Never Thought It Would Grow 00:15:28
Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show coming to you from the village of Morningside, USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.
Today, our special guests are the founders of Grid Down Chowdown Beef Company, Jordan and Nace Roberts.
Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo De La Vega.
And now, live from Gray Street at Morningside, USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker.
Hello, you're watching Jim Baker's PTL Television Network.
This is the Jim Baker Family Show.
Mondo was just a Jim Baker show, and then they switched it to the Jim Baker Family Show.
Now it's just me and Mondo.
We're the family part of the Jim Baker family show.
As long as you got one Baker, right?
I had somebody the other day, sweet, sweet partner, maybe, you know, they watched here and there intermittently.
They told me and they said, hey, you know, I love seeing you on the show, but what's your relationship with Jim Baker?
I said, well, he's actually, he's my father.
You know, we bantered for a little bit because she's like, no way, friends, I know I don't look like him, but I promise you that he is my father.
Although the mustache maybe may help a little bit, but it definitely did not help at all.
But no, Jim Baker, yeah, he adopted me when I was four years old.
I've been with him for 25 years now, Mondo.
Can you believe that?
And no, no, you've been with him for 25, 26 years.
You have a year up on me.
You have a year up on me.
One.
One year up on me.
Yep.
Mondo was a little bit older, though.
Mondo was like in his 20s whenever Pastor Jim said, hey, you're going to come help me work with me and then eventually, you know, become my son a few months later.
You know, what's so funny is when I was working at the Dream Center, I was being offered several jobs with other ministries.
Yeah.
And Pastor Jim came along and I prayed about where to go because he said, hey, in about a month, I'm leaving and pray about coming with me.
And I had several offers on the table, but I can tell you, I cannot imagine my life being somewhere else.
And it's been God's blessing.
And I always tell people this.
Don't just pray for the gifts that God has given you and don't even just pray for the calling that God has given you.
But more importantly, pray for the will of God in your life.
Amen.
God's will will align with the gifts and the calling that he has set before you.
But understanding God's will is going to be something that God is going to bless tremendously because his promises are real.
But I never imagined 26 years later to be part of the ministry, to be on the show, let alone having my own program.
But it's all because of following God's will for my life.
And for you, you have followed God's will by supporting this program, standing with us.
And I can tell you that you have been part of our journey the same way with Ricky.
I mean, I look at Ricky throughout the years.
I never thought that Ricky would grow up to be the man that he is today.
He never thought I'd grow up.
I thought he was worth saying he would never grow that beautiful mustache.
He never thought I would grow up.
No, but you have fallen into God's will for your life.
And you follow a path, you know, go into the army and serve our great nation.
But yet God has always called you to be a part of this ministry.
Let me ask you this, Ricky.
How did you know God called you to this ministry to serve where you're serving today?
Yeah, I'll say, you know, when I left home the first time to go to college down in Dallas, Texas, my heart was, you know, consistently yearning to be at home.
I thought it was homesickness.
That's what I really thought it was.
I thought, you know, I'm homesick.
I had to been in one area of the United States, which was that Branson, Missouri area, my whole life.
And so I thought I'm just homesick.
I then came back home.
I got the opportunity to serve in the ministry.
I actually was working in shipping.
I was packing boxes.
I wasn't really doing anything ministerial, but I was just helping out here at the ministry.
And then I felt like the Lord told me, hey, you need to join the United States Army.
I said, he must be talking to someone behind me because there's no way he's talking to me.
I joined the army, Mondo, and I thought I got that same feeling again.
I went through the basic training.
I went through all my specialty schools.
I got put into unit, and I was feeling that missing home sensation.
I thought, okay, I must just be getting homesick.
Friends, I realized I really wasn't missing home.
I'll be honest with you.
I wasn't really even missing the geographical location.
While I love Missouri and I love being a Missourian, I wasn't even missing Missouri.
What I was missing was being subject to leadership that helped me preach and live the gospel for my own life.
That's what I was missing.
And so I realized, hey, you know, I'm going to live either A, how I want to live and do what I want to do, or I'm going to live for Christ 100% fully.
You know, I believe that I was doing the will of God when the Lord told me to go join the army, join the military, go get the specialty training that I need to go get.
So I was living in the will.
But when God said, hey, it's time to come home, I listened to that as well.
I was in a point of my military career where I was advancing, progressing quite beautifully.
I was moving forward fast.
I was getting my ranks the way I needed to get them.
I was in a really good spot.
And so it's kind of funny.
It's like the Lord gave this beautiful platform for me to be able to share the gospel with other soldiers, to get high up in the ranks.
And then all of a sudden, he's like, oh, by the way, we're going to move you on to the next thing.
So I asked the Lord often, Mondo.
I said, you know, why take me through that season and then why put me back into the ministry?
And I believe it was for a reason.
I believe because in these last days, we're going to suffer trials and tribulations.
I truly stand by that.
They may not be the physical trials and tribulations everyone sees.
It may not be physical war, friends, but I gained so much knowledge about spiritual warfare during that time that is now applicable to the church.
We're facing issues, we're facing trials, we're facing tribulations consistently as the church.
The American church is now, I believe, starting to enter into an age of persecution where we will be persecuted.
But friends, when you realize that we have the Almighty God standing in front of us, it is easy to put on the full armor of God and fight for him.
If you know your general is the best general, the general who has never lost a war, never lost a battle, never even lost a minute of forward progression, and he tells you to put on some armor and stand behind me, friends, I'm going to do that.
And so that's why it's kind of, you know, long, long answer for your short question, Mondo.
But I knew the Lord had called me to come back here.
I knew that it was a call from him because I felt a consistent beckoning at my heart.
That it couldn't be any normal physical circumstances.
It wasn't a person.
It wasn't a geographical location.
It felt like a genuine tug of the Holy Spirit saying, okay, now it's time for you to go, you know, to college.
Now it's time for you to go into the military.
Now it's time for you to come home and serve under the man of God, which is Pastor Jim Baker.
Serve alongside of your brother and your sisters and serve the ministry.
See, whatever I say to do, do it.
And that's kind of where I'm at.
But I love the fact that you said you listen.
Amen.
One of the key things, the first step to understanding your call, the will of God for your life, is to learn to listen to his voice.
