White Horse of Warfare
00:14:53
|
|
| You know, I've hearing people who come to one of my sessions and hear a little bit of what I'm teaching and hear a little piece on the program and people just say, oh, I don't want that. | |
| And I hear people saying, oh, I'm afraid. | |
| Jim Baker is just teaching this strange stuff. | |
| Isn't it something that we're living in a day where we consider teaching the Bible word by word strange? | |
| It's because we have come to church to be entertained anymore. | |
| We must hear the word of the Lord. | |
| Why do we need to read this? | |
| Even if I'm wrong, you need to study the word of God. | |
| You need to get into the word of God and hide it in your heart. | |
| Because the Bible tells us that if we know these things, that that day will not come upon us unaware. | |
| Luke 21, 28. | |
| And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near. | |
| And he spake them of apparel: Behold, the fig tree and all the trees. | |
| When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. | |
| So likewise, when you see these things, what we're talking about, come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. | |
| Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away till all be fulfilled. | |
| So when these things start happening, that generation is going to see the coming of the Lord. | |
| And we are there, I believe. | |
| Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away. | |
| Why do we want to cling to bank accounts when they could pass away when the word is the solid rock foundation? | |
| Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting. | |
| You know what that word surfeiting means? | |
| It means just too much of too much good stuff. | |
| Just overstuffed. | |
| You see some of these tourists, you know, we are an overstuffed generation. | |
| Surfeiting with everything. | |
| We're just overabundance of television, of sex, sin, and everything. | |
| Everything. | |
| So it says, take heed to yourself, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and the cares of this life. | |
| So that day comes upon you unaware. | |
| God is warning us, you're not to be surprised. | |
| 1 Thessalonians 5:1. | |
| But of the times and seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write you, for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. | |
| For when they shall say, peace and safety, then sudden destruction come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. | |
| But, verse 4, you, brethren, are not in darkness. | |
| The church is in darkness about Revelation because we refuse to study it today. | |
| But he says, you, brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief in the night. | |
| The day of the Lord, the coming of the Lord, the end times are not to overtake you as a thief in the night. | |
| I ask churches, I mean major full gospel churches all over America. | |
| I used to ask them, is Jesus coming for us as a thief in the night? | |
| Everyone raised their hand, yes. | |
| And then when I said, I show them this, they don't even want to receive it. | |
| Read the Bible. | |
| It's there. | |
| 2 Thessalonians 2, 1. | |
| Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by a gathering together unto him. | |
| What would we call that today? | |
| The rapture. | |
| The coming of the Lord. | |
| The gathering to him. | |
| That's rapture. | |
| That you not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit nor by word, nor by letters from us, as that day of Christ is at hand. | |
| Let no man deceive you by any means. | |
| For that day shall not come except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. | |
| The Antichrist has to be revealed before Jesus even comes back. | |
| And I don't know where we got the doctrine today that says that the Antichrist will not be revealed till after the rapture. | |
| People are teaching you false doctrine and you're accepting it. | |
| Millions of books have been sold that are literally preparing people to kill themselves and destroy themselves because they're going to be so upset when all these things begin to happen and they haven't been raptured out. | |
| You better read the book. | |
| Amen. | |
| Okay, let's get back to Revelation chapter 6, verse 2. | |
| We read that last week. | |
| We've read it over and over. | |
| The white horse, behold, a white horse, and he that sat on him had a bow and a crown was given unto him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer. | |
| This white horse, I believe with all of my heart, without a bow. | |
| I mean, without arrows, without any bullets in his gun. | |
| This is the warfare of words. | |
| Life and death is in the power of tongue. | |
| I believe the white horse is riding already the horse of spiritual warfare. | |
| The Antichrist ideology. | |
| The banning of the Ten Commandments in our public places. | |
| The banning of prayer. | |
| All of this. | |
| All of this theology. | |
| The theology of prosperity is Antichrist theology. | |
| Can you not understand that? | |
| If the love of money is the root of all evil, how can you go to church and learn how to get and love more money? | |
| My God, we're preaching the opposite of Jesus. | |
| I realized I had to go to prison to figure that out. | |
| Because I had time to read the Bible. | |
| Time to study. | |
| Today, another gospel is truly being preached. | |
| Revelation 6:3, and he opened the second seal. | |
| I heard the second beast, the living being, say, go and see. | |
| And there went out a horse that was red. | |
| This is that flame-colored horse. | |
