Be Faithful 00:15:16
Revelation chapter 2 verse 10.
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer.
Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison that you may be tried.
And you shall have tribulation 10 days.
Remember, a day is as a year with the Lord.
We talked about that.
We won't go into that tonight.
Be thou faithful.
Say faithful.
If there's a key word in the Bible, it's faithful.
God wants you to be faithful, and he is faithful.
Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
This is the victor's crown, the wreath, the one who wins the race.
And then it goes on to say, he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
And which is the lake of fire.
We read about that over in Revelation 20.
You know, the marvelous thing about the Bible, you almost don't need any other help.
You don't need another book.
If you study the Bible, the Bible interprets itself.
I want you to keep knowing that.
Read the book.
Read the book.
Revelation will come as you study and just read and read and read this book.
Things that seem are difficult will suddenly come alive.
You'll have revelation.
We're taking the cover off, unveiling.
That's what Revelation means.
And so Revelation 20, 14 says, in death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death.
And here's the voice of Jesus.
He that overcometh.
How do we overcome?
By the Lamb.
By the blood of the Lamb covers us.
And then he says, with the word of our testimony we defeat Satan.
Why is it so important that word of our testimony?
Because salvation is speaking.
You believe in your heart, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
I know some people in this town that some of you probably consider a little bit worldly.
Some of the people in this town that are in some of the shows and you think, oh boy, I'm more perfect than they are.
I'm better than they are.
But I want to tell you something.
Some of them literally on stage confess Jesus Christ every night on stage.
And they say Jesus Christ is the only answer.
I want to tell you something.
They are committing the act of salvation every day because when you confess Christ, he says, I'll confess you before my Father.
And that's why this church, this message, this church ends with this very, very important message.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
And we talked about he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying.
It's time to hear what God is saying.
It's time to listen.
We got so much television on in our homes.
We don't hear anything but, you know, rock and roll and screaming and hollering and filthy stuff going on.
How can we hear from heaven if we don't have some quiet time, if we don't shut that noise out and get along with God?
We must hear from God if we're going to survive.
Now, in our last lesson, how many were here last week?
I took you through scripture after scripture after scripture after scripture of everyone from Genesis to Revelation.
I gave you so much scripture that I'm sure you got bored of me just reading them all out there.
But I'm telling you, we found out that everybody in the Bible, Owen Carr, talked to God.
God talked to them.
You go right through the Bible.
God talked to them.
Moses talked with God.
David talked with God.
They all talked with God, starting with Adam and Eve in the garden.
If you went on the tonight show and you told Jay Leno that you talked with God, you know what?
That crowd would laugh you to scorn.
And he'd probably snicker and turn off a little bit to the side and go.
But you know who's crazy?
The world's crazy.
Because we have a way out.
We have a way to eternal life.
We have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
He wants to communicate with us.
And I believe that we must hear from God what the Spirit has to say.
Let's hear what the Spirit has to say unto the churches.
I believe that what the message to the churches that we're learning now, where we're going to go through one more church probably on this lesson time.
And we, I believe, this message is more for us today than it was even back for the churches back in John's time.
I believe this with all of my heart.
We must hear from God.
It's normal.
You say, I'm just me.
I'm just little old me.
Well, God wants to talk to little old you.
God wants to communicate with you.
The reason you were created was for fellowship with God.
Matthew 7, we talked about it in one of our lessons.
He said, I never knew you.
Depart from me.
And he was telling this to preachers.
He was telling this to miracle workers.
He was telling this to people who cast out devils.
He was teaching, telling this to people who had worked miracles, wonderful works, Dudamus in the Greek, powerful, miracle-working people, people who could prophesy.
You know what it said?
It said, in Jesus' name.
Everyone did it in Jesus' name.
And what did Jesus say to them?
Depart from me, you workers of iniquity.
I have never known you.
I never knew you.
I couldn't figure that one out because he knows everything.
He knows everybody.
But I told you how I studied the word and I studied.
You know, when something, you don't understand it, it's time to study.
There's no contradiction in the word of God, just poor translation.
And so you need to study.
And when I found out that word, I never knew you, that has nothing to do with perception with the sight.
Now, when Peter says, I never knew the man, that word in the Greek is, I think it's E-I-D-O, something like that.
And that means to perceive with the sight.
But this word in Matthew 7 is the same word that Mary used when she said, I've never known a man.
That means intimate relationship.
And what is Jesus say in Matthew 7?
He's going to tell people who cast out devils in his name.
He's going to tell people who prophesied in his name.
People who worked miracles in his name.