Because you listen, no matter what is happening around you, no matter what decisions are being made for you, through you, by you, it's understanding that if you allow God to interrupt you and listen to his voice for the will for your life, that would change the trajectory of your life, your marriage, your business, your ministry.
Because you may be doing something out of his season, yet you think is the season to write a book.
But maybe it's not the time to write the book.
Maybe it's not a time to start your business.
Maybe it's a time for you to get in prayer and listen to his voice.
And this is what I noticed about Ricky is throughout his whole journey, he learned to pray.
You're a man of prayer.
I love praying.
It's the only thing that keeps me rooted and grounded.
I mean, I find that if I don't pray, and Mondo, we've had this conversation before, when I get into a lifestyle where I am not praying and I feel like I can figure it out on my own, that's when I, the roller coaster, it's like a roller coaster.
That's when the roller coaster starts going down, man.
That's when we start progressing away from God.
Prayer is that thing that keeps me tethered to the Holy Spirit.
And I would say that, you know, it's the thing that keeps my hip conjoined with the Holy Spirit's hip.
Lean on my own understanding.
That's right.
And so that's why, you know, I'm a man of prayer.
I'll take everything to prayer.
And if, you know, those people who say, hey, I'll go pray for you.
You know, something like, oh, something's wrong with my memo.
You know, something's wrong with my dad.
I wish he'd be like, oh, brother, I'll be praying for you.
And then they walk off separate ways.
Hey, I've gotten to this lifestyle.
So, okay, well, then I don't care where we are.
We can be in a big box store.
We can be in the middle of a drive-through.
We can be at a fast food restaurant.
I don't care where we are.
Brother, we're going to grab those hands.
We're going to pray right now.
We're going to bind whatever needs to be bound.
We're going to loose whatever needs to be loose because prayer works.
Prayer is effective.
Amanda, what I found is we were at Aldi, my wife and I, Brooke.
We're at Aldi and we had just checked out.
And I don't know if you know how this place works, but they don't give you bags.
And I had forgotten our bags.
It was my job to get the bags to load the groceries up.
I had forgotten them.
So we had to shuffle off to the side to start trying to rearrange all of our stuff to figure out how we're going to get this in the vehicle.
And some lady came up and tapped me on the shoulder and she goes, Hey, would you pray for me?
I said, I didn't know who she was.
I turned around.
I said, Oh, absolutely.
I don't care.
I don't know who she is.
We never had any contact with each other.
I said, Absolutely.
What do you need prayer for?
Because my husband just passed away.
So we prayed for her.
I got the opportunity to, you know, just pray a prayer of peace over her life for her family.
I said, you know, grieving is important.
That it's important not to put that on the back burner, friends.
Whenever you're going through a traumatic life experience, you will grieve.
You will have heartache.
You will have hurt.
Friends, you don't have to push those off and act like they're unholy things.
No, friends, that is all part of the healing process.
So we kind of walked through that for about five minutes and then we went our separate ways.
And I said, Brooke, what a wonderful thing it is that this is what true ministry is.
It's not televisions.
It's not getting up behind a pulpit.
Well, all those things are wonderful because they can lead people to the cross and they can lead people to Christ.
I'd rather do that all day long.
Let's go stand in the middle of a grocery store and pray with each other.
Let's go find the devil where he needs to be bound in the middle of a fast food restaurant.
Why?
Because that is ministry.
And the people around you can say, hey, he doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk, which is where our generation needs to be.
Well, it's so true because on my way back from DC, I sat next to a former DEA.
Yes.
And we started talking.
Yet in the middle of that talk, he looks at me and says, I would have never thought in my whole career that I would be sitting here next to a next gang member asking for prayer.
It feels like an oxymoron.
Yeah, we're in the middle of 30,000 feet discussing life.
Amen.
And this former DEA and I began to pray.
Amen.
He was not a believer.
He's not a person that went to church.
But he leaned over and said, The last three weeks of my life, I knew that I needed to get my life right with God.
Wow.
And I want to tell you something.
Sometimes you have to understand what spiritual discernment is because you can get caught up in all everything that's going around you or even in your own self.
The Bible says that we are a generation that we love ourselves.
We're a generation that it's all about us.
And I want to tell you something.
It's not about you.
It's about him and understanding spiritual discernment in the midst of good times, chaos, heartbreaks, and disappointments.
Can you discern the moment that you're in?
I spent Thanksgiving with my wife's family and I sat next to one of the most famous people I've ever met in my whole entire life.
Next to Jim Baker, of course, right?
But one of the most famous people that if I tell her, if I tell you her name, you will know who this person is and her family.
Yet in the middle of all the good celebration, she leans over and she says, You're a reverend, aren't you?
I said, Yes, I am.
She said, Can you pray for me?
I need prayer.
My career is changing.
My life is changing.
I need you to pray for me.
And I heard that you were going to be here.
And the first thing I thought about is asking for prayer.
I want to tell you something.
No matter where you are.
The Bible says, and again, I have learned two things.
One, don't just fall in love with the gifts of the Spirit.
Most importantly, learn to develop the fruit of the Spirit.
Because before an unbeliever gets to know you, they will see your fruits.
Before they get to know your gifts, they know the fruits of the Spirit.
And that lady realized that I was a minister, but it's not because I was preaching.
No, it's because of the fruit, the way you carry yourself, the way you carry a conversation.
But spiritual discernment will lead you to someone that is broken.
Listen, not everybody that needs help is ready to receive the gospel.
They have to be ready in their spiritual life, in their mind, in their whole being to meet the gospel at the very precise moment.
But the question is, will you be able to discern that moment?
Amen.
Amen.
Sometimes you're just planting seeds.
Those people don't realize.
They want to reap the harvest instantaneously.
It's not always how it works.
Friends, sometimes you're just planting the seed of salvation.
You're planting the seed of Jesus and planting the seed of how much Jesus loves them.
I want to read this to you, friend.
If you have your Bible, go ahead and open up to 1 Peter chapter 4.
I'm going to start with verse 7.
Mondo, it's titled End Time Ethics.
It says, the end of all things is near, therefore be alert and sober-minded for prayer.
Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others as a good steward of the varied grace of God.
If anyone speaks, let it be as the one who speaks God's words.
If anyone serves, let it be from the strength that God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything.
