Watered-Down Gospel
00:03:42
|
|
| Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show coming to you from the village of Morningside, USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. | |
| Today, our special guest is an end-time expert, scholar, author, writer, and speaker, retired Colonel David Giamona. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo De La Vega. | |
| And now, live from Gray Street at Morningside, USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Hello, friends. | |
| You're watching the PTL Television Network. | |
| It's an honor to have you tuning with us today. | |
| Friends, whether you're watching this live or you're watching this video on demand, it is great to have you with us. | |
| I'm going to be reading out of the word of God right now out of the book of Luke, chapter 21. | |
| And we're going to be reading verse 34 here. | |
| I'm going to be reading out of the CSB version. | |
| It says, be on your guard so that your minds are not doled from carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, or that day will come upon you unexpectedly, like a trap. | |
| For it will come on all who live on the face of the whole earth. | |
| But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man. | |
| You know, Mondo, a lot of the times we forget to pray the prayer of strength because there are trials and tribulations. | |
| We've kind of been fed a watered-down gospel, a sugar water gospel. | |
| It says, hey, it's all good. | |
| There'll be no trial. | |
| There'll be no tribulation. | |
| You know, there's just going to be positive things in your life. | |
| But Mondo, that doesn't seem to be the gospel that's presented in the New Testament. | |
| No, it comes with repercussions. | |
| It comes with a price. | |
| We are persecution and falling away. | |
| Some very discouraging times that the New Testament explains and talks us through. | |
| But yet the hope we have is that the more we cling to God, the more we get to know his word, the more we get to spend time with him in intimacy, praying and fasting, God reveals his vision for the future. | |
| The outcomes, yet we don't participate in those things, but Christians that don't know their word. | |
| Listen, can I give you a headline that is troubling? | |
| Because I believe that some of the things that the church is going to see and go through has to deal with the responsibility that is coming from the pulpits of America today. | |
| This is according to the Christian Post. | |
| Public trust in pastors continues to decline. | |
| This is a Gallup poll that is finding this report. | |
| We are watching a generation that continues to not have trust in pastors today. | |
| It is declining faster than I believe our economy is changing. | |
| Wow. | |
| Why is that? | |
| Pastors used to hold a message of integrity, righteousness, holiness. | |
| Yet today, the message that is coming from our pulpit today is what you just mentioned is a watered-down gospel, a feel-good gospel that is not preparing us for what you just read. | |
| That's right. | |
| And there is something to be prepared for. | |
| Friends, today we have Colonel David Giamona with us. | |
| He's the president of Battle Ready Ministries, and he is a U.S. Army chaplain retired with 32 years in the military, an end times expert. | |
|
Donald Trump's Role in Prophecy
00:14:23
|
|
| He's a scholar and he's an author as well. | |
| He co-authored a new book with Troy Anderson called Your Mission in God's Army, which we featured here on this broadcast. | |
| Now, he not only is a commentator on Newsmac, but he's also a life coach. | |
| Mondo, I don't know if you know that. | |
| And his website is davidgiamona.com. | |
| We'll put that up on the screen for you. | |
| We're going to be speaking with him today. | |
| But Mondo, the promise we have to the Word of God is so brilliant. | |
| It's so beautiful. | |
| And I want to ask Colonel Giamona this in just a moment, but I'm going to read this to you because, friends, there's going to be trials and tribulations, yes. | |
| But listen to what also will be there. | |
| I'm going to be reading out of Acts chapter 2, verse 17. | |
| It says this right here. | |
| And it will be in the last days, the last days, friends, says God, that I will pour out my spirit on all people. | |
| Then your sons and your daughters will prophesy. | |
| Your young men will see visions. | |
| Your old men will dream dreams. | |
| And I'll even pour out my spirit on my servants in those days, both men and women. | |
| And they will prophesy. | |
| I will display wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below. | |
| Blood and fire and a cloud of smoke. | |
| The sun will be turned to darkness, the moon to blood before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes. | |
| Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. | |
| And friends, that is something that we're talking about, you know, through the prophet Joel that is reiterated there in Acts chapter 2. | |
| Colonel David Giamoni, you're on with us today. | |
| While we have trials and tribulations in this world, while there are difficult situations that a lot of Christians have to face, there is a hope, isn't there? | |
| Yeah, absolutely, Rick. | |
| And it's great to be on the show again with you and Mondo. | |
| And yes, there is a hope. | |
| And I really like what Mondo just said about people, you know, Christians reading their Bible. | |
| I was just one-on-one with someone the other day who has read his Bible for 20 years, every day. | |
| And he said his life is a living hell right now. | |
| And this is the reason why. | |
| You could read your Bible every day and it won't change you because you're not applying the word of God to your life. | |
| And so in this show today, I think you're right on the money. | |
| There is hope, but the hope has to be with Donald Trump. | |
| And I'm glad, you know, Trump is back in power again. | |
| And Donald Trump said something yesterday that's so profound to the church today. | |
| He said, words don't mean much without action. | |
| And so that's really where I'm at today. | |
| Whether I'm speaking to tens of thousands of people or now one-on-one discipling people and life coaching, as you had said, I found it's a very powerful tool to use the word of God to change our life, but we must apply the word, not just be hearers of the word, as James says, but doers of the word. | |
| That's where our hope comes from. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, we have some Rolands from Donald Trump's inauguration, some highlights for you. | |
| Let's watch those. | |
| And then, Colonel, we're going to get back to the conversation and talk about this. | |
| Today, President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance will take their oath of office. | |
| Our Father and our God, thou hast said, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. | |
| We pray that we would fulfill the true meaning of our creed, that we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. | |