He's going to say, I never had an intimate relationship with you.
So hearing from God is more than an option.
I believe it's essential.
I believe if we're going to survive in the last days, we must hear from God.
I don't care what other people say.
I don't care what the TV commentaries say or the comedians.
Do you know they've been laughing at the word of God throughout history?
I don't have time to go into it.
But I studied this, and they had literally clowns, jesters in the Bible days that made fun.
You know, when David said, tell it not in Gath, that was like a saying.
That was more than just tell it not in Gath.
But he didn't want the comedians to make fun of Saul.
See, many times, preachers, they call up and tell a story to Nightline or some of these other shows.
They call and do it themselves.
They want to make fun of another preacher that's fallen.
David didn't want to make fun of Saul.
David wanted to cover it up.
He said, I don't want these Philistines laughing.
I don't want these women laughing and singing in the streets.
I don't want the comedians to make jokes about the things of God.
But people that makes notifies what the world does.
We are of another world.
And that's why we've got to get into the word of God and understand this.
Because we're coming to a time where survival means knowing God, hearing from God.
And I've taken you through all these scriptures about the Lord said unto the Lord said to Cain, the Lord said to Saul, the Lord said to each one, and God spoke through the spoken word of the Spirit and the words and the lips of Almighty God.
And I believe that the office of the prophet needs to be revised.
It needs to come back, I should say.
It needs to be used again.
And I believe we need prophets that are true prophets.
Prophets that hear from God.
How do you know a prophet?
We learned it last week.
If their prophecies come true.
If not, we're to stone them.
No, we won't do that today.
But that's what happened in the Bible days.
They were stoned.
But we need to hear from God.
God speaks through his spoken word.
God speaks through the Bible.
That is the basis of the authority of the word of God.
It is this written word.
If it is contradictory to this word, I don't want to hear it.
I don't want to talk about it.
I don't want to accept it.
I don't care about anybody's revelation.
If it's outside of this book, anything that is revealed to you from God, this book will back it up.
That's the authority.
The word.
The Son of God is the Word of God.
He was there from the beginning.
And I told you about, and I think we were closing the session, of how my life was changed by a dream.
I learned I had gotten older, Brother Carr.
I'm picking on Owen Carr up here in the front row today.
But I learned I was getting older when I used to have such vision.
And a while back, I started having dreams.
And the Bible says that your young men will have visions and your old men will dream dreams.
We're not left out.
Hallelujah.
It just, I think he knew we were going to take more naps and he can speak to us more in our nap times and things when we get a little older.
But he said we're going to dream dreams and he said you're going to pour out his spirit on the handmaiden so women get ready to prophesy.
Get ready to be used of God.
That's what the book of Joel tells us.
That's what the book of Acts tells us.
And we're going to learn some more from the book of Joel and the book of Acts in a few days.
We're going to learn that the Bible says the sun and the moon is going to go dark.
Isn't it funny the same place we got the assemblies of God?
Tells us that the sun and the moon is going to go dark, but nobody's ever deals with the sun and the moon going dark.
We only deal with the last days going to pour his spirit upon all flesh.
We love that part.
A couple verses later, he says, and the sun and the moon will go dark.
We're going to study about that.
Anything that's seven times in the Bible, I'm going to study it.
I'm going to stand and see what God has to say about it.
Jesus talks about it in Matthew 24 as well.
But when I was in prison, the first time that I felt God really spoke to me was in a dream.
I felt like God had left me.
You know, false theology will kill you.
False theology will destroy you.
And we have another gospel being preached today.
See, my gospel of prosperity that I used to preach and believe and practice, I'm telling you, it doesn't work in prison.
I don't care how hard you believe for a new jet.
The warden ain't going to let it be delivered there.
I want to tell you that.
He has a thing about that.
No jets in the courtyard, in the prison yard.
And so if you have a theology that God, whom God loves, he gives cars and houses and lands and stuff to, then whom God hates, he takes it all away.
That's not true.
That's not true.
God loves the poor.
There's a theology going around right now that says, don't give to the poor, only give to rich preachers.
Boy, is that an abomination?
Somebody's going to answer to some of this stuff the way they've twisted the scriptures around.
Are you hearing me?
I want to tell you, when I went to prison, no cars, no houses, no family, nothing.
Everything's gone.
And so I had to say, God, where are you?
Preachers said I was no good.
Preachers said that I could never be used of God again.
Preachers proclaimed doom over me.
So if these were men of God, then when I got to prison, well, God's gone, must be.
The stuff's gone.
The house is gone.
The cars are gone.
People I thought were my friends are gone.
