The Sea Is Roaring
00:02:10
|
|
| We just got to finish a few comments on chapter 6 of the book of Revelation. | |
| Matthew 24, 29 says, Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory, | |
| and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven or the sky. | |
| This is that great meeting in the sky to the other. | |
| Now, is that clear? | |
| The coming of the Lord is after the tribulation, after the sun and the moon is dark. | |
| The only way you can get us out of of the tribulation is twisting scripture beyond comprehension. | |
| Luke 21, 25 says, and the sun shall be. | |
| There shall be signs in the sun and the moon and in the stars and upon the earth. | |
| Distress of nation with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring men's hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. | |
| Listen to me, the the, the sea is going to roar the, the weather is literally going to go out of control. | |
| It already is out of control this year. | |
| We have seen, i've got uh, several clippings. | |
| I don't have time to do it, but these extremes are telling us something. | |
| God's trying to warn us. | |
| Just a few days ago, the largest hailstone ever found in the history of recorded history and it is from the Weather Service there. | |
|
Sealed 12,000 From Levi
00:15:51
|
|
| That's nothing compared to what's coming and we may get to it in a few moments if we go along. | |
| Revelation, chapter 6, our last verses there, verses 15, 16 and 17. | |
| We've read this, in the Kings Of The Earth powerful sovereigns leaders, and the great men and the rich, the wealthy men, the chief captains, these are the commanders of armies and the mighty men, strong men, and every bondman. | |
| That means people that are serving other people. | |
| You know, some of you work in these hotels you're you're, you work in servitude. | |
| I mean almost, I mean it's just you're serving, you're making beds. | |
| And that's talking about every person. | |
| The rich and the poor are together here in in this event, and every free citizen, every citizen, free man. | |
| Citizen, that means hid themselves in the dens, the grotto, the hiding place, the resort, the caves, the dens in the Greek and in the rocks of the mountains. | |
| Millions of people literally can fit in the caves around Springfield in Branson, Missouri. | |
| Did you know that? | |
| I have a feeling this is might end up being one of the places where people are going to run to. | |
| They have literally carved out of these mountains rooms. | |
| I have never seen them. | |
| I've got to see them. | |
| Somebody's got to get me into these caves to see them. | |
| But i've been told they're like cavernous ballrooms. | |
| They're just huge. | |
| Trucks, trailers can go in them. | |
| They're just room after room after literally what could millions of people can fit. | |
| Plus, we have the natural caves here in this area. | |
| But they said to the mountains and rocks fall on us and hide us, conceal us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath, the anger of the lamb for great, For the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand? | |
| Soon we're going to see where Jesus returns. | |
| So stay with me. | |
| We've got victory coming. | |
| Revelation's victory. | |
| You just got to go through some stuff to get there. | |
| John, in our next chapter, does not go to the seventh seal. | |
| We've dealt with the sixth seal, but he has one of these times where he looks back. | |
| The apostle goes back and will next tell us how the two groups of people will fare during the tribulation. | |
| The 144,000, many call them Jewish evangelists, and we talked about them already. | |
| And the innumerable multitude from all races and nations who have come out of great tribulation, we're going to identify them and see how they're doing as well. | |
| We've already seen that, but we're going to hear more about it. | |
| The seventh seal will not be opened until chapter eight, and then we'll open and see the eighth seal. | |
| Then when we get to chapters 12, 13, and 14, John will flash back to the tribulation time. | |
| And I've got some things to share with you to help you understand how this book was given. | |
| And John keeps going back and forth to make sure it's like he takes another camera angle. | |
| It's like God shows him a vision from the same event, turning over here, you know, to look. | |
| So to help you understand Revelation a little better, there's at least five flashbacks, five interruptions in the book of Revelation where John goes back. | |
| And I think there may be a couple more than that. | |
| John makes these throughout the book of Revelation. | |
| Chapter 7 will be the first of these breaks. | |
| John's 90 years old. | |
| Remember, he goes over what he sees and makes sure we get the picture of his vision. | |
| A little outline to help you bring Revelation into focus. | |
| I don't know if I got to do this last week or not, but this is just a little simple, quick thing. | |
| One, the first four seals are the beginning of sorrows. | |
| The first four seals are the beginning of sorrows. | |
| Seal 5 and 6, the great tribulation. | |
| And then the seventh seal includes the rest of Revelation. | |
| The seventh seal includes the seven trumpets and then the bulls of God's wrath. | |
| So we'll be looking into those. | |
| So Revelation chapter 7, are you there? | |
| Yes, sir. | |
| Flashback number one. | |
| John takes time out to fill us in on more details of the tribulation time. | |
| This chapter shows us God's care and shepherding for his own during the tribulation. | |
| And after these things, I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on the trees. | |
| The devil is called the prince of the power of the air. | |
| How many know that? | |
| And by a great wind, he overthrew the house of Job's eldest son. | |
| Do you remember reading about that in the book of Job? | |
| So the angels, literally, you see here what John's doing? | |
| He's flashing back. | |
| We've already seen the four horsemen ride. | |