| And power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace and prosperity. | |
| It's in the Greek. | |
| From the earth. | |
| And that they should kill each other. | |
| What are we doing right now? | |
| Every day there's another bombing. | |
| Every day in India, in the Mideast, in Israel, everywhere. | |
| Even in our own country, they shooting up the somebody gets fired and they shoot the whole crew up at where they worked. | |
| High schools are being shot up. | |
| We are living in a violent time. | |
| The Bible calls this word kill here is actually butcher and slaughter and maim. | |
| And it says, take prosperity and peace. | |
| Peace and prosperity is actually, in this word, is the same Greek word. | |
| And it means, well, take 9-11. | |
| 9-11 to this date has cost us $1 trillion of hard money. | |
| God only knows how much it's really costing. | |
| It'll be trillions, believe me. | |
| All the security, all the things we put in at the airports, the airlines. | |
| People don't even want to fly anymore. | |
| It won't take many more incidents before our airlines will literally have to shut down. | |
| You're going to find people walking before they're going to fly if any much more happens. | |
| But we're living in that day. | |
| And it says, and they will kill one another. | |
| And there was given unto him a great, a fear, exceedingly great, highest, large, loud, mighty, sore afraid, strong mega sword or weapon. | |
| I believe that's the warfare, the bombs, the atomic bomb, the hydrogen bomb, these bombs that man has created that can literally destroy you and I and destroy every human being on earth that they want to. | |
| So there we have the white horse going forth of warfare of words. | |
| We have a warfare going forth of war, literally physical war, terrorism. | |
| We have a warfare going forth of major onslaught war. | |
| The Holy Spirit spoke to me two years ago when he showed me 9-11. | |
| God showed me 9-11 two years before it happened. | |
| It's on tape in front of audiences with witnesses. | |
| But God also showed me there's a possibility of literally an atomic bomb going off in this time. | |
| And I'm telling you, the prophets have seen these suitcase bombs and people verified. | |
| Our own government verifies they're missing many, many suitcase bombs. | |
| And so I'm urging you to stay close to Jesus. | |
| And if you stay in the word, and if something like something happens, you're going to say, well, God's word showed us this. | |
| We're not dismayed. | |
| We're not going to wring our hands and go, you know, go into a cave and say, well, it's going to be the harvest time. | |
| The end of the age is the harvest time. | |
| Well, going along, so we had the first two horses, and then in Revelation 6:5, and he opened the third seal. | |
| I heard the third beast say, Come and see or go. | |
| And I beheld, and lo, a black horse. | |
| And he that sat on him have a pair of balances in his hands. | |
| And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts saying, A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny. | |
| And see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. | |
| This is famine. | |
| This is famine. | |
| What does war do? | |
| War brings famine. | |
| All the other things that the horses cause literally cause famine. | |
| And I believe that when it says a loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley for a day's pay, basically is what it's saying. | |
| Great inflation, great lack of food. | |
| And the Bible says in Matthew 24, 7 that one of the signs of the return of Christ is Jesus Himself says that there would be famine, which would be a sign of the beginning of the last days. | |
| So this black horse is without a question is clearly famine. | |
| Revelation 6:7. | |
| And we had opened the fourth seal. | |
| I heard the voice of the fourth living being, the beast, say, Come or go, in the Greek, and see. | |
| And I looked and behold a pale, and this is a greenish, pale horse, the color of a corpse, the color of death. | |
| And I read this and read this in prison, and I didn't understand what I'm about to read to you. | |
| And I looked and behold, a pale horse, and his name that sat on him was death and hell or Hades. | |
| It's a Jewish term for the abode of the wicked dead. | |
| And followed, accompanied with him, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth to kill, destroy, with sword, and with hunger, starvation, and with death with the beasts of the earth. | |
| And I couldn't figure out how the beasts of the earth could kill people. | |
| I couldn't figure out how the beasts of the earth would bring destruction of the fourth of the world's population. | |
| And if you were here in our last study, we began to look into this. | |
| And the one key thing, in prison, I had the time to study every single word of the book of Revelation. | |
| I didn't study the book of Revelation. | |
| I studied every word. | |
| I studied the S's, AS, the ANs, the THES. | |
| I studied every single word. | |
| I found out that King James used some great liberal interpretations at times. | |
| And we need to put everything back that was in the original context in the original text. | |
| And you're going to find out some startling things when you do that. | |
| So we had two words that say death with two different meanings here in this one verse. | |
| And as we looked at this last one, remember last week, we looked at the word with death. | |
| We found out that that word death in the Greek there means plague or pestilence or disease. | |
| It's not death at all, but they cause death. | |
