equally responsible for sharing the good news. | |
| Now, some people may be called to the office of a pastor where you get to pour in to a congregation and God bless them. | |
| Some people may be called to be an evangelist where they get to go overseas or within our country and spread the good news on a more massive scale. | |
| But Mondo, it doesn't matter the size of the crowd. | |
| It matters. | |
| Are you doing the mission of spreading the good news everywhere? | |
| Watch part two of this message. | |
| We're going to come back and talk about it a little bit more. | |
| This mission doesn't belong to angels. | |
| That was my first point I wrote down. | |
| Friends, praise God it doesn't. | |
| Thank God he uses us. | |
| It doesn't belong to angels. | |
| It doesn't belong only to pastors. | |
| It doesn't belong only to missionaries. | |
| It doesn't belong only to evangelists. | |
| It is the responsibility of every single believer to fulfill this mandate. | |
| Matthew 28, 18 through 20, Jesus came to them and said, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. | |
| That is where we are right now. | |
| Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. | |
| Are we as the church actively engaging and participating in this mission? | |
| And when I say the church, I'm not talking about just the four walls. | |
| I'm talking about you, the temple of the Holy Spirit, the place where the Holy Spirit chooses to dwell. | |
| See, friends, the Old Testament had the Holy of Holies where only a single man at a time had the opportunity to go and interact with God face to face. | |
|
Gospel Call to Repentance
00:12:15
|
|
| The veil was torn upon crucifixion, and now the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. | |
| Friends, with the Holy Spirit living inside of you, that begs the question: are you living like the Holy Spirit inside of you? | |
| Are you fulfilling the mission which God gave us here in Matthew 24? | |
| The gospel is about Jesus Christ. | |
| At its core, the gospel message is Jesus Christ, his sinless life, his atoning death, and his victorious resurrection. | |
| The gospel isn't me, it's not you, it's him. | |
| And then thank God we're grafted in to the victory which he took on the cross. | |
| 1 Corinthians 15, 3 through 4 says, For I have passed on to you as most important what I have also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. | |
| That he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures. | |
| Friends, we have a more sure word. | |
| See, without Jesus, there is no gospel. | |
| There isn't. | |
| There is no good news without Jesus. | |
| Without his sacrifice, there is no forgiveness. | |
| And without his resurrection, friends, there is no hope. | |
| He hit the witting jackpot. | |
| We have it all through him. | |
| It's not our efforts. | |
| It's not our striving. | |
| It's not our good works. | |
| It is him and him alone. | |
| But friends, if we're going to preach the gospel, we have to preach the full gospel. | |
| The gospel is a call to repentance. | |
| It absolutely is. | |
| See, the modern world promotes self-sufficiency, tolerance of sin, moral relativism. | |
| But the gospel, the true gospel, demands a response. | |
| Repent and believe. | |
| Repent and believe. | |
| It demands a response. | |
| Matthew 4:17. | |
| From then on, Jesus, Jesus began to preach, repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near. | |
| See, repentance means turning away from sin. | |
| We see this in Acts 3:19. | |
| It means turning towards Christ. | |
| We see that in Romans chapter 9, chapter 10, verse 9. | |
| Excuse me. | |
| And friends, you know, I'm going to break away from this real quick. | |
| I know we live in a culture of hypergrace, where my generation believes in hyper grace. | |
| I can live any lifestyle I want. | |
| I can do anything I want. | |
| And Jesus will forgive me. | |
| Now, friends, I do agree with part of that. | |
| You can have had a horrible lifestyle before Christ, and he will forgive you. | |
| But when you come into the knowledge of Christ, what? | |
| Should we continue to sin so that grace can multiply? | |
| Absolutely not. | |
| James says it very easy, very simple. | |
| To know what is right and not do it is accounted to you as sin. | |
| Friends, we know what's right. | |
| We've been given a blueprint of what's right. | |
| We have to walk it out. | |
| But friends, he didn't come to affirm the brokenness in which we have. | |
| He came to redeem it. | |
| He came to fix it. | |
| Because I know we're all broken vessels. | |
| We are. | |
| All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. | |
| But when we are covered in the blood of Christ, God, through the lens of the blood sacrifice, doesn't see us as broken. | |
| He sees us as redeemed. | |
| He sees us as whole. | |
| He sees us as pure, as righteous, not through our own works. | |
| I can't stress it enough. | |
| Through the blood of Jesus Christ, the holy sacrifice of Calvary. | |
| You know, I couldn't make a point like that without backing it up with scripture. | |
| So we're going to back that up with scripture. | |
| Acts 2:38 says, Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, each of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. | |
| Acts 3:19 says, Therefore, repent and turn back so that your sins would be wiped out. | |