To him be the glory and the power forever and ever.
And I'm going to continue to read verse 12, friend, because this is important.
It says, dear friends, don't be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes at you to test you as if something unusual were happening to you.
Instead, rejoice as you share in the suffering of Christ so that you may also rejoice with the great joy when his glory is revealed.
If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed because the spirit of glory and God rests on you.
Friends, if you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed.
If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, the spirit of glory and God rests on you.
We need that preach from the pulpit more because, friends, there is going to be a persecution that comes where people may laugh, they may mock, they may point their fingers at you for believing in Jesus Christ.
But friends, the word of God says here, when you're ridiculed for his name, you're blessed.
And when you're ridiculed for his name, the spirit of glory and God rests on you.
If you want true peace, let the spirit of God rest on you.
If you want true understanding, let the spirit of God rest on you.
If you want to be blessed, friends, you're going to be ridiculed for his name's sake.
I have a video from Pastor Jim Baker, founder of PTL, founder of Morningside Ministries.
And I think this is going to bless you.
But he's talking about peace, safety, and darkness.
Friends, we are living in those times.
I want you to watch this and really pay attention to what he has to say about the end times.
I'm going to give you some scripture that I believe God has given me for today.
Suddenly Destruction Comes 00:06:36
1 Thessalonians 5, 3.
Now listen to me.
This is what God is speaking to me over and over and over again.
For when they say peace and safety, and you know what that word, peace and safety, you know what that means in the Greek also?
It's prosperity.
Can you believe that?
So when they cry, peace and safety and prosperity, then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
Suddenly, these things are going to happen.
And we're in the time where perilous things are going to happen.
And the suddenly is going to happen.
And God's people need to be ready to preach the gospel when they shall say peace and safety.
And that's what you're hearing a lot over here in 1 Thessalonians.
And then suddenly destruction come up upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
But you, brethren, now listen to me.
You, brethren, are not in darkness.
that that day should overtake you as a thief.
That's why you've got to get into the word.
I have pastors tell me, no, we don't want to talk about it.
We don't want to talk about the last days.
We don't want to talk about politics.
We don't want to talk about what's happening.
But I'm telling you, if you don't know what the Bible says, God let me go to his university for five years.
And I studied the word and come to find out what was coming on the earth.
And he said, Jim, I want you to be a watchman.
I want you to watch.
And let me finish this little part.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief.
See, everybody says he's coming as a thief in the night.
He is coming as a thief in the night, but not for the church.
Not for the Christian.
He said, I'm going to let you know.
I'm going to tell you.
And here's the things.
We're going to find out where we are right now.
And ye are all the children of light and the children of the day.
We are not of the night or of the darkness.
Therefore, let us not sleep as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Wow.
That suddenly is near, people.
Amen.
Amen.
A true watchman, Jim Baker.
Friends, he has been preaching this message for 20 years and we stand behind it.
The church needs to get prepared.
You know, we have the Grid Down, Chowdown Brothers with us here today.
We have Jordan and Nase Roberts.
Want to thank you guys for being on the broadcast.
Day two with them.
Come on, you guys look like you guys look like ranchers.
I know you are, but you know, you guys look like ranchers too.
I want to ask you guys some questions.
Let's get more into the political realm because you guys, you know, I believe you guys are standing on the right side of the aisle, no pun intended, but you guys love America.
You love what America stands for.
You love the freedoms that America has.
And like you said on past broadcasts, you vote the Bible.
You vote Jesus.
You vote who's going to align best with Jesus.
And friends, I want to talk about something that I saw on Truth Social.
I don't know if anyone has that.
Does anyone have Truth Social?
Truth Social is a new platform out, but Donald Trump posted this, you know, that there will be, I believe he quoted, I'm going to quote this, he said, there'll be hell to pay if nothing is done to free the hostages in Israel.
I want to ask you two this question right here.
Do you believe Trump will strike the Middle East if something isn't done soon?
Man, I tell you what, whenever he got elected the first time, I was like, we are definitely going to be in war in the first six months of his presidency.
And they proved me wrong on that.
I thought by the way he talks and by the way he walks, man, he's going to get us into some trouble.
And so it's very interesting to watch how this man operates.
He's really good.
He wrote the art of the deal, you know, all those things.
He's a businessman.
He knows how to get things done.
So it'll be interesting to see what happens.
I think he's very good at what he does.
So it'll be very interesting to watch and see what he does.
So whether he does actually attack or doesn't, it'll be interesting.
You know, you said something.
You said, you know, it's about him, right?
Like we are literally living in history.
And someone told me, it's not history.
It's his story.
And so right now we're in the middle of his story taking place and he's walking it out.
But we're in his story.
You know, As the Middle East, meaning Israel accelerates in the events alongside parallel Bible prophecy is also accelerating in ways that we've never seen before.
Yet keep your eyes on Israel.
One of the things that God always does is to raise men and women of God that will lead the way for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
Whether you like the entity that is leading the way, it doesn't matter.
The Bible has always showed that when kings try to attack Israel, God always protects his people.
Amen.
There's forerunners.
Study the word.
There's no substitute to the word of God.
I want to tell you something.
If churches begin to preach the word, they will understand where we are in Bible prophecy.
Yet when leaders of nations hear the leader of our nation declare that if you don't release the hostages, they will be held to pay.
That's like going back in Bible history and realizing that if you don't let my people go.
Right.
That's right.
Oh, you're going to get me preaching now.
That's right.
What happens?
I mean, God will show his hand.
And friends, that's not always a hand of mercy and a hand of love.
Sometimes it is a strict hand like a father who needs to correct his children.
And friends, I'll say this.
Israel is still the apple of God's eye.
The Lord still loves Israel.
The Lord still loves his land and he still calls the Jewish people his people.
Now, we gratefully have been grafted into that.
There's no longer Jew or Gentile, male or female, slave or free.
We're all the body of Christ.
But friends, he still loves Israel.
You know, there's a replacement theology going around that the church has replaced Israel.
Friend, I'll tell you right now, that's not true.
Israel still stands as the apple of God's eye.
Food Shortage Amid Conflict 00:06:37
You know, war across the country, though, Mondo, we've seen this since the beginning of war, that it always affects with economies.
