Settling in Judea Samaria
00:02:10
|
|
| The Bible tells us that whosoever blessed Israel will be blessed. | |
| We all know that, and whosoever curses Israel will be cursed. | |
| Just a few days ago, 10,000 Jews, many of whom were families, tried to establish settlements across Judea and Samaria. | |
| Why is Prime Minister Lapit of the government trying to have them removed? | |
| What's going on there? | |
| That's a great question. | |
| So in the modern state of Israel, you have a lot of these Orthodox settlers. | |
| So they're trying to establish these settlements in the West Bank or more properly, Judea and Samaria. | |
| Now, from a biblical perspective, the Lord said, this is your land. | |
| Israel, they have every God-given divine right to settle there. | |
| The problem, what this is in modern times, is a lot of politicians, they want to eventually get to the place of having a two-state solution where you would have Palestine and Israel. | |
| And the more that these settlers work their way in these small pockets up into the West Bank, the more that it becomes impossible in the future for them to ever reach this sort of two-state solution. | |
| So it's a very complicated biblical political situation. | |
| Now, again, the Lord said, this is your land. | |
| Now, he also said in Torah that you need to treat the people, the strangers, the aliens in the land properly with kindness. | |
| And that's incumbent on Israel to treat the Palestinians in a way that's loving. | |
| On the other hand, the leaders of the Palestinians are constantly fomenting hatred, racism, division, and murder. | |
| And a fairly significant percentage of the population embraces that and holds on to that victim mentality and that sort of thing. | |
| And just, I would say, just like a lot of the Democrat politicians today, they become essentially dividers, polarizers, race hustlers, and this type of thing. | |
|
Israel And The Abraham Accords

|
|
| And that just sows division and conflict. | |
| But behind it all is the covenant, the covenant that God made with Israel that says this belongs to you. | |
| And so, yes, they have every right to do it if they do it, again, in a loving, biblical way, but it definitely complicates things politically. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Let's talk about the Abraham Accords. | |
| Is Israel being blessed by this agreement? | |
| What's going on? | |
| I've heard about it. | |
| It almost kind of comes and goes in our news. | |
| But what's going on there? | |
| So there's some really important biblical principles in Torah that Christians need to grasp. | |
| When Israel is entering the land, as they're coming up out of Egypt during the Exodus, the Lord says, when you go into the land, don't enter into agreements, covenants, treaties, or marriages with the pagans that are in the land. | |
| If you do, it will be a snare to your feet. | |
| Okay, not a stumbling block. | |
| Stumbling block trips you up. | |
| A snare is to kill you. | |
| It says, if you marry them, they will lead you astray. | |
| You'll worship their gods, etc. | |
| So there's this clear prescription against covenants with the people in the land. | |
| On the other hand, Israel has every legal and moral right to enter into have good, healthy foreign diplomacy with their neighbors, to have good relations with their neighbors, just like any other nation in the world. | |
| So what happens is in the Bible prophecy community, you get a lot of people that say, Israel, they shouldn't enter into these agreements with these Muslim nations. | |
| No, Israel has every right to have good, warm, friendly relations and treaties and this sort of thing, so long as they don't violate the prescription against entering into treaties and covenants that gives away the land that violates the covenant, and so long as they don't put their trust in these agreements and these treaties and friendships, as long as their trust is in the Lord. | |
| So this is the issue as you see it in Isaiah. | |
| Isaiah is prophesying. | |
| He goes, if you enter into this, he refers to the last days covenant that Israel will ultimately make with the Antichrist. | |
| If you enter into this covenant, he calls it a covenant with death. | |
| He says, if you put your trust in these security alliances with the surrounding nations, then when the overwhelming flood, the scourge, enters your land, it will overwhelm you. | |
| It's envisioned like a tsunami, a flood with whips and scourges. | |
| And he says, your covenant will not stand. | |
| And so there's profound end-time application to these principles that sometimes I think, even in the prophecy community, they don't look at the nuance or the complexity of this. | |
| They say, well, Israel can't enter into these agreements. | |
| I go, no, they should. | |
| They can't put their trust in these things. | |