I thought I lost a lot of friends until I read Proverbs 17:17 that says, A friend loveth at all times and found out I didn't lose any friends.
Just find out who they were.
Isn't that good?
A friend loves at all times.
You don't lose the God stuff.
You don't lose.
When you win somebody to Christ, they go to heaven with you.
That's the only thing you can carry to heaven.
You can take it with you.
You can take people with you.
Isn't that awesome?
Your stuff doesn't go.
Your new mean coat doesn't go.
But I'll tell you, your neighbors can go.
Your family can go.
Your friends can go.
The people in Skid Row, as you win souls on these telephones, you take that to heaven.
You want something to lay at the master's feet?
You can't lay your gold and silver and stuff in your houses and cars and stuff.
That doesn't lay at the master's feet.
Souls, souls.
That's what lays at the master's feet.

You can take them to heaven with you.
We can all go together.
Isn't that exciting?
Look around you.
We could have a reunion in heaven, all of us right here.
We could do it for 10, 20 years if we want.
We got a lot of time in heaven.
It's going to be awesome.
People, we must stand on the word of the living God and not if man is speaking stuff that is contrary.
When I studied the word of God and found out that a lot of what I used to teach was opposite of what Jesus teaches, how come Jesus tells us, woe unto the rich.
How come he says it's almost impossible for a rich man to enter heaven as for a camel to go through the eye of a needle?
How come Jesus said not to put our hearts on the things of this world?
How come the Bible says the root of all evil is the love of money?
How come we're out teaching how to get rich and love stuff?
We have another gospel being preached today, people.
And people are going to go crazy when this prosperity boom ends.
If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you will not survive what's coming on planet Earth.
I've read the book.
It doesn't get better and better.
I'm sorry.
I know this preacher is telling you that it's going to get so good until we're just raptured up.
It's not in the book, folks.
Try reading it.
It really is fascinating stuff.
And so there in prison, I was alone.
I joined clubs in the prison.
They even had clubs in prison.
I got busy.
I made pottery.
I did all these things.
But nothing filled my heart.
And I thought, God, have you left me?
Have you left me?
You know, I'd go over.
There was an old, we didn't have anything nice like this in prison.
We had no nice trees, you know.
We had a little, it was a plant, actually, if I remember correctly, it was made up of about three pieces of different plants.

It's something that stuck together.
But it was an old ugly thing.
And he was just sitting there.
And I remember praying.
Did you ever play a crazy prayer?
I said, God, if you're there at all, if you care about Jim Baker, please shake this tree.
See, it's shaking.
You know.
That's what I wanted.
I was so hungry to hear from God.
I thought he had abandoned me.
The words of preachers had pierced my soul that God didn't love me anymore.
I didn't know what to do.
I was alone in that prison facing 45 years.
I would die in that prison.
God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
cried out.
And one night, I had a dream.
And in the dream, I was sitting next to Jesus, and he was dressed in the most beautiful white and blue robe that I've ever seen.
He was like a diamond himself.
There were colors that I could not describe.
I knew it was a heavenly dream.
When I woke up, it was a technicolor dream beyond color of this world.
It was an unbelievable dream.
And in the dream, Jesus took a sliver of his eye, like a contact lens size, and he took it out of his eye and he reached over and he put it into my eye.
And he said these words, Jim, I want you to see everyone and everything through my eyes.
Oh, when I woke up, I knew I had been with Jesus.
I knew it was supernatural.
I'm telling you, sometimes, you know, like David, he cried out, My God, how long will you forget me forever?
And that's how I felt.
And I heard from God.
And that was my road to Revelation.
That's how I began.
I began to read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
I read it for about two years.
I read over and over and over.
I wrote every word out he spoke.
I just took exact words.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is quoted as the master saying.
I just wanted to know him.
I wanted to know him.
If I was going to see everyone and everything through his eyes, I had to know what he said.
And so I began to study and I began to realize that I was wrong.
I have people always tell me, oh, I hate the title of your book, Jim.
You weren't wrong.
Oh, yes, I was.
And I'm probably still wrong in many ways.
None of us have an edge on truth.
But I'm telling you, when I began to read Jesus, I would read Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and John without moving, without going to the restroom.
I mean, I'd read all four gospels, just read them side by side.
And as I began to read that word, I began to study the word, I began to realize, and the first truth I realized, I'm serious, the first truth I realized was that Jesus had nothing good to say about money.
And I thought, oh my God, how could we major in money today in our churches the way we're doing when Jesus had nothing good to say about it?