| But King James guys just figured out, well, we'll just bunch them all together. | |
| The plague, disease, pestilence has caused death, so we just use the word death. | |
| But we needed disease and pestilence to understand how a fourth of the population of the earth could possibly be killed, partially killed, by the animals. | |
| No animal can survive man. | |
| We kill them all anyway. | |
| I mean, we've slaughtered most of the animals on earth, and nothing could stand man. | |
| We've got bullets, we've got guns, we've got hand grenades, you know, alligators, you know, you can blow them up, you can shoot them up, tigers, you can shoot them up. | |
| Elephants, whole herd of elephants come charging into Branson. | |
| I don't know where they come from, but if they came, you know, there's enough boys up in the hills with some old shotguns left. | |
| They could kill all the elephants. | |
| You know, I couldn't figure this out. | |
| And so when that one word, when I saw death, how could a fourth part of the earth be killed? | |
| With hunger and the beasts of the earth, we find out they can be killed because it's with disease from the animals. | |
| Pestilence. | |
| And we studied, where does HIV come from? | |
| Monkeys. | |
| Where does Ebola come from? | |
| Monkeys also come. | |
| Ebola is so horrible that it's really one of those things that information about it literally gets suppressed. | |
| They don't want you to know about Ebola because it's scary. | |
| You literally melt from inside. | |
| Your eyeballs melt out of the sockets. | |
| You literally melt and literally come apart in the matter of days with no cure. | |
|
Aids Epidemic In Africa
00:03:01
|
|
| These are plagues, people. | |
| These are pestilence. | |
| SARS, where did SARS come from? | |
| Animals. | |
| They traced it back to animals. | |
| So God's, God's word knows everything. | |
| You think, oh, scientists just revealed these things. | |
| I'm going to show you stuff that the scientists figured out a few days ago. | |
| And I find it was in the Bible written several thousand years ago. | |
| If they just read the Bible, they'd have it all figured out. | |
| But AIDS in America, there's 1 million people in the United States with AIDS alone in this country. | |
| More than 20 million people have already died of AIDS. | |
| 14 million children are now orphaned from AIDS. | |
| 42 million more orphans totally in the next seven years from AIDS alone. | |
| And it brings great famine, by the way. | |
| Famine is coming from the AIDS death in Africa. | |
| 14 million at our risk for starvation in next six in the next years in six areas of Africa alone. | |
| 11 million will get AIDS in the next four years in Asia alone. | |
| 42 million people with HIV in the world. | |
| 5 million new cases last year. | |
| And they thought they had it cutting back. | |
| And it's the opposite. | |
| HIV is increasing around the world. | |
| We have a plague that's bigger than the bluebonic plague, the black plague, going on right now. | |
| But we don't deal with it. | |
| We don't understand it. | |
| We just go on. | |
| We murder 40 million of our children in the United States already. | |
| In 1987, two out of 10,000 women at South Africa prenatal clinic, prenatal clinic were HIV positive. | |
| That's 1987. | |
| Two women out of 10,000. | |
| In 1999, it is now at the prenatal clinics. | |
| It's two out of every 10 women. | |
| We have an epidemic. | |
| We have an epidemic. | |
| Everybody expects, oh, that's just a disease of the homosexual. | |
| No, in Africa, women are dying. | |
| Children are dying. | |
|
Under the Altar
00:13:58
|
|
| This is the plague of this century. | |
| The stage is set for one-fourth of the world to die. | |
| We're in the last days. | |
| We're in the last days. | |
| Revelation 6:9. | |
| This fifth seal opens a spring of support and consolation to those who have been and still were under great tribulation for the sake of Christ and the gospel. | |
| Let's read this. | |
| And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar. | |
| Now, under the altar is a place of sacrifice in Jewish ritual where the blood of the sacrifice was poured out. | |
| That's under the altar, at the base of the altar. | |
| So here, when he opens the fifth seal, I saw under the altar, this is where the blood is, the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for their testimony, for their evidence that they have given that they were God's people, which they held, which they possessed. | |
| Listen, John is symbolically saying here in this portion of scripture, the death of these martyrs is the same as a sacrifice to the living God. | |
| That's why we see them under the altar. | |
| That's why we see them where the blood runs out. | |
| The sacrifice of the martyr for Christ's sake is like a sacrifice unto God. | |
| And they are near the throne of God. | |
| Leviticus 17, 11 says, For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls. | |
| For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the souls. | |
| That blood was under the altar. | |
| Not because of the blood of these martyrs, but because of the blood of the Lamb of God. | |
| Revelation 6:10, let's go on. | |
| And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? | |
| Literally, their blood is crying out for vengeance. | |
| And people would say, oh, that's terrible. | |
| People are supposed to be Christian martyrs. | |
| Why would they want vengeance? | |
| They are crying out to God that judgment come on wicked mankind. | |
| Look at verse 11, and we'll explain this in a minute. | |