| Luke 5:32 says, I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. | |
| Luke 13:3 says, No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all perish as well. | |
| Mark 1:15, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. | |
| Repent and believe the good news. | |
| Revelation 2:5, remember then how far you have fallen. | |
| Repent and do the works you did at first. | |
| Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place unless you repent. | |
| Revelation 3:19, as many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. | |
| So be zealous and repent. | |
| For as many as I love, say love. | |
| If he loves you, what does he do? | |
| He rebukes you and he disciplines you. | |
| Believer, don't suppress conviction. | |
| Don't harden your heart to the Holy Spirit's rebuke. | |
| In the same manner that a parent disciplines their child because they love them, the Lord gave us that beautiful imagery. | |
| He will do the same for us. | |
| It is funny how we as parents, well, you know, some people don't spank their children, some people do spank their children, some people do time out. | |
| We all have different ways, but there is discipline nevertheless. | |
| Yet, when we are being disciplined by God, we say, Oh man, devil's doing one over on me right now. | |
| I'm fighting demons today. | |
| It's like, no, brother, no, sister, we're fighting the consequences of our own actions sometimes. | |
| We're fighting the consequences of what is called disobedience sometimes. | |
| We can't always throw it on the devil. | |
| We're giving that man too much credit. | |
| Way too much credit. | |
| Sometimes it's us, friend. | |
| But we have the opportunity to draw back to Christ with repentance. | |
| Acts 17:30 says, Therefore, having overlooked all the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent. | |
| This is the last one to prove that point. | |
| So, you know, this wasn't opinion theology. | |
| This is the word of God. | |
| 2 Peter 3:9 says, The Lord does not delay in his promise as some understand delay, but is patient with you. | |
| Praise God for God's patience. | |
| Not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance. | |
| Friends, there's a reason we say, Oh, I want the Lord to come back, like I said. | |
| But he's not delaying, he's patient. | |
| He's not delaying. | |
| He's merciful. | |
| He's not delaying. | |
| He's gracious. | |
| As much as we would all like it to happen tomorrow, think about the loved ones you have in your life. | |
| Think about your mothers and fathers. | |
| Think about your aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sons, daughters who don't know Christ. | |
| Will that change your perspective on him wanting to come back this afternoon? | |
| I guarantee you it would. | |
| That is eternal separation from them, friend. | |
| More so than you from them, that is eternal separation from them and God. | |
| Friends, we should be winning those within our family, winning those within our communities, winning those within our districts, winning those within our states, and winning those within our nation. | |
| I see a great majority of churches popping up, and I thank God that they pop up. | |
| And it is solely focused on their nations when their communities are hurting. | |
| It is solely focused on a global outreach, which is necessary, but their communities are dying. | |
| Friends, I promise you, the Lord would want you to take care of your neighbor. | |
| And your neighbor isn't the one who shares an address with you down the street. | |
| This is our neighborhood right here. | |
| This is the neighborhood God has blessed us with. | |
| So friends, we might not all be in the same cul-de-sac, but he has given us one another. | |
| And we need one another. | |
| And we need to hold each other accountable. | |
| The gospel is the power of God. | |
| See, the gospel isn't just words. | |
| It's supernatural power. | |
| This is supernatural power. | |
| It transforms hearts. | |
| It transforms minds. | |
| And it transforms entire nations. | |
| Romans 1.16 says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel. | |
| I am not ashamed of the gospel. | |
| I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. | |
| See, history proves this, friends. | |
| The early church thrived under Roman persecution. | |
| Read Acts 2 if you want to follow up on that. | |
| The Reformation changed the world by bringing people back to the Bible. | |
| Great awakenings revived entire societies. | |
| The underground churches in China, Iran, and North Korea are thriving despite immense persecution. | |
| See, the gospel sets captives free. | |
| And friends, we've all been a captive. | |
| It heals the broken. | |
| Friends, we've all been broken. | |
| And it brings light into darkness. | |
| Believer, we have all been dark. | |
| We have an urgency of evangelism. | |
| We absolutely unequivocally have an urgency of evangelism. | |
| The gospel must reach every ethnic group. | |
| See, the word nations in Greek, if we read here, it says nations will rise up against nations. | |
| The word Greek, nations in Greek is ethnos, meaning ethnic groups. | |
| It's not geographical borders. | |
| It's not America, South America, Mexico, Canada. | |
| It's not geographical borders. | |
| It is ethnic groups. | |