| The golden age of America begins right now. | |
| As we gather today, our government confronts a crisis of trust. | |
| We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home. | |
| Our recent election is a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal and to give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy, and indeed their freedom. | |
| Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we are so grateful today that you will use our 47th president so we would sing with new meaning, my country, Tizati, sweet land of liberty of the Asen. | |
| My life was saved for a reason. | |
| I was saved by God to make America great again. | |
| Thank you for the protection, the bounty, the freedoms that we so enjoy. | |
| We know that America can never be great again if we turn our backs on you. | |
| With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense. | |
| I stand before you now as proof that you should never believe that something is impossible to do. | |
| In America, the impossible is what we do best. | |
| We, blessed citizens of this one nation under God, humbled by our claim that in God we trust, gather indeed this inauguration day to pray for our President, Donald J. Trump, his family, his advisors, his cabinet, his aspirations, his vice president. | |
| For American citizens, January 20th, 2025 is Liberation Day. | |
| Colonel Jamona, what was your impression of President Trump's speech at the inauguration? | |
| It is what we need in America today. | |
| We have gone through four years of darkness. | |
| We didn't know which way we were going, and we didn't know how to get there. | |
| But there's a new hope and a new light. | |
| Now, Donald Trump is not the savior of the world. | |
| We know that. | |
| But he's going to bring leadership and hope, as we had just previously mentioned. | |
| And he's going to bring a new breath of fresh air to make America not only great, maybe we'll have four years of reprieve from really the hell that we have lived through in the last four years under the darkness of Satan and his demons. | |
| Now, Donald Trump, we're going to pray for him. | |
| Pete Hegseth, who I love, and all these cabinet members, they're going to do a great job. | |
| But mark my words, Satan, the demons, the left are not going to lie down and just let him roll over. | |
| We're at war, but we're going to win this war because we have Jesus Christ. | |
| Amen. | |
| We absolutely do. | |
| You know, Donald Trump has now taken the center stage. | |
| He really did whenever he won the election in November. | |
| But how will this impact the globe politically, biblically, spiritually, and socially? | |
| Because we're seeing that there is a change that is happening, not just here in the United States, but other countries are starting to look at America again and say they might become the superpower they once were. | |
| Oh, absolutely. | |
| Pete Hegset said, we're going to be of the Army of the 90s, which I was in the Army of the 90s. | |
| It was a powerful force. | |
| I was at Desert Storm. | |
| I was in Iraq, Afghanistan, and on and on it goes. | |
| So the world is going to take note that there is a new sheriff in town. | |
| There's new leadership. | |
| There's new power. | |
| And even as we see the hostages being returned to Israel, that's because Donald Trump told them, quote, there will be hell to pay if you don't do this. | |
| People are listening to Donald Trump. | |
| And geopolitically, it's going to be a new day. | |
| I have much to say about that. | |
| However, I mean, biblical prophecy is still going to happen. | |
| And Donald Trump is going to have his hands full with, you know, the world and the leadership and all the things. | |
| But I'm saying that maybe we have four years of reprieve to prepare, get ready, because as you saw at the end of 2024, we had floods on the East Coast. | |
| Now we have fires on the West Coast. | |
| We're going to have our hands full, full of many things that are going to be happening. | |
| I was talking to a prominent pastor on the West Coast. | |
| 2025, I believe, is going to be a year of startling fulfillment of biblical prophecy. | |
| Startling. | |
| Listen, let's talk about that. | |
| I have another question I wanted to ask you, but I'm intrigued about Bible prophecy because the development of artificial intelligence is prompting Bible prophecy into the forefront. | |
| We know that. | |
| But natural events like volcanoes, wildfires, the weather out of control. | |
| Let's talk about that. | |
| What do you see coming in Bible prophecy that we need to pray for for 2025? | |
| And how does the church get ready for those events? | |
| How long is this show? | |
| Okay, let's start with geopolitical first, Mondo. | |
| Iran, geopolitically, has been weakened. | |
| You saw Israel take out Hezbollah on the north, Hamas, and now Turkey is raising its head. | |
| And the reason why, in the natural, is because Turkey, until the 1920s, was the head of the Ottoman Empire for 800 years. | |
| They ruled the world. | |
| That's what they want now. | |
| And they need to rule the world again, according to their prime minister, Egerwan Egerwith. | |
| And so the prime minister of Turkey is going to lead that coalition. | |
| Iran is going to follow suit. | |
| There's going to be an interesting reclamation of countries, a realignment of natural order according to biblical prophecy. | |
| And I believe many things are going to happen. | |
| You're going to see right now, and it's already happening. | |
| Turkey is a NATO alignment member. | |
| I don't believe they're going to be in NATO very much longer. | |
| I think they're going to lead a coalition. | |
| They're going to align with Russia. | |
| They're going to align with Iran. | |
| And they're going to try to take Israel because they know that with Israel there, they cannot be the regional hegemon, the regional leader of the Middle East. | |
| He said he believes, and correct me if I'm incorrect. | |
| You said you believe they're going to try to take Israel. | |
| Can you expound on that a little bit further, Colonel? | |
| Right. | |
| So the stick in the mud right now for the entire Middle East, according to Islam, is Israel. | |
| I think many people know on your show, and you guys know this, that Islam is expecting the return of their Messiah. | |
| Well, in order to do that, they need to create a world war, and they need to create, they have to take out Israel according to their own Islamic prophecies, according to their own ideologies and their beliefs that those two things must happen to bring back the Mahdi, which is the Islamic Messiah. | |
| They need to take out Israel and they need to create a world war, World War III, especially. | |
| So the Messiah will come back. | |
| As we know, the Antichrist is going to come. | |
| But that's going to happen. | |
| And for them to take those steps, what they're going to do, they're going to surround Israel. | |