| And white robes were given unto every one of them, and that means purity. | |
| And it was said unto them that they should rest yet for a little season until their fellow servants also and their brethren that should be killed. | |
| It's not over yet. | |
| There's more saints going to be martyred. | |
| The rapture has not taken place. | |
| The fellow servants often their brethren that they should be killed as they were should be fulfilled. | |
| John saw them under the altar at the foot of the altar of the incense in the most holy place. | |
| He saw them in heaven at the foot of Jesus Christ. | |
| They are there. | |
| 2 Corinthians 5:8 says, We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body is to be what? | |
| Present with the Lord. | |
| Amen. | |
| Persecution and persecutors can only kill your old spacesuit, your old body. | |
| It doesn't kill you. | |
| It doesn't kill your eternal soul. | |
| We are going to live with him forevermore. | |
| We have been created in the image of God, and we're going to have a glorified body. | |
| And guess what? | |
| It's going to look a little bit like you do now because we're going to be known as we are known. | |
| And we are going to have, only you're going to be looking so good. | |
| I don't know what age is perfection, but you're going to be there. | |
| And your warts will be gone and all your wrinkles will be gone. | |
| And we won't worry about that. | |
| But I'm telling you, it hasn't entered the minds of men the things that God has prepared for them that love Him. | |
| If we could keep our hope in heaven, we're going to be victorious livers on earth. | |
| We need to live victoriously. | |
| We need to cast our cares and turn them into what? | |
| Prayers. | |
| What? | |
| Cast our cares, turn them into prayers. | |
| Oh, I've got a wonderful doctor who just teaches me these things. | |
| And I'm telling you, I've just practicing that all week long. | |
| You notice I'm not even fretting over the offerings. | |
| I just tell people, if you don't want to give, don't give. | |
| I don't care. | |
| I'm just casting it on the Lord. | |
| Amen. | |
| I mean, it's God's. | |
| What did He say? | |
| Cast how many cares? | |
| Does it say that? | |
| It does. | |
| You're Bible students. | |
| Cast all your cares on him. | |
| For he does what? | |
| He cares for you. | |
| Isn't that awesome? | |
| I mean, we don't have to care, or not to care. | |
| We're not to judge. | |
| Don't judge each other and you won't be judged. | |
| We don't have to do any of those things that are such a burden. | |
| You know what? | |
| You don't have to figure out who's right or wrong in this whole room. | |
| Just to straighten yourself out. | |
| There's the tie-ins. | |
| Mm, mm. | |
| God has provided an awesome place in a better world for these martyrs. | |
| So don't go feeling sorry for these martyrs. | |
| They're in heaven. | |
| And we've got realism and symbolism coming here together. | |
| But it's their blood. | |
| Ooh, there's power in the blood. | |
| But God sees the blood of his martyrs. | |
| And he is stirred by this. | |
| The prayers of the saints live on. | |
| Every prayer, it's up in heaven. | |
| It's like incense. | |
| It's just poured on the altar. | |
| Your prayers never stop. | |
| I'm convinced my grandma Irwin's prayers are still praying for me. | |
| Boy, they say when we get on television like this, when we broadcast, they say the signals never end, Pastor. | |
| The signals, they go forever. | |
| And I believe that's the way it is with prayers: they just go into the heavenlies. | |
| Amen. | |
| Holy martyrs are near to Christ in heaven. | |
| They have the highest place there. | |
| And it is not their own death, but the sacrifice of Christ that gives them this reception into heaven. | |
| Jesus paid the price. | |
| But he is so honored when we give up our life for him. | |
| He is so honored. | |
| That's the ultimate of love when you give up your life. | |
| That's what Jesus did for us. | |
| And some of you may have to come to that someday. | |
| You may have to come to that someday. | |
| I know you don't like that. | |
| We don't say amen. | |
| What was the cause in which they suffered? | |
| Or who is the God or the Word of God? | |
| It says, and their testimony is the reason they were there. | |
| So what caused them to suffer? | |
| The word and their testimony. | |
| The Bible says you may have to give up your life for the testimony. | |
| I'm telling you, there's preachers who would love to kill me right now. | |
| You know why they're mad at me? | |
| Because I'm telling people, don't love money. | |
| And I learned one thing when I studied the Bible. | |
| The very act that drove Christ to the cross was when he messed with the money. | |
| When he messed in the temple with the money changers and the selling of sacrifices and all that, and he turned those tables over, they plotted to bring him to death. | |
| Somebody told me when I was going through my terrible problem, they said, Jim, the church will forgive adultery, but they will never forgive if you take their money. | |
| Don't touch the money, honey. | |
| What does it say? | |
| Revelation 12:11. | |
| They overcame him. | |
| Who's him? | |
| The devil? | |
| By what? | |
| By the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. | |
| And what happens next? | |
| And they love not their lives unto death. | |
| These are God's martyrs. | |
| Martyrs who, believing God's word, they confess the truth of the word, and they literally die for the word of the living God. | |