| The gospel must reach every tribe, every tongue, and every nation. | |
| Over 3 billion, that's with a B billion people have not heard the name of Jesus. | |
| They haven't heard the good and gracious and freeing and loving and powerful and almighty name of Jesus. | |
| And friends, it should be our passion to bring that message to them. | |
| Entire people groups remain in the dark because no one has gone to tell them. | |
| Revelation 7, 9 says, after this I looked and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language which no one could number standing before the throne and before the Lamb. | |
| The gospel requires messengers. | |
| Somebody look at your neighbor and say, you are that messenger. | |
| Romans 10.14 says, then how can they call on him if they have not believed? | |
|
Waging War Against the Enemy
00:10:46
|
|
| And how can they believe without hearing him? | |
| And how can they hear without a minister? | |
| Some translations say, how can they believe without a preacher? | |
| But friends, the preacher isn't the person that stands up here with the microphone. | |
| The preacher is anyone who will exercise the muscle of obedience and share the good and free gift that has been given to you. | |
| That is who the messenger is. | |
| Jesus commanded us to do it. | |
| But the question that I have for the church is, will we obey? | |
| And that's a question you have to ask internally. | |
| I can't make you obey. | |
| I could organize an event and get everyone in buses, take them all to Branson, put them downtown, Branson Landing, and say, everybody right now, go and share the gospel with everybody. | |
| You could just walk off and go in your favorite store. | |
| I can't force you to do anything, nor would I ever want to force you to do anything. | |
| I want you to have such passion and vigor for the gospel of Jesus Christ that you would do it without prompt. | |
| That you would just do it so that not one would be lost. | |
| To the end will not come until the mission is complete. | |
| People ask why Jesus hasn't returned yet. | |
| The answer is very clear. | |
| 2 Peter 3, 9, the Lord does not delay his promise. | |
| The Lord does not delay his promise. | |
| He promised us this would happen. | |
| He's not delaying it, friends. | |
| He's being merciful. | |
| Our responsibility in the last days is this right here. | |
| Matthew 24, verse 14, this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| Jesus is coming soon, but we are called to live a lifestyle as if he will return tomorrow. | |
| We're called to live that type of lifestyle. | |
| I would love to be an older gentleman, 90 years old. | |
| That's where I have to start putting my older gentleman gap now. | |
| I said older one day and I was like, I'd love to be old one day, you know, 40. | |
| Somebody got really upset with me. | |
| So I bumped my age group up to 90 years old. | |
| I'm playing with you. | |
| That was a bad joke. | |
| I'm going to get some letters for that one, Theron. | |
| I'm going to get some letters for that one. | |
| Yeah, that's right. | |
| I will say this real quick, side note, this is the youngest church. | |
| I'm not talking about age, but you guys are filled with energy for the gospel of Jesus Christ. | |
| You're filled with energy to see the nations one. | |
| You're filled with energy to see this community have a place to have the intimate relationship with Jesus Christ that they need. | |
| I want to say this is an energetic church, an on fire church. | |
| And this is a church I think really do, really does fulfill what Jesus has called us to do for the gospel reaching the ends of the earth. | |
| We must rise up and proclaim the good news with urgency. | |
| Friends, I want us to make a commitment together as a church, a corporate commitment. | |
| You need to make it individually, but I believe there is power in unity. | |
| There is power in the body of Christ agreeing on something together. | |
| And we'll make the commitment that we will commit our lives to fulfilling Matthew 24, 14. | |
| That this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. | |
| So, the question I want you to ask yourself is: will I take up the call? | |
| Will I fulfill the mission? | |
| Because, friends, once you give God your yes, he's going to get you on that road. | |
| You're going to be handed your spiritual weapons. | |
| Hopefully, you already have your full armor of God on every single day, as we see in Ephesians chapter 6, ready to wage war spiritually against the enemy because we do not wage war against flesh and blood. | |
| We're not waging war against your neighbor. | |
| Friends, we are waging war against powers, cosmic rulers, dark forces. | |
| It's the enemy. | |
| It's the devil. | |
| Our general and mutual enemy, Satan, and his kingdom of darkness. | |
| The reason we wage war against them is because he is taking those who belong to Jesus. | |
| That is why we waged war so that Christ can have everything back he paid for on the cross. | |
| We need to rise up and proclaim the gospel until the whole world hears. | |
| I don't know if we have it. | |
| I think we do, Mondo. | |
| His revelation revealed series. | |
| Yeah, we do. | |
| We still have his revelation revealed series. | |
| You can go watch it for free on the network. | |
