Today our special guests are co-owner of Pearl Oral Health, Dr. Tom Lokensgaard and co-owner of Pearl Oral Health, Dr. Joe Doctora and project manager for Pearl Oral Health, Jamie Clifton.

We are excited you chose to tune in with us today.
It is an exciting day, Mondo.
Every day is exciting when you have our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the forefront of it.
Because you know what?
When you wake up and you say yes to the Holy Spirit, you don't know where the Holy Spirit's going to take you.
You know, when you look back at your life, you're grateful.
Because if God got you out of a mess, then God would turn your mess into a message.
And I believe that everyone has a message.
Everyone has a story to tell.
And when you have a story to share, you go back to grace because where grace lives, you understand that's where the heart of God is.
That's right.
You know, it's funny you say that.
We didn't talk about this before show, before the show, but Romans 5, chapter 12, I was reading this this morning and I think it's important to read to you today, believer.
I'm reading out of the CSB, the Christian Standard Bible.
It says, therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people because all sinned.
In fact, sin was in the world before the law, but sin is not charged to a person's account when there is no law.
Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam's transgression.
He is a type of the coming one.
I'm going to skip down.
It says, and the gift is not like one man's sin because from one man's sin came the judgment resulting in condemnation, but from many transpasses or transpasses, yep, came the gift resulting in justification.
Mondo, we've been given a free gift that simply as believers, we have to accept that Jesus dying on the cross, that is the redemption of our sins.
We are born into sin.
We are sinful by nature, believer.
If you're watching this, we're sinful by nature, but we have a Redeemer who said, you know what?
It's absolutely worth it that I go live as a man, perfect, blameless, and die on a cross for the world's sins.
To simplify what you just read, right?
I'm a very simple-minded person, but where sin abounds, much more grace abounds.
I want to tell you something.
You may find yourself in a place where everything seems dark, yet when grace steps in, the light of God begins to shine on everything that he will restore for you.
You know, this is the picture of our own lives, the restoration, the grace of God.
You know, it's so funny we talk about grace because the moments that brought a gangster to grace is the subtitle of my book, My Crazy Life.
And it was those moments of grace that brought me to the place where I am today to understand that God loved me for who I was.
You know, I stop and think about this because I was not afraid of going to prison.
I was not afraid of dying.
I was not afraid of getting into battle.
And that's not because I was tough.
Instead, it was because I was afraid to be loved.
I was afraid that God can love me.
I remember the preacher saying to me, you know, what happens if you leave this room knowing that there's a bullet with your name on it?
Are you going to walk away knowing that you heard the gospel for the first time?
Are you going to be afraid of knowing that he loves you?
And I think that's what captivated me was that when he told me he loves you, he's crazy about you.
He died on the cross to forgive you of your sins.
Amen.
That was the moment that changed everything.
And I believe that's the moment that would change for you when you realize that he loves you for who you are.
He loves you, period.
I think that's where we complicate things is that we think that we have to earn his love.
That's right.
When all it is, is the simplicity of accepting the fact that you have been loved for who you are.
And I think that's why a lot of people have a hard time.
That's right.
You know, I love your book because you gave me a copy preemptively before it was released.
I loved it.
I read the full entire book and I loved it.
But you live a Romans 6 lifestyle because it says, what?
Do we continue to sin so that grace may continue to multiply?
No, no, we turn from our wicked ways and we continue to walk.
Because if we're dead to our trespasses, we no longer live in sin.
But that's what you did.
You walked away from a ridiculously hard lifestyle where somebody said, hey, you told me one time, they said, you're going to leave two ways.
You're either going to leave in a body bag or you're going to go to prison forever.
That's the only ways out of this.
But you found yourself in a situation where you had the opportunity to leave.
I know this is all in the book, but if someone's watching right now, they have an opportunity to leave their situation.
What would you say, even if it's a hard choice?
Oh, you know, the simple thing is accept the fact that you've been accepted.
That's the first step.
Accept the fact that you have been accepted where you are.
I think a lot of times you complicate things that maybe if I just clean myself up, maybe if I stop smoking, maybe if I stop drinking, maybe if I stop doing this.
Listen, it doesn't start there.
It starts at the fact that where you are is fine.
It's okay where you are.
Now accept the fact that he loves you.
Number two.