| And these martyrs are in heaven with Christ. | |
| The cry John heard here in chapter 6, verse 10, it was a loud cry, and it contained a humble question of how long? | |
| How long will you delay the avenging of the enemies of the gospel? | |
| How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on those that dwell on the earth? | |
| Even the spirits of just men cry out for proper vengeance from God. | |
| Not their vengeance, but from God's vengeance. | |
| And God will take a just revenge upon the sin of the persecutor. | |
| So don't get into the act. | |
| Don't try to get even. | |
| Vengeance is mine. | |
| I will repay, saith the Lord. | |
| If you want to stop all action of heaven to rebuild you and to save you and to restore you, you get into the act. | |
| In prison, I stopped all action. | |
| Literally, I told my friends, stop all these things. | |
| I said, I do not, I'm not going to defend myself. | |
| I am not going to speak for myself. | |
| And I literally turned it to God. | |
| And when I began to give up, when I forgave even those who came to hurt me, those who came literally to destroy me, those who literally plotted to destroy me, I had to say, God, forgive them. | |
| God loved them. | |
| God bless them. | |
| And I had to mean it from my heart. | |
| And until I was through that process, I was still in prison. | |
| And when I was able to reach that point of total forgiveness, I'm free. | |
| I'm free. | |
| I'm free. | |
| God will get even. | |
| People think God's trying to get even with them for their own sins. | |
| God got even at the cross. | |
| God's not trying to get even with you. | |
| God's not going to persecute you. | |
| God's not trying to punish you for your sins. | |
| Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins. | |
| So we're not to judge others any more than we have to literally condemn ourselves every day. | |
| And here we see this cry. | |
| In John 6, verse 11, John observed the kind word that was made to this cry. | |
| Both what was given to them and what was said to them. | |
| What was given to them was white robes. | |
| They were crying out. | |
| God says, I'm giving you a robe of purity. | |
| Your sins have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. | |
| And what else were they given? | |
| They were given these robes of victory. | |
| They were given the robes of honor. | |
| And their present happiness was an abundant gift for their past suffering. | |
| God gave them blessing. | |
| God gave them this abundant joy, this abundant privilege of being with them. | |
| And what was said to them that would be satisfying and easy for themselves to understand, for it would not be long that their fellows suffer. | |
| Remember, he's looking in the future in this. | |
| This is John looking towards the future. | |
| So we're probably living in a day about right now. | |
| And they are told that there's many more who have to come yet. | |
| And to be patient, but God's vengeance was going to come. | |
| But be still. | |
| Be happy. | |
| Be at rest. | |
| Be at ease. | |
| There's a number of saints that God knows. | |
| I don't know that number. | |
| But it's an abundant number. | |
| And when that number is reached, it's over. | |
| It's over. | |
| And there's a number. | |
| And then God will take a just and glorious revenge upon the cruel and the evil. | |
|
Why Not Pre-Tribulation?
00:10:32
|
|
| I had a judge tell me one time, and he was literally talking to me about my case. | |
| There's some awesome judges, believe it or not. | |
| And there really are. | |
| But this judge told me, he said, Jim, I can never understand man's inhumanity to man. | |
| He said, I don't understand the evil. | |
| How can one man murder 10 million people? | |
| It's been done. | |
| They will be rewarded for their sins. | |
| Many scholars believe that the tribulation begins with the opening of this fifth seal. | |
| I must say this again: if you're expecting a rapture escape from tribulation, you are clinging to a very new theory. | |
| You are clinging to something that is less than 200 years old. | |
| Do you hear me? | |
| And this is a very recent and faulty, Mother Shara, I think that's your phone ringing, and faulty view of the scriptures. | |
| Listen to me. | |
| Why would a phone ring right now when I'm talking about if you're expecting a rapture escape from the tribulation, you're clinging to a very recent and faulty view of the scripture? | |
| Because the devil doesn't want you to hear, I mean, God wants you to hear this, and the devil doesn't want you to hear truth. | |
| Nothing in the world, in the word, even hints at such a thing. | |
| I told you somebody gave me a book today, 52 scriptural principles that back up pre-tribulation rapture. | |
| I mean, not a pre, yeah, pre-tribulation. | |
| And so today I went through it, and I could not find any sense. | |
| I just stopped reading. | |
| I went to one, two, three, four scriptures, fifth scripture, seven, eight, nine. | |
| None of them had any sense. | |
| Didn't say anything about anything. | |
| No sense, no reasonable. | |
| Just men so desperately want to get you out of the tribulation that they just mess up the scriptures. | |
| Are you hearing me? | |
| Now, the stuff that I'm giving you right now is the enemy doesn't want this. | |
| So please pray with me. | |
| Father, anoint this, I pray, in Jesus' name. | |
| God, I pray, Lord, that things that are hidden will be revealed. | |
| God, that this is revelation. | |
| God, that people will not be led into lies, but that people will believe the word of the living God. | |