God's Dreams Revealed 00:03:43
Now I've gone all the way to the end of the book, the book of Revelation, and I believe the harlot of Revelation is all about materialism that takes the love from God.
And I'll be teaching that as we go along.
But a dream, a dream revealed Christ to me in a way that I needed at that time.
And it was a godly dream.
Theologically correct.
Study the word.
See everything through his eyes.
Max up with the word of God.
And I believe that God wants to speak to people.
Genesis 31, 11, it says, And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying Jacob.
And it goes on.
Genesis 37, 5, and Joseph dreamed a dream.
Genesis 41, 25, the dream of Pharaoh is one.
God has shown Pharaoh.
God showed Pharaoh in a dream.
There is nowhere in the Bible it says that God has stopped talking to people in dreams.
Numbers 12, 6.
And he said, Hear now my words.
If there be a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream.
I'm asking God to let God's people begin to have spiritual dreams.
1 Kings 3, 5, and Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, ask what I shall give thee.
Daniel 4, 18, this dream, I, King Nebuchadnezzar, has seen.
Joel 2, 28, old men shall dream dreams.
Matthew 1, 20.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph.
Here was dream for direction.
God was going to tell him what to do.
Take Mary your wife.
And he was telling her, God can give you directions in your dream.
God will speak to you if you let him.
I tell you, alone time with God is so valuable.
That desert time is where God speaks to you.
We call it the prayer closet.
It can be anywhere where you hear from God.
Matthew 2, 13, it says, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Matthew 2, 19, but when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.
Here God was speaking in dreams to Joseph of what to do with the baby Jesus all along.
Acts 2, 17, here it says again, can you imagine?
Here we go.
Same one.
Your old men shall dream dreams.
From the Old Testament to the New Testament, that's good enough for me, right?
So God speaks in dreams.
God speaks in visions.
Genesis 15, 1, the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision.
Numbers 12, 6, and he said, hear my words.
If there be a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream.
Dreams and visions.
God's not stuck in one way.
God wants to speak to you.
God gave me a vision when I got out of prison.

And it shook me.
And I wrote about it in a book.
And it's on page 110 of this book, Prospering the Coming Apocalypse.

How many know 1997 comes before 1999?
Just a little test to see if you're still awake here, you know.
I know it's hot here in the studio, so I don't want you to go to sleep on me.

This book was published in 1998.
If you look in the front of it, you'll see the copyrighted date.
You'll see the date of publishing of 1998.
Okay?
Let me read just a little piece of this.
At the risk of sounding like an alarmist, I feel compelled to report an unusual personal experience that caused me to believe a major earthquake will soon shake Los Angeles to its foundations.
In 1997, I traveled to Los Angeles to appear on the CNN broadcast of Larry King Live and to speak at several churches in California.
I arrived at night and a chauffeured limousine picked me up.
I was thankful for the ride, but a little uneasy about getting into a limo.
In the years since I lost PTL, I'd become much more comfortable riding in my Jeep.
See, it was pride that I didn't want to ride in a limo because I didn't want people to think that I was, you know, living high.
You know, pride can take on strange appearances.
Think about that for a minute.
See, sometimes we don't go to help the person in need.
See, Jesus could sit down with a prostitute because he was not prideful.
He didn't worry about his reputation.
He could sit on a street corner with a prostitute and minister to her.
He knew who he was.
You understand what I'm saying about this reversal thing?
I just throw that in for somebody.
Nevertheless, the Larry King show had provided the transportation, so I gratefully climbed into the back seat of the stretch limo and settled in for the ride to my hotel.
As we drove from the airport towards the bright lights of the heart of L.A., I experienced one of the strangest sensations of my life.
It was as though my body became a human Geiger counter.
I started resonating with the earth deep below Los Angeles.
I began to shake, and suddenly in the spirit, it was as if I could see down into the earth.
I saw huge boulders bowed upward and grinding against each other like one fist pushing against another.
The Lord began to speak to my heart in mind as clearly as if he had called me on the limo's car phone.
This is the pressure of the ages, the Lord revealed to me.
And it's about to let go.
Trembling, I look outside the car window just as the limo whisped past the beautiful statuesque skyscrapers in downtown L.A.
It was then that I sensed God speaking to me the words I'm reluctant to actually put in print, yet words that have been seared for all eternity in my spirit.
As I stared at the tall buildings, the Lord said to me, not one of these buildings will be left standing.
There is going to be an earthquake unlike any other earthquake this area has experienced.
There will be nothing left.
Then it goes on to say just a little bit more about it.
As I looked down into the earth, and I've never had an experience like this before.
I saw the earth.
