Stand Firm for Righteousness
00:02:26
|
|
| You've watched these that they kind of compromise. | |
| If you'll compromise a little, you'll compromise a lot. | |
| And we're not going to let them move us. | |
| Remember, they beat up the disciples and told them, don't you ever preach or teach again in the name of Jesus. | |
| And they went out, started preaching, teaching. | |
| Don't give in, don't give up. | |
| Here's what the Bible says. | |
| It says the evil forces ruled and rage until, until the ancient of days stood and rendered a verdict in behalf of the saints of God. | |
| Hang on now. | |
| I'm telling you, we're in a little period of time called the until. | |
| And God is about to intervene. | |
| And when God intervenes, things swiftly change. | |
| And that's what's going to happen. | |
| And so stay faithful to God. | |
| Stay faithful to the word of God. | |
| Stay faithful in prayer. | |
| Here it says, let us not grow weary in well-doing. | |
| We will reap if we faint not. | |
| And the Bible said in the book of Daniel, Daniel says, seven said that the evil forces wanted to rule and rage in such a way and wear out the saints of God. | |
| Say, wear out. | |
| Wear out. | |
| Most of the saints of God you know of are going through that kind of a process. | |
| There's been such a struggle till the devil's trying to wear them out. | |
| But let us not grow weary and well-doing. | |
| We're going to reap if we faint not. | |
| We're not going to faint. | |
| Here's what we're going to do. | |
| It's Isaiah, what, 30? | |
| Have you not heard? | |
| Didn't you get the memo? | |
| The everlasting God's not weary. | |
| They that wait upon the Lord will what? | |
| Renew. | |
| They will renew their strength. | |
| They'll manifest wings as eagles. | |
| They'll run and not be weary. | |
| They'll walk and not faint. | |
| We're about to get a spiritual charge here. | |
| You understand? | |
| We're about to get our second win, so to speak. | |
| Because listen, this is it. | |
| This is it. | |
| This is not warm-up. | |
| We have got to take a stand, a real stand for righteousness. | |
| And God's going to do it for us. | |
| Remember in Nehemiah's day, they had to build in battle at the same time. | |
| That's right. | |
| And that's what we got to do. | |
| We've got to build in battle. | |
| But I think sometimes we're like Gideon was in the book of Judges. | |
| There's a war going on, and Gideon's down in a wine vat. | |
| He's sifting some wheat down there. | |
| That ain't where you do that stuff. | |
| You get out on a mountainside to blow the chaff away. | |
| But here's what happened. | |
| It said that the Almighty God said, hello there, you victorious warrior. | |
| And what does Gideon say? | |
| Yeah, you must be mistaken. | |
| I'm from the tribe of Manasseh. | |
| Manasseh is the smallest tribe in all Israel, and I'm the wussiest one in my family. | |
|
Seeking Christ's Sufficiency
00:02:47
|
|
| That's basically what he said, if you read it. | |
| We got to quit underestimating who God is in us. | |
| You understand that? | |
| Yes, we do have to understand. | |
| You're right. | |
| Stop underestimating. | |
| We cannot be stopped. | |
| Right. | |
| Unless we just give up and give in. | |
| We're not going to do it. | |
| Oh, I like that. | |
| I do too. | |
| I was just reading about Gideon yesterday morning as you bring him. | |
| And you're so right what he was saying. | |
| So fascinating. | |
| I'm fascinated how it ended. | |
| It said, and God clothed Gideon with God. | |
| Yes. | |
| And that's what you and I need to do, that knowing what a critical hour it is. | |
| We're to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the lusts of the flesh. | |
| You know, you also, I just got it. | |
| It's gotten a question, but I know you also talk about how we're to put on the armor of God each day. | |
| I want to hear your teaching. | |
| People asked me, they said, how do you seek the Lord? | |
| Number one, Matthew 6, 6 says, get in the quietest room of your house, shut the door. | |
| The Lord pointed his finger at me once about seeking the Lord. | |
| He said, hey, you tell my people, when it comes to seeking me, I detest multitasking. | |
| Whoa, you'll find me when you search for me and seek for me with all your heart. | |
| But I think one of the number one weapons we need to put on is a helmet. | |
| See, we got to keep our thinking straight. | |
| And then we got to put on the helmet of salvation and taking the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. | |
| And I'm telling you, it's very capable of cutting asunder. | |
| I'm telling you, so we got to seek the Lord. | |
| Here's one of the ways I seek him. | |
| Now, you'll find out a little bit about that. | |
| Get in that secret room, that Matthew 6, 6, quietest room we have, shut the door. | |
| And here's what I say. | |
| And I mean it. | |
| I say, Lord, these are not my hands. | |
| They're your hands. | |
| See, the Holy Spirit doesn't have hands till you give him yours. | |
| I said, These are not my lips, they're yours. | |
| And it's yielding yourself to Christ. | |
| Yeah, and just yield yourself to him. | |
| He'll take everything you offer him. | |
| You understand that? | |
| And then Paul said it this way: for me to live is Christ. | |
| And we need to be so Christ-like. | |
| Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, make no provision. | |
| He's sufficient for any task, isn't he? | |
| He really is. | |
| What a time to be alive. | |
| Honestly, I wouldn't trade this time for any other time in history. | |
| I can prove to you from statistics, it's the most crucial time in human history. | |
| I'm talking about for a whole world. | |
| And look who God's let live. | |
| I said to him, What are you thinking? | |
| And he said, Yes, I finally found me a people weak enough to work in, not weak in character, not weak in morals, not weak in ethics, weak in their own ability. | |
| He said, I have found me a generation that's embraced John 15:5. | |
| Without me, you can do nothing. | |
| But with him, in him, Philippians says, I can do all things through Christ who infuses me with inner strength. | |
| I am sufficient in Christ's sufficiencies. | |