| Jesus, I pray. | |
| Many of the ideas of the pre-tribulation view came from a Scottish woman by the name of Margaret MacDonald. | |
| How many knew that? | |
| Some of you knew that. | |
| Oh, I told you before, but no, there's. | |
| Margaret MacDonald was a new convert, a little young girl that had not been saved hardly a year. | |
| And this revelation, after 1,800 years or so of the opposite teaching taking place, they suddenly have this new idea. | |
| Now, I deal with this in my book, and so I'm hoping that you'll read Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse on page 124. | |
| It says, when I dug into the matter further, I was surprised to discover that many of the ideas associated with the pre-tribulational rapture originated not in the Bible, but in an extra-biblical vision experienced by a young Scottish woman named Margaret MacDonald in 1830. | |
| The woman sent handwritten copies of her revelation to Edward Irving, a controversial minister who, with his great gifts of oratory and his magnetic personalities, was drawing large crowds to his church in London. | |
| In his pamphlet, Why I Believe the Church Will Pass Through the Tribulation, David McPherson describes what happened after Irving got hold of Margaret MacDonald's vision. | |
| Here's what it says: It was from this supposed revelation that the modern doctrine in modern phraseology respecting the pre-tribulation rapture arose. | |
| It came not from scripture, but from that which falsely pretended to be the Spirit of God. | |
| Irving accepted this teaching and it was taught at the prophetic meetings at Powers Court House in Ireland, attended by John Darby. | |
| Irving's views influenced Derby, C. H. McIntosh, and C.I. Schofield, whose Bible popularizes the new theory. | |
| And for 1,800 years, the church had only believed in a post-tribulation coming, which during persecution was occasionally thought to be imminent. | |
| There is not a shred of historical evidence before 1830 that the church ever believed in a double coming or a rapture before the tribulation. | |
| So this is as close as I can get. | |
| And you know what? | |
| I still today. | |
| I had a wonderful teacher and a man I just respect highly. | |
| He sent me his book and he told me, I want to give you the basis so you'll understand that pre-tribulation is what's taught in the Bible. | |
| And you know what? | |
| He gave me the quotes from the Schofield notes. | |
| Am I turning white? | |
| The blood drains from my face when I think of how we have got our sermons from each other. | |
| This woman had been a Christian only a year. | |
| I write more about it in my book if you want to read about it. | |
| Let's go to Revelation 6:12. | |
| And I beheld when it opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, mega, exceedingly great, high, loud. | |
| This is going to be a humdinger of an earthquake. | |
| So when I beheld, he opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a mega earthquake. | |
| And the sun became as sackcloth of hair. | |
| Not is sackcloth of hair, just was like. | |
| You know, sackcloth is mohair. | |
| It's like gunny sack almost, but it's a mohair in the Bible, more of a hair sack, and it was very black. | |
| And the moon became as, and in the Greek, in that manner. | |
| So it really is, the moon isn't turning to blood. | |
| The moon became like blood. | |
| Look blood red, I believe. | |
| So Revelation narration is literal and symbolic. | |
| I believe right now, I'm teaching you right now, this is real happening. | |
| It's in the Bible over and over and over. | |
| Matthew 24, 7 and 8, for nations shall rise against nation, kingdoms against kingdom. | |
| There shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes. | |
| See, here it all comes together. | |
| Famines, the four horsemen. | |
| Jesus said the same thing in Matthew 24. | |
| Famines, pestilences, the diseases, the earthquakes in divers. | |
| There's another dumb Greek word that, you know, stop being in love with King James. | |
| Start studying the word of God. | |
| You know, you get so poetic. | |
| I think one reason people love the King James, they don't understand it. | |
| You know, so it's just, isn't that beautiful? | |
| You know, you need to know what it says. | |
| You need to know what the word says. | |
| And I'm happy to have the King James. | |
| It was a wonderful thing when it happened. | |
| But it's not as full as the real word is, and we don't understand things. | |
| And so, for nations shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there should be famines, pestilence, and earthquakes in divers. | |
| That just means many, you know that, in many places. | |
| All these are the beginning of sorrows. | |
| Jesus said there would be earthquakes in many places. | |
| Revelation 6 says there's going to be an earthquake as the sixth seal that's going to be so mighty that it's going to, literally, the sun and the moon will not shine on the earth. | |
| They will still be shining, but there's going to be something between us and the sun and the moon. | |
| The earthquakes in the U.S. Geological Survey, when I study, and I study everything, I study up to the minute. | |
| And if you want to study, just find yourself a good computer. | |
| And I'm telling you, you can tap into the Geological Society of the U.S., of Canada. | |
| You can tap in. | |
| You can tap into a map that literally will show you earthquakes that are happening as they're happening around the world. | |
| We have information at our fingertips. | |
| Now, it takes a whole mankind and universities to try to back up what the Bible's already said. | |