| We play it periodically, but also you can get the hard DVD set. | |
| That is the most comprehensive and well-done revelation series that I have ever seen. | |
| And Mondo, we've watched quite a bit of them. | |
| But he dives into Matthew 24. | |
| Word for word. | |
| Amen. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| Get your Bible out. | |
| Get ready to study the word because it's going to give you an insight. | |
| And grab, listen, you know what happens when you study the word and you've read the same words over and over? | |
| A new revelation takes place. | |
| Amen. | |
| Because the world is expanding with new technologies and new information. | |
| And when you put what's happening now next to the word and then studying the word with Pastor Jim, you can call the number to order the, I think it's 28 lessons. | |
| I think so. | |
| And over 30 hours that is filled with graphics and videos and even breaks it down into Greek. | |
| And it gives you, again, information that I don't think you've ever heard, but order it today for, I think it's for a donation of $100 to the ministry. | |
| That's right. | |
| You can watch that Revelation Revealed series. | |
| Mondo, I'm going to read right here. | |
| I know we read it at the beginning of this, but I think it's important. | |
| Matthew 24, verse 32 says, learn this lesson from the fig tree. | |
| This is Jesus speaking. | |
| As soon as its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. | |
| In the same way, when you see all of these things, which they are talking about in Matthew 24, that's going to be the wars and rumors of wars, nations against nations, earthquakes in various places, you know, persecution, killing. | |
| All of these things take place. | |
| Truly, I tell you, oh, excuse me, in the same way, when you see all of these things, recognize that he is near at the door. | |
| Truly, I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place. | |
| Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. | |
| Mondo, we don't know the day or the hour, nor have we ever claimed to know the day or the hour. | |
| And friends, if I ever say, I know the day or the hour, kick me off. | |
| Get a different host. | |
| I'll tell you right now, you have full permission. | |
| There is no one in the world, not even the sun, who will know the day or the hour. | |
| But God's good enough, and he knows we're a curious people. | |
| So he gave us the season. | |
| Wow. | |
| I'm curious about this. | |
| So it says, now concerning that day, an hour no one knows, neither the angels. | |
| Amen. | |
| So if you have those people that say angels came and visit me and showed me the day and the hour, that's a lie. | |
| That's a demonic spirit that is visiting you. | |
| That's right. | |
| Can I say that clearly? | |
| Well, that's what the word of God says. | |
| Exactly. | |
| I'm saying that. | |
| No one, neither the angels of heaven nor the son. | |
| So even if you say Jesus himself told me the day and the hour, that's a lie. | |
| And there's a demonic talk that you're talking right now. | |
| Only the father. | |
| Only who? | |
| The father. | |
| Oh, man. | |
| This is so biblical because there are things that me as a father don't even tell my own son about certain things because he's not ready for. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| The information that God gave us through his word is because he's protecting us even to understand the times and the seasons, but to understand why he did not disclose the very hour of that day is so critical. | |
| I don't think it's there by accident. | |
| No, not at all. | |
| You know, it says, as the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. | |
| Before those days, before the flood, they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah boarded the ark. | |
| Until the day he boarded the ark. | |
| So they have had, you know, some scholars say it took hundreds of years. | |
| Some say it took 70 years, whatever, 120 years to build the ark. | |
| It took an average, let's say, of 100 years. | |
| The 100 years, the people around Noah saw him building an ark and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. | |
| And they went on, Mondo, about their day-to-day life, doing whatever it is that they wanted to do until the day he boarded that boat. | |
| Wow. | |
| That's the culture we're seeing right now. | |
| Verse 42 says, therefore, I'm skipping. | |
| Please. | |
| Therefore, be alert. | |
| Amen. | |
| Since you don't know that, since you don't know what day your Lord is coming. | |
| That's right. | |
| Therefore, be alert. | |
| Amen. | |
| Why do you think he said be alert? | |
| Because he wants us to know the season. | |
| He wants us to know when it is. | |
| You know, the Bible says clearly, if a homeowner knows what day the thief's coming, he'll make sure the doors are locked. | |
| He'll make sure that the, you know, batten down the hatches. | |
| He'll make sure everything's good. | |
| It says that. | |
| It's why we're also to be ready because we don't know which day. | |
| You know, Mondo, when you go home at nighttime and you're with your family and you have your two young children at home with you, do you make sure your doors are locked at night? | |
| I know you have a security system. | |
| You make sure all the cameras work. | |