Number three is this one, that when you know that he loves you, now you want to do less of the sin.
Because when you love somebody, absolutely, because I think that's the word, right?
Conviction.
My heart was convicted at the moment to understand that I was loved for who I was at that moment.
Now, what can I do in return?
Not to earn it, but to just say thank you for loving me.
And I think some of you need to understand that sometimes, maybe most of the time, you have to be thankful for the fact that you have been loved where you are.
I mean, I think about the two of you, right?
How thankful you guys have become for the fact that someone stepped in and said, hey, can your life change if I just love you?
That's right.
You know, remember dad used to, we go back and tell the stories, but one day that changed everything for you was the moment that dad disciplined you in a way that convicted your heart.
And that was a moment of grace.
Why do you think that moment of discipline was a moment of grace and not a moment to get even with you?
You know, Mondo, we talk about it often on the show, but that was a pivotal moment in my life.
I remember being 13 years old and thinking, you know, growing up with no fathers in the home, growing up and not realizing that you could have a father and what would that look like?
What would that mean?
And so when mom and dad brought us into their home and they adopted us as their children, you know, Mondo, I remember the day I was so, I was disrupting the entire family because I was hardened.
I was hurt.
I was always getting into trouble.
I was always up to something.
But I remember I was just disrupting the family and dad took me and he put me over his knee and he literally just thanked me.
And I'm 13 years old and I'm thinking, I look at him and I say, I'm like, you can't do that.
You're not my dad.
You can't do that.
And you know what?
He looked at me and he said, and he grabbed me and he embraced me and he says, you are my daughter.
And God, and he began to show me, he's like, when God loves someone, Marisala, he's like, then God disciplines them.
So how much more as a father here on earth, as I love you?
And that's really, if you ever want to, it's in Hebrews.
That was my Hebrew moment where literally in the book of Hebrews, it talks about God the Father.
And if he is the Father who disciplines us and our earthly father loves us, then how much more does the Father above love us?
So sometimes when we're going through, and this is a word of encouragement, really, you know, we don't often talk about discipline in the church, but God says that those who he loves, then he disciplines, he chastens, he corrects, because it puts you back on that straight and narrow pathway.
And I want to encourage you that if you're finding yourself in a place where you say, wow, I feel disciplined.
You know, God corrects us, and it's not always easy.
But I want you to know that that is the love of the Father.
That's the love of a true father.
That's the love of our heavenly father.
He says, not only for children does he discipline, but even as we grow older and older, no matter what age we are in our faith, be open to say, Lord, if there's anything within me that is not pleasing, if there's anything in me, Lord, that does not glorify you, Lord, then will you correct me?
Will you put me on that right path?
And he will do that.
But discipline is a beautiful thing from the Lord.
And that's the thing that dad taught me in the natural.
And I told him, Dad, listen, I know you're watching.
I'm now your perfect daughter.
What can I say?
That's right.
Now when you say dad, you're talking about God.
And that's not in his nature.
Never.
I'm like, you have to understand that's not dad.
So when he spanked me, I was like, what is this?
He disciplined me.
He disciplined you too.
That's right.
You know, I'm often reminded of John chapter eight, where we see the woman caught in adultery.
And of course, she's brought before Jesus and they were trying to use this as a spectacle to try to entrap Jesus in something.
And he said something, oh, so beautifully after conversing back and forth to the Pharisees, the Sadducees.
He said, you know, how about you without sin cast the first stone?
And one by one, they begin to just drop their stones and leave.
But he says something beautiful to her.
He goes, you know, who is it here that now wants to stone you?
And she said, well, no one.
He goes, well, neither do I condemn you.
But this is the part that's important, friend.
He said, now go and sin no more.
Believer, you're accepted.
You're brought into the family of Christ, but you must take that call to go and sin no more.
Live that holy lifestyle.
And you're saying, well, Brother Ricky, I don't know if I can live a holy lifestyle.
You can't live a holy lifestyle, friend.
You can't live a perfect lifestyle, but the Holy Spirit in you can convict you in a way that every step is guided by him.
Friend, I had a conversation with someone the other day, Mondo, where they're saying, you know what?
I don't believe it's actually possible to walk in the perfect will of God.
And I was taken back by that.
I said, well, you know, explain that to me.
Why not?
He goes, well, you know, someone's 45 years old.
They've lived a really long time, you know, and they've just given their life to the Lord.