| But it's there. | |
| In 1973, there were recorded in, you know, earthquakes that aren't just little tremors, 4,539 earthquakes. | |
|
Stars Strewn Over Sky
00:04:06
|
|
| In 1974, there was 4,520 earthquakes. | |
| In the year 2000, there was 19,131 earthquakes. | |
| Is that quite a jump from 74? | |
| And these figures are a few months old now, but since 1998, there's been 72,613 earthquakes, which should be a lot more than that, actually. | |
| Revelation 6, 13, let's go on. | |
| And the stars, the Greek word here is aster. | |
| And our word asteroid comes from this word. | |
| And the stars, and actually it says the word asteroid, it says in the Greek it's strewn over the sky. | |
| I believe it's asteroids. | |
| And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree cast her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind. | |
| The sky is going to be filled with asteroids. | |
| And it's going to look like, you know, John has to use stuff he can explain right then. | |
| A fig tree being shaken and the figs all falling off. | |
| So literally, there's going to be asteroids falling from the sky in the last days. | |
| And as the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together. | |
| Now listen to this. | |
| I know this is where Revelation gets pretty upsetting to some of you. | |
| You just turn away from it. | |
| The stars, the asteroids of heaven, fall into the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind. | |
| And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together. | |
| John saw when something takes place, like an asteroid or a mountain falling into the ocean, he saw literally the sky roll back. | |
| As something comes up from the earth, you'll listen, you'll understand this in a minute. | |
| It looked to him like the stars and the sun were just disappearing. | |
| And it's like a scroll just rolled right across. | |
| He's explaining it. | |
| He has a scroll in his hand. | |
| He's probably writing in a scroll. | |
| So it's like the scroll, the sky just like it rolls back. | |
| You understand what he's saying? | |
| So he sees the stars go dark, the sun go dark, the moon go dark. | |
| You know, John is seeing a vision of the future. | |
| And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their place. | |
| What does that mean? | |
| God's word told us, Lori, of earth plates. | |
| There's about 20 major big plates, rock that's probably 40 miles to some 250 miles thick, and these plates shift. | |
| You understand that? | |
| The Bible says every mountain and island were moved out of their places. | |
| These plates are literally islands floating on magma, floating on that red hot liquid. | |
|
Elephant Tusks from Alaska
00:05:58
|
|
| The earth is fire inside. | |
| God's word told us of Earth's plates before man knew of them. | |
| Some believe we had a crust at one point that was solid. | |
| I don't know. | |
| They believe the continents were together and they've come apart and they've shifted all around. | |
| How else can you describe? | |
| Do you know what I own at my house? | |
| Stay with me, guys. | |
| Don't fall asleep on the camera. | |
| Do you know what I have? | |
| I have elephant tusks. | |
| I have some pieces of elephant tusks from guess where? | |
| From Alaska. | |
| From the ice. | |
| Found in the ice. | |
| I met the Indian man or the native man in Alaska who found them. | |
| They told me of the history of finding these grazing animals with flowers and grass still in their stomachs. | |
| How can you deep freeze an elephant? | |
| Something's got to move quick. | |
| I believe probably an asteroid or a volcano shook this earth and those plates shifted. | |
| And what was once grazing land for elephants suddenly was in the Arctic. | |
| And you had instant deep freeze. | |
| Just like we do with our meat lockers now. | |
| There are, see those lines? | |
| Those lines are the plates. | |
| Make up the dozen or so plates. | |
| And then there's some other little broken up pieces around. | |
| But you notice one of the plate edges is right along the coast of California. | |
| That's why there's so many earthquakes. | |
| An earthquake is caused when these plates that we're floating on run together and they lay up on top of each other sometimes. | |
| And as they grate and grind together, you've got to remember these plates are maybe a thousand miles wide. | |
| And as they rub together, the pressure of the ages, as the Holy Spirit called it, when he showed me underneath Los Angeles, those plates rub together, and when that pressure builds up and they go, boom, that is what causes earthquakes. | |
| They float on magma. | |
| And Alaska had an earthquake on Good Friday. | |
| Remember the Good Friday earthquake in Alaska? | |
| You should remember it was probably one of the largest earthquakes in the current history of America in our time that we have recording anyway. | |
| And it was devastating. | |
| That earthquake on the Good Friday that just devastated Alaska was the movement of these earth plates. | |
| Mountain ranges, mountains are built when these plates collide and the earth goes up at that point. | |
| Isaiah 24, 18. | |
| Go there. | |
| And it shall come to pass that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit. | |
| And he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. | |
| For the windows from on high are opened and the foundations of the earth do shake. | |
| The earth is utterly broken down. | |
| The earth is clean, dissolved. | |
| The earth is moved exceedingly. | |
| Verse 20, you're not even there yet. | |
