Standing in Faith
00:11:14
|
|
| Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show coming to you from the village of Morningside USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. | |
| Today our special guests are owners of Ark and Loom Seeds Morgan and Alex Mitchell. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Monte La Vega. | |
| And now, live from Cray Street at Morningside, USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Hello, friends. | |
| You're watching the PTL Television Network. | |
| We're glad you tuned in with us today. | |
| We don't want you to miss this broadcast. | |
| It's going to be full of really Mondo practical things and which are going to help the believer in their everyday life. | |
| We're talking from the word to, you know, real life things that we can do to help our families ensure that we are sustainable. | |
| You know, the more I'm researching news, the more I'm realizing that the time to be prepared is yesterday. | |
| That's the truth. | |
| Not now, but yesterday, because things are happening. | |
| And the key is this, that if you're not ready, then it's going to be too late by the time something happens and you want to have things in order like a garden. | |
| A lot of people don't talk about that until something happens. | |
| But when you look at the price of eggs, have you been shopping lately? | |
| I have. | |
| Oh, my goodness. | |
| Actually, the place we shop too, they're limiting the amount of eggs that you can buy. | |
| You can only buy two dozen at a time, which my family goes through a lot of eggs. | |
| We do too. | |
| And it's costing over $10 for a dozen of eggs. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| Soon, things are going to change and it's not going to be pretty. | |
| But yet, the Bible has a warning. | |
| The Bible has always letting us know to be prepared. | |
| And I believe that today's program is one of those programs that is going to be a reminder of it's time to plant your garden. | |
| Amen. | |
| Friends, I want to start off by reading the word of God to you. | |
| If you have your Bible at home, open up to Romans chapter 8. | |
| And we're going to be reading out of verse 31 right here, friends. | |
| This is Romans chapter 8. | |
| It says right here, what then are we to say about these things? | |
| If God is for us, who can be against us? | |
| This is what I preached on on Sunday, by the way. | |
| If he did not spare his own son, but offered him up for us as well, how will he also not grant us everything through him? | |
| Who can bring an accusation against God's elect? | |
| God is the one who justifies, who is the one who condemns. | |
| Jesus Christ is the one who died, but even more, God has been raised. | |
| He also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us. | |
| Who can separate us from the love of Christ? | |
| Can affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? | |
| As it is written, because of you, we are being put to death all day long. | |
| We are counted as sheep to the slaughter. | |
| Friends, this is why I really want you to pay attention to this passage right here. | |
| Romans chapter 8, verse 37. | |
| Know in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. | |
| For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. | |
| Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. | |
| Friends, if you're watching at home and you feel like God has abandoned you, he has forsaken you, he is no longer with you. | |
| Just know that nothing can separate the love of God from you, friend. | |
| It is a tactic of the enemy to try to isolate you, to try to make you feel alone, to try to make you feel like you're not wanted. | |
| But believer, I want to encourage you in this. | |
| There is no created thing and everything that exists is created by the hand of the Father. | |
| There is no created thing that can separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, the love that was given to you through the sacrifice of the cross, friends. | |
| I want to encourage you with that, encourage you with that today. | |
| You know, Mondo, a lot of people say, well, I can turn on the news and I can see that there's affliction, there's distress, there's persecution, there's famine, there's nakedness, there's danger, there's, you know, martyrs being martyred in different countries. | |
| Hundreds of Syrians just died for the cause of Christ just a few days ago. | |
| But nothing can separate us nor them from the love of Christ. | |
| The faith that it takes to believe that scripture becomes real when you are in the middle of an affliction of your own. | |
| That's right. | |
| I looked at the news the last couple of days. | |
| Let me read it to you. | |
| Christians in Syria slaughter in their homes. | |
| That's right. | |
| It takes a lot of faith to be a Christian in the Middle East. | |
| It takes a lot of faith to be a Christian when you're broke. | |
| It takes a lot of faith to be a Christian and you're persecuted. | |
| It takes a lot of faith. | |
| Listen to what we're saying. | |
| The faith that it takes in order to understand that passage that you just read becomes real. | |
| Yes. | |
| Why? | |
| Because when you are against affliction, when you and the culture are fighting against one another, when you and your family members are fighting on what's right, what's wrong, it's going to take a lot of faith during this time to believe the gospel. | |
| That's right. | |
| And if the gospel is true, if the gospel is real, if the death of Jesus, and by the way, we're getting close to celebrating one of the greatest moments in a Christian's life. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| It takes a lot of faith to believe that he's resurrected from the dead. | |
| That's right. | |
| Yep. | |
| Easter Sunday is coming up soon, which by the way, if you're here in the area, Blue Eye, Missouri, we're going to be opening up our new campus for our church, Easter Sunday. | |
| It's going to be our first Sunday there. | |
| It's going to be very exciting. | |
| Come join us to be in church. | |
| But Mondo, you're right. | |
| It takes faith. | |
| The walk in which we have is truly a faith walk. | |
| There's a lot of questions. | |
| I mean, Wando, you're constantly pouring over the news. | |
| You're constantly, you know, seeing what lines up with biblical events, what's happening around here. | |
| But it takes a lot of faith to see what's happening around the world and say, I'm going to stay true to the word of God, even whenever there's a lot of deception, even in our news. | |
| You know, what's incredible is that we're going to be talking about the seeds, but it makes me think about the mustard seed of faith. | |
| Yes. | |
| And when you plant a seed, you have to have a lot of faith to believe that what you're planting is going to grow. | |
| You got to have a lot of faith to believe that what you're praying for is going to come to pass, even when things don't look good. | |
| It makes me think about what happened with Job. | |
| Yes. | |
| You got to be careful who's around you, even about who's married to you, because they want you to curse God and die. | |
| And some of you are praying for a miracle, but maybe your spouse is telling you to give up on God. | |
| You've been praying for too long. | |
| You've been sowing a seed for too long. | |
| You've been standing in faith for too long. | |
| It's not working. | |
| Walk away. | |
| But I want to tell you something. | |
| Don't move. | |
| The Bible says this, that when you've done everything you can, you stand. | |
| You stand in faith. | |
| You stand in prayer. | |
| You stand believing that your miracle is around the corner. | |
| We speak that in faith, but that's why a lot of people get mad because we stand on faith. | |
| Amen. | |
| It's an incredible thing that we have been given is the gift of faith. | |
| You know, Wando, we have a conference coming up. | |
| And this right here, there's some topics we're going to be covering that it really does take faith in Jesus Christ to be able to get through some of these things. | |
| Oh, boy. | |
| We had someone asking, say, why such a bold statement at the very beginning? | |