| We've already seen many of these things happen. | |
| But he's going back and he said, whoa, we're going to take a look back and I'm going to show you what God said. | |
| He says, hold it now. | |
| I've got to do a few things. | |
| I want to make sure you understand before you get too nervous that I'm going to take care of you and everybody that loves me through this period of time. | |
| And so he goes on in verse 2, and I saw another angel or messenger ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. | |
| And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees. | |
| We have been studying what is about to happen to the earth. | |
| Remember, the sea and the trees. | |
| Boy, we're going to find out in the next chapter some things are going to happen when one-third of the trees are going to be destroyed. | |
| So right now, the angels are holding back. | |
| I believe we're in that day. | |
| I believe we're living on days of grace. | |
| If it was according to the sins of America that are up in the nostrils, can you imagine the stench of 40 million murdered babies that we've aborted in the United States of America? | |
| That stench in the nostrils of God? | |
| I believe God's cup of wrath is almost full. | |
| I believe the hypocrisy. | |
| We say one thing in America, but we do another. | |
| We say we're a nation under God, but we're not allowed to pray in schools or public places. | |
| One nation under God, but we can't even have the Bible in public meetings and in our schools. | |
| No wonder our kids are going crazy on us. | |
| What do you think if the kids are told it's illegal to pray or read the Bible? | |
| How do you expect they're going to read an illegal book? | |
| Maybe pornography, but that's not illegal. | |
| Oh my God. | |
| So I saw another angel sending from the east having the seal of the living God, and he cried with a loud voice of the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of God in their foreheads. | |
| And I don't believe that's some mark. | |
| A seal is like when a king puts his mark on an envelope and a message. | |
| When the king puts his seal on it, it means, or it could even be a seal on the ear of an animal, you know, saying that belongs to that king. | |
| And God is going to seal his people with a seal. | |
| Revelation 9:3, quickly look over there. | |
| And there came out of the smoke. | |
| I'll tell you, this earth is fire inside. | |
| How many know that? | |
| Go look at a volcano if you don't believe it's fire inside. | |
| We are floating on molten lava. | |
| And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth, and into them was given power. | |
| Unto them was given power as the scorpions of the earth have power. | |
| And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing. | |
| And you know anything about locusts and all? | |
| Locusts eat grass. | |
| I mean, they eat the green, they eat the leaves. | |
| Have you ever seen locusts come through? | |
| Anybody ever see a plague of locusts where it turns the sun almost black? | |
| I happened to be out in the country one time when a plague of locusts came through. | |
| And it was a green farm, green trees, beautiful. | |
| And as they passed through, as they left, there wasn't a green thing left. | |
| There wasn't a leaf left. | |
| They literally inundate and destroy every living thing and eat it in their pathway. | |
| So here's what God's saying. | |
| Here's these locusts, which naturally would be, locusts would naturally eat the green stuff. | |
| And he says, commanded them they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. | |
| God takes time out to seal his own before the events we have just learned about take place. | |
| So John's just trying to comfort us now. | |
| And he wrote this to the churches, and he's comforting his churches there that he wrote this to. | |
| And I heard the number of them which were sealed, and there was sealed 144,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel. | |
| Of the tribe of Judah were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Reuben, there were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Gad was sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Asher were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Nephathan was sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Simeon was sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Levi was sealed 12,000. | |
| On the tribe of Issachar were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Zebulun were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed 12,000. | |
| Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed 12,000. | |
| Who are these 144,000? | |
| Some believe they're Jewish evangelists. | |
| They are those Jewish people that are sealed. | |
| God is going to have a revival of his own people turning to him in these last hours. | |
| They are going to turn to him. | |
| Matthew 24, 14 says, And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come. | |
| And this is what's going to happen. | |
| During the tribulation, people are being saved. | |
| All through it. | |
| You'll see it. | |
| Turn to Revelation 14, 1, would you? | |
| Revelation 14.1. | |
| And I looked, and lo, a lamb stood on Mount Sion, hill of Jerusalem, figuring the church. | |
| So actually it would be the church, militant or triumphant, it means in the Greek. | |
| So here's the lamb standing in his church, with him 144,000, having his father's name written in their foreheads. | |
| And I heard a voice from heaven, and the voice of many waters, which means people. | |
| Water always means people in dreams and also in the Bible. | |
| When the prophetic word in the Bible, when you talk about many waters, it always means people. | |
| And so the voice of many people, and as the voice of a great thunder, and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps. | |
| And they sung as if it were a new song before the throne and before the four beasts and the elders. | |