It was bowed up like this.
And the Lord showed me that it was going to go up like this.
I thought earthquakes do this.
I'd never seen anything that was going to go up like this.
And God said, this was the pressure of the ages.
And so, literally, my editors didn't want me to even put this in a book because that's insane to put this kind of thing in the book nowadays because they criticize anybody who would prophesy such a thing or say such a thing.
And they thought I needed a better reputation than to add anything crazy.
I said, no, I feel like we're supposed to do it.
So it ended up in this book.
It was copyrighted.
I wrote the book in 97, copyrighted in 98.
And then in March 5th, 1999, the Los Angeles newspaper, the Daily News, this was the headline screaming across a year after this book was published.
And it says, scientists have found solid proof of a massive thrust fault under downtown Los Angeles capable of producing devastating earthquakes across the broad area.
After years of speculation, the discovery published today in the journal Science is the first to decisively map a blind thrust fault under the city.
Massive hidden fault threatens downtown.
Now, what's wilder yet, they said, has never been seen before this date.
I saw it.
I saw it.
How could I see it?
I don't know.
I still, it's strange because I looked into the earth.
I was shaking, literally shaking in the back of that car.
I mean, that wasn't a spiritual place to be in Larry King's limousine.
I mean, you know.
But look, here's the drawing.
Here's the drawing of the two pieces of earth coming together.
One piece going up and the other coming down.
And they're rubbing together the exact vision I had seen.
And you know what the scientists say?
When this thing goes, it's the pressure that has built up.
God called it the pressure of the ages.
The scientists say when this pressure lets loose, it says it will be like many atomic bombs going off under Los Angeles, California.
And the very, very center of this thing is under the Dream Center.
And a few months later, God called me to go to the Dream Center.

I'm out of there now.
No.
But God spoke this.
And I believe that it will come to pass.
God spoke to me, I remember, in another kind of dream vision like this.
And I remember when Lori and I had just gotten married.
And I saw, it was strange.
We went to pick up our marriage pictures, our wedding pictures.
And we're going to go, we had to go to a city near the ocean, and so we were going to go spend the night at the ocean in a nice little room and have a wonderful romantic walk on the beach and everything.
And it got so late, so Lori's so economical.
She said, let's not go all the way to the beach.
She said, those rooms are so high priced.
So we stayed in a flop house or something.
It was just econo.
It wasn't econo lodge.
It was worse than that.
It was an old, dead room, you know, one of those horrible old places.
In fact, we got in and we didn't even know if we should be there because, you know, you thought, oh my Lord, there's got to be something crawling around here.
But anyhow, so we crawled into bed and we got in our sleeping position.
You know, we sleep like two spoons together, you know.
And she All of a sudden, it was like I went into a trance.
It was like I was in another world.
And I saw things I didn't want to see.
And Lori said, What's wrong?
You can't hide anything from this woman.
Women have prophetic ability all by themselves.
I mean, they just have insights, it seems like there's something that God has given women.
But she said, What's wrong?
And I didn't, I wasn't doing anything.
I was just, you know.
And I said, Oh my God.
And I began to, I said, Lori, I can't tell you how I could explain it.
I said, There's going to be a catastrophe in 48 hours, 24 to 48 hours.

I said, I see people dying.
I see people smothering with mud.
They can't breathe.
I said, It's horrible.
It's horrible.
People are dying.
And within 48 hours, one of the worst floods happened in Latin America as thousands were killed with mudslides wiping out whole villages.
And I'd seen that happen in the dream.
And when I was at Rick Joyner's cabin, the big old cabin, he'd give me a place in the basement.
And down there, I spent several weeks with dream and vision after vision of the last days.
And I haven't told them to anybody, and I'm not ready to do yet.
But I'm telling you, I am prepared for the last days.
The last days will not shock me.
I have heard from God.
I have read his book.
I have been through the valley of the shadow of death.
And I want to tell you: Jesus doesn't walk away when you go to prison.
Jesus doesn't walk away in the valley of the shadow of death.
God wants to warn us.
God wants to speak to us.
God wants to give us dreams.
God wants to give us visions.
And I believe that we should be close to God to dream the dreams.
Lori had a dream up at the wonderful, wonderful mountain there with Rick Joyner's, where his center is located there in North Carolina.
Rick prayed that night that everyone would go to their rooms and that God would supernaturally visit them.
And in the night, Lori had a dream.
And it was amazing because I was awake during her dream and she talked out loud.
She was talking out loud in her dream.
And God visited her.
The angels, literally, of the Lord, visited Lori in her dream.
