Christian Nationalism Controversy 00:02:24
Americans haven't really experienced the kind of persecution that the underground church in Iran and Afghanistan and China have.
Do you believe that level of persecution could come to America and what might it look like?
I think it's already beginning.
It's already here.
It comes in a very different form, obviously.
Sure.
Popular culture already, you know, if you say I'm a Christian, like they're like, oh, like if you say I'm a Christian patriot, they're like, oh, so you mean you're a Nazi?
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, totally.
That's exactly what I'm saying.
Oh, you believe in Christian nationalism?
Yes.
And look, it's very popular right now for Christian leaders, you know, very well-received Christian leaders to mock concepts such as Christian nationalism.
Now, Christian nationalism can definitely go way too far, and there's plenty of people, examples of that.
But the reality is right now, the primary conflict is between nationalism and globalism.
That's right.
The biggest problem is globalism.
And you have very few Christian leaders that are really hitting on the problem of globalism.
It's easy, low-hanging fruit, to attack Christian nationalism.
But nationalism is arguably a very biblical concept if it's done properly.
Look, in my own life, if I want to take care of my kids, my wife, I have to take care of myself first.
That's right.
A nation has to take care of itself before it can be a blessing to others.
Absolutely.
America first?
Yes.
That's a biblical principle.
Totally.
What's not biblical is America only.
That's right.
Okay, that's unbiblical.
That's demonic.
It is.
America first is biblical.
Yes.
So anyway, that's a little separate sermon.
I like that.
I can preach with you.
I like that.
Okay, go.
But the reality is, is when we are simply being salt and light, being positive influence, being Christians, following a biblical model, Jesus made it clear.
The world hated me.
They will hate you.
And it's becoming, it's so perverse.
It's so crazy.
You go, look, I believe that we should defend the innocent, the most innocent little lambs that this world has to offer and be pro-life.
People are like, you hate women.
You know what I mean?
It's just like you can't have a rational conversation of polarization.
And so once you label someone as a Nazi, anything's justifiable.
And that's where the hatred's coming in is it's through the political side of things.
But yes, that hatred of Christians, and then it becomes legal.
You've experienced it yourself.