| And no man could learn that song but the 140 and 4,000 which redeemed from the earth, those that are, they which were not defiled with women, and that means false doctrine. | |
| That doesn't mean marriage. | |
| That means false doctrine, if you understand the teaching of the Bible. | |
| For they are virgins. | |
| These are pure before God, washed in the blood of the Lamb. | |
| These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. | |
| These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and unto the Lamb. | |
| And in their mouth was found no guile, for they are without fault before the throne of God. | |
| God does not lose one of his saints in the tribulation. | |
| Back to Revelation 7. | |
| Now John moves his eyes to another scene. | |
| Jack Hayford actually says this is another interlude. | |
| I always included this as the same interlude because it's at the same time. | |
| But it's another picture, so it could be number six of the interludes that John takes. | |
| So he looks and we see another picture. | |
| After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, Jesus, clothed with white robes, meaning purity, and palms of victory. | |
| It actually means in the Greek. | |
| These are victory palms, waving them in their hands, and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God, which sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb. | |
| And all the angels stood round about the throne and about the elders and the four beasts and fell before the throne of their face and worship God, saying, Amen. | |
| Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our God forever and ever. | |
| Amen. | |
| And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? | |
| And whence came they? | |
| And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. | |
| And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation. | |
| Tribulation is harvest time. | |
| Persecution always brings the church together. | |
| And I'll tell you, one of these days you're going to stop fighting each other. | |
| One of these days, this town will be united. | |
| One of these days, people aren't going to say, I don't like you because you preach this, or I don't like you because you do this, or I don't like this, and I don't like that. | |
| And I'm telling you, one of the days soon, we're going to be together because you're going to have to get together to survive. | |
| That's God's plan. | |
| He's going to have a church without spot and without wrinkle. | |
| People say, oh, Jesus, come any moment. | |
| Is the church ready? | |
| It's harvest time. | |
| Narrow is the way, and few there be that find it. | |
| So these are they that washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. | |
| There's power in the blood of Jesus. | |
| Verse 15: Therefore are they before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple. | |
| And that actually, in the temple, you look that up in the Greek. | |
| It's the holies of holies. | |
| We get to go right into the holies of holies. | |
| We get to go where no man, hardly only the high priest, I mean, we get to go right into the throne of God and live there and be there and abide there and worship there and be a part of this great kingdom of God. | |
| Oh, do you think it's going to be boring? | |
| The God of creation? | |
|
Mount Sinai's Thundering Presence
00:15:21
|
|
| We're one little planet that God threw out here. | |
| One little planet. | |
| He's got so much more for those who love him, the Bible says. | |
| And he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. | |
| It means protect and shelter them. | |
| God Almighty, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, they will be our protector from now on. | |
| They're going to take care of you. | |
| The devil is going to be destroyed. | |
| Amen. | |
| Verse 16. | |
| They shall hunger. | |
| Famish, it actually means. | |
| They shall hunger or be famish no more, neither thirst anymore. | |
| And believe me, as we talked about the four horsemen, there's some famine coming. | |
| They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore, neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat burn them. | |
| It means. | |
| For the lamb, which is in the midst of the throne, shall feed them, tend them as a shepherd, is what that means. | |
| I wish you'd study Greek a little bit. | |
| Some of you need to get some Greek and Hebrew study Bibles. | |
| And you begin to study Greek and Hebrew. | |
| They've done so many marvelous works now that you can study the Greek and the Hebrew and bring out the full meaning from the original text of the Bible. | |
| And it'll just literally bring the Bible alive. | |
| For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, tend them as shepherd, it means, and shall lead them into living life fountains, fountains that give life, sources of supply. | |
| The living life fountains, source of the supply. | |
| That's God. | |
| He is our source here. | |
| The source of supply of water and blood, life, enjoyment. | |
| And God shall wipe away all, say, all. | |
| Is that yours? | |
| All tears from their eyes. | |
| Amen. | |
| In the midst of the terror of the tribulation time, John, in the middle of all his vision, he takes this whole chapter out to comfort us. | |
| To let you know, God's in control. | |
| God's going to take care of you. | |
| God loves you. | |
| He's not abandoned you. | |
| And he's going to bring us right into his throne room to be with him forevermore. | |
| Fear not. | |
| So this is, you know, John had to assure that church that he was sending these, the churches, he was sending the message to you that everything was going to be all right. | |
| I imagine this message probably scared the day. | |
| They probably thought John had gotten senile when he wrote the Revelation. | |
| And so he had to comfort them. | |
| Amen. | |
| Psalms 126, 5. | |
| Let me read it to you. | |
| You don't have to go there unless you want to. | |
| They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. | |
| Isn't that what the word says? | |
| Isn't that what David wrote? | |