The angels of the Lord were, she was in a place.
She didn't know for sure where it was.
It was a big auditorium-like place.
And people were acting and doing plays, and young people were involved with drama and all.
And Lori walked into the auditorium and they were play acting.
And Lori said, It's time to seek God.
Is that right, honey?
And the people, the young people and the people then fell on their faces and began to worship God instead of play acting, instead of going through theater and drama.
The people fell on their faces before God.
And angelic host in her dream came through that auditorium.
And it was like God was giving his approval.
And one of the big angels came right into her face, and she's talking and talking to him and describing it.
I'm listening to every minute of this in her dream.
And the angel came and just kind of winked at her and nodded the approval that this is what God wanted.
And when we woke up the next morning, Lori says, I want to tell you about my dream.
I said, I'll tell you about your dream.
I don't know if she was shocked, but I had been there with her.
Because she was in, oh, she was in awe.
Oh, the angels of the Lord.
But you know, it was very normal in the Bible for the angels of the Lord to come.
Genesis 22 and 11, the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham.
He said, I am here.
And the angel of the Lord said unto Balaam in Numbers 22, 35.
Judges 2, 4.
And it came to pass when the angel of the Lord spake these words.
And the angel of the Lord said to Elijah, 2 Kings 1, 3, 1 Chronicles 21, 18, the angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to David, the angel of the Lord encampeth around about them that fear him and delivereth them.
Psalms 34, 7, I believe in angels.
And there's more angels than demons.
Demons are just fallen angels.
I believe.
I believe in angels.
And some have entertained angels unaware.
Zachariah 4, 1, and the angel that talked with me came again.
Matthew 1, 20, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream saying, Joseph, thou son of David.
The angel came in a dream.
We didn't even realize it.
You know, you read all this stuff and you don't even, your conscious mind doesn't let you remember that that's in the Bible somehow.
So Lori had the dream of the angels visit her, and then we started to study angel visitation in dreams, and we found out it was a fairly normal thing in the Bible.
The angels, of course, came to Mary.
The angel of the Lord came upon him and a light shining prison, and he smote Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly.
Revelation 22, the angels sent to testify the things to the churches.
God wants to speak to you.
And this is what he said here to the church.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Just one little final point.
In 1999, the beginning of the new millennium time almost right there on New Year's Eve.
Halfway through that year of 99, God woke me in the night, and it was in the pitch dark.

And he spoke to me 31 things that were going to happen on the earth.
And I preached them on that date.
And then again, on December 31st, I preached there at Rick Joyner's conference.
And I have with me the actual page that I wrote on that night.
Now, the miracle, as I said so often, is that I could read this when I got up in the morning.
Because you can't read my writing in the daylight if I write.
You know, so to write this out in the pitch dark and then get up and read it was quite amazing to me.
Some of these things are unbelievable.
The terrorism.
More coming that I'm not going into tonight.
We'll do it later on as we get deeper in Revelation.
But on New Year's Eve of 1999, God woke me again and added one more thing to the 31 things.
And here I wrote it down.
It's right here as it was written down at time.
It says, new explosions, a bomb in New York, in Washington, D.C., at a key military and defense location.
It says, I saw people in terror running.
Why does God do these things?
This was 1999 when God spoke that to me of the explosion in New York in Washington, D.C.
I have it on the paper just as I wrote it down there.
I look back at it, and as I listened to the tape, we got some tapes from Rick Joyners.
I couldn't believe it.
I believe God wants his people to know what's coming on earth.
And I believe you can hear from God.
And we'll talk about those on a later time.
And let's get back to Revelation 2.
These things, saith he, which hath the sharp sword with two edges.
He describes himself differently to every church.
This is amazing, isn't it?
But he says, these things, saith he, which has the sharp sword with two edges.
And this is to the church at Pergamos.
If Satan wanted an area of headquarters, Pergamos, from all my studies, would be the place.
Church Teachings on Sin 00:15:19
It was the capital.
It was the capital city of the providence, a city dedicated to religion.
I know it's a shame, but where there's religion, there's all kinds of wicked activity.
With a temple, they honored a number of deities.
They had temples to the other gods, as well as being the seat of emperor worship.
Remember, John is in prison probably because he refused to say Caesar is Lord.
He said, Jesus Christ is Lord and there is no other.
Well, they were worshiping Caesar.
They were worshiping the emperor.
It was a notorious center of wickedness.
There was a huge altar built there, one that resembled a giant throne, and it was dedicated to Zeus, the chief of the Greek gods.
And this is probably why Jesus said that this is the city where Satan sits on the throne.