| You know, it's aliens, AI, and the Antichrist. | |
| Because friends, we live in a world where there are hard questions being asked right now. | |
| And the only ones answering it is the non-biblical worldview. | |
| It's the world. | |
| The world's answering all the questions of aliens. | |
| I mean, the history channel has been answering it for decades now. | |
| AI is now a really looming thing that is happening. | |
| You know, people are saying it could be the thing that destroys humanity. | |
| And the question that's been happening since Jesus Christ left and ascended into heaven, descended the Holy Spirit. | |
| He gave him to us is, is the Antichrist alive during our time period. | |
| Friends, we're going to be asking the hard questions and getting these hard questions answered from subject matter experts. | |
| I want you to watch this, and we're going to talk about some of the people we'll have here at our Ready Now Expo 2025 Aliens, AI, and the Antichrist Conference. | |
| Is the Antichrist alive right now? | |
| Because when he comes, he's coming. | |
| It's just people have all been prepared. | |
| The hearts are ready, all prepared for his revelation. | |
| Will artificial intelligence control our lives? | |
| With artificial intelligence, we are summoning the demon. | |
| Are aliens real? | |
| And have they already visited our planet? | |
| We're entering a period of great uncertainty where we're dealing with things we've never dealt with before. | |
| The one that controls AI has enormous power over everyone else. | |
| The world is changing at a rapid pace. | |
| And the biggest questions of our time demand answers. | |
| Why the secrecy if it's really no big deal and there's nothing there? | |
| Why hide it? | |
| Join us for Ready Now Expo 2025. | |
| Aliens, AI, and the Antichrist, April 10th, 11th, and 12th. | |
| Where faith, preparedness, and revelation collide. | |

| Don't miss this powerful event featuring event speakers, prophetic insights, and groundbreaking discussions that could reshape the way you see the future. | |
| Are we entering the final frontier of humanity? | |
| Very soon, we will be beyond the God of the Bible. | |
| Register today for our Ready Now Expo, Aliens, AI, and the Antichrist at www.readynowexpo.com. | |
| Friends, sign up ReadyNowExpo.com. | |
| You can go sign up if you're going to be here in person. | |
| It's an absolutely free event. | |
| And we also have an incredible lineup of people. | |
| As you can see right there, we have Ellie Marzuli, Bishop Alan DeDio, Joe Horn, Dave Robbins, Vicki Joy Anderson, Carl Gallups, Dr. Dennis Lindsay will be here. | |
| Derek and Sharon Gilbert, Donna Howell, and you know, Joe Horn, which I'm excited about because he's the son of the late, great Tom Horn, who wrote Mondo, some of the most incredible books about the Antichrist, some of the most incredible, informative books about the Roman Catholic Church and the popes. | |
| I mean, you've read Petra Schimanis, I believe. | |
| That's a book about this thick, too. | |
| But he's an incredible. | |
| His son is going to be coming and doing his first outside of Skywatch TV conference. | |
| And what I love about this is that all of the people that are going to be speaking or sharing, they don't all agree with each other. | |
| They don't. | |
| I love that. | |
| And I want to hear the conversations. | |
| Some of them believe in aliens and what it means through the Bible. | |
| Others don't believe in aliens. | |
| So I want to see what the conversation is going to look like because I know you're having those questions and you're, you know, talking like this with your family and your friends, maybe in your Bible study. | |
|
Heirloom Seeds Kit Revealed
00:10:05
|
|
| A lot of you have studied, you know, Genesis. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| Until several years ago, no one was talking about Genesis 6 until now. | |
| What does it mean, the Nephilim? | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| There's a lot that goes behind the scenes in the scripture that when you put it back into context, there's a reason why Jesus in Matthew 24 emphasize Noah, emphasize certain things in the Bible because he puts them back into context. | |
| And we have to break that down so we can help you. | |
| And pretty much you're going to help me understand the book of Revelation a little more. | |
| That's right. | |
| We're bringing all these people here because I have questions I got to ask. | |
| I'm going to get some answers. | |
| Friends, we have Morgan and Alex Mitchell with us. | |
| They are the owners of Ark Heirloom Seeds. | |
| You know, they started ARC 16 years ago from a little 12 by 12 garden bed, and now they are bringing this product around the world. | |
| Really, they're helping people start a sustainable and healthy lifestyle in their own backyard. | |
| So, I want to say thank you guys for being on the broadcast. | |
| Thanks, Morgan. | |
| Great to be here. | |
| Great to be here. | |
| So, tell us, if somebody has never heard of ARC heirloom seeds, tell us about the journey that began to start what you guys call ARC, which actually stands for something as well. | |
| So, tell us about that. | |
| Yeah, well, I'll start. | |
| It starts, it stands for agricultural seed kit. | |
| And it's a play on what you were just referring to, Mondo. | |
| ARC. | |
| We feel it's important for the days of head: self-sustainability, self-reliability. | |
| And this is one component for us, a very important component, which is to the ability to grow your own food. | |
| Where things are going will probably, well, arguably one of the most important things. | |
| So, well, Alex can tell you a little bit more about our history. | |
| Yeah, we've shared a little bit. | |
| I think this is maybe our third or fourth time on the show with you guys. | |
| And so, if it is a repeat, sorry about that. | |
| But we would just a little bit of history. | |
| It was about almost, I don't know, 18 years ago now. | |
| And I was just had our, we had our first daughter. | |
| She was one. | |
| We were in the backyard of our garden, and I just wanted to be able to, you know, grow a little garden for our family and take care of our food source. | |
| And I realized that, you know, it was really important the different types of seeds to use to start with. | |
| So I just was kind of experimenting growing tomatoes and cucumbers and beans, just keeping it really simple. | |
| And we decided to just use heirloom seeds, which at the time, there were only three other companies that I could even find to even order heirloom seeds from. | |
| And I didn't even really know what heirloom meant, the different types of seeds. | |
| And so I just went on this journey of growing the best type of produce we could. | |
| Little did I know that it would turn into a business 18 years later. | |
| And we are growing our seeds now and sending them all over the world. | |
| So what's unbelievable is that you guys are offering over 50,000 seeds on this package that we're going to be talking about today. | |
| What is the difference between regular seeds and heirloom seeds? | |
| What's because most people don't know now, most people, meaning the people that are not used to gardening? | |
| People like me. | |
| I had no idea what it meant until you guys came for the first time. | |
| Yeah, so that's our, he's talking about me. | |
| We like to call them God seeds because they have the ability to reproduce after their own type and kind. | |
| Even in the introduction, you guys were talking about the coming conference. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Well, the first real prophecy about our Messiah, Jesus, comes out of Genesis 3, and it talks about the seed of God coming. | |
| Well, Jesus is an heirloom seed. | |
| He's the natural seed, but he has the ability to reproduce, which is the church through his spirit. | |
| And I'm getting into spiritual. | |
| Let's go back to the practical. | |
| Heirloom seed has the ability to reproduce after its own type and kind. | |
| Other seed might reproduce one year like hybrid. | |