| He that goeth forth weeping, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves. | |
| That means other souls to God with him. | |
| You say you can't take it with you? | |
| No, you can't take your bank account. | |
| You can't take your house. | |
| You can't take your car. | |
| But you can take your neighbors. | |
| You can take your children. | |
| You can take what's most important. | |
| You can take people. | |
| I don't know why more of you aren't working on the phones winning souls, because when you get to heaven, the only thing you're laying up there is souls. | |
| And when you get to heaven, you're going to have sheaves, and God is, you're going to come rejoicing. | |
| Sure, you're sowing in tears, pulling them out of the fire. | |
| But he says, you'll come rejoicing. | |
| All right. | |
| Revelation chapter 8 as we move on. | |
| I had some interesting things I was going to share with you, but I think I'll wait until next week. | |
| Matthew Henry's commentary, I just decided to print out this piece that we're going to study. | |
| And reading all of these things, it is such ghbliglop, forgive me, but they have all of these things as leaders falling. | |
| They have all the trees burning as some political event taking place. | |
| They have the asteroid that are coming out of the sky. | |
| They say, oh, that's a fallen leader back in the Roman Empire days. | |
| And this one is this one. | |
| And I was just going to share to you why there is such confusion in studying the book of Revelation. | |
| Because men have twisted it so far out of context. | |
| Twisted it, just twisted it, wrote stuff in. | |
| That's not even there. | |
| It can't even be conceived to be there. | |
| That's why we have got such false doctrine today. | |
| And that's why the church is not ready for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. | |
| Well, God's about to get our attention. | |
| God's about to get man's attention. | |
| Revelation chapter 8, verse 1. | |
| And we opened the seventh seal. | |
| There was a silence in heaven about the space of a half hour. | |
| It's prayer time. | |
| God's praying. | |
| God's listening to the prayers of the people. | |
| Half hour is just symbolic of a timeout. | |
| Something's about to happen. | |
| There's a pause, a quiet before the storm. | |
| And I saw the seven angels which stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. | |
| Oh, we finally got these trumpets in their hand. | |
| And another angel came and stood at the altar having a golden censer. | |
| This is frankincense. | |
| You've read about that in the Bible. | |
| A sweet odor. | |
| The prayers of God's people. | |
| And there was given unto him much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. | |
| And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, your prayers never die. | |
| They stay in heaven. | |
| They are there before God. | |
| Don't pray for vengeance, just pray for God's will to be done. | |
| He'll take care of the vengeance. | |
| Let God put it in God's hands. | |
| But your prayers are there, and he is going to literally demonstrate in heaven the accumulation of what your prayers are doing. | |
| And so here we go. | |
| And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. | |
| And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire of the altar and cast it into the earth. | |
| And there were voices and thunderings and lightning and earthquakes. | |
| And the seven angels, which had the seven trumpets, prepared themselves to sound. | |
| Trumpets have been used throughout the Bible to signify God's message. | |
| Moses, the first recording I could find is back in Exodus chapter 19, verse 16 with Moses. | |
| On the morning of the third day, there was thunder and lightning with a very thick cloud over the mountain. | |
| Always a cloud when God's around. | |
| God comes in a cloud. | |
| And a very loud trumpet blast. | |
| Everyone in the camp trembled. | |
| Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. | |
| Mount Sinai was covered with smoke because the Lord descended on it in fire. | |
| The smoke billowed up from it like the smoke from a furnace. | |
| The whole mountain trembled violently, and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. | |
| Then Moses spoke, and the voice of God answered him. | |
| The word trumpet is found 66 times in the Bible. | |
| Very, very important. | |
| Don't give to the devil stuff that belongs to God. | |
| If you want to understand God, you've got to understand what he sounds like, what he looks like, what he talks like. | |
| He said, My sheep know my voice. | |
| You got to be in the word to know his voice because a lot of voices in the church today are not the voices of God. | |
| It's the voice of Antichrist telling us to fall in love with the things of this world. | |
| Back to Revelation 8, 7. | |
| Oh my, here we go. | |
| And the angel, the first angel, sounded. | |
| In the Greek, it should be trumpeted. | |
| The third angel, the first angel trumpeted. | |
| And there followed hail and fire mingled with bloodshed. | |
| Blood, bloodshed, it means in the Greek. | |
| There followed hail and fire. | |
| This is uniting, a copulation, you know, a coming together, it means in the Greek, a united. | |
| So here is hail that's on fire. | |
| Rodney was telling me today about actually hail burns and has gases in it. | |
| And I didn't even know that. | |
| I should have known that from high school days, but you know, you forget a few things. | |
| But John saw something coming out of the sky that looked like hailstones on fire. | |
| And it was fire from the sky. | |
| We'll learn about that in vividness next week. | |
| And they were cast upon the earth, and the third part of the trees were burnt up, and all green, and that actually in the Greek is dun-colored and green grass. | |
| All the, even if it's in the fall in a part of the earth, it means all of the vegetation that is hit by these hailstones. | |
| It says a third of the part of the trees were burnt up, and all green grass, gardens, vegetation, pastures was burned up, down to the ground, consumed wholly in the Greek. | |