The magistrates could execute anyone at their will.
Just snap their fingers and have them have their head cut off or have them crucified.
Jesus said, I'm the one with the two-edged sword.
And I believe perhaps he said that to this church to contrast with the Roman sword, telling the church, I have a sword more powerful than the one that is being wielded against you.
Revelation 2.13.
He says, I know thy works.
Here again, he's saying that same word we heard before.
He knows where you are.
He knows your work.
He knows when you're working hard.
He knows if you're scrubbing floors.
He knows when you're bearing a burden.
He knows you.
He knows about you.
He's touched by the feeling of your infirmities.
He says, I know your works.
I know where you dwell.
Where you reside, where you live, it says in the Greek.
Jesus knows where we are.
I came to Branson overnight.
He knew I was here.
I didn't know I was here, but he knew I was here.
I came here.
I say it's the closest thing to translation I've ever been.
Jerry Crawford moves fast.
When he says, go, go.
He's ready to go.
Boy, he put things into action for us to come here.
Matthew 10, 30 says, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear you, therefore, not.
You are of more value than many sparrows.
I know thy works and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat, his throne is, and thou holdest fast.
You use strength.
You retain my name and has not denied my faith.
And you know that word in the Greek is gospel, the gospel.
It means the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He says, you haven't denied the gospel.
Oh, the gospel says, pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus.
Even in those days where Anibas was my faithful martyr who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
This man was a member of this church.
Ephesians 4:27.
Neither give place to the devil.
Don't give place.
Don't give him a spot.
Don't deny Christ.
They said, Jesus said, you're faithful.
You've been faithful.
But, verse 14, oh, I hate butts.
Oh, my heart just, oh, I just turn in knots as soon as I hear that.
Oh, dear God, they're going to tell me all my sins now.
They're going to tell me what they don't like about me now.
But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine, the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block, a trap, before the children of Israel, to eat sacrifices that were sacrificed, things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
You know, that word fornication is quite interesting in the Greek.
You know what?
I figured out why people love King James so much.
Because it doesn't, you can feel kind of easy about your sins.
It's nicer to be called a fornicator, probably, than a whoremonger.
You want to know what the Greek word of fornication is?
It's like porn you owe.
It's porn.
Pornography comes from this word.
P-O-R-N.
I'll spell it in the Greek, P-O-R-N-E-U-O.
It's pronounced like porno.
I'm not very good at Greek pronouncing.
I just study it.
And in other words, this word is like pornography, porno.
It says, you commit fornication, the act of being a harlot, sexual relationship out of marriage, the whore, the harlot.
Literally, to indulge unlawfully lust of either sex or the practice of idolatry.
That's what this word, fornication.
And here in the church, Jesus is saying, you're letting this false prophet teach you stuff that's porno.
You're teaching stuff in the church that are wrong.
We heard the other day, and I keep saying it, but 95% of the teenage boys by the time of 19 have sex outside of wedlock in the church.
Church boys.
Church girls.
Girls are only about 85%.
What is this?
We have sin in the house of the Lord and we don't deal with it.
We don't want to preach on it.
We're busy telling them how to get rich, how to prosper, how to fall in love with the things of the world.
Instead of telling them we've got to repent of our sin, this is what he's saying to the church.
This is a message for the church today.
We have let, listen, the devil is so smart.
I tell you, he has learned something.
People say he's dumb and he doesn't learn anything.
He's learned something.
He used to persecute the church and he stopped persecuting the church so much because now he just slipped in nice, soft-spoken, slippery, tongued, silver-tongued orators to come in and preach stuff to us to put us to sleep and to fall in love with the things of this world.
He's brought false teaching into the church, and that's what happened in this church.
You see, when the devil persecutes the church, we all get together and the church grows.
The church in China underground was huge.
The church underground in Russia grew.
These churches grew with persecution.
But the very demonic thing that's happening today is false doctrine has come into the church.
And the very thing that's the root of all evil, we are propagating the love of money.
Can you not get that?
Forgive me for being so angry, but how can the church keep endorsing the love of money?
How come you sit there and watch on television and you go to churches that are telling you how to get rich, how to be millionaires, when the love of money is the root of all evil?
How can you do it?
Because we're not in the word.
We're proof texting the Bible.
We're taking a piece here and a piece there and making God say things he never said.
We're preaching another gospel.
And this is the warning to this church.
It says, Thou hast also them that hold, so hast thou also them that hold the doctrines of the Nicolas, which things I hate.
Remember the Nicolithians?
I can't even say it today.
Nicolithiathans?