| I still hear rustling. | |
| Isaiah 24:20. | |
| You only let me teach an hour, so they'll have to go fast. | |
| The earth shall reel. | |
| Are you reading it? | |
| You don't want to read. | |
| I see someone looking on your face. | |
| You're not even looking at the Bible. | |
| You don't want to hear it. | |
| The earth shall reel, waver to and fro like a drunkard and shall be removed like a cottage. | |
| Now you look that up in the Hebrew, and that word means it will move like it's either a hut or a hammock. | |
| It shall swing like a hammock and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it and it shall fall and not rise again. | |
| The earth is going to move. | |
| The earth is going to move like a hammock. | |
| More than 60 Old Testament prophecies describe these coming day of the Lord events. | |
| Great earthquakes, plate shifts of the earth. | |
| Literally, the movement of the earth. | |
| You say, but how will the sun and the moon be darkened? | |
| Here's a headline: Scientists warn of super volcanic action that could blot out the sun and bring a global winner. | |
|
Yellowstone's Supervolcano Threat
00:05:44
|
|
| A volcano. | |
| Geologists will warn today of the threat posed by super volcanic eruption that could devastate the global climate, disrupting agriculture and causing severe food shortage. | |
| Senior members of the Geological Society are to give evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee claiming that a massive eruption could emit enough gas, dust, and debris into the atmosphere to block out sunlight and cause a global volcanic winner. | |
| Given the climatic impact of a volcanic eruption and the likelihood of future eruptions, the Society recommends that the committee investigate the extent to which the government has explored the agriculture, economic, and political consequences of a volcanic winner. | |
| The Geological Society says in its written submission, geologists are particularly concerned about so-called supervolcanoes, which can erupt with a forceful power enough to eject thousands of cubic kilometers of debris and hundreds of thousands of tons of sulfuric acid, which can form a reflective shield, cutting out sunlight. | |
| Now, listen, why do I have to get reports from London? | |
| Why do I have to get this information from Canada, from the BBC? | |
| How come I can't find it at CNN? | |
| One potentially dangerous supervolcano exists under Yellowstone National Park in the United States and was only detected in the 60s with infrared satellite photographs, revealed a magma-filled culdra. | |
| The Yellowstone supervolcano has erupted regularly over the past two million years at interviews, intervals of about 600,000 years. | |
| The last time was 640,000 years ago, making another eruption imminent in geological time. | |
| And here's what the scientist says, the professor at close: There's nowhere to hide from the effects of a super volcano. | |
| When one goes off, it will be like nuclear winter without radiation. | |
| The sun and the moon will go dark. | |
| What are they saying? | |
| Here's another one from BBC. | |
| Super volcano could trigger global freeze. | |
| A report by the BBC, one supervolcano at Yellowstone National Park in the U.S. says it's overdue for an eruption. | |
| Uh-oh. | |
| Oh, look what I just found. | |
| Park Lake hints at buildup to huge blast. | |
| Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. | |
| The mystery of the deep at picturesque Yellowstone Lake is a bulge that raises 100 feet from the lake floor, stretches the lengths of several football fields, and has the potential to explode at any time. | |
| They say that when that one goes, it will kill hundreds of thousands of people, and it will turn us perhaps to a nuclear winter where the sun and the moon does not shine. | |
| The next lesson, I'm going to share some things with you that has just recently been found. | |
| I'm going to give you scripture after scripture from the Old and New Testament that says the sun and the moon will be darkened. | |
| Just not too long ago, the scientists have discovered a volcano on one of the Canary Islands, and they have researched this volcano. | |
| And I have all the reports. | |
| I don't have time to give them to you tonight. | |
| But what they are saying, that when, not if, when this volcano collapses, this entire half of the island will go into the ocean. | |
| It will cause a tidal wave, a tsunami, I guess it's called, a tidal wave, I'll call it, that will come to the shores of the United States of America. | |
| It will be equal to 250 stories high wave. | |
| And when the wave from that volcano, it may not come for a hundred years or a thousand years, but it's active, it has split apart. | |
| And if it falls in, the scientists, and I have it from scientists from all over the world, Boston to Miami will be destroyed. | |
| This wave will go inland almost 12 and a half miles, the height of a 250-story building. | |
| When this wave hits into the beginnings of, or where the rivers empty out, but here's what also will happen: it says the debris from that will cause the sun and the moon to go dark. | |
|
Revelation's Warning
00:00:37
|
|
| Here we are, so cocky, so ensured that we're in control. | |
| When one little mountain, as the Bible says, and I wanted to read you the scriptures, I don't have time, one mountain over in the Canary Islands, when it falls into the sea, as Revelation says will happen in the last days, it will literally wipe out the east coast of the United States of America. | |
| How will the Antichrist arrive? | |