| Totally. | |
| One-third of all the trees. | |
| How is this going to happen? | |
| It's going to happen, I believe. | |
| God is going to let the angels literally go forth as this trumpet sounds, and meteor shower from the sky will literally set one-third of this earth on fire. | |
| And you say, How can it be? | |
| Well, you know, throughout these years, I've been studying, and I found a place in history that is I studied it and I learned things last week that just blew my mind. | |
| Here's what a news report says: Scientists now believe that the Chicago fire of October 8th, 1871, was not caused by Mrs. O'Leary's cow kicking over a lantern, but by an asteroid. | |
| And I will show you when I show you the video, Fire from the Sky, the science, the top scientists of the United States of America believe without a shadow of a doubt, the Chicago fire was not set by a cow, but it was meteor shower that caused the Chicago fire. | |
| And you say, Jim, why would you say such a thing? | |
| Well, I began to study. | |
| The first thing I learned was that on the same night of the Chicago fire, there was another fire that broke out in Wisconsin, in northern Wisconsin, on the Michigan border, near Green Bay, Wisconsin. | |
| Pistigo, if I'm saying it correctly. | |
| Never been there, never heard anybody say it, but it's Pistigo, as far as I know. | |
| I have a time with pronouncing things, so don't stumble over my stumbling over. | |
| But on October 8th, 1871, no one knows this. | |
| I asked people, ask them today. | |
| Not one soul except Bonnie, who's been here, knew that on the same night as Chicago fire was a more devastating fire in Wisconsin, hundreds of miles away. | |
| How many ever, ever heard of it before? | |
| I told you. | |
| Anybody? | |
| Anybody? | |
| One? | |
| God bless you, sir. | |
| Somebody reads and studies. | |
| Nobody knows why. | |
| Because the Chicago fire, which is just like everything we do in America, it had more pizzazz. | |
| It was Chicago burning. | |
| It was horrible. | |
| But in Chicago fire, there was only a few hundred people killed. | |
| But in Wisconsin, the worst fire to this very day happened. | |
| And it wasn't Chicago fire, it was the Episcopal fire in Pistigo, Wisconsin, when fire totally, in an hour, burnt down the entire city in a flame of hell. | |
| And 1,200 people perished in that fire. | |
| Overstaged by the Great Chicago fire. | |
| So I begin to study. | |
| I begin to pull up the news clips. | |
| Here's one that says, 2,000 people died in the Pischago fire, the worst in America's history. | |
| Report after report, I begin to find. | |
| Here is the lighthouse keeper who kept the lighthouse at Green Island Light Station out in Lake Michigan, you know. | |
| And he said, Frank Drew, the most celebrated keeper in the 52-year history of Green Island Light Station, spent most of his life on Green Island. | |
| And Drew family gathered in prayer around the kitchen table on the night of the Pischagoa fire in 1871 because burning embers from the mainland were falling on the island. | |
| They feared that the world was ending in biblical sense, they said. | |
| However, even the light, it says the smoke from the fires were so dense that it required the lighthouse to be lit even during daylight hours. | |
| However, even the light from the fourth order lens could not penetrate the smoke enough to avoid shipwrecks. | |
| The sky even went dark. | |
| That's not necessarily how the sky is going dark, but part of it will be that because of all these things happening going up into outer space. | |
|
Simultaneous Infernos
00:09:55
|
|
| So now I find out that the worst fire in America history took place the same night, hundreds of miles away from Chicago at the same moment. | |
| What's the odds of that? | |
| In 1871, headlines around the world reported the fire that burned Chicago to the ground. | |
| The cause was reported to be a cow owned by Mrs. O'Leary. | |
| But what history has forgotten is the fact that on the same evening, at the same hour, a dozen separate fires swept through a surrounding four-state area, causing even greater devastation. | |
| Randall Carlson has devoted his lifetime to researching unexplained phenomena. | |
| He believes the inferno was another case of fire falling from the sky. | |
| The reason no one can explain these great fires is that no one knew to look to the heavens. | |
| But recent studies have shown that a comet nucleus, only 100 yards in diameter, exploding 20 miles up in the atmosphere, can set a large pine forest on fire. | |
| This is the only explanation that can account for the simultaneous outbreak of massive forest fires all over the Midwest on October 8th, 1871. | |
| In fact, astronomers at that time were tracking the dying comet Baela, whose orbit was dangerously close to Earth. | |
| Some scientists have suggested that fragments falling from the comet may have ignited not only the Chicago fire, but the fires in neighboring states as well. | |
| The most deadly fire that night was not in Chicago, but in the small town of Pestigo. | |
| 1,200 people died there in the worst fire in American history. | |
| A mass grave commemorates the remains of 350 of the victims burned beyond recognition. | |
| Robert Kuvillian is the president of the Pestigo Historical Society. | |
| The stories he has preserved are of a fire unlike any other. | |
| Fire was not unusual in this territory, but on this particular night, this was a fire like nobody else had ever seen. | |
| It was seven or eight o'clock at night when it became dark and they could see this lurid glow in the western sky. | |
| It was like a thunder, a muttered thunder that never ceased. | |
| It just kept growing louder and louder. | |
| Before they could run, a firestorm blasted them off their feet. | |
| Trees were being uprooted and roofs were coming off of the homes. | |
| Chimneys were crashing to the ground. | |
| Everything was moving horizontally. | |