That's good enough.
We're a sect who taught in pure doctrine, impure practices.
They supposedly derived their teachings from Nicholas, one of the seven deacons mentioned in Acts 6:5.
They taught that adultery was okay.
Fornication was okay.
The kids in our church are shacking up before marriage.
They're living together just like the world.
Oh, it's okay.
It's okay.
Everything's okay.
It's not okay.
You better read the book.
We have no fear of God.
Holiness is a laughter.
The word says, Without holiness, no man shall see God.
What are you going to do with narrow is the way and few, say few.
Few there be that find it.
That's the scariest verse in the Bible, probably.
Oh, everybody's going to heaven today.
God bless America.
God's land.
God's land that officially banned the Bible.
Officially banned prayer.
Murdered 40-some million babies now already.
God bless America.
We are believing a lie, people.
Judgment's coming.
I don't get invited to preach in many big churches anymore.
Now you know why.
It's not popular.
I went to prison to get this message.
Someday you're going to say, Jim, thank you.
I'm scared.
I'm scared of what's being preached today.
It's opposite of the teachings of Jesus.
With the blood of Jesus covering all sin, they preach lewdness, lawlessness, as a proper way of life.
That grace basically was a license to sin.
It's not.
God is angry that they embraced false teachers.
Verse 16: Repent.
Turn away from that way.
Or else I will come unto thee quickly or suddenly and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
The word of God, the spoken word of God.
God said it is 46 times in the Bible.
God said.
God said it.
God speaks and worlds come into creation.
God said, repent, or else I will come unto thee quickly, suddenly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Verse 17, he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
To him that overcometh, that subdues the devil, subdues sin unto you through Jesus Christ, will I give to eat of the hidden manna?
God's provision.
Don't worry about what you're going to eat.
Don't worry about what tomorrow is going to.
You're going to have hidden manna.
That spiritual, spiritual food.
God's provision here, I believe, can refer to the last days when men will not be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast.
And he says, and I will give him a white stone and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth, saying, he that received it, except he that received it.
What I should read.
Here's what this church says: Repent.
Turn away from the wicked teaching.
You've got to turn from this false doctrine.
It's going to kill you.
The Lord spoke to me in prison.
One of the last words he gave me before I left prison, he says, warn the church to stop falling in love with the material things of the world because the stock market will crash.
He said it.
I don't know.
I'll have to wait and see if I heard from God.
But he said, church people will blow their brains out just like the world when the money system's gone.
He said, beg my people, teach my people, fall in love with me, not in love with the things of this world.
That white stone.
There's several meanings of that white stone, but it is so beautiful that he's going to give you that hidden manna, that manna.
You know, it was in the Ark of the Covenant.
They actually stored some away.
You know the story of manna, manna came from heaven to feed them.
And the white stone and the hidden manna, the ark of the covenant was where the ark, the oil, the rod, the testimony, the manna, and if we partake in his grace, we're going to have all these spiritual things that are, I could go on and on, and we're out of time today, but maybe we can talk a little bit about it next week.
But as you are turning, repenting, moving towards God, he says, I'm going to give you a white stone.
The white stone was how the king could say, you are pardoned.
If you got a black stone, you were dead.
If you were given a white stone, you had a pardon.
And that's why this term white stone is in here.
This was the pardon.
And this meant you were acquitted.
You were set free with a white stone.
And so he that hear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.
A Place of Redemption 00:02:04
To him that overcometh, I will give to eat of hidden manna.
Praise God.
And he says, then I'll give him a white stone with a new name written.
And the name, your name was written.
Something they did in Bible days is on this white stone, they'd etch a name, and even the king could give you this stone with your name on it, his name on it.
And it meant hospitality.
It meant that even your family would have hospitality and a place to go, no matter what.
A place to stop as you travel.
A place to come in the time of need.
And so Jesus said, I'm going to give you this white stone of redemption.
This white stone, I'm preparing a place for you.
You're in my family.
You've got your name on this stone.
And you've got the entrance into heaven.
You have an interest into the place, my home, that I have prepared for you.
So people, let's listen to the word.
If you have an ear to hear, let us hear what the Spirit is saying unto the churches.
Because this is for us today.
And we're going to deal with the next church, God willing in our next lesson.
Let us pray.
Father, thank you, God, you've made a way of escape.
Lord, thank you that we can turn from our sins.
We can repent.
Oh, God, I pray that not one person in this room will miss heaven.
I pray, God, that you will give us that white stone with our name written on it.
Oh God, don't let that day come upon us unaware.
But let everyone in this room be ready, I pray.