| Now, with Trump in power right now, it's going to be very difficult to do. | |
| So we're going to see how all this aligns. | |
| But taking out of Israel means they're going to take over the country. | |
| According to 38 and 39 of Ezekiel, you know, they're going to invade Israel with armies, Air Force, Marines, everything, Navy. | |
| They're all going to come against Israel in the years to come. | |
| And that God is going to stop them on the mountains of Israel. | |
| Now, I know there's a lot of other people that believe many things about 38 and 39, but as I studied over the years, Joel Richardson and many other scholars, I think we believe that this is going to happen and it could be imminent. | |
| I want to bring something to the forefront of what Colonel mentioned. | |
| For the last 27 years, I have heard Pastor Jim talk about our father, your friend, Turkey. | |
| In 1999, and I just want to create a timeline here. | |
| In 1999, he received prophetic words, 31 things, and one of them was to watch Turkey. | |
| At that moment, in 1999, nobody was even thinking about Turkey being a threat to the world, let alone Islam being a threat to the world. | |
| Now, there was some sprinkling in 1993 and some events that the Muslim world was creating, especially the terrorists, the extremists. | |
| We bring it to the forefront of where we are today. | |
| There are many articles that point that Turkey will betray the West. | |
| Turkey will betray America. | |
| Turkey, and how does that happen? | |
| Because Turkey has power and control of the direction that this extremist will go to, meaning they can create a black mirror, so to speak, to say, I can bring peace with this type of organizations. | |
| In fact, that will look like they have control of the terrorists. | |
| Yet, behind that, they're going to betray the West. | |
| Now, you have to understand the part that Turkey plays. | |
| In order to be the king of the Middle East, they have to take out Iran. | |
| They have to remove Saudi Arabia. | |
| They have to weaken Saudi Arabia in a way that they can become the superpower that will have a place at the table of negotiation with Russia and China. | |
| Now, how do you do that? | |
| Militarily and financially. | |
| In order to have the ear of someone like Xi Jinping or even Vladimir Putin, you have to have money at the table in order to play with the big boys. | |
| Yet, what we're watching right now is the coalition that Colonel just mentioned of nations. | |
|
Adolf Hitler: Forerunner of Antichrist?
00:03:34
|
|
| Now, prophetically, you have to go back to the Bible. | |
| How are these nations going to come together and who's going to bring them together? | |
| Because they're not together right now. | |
| Yet, could it be that Turkey could be the nation that can bring those nations together and fulfill prophecy? | |
| And we've had people on our broadcast sit really where you are across the table and say that they believe that the Antichrist will come from Turkey. | |
| I want to ask you, Colonel Giermona, a lot of people will say it is just hearsay or it's just metaphorical language that there will be a physical Antichrist on this earth. | |
| What do you believe about that? | |
| Do you believe that we'll actually see a day where there is a physical antichrist trying to rule the entire world? | |
| Well, people say a lot of metaphorical things. | |
| The reason they say that they say it's allegory metaphors is because they don't really believe the Bible. | |
| I'm sorry to say that. | |
| The Bible speaks very plainly that the Antichrist is a person. | |
| It's a man. | |
| You look through the Old Testament, all the way back to the Torah, all the way through the book of Revelation, chapter 13. | |
| It's a person. | |
| It's a man. | |
| And that man, I believe the forerunner of that man is Adolf Hitler. | |
| He is the forerunner of the Antichrist in the modern era. | |
| Adolf Hitler, if you go back and look at the crowds, the millions of people that worshiped him, that saluted him, that followed him. | |
| And by the way, including the church, the majority of the church in Germany followed Adolf Hitler. | |
| And by the way, Adolf Hitler read from Martin Luther, who hated the Jews and wrote a book about killing the Jews. | |
| And that's where, you know, he got his power from. | |
| He got it from the church. | |
| He got it from the people. | |
| Now, come back to this era right now. | |
| People are saying there can be never be an Antichrist to rule the world. | |
| Well, it happened already in our, you know, just in our generations back in the 1930s and 40s. | |
| And it's going to happen again. | |
| And now the Antichrist is going to take power because the world, you look at Revelation chapter 13, it says the Antichrist comes out of this ocean of swirling ocean, meaning there's going to be a lot of problems in the future, economic, global upheavals. | |
| And people, you remember COVID? | |
| And that was just a little taste. | |
| You can see people gladly gave up their rights, their safety, everything else so they could be secure against COVID. | |
| Well, when the world is in such an upheaval economically, politically, geographically, you're going to see a man rise up. | |
| It could be out of Islam. | |
| It could be out of Turkey. | |
| Turkey plays a major role. | |
| People don't realize in the Bible. | |
| The seven churches of the book of Revelation are in Turkey. | |
| John was exiled in the island of Patmos, and he saw this vision. | |
| And Turkey was a major player. | |
| So it could be, it may not be Erdogan, the prime minister. | |
| It could be someone else that rises up after him. | |
| But it's a possibility that this Antichrist is already alive and well and living and could come out of Turkey, the Middle East. | |
|
Go Back to the Word
00:15:32
|
|
| That's one of the lines that we're thinking about as we speak. | |
| Wow. | |
| I'm watching Turkey. | |
| I'm watching Syria. | |
| Two places that I happen to have a strong opinion on this entity called the Antichrist. | |
| We have to go back to the word. | |
| Listen to me. | |
| Go back to the word. | |
| Read the word. | |
| What does the word have to say about who we're talking about and what we're talking about? | |
| We are living in one of the most developed information ages of our lifetime. | |
| There will be no such time as what we're experiencing. | |
| It is what many people have called the fourth turning point of America, maybe even the world. | |
| Artificial intelligence is going to rewrite the Bible in ways that you and I, the Bible prophesies that even the very elect will be deceived. | |
| They're trying to do it right now. | |
| These softwares online. | |
| And this software is the algorithms are rewriting the scripture, the Bible, in order to make it sound however they want to make it sound. | |
| Yet, this is why it's so important. | |
| You have a physical Bible to go back to the word. | |
| Don't trust your devices. | |
| Your devices are being upgraded every other day. | |