How have they walked in the perfect will of God?
I said, well, friend, if you're 45 years old, 55 years old, 85 years old, and you have just accepted Christ into your life and you have given everything over to him saying, hey, I surrender everything about my being, you are now walking in the perfect will of God for your life.
You may not have been, friend, but you are now.
And that's the redemptive power of the Holy Spirit.
We're all prodigals at one point, Mondo.
And, you know, that's one thing I love about this book is this is truly, I mean, I know it's not like that, but this is truly a prodigal son story because you came from essentially, you know, living a good life in Guatemala at a young age.
They had a civil war.
You had to flee the country.
You became the true prodigal son.
I mean, you went out there and you did everything for the gang world, but then Jesus said, it's time for you to come home, son.
And you said, yes, it is time.
That's powerful because I think about it because I thought that God wanted to get even with me.
And one of the troubling things that I dealt with growing up was how can a just God, how can a good God allow this to happen to a little boy?
And that angered me.
That frustrated me because I thought that God wanted to get even with me.
And then when I met dad 26 years ago and I said, Jim, you know, at that time, I said, Pastor Jim, how can you serve God?
Don't you feel like God was trying to get even with you by taking away this and putting you in prison and allowing all these crazy things to happen?
And even when I met him, I was still angry at God that how can a good God allow good people to go through something?
Yes.
Is he trying to get even with you?
Is he trying to get even with the world?
And he looked at me and he said, I want you to remember this.
God sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to get even at the cross for the sin that you and I created for ourselves.
He said, He doesn't hate you.
He loves you enough to send his only begotten son.
But when I understood that, I understood my journey that God was not trying to get even with me.
He got even at the cross.
That's right.
And I think when you accept the fact that he got even at the cross, it gives you the ability to start letting go of unforgiveness.
There's a lot of people that are sick today because they're holding on to unforgiveness.
That's right.
The other day I did something, and I know we got to go, but I did something to explain to my son, Mateo, that there are things that life will bring to you that will give you either the choice to hold on to or to let go.
And I gave him a 25-pound weight, and I put my picture of my family.
I put a picture of his future, a picture of everything that he can achieve in life.
And I asked him to hold on to this weight on top of everything, his family, his dreams, his love for God.
And I said, imagine this is anger that you're holding on to.
How long can you hold on to before it drops and destroys your future?
It destroys your family.
And he said, well, I can hold on to it.
A minute into it, I see him struggling.
And to the point where he dropped it and it dropped and it shattered everything that was laying in the bottom.
I said, the more you hold on to it, there's so much resistance that you can hold on to until the point where you have to let go of it.
And it destroys your dreams.
It destroys your family.
It destroys.
And that's a lot of you.
You're holding on to unforgiveness.
Yeah, and the bottom is family, is your hopes, is your dreams, is your family, is your church, is your ambitions, your love for God.
And yet you're so stubborn that you think you can hold on to unforgiveness to the point that when it drops, it drops to everything that you were holding on to from keeping it from hurting.
Yet that's what I was doing.
I was holding on to emotions that I didn't know that it was destroying me.
That's right.
Yet when I understood that he loved me, that was the liberating part because then you understand that you let go and you let God.
That's right.
You know, Pastor Jim Baker, our father, is the prime example, the best example of this.
Forgiving somebody, friend, it doesn't mean that what they did to you was right.
I want you to remember that.
Just because you're forgiving somebody doesn't mean what they did was right.
It simply means that you are free.
It simply means that you no longer have to hold that burden, friend.
You no longer have to bear those chains, no longer have to carry that cross, friend.
Forgiving somebody else is one of the most important things that we can do as believers.
Honestly, that is one of our secret weapons as believers.
It is one of the things that allows us to overcome large obstacles.
Lawando, one thing I love about you is you're always trying to help other people overcome obstacles.
You know, this is something that I believe you've been passionate about for many years.
Even when I was a young boy going through the woes of life as a teenager, the woes of life in the army, you're always saying, hey, man, if there's an obstacle, how can we overcome it with God?
And I appreciate you for that.
You wrote about it, like I said, in this book.
You have meticulously given your entire life, good, bad, ugly, indifferent.