| It was like the heaviest snowstorm you've ever seen, only it contained the burning embers and the ashes and the red-hot sand and the dirt that was picked up. | |
| And when they decided it was time to go to the river, already it was too late. | |
| The people who managed to reach the river were not yet out of danger. | |
| Clothing and hair combusted spontaneously. | |
| The air itself seemed to be on fire. | |
| Eyewitnesses described that the very sky itself was on fire as far as the eye could see into space. | |
| Survivors felt like it was the end of the world. | |
| Pestigo was literally devoured by this fire from the sky. | |
| At sunrise the next day, survivors struggled from the riverbanks to tell stories of a night in hell. | |
| Eyewitnesses described fireball and meteorite-like phenomena falling from the sky just prior to the outbreak of the fire. | |
| In the aftermath, they described whole forests of great maple trees uprooted and laid flat like new mown hay. | |
| This is strikingly suggestive of the forests knocked flat to Tunguska. | |
| While no one was killed at Tunguska, 1,200 people lost their lives at Pashtego. | |
| Well, then, this week, I'm studying more. | |
| There's volumes of interest. | |
| Boy, the internet, you can find history. | |
| You find all, you go to the BBC, you can go to all of the government agencies, and they all, everybody's on the internet now. | |
| So we have everything at our fingertips that we need. | |
| And I read a book once called Mrs. O'Leary's Comet, where a scientist said they believed that what set Chicago on fire was a comet. | |
| But then, I found this this week. | |
| I mean, this is fresh stuff, folks. | |
| No one ever told me this. | |
| How many know I'm a Dutch person? | |
| Baker with two K's. | |
| They call it Bucker in the Netherlands. | |
| Here I find out that on October 8th, 1871, the same day of the Chicago fire, Holland, Michigan burnt to the ground. | |
| Is this getting a little spooky? | |
| Where my ancestors were there. | |
| I'll guarantee you they were there when the fire hit because I still have relatives in Holland. | |
| My whole family comes from that background there. | |
| But here, and it said, during the afternoon of Sunday, October 8th, the atmosphere was unusually warm and the sky seemed to be betokening the advent of impending calamity. | |
| And it goes on to say, within the short space of two hours, the entire devastation was accomplished. | |
| So one, unless he had been an eyewitness of such a scene, can see its terror of its awfulness. | |
| The entire territory covered by the fire was mowed as clean as with a reaper. | |
| There was not a fence post or a sidewalk plank and hardly the stump of a shade tree left to designate the old lines. | |
| But the grounds of Hope College, somehow, isolated as they were, seemed to be the only spot where one could escape with his life. | |
| Isn't that something? | |
| The Bible College was the only place that didn't. | |
| Robert Schuler comes from that Dutch Reform background. | |
| And he goes on to tell of the buildings that were destroyed. | |
| So now you've got clear across Lake Michigan, you've got Holland, Michigan destroyed the same night. | |
| You know? | |
| And then I began to do some more research. | |
| Green Bay, Wisconsin report. | |
| This is out of the National Weather Service Forecast Office of Green Bay, Wisconsin. | |
| And it says it scorched 1.2 million acres around Green Bay. | |
| The fire burned 16 other towns in Wisconsin. | |
| How come they don't put that in the history books? | |
| I don't know. | |
| Are we blinded? | |
| So then, here's the almanac, the Weather Bureau. | |
| This is the weather for October 8th, 1871. | |
| It was a hot day, so they try to blame all these fires on heat. | |
| How come we don't just break out now? | |
| I don't know. | |
| But here's what the weather almanac says. | |
| On the same day that the Michigan, Wisconsin, and Chicago fires flared up, regions of Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana were severely devastated by prairie fires. | |
| While forest fires ranged on the flanks of the Alleghenies, the Saharas, and the Rocky Mountains, as well as along the Red River of the North. | |
| The same hour, the same moment, the same time. | |
| Fires all over America. | |
| What happened? | |
| What set this country on fire? | |
| And you know, then I found out that Lake Huron and all across Michigan at the same time, on the other side of Michigan, hundreds of miles away from Holland, the other side of Michigan was on fire. | |
| Port Huron and other cities burnt to the ground. | |
| And I got so much information that I don't have time to read it to you. | |
| And here is even a map of Michigan showing the million acres or so, several million, I believe it was, acres that were burnt and destroyed at that time. | |
| What happened? | |
| I believe just as the scientists do, that there was a meteor shower from the sky, fire from the sky. | |
| Just as we read here in the book of Revelation, where it says, the first angel sounded, and there was followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth. | |
| And the third part of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burnt up. | |
| Now, if that happens, wouldn't you like to know the Bible had already told you it was going to happen? | |
| Wouldn't you like to know that? | |
| I would. | |
| And so you can say to your neighbors, don't panic. | |
|
Fire From The Sky
00:09:22
|
|
| The king's coming. | |
| Don't panic. | |
| The king's coming. | |
| In 1908, in Tungasta, Siberia, if I hope I'm pronouncing that right. | |
| In June of 1908, an asteroid collided with the Earth with energy of 100 times greater than that of the Hiroshima bomb, flattening thousands of square miles of forest. | |
| If it had collided with New York City, more than a half a million people would have died. | |
| And there's an actual photograph of that result of an asteroid that hit and burnt thousands and thousands of miles, flattening, literally thousands of square miles of forests. | |
| Fire from the sky has already happened. | |