| If you have a hybrid seed, you're crossing two different it's hybridized, it's two different varieties into one seed. | |
| And you may get one year after that. | |
| After that, you can't take the seed or harvest the seed and regrow it like an heirloom seed. | |
| So another word that people use for heirloom is heritage. | |
| It's old. | |
| It's been around for a while, meaning 200 years ago, we had maybe the same variety of seed. | |
| One great thing, I'm kind of getting ahead of myself, but a great thing about heirloom is it's withstood drought, it's withstood blight, it's withstood disease for those hundreds of years. | |
| So it already has genetically inherently in it the ability to go through hardships, if you will. | |
| But the main thing is this: it can reproduce. | |
| So, if you, Ricky, if you harvest, if you grow a tomato, you cut that tomato in half and you pull the seeds out, you dry them, you can pass them along to a neighbor and they can grow tomatoes. | |
| It's not going to regrow a vine with nothing on it. | |
| And right now, it's about 3% of the seed in our nation. | |
| The rest is GMO or hybrid. | |
| So, only about 3% of seed is heirloom. | |
| I think I might preach that on Sunday. | |
| We got too many hybrid seed Christians not producing. | |
| You got to be an heirloom seed, Christian, friends. | |
| You might hear me preaching. | |
| Why are you looking at me when you say that? | |
| We got too many hybrids. | |
| Hey, you know, that's a good word. | |
| I'm glad you got into the spiritual application of it too, because that is so true. | |
| You know, when we become believers, friends, we are seed of Abraham. | |
| You know, it's a blessing, friends. | |
| We obviously know clearly from reading the word of God: Jesus came first for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. | |
| But you and I, believer, get to be grafted in. | |
| We get to be called brothers and sisters. | |
| We get to be called joint heirs to the throne. | |
| I'm glad you took it there because it's so true. | |
| We are supposed to be like heirloom seeds, those legacy seeds. | |
| And, friends, when you have legacy in Jesus Christ, you have everything you need. | |
| I promise you. | |
| I think this is a wonderful product because what you guys are doing is creating sustainability. | |
| We've seen, actually, if you look on social media, grandparent, you might be watching this, parent, you may be watching this. | |
| You know, they're banning now dyes and certain foods. | |
| It's great. | |
| They're wanting to go more to sustainable eating. | |
| Parents are now reading the backs of labels to ensure, you know, can I understand the thing in which I am feeding my child? | |
| Well, with this, we know for a fact what they'll be getting because you guys clearly label it. | |
| You know, you said there's 50,000 seeds on here. | |
| How many different varieties will come? | |
| I know we have two different packages. | |
| We have, you call this the backyard kit. | |
| Yep. | |
| And then you call this one the all-in-one. | |
| All-in-one. | |
| So can you kind of give us a breakdown of what is the difference between these two packages right here? | |
| Sure, Alex, start that one. | |
| There you go. | |
| The gold package is actually our backyard kit that has 30 different varieties and about 20,000 seeds. | |
| Okay. | |
| And so it's a good, good one to start with if you just are wanting the basic varieties. | |
| It has six herb varieties inside of it. | |
| It's incredible. | |
| And so it just has a smaller quantity. | |
| Our all-in-one kit tube is actually designed to store for over 15 years. | |
| So that's one thing that's really highlighted about it: the way that it's stored in the tube. | |
| It also has 50,000 seeds and over 70 varieties. | |
| So in the tube, we also include 16 different types of herbs, medicinal herbs, culinary herbs. | |
| So we really encourage everyone with that one is to learn how to also make your own medicinal medicines, tinctures, teas, you know, herbal healing remedies, which also includes our seed guide that I wrote that comes along with the tube. | |
| So that'll help you along the way. | |
| You know, Monte, I was just watching on the internet the other day. | |
| I was watching a video from a man that I'm subscribed to. | |
| I was enjoying it. | |
| And he was talking about the issue of bartering. | |
| And he was talking about, you know, some things that are valuable bartering. | |
| And he stopped and he goes, you know, I'm going to say something that I've really actually never talked about before. | |
| When he talks about bartering, he talks about having like hearty, sustainable things, beans, right, you know, things like that to be able to barter with. | |
| But he goes in the middle of the video, he goes, you know what I just thought about? | |
| He's talking to his wife. | |
| I never thought about this, but people are really going to be wanting seasonings. | |
| And he was telling his wife, he's like, we should probably start stocking up on seasonings. | |
| I was thinking, I was looking at this list of things you have in the backyard to EK Mono. | |
| They have dill, oregano, parsley, chives, cilantro, basil. | |
| I'm telling you, believer, you're only going to eat bland food for so long. | |
| I'm telling you, you're only going to eat very bland food for so long. | |
| It's good that they have a variety in these packages. | |
| What's happening right now? | |
| I am a witness because I'm doing it myself where there's a lady here in Blue Eye that she's giving us eggs in exchange for a different service. | |
| You know what I mean? | |
| And the service can be sometimes go take out the trash, or you know, I mean, simple things that this lady can't do. | |
| Well, I know how to take out the trash really good. | |
| I've been trained for 20-something years. | |
| You're doing it for 20 years. | |
| So, mom trained me well. | |
| My wife is training me well, and now my daughter is training me well. | |
| But I want to tell you something: we are living in a time where people are looking into ways of savings. | |
| But you may have seeds at home that maybe you're not using, but you can exchange them for eggs. | |
| I mean, we is that crazy to think like that, guys? | |
| No, I'm so glad you brought this up because we didn't. | |
| I don't know if we've ever shared this. | |
| One of the reasons we started ARC was my family member, my sister, had a dream. | |
| And in the dream, this would have been how many years ago? | |
| It's 18. | |
| 18 years ago, she had just come to faith in Jesus, rededicated her life to the Lord. | |
| And in the dream, it was at night. | |
| She knew it was apocalyptic. | |
| It was the end times. | |
| And she was in an alley. | |
| And she said, It was like my old days where I was dealing. | |
|
Why Seeds Could Be Currency
00:03:41
|
|
| She said, This time I was dealing, but I had something in my pocket. | |
| Wow. | |
| And I pulled it out and I couldn't see it. | |
| And the guy she was exchanging with said, Can I see him? | |
| And she dropped three beans into his hand. | |
| And he said, So these will reproduce. | |
| And she said, Yeah. | |
| And he dropped three silver coins into her hand and they parted ways. | |
| Wow. | |
| And she woke up. | |
| And that was actually one of the things that propelled us into researching seed and heirloom seed. | |
| Because she knew in the dream, it was the end of how we do the economy right now. | |
| And she was bartering seeds for silver, which is so interesting to relating to what you were just talking about. | |
| We believe very strongly, and we've heard a lot of other voices that seeds could very realistically become a form of currency. | |
| You know, if our current economy or how we exchange money or goods or services changes, which I think it will, and I'm sure you guys do as well, seeds could become a currency. | |
| That's right. | |
| Everyone who watches this, I assume you guys believe the Bible, right? | |
| Whatever it says, we believe what it says it's going to do. | |
| You know, I'm taking right there, you know, we see in Revelation chapter 13, a beast system come into play. | |