| There's an upgrade, software updates. | |
| If you don't believe me, look at the upgrade that just took place with TikTok. | |
| TikTok is not the same as it was before it got shut down. | |
| Why? | |
| Because there is money interest in order to keep these things going, and they have to change the look. | |
| They make it feel the same. | |
| But everyone that is using TikTok right now knows there's something different. | |
| Now, imagine if something is different about the word. | |
| When you read the word through a device, it doesn't sound the same as the physical word. | |
| And yet, most people don't even know it because they're going to fall in deception and believing something that the word never meant to say. | |
| And pulpits of America today are preaching a different gospel. | |
| We're teaching a different gospel. | |
| The gospel of repentance doesn't exist in many churches today. | |
| The gospel of turning away from sin and live in holiness and righteousness and seeking the face of God. | |
| Instead, what are we doing? | |
| We're seeking the pockets of God. | |
| I'm going to get in trouble on our own show, am I? | |
| Go on. | |
| But I want to tell you something. | |
| If you don't start listening and reading the word, don't be deceived in the times that we're in right now. | |
| Many prophets, even I mean, written about what's coming, things are lining up. | |
| People know things are not making sense. | |
| What do I mean? | |
| And then I'll be quiet. | |
| What I mean is it doesn't make sense that it's snowing in the last 200 years. | |
| It had not snow in destined, Florida. | |
| In hundreds of years, it has not snowed in Bilixi, Mississippi. | |
| It hasn't snowed in many areas. | |
| It doesn't make any sense that wildfires are getting more and more out of control. | |
| It doesn't make any sense that volcanoes are getting ready to erupt. | |
| Volcanoes that have not erupted in over hundreds of years, they're getting ready to erupt in our lifetime that can change the face and the trajectory of the future of the world. | |
| Yet people don't care. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, we see in the word of God, friends, the parable of the fig tree in Luke chapter 21, we don't claim to know the day or the hour, nor will we ever know the day or the hour. | |
| So, friends, I'll tell you right now, if you get some divine revelation that says, you know, I'm throwing out a hypothetical date, December 21st, 30, 30, you know, or 2033, the Lord's coming back. | |
| Friends, it's not right. | |
| You'll never know the day or the hour. | |
| But what the Lord told us is that we will know the season in which he is coming. | |
| Mondo, when we look out and see things like that, historic events happening over, you know, two centuries, we're finally getting weather patterns that have never happened in places like Florida, places like Texas. | |
| We're getting wildfires out of control. | |
| That is why we bring everything back to a biblical perspective to say, hey, is this a biblically prophetic event? | |
| Is this something that we need to be watching out for? | |
| Because it says here, then he told them a parable. | |
| Look at the fig tree and all of the trees. | |
| As soon as they put out leaves, you can see for yourselves and recognize that summer is already near. | |
| In the same way, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. | |
| Truly, I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place. | |
| Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. | |
| So, Mondo, what we see here is that there is a generation that will not pass away until all things take place. | |
| But it is our responsibility, Mondo. | |
| It is our responsibility, viewer, if you're watching this right now to recognize. | |
| Nobody can recognize for you, friend. | |
| Nobody can do that work for you. | |
| It takes you opening up your word of God, then stepping outside, opening your eyes, and recognizing the season which we're living in. | |
| Now, Colonel, I want to ask you this question. | |
| Do you feel like, especially as privileged as we are in a wonderful country of America, and I love living in the United States of America, I think we're the greatest superpower that has ever lived on the face of the earth. | |
| And I believe that America needs to continue to be that superpower. | |
| But the American church is what I'm referring to when I say this. | |
| Do you feel like we have allowed our privilege to get us to the point where we no longer recognize signs around us? | |
| Well, the church right now, Ricky Mondo, is in a reckoning. | |
| There's a separation from the sheep and the goats. | |
| I've talked to many pastors. | |
| Some pastors are experiencing explosive growth. | |
| Many are coming because they're hungry for the word of God. | |
| And many churches are filling up for people who just want to have their ears tickled and go home and do their own thing for the whole week. | |
| No life change. | |
| But there is a very scary scripture in Matthew 25 that I really think we ought to take a look at very closely. | |
| Jesus said in Matthew 25, the very first verse, he said, at that time, what time was that? | |
| At the end time. | |
| He just got through speaking about Matthew 24 and all the things that were going to happen at the end times, including the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, all the way through the end times where we're living right now. | |
| And he said, at that time, there's going to be virgins, 10 of them, and they're all going to be asleep. | |
| And most scholars that I have talked to and I've interpreted this scripture believe the virgins are the church. | |
| This is the scary part. | |
| All the virgins were asleep. | |
| If you look around the church today, it's almost like they've been inoculated with a sleep drug. | |
| Some pastors and I talk about going around and waking pastors and people up, but they are afraid of the end times. | |
| They want to stay asleep. | |
| So these 10 virgins, half of them had oil, which we know is the Holy Spirit, and half of them did not. | |
| Well, those five virgins went to be with the Lord when he called. | |
| And those other five virgins, they could not get into heaven. | |
| They were knocking and knocking. | |
| And you know what the Lord said to them? | |
| I never knew you. | |
| Here's the problem, guys. | |
| Many people go to church. | |
| They even read their Bible every day. | |
| They even watch this show, but they're not followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. | |
| They're doing their own thing. | |
| And Jesus is going to tell those people, I never knew you. | |
| The main thing, the main two things we hear in the army for many years when we're in combat and everything is going haywire, the infantry guys usually will stand up and say, get your rifle and follow me. | |
| And that's where we need to be right now in the end times. | |
| We need to be followers of the Lord. | |
| Follow him every day. | |