You've written about it and you've just exposed it all here so that other people can overcome obstacles as well.
And I want to say thank you for being vulnerable enough.
Thank you.
You know, one of the other things I want to just mention to somebody, this just came out today.
It's the very first day.
If you have the U version on the Bible app, you have a series called Overcoming Obstacles with God that people can do.
It's a five-day devotional series.
Absolutely.
Simple steps that I found the keys to overcoming the obstacles of everyday life, the stress and things that I still live through today and the things that I'm practicing today.
But I want you to get it because I believe that the more you hide the word of God in your heart, the easier life will become because when you let God, you let go of everything and the obstacles that you're facing.
Listen, if we sit down one of these days and told you the obstacles that the three of us had to overcome the last three or four years, it will shock you to even understand how in the world is Marisela, Ricky, and Mondo are still sitting here proclaiming the good news of the gospel.
But I tell you what it is, is learning that it's all about the word Jesus and obedience.

Now, when you come into being a believer, there are things you have to let go.
You can't live like the world.
You can't look like the world, friend.
You have to be set apart.
The Bible even calls us a peculiar people.
And you know, you might have seen quite a few peculiar people.
I feel like I'm turning into one of them as well.
But, friend, that's okay because we are called to be set apart and to be holy.
Namada, you know, the Jim Baker family show has the unique opportunity to do something that I believe no other Christian broadcast can do.
We can integrate the word of God.
We are, you know, bent on making sure people are prepared for the end times because I truly do believe we're living in the end times.
But Pastor Jim Baker has been warning, a watchman on the wall for many, many years about things to come.
26 years that I've known him, every year God gives him a word.
Last time I was there was 1999, and of course, the last few years here.
Yes.
But the major one that I understood was, wow, this is about to happen was the 31 things that he began to talk about: famines, and wars, and rumors of wars, and all the earthquakes and volcanoes.
And I said, you know what?
I need to begin to study what this means because if we are headed to that moment, then what does the church do?
Right.
But it's unbelievable that since 1999, he has been ministering regarding the wars and famines and things that we're seeing more today than we were seeing in 1999.
That's right.
You know, we have a clip from Pastor Jim Baker.
I want to watch this because this is important.
This is from his mouth about wars and famines, things that are happening right now.
Take a look at this.
The world is in deep trouble.
Do you realize the biggest thing that's going to cause people to go to war is hunger, food?
I was going to say, if you think the writing is bad now, just wait till they're hungry.
Nearly 282 million people.
The latest global report on food crisis is a roll call of human failures.
You know, all of plenty, children are starving to death.
But I'm warning him today because it's coming.
It's not too many months away.
And I want people just to know, be prepared.
Right.
Everything in the Bible, God always had his people prepared.
I mean, I am so upset over what God is telling me and showing me.
In the old days, even I had people call me the prophet of doom because I prophesied things that are coming.
The end times are really, really bad.
I don't think people understand.
The day of Noah, they were just like today.
They were living in reprobate sin.
Shoplifting is so bad.
You have to ask a cashier for detergent.
In the Northeast, there has been a 500% increase in sexual offenses since 2014.
Stalking and harassment has gone up 6,000%.
St. Louis County police are investigating an early morning home invasion where a homeowner shot a man breaking into his North St. Louis County home.
All hell is going to break loose.
The operation to eliminate Hamas in Rafah continues at a steady pace.
Hundreds of thousands of Gazans are fleeing the war zone.
Israel has long accused the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, UNRWA, of collaborating with Hamas.
Now it's releasing video of Hamas terrorists operating next to UN vehicles at an UNRWA facility in Rafah.
There's going to be bombs.
There's going to be floods.
Tonight, chaos mounting in flood-ravaged Brazil, whereas swollen rivers rise yet again.
Police patrol submerged streets desperate to stop looters.
Brazilian officials say close to 150 people have died and roughly 130 are still missing in the widespread floods.
There's going to be things that like we've never seen before.
Earthquakes, volcanoes, all these things are going to happen because the Bible says so.
Wow.
Amen.
All I can say is, wow, we are living in that moment.
We are living here.
We are watching the world go upside down.
The key is this.
It's not one single event.
That's right.
It's when all the events converge together all at the same time.
And you start watching the suddenlies and you start watching.
God's Watchmen on the Wall 00:07:54
This is not to scare you.
This is to just realign to where we are today and for your faith to be back in the word of God.
That's right.
God uses the prophets, the watchmen on the wall, to warn us, to get us prepared.
Yet, if we're not watching, then what do we do?
That's right.