| You make sure everything's good to go for your family's security because you don't know if there would ever be an incident like that. | |
| Listen. | |
| And you have to be prepared. | |
| That's what we're facing in this area. | |
| We face tornado threats constantly. | |
| That's right. | |
| And last night we were under tornado threat. | |
| And the moment I woke up, I received that alert and I immediately began to do my checklist. | |
| I got my generators ready, got my food ready, got my waters ready just in case. | |
| And all of a sudden, I started doing what my wife and my kids expect me to do, and that is to take care of them. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| We on this program want to take care of you. | |
| And how do we do that? | |
| Making sure you got enough water prepared, making sure you got food prepared, making sure you have your generators. | |
|
Elevate Your Life with Nitric Oxide
00:03:49
|
|
| It's just a reminder that if you're not ready yet, then order food today. | |
| Order your water today because the suddenlies are going to take place. | |
| But if you know this time and the season, every time the time and the season for tornadoes that are going to hit this area, I can tell you that there's a lot of people that get ready and are prepared. | |
| That's right. | |
| If you haven't got prepared, if you don't have your list, go to the website, jimbakershow.com and find what things you need in order to start getting prepared. | |
| Don't be afraid. | |
| Let your faith just build everything around you and know that God is going to give you wisdom in this season. | |
| Amen. | |
| This is how you go to continue to help us support the gospel being preached around the world through these affiliate programs, through your donation, through your monthly giving. | |
| I want you to watch something from one of our sponsors who helps us continue to broadcast the message of Jesus Christ around the world. | |
| Take a moment and watch this. | |
| If you have a heart, you need nitric oxide. | |
| Even the University of Florida called nitric oxide the spark of life in the cell. | |
| This miracle molecule is essential for cardiovascular health, improving blood flow, lowering blood pressure, and boosting your energy. | |
| So what it does, it's balancing the neurotransmitters. | |
| It's increasing blood flow throughout the body. | |
| It's protecting you from the number one killer of everybody, which is cardiovascular disease. | |
| With Cardio Miracle, you're unlocking the potential for extraordinary health and vitality. | |
| Again, we have to feed our brains. | |
| And so this not only feeds the brain with the appropriate ingredients and nutrition, but also the blood flow. | |
| You know, for instance, you out there, you know, when you stand up and you get dizzy and you feel like you want to fall, especially the older population, we have hip fractures and things. | |
| It's because we're not getting enough of the hydration that we need. | |
| So the water, but also the blood flow dynamics shift over time. | |
| And so the nitric oxide helps to even that out because you're getting the nutrition you need. | |
| And again, the nitric oxide and getting that blood flow, the pressure head of blood to your brain. | |
| Take it before your workout, take it after your workout, receive the benefits. | |
| It's amazing. | |
| Cardio Miracle is a winner and it's worth a try. | |

| Wow. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, Mondo, this allows us to continue to broadcast the gospel. | |
| I've had a lot of friends too, you know, because I went to college, joined the Army, came home, and they said, Ricky, why do you do what you do? | |
| You know, why the products? | |
| Why not? | |
| I said, brother, because we believe in preparing people spiritually first and foremost, but also physically. | |
| We want people to live the best life that they possibly can right now. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| I know you have a testimony of Cardio Miracle, my mother-in-law. | |
| She takes it every single day, another testimony, but we do it because they help us continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. | |
| Friends, we want to say thank you to watching the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Thank you for supporting the PTL television network. | |
| Thank you for being a part of this family so that we can continue with your help to preach the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. | |

| Whether that be through monthly support, a single donation, or supporting the affiliate programs that we have partnerships with, I want to say thank you. | |
| You are the reason we get to do what we do right here. | |
| So thank you, Mondo. | |
| We can never thank him enough. | |
| And anytime we talk to Pastor Jim, he's saying, make sure you thank the partners. | |
| That's your friend. | |
| He loves you guys. | |
| He cares for you. | |
| It's why he's continued to preach the truth for 20, how many years now? | |
| 25 plus years after prison. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| Amen. | |
| Friends, we love you. | |
| We want to say thank you for supporting this broadcast. | |
| You guys are the reason we get to continue to do what we do here. | |
| I want you to never forget this, that God loves you. | |
| He really does. | |
| Bye-bye for today. | |