| Whatever he says, do. | |
| That's why I wrote the book, you know, your mission in God's Army. | |
| Because many people are not prepared because they read the word. | |
| They're in Bible studies. | |
| They go to church, but not doers of the word. | |
| They're not following Jesus and his commands and what he has asked us to do. | |
| And so that's where we are right now. | |
| And by the way, one other additional note. | |
| For 2,000 years, pastors, preachers, our forefathers all said, Israel will never become a nation. | |
| It's allegory. | |
| It's myth. | |
| You know, the Bible says it's going to happen, but that's just not going to happen. | |
| They all said that, many of them. | |
| And in May 1948, Israel became a nation. | |
| The Bible is always going to trump everything we think. | |
| Just believe the word of God. | |
| Amen. | |
| We must believe the word of God. | |
| And we preach that here on this PTL television network. | |
| We are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. | |
| We are not ashamed of the word of God. | |
| This is our foundation. | |
| This is what we stand upon. | |
| And friends, I've said it many times and I'll continue to sound like a broken record. | |
| When you became a Christian, you lost your right to an opinion. | |
| Friends, I'm sorry. | |
| It doesn't matter what you think of world issues. | |
| If you believe contradictory to the Bible, you're wrong. | |
| We must believe the entire word of God. | |
| It is important that, friends, when you look Christ face to face in all of his glory, he says to you, well done, my good and faithful servant, not depart from me, for I never knew you. | |
| We care vastly more about your eternal position than your temporary comfort and your temporary happiness, friend. | |
| That is why we preach a message that is no compromise. | |
| That is why we preach a message that is holiness. | |
| That doesn't mean you're going to be perfect and you'll never make mistakes. | |
| You'll never fall back down or you'll never fall down. | |
| But friends, don't stay down. | |
| Don't lay down there and wallow in the mud. | |
| Get back up. | |
| That is what a righteous man and a righteous woman does. | |
| Get back up and continue to run the race. | |
| Why? | |
| Because those who endure till the end shall gain their lives. | |
| Friends, this is a race of endurance. | |
| This isn't a 100-yard sprint. | |
| Friends, this is a marathon and a marathon after that marathon and a marathon after that marathon. | |
| Your thing in life that you need to be clinging on to is Christ and Christ alone. | |
| And walk that marathon, run that marathon. | |
| If you fall down and bust your knee, get back up and keep running that marathon. | |
| Endure till the end, friend. | |
| Cross that finish line. | |
| That is the most important thing that you will ever do. | |
| The most important decision you'll ever make is making Jesus Christ your Lord and your Savior, making your will subservant to his in all aspects of life. | |
| That is the most important decision you will ever make, friend. | |
| Never compromise the word of God. | |
| Never add anything to the word of God. | |
| Never take anything away from the word of God. | |
| And we see in Revelation chapter 22, right before the book ends. | |
| Friends, it says, if you add something to the word of God, then a plague from this book will be added to you. | |
| And if you take something from the word of God, friends, then your name will be blotted out of the Lamb's book of life. | |
| It is vital and important that you ensure you are preaching the word and only the word. | |
| Friends, that is why there is a higher discipline that will come upon teachers, preachers, pastors, people who teach the word. | |
| You're responsible, a much heavier responsibility. | |
| I know we have pastors, deacons, elders of the church, teachers, ministers who watch this program. | |
| And I want to say, ensure that you love the word of God enough not to mutilate the word of God. | |
| Ensure that you love the word of God enough not to change it because you want your congregation to smile and not look at you flat face. | |
| Friends, it is important we never compromise any aspect of the word of God. | |
| And that's why I love what Colonel Giamona has done. | |
| He does not compromise the word of God. | |
| Colonel Gmail, you wrote a book. | |
| I want to talk about that for a little bit. | |
| We have that available here actually through an affiliate program. | |
| You were kind enough to work with us. | |
| And I want to say to everyone who's watching, Colonel Giamona was kind enough to work with us to get an affiliate program so that you can go to jimbakershow.com and order a book through his affiliate program right there, Your Mission and God's Army. | |
| I love that. | |
| It says your ultimate mission briefing right there. | |
| You can go and get that book, jimbakershow.com or call our number. | |
| It's 1888-988-1588. | |
| The reason we sell books, friends, the reason we talk about having affiliate programs is because we need to be able to stay on the air to preach the gospel. | |
| It's vital. | |
| It's important to us. | |
| It is part of our heart's mission. | |
| Matthew 24, 14 says that this gospel will be preached to all the world and then the end shall come. | |
| This good news, this gospel needs to be preached to all the world. | |
| And friends, that's why we have this. | |
| We want to continue to be in your homes, your living rooms, on your drive homes if you watch or listen on a podcast. | |
| We want to continue to preach the gospel, only the gospel, and never compromise the gospel. | |
| We can only do that with your support. | |
| And I want to say thank you. | |
| Anytime you shop with those affiliate programs, thank you. | |
| Anytime you give a donation to this ministry, thank you. | |
| Friends, we pray over those donations. | |
| We ask the Lord, how can we use these as appropriate as possible? | |
| And we can continue to preach the gospel because of you and your efforts. | |
| But Colonel, you have a book, your mission and God's army. | |
| I want to ensure that people understand what this book is about. | |
| Why do people need it, even if they've never maybe served in the military? | |
| Right. | |
| I wrote the book because I have found as I've traveled around the world and I've talked to pastors and I've talked to many people in the church. | |
| They don't know what their mission is. | |
| They don't know what their life's purpose is. | |
| They don't understand what God has given to them in the word of God. | |
| So we go through the entire book and we give the word of God and we cite example after example. | |
| At the end of every chapter, there are things that you can look at and you can actually, I have clients right now that I'm doing one-on-one. | |
| They're going through the book and they look at the end and they say, hey, this is what Colonel Jimona said to do. | |
| You know, this is what the Bible says to do. | |