It always affects with food storage.
It always affects the things that are practical to the human life.
Whenever World War I and World War II were happening, yes, the economy was booming for a little bit there because of production.
We were producing weapons, we were producing food and things.
But the average American person, people don't realize we're struggling to eat.
Why?
Because all of our food is being sent elsewhere.
We're sending billions of dollars in AIDS to other countries right now.
We're sending billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine.
Yet we have a food shortage here in America.
I want to watch this real quick.
It's a video on food shortage.
I want to get your guys' opinion on this right when we get back.
Yeah.
Across America, stubbornly high food prices are compounding the problems of hunger and food scarcity.
At Food Bank for New York City, workers are busy moving and packing donated food headed to local food pantries and soup kitchens.
We are one of the largest hunger relief organizations serving all five boroughs.
We operate and support over 90% of the zip codes that are located here in our city.
Get asked, like, who are the clients that you serve and what do they look like?
Well, they look like you and I do.
Rhonda Adams, River Food Pantries executive director, knows food insecurity doesn't discriminate.
It's hard to feed a family.
I ran everything as a volunteer for the first about eight years and we just got really, really busy.
So now this is actually my full-time job.
I'm here six days a week.
What we see now is that more and more working families are visiting local food pantries and soup kitchens.
And actually the smallest percentage of those visiting soup kitchens or food pantries are homeless men.
More people are joining the line for food at the SOS food pantry in Key West.
Folks needing help putting food on the table.
Had you ever needed food assistance before?
No.
So this is the first time you've needed food assistance.
There's this false mentality like, oh, these folks just want a handout.
When really, I think people are really struggling to just make ends meet.
Many are employed, according to the Robin Hood report, which found that two in three New Yorkers who visited food pantries were also working.
Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana serves 12 parishes across the region.
Each month, about 25,000 people reach out to the food bank for support.
Officials say they have seen an increase in the number of people in need, especially during the holidays.
It brings a lot into our home.
It's a little bit, as we say in Venezuela, a little bit that gives.
So this is something to move us forward.
Because, I mean, the little money that comes into our home is not enough.
As in need, it's increasing.
What's going on with the supply?
It's definitely decreasing.
Normally, meat is available when families come in here for assistance.
But you can see from this refrigerator here, it's empty.
There's usually meat.
Like, we get pork chops, we get sometimes short ribs or whatever.
You get a freezer.
There's nothing.
You know, no meat.
Texas is now the second highest state in the country for food insecurity.
We're not insulated from the costs that other people are experiencing as well.
We're spending about $1.1 million a month to purchase food, which is just really not sustainable.
Unfortunately, we are anticipating this to continue.
Last year, we estimated about 178,000 people were food insecure.
And this year, we're anticipating about 208,000.
And that's just in Travis County alone.
You know, Mondo, I truly believe we live in the greatest country in the world.
I love Israel, but I believe the United States of America is a lighthouse to so many.
Yet we have people in the United States of America dying to hunger.
We have people in the United States of America who are food insecure.
And that statistic is growing at an alarming rate.
People who are saying we are insecure on being able to feed our families on a week-to-week basis.
Kids in school, sometimes the only meal they get is at school.
That's right.
Yet, when you do the research, this is happening in America's greatest cities, in America's rural towns.
Yet, how can that be that America being the greatest nation in the world has a deficit of feeding our needy?
And I want to tell you something.
We have to understand that if we don't come together in agreement, we will never fix this problem.
That's right.
How is it that we send billions of dollars to Ukraine, yet we don't have enough money to feed the poor?
That's right.
It doesn't make any sense.
It doesn't.
No, it just shows you our priorities are wrong.
You know, at the end of that video, you guys were just watching with us.
He opened up the meat freezer, opened up the meat fridge, and said it's completely empty.
I mean, I know we have a Donald Trump presidency, and a lot of Christians are now kicking up their feet.
They're laying back and they're saying everything's good to go for another four years.
I believe this is a time of reprieve, friend.
Four years where the church gets another opportunity to prepare themselves and prepare their households.
But he's opening up a fridge and there is nothing there to give out.
I mean, churches should be able to open up those fridges and have stuff to give.
That's where you guys step in and that's where kind of your mission aligns with that.
Yeah, and that was really one of the things that me and Nace wanted to talk about because we see it.
We see it even happening with GridDown.
We saw the sales go down.
It's not about the sales to us.
Guys, it's about getting the church prepared.
And so I saw, I was like, uh-oh, the church is starting to get relaxed.
They're starting to put their feet up.
It's football season.
Trump just won the election.
It's Thanksgiving.
That's right.
You know what I'm saying?
And so people are starting to relax a little bit.
And God doesn't, there's no verse in the Bible that says, hey, be lazy.
That's right.
I mean, that's what people are, that's what Christians are doing.
I mean, why is the top people in the world, the wealthiest people, billionaires?
Why is it non-they're openly non-Christians?
Yeah.
Why?
Because they're grinders.
They go.
Whether it's a good season, whether the presidency or not, like whoever they believe in, they're grinders.
They want the wealth.
Yeah, they're the ones waking up at 4 a.m., going to sleep at like, you know, midnight and doing it all over every single day to ensure that their goal is met and their timelines that they have set in place are also met.
Yet we have believers, like you said, because we had a good election, most of the church would agree with that.
And we had, you know, maybe a good football season for them.
Population Shifts in Agriculture 00:05:34
Holidays are kicking off.
They're really kicking their feet up and they're saying, hey, it is not a season to prepare right now.
But we don't know, man.
I mean, especially these next four years.
Though Donald Trump has been elected into office, that doesn't mean that it's an automatic, easy four years, does it?
No, not at all.
When you look at the spectrum of where we are economically and you get reports that, let me read you this one because I think it puts things into perspective, right?
This is a report just a few days ago.
Costco is recalling over 10,000 units of Kirkland's signature pasture race eggs.
What do you do when a whole line of eggs is being taken away from the marketplace?
Now that means that other people are going to get greedy and now a dozen eggs is going to cost you more than it did hours before this news broke.
What are you going to do if a natural disaster hits farmlands?
And the farmland industry is in trouble right now.
There is a war against the farmers.
Why are there a war with farmers?
Let's talk about that.
Yeah, I was going to say, I have some notes here.