And yeah, and congratulations on the book, Mondo.

But yeah, but things have been going well since we left your show.
Sales are up, I think.
I think this platform has given us a forum to showcase our products.
And I think people are learning and becoming and awakening to like an alternate form of dentistry and products that's non-toxic and healthy.

Now, Dr. Tom, what does it mean to be a holistic dentist?
Well, first of all, I want to compliment you guys and thank you for what you're doing.
And I could listen to you guys all day.
I could listen to you all day talk about what you're talking about, current events and all that kind of thing.
So, but what makes me different and what makes the holistic dental movement different is that compared to the former drill, fill, and bill type dentistry where you walk into a clinic and they're looking for things to fix so they can make money.
And they've kind of gone the route of the big pharma, big pharma medical practices that just are reliant on drugs, et cetera.
So what we do is we look at the whole body.
We look at the whole body and God's creation, it is God's creation, and we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
And so we look at everything that like it can be fixed naturally.
There is a time and a place for dentistry that and dentists and medical doctors, if you have a severe incident, but we look at things naturally.
So we want to approach everything from a natural standpoint.

And my husband was like, oh, my wife would be perfect.
So here we are.
The rest is history.

Can you kind of explain how that works?
Well, that's true, Ricky, and thank you again.
What we're trying to develop here is a product that affects the cardiovascular system and the lungs and all the organ systems because the mouth is the beginning of the gut, which is the beginning of your health, right?
So what our toothpaste does is it increases a chemical called nitric oxide.
Nitric oxide controls the vascularity and the vascularization of the blood vessels.
The blood vessels are to the point where the endothelial wall, which is the inner lining, need to be expanded.
And so in every situation with every disease state, you can look at the loss of oxygen to the organ system.
We're looking for a product that will balance the oral microbiome, that'll increase oxygenation, and that's nitric oxide, which is produced in the mouth.
And so as you breathe, if you're a nasal breather, the nitric oxide is made in the nasal passages, and then it goes to the stomach, and it increases the vascularity.

And I remember one of the biggest things was a dentist came and he said, Pastor Jim, he's like, I want to bless your children.
And so I think of that dentist often because many health challenges that I, even I dealt with in my life, I began to realize the importance of that moment of root canals that had to be done, literally 19 teeth that had to be worked on, fixed.
That's a lot of work that you have to do at 12 years old.
But it was because of the practice of oral health.
And I don't think people realize, I believe that there's people at home who, guess what?

What changes have you seen in overall health when caring with your patients?
And, you know, of course, it's our understanding, you know, people don't take the best care of their teeth until they have a crisis.
And that's where I believe that many people are sitting right now.
They wait, they wait.
Sometimes it's for cost, but there's so many things that they're doing that until it becomes a crisis, but they actually don't realize the impact that it's having on their overall health.
Can you speak to that?
Yeah.
A lot of it, a lot of what I see, what I've seen recently is just a general distrust of the overall of the media and, you know, what they're promoting and pushing and that the consumers are getting more educated and reading labels and wanting more healthy products put in their mouth.
So they're savvy in terms of saving their money or spending their money and wanting what they want.
So I think they're seeking out products which are non-toxic.
There's no harmful chemicals in there.

But yeah, it's never too late to start.

So I'm bringing that back now.
I have a four-year-old daughter.
It's every single, every single morning, hey, first thing you got to do, you got to get up and you got to brush your teeth.
You go to sleep right before you go to sleep.
You have to brush your teeth.
And I'm teaching these things, realizing, you know what, as a young boy, I didn't actually, you know, three, four years old, I didn't have that opportunity to have someone sit down and teach me that.
But we're looking at labels now, Monda.
Making sure, you know, hey, is there unnecessary items that don't need to be in a toothpaste going in my four-year-old, going in my one and a half-year-old?
It's important nowadays.
I believe that it is your parents' responsibility.
It's your responsibility, grandparent, grand, grandparent, and parent, to make sure you know what is being given to your grandchildren and to your children.