| And I've heard people say, well, it's metaphorical, Pastor. | |
| Not going to happen in our lifetime. | |
| Not going to happen within our generation. | |
| It's metaphorical, this mark of the beast. | |
| Friends, if the Bible says that there will be a mark that is taken, then I believe there will be a mark that is taken. | |
| We are truly the first generation ever that can actually see the possibility of something like this happening. | |
| A global identification system, a global religion, a global one-world government, a global currency. | |
| Friends, I believe that we are the first generation to see all these things in the player. | |
| Mondo says right here, Revelation chapter 13, it's the beast coming up from the sea. | |
| That is what this is. | |
| But it says right here, it was permitted to give breath to the image of the beast so that the image of the beast could both speak and cause those whoever would not worship the image to be killed. | |
| And it makes everyone. | |
| Everyone is everyone, friends. | |
| Everyone. | |
| This is talking a global event right here. | |
| Whether you are small and great, rich and poor, free or slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, the beast's name, or the number of its name. | |
| Friends, that's why we believe in preparation. | |
| Friends, if it's not for you, it's for your children. | |
| It's not for your children, it's for your grandchildren. | |
| Why not be generationally prepared to say, you know what, we're going to start now to ensure that the next generation is set so that if there is a global system that says, hey, if you want to buy or sell, if you want to go to the comfort of a big box store, if you want to go and enjoy the amenities of life, it's simple. | |
| It's a simple procedure. | |
| It's just a quick thing in your wrist. | |
| It's a quick identification mark on your forehead. | |
| No big deal. | |
| Friends, we know very clearly that the mark of the beast is a very real thing. | |
| It's a very real global government in which it's going to try to come and take over one world religion as well, one currency. | |
| Friends, we need to, as believers, ensure that we don't have any reason to even consider something like the mark. | |
| That's why we believe in preparation. | |
| It's why we've done food for two decades now. | |
| Listen, selling preparation food, selling water, selling seeds, that has not been all sunshine and rainbows for this ministry. | |
| We have come under a malicious attack. | |
| We've come under a lot of name slandering online saying, oh, you know, they're doomsday preppers. | |
| Friends, I'm not preparing anybody for a doomsday scenario. | |
|
Preparing for Uncertainty
00:08:41
|
|
| I'm preparing you so that you can have faith and comfort in your home to make sure your family is secure. | |
| Because when I'm not prepared, I get anxious. | |
| Yeah. | |
| I do. | |
| In the military, when I knew I wasn't prepared for something, I would be riddled with anxiety. | |
| I'd be riddled with anxiety. | |
| But when I knew I had trained for something, I had prepared for something, I was ready for whatever mission may be thrown at my direction, I could walk into that circumstance with full confidence and full ability to know I can do what I need to do well. | |
| And Mondo, I've seen a lot of this generation riddled with anxiety, riddled with fear, because they don't know what's coming around the corner. | |
| America, first world nation, greatest country, I believe, in the entire world, we have the highest rate of food insecurity that we've ever had. | |
| It's because people can't afford going to the grocery store anymore. | |
| If someone were to get something like this, Mondo, and we've been preaching this for a long time, it doesn't have to be, I mean, this is my question to you. | |
| Does it have to be like a massive, elaborate setup to be able to start growing? | |
| Or can I just do this with a you know, a four by four, eight by eight box in my backyard? | |
| Yeah, I would encourage you at home that start somewhere. | |
| So if you've never planted a seed in the dirt before, just you know, it's trial and error. | |
| So you're going to, you know, try, you're going to make mistakes, you're going to succeed. | |
| That's what I did 18 years ago when I started. | |
| And I would just encourage you to grow the things that you enjoy to eat. | |
| So you don't need to grow 70 varieties starting out. | |
| I never did that. | |
| I started with five or eight varieties of, you know, things that we like to eat, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, the really simple things, and start from there. | |
| But to add on to what Ricky was saying, I think it's really important to not wait until something or a disaster is happening. | |
| Really like start practicing now and get good at the skill. | |
| So again, if you know, because of the price of eggs right now and everything, if everybody's thinking, oh my god, we got to go out and get chickens. | |
| We need to get chickens because we need eggs. | |
| But if we would have done that a couple years ago in preparation for it, then you would know how to take care of chickens and then you would have eggs. | |
| It's the same thing with gardening. | |
| So if you practice now and give it a year or two or three under your belt, and then you get through those, you know, times where you might mess up or screw up or something like that. | |
| And then you get really good at it. | |
| And then you just keep growing and learning with it. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, we believe in the preparation message. | |
| Many, you know, I'm a first-generation farmer. | |
| That's what I keep telling people. | |
| I got a farm. | |
| It's not a big farm, but it's enough to sustain myself. | |
| And I believe a hefty community around me. | |
| We have, we raise sheep. | |
| We have cattle for raw milk and cattle for beef as well. | |
| I'm still waiting on my stuff. | |
| I was going to say, I haven't got the money yet. | |
| I'm just kidding. | |
| That's the bartering system. | |
| But you know what? | |
| We just have this fenced off area as well where we just got it finally finalized. | |
| We've let our cows be in there for a while so they're getting the ground nice and fertilized. | |
| But that's going to be our garden area. | |
| And it's about a 60-foot long by 30-foot long. | |
| And I looked at it and I said, oh, it's kind of big. | |
| And I thought, I'm not just trying to feed myself. | |
| No. | |
| I'm not. | |
| I was thinking me. | |
| It's kind of big for just me and my family. | |
| But when I take my church into account, when I take the little kids and whom we have, you know, a big kids' ministry, and I look at all them and think, what if they were hungry? | |
| Would I be able to feed them? | |
| Would I be able to help sustain them? | |
| That's what's like, well, maybe it's not big enough. | |
| Maybe I need a little bit bigger. | |
| Maybe I need more sheep. | |
| Maybe I need to get more cows for more milk. | |
| But I think, you know, Mondo, we have been solely focused on ourselves for a really long time. | |
| We have it really good here in America, but I think it's time we start thinking outside of our own families, even and say, how could I benefit my community? | |
| Even a community garden. | |
| That's what I think when I think of this. | |
| 50,000 seeds, Mondo, a community garden to feed not just you, but your church as well. | |
| We have to come to a Habakkuk moment where you write the vision down, make it plain so when others read it, they can run with it. | |
| And I want to tell you, every pastor that is listening to this program right now, put in your vision board a garden for your church. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| People are going to start coming in and you're going to start attracting the community because there's a group of people that are on the rice right now that call themselves the homesteading groups. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| They are going to be one of the most powerful people in the times to come. | |
| That's right. | |
| Why? | |