If you go back to 1950, I did a lot more research, but if you go back to the 1800s, there was 90% of the population had some type of agricultural work, whether it's chickens, 90% of the entire population of the United States.
Of the United States.
Now, if you go to 1950, 20 million farmers and ranchers, right?
If you go to 1970, 10 million farmers and ranchers.
2024, 2 million farmers and ranchers, right?
It's 2%.
Now it was 90%.
It went down to like 35% back in the 1900s, 25% to 35%.
Now we're at 2% of America's population are feeding the other 98%.
Right?
You hear that?
2% of the population is feeding the other 98% while we're buying all of our beef from New Zealand and we're not raising it here like we should.
Like even with Larry, Larry is one of our ranchers in Oklahoma that we partnered with.
He's a fellow believer.
During the pandemic, he was losing money left and right, barely able to keep his second.
He's fourth generation ranch going.
And they don't make it easy.
I mean, if you go back to the older days, the guys that were ranchers, they were making a lot of money.
Yeah.
So, I mean, there's a reason why the ranching industry, the agriculture industry is under attack.
That's right.
Do you feel like there's a war on ranchers?
Because we've seen that they've been kind of being even restricted on the amount of water they're allowed to use on their ranches, the amount of space population that they're allowed to use, you know, head per acre, that kind of thing.
They're all being attacked on these minute issues.
But the water is a big one, Mondo, that they're not being allowed to get all the water that they need to grow their crops or to grow their cattle.
Do you believe that there's a war on the small independent farmer or rancher in America?
Yeah, I mean, whenever you can take, when you can control the food supply chain, when you can take it out of the hands of the small independent family Christian-owned company, and you can put it in big business, I mean, you have like four big meat packers in the United States, and they're not owned by the United States.
There's a lot of foreign investors that are involved in that.
I mean, you saw it during COVID, whether it is Tyson or someone else.
A lot of, we've let other people, other countries come into our country and be in control of our food products.
I want to ask you that then.
We see China buying up farmland across the United States of America and even trying to buy a large meat producer, such, I won't say their names, but large meat producers of poultry and beef.
How do you feel whenever other countries are allowed to come into the United States of America and purchase farmland here in our America?
Because I know these other countries wouldn't allow us to go do that.
Right.
And I've heard different stories from different people to where they're exporting all their production back home.
You know, whether they use up all the water that's around locally, they start drying up the water locally and sending stuff back overseas.
You know, or so, I mean, here's the thing we have to think about.
With the food supply chain being fragile, and it is, okay?
We saw it during COVID.
You know, if something were to happen, the grocery stores are going to dry up really fast.
Yes.
I mean, just look at the time.
We saw 24 maximum 48 hours.
I mean, grocery stores were just left with products that nobody wants to eat at the end of the day.
I mean, you'd go there and there'd be some things that people wouldn't eat even if they're starving.
And it proves that they're because they're still there on the shelves, you know, 48 hours later, but empty shelves.
So when we allow other countries to come in and own the biggest meat packers, the meat food production in America, and that something happens globally or domestically, where do you think their first priority is going to be?
Is it going to be giving it to the American people or is it going to be going to their people?
I think those are things that we have to look at.
Truly.
When you look at the investment companies, let me read your report because this is so key to the changes that is happening in the field of the farmland industry, the water industry, the power industry, just to name a few.
But this is a report.
Texas launches multi-state lawsuit against accusing BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street of using ESG investments to manipulate.
Chili Season Recipes 00:15:55
This one's talking about the energy markets.
But there's other reports that they're manipulating even the water market.
They're manipulating the consumption of cattle.
And it goes on and on and on, all under the banner of climate control, ESG, understanding that if they can centralize the way we do business from farmers to consumers, now you have major corporations interfering in the businesses.
And if you don't work under their law, now what that means is either you're going to lose or cooperate with your farmland.
Lose or cooperate.
We are at a transition point in America because we have become lovers of money.
We've become greed driven.
There's not enough money that will satisfy them.
The Bible talks about that men, kings, rulers, decision makers will sit at a table, just like we're doing right now, and they will lie to each other.
They will deceive one another.
Not because they're good.
The Bible says it's because of their evil heart, their evil intent.
I want to tell you something.
If there's a message in this is this, as a man thinketh, so is he.
Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Always check the heart behind everything because what they speak is what they have hidden in their heart.
And the heart, the Bible says, is a very deceitful one.
The heart is evil.
I want to tell you something.
We have some evil, greedy leaders that want nothing but destruction and deception.
Yet the Bible says in Matthew 24, I know what you're thinking.
You're always talking about the word.
Yes, because there's no substitution to the word.
That's right.
It's not my opinion.
It's not your opinion.
And the biggest problem we've allowed with social media is that we have allowed ourselves to be a voice without the word.
You got to preach the word.
You got to believe the word.
You got to stand in the word.
You got to hide the word.
Because the Bible says in Matthew 24, three times, Ricky, that we will be deceived.
That's right.
Yet we're watching farmers being deceived by the manipulation of an investment company to manipulate with the banner of ESG.
Yeah, it is changing our way of life.
It is changing the way we consume products.
I believe that God has put aside companies here in America that believe in his word, that love you, that love this nation, that want to do good.
Amen.
Just like you guys.
Grid Down Chowdown is one of the companies that we have been looking for for almost two decades now.
20 years.
Because I want to tell you something.
There will be a time the Bible predicts that we will have no food to eat.
That doesn't pack churches today.
That doesn't bring revival.
That doesn't bring, but yeah, I want to tell you that it is going to bring people together.
But very few are called and chosen to be able to prepare.
Why do you guys feel that you guys, your company has been called to prepare, not only to prepare, but to offer a product that we have not heard of for almost two decades?
I mean, for us, the best preparation, like, this is great.
Great preparation.
The number one thing that everybody out there needs to understand, if you're watching this, is that the only preparation that matters is to make sure that your name is in the Lamb's book of life, right?
At the end of the day, this is me and Nase's kingdom business right here.
And in this, there's a salvation track, and you guys read it on episode one, right?
I'm sorry, I might read it again.
We'll read it again because it's the thing that matters.
We can't take this meat with us.
But what this meat does is it gives us options.