| Be ready. | |
| Be ready. | |
| You know, people thought the book of Revelation was a fairy tale. | |
| They didn't understand about it. | |
| But it's all easily to understand if you just have information. | |
| Let's go on. | |
| And the second angel sounded, or it should be trumpeted as if it were, some of you have trumpeted in your own, in your Bibles. | |
| You have NIV Bibles, right? | |
| NIV translates it correctly. | |
| And the second angel sounded, trumpet as if it were a great mountain raised or a raise, a high hill, a mountain. | |
| And there was a great mountain burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood or bloodshed or blood red. | |
| Some Bibles actually say like red tide. | |
| I don't know if anybody has a Bible like that, but you know what red tide does. | |
| It kills the fish. | |
| And the third part of the creatures, the living things, created living things, which were in the sea and had life, died, and the third part of the ships were destroyed. | |
| This could be a mega tsunami, a tidal wave. | |
| I've told you about the Canary Islands. | |
| I just discovered this fact myself a few weeks ago. | |
| There is a mountain in the Canary Islands. | |
| And you can go to the BBC on your internet. | |
| It's amazing, but the BBC does more reporting on these things. | |
| The one thing I do like about BBC, stand up for the Brits here a little bit, is they do give you a lot of clear news. | |
| And when I was in prison, I could get the BBC radio, and I found out things where I could make up my own mind instead of having all these people telling me what I'm supposed to think. | |
| But anyhow, and it says that a giant wave, devastation feared. | |
| This is Revelation 8, 8. | |
| The second angel sounded and a great mountain burning with fire. | |
| It says an immense wave could one day wreak havoc on the eastern seaboard of the United States and elsewhere around the Atlantic. | |
| Scientists say a volcano eruption on the Canary Islands off West Africa could trigger a vast undersea landslide. | |
| They believe a buildup of groundwater could destabilize a block of rock up to 500 cubic kilometer in size, which could break off in a future eruption, rushing into the sea, racing towards the United States, racing towards Brazil, racing towards the United Kingdom. | |
| What would happen? | |
| This dome of water, which would be 2,900 and 95, no, 2,950 feet high, which is about 295-story building tall of water, resulting in a tidal wave higher than any recorded history, would travel outward, reaching speeds of 500 miles an hour. | |
| What is going to happen if that mountain burning with fire falls into the sea, causing this tidal wave at 500 miles an hour? | |
| How many ships in the Atlantic Ocean will survive? | |
| I don't think any of them will. | |
| You can't survive it at that speed of a wave. | |
| And it will go inland. | |
| It will hit Africa's coast. | |
| It will hit Spain, Portugal, England. | |
| And And it said, when it hits harbors, weird things really begin to happen. | |
| And it will go to Florida. | |
| It will go to New York. | |
| It will go to Boston. | |
| And it said, this is being very cautious. | |
| It could actually double the predictions of the scientists here in this report that I have. | |
| I've got report after report. | |
| Japan faces tidal wave. | |
| They're on a fault within just offland of them that there will be no time for them to prepare. | |
| It will inundate Japan. | |
| But what does the Bible say? | |
| And the second angel sounded, trumpeted, as if it were a great mountain burning with fire, was cast into the sea. | |
| And the third part of the sea became blood. | |
| And a third part of the living creatures which were in the sea and had life died. | |
| And the third part of the ships were destroyed. | |
| This is possible in your and I lifetime. | |
| I don't know when it's going to happen. | |
| I don't know if this Canary Island report here, I don't know. | |
| It says it will go 12 and a half miles inland. | |
| This wave will go. | |
| What does that mean for every coastal city? | |
| The devastation. | |
| But they said it will happen. | |
| It could be next year. | |
| They said it could be tomorrow. | |
| It could be 100 years from now. | |
| It could be 1,000 years. | |
| I'm not saying that it's going to happen. | |
| I'm not saying this is the means that God's going to use. | |
| I'm just trying to interpret to you the Bible so you can understand this is not some fairy tale. | |
| We are living in a very, very, I was driving in tonight. | |
| I don't know if anybody came down that the road where I come down where you face the sun coming here. | |
| Jerry, did you drive in with the sun going down? | |
| That sun hitting my eyes and our two little kids, two of our children in the back seat of the car. | |
| And I said to them, that's a burning fire up there, that sun. | |
| How come it keeps burning? | |
| How come that sun doesn't stop burning? | |
| We don't think about that. | |
| We live in such a fragile environment. | |
| How can we shake our fist in God Almighty's face? | |
| Am I scaring you at all? | |
| Don't get scared. | |
| And the third angel sounded. | |
| Verse 10, trumpeted, should be. | |
| And there fell a great star. | |
| In the Greek, it's aster, asteroid, where we get our word asteroid from. | |
| Fell from heaven, from the sky, burning as if it were a lamp, a torch. | |
| And it fell upon the third part of the rivers. | |
| This means drinkable running water. | |
| Not just river, it means drinkable running water. | |
| And upon the fountains, the source of supply of water. | |
| Do you know there's an earthquake fault underneath the greatest water supply that supplies all the water for California, almost all of it, for Los Angeles? | |
| And they are having earthquakes all the time. | |
| It's the greatest earthquake shaking that goes on in America is right there. | |
| And they say when that one goes, all the water supply for California and for the deserts is gone. | |
| Gone. | |