| Because the homesteading community is growing by the thousands. | |
| Stay-at-home moms are getting into it. | |
| They are realizing that the times are changing and yet we don't have anything to be accounted for when it comes to our food. | |
| When you look at the offer today, you're looking at about 50,000, especially with this one right here. | |
| 50,000 seeds. | |
| Can I just read some of the seeds? | |
| Because I know you got something to say, but you're going to get about 200 seeds, Brussels sprouts. | |
| That's a lot of Brussels sprouts. | |
| I love Brussels sprouts. | |
| You're going to get over 50 summer squash, 65 seeds, sugar pie pumpkin. | |
| Ooh, that sounds good already. | |
| 200 sugar baby watermelons. | |
| Oh, mccantaloupe, bell peppers, habanero peppers, cayenne pepper, which I think you had it right here. | |
| And just actually, I want to put that in my pocket actually. | |
| Look, I got to make sure he doesn't take them, but you're going to get that. | |
| You're going to get beets. | |
| That's about 500 beets. | |
| I mean, I can go on and on. | |
| Maybe we can put it on the screen. | |
| Let's put the whole list. | |
| You need to understand that you're not just getting 100, you're getting 50,000. | |
| Why 50,000? | |
| That's a great question. | |
| So, when it comes to the all-in-one kit, it's important to understand why we made it specifically the way it is. | |
| Yes. | |
| It is made for someone to buy, put it on the shelf, use it sometime, but have it for exactly what we're referring to. | |
| If there's some type of grid-down scenario, this is the perfect kit. | |
| And I'll tell you why. | |
| We spent hundreds of hours researching every type of plant, every type of herb that's out there, specifically for medicinal use, calorie-dense density, everything that would be nutritionally valuable. | |
| Because a lot of what we noticed is some companies out there where they're selling kits, survival seed kits or whatever, and it was all lettuce. | |
| Well, try to survive on lettuce for a week. | |
| I mean, you'll die. | |
| I mean, it's got zero calories, no nutritional impact at all on the body. | |
| And so, we spent hundreds of hours researching every type of seed that we thought would be important if something was to happen. | |
| We put them in one kit, meaning the most calorie-dense foods we could grow are in there. | |
| The most medicinally beneficial. | |
| So, you mentioned about seasoning, Mondo. | |
| The all-in-one kit has an entire herb garden included. | |
| Amen. | |
| There's how many varieties? | |
| 16. | |
| 16 varieties. | |
| And you put those together. | |
| There's culinary and medicinal herbs. | |
| So the herbs that are in there, that was very specific that we chose all of those. | |
| And so the all-in-one kit, we obviously sell the backyard kit, but we really try to hit home the all-in-one kit because of everything that's inside of it. | |
| Lots of calories. | |
| So if something happens, you've got squash, you've got corn, you've got multiple variety of beans. | |
| So you're going to have a lot of calories, which is obviously very important. | |
| I mean, you've got broccoli, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, kale, eggplant, cucumbers, mustard seeds, turnips, radish, spinach, red onions, yellow or white onions. | |
| Got to catch my breath. | |
| Beets. | |
| Kayan, again, this is something that is unheard of. | |
| I don't think I've ever seen over 50,000 seats all in one package. | |
| And then when you look at this one right here, you got 20,000 seeds. | |
| So you're not losing either way. | |
| If you can't afford the big cajun over here. | |
| That's right. | |
| I know you can afford this one right here. | |
| In just a moment, we're going to show you how to plant some seeds. | |
| Maybe I can get Ricky over there. | |
| Oh, that'd be good. | |
| You know, dirty his suit a little bit. | |
| I do get dirty quarterbacks. | |
| I'll go attend to my sheep in my seat. | |
| I'll go tend to the sheep in my seat. | |
| I don't really care. | |
| My wife tells me I got to stop wearing my nice clothes out there. | |
| What are you doing? | |
| Sometimes you got to go hug a sheep in your seat. | |
|
Food for Faith
00:02:20
|
|
| You know, this is incredible. | |
| I think this is important because I want to see a church that is prepared. | |
| That's been our heart message. | |
| Our heartbeat of this ministry for 20 plus years is now a prepared church we know is a confident church. | |
| And a confident church can go out and win souls. | |
| That's the ultimate goal of all of this. | |
| Why do we do this? | |
| Friends, we want you to be here as long as you possibly can so that one more person can be brought into the family of Christ, so that one more family member can be brought into the family of Christ. | |
| You know, Mondo, we did inner city mission work as well, and you've been involved with people like Troy Brewer who do inner city mission work. | |
| And a lot of the time, people are brought into the faith because they were brought in for a meal. | |
| Yeah, that's it. | |
| Food is the key. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| We talk about it all the time, but you were reached by food. | |
| That's right. | |
| That's right. | |
| I started reaching people through the food program that we had at the Dream Center. | |
| Then when I joined this ministry 27 years ago, we continued that mission. | |
| Everywhere we went, we had a food bank. | |
| We had something to give to people, and people were lining up. | |
| I remember being in Florida. | |
| I think it was Panama City, Florida. | |
| And I was assigned to the food program. | |
| I didn't have any help. | |
| Nobody wanted to volunteer. | |
| So I got the kids in the neighborhood. | |
| And after school, they will line up about 50 kids. | |
| And then 100 parents came and then 200 parents, then 500 parents every single day lining up. | |
| But before we gave the food away, we gave the message of salvation. | |
| And we got a lot of people saved and baptized, but they went home with food. | |
| That's the key. | |
| I believe that this is the hour the church must remain vigilant and understand you don't have to have a mega church, a mega ministry. | |
| It can be a stay-at-home mom and begin a Bible study and teaching the word. | |
| How about just you visiting different organizations that are around your neighborhood and just talk to them and pray for them? | |
| And you know what? | |
| Bring the good news. | |
| And the good news of the gospel is almost never rejected in America. | |
| Almost never. | |
|
Planting Seeds for Change
00:15:29
|
|
| It's not a guaranteed. | |
| But when you walk in with food, they're not going to reject it. | |
| I can tell you that much. | |
| What if you give somebody this for their birthday? | |
| Christmas. | |
| For Christmas. | |
| I mean, I want to tell you something. | |
| I know it seems dumb and all that, but I can tell you that if you walk in and you deliver something that can be a life-changing moment for them by a gift, this is something that not only you're going to bless them, but you're going to help us continue to do what God has called us to do. | |
| Call the number today, 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Or better yet, go to the website, jimbakershow.com and visit our affiliate page with RXCs. | |
| You guys have been amazing people. | |
| Thank you for supporting us and bringing the very, the very, very best of what you guys do. | |
| So I want to ask a practical question. | |
| Why would someone choose Arc seeds over another seed kit company? | |
| Well, that's a great question. | |
| I think, one, I hit actually. | |
| A lot of seed companies that are out there are promoting themselves as preparedness seed companies. | |
| And if you look at the ingredients, there's, let's say, 10 varieties or 20 varieties, zero calories. | |
| So they're not actually built. | |
| They're built to make money, not to serve people. | |
| I hate to say that, but it is true. | |
| And so our seed kit, all of actually the backyard and the all-in-one is going to have beans. | |
| It's going to have corn. | |