Without options, there's going to be people that will make decisions that they shouldn't have made, and they know they shouldn't have made them, but they're going to make them to take care of their loved ones.
What would you do for your kid if your kid was starving?
I would sell my car, my father.
Would you compromise your standards to make sure that, you know what I'm saying?
There's going to be a lot of people that won't have options.
And when you don't have options, you make bad choices, right?
Now, here's the thing is, is that this is me and Nace's dream, is that whether you're a pre-trib, mid-trib, pre-wrath person, it doesn't matter to me, is that these packets are going to outlast us at some point in this company is that we're going to be gone.
He talks about the day that we're going to be gone.
Why?
In the twinkling of an eye, right?
And the quickest way to a man's heart is that if churches have this in their storehouse, in their pantries, if homes all across America have this, people are going to be going and finding this stuff.
And there's going to be a salvation track that leads them right to the Lord.
Leads them right to Jesus.
And I hope when I'm up there, me and Nates just hear a gong or a bell to cheating, you know, like the lottery, like the casino or whatever.
And you start hearing souls coming up, you know, being one for the Lord.
And I mean, that's the biggest thing about our heart is that it's not about making money or making sales or whatever.
I want the church to be prepared and I want to lead people to Jesus even when I'm on the ground.
You had a church order how many thousand pounds?
What did you say that was?
10,000?
10,000.
10,000 pounds.
And this food, this meat has a shelf life of 10 to 15 years.
It is freeze-dry.
It's available right now.
Amen.
And I want to tell you something.
If you lock in to subscribe, what happens if you become a monthly subscriber of the Grid Down Child Down?
If you become a monthly subscriber, your priority.
So you're always going to get your order on that month.
Now, we just talked before we just got on the show, but if you order the 24 servings, we're going to give you a free four servings.
Whoa, wait, what?
I want you guys to be prepared.
Wait a minute, say that again.
So if you order the 24 servings or higher, we'll give you one free four servings for that order.
Wow.
And then the other benefits is your priority, right?
You use JBS, you get 10% off, and then it's free to sign up, free to cancel, and you get another, it's like another 5% off on, or actually another 10% off.
Whoa.
When you're a subscription.
And your first priority, like you said.
Your first priority.
So that's right there at the beginning of every month.
They're not going to have to worry if it's going to be late.
You guys are packing that first and getting it sent out.
Right.
Yeah.
So subscriptions, I know you said free to cancel anytime.
Is there a minimum time limit I have to be locked in for?
Can I sign up three months later?
Say, hey, you know, due to whatever reason, I need a locker.
Can I go for five, 10 years?
What's my subscription level?
So what we see right now is people love it and then they start using it once they build up their subscription.
They up it.
There's not very many people that cancel.
Yeah, we just get it.
So it just keeps growing.
Right now we just opened back up.
So if this is something that the Lord is placing on your heart, placing that tug, just kind of like you had that little tug, like, I need to go back home.
I need to be in this area.
If you're filling that tug, whether for your family, whether for yourself, or whether for your church, now's the time to go ahead and get locked in because it may be a minute before we open subscriptions back up.
And I just want to, I mean, this will be a really suiting for Ricky, but you know, a great guy named Ricky Bobby.
He says, if you're not first, you're last.
So when you're a subscription, you're first.
You're first.
You're first.
Wow.
I love that.
That's a great theologian.

And you can order as much as you like.
And they're going to work with you.
This is a 10 to 15 year shelf life.
It is grass-fed and grass-finished.
No MRNA vaccines.
Can you imagine that?
This is freeze-dry process and it retains all the nutrients that the meat has.
Only one ingredient is in this, Ricky, and that is beef.
There's no added substitutions.
What I love about this product is that it is not pre-seasoned or pre-salted.
It is made just raw beef.
And I want to tell you something.
You can make it and have all the recipes that you want to do with them.
We got several recipes right here.
This is something that will be just a great option for you.
This right here, Ricky.
Come on.
Misty made this.
I was going to say, you're looking at them.
I'm looking at these guys over here.
These guys are over here.
They're making chili, but they're just their meatloafs.
This is little meatloaf.
It's called the mini meatloafs.
Oh, man.
And you ate one of the last show.
What is it?
Ty shirt.
Oh, fantastic.
You know what I love about it is that it's not greasy.
It's not falling in grease, but it's just hearty.
And it's something that you want to have when you're looking for great, grass-fed, lean meat.
This is something that you want to order today.
Again, visit the website, jimbakershow.com and visit the affiliate page, grid down, chow down, or give us a call.
We want to answer all the questions for you that you have.
The number to call is 1-888-988-1588.
What are you guys doing over there?
Kind of walk us through the process.
Well, I made this chili just for you guys.
And because we've done burgers and we've done some other things on the show, and I was like, you know what?
And your dad's a big fan of chili.
This is chili season right now.
It's starting to cool off.
People are starting to go deer hunting.
And this is the time for chili.
Now, if you guys like this, this is my recipe.
And if you go, it's my wife's recipe.
Oh, don't lie, man.
We said it was your credit.
He said it was his.
It's definitely my wife's.
I stole it from her.
But this is with our beef in it.
And you guys are going to start adding over 100 recipes.
Is that going to be available online as well?
Yes.
So when you order your meat today, make sure that you go to the website, jimbakershow.com.
There are multiple recipes.
I mean, hundreds of recipes that you can do with this beef.
Don't just get stuck on just ordering and putting some away.
Start using it.
Get familiar with the product.
Get familiar with the beef.
Start making some recipes of your own and share them online.
Go to the Facebook of Jim Baker's show and share the recipes with pictures of what you have made with the grid down chowdown beef.
Do you guys find that people use this in their day-to-day lives, not just preparing with it, but they're actually just using it as their normal ground beef?
Yeah, Nace does it.
I do it.
Anytime that we're in a pinch and whatever, I mean, we're using our own beef all the time.
I don't even buy store-bought beef anymore.
So we're using all of our own beef all the time.
And I told Nace, I said, hey, if we sell all of our freeze-dried beef and we don't stock up for ourselves, we're dum-dums.
We got to make sure that we are also preparing for ourselves.
We spend so much time making sure we're taking care of other people that it's easy to forget about taking care of our own families.
That's like, we got to start making sure that we get so much of our own product to be putting back so that our family is also taken care of.