| That's what the Bible talks about this. | |
| The third angel sounding. | |
| And it falls upon the drinkable water and upon the fountains of water. | |
| And the name of the star, Aster, in the Greek is called wormwood, a type of bitterness, calamity. | |
| And the third part of the waters become wormwood, bitter, and many men die of the waters because they were made bitter. | |
| What is this? | |
| What is this? | |
| You know, I was studying and I ran across some materials that just really overwhelmed me because I didn't know this. | |
| I had to read from the Denver Post. | |
| You can get any newspaper online. | |
| It's wonderful. | |
| It takes hours and hours. | |
| I stay up all night so you can sleep. | |
| But listen to me. | |
| Listen to me what it says. | |
| Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, the mystery of the deep at picturesque Yellowstone Lake is a bulge that raises 100 feet from the lake floor, stretches the length of seven football fields, and has the potential to explode at any time. | |
|
Poisoned Volcano Threat
00:03:15
|
|
| You want to read it? | |
| Come and read it yourself. | |
| It's from the Denver Post. | |
| I don't always believe the newspapers, but, you know, the dome acts like a lid on a pressure cooker. | |
| Scientists first noted a problem last summer as they surveyed the lake. | |
| The sharp stench of rotten eggs from hydrogen sulfide gas was in the air. | |
| Clouds of sediment choked the water and swarms of bubbles rose to the surface. | |
| Could this be the sign that an explosion is imminent? | |
| They said the water has gotten so hot and the ground so hot that the park officials have sealed off the trails at one of the hottest geysers in the park and the ground in that area is 200 degrees the earth. | |
| And the report goes on and on and on and they say this is a gigantic, gigantic volcano ready to blow. | |
| And I don't have time to go into it right now, but they said when it blows, it will kill hundreds of thousands of people. | |
| It will trigger perhaps a nuclear winter. | |
| That means we go into cloudy darkness and vegetation dies. | |
| And it said it's due to go off. | |
| This thing went off, they say 600,000 years ago. | |
| I don't know why the scientists say it goes off every 600,000 years. | |
| I don't know how they know that, but it says when a super volcano goes off, it is the order of magnitude greater than a normal eruption. | |
| It proves its energy equivalent to an impact with a comet or an asteroid. | |
| And as these scientists started doing the research, they started digging in the park. | |
| And they were looking for the tracing of all of this. | |
| You know what they discovered? | |
| That yes, that volcano did go off thousands of years ago. | |
| And they found the bones of thousands of animals clustered together, dying in an instant time. | |
| But what they found was they were poisoned. | |
| They were poisoned by the gases and the films and the dust and the powder that came from that volcano. | |
| And asteroids will cause volcanoes to erupt. | |
| It will set them off and they hit the earth. | |
| So here we have this fourth angel. | |
| And the fourth angel sounded. | |
|
Final Trumpet Warnings
00:03:22
|
|
| And the third part of the sun was smitten. | |
| And the third part of the moon. | |
| And the third part of the stars. | |
| So as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it. | |
| And the night likewise. | |
| The sun, moon, and stars will be dimmed by one-third during this time. | |
| These volcanoes will cause the sun by the ash in the atmosphere to go dim. | |
| This is not the big one. | |
| The big one is yet to come. | |
| The big one is when the sun and the moon and the stars go totally black before the coming of the Lord. | |
| And I beheld and heard an angel. | |
| And if you look in NIV, and if you go to the Greek, it's not angel at all. | |
| It's not the same word as angel. | |
| This Greek word is not the word used for angel in the Bible. | |
| This is eagle. | |
| Eagle. | |
| And I beheld and heard an eagle flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, woe, grief, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, by reason of other voices of the trumpet, of the three angels, which are yet to sound or to trumpet. | |
| The eagle, a bird of prey, not an angel this time, says the next three trumpets are against man directly. | |
| The first four plagues were against nature that we've just studied a little bit. | |
| The eagle singles this change to woes. | |
| Revelation 8:6. | |
| Then the seven angels who had seven trumpets, this is NIV. | |
| Then the seven angels who had seven trumpets. | |
| The first angel sounded his trumpet. | |
| Verse 8, the second angel sounded his trumpet. | |
| The third angel sounded his trumpet. | |
| And the fourth angel sounded his trumpet. | |
| As I watched, I heard an eagle. | |
| This is NIV. | |
| And I wanted you to understand that because you must understand these are the trumpets. | |
| And we are about to come to the final trumpet. | |
| And when we reach the final trumpet, the Bible says that is the signal of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. | |
| So we're going to be there in a few days. | |
| So keep studying with us. | |
| Know the revelation so that you will not be destroyed, that you will not kill yourself during these last day times when these things, the Bible says, will come to pass. | |
| Just look up. | |
| Your redemption draws near. | |
| You are sealed with God if you know Jesus Christ as your Savior. | |
| Let's pray. | |
| Father, I pray for everyone here today. | |
| God, that we will not wring our hands and say, oh, these terrible things. | |
| But we will understand that these things must come to pass to bring about the events of the last days, to bring about the coming of the new Jerusalem, to bring about the coming of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, to bring about our new bodies and our new, new beginning that will last forever and forever. | |
| God bless everyone here today, I pray. | |