| It's going to have squash, all calorie dense, and not as cheap. | |
| I'll just say that. | |
| Those are all the most expensive varieties. | |
| And all of our kits have a very large quantity. | |
| So a lot of times people say, well, geez, that's kind of expensive, our asking price. | |
| But if you go and you buy, let's say, a thing of corn seeds at the store, you'll have. | |
| $10. | |
| It's $10 and you got 10 or 20 seeds in there. | |
| Well, that's not going to cut it. | |
| So we have 400 or 500 of each type of corn in each packet. | |
| So we have a large number of seeds. | |
| We did that intentionally. | |
| We want people to be able to make mistakes and get out there and practice. | |
| And also because if you have a kit for five years or whatever, germination rates may start to go down. | |
| We want to make sure that people have what they need. | |
| You know, one of my favorite things is this. | |
| And once you finish, I want to tell you something. | |
| Most people don't have, like myself, have the knowledge, let alone the wisdom to understand how seeds work. | |
| Amen. | |
| But you guys have done a tremendous job with this booklet right here. | |
| This is life-changing. | |
| You guys have included this. | |
| This is priceless. | |
| I will pay just to get this book because I want to tell you something. | |
| You want to learn about each seed, how you can cross them together and what they do with each other. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And understanding when is the right time for tomatoes? | |
| When is the right time for corn? | |
| I know you're smarter than most people give you credit for, but I want to tell you something. | |
| Most people don't understand there's a season for everything. | |
| Sounds biblical. | |
| How does that work? | |
| Why is this booklet so important as part of the offer here today? | |
| Well, a lot of the seeds that you do get today don't actually include any type of planting guide to start with. | |
| So if you've never put a seed in the ground before, it will take you from start to finish, all the way to the very end process, where if you are harvesting echinacea and you want to actually make your own tincture to help with your sick child or your sick husband, it actually will take you step by step through that process to be able to make your own medicine. | |
| I would say the one other point that sets us apart from other companies is when we started 18 years ago, there was three seed companies. | |
| Now there's over 50. | |
| And I can't tell you how many calls we get on a regular basis from people who are buying seed kits on Amazon. | |
| They're 30, $40 seed kits, and none of their seeds have germinated. | |
| And I always ask, well, where is the origin of your seed? | |
| Do you actually know where they come from? | |
| And if you search it back and actually find a lot of these seed kits now companies that are in existence, seeds are coming in from China and other places. | |
| And I could say 100% with certainty that all of our seeds are grown in the U.S. | |
| And they're all grown organically. | |
| So we have a, you know, they're all certified to grown that way. | |
| And so that would be another reason that sets us apart from a lot of other companies. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And maybe, babe, could you mention a little bit more about this? | |
| The seed guide. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Because she put this together. | |
| It really is remarkable. | |
| Maybe mention about zones or companion planning. | |
| Because talking about the zoning is so important, but you also talk about the maturity levels, some 85 to 110 days. | |
| Therefore, if I plant it today, I'm not waiting. | |
| How come it's not growing? | |
| But you give us really a depth of knowledge. | |
| So talk about it some more and then we'll get some planting going on. | |
| Yeah, there is, I mean, included in here is a zone map. | |
| So I think that's, you know, as far as depending on where your zone is, you can be able to tell what time of year you plant because we're in northern Michigan. | |
| So, you know, we plant, we start planting right about now, like early March, early April in a greenhouse. | |
| But if you're living in Arizona, you know, you've already, you could plant a month ago from now. | |
| So you want to base everything on, you know, the zone map here. | |
| There's also a recipe that I've included in here that I highly recommend for to start your seeds in. | |
| So it's going to give your plants the best, healthiest start with the amendments and the soil mixture that you need. | |
| There's also a planting schedule. | |
| It's really small here for the screen, but this will give you like, you know, when do you start the bean and how deep do you plant it and how far apart do you plant it? | |
| And again, it's for those who have never done it. | |
| And some of you even watching are probably more advanced than I am. | |
| And you could probably teach me something. | |
| So we learn all the time. | |
| But yeah, this, this just, you know, took hours and hours and hours to put into. | |
| We really wanted to include it for if you're a beginner or if you're an expert from start to finish. | |
| My real passion is to be able to help people take the corn seed and go from start to finish where you actually at the end of it being able to harvest your own corn seeds yourself. | |
| That's incredible. | |
| So that's incredible. | |
| So you are almost guaranteed that Ricky and I can have a green thumb. | |
| We are. | |
| I don't know. | |
| That's a scratch. | |
| I've grown some things out of this seed. | |
| We got it for Christmas and we were able to grow some things. | |
| So we got it for Christmas two years ago. | |
| We did this plan. | |
| And we want you to get one today. | |
| Call us today, 1-888-988-1588. | |
| And put your call in today. | |
| Get your order in place. | |
| You don't want to miss the season to start planning and start having fun. | |
| Can I say that again? | |
| Start having fun. | |
| Some of you need to de-stress and need to smile some more. | |
| You know, make it a date with your spouse, make it a date with your grandchildren and just talk about life and talk about the memories and start laughing. | |
| I want to tell you something. | |
| I am amazed how many Christians don't like to laugh. | |
| I'm amazed how many Christians have not smiled since 1973, someone said. | |
| But I want to tell you something. | |
| The gospel is the good news. | |
| When you talk about revelation in the news, it's about building your faith. | |
| When you talk about the events that are happening, the events that are coming, you shouldn't get weary and stressed and fear. | |
| You should be thanking God that those are the signals that the king is coming back. | |
| Amen. | |
| And he is Coming back soon. | |
| Mondo, I think you said you wanted to go over there and plant some seeds. | |
| Let's go over there. | |
| I think that'd be fun. | |
| We're going to walk over and play cue the Wheel of Fortune music. | |
| While you do that, we want you to go to the website, jimbakershow.com, and visit the affiliate page of the ARC seed and make sure that you order several. | |
| That's going to help us to continue to stay on the air. | |
| And really, we're doing it for you. | |
| This great people have done an amazing job to put this together for all of us. | |
| And we're going to walk you through the process. | |
| Well, they're going to walk us through the process of how to get started. | |
| Oh, here, we'll let you guys in the middle. | |
| And so, I just want you just to show us. | |
| You can pick any variety in which you want. | |
| But if somebody was starting for the first time, they had a garden bed, let's say it was this small, because I know people who have got the backyard seed kit, and this is kind of what they can start off with because they don't want to start off with something too big. | |
| Or they live, I know one person bought it, they live in an apartment complex in Dallas, but their porch is always sunny. | |
| So they're saying, Hey, can I start here? | |
| And I said, I think you can start pretty much anywhere. | |