One of the things that I've been doing, I was like, man, I love our beef.
I could eat it forever.
But I started, every time I go to the grocery store, I buy the stuff to make chili.
So I have like several shelves of my chili stuff.
I already got the meat.
I'm going to have all the meat that I need.
But just some of those other things, you know?
So I think that's wise too, you know, just stocking up on those non-perishable items that can go with your meat.
You know, meat will go a long ways, but if you have some other items, it's going to take it even further.
You got to talk about what you just mentioned.
I'm still stunned by that.
So when they order which one?
If you order at least a 24-serving package, then we're going to give you the four-serving package for free.
So anything above the 24, we're going to...
And that's for the first people that lock in the subscription.
Yeah.
And that's a one-time offer that you're doing, right?
So it's kind of encouraging people to open it up, try it, see what it's like without having to open the 24-pack package.
You can open up just four ounce package.
They're getting this.
So let's say it'd be like the first order they get.
They're getting one of these.
They can go ahead and try it.
Exactly.
That's awesome.
That's, I mean, it's incredible, Wanda.
Absolutely.
Give us a call right now, 1-888-988-1588.
Or better yet, go to the website and visit the affiliate page, Grid Down Chowdown.
It's grass-fed, grass-finished.
This freeze-dried raw beef is 15 to 10 to 15 years shelf life.
And what I love about this is that you have the how to rehydrate freeze-dried raw beef.
It shows you the steps, step one, step two, three, four, and five, all the way up to you getting this beef ready for your meal.
So the ingredients, I love this.
90% lean, 10% fat ground beef.
I love the fact that you can get this today.
And if you lock in the subscription, you're going to get a free bonus.
We love free bonuses around here.
So make sure you give us a call, 1-888-988-1588.
So I will say this, just as a side note, I'm a chili connoisseur.
I know you told me that.
Are you going to eat chili like?
I was a little nervous.
I was watching you eat.
I can generally eat it like five nights a week.
My wife knows it's my favorite meal.
I don't care if it's a 120 degree day.
It's piping hot.
The humidity is at 90%, you know, 90% out there.
You can put a hot bowl of chili in front of me.
I'm crushing it.
Eating it right then in there.
I love.
So, is this a recipe that we should add to the you need to add it?
It is instantaneously, and I won't give you any credit, but tell your wife.
Good job on it.
This is incredible.
No, Mondo, to be able to eat comfort food for me, it could be different for you, for you.
Comfort food might be a hamburger for you.
Comfort food might be meatloaf for me, friend, is a bowl of chili.
I don't know why.
I guess I grew up in the home at Jim Baker.
I don't know, Mondo.
My man ate chili so often.
He ate it for breakfast.
I was gonna say he did eat it for breakfast.
Yeah, he didn't, he did not care.
But I think maybe that's where my love for it stemmed because we'd sit there at the table and we'd enjoy a bowl together and we'd have conversation.
I got to just spend time with my father.
But I love it.
And I'm telling you right now, this is some of the best chili I've ever eaten.
And this meat's amazing because, Mondo, you can't tell the difference.
I have done quite a bit of, you know, MRE tasting.
I've done quite a bit of meals ready to eat, those things that are pre-packaged, pre-cooked, or maybe they're not cooked.
You cooked yourself a lot of camping and survival foods.
Mondo, I believe we've tasted probably everything on the market.
And what I love about this is it doesn't taste like any of that.
It tastes like I went to the store, whatever my favorite big box store is, I bought a pound of ground beef and I went home and I cooked it because that's essentially exactly what I did.
Rather than that, Mondo, I know that I didn't get vaccines pumped into it.
I know I didn't get bioengineered meat.
I know that for a fact they weren't trying to 3D print it.
Right.
So you guys don't want 3D printers, do you?
I don't.
Well, I think you do.
I do, just for plastic.
Just for plastic.
I know what's in it.
Start Blessing With Meaningful Gifts 00:00:56
Yeah, Christmas is here.
What better gift to give this Christmas than something that is going to not only last for 10 or 15 years, but something that is going to get people thinking, people that love camping, people that love to go out and hunt, think about those people.
This will be great for your pantry, a church.
Start blessing people with meaningful gifts that are going to matter.
Grid Down Chowdown has done an exceptional job putting everything together just for you.
This Christmas, let it be a Christmas that will be something to remember you by because I want to tell you something.
When they open this package, they're not going to believe it's a great looking package.
It is an American-owned company, American-owned farmers, and American beef.
Become a Subscriber 00:03:03
What better way to say Merry Christmas than a gift that is going to be meaningful today?
We want you to visit the website, jimbakershow.com, become a monthly subscriber of the Great Down Chowdown.
Call us right now, 1-888-988-1588, or go to the website jimbakershow.com and allow yourself to know the information.
There's so many different options from the four servings, 12 servings, 24 servings, 36 servings, 48 servings, 96 servings.
But better than any of all that is that you can mix whatever servings is affordable for you today.
If you're a pastor and you have a church or you're a ministry that loves blessing people, bless people with food that is going to change their lives.
But more importantly, there's something special inside that will be something to be a witness to, meaning that you can share the gospel with someone that you love and let them know that you love them.
But more importantly, you want them to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
Amen.
That's right.
If somebody's on the fence and they're saying, you know, I've looked at a product like this.
I have considered getting it before, but I just don't know.
What would you say to somebody who's a great situation?
How many toilet paper rolls do you have at home?
Probably too many.
I have like six extra packages.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, have you ever been in a situation where you run out and there's none in the house?
And like Jordan said earlier, like if you don't have choices, you have a bad day.
Right?
I mean, you're scooting around all day because you had a bad day.
You ring out.
So why?
I mean, you can live without toilet paper, right?
People did it for a long time.
But why not have more meat?
Because if you run out, then you don't live, right?
At some point.
So to me, it's just like, hey, people worry about you prepare for all the little things that aren't essential, right?
You're losing the idea that actually meat, something that God created, is actually really essential.
One, like you said, Mondo, it's essential.
Two, a lot of ladies, they'll call us and ask about it.
Say, hey, they're like, I want to get this for my grandson.
I was like, and I'll tell her about it.
And I'll say, well, this is another thing you can do.