| This is what I'm going to do. | |
| So the first thing they have to understand, I'll give you a little snippet here, is understanding your mission in the military. | |
| You don't have to be in the military to love this book. | |
| But in the military, I was an assignments officer. | |
| I gave assignments worldwide to over a thousand chapters, 1,700 chaplains going to war, going to different parts of the world. | |
| And you know how I assigned those chaplains? | |
| I looked at their record. | |
| I looked at their experience. | |
| I looked at their DNA and what they have done in the past and what they can do for us in the future. | |
| And that's exactly what God does in our lives. | |
| He created us with DNA. | |
| And he has given us a mission. | |
| He knows exactly what we should be doing, how we should do it. | |
| But I have a lot of people who say the first thing they say, well, Colonel, David, I'm really afraid to ask God what my assignment is because he may send me to Africa or he may send me to Timbuktu, wherever. | |
|
Discipleship Process Matters
00:12:53
|
|
| And my response is this, and we wrote this in the book. | |
| Are you smarter than God? | |
| Do you know more than God does about your life, why he created you, and what your assignment and mission in life is? | |
| Now, having said that, Ricky Mondo, there are certain things that all are required of all believers to follow him, to be filled with the spirit, you know, to be born again, to be baptized in water, to follow the commandments. | |
| That's all, you know, for us. | |
| But what are our specific gifts? | |
| What are our specific qualities and assignments that God has given? | |
| To me, it was to become an army chaplain, a minister, a pastor, an author, a coach, a writer. | |
| And these are the things that God has given me that I have discovered over the years through the word, through other people telling me this is, you know, what your gifts are and through, you know, lots of life experiences. | |
| This is what the book goes through chapter by chapter, just starting from the very beginning. | |
| And we'll say the rich young ruler, for example, goes to Jesus. | |
| He's a young man. | |
| He's got a lot of money. | |
| He's got a lot of fame, a lot of power. | |
| He goes to Jesus and he tells Jesus, what shall I do? | |
| How can I follow you? | |
| And Jesus said, go and sell everything you have and follow me. | |
| Well, that wasn't going to wash in his life. | |
| He said, I can't sell everything. | |
| I got millions and dollars. | |
| I got power. | |
| I got prestige. | |
| He turned down the world's goods. | |
| I mean, turned down the Lord's goods for the world's goods. | |
| And so what I'm telling people in this script, in the Bible, through the Bible, through this book, this thing is this. | |
| First, sit down and listen to what the Lord has to say to you. | |
| He may want you to do something that's vitally important. | |
| He may want you to give to this ministry or whatever. | |
| He may want you to do some other things. | |
| But you have to discover that through a process of going through the word of God, process of listening to godly people, reading these kinds of books. | |
| And of course, ultimately and foundationally, reading the word of God. | |
| I'll stop there if you have questions. | |
| Wow. | |
| Continue to stand with us, friends. | |
| We appreciate every time you pray for this ministry, every time you donate to this ministry. | |
| But friends, we love your prayers more than anything. | |
| There are days where it feels like the world, you know, the weight of the ministry is on your shoulders. | |
| But friends, your prayers can help uplift us. | |
| So continue to do that. | |
| Continue to intercede on behalf of this ministry. | |
| The PTL Television Network, the Jim Baker Family Show, I promise you, friends, we covet those more than anything else. | |
| Now, Colonel, I want to ask you this question. | |
| You're involved in a lot of aspects of ministry. | |
| I want you to tell us what the Lord has you to do in 2025. | |
| That's a great question. | |
| Thank you. | |
| Of course, the last number of years since I retired from the military, I've been preaching around the world, written, authored three books, and preached in a lot of churches. | |
| And I've discovered something through that experience. | |
| And this goes back to your mission in God's army. | |
| For 2025, God has given me a specific word that as you have, and I have, I preach to thousands of people. | |
| I was with many, many ministries in Washington, D.C., some years ago. | |
| And Joel Osteen invited me to come. | |
| There were 50,000 people there. | |
| I was playing my sacks. | |
| I was praying with them. | |
| And it's wonderful to minister, as you do, to millions around the world. | |
| And I still think we ought to do that. | |
| But then God said, He told me at the end of this 2024, I want you to begin coaching, discipling people one-on-one, and maybe small groups and some seminars as well online. | |
| So I developed life coaching, life change, on our website, www.davidgamona.com, where you can actually sign up with me and we'll go through an assessment process. | |
| But I've discovered the greatest joy, the greatest power is, yeah, I love preaching still and I love these shows, but getting one-on-one, I've seen some people's lives totally turn around. | |
| One young man that I've been counseling started in 2024 and then started developing. | |
| He was an alcoholic, a drug addict. | |
| He was doing, you know, all this stuff. | |
| He had gone to church all his life, but nothing was making sense. | |
| The Lord said, I want you to take him and life coach him, life train him, disciple him. | |
| And that man right now has totally turned around. | |
| And he has touched his family, touched everybody. | |
| Everybody's looking at him and says, what has happened to you? | |
| And he points, of course, to Jesus Christ, not to me. | |
| He said, the Lord turned it around. | |
| But it was through that one-on-one discipleship, life coaching, that I was able to really reach down and really get into the nitty-gritty. | |
| And you know what? | |
| When I was saved, guys, years ago, January of 1974, that was before your time. | |
| I had a Coco Perez, a pastor at that time, a young man who was my friend who discipled me for years. | |
| And this is the reason why God has given me such a great success in ministry around the world, because I was discipled. | |
| Many, many people do not have that right now. | |
| They don't have a church that's discipling them. | |
| They don't have a church that's coming alongside one-on-one. | |
| They got lost in the masses. | |
| I even had, you know, talked to Billy Graham's people. | |
| And I love Billy Graham. | |
| I love the Cove. | |
| I love everything Franklin's doing. | |
| But even Billy Graham said, you know, I've touched millions of people, but how many of those people really are followers of Jesus today? | |
| How many were discipled? | |