| But if someone was in a situation like that, kind of what would be the process? | |
| They've built their box or they've purchased a box, they've put some soil in it. | |
| So, what would they then do with this? | |
| Is there specifics on what they need to do, or is there anything that they would need to plant and not plant with each other? | |
| Yeah, I think actually the first really important point that I would bring up if you are planting in a smaller space like this is vertical growing. | |
| So, you don't actually need like acres and acres and acres of land to be able to grow a ton of food. | |
| So, if you think of it, where you know, if we were to plant a tomato plant here and a pepper plant, they're going to grow, you can grow them as tall as 10 feet. | |
| So, as long as you give them a trellis and something to grow on, you can be able to get 50 tomatoes off from one plant. | |
| So, you don't have to think like, oh, I need to fill this whole box and be able to have five tomato plants in order to have enough for my family. | |
| You could grow one tomato plant and one pepper plant and have plenty enough pepper and tomato for yourself. | |
| All right, show us. | |
| Let's jump that this is the oh, no, you're good. | |
| This is the trellis here. | |
| Okay, yeah, I mean, this could go, yeah, you could even go. | |
| Oh, so it could climb. | |
| Yeah, it can climb up. | |
| Very cool. | |
| Um, as long as you have something like if we're, for example, here, we're about to plant a tomato seed. | |
| So, do I need to plant it at the base? | |
| Do I need to plant it in a starter, you know, like a little starter kit like this, or can I just put it straight into the ground for its germination time? | |
| You can do either. | |
| So, again, back to our little map that was in our book. | |
| It depends on the time of the year. | |
| So, again, we're from Michigan. | |
| We're in zone four. | |
| So, if I was at home right now, I would be doing what Mundo's doing and planting in a little cup with soil and a tomato in our greenhouse because right now it's too cold to plant outside. | |
| Yes. | |
| So, I'm going to be taking a tomato seed. | |
| And how deep do we go? | |
| One thing: what if someone doesn't have a greenhouse? | |
| What would you recommend? | |
| Yeah, just on your windowsill. | |
| So, inside, just on the right seeds. | |
| Inside on the windowsill where it's somewhere warm, you're going to have a lot of light. | |
| So, this is one technique: starting just in a pot. | |
| You can also start outside, but I would recommend that later in the season. | |
| Okay. | |
| So, if you're taking tomatoes, is what we're talking about here. | |
| So, you're going to take one seed. | |
| Sometimes I even recommend planting two because, again, if you end up, if both sprout, that's fine. | |
| And you can spread them apart and you can have two plants. | |
| But it also laughing because it makes me think of mom when we were trying to teach her how to do it. | |
| She was dumping the seeds. | |
| She was dumping 10 seeds, 20 seeds into one thing. | |
| I'm like, no, what are you doing? | |
| Yeah, that is true. | |
| I've done that before. | |
| And you know what? | |
| Once they sprout an inch or two, you can actually pull them all apart and then spread them out and have multiple plants. | |
| So here, I'm going to grab two little itty-bitty tomato plants or seeds here. | |
| And we're going to probably, I would say, like a, I always do about a fingernail deep. | |
| So you don't want too much deeper than that, just and make sure that they're going to germinate. | |
| So about a fingernail deep, and then you just cover them up lightly. | |
| You don't need to push them down too deep or anything like that. | |
| In the windowsills or the windowsill. | |
| One thing I want to say about watering, because that's a technique, obviously, you can kill your plant if it's underwatered or overwatered. | |
| So when it comes to watering, it all depends on like, you know, how much sunlight and how hot it is too. | |
| So if it's getting really dried out, you're going to want to water that plant there probably morning and night. | |
| If it's not super hot or sunny, then maybe just once a day. | |
| How much water, though? | |
| Oh, I would say for a pot like that, maybe, I don't know, half a cup of water, something like that. | |
| And another good trick with these is set these on some type of tray. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Oh, okay. | |
| That's waterproof, a small tray or in a bowl. | |
| And then you just put the water in the bowl and the plant will suck up whatever it needs. | |
| It'll just naturally do it. | |
| Yep. | |
| That's incredible. | |
| So I think this is important, Mono, to let people know you can have, like you said, you can have acres of land, but also you can do this on your apartment, you know, your balcony that you have out there. | |
| We've seen people do all of it. | |
| It's just about how creative you want to be. | |
| And that's why there's two different varieties. | |
| They have the all-in-one kit as well as the backyard kit. | |
| Absolutely. | |

| We want you this season to become a farmer. | |
| Start gardening. | |
| And I think it's so key. | |
| Morgan, this is so critical. | |
| I keep thinking about our families. | |
| I keep thinking about the information that is coming out in the bioengineering of letters, the bioengineering of radish, the bioengineering of so many different things. | |
| It's no wonder. | |
| I'm just allegedly put it out there. | |
| People are getting sick. | |
| Yeah, most of our food is illegal in many parts of the Western world. | |
| I mean, the majority of what we call food right now is illegal all across Europe. | |
| So that should be a sign what GMOs have done to the human body. | |
| We don't know. | |
| But we can reverse that. | |
| We have prayer. | |
| We have Jesus. | |
| We have the Holy Spirit living in us. | |
| We have a prayer life. | |
| We have the Word of God. | |
| And we have good, healthy food. | |
| I did want to mention one more thing. | |
| Let's say your tomato that we just grew in this one is about this tall. | |
| What do you do? | |
| So you have a box. | |
| All you have to do, it's this simple. | |
| Just dig out the space for this. | |
| Okay. | |
| Literally, put it down in there and fill up around it. | |
| Wow. | |
| And these are great because they're biodegradable. | |
| Yeah, these pots. | |
| The roots will shoot right through them and your tomato is going to grow right up. | |
| Wow. | |
| And then you just get some type of a trellis. | |
| You can get a steak. | |
| You can get a cage, a rake. | |
|
Discipling and Companion Plants
00:08:14
|
|
| Just get anything. | |
| And then that leaves so much more space. | |
| Again, if you have a small area, it leaves so much more space to be able to grow multiple different things. | |
| I know our time is running away from us, Ricky, but what can we do? | |
| What seeds go good together? | |
| Great question. | |
| Well, our original Indigenous peoples here had an amazing group called the Three Sisters, and it was beans, corn, and squash. | |
| The corn acts as the trellis naturally, and the corn and squash grow up around it. | |
| They're companion plants, so they complement each other. | |
| That'd be huge. | |
| We're big on that one because it's calorie dense. | |
| And a lot of people, maybe they don't like squash, but most people like corn. | |
| And beans you can use in so many varieties. | |
| And in a spot like this, I would fill in, like do your main, like say my main vegetables that my family likes is cucumber, tomato, pepper, and squash. | |
| Okay, so say I have like one plant in each corner. | |
| Then I would fill in the other little holes around with the herbs because what the herbs are going to do is help deter the pets, the pests, and any other type of, you know, like squirrels or anything that's going to try to come. | |
| They don't like a lot of the herbs and the smells. | |
| And so then you can fill in the holes and you could actually get quite a bit planted in a small space. | |