You can buy it as a gift.
If they're not a believer, that's the way you're going to sneak it to your neighbors.
That's where you're going to sneak it.
Like you said earlier, we're planting seeds.
That's right.
And you can just buy a gift and, oh, I got you this.
I'm thinking about you.
But when they open it out, now it even goes deeper.
It goes to like eternal, right?
And so that would be my take.
And I think it's not that big of a purchase to have insurance.
Do you have car insurance?
Absolutely.
Do you have house insurance?
I have to.
I have life insurance.
Because if you have insurance, you have a bad day, but not a bad life.
Sensitive Spirit in Manufacturing 00:05:53
We spend so much time and money on things that actually don't matter, on insurance policies that actually we won't collect on or will pay off.
At some point, we know what's in the book.
This stuff will happen.
It has happened.
Just in Oklahoma, just a while back, there was over 10 million pounds of meat that was recalled from a factory in Oklahoma.
10 million pounds.
Wow.
I don't know what that costs, but they said this is just the preliminary numbers.
And it just kept on rising.
But there's things like that happen all the time.
I mean, as this is just the beginning of the birth pains.
As the birth pains start to get more intense, we're going to start seeing more problems.
We're going to start seeing more issues.
I think this is something that you should have in your house for food insurance.
I think as times come, just make sure that you're following the Lord, that you're seeking after him, be in his will, like you said.
But we need, it's so important that we have discernment right now.
We're so bombarded with information coming from these things.
That's right.
From information coming from the TVs, from whatever, and from different sources, we have to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit to know what's actually true and what a distraction.
And sometimes it's a fine line because the enemy is really good at his job.
All he needs to do is get us off just a little bit so that we don't, so we're not in the middle of the will of God.
You know, it says in the Bible that even the elect will be deceived.
That's right.
That says a lot.
Even the elect will be deceived.
That means there's going to be something that happens that we're going to believe because we want to.
We want to believe in it.
And there's going to be a lot of people deceived by it.
That's right.
So we've got to be sensitive to the spirit.
You have to be sensitive to the spirit.
Now is not a time to put your feet up.
No.
Amen.
You know, we want to get a little bit of background on you guys.
What was your guys's, you know, what was your guys' business before you got into this?
What did you guys do?
Well, we still do it, but we were in manufacturing.
So my dad started a manufacturing company over 40 years ago to where we do subcontract manufacturing for big companies.
You send us a print and we make it.
So metal, plastic, whatever.
So we've done aerospace, we've done defense, we've done stuff that's been up in the spaceship.
We've done all kinds of things.
Amen.
You guys have been hard workers your whole life?
That was the business that your dad created and then they passed it on to the next generation, the next legacy.
You know, you said your father always said, hey, we need to get prepared, never actually follow through.
But you guys carried on that legacy.
And now your children are going to be able, they'll hear the message of preparation.
They're going to see their fathers prepare because you guys decided, hey, let's take the good word of our father and let's make it turn it into action.
It was like one of those things where you said you felt the Lord calling you to the military and calling you back home and all those things.
What he's doing is he's training you up with skills that you're going to use later for his glory.
We were in manufacturing for a reason.
That's right.
Now we've shifted for a kingdom purpose.
We're still doing manufacturing, but we're doing it for his people.
We're doing it for the church.
We're doing it for the believers.
And you know, this is, it's really funny.
We went to a conference probably four years ago and we got somebody, several well-known pastors prophesied at over us.
And they're like, hey, you guys are going to do something that you never did.
Well, so we just, we're like, we never heard this church.
We tithe at this church.
And another side note is like, we're partnering with you guys, right?
So when they buy from us, they're supporting you guys.
They're supporting our local ranchers.
But also, we told Ricky when we were in South Carolina, we said, I can't be a part of this unless I'm actually giving to your church.
We're going to be giving weekly to your church.
And that's just, that's what the seed we're planting.
Wow.
Amen.
That's amazing.
Friends, I want you to call that number.
It's 1-888-988-1588 or go to jimbakershow.com.
Our affiliate with them is called GridDown Chowdown.
You put a track in every single package, whether it be the, you know, the four servings, excuse me, or the 96 servings.
Yes.
I don't know where my track went.
I had a track, but I was going to, oh, here it is, right here.
I have it right here.
But it is the steps to salvation.
I love this because it's double-sided.
One is how to receive Christ, and the other side is talking about the plan that God has for your life.
You know, I love this right here, Mondo.
It says a lot, but I'm going to put it into a quick synopsis.
It says, you know, God's plan for you is to have peace and to have life.
You know, our problem is that we have separation from God.
God's remedy was the cross, and our response is to receive Christ.
And each one of those has a Bible verse to support each cause, each purpose.
But then you have a prayer of salvation on the end of it.
We want you to pray that prayer of salvation.
Have your family member pray a prayer of that salvation.
And what I found is this is just a good tool to have.
Put it in your pocket.
Carry it in your wallet.
Have it with you all the time.
So you get to share the gospel.
And somebody's like, well, how do I receive Christ?
Hey, you know what?
I'll have it right here.
Let's do this.
Let's step by step walk through this together and let's make sure that you are secured for eternity.
Because that's what this is all about, friends.
Physical preparation, we believe in that.
We believe that that is a message we need to continue to promote.
But friends, spiritual preparation is the most important choice you'll ever make.
Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.
There is only one way to God, and that is through the Son.
And that is through the Son who came down, died on a cross.
But friends, he lived a perfect life and he lived that life.
Why?
So that we could be grafted into the family of Christ.
He died on a cross for you.
He wants you to be with him forever.
And all that is, is saying yes to the Holy Spirit, turning from your wicked ways, turning from the evil ways that we have.
Because, Mondo, we're all born into sin.
But friends, we don't have to stay living in sin.
We have Christ and Christ Jesus who loves us, friends.
You know, Pastor Jim isn't here.
He's on sabbatical right now.
We played a video of him at the beginning of the broadcast, but he always wants us to listen.
Now, he's calling us multiple times today, making sure we are running the ship good.
He wants us to let you know that he loves you, he cares about you, and he can't wait to see you guys again very soon.
And until then, want you to remember this: God loves you.
He really does.
I want to thank you guys for being on the broadcast with us today.
Make sure to call that number.