| We've made converts, but Jesus said to go out and make disciples. | |
| And that's the new direction I am being called to in my local church and online. | |
| And I'm really excited about it. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, George Barnow has reported that only 4% of Christians have a biblical worldview. | |
| So how are we as Christians expected to navigate disasters, the end times, without understanding scripture, Colonel? | |
| That's exactly right. | |
| And I've read those statistics, and you guys are right on the money. | |
| Our pastors, I'm going to say this, and I hope you hold on to your seatbelts because it's going to get tough right here, right here. | |
| But our pastors want to preach the Jesus of the gospels, but not the Jesus of the book of Revelation. | |
| And, you know, it's the same Jesus that was in the Old Testament telling Moses and Joshua, kill all of them, leave nothing unturned and take, you know, the positions and destroy them and occupy. | |
| Everybody wants to point to the Jesus of the gospels. | |
| And I love the Jesus of the gospel. | |
| It's the same Jesus of the Old Testament, the same Jesus of the book of Revelation. | |
| Different mission, though. | |
| His mission was to come and seek that was lost. | |
| And now he's doing that. | |
| But the tide is turning. | |
| And the people have to realize, pastor, have to realize you have to now preach the returning Jesus. | |
| And he's the king of kings and Lord of lords. | |
| He's got the sword that's going to slay the Antichrist and his hordes. | |
| He's going to come back and establish his kingdom and rule it with a rod of iron. | |
| We're not talking about that Jesus right now. | |
| And that's a shame because that's what people need to hear, the truth. | |
| And a lot of pastors have told me, guys, they don't want to preach that Jesus because they're going to lose people. | |
| Well, let's lose people, but let's gain disciples. | |
| That's what I say. | |
| Amen. | |
| Well, your life has changed through discipleship, right? | |
| Do you think you would have been the same man you are today? | |
| No. | |
| If you had just been a convert? | |
| No, because when I came to the Lord, the church at that point was utilizing testimonies to try to get people in the church, which was amazing. | |
| It's called being evangelist. | |
| But discipleship is when you set root in a church and start getting disciple and start being a part of a homebody. | |
| You see, the church today, we fell in love with traveling and we fell in love with not having roots in the church. | |
| Therefore, you have a wild generation of evangelists that are not accountable. | |
| Discipleship gives you accountability and a root to set forth on biblical teaching and rooted on how to serve the community, how to build the body of Christ. | |
| It becomes a we instead of an I situation, right? | |
| So we have an I generation, meaning a 2 Timothy chapter 3 generation where we become a lover of ourselves. | |
| But when you fall in love with discipleship, you build a body and the body is dependent on each other. | |
| And yet the pastor is not left by himself. | |
| He has a group of a body that can, that he can't, he or she can rely upon. | |
| But when you build a generation of lovers of themselves, now there's no accountability. | |
| And I needed to have accountability. | |
| I needed to go through the process of dealing with sin. | |
| The sin that I came out of was still part of my life. | |
| And I thought that I can negotiate areas of my life of sin with God and realizing that's not how God works. | |
| There's a lot of non-negotiables with God if you're going to be used by God, but it can only be revealed through discipleship. | |
| But discipleship is not fun because it reveals the sin in you. | |
| And when you're attached to your sin, you think that your identity is that part of your sin when the Bible is clearly that our identity is in Christ. | |
| We're a new creation in Christ. | |
| You know, Colonel, I want to ask you this. | |
| When we become a new creation, whenever someone gives their heart to the Lord, how important is it then, therefore, for them to begin pretty immediate discipleship? | |
| It's absolutely necessary. | |
| It's unequivocally, we have to do that. | |
| If you have a convert and they come to your church or you, you know, you lead someone to the Lord, they're going to be lost, as we say, lost in the sauce for a long time. | |
| They have to get into the word. | |
| They have to be discipled. | |
| They have to understand the will of God. | |
| And I remember back in when I was converted, I was a Catholic at the time, or I wasn't a practicing Catholic. | |
| I was just a nominal Catholic. | |
| I didn't even go to church at that time. | |
| And I gave my life to Christ on January and last Sunday in January, 1974. | |
| And immediately I thought, man, everybody's going to want to know about this Jesus. | |
| Everybody's going to want to love. | |
| Everybody's going to want this power. | |
| So I went, I was in high school at the time. | |
| I went to the high school. | |
| Nobody wanted Jesus. | |
| And it confused me. | |
| I thought, wow. | |
| And then my family turned against me. | |
| And, you know, when you become a disciple, not everything is rosy. | |
| And Satan wants you back in his kingdom and he's going to fight to get you. | |
| And so without discipleship, we're going to lose people. | |
| Imagine this, guys. | |
| I say, okay, Ricky, it's time for you. | |
| As you know, you've been in the Army. | |
| Time for you. | |
| You're a young man. | |
| You got out of high school. | |
| You're going to the Army. | |
| Here's a gun. | |
| Here's some ammunition. | |
| Here's a backpack, boots. | |
| I'm going to get you in a uniform. | |
| Come follow me. | |
| We're going to go to war. | |
| What do you think is going to happen? | |
| You're going to get killed in combat. | |
| And you're probably going to get me killed. | |
| And we don't take people right off the street in the army and say, okay, you guys are ready to go fight. | |
| No, they have to go through basic training. | |
| Then they have to go advanced training. | |
| They have to go through all kinds of schooling and learn what it is to be a disciple, United States Army, and you become an Army soldier. | |
| And so in the church, we cannot afford to have converts come in and raise their hand. | |
|
Preparing for Hard Times
00:07:19
|
|
| And, you know, we have all these numbers. | |
| Oh, we had, you know, 100 people raise their hands. | |
| But the real true number is how many of those hundred come true disciples of Jesus Christ? | |
| How many did we train? | |
| How many did we equip? | |
| How many did we arm to get ready and prepare for these last days? | |
| That's what I'm about. | |
| That's what you guys are about. | |
| And by the way, it's kind of funny. | |
| You say these guys about laugh about you and the food and all that. | |
