Armor of God Reimagined 00:03:04
Most people, when you tell them put on the armor of God, Ephesians chapter 6, the first thing that pops in their mind is a Roman soldier.
Yes.
In fact, even if you go on the internet and they think of a Roman soldier, number one, the Jewish people, the Israelites, didn't even like the Roman soldiers.
No.
So why is Paul going to use that as an example?
Number two, the Bible says that the priests, when they went into service, it's like military service into the sanctuary, the temple, they went out without shoes.
Roman soldiers have shoes.
Number two, three, the Bible says that when Yeshua returns, his feet are going to land on the Mount of Olives.
It doesn't say his boots are going to land on the Mount of Olives.
Remember, he is our high priest.
He is.
And so we're the priests.
And so when it says put on the full armor of God, it's speaking about the priestly garments.
This is all in the Old Testament.
And there's so many scriptures, even in the book of Revelation, where it says you have a few in Sardis who have not defiled my name, for they will walk with me in white.
That white is the priestly garments.
You look at the book of Revelation, and he's coming back on a white horse, and behind him is an army.
What's that army?
That army are wearing white.
They're not wearing Roman soldier outfits.
Those are the priestly garments.
And so when he speaks about putting on the full armor of God, he's talking about putting on the priestly garments.
We're all priests and not Roman soldiers.
Once again, deception by the Chaldean spirit.
I want you to think that it's a Roman soldier.
There are scriptures in the Old Testament.
And I go through a whole teaching in the book that shows you the scriptures and everything very clear.
Yes.
There are a spiritual garment then.
It's a spiritual garment.
Right now, because there's no more sanctuary, there's no more real word.
Because if he's an atomic bomb, the armor of the Roman soldier is not going to protect us.
Absolutely.
That's right.
What's going to protect you is the word of God.
It's the armor of God.
What's the armor of God?
It's his word of God.
And the book of Revelation said, the word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword, right?
Also, the book of Hebrews and other places in Isaiah as well.
And so that's what it's speaking about.
It's the breastplate.
It's the word of God, the girdle, the priest hat.
That's what it's speaking about.
If you look at, for example, when Moses met God, he took off his sandals.
Joshua took off his sandals.
Why?
Take off your shoes for you're standing on holy ground.
And so as priests, we're on holy ground, even though we're in the world, we're not of the world.
And so this deception of a Roman soldier, if you're reading the scriptures, the book of Isaiah, and you're looking for a Roman soldier, you're not going to find it.
In fact, the Bible even warns that God will punish all those that wear strange apparel.
All the kings of the earth, everybody.
What's a strange apparel?
I would say that a Roman soldier is a strange apparel.
Wow.
But there are scriptures in the Old Testament, just plugging into what he said, everything he said is in here and much more about that.
Paul's Quotations 00:01:16
That literally Paul is quoting from the Old Testament when he says, put on the breastplate of righteousness, put on the book of Isaiah, the belt of truth.
Put on, you know, get up your sword.
The priests had swords.
God sent them out throughout the camp when they were in the wilderness, and the priest got the swords and killed those that were worshiping the golden calf.
The priest had swords at times.
They had the breastplates of righteousness.
They had the belt.
But not only does it say that about the priest, but it literally says, God, before he leads into battle, he puts on, he has the breastplate of righteousness.
He has the belt of truth.
He marches forward in that truth.
And so Paul is quoting from that.
He's not quoting about Romans.
He's quoting from the Old Testament.
He was a rabbi.
There was no New Testament.
Everything that you read in the New Testament, they're quoting from the Old Testament.
Even Yeshua, when he was walking at his ministry, what was he quoting from?
He's quoting everything from the Old Testament.
And so it can't be a Roman soldier.
So that's another big, huge deception.
And a lot of people like to ask me, okay, what does it matter if I know if it's a Roman soldier or if it's a priest?
Well, then you'll read your Bible and you'll miss all these Bible verses and won't be able to connect them.