| You know, I was reading this and you guys actually have the guide to how to harvest the seed from the plant in which you just grew. | |
| So this isn't just saying, hey, buy the seed kit, use the seed, and then you're done. | |
| You're saying that we can actually take the seeds from the plants which we grew and harvest them. | |
| Yeah, it's not actually the best business model. | |
| That's an honest business model. | |
| We want to encourage people to grow and then harvest and give their seeds away. | |
| That's a good thing. | |
| I think it's so important. | |
| So that's why it's important. | |
| One quick example on that, because a lot of people love this story, but there's about 300 corn seeds that we offer, right? | |
| So the one year we planted all of them. | |
| So we had 300 different corn stalks. | |
| And when it came time to harvest in the fall, we pulled all the corn stalks out and probably three to four cobs on each corn stalk. | |
| And they were dried. | |
| They weren't young anymore, soft. | |
| So they were dried. | |
| We took, and our kids, we did this with our kids. | |
| We laid out a huge tarp on the ground and we took all the cobs and we just, you just do this kind of with your hands that all the corn falls off it onto the tarp. | |
| Guess how much, how many seeds we got from these? | |
| I couldn't even guess how many. | |
| Five, five-gallon buckets. | |
| So just from 300 seeds, you got five, five, five, five. | |
| And so we have chickens and cows and sheep and all the animals and stuff. | |
| So if you're trying to grow, even do it for your own food, I mean, it's, it's a really great concept. | |
| All I'm thinking is sermon, sermon, sermon. | |
| I'm preaching all this stuff, Jesus. | |
| Because when you have to maintain it, you mean you think about discipling. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And you're discipling your seeds and you're spending time with them and you're watering them. | |
| You're taking care of them. | |
| You're making sure that nothing is infecting them. | |
| No one's robbing them. | |
| This is a great time. | |
| I love teaching my son and my daughter about life. | |
| I think they get tired of me, but I know that it's working because they're about to be 15 and they love Christ. | |
| They love Jesus with all of their heart. | |
| But it's that time where you can sit around and teach the word while you're planting seed. | |
| Because I want to tell you something. | |
| We are the church. | |
| We have to take care of one another. | |
| And today we want to encourage you to just be reminded that God loves you so much and He wants to disciple you. | |
| He wants to walk with you. | |
| He wants to heal your pain. | |
| He wants to restore you. | |
| Don't give up on God. | |
| You know, we multiply, Ricky. | |
| Every time he disciples us, we're multiplying and love and grace and just helping people develop. | |
| What I keep thinking right now is the fruit of the Spirit. | |
| Don't just count on the gifts of the Spirit. | |
| You have to have the fruit. | |
| Come on, preacher. | |
| Come on, that's right. | |
| Amen. | |
| The gifts of the Spirit mean very little if you don't have the fruits of the Spirit. | |
| You know, if a pastor, preacher can go up and pray for somebody, ears are open, that's a wonderful miracle. | |
| But if that same pastor is mean to his congregation, they probably won't think much of him. | |
| Friends, you have to have the fruit of the Spirit. | |
| One of those things is also self-control. | |
| We don't talk about that quite a bit, but friends, it's important that we as the church understand that we are the lighthouse for the world. | |
| It's not the White House that's going to save people. | |
| It's the lighthouse, friends. | |
| We have to point people to the cross, point people to Jesus. | |
| It's why we do what we do. | |
| Mondo, I believe, like you were saying, this is important. | |
| You have to nurture this in the same capacity we nurture our faith. | |
| We nurture those around us. | |
| You know, the Bible doesn't say go out and make converts. | |
| Go out and make disciples. | |
| Go out and make disciples. | |
| So, I want to encourage you, Pastor, this could be a good way to help that discipleship program. | |
| Start a community garden in your church. | |
| Bring people in, disciple them. | |
| Take this because, you know, sometimes the gardening, I'll go out there and I think, oh, it'll take me, you know, three minutes to go out and do this. | |
| I'm there for 30 minutes. | |
| It's a good time then to have the conversations that you normally wouldn't have been able to have, to have those deep moments that you wouldn't have been able to normally have with your spouse, with your children, with other members in your community. | |
| I think it's a great team-building thing, too. | |
| I mean, how much time have you guys gotten to spend with your family just over the gardening aspect? | |
| I mean, it's incredible, isn't it? | |
| A lot. | |
| A lot of family and friends, actually. | |
| It's funny you bring that up. | |
| For over the years, we've had dozens and dozens of people help us in gardening. | |
| And your relationships grow so deep, you know. | |
| Maybe we can get this two to come and help us do a community garden here for Morningside. | |
| The big one. | |
| And get everybody here at Morningside and just develop it and let's do some programs there. | |
| That'd be very good because I'm getting hungry and I'm going to be real. | |
| And I want to know what mistakes I could look forward to. | |
| But I really believe, Ricky, we got to keep teaching. | |
| We got to keep training. | |
| We got to keep discipling. | |
| And this is something that mom and dad has taught us that we continue to teach every moment that goes by. | |
| Amen. | |
| I'm going to walk over here. | |
| So I'm going to read you some of the things that are going to come in these seed kits as we only have a few minutes left. | |
| It's gone by so, so quickly. | |
| But here it is right here. | |
| If you're getting the backyard seed kit, I'll go with that one first. | |
| Snap peas, butternut, squash, zucchini, watermelon, bell pepper, parsnips, beets, yellow onions, spinach, radish, cucumbers, kale, two different types of lettuces, arrugula, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, brussels sprouts, two different types of tomatoes. | |
| Then you have your seasonings, Mondo, the dill, oregano, parsley, chives, cilantro, basil. | |
| And that's just the backyard seed kit alone. | |
| I actually don't have enough time in the show to read what's going to come in the all-in-one. | |
| I want to encourage you to scan that QR code on the screen or call us. | |
| It's 1-888-9881-588 or go to jimbakershow.com. | |
| Find that affiliate program. | |
| It says ARC on it, which stands for Agricultural Resource Kit. | |
| Am I correct on that? | |
| Yep, you got it. | |
| And also, friends, it is a really, it will be an ARC for you, for your family, for your community. | |
| I urge you to really focus on making sure your family is prepared this year. | |
| Once your family's prepared, focus on your church body, your community being prepared as well. | |
| I really do believe we're living in that revelation generation, Mondo. | |
| Yes. | |
| I believe that we are the first generation who has seen a culmination of all these prophetic events happening at the exact same time. | |
| And that shouldn't scare you, believer. | |
| This isn't a fearful message. | |
| That simply means one thing: Jesus Christ could be coming back soon. | |
| And friends, he's coming back for a church that is without spot or wrinkle, without blame. | |
| And believe, I believe that you and I can be that church through the sacrifice that was the cross, through the blood of Jesus that is good to cover every sin, good to cover every iniquity, good to cover every mental issue, good to cover every physical issue, good to cover every marital issue. | |
| Friends, it's all about the blood of Jesus. | |
| It's always been about the blood of Jesus, and it will always be about the blood of Jesus. | |
| I want to thank Morgan and Alex Mitchell for being on the broadcast with us today. | |