| I guarantee you, they ain't going to be laughing when they're out of food and their disasters has hit them and they're not prepared for what is about to happen. | |
| That's right. | |
| And we've seen it many, many times as we've been given the opportunity. | |
| And that's what it is, friends, through your partnership. | |
| We've been given the opportunity to go serve those communities who have had natural disasters, who have had horrible events happen to their communities. | |
| We've rebuilt cities. | |
| We have fed churches, towns. | |
| And Mondo, we want to continue to do that. | |
| But it's only done through your support, your partnership. | |
| That's what allows us to send truckloads of food across the country, truckloads of clothing and other items like clean water. | |
| Reality doesn't hit until it happens. | |
| So it slaps you in the face, it feels like. | |
| Or when you read headlines like this, what will you do when you can't buy or sell anything on the internet without your UN mandate digital identity chip? | |
| Again, when you start looking at it, sounds like a revelation thing. | |
| Exactly. | |
| They look like the mark of the beast. | |
| But you know what? | |
| By that time, it's going to be too late. | |
| Yeah. | |
| I think what you ought to do is consider what are the chances of you being prepared with food and having the opportunity to share the gospel with your neighbor. | |
| And it happens through food. | |
| Or what are the chances that you're caught unaware without food today? | |
| And being prepared. | |
| Natural disasters are happening more frequent than anybody expected. | |
| And guess what? | |
| Most people are not prepared today. | |
| But what are the chances that you call today and you say, you know what? | |
| I'm going to start making a plan to gather some food and call the number on the screen and be prepared today and not be caught unaware. | |
| That's right. | |
| Instead, be prepared. | |
| I want you to do this. | |
| I want you to call the number and have a conversation with our operators and find out what it is that you need. | |
| And we're going to work with you because this companies are working with you to give you what you need according to what you can afford. | |
| I'm trying to let you pay monthly installments. | |
| That's what they're doing. | |
| That's with Lion Energy, New Mana, Grid Dan Chowdown, the Seisha Water Company. | |
| So the number to call is 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Or better yet, go to their website, jimbakershow.com and call us and let's walk through the website together. | |
| How about that? | |
| Amen. | |
| And I want to just talk about this. | |
| Revelation chapter 13 right here, it says in verse 15: it was permitted to give breath to the image of the beast so that the image of the beast could both speak and cause those whoever would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. | |
| And it makes everyone small and great, rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, the beast's name, or the number of its name. | |
| And I hear a lot of people say, you know, in the last days that they will even seek to deceive the very elect. | |
| And I've thought about that. | |
| You know, the very elect, the very elect of our church bodies, these are men who understand the scripture, who understand the power of God, who have probably seen the power of God if they're called the elect. | |
| So I've prayed, God, how would these men who are the elect, women who are the elect, be deceived? | |
| Well, Mondo, if you have not prepared and a day comes upon you unaware, and I'm just speaking to our grandparents and our parents out there, and you look at your child, your son, your daughter, your grandson, your granddaughter, and the world has gone into this situation where you cannot buy or sell without a mark and they're starving. | |
| Mondo, people will compromise. | |
| That is where people will compromise. | |
| We see it over and over right now with natural disasters. | |
| What makes you think it's not going to compromise in that time? | |
| That's right. | |
| Where people say, well, you know what? | |
| I'm willing to do it for my family. | |
| I'm willing to do it for my family. | |
| But friends, I'm going to tell you the best thing you could do for your family right now is prepare ahead of time. | |
| A foolish person sees a storm coming and does nothing about it. | |
| Friends, if you knew there was a hurricane and you lived on the eastern seaboard and there was a hurricane in a couple of days going to hit your home, would you just continue to sit there and act like nothing would happen? | |
| Absolutely not. | |
| These people who are devastatingly going through a wildfire right now in California, they know the fire is approaching their home. | |
| Do you think they just continue to sit in their home and pretend like nothing's happening? | |
| Absolutely not. | |
| Friends, we know a storm is coming because the Bible says a storm is coming. | |
| We have peace through Jesus Christ, and we have peace through giving preparation to our families because he has allowed us that time. | |
| Friends, we see the season is coming. | |
| We'll never know the day or the hour. | |
| We'll never claim to know the day or the hour. | |
| If someone does, I'll tell you, friends, they're not right. | |
| They're wrong. | |
| But we know a season. | |
| We know when the leaves start turning. | |
| Summer is near. | |
| And friends, we are seeing a culmination of prophetic events like no other generation has ever seen before. | |
| That is why we will continue to get on this broadcast and say, prepare your home, prepare your church, prepare your city, prepare your state. | |
| Wherever you are, ensure that you are prepared to take care of your family, friends. | |
| Because whenever things happen, I'll be the first to say this. | |
| The government's not going to come and ensure that you're taken care of and eating three square meals a day and have clean clothes and have a shelter over you. | |
| They can do what they can try to do. | |
| But, friends, resources are going to be scarce, and you need to ensure that you and your family are prepared. | |
| Call that number. | |
| It's 1-888-988-1588 or go to jimbakershow.com. | |
| You can shop all the affiliate programs. | |
| And friends, I say this message with all seriousness. | |
| I say this message because I truly believe this message, that we will go through hard times, but that we do have a good savior, Jesus Christ, that allows us to have peace through these hard times, Mondo. | |
| And I know when I'm prepared in any situation, whether it be in my vehicle, I have a backpack that I know if my tire goes flat or if my, you know, something happens and I need to get home, I can get my family home. | |
| I have a peace of mind, friends. | |
| What we're trying to do from this platform is just simply help you prepare yourself to have a peace of mind for you and for your family. | |
| You never have to pick up that phone and call the number. | |
