Pray in Tongues Daily

| How often do you recommend people pray in tongues? | |
| Well, I did a 90-day prayer challenge, and we can talk about that later. | |
| But here's what I say, an hour a day. | |
| If you can pray an hour a day, in tongues, in tongues. | |
| Now, here's the thing. | |
| Many people say there's no way. | |
| I mean, Jesus said, can't you pray with me one hour? | |
| And he was talking about praying with our understanding. | |
| But to pray in tongues, here's the thing. | |
| Oral Roberts, he used to pray in tongues 15 minutes at a time. | |
| He said his mind was so active. | |
| He had so much going on. | |
| He had so much to do. | |
| He couldn't take a whole hour to pray. | |
| He would go 15 minutes at a time. | |
| So that'll do it. | |
| God's not legalistic like some of us are, right? | |
| You know, we say an hour, we think we got to do an hour. | |
| We can go 10 minutes at a time, 15 minutes a day. | |
| Does Oral Roberts believe that praying in tongues was part of his power he had with healing? | |
| He did, and so did Kenneth Hagin. | |
| Now, Kenneth Hagan, he would say, if he needed a little more anointing, he was going to a big meeting, he had a lot of healing. | |
| He said, if he was going to do a little bit more, he needed a little bit more anointing. | |
| He would start praying in tongues as fast and hard as he could before he went out. | |
| And he said the Holy Spirit would always show up in a massive, unprecedented way. | |
| Wow, this is powerful. | |
| I want you to get this book. | |
| I want you to have it. | |
| I have it. | |
| I want you to have it. | |
| I believe this book is going to change my life. | |
| I believe it. | |
| I'm going to start praying in tongues. | |
| I may even pray in tongues on TV and get it all go crazy. | |
| That's right. | |
| I'm criticized for everything. | |
| I might as well be criticized for speaking in tongues. | |
| Exactly. | |
| Because I am a tongue speaker. | |
| I have been for all my life. | |
| You know, I just know that. | |
| But I want everyone to have this book. | |
| Now, what I love about it. | |
| What I love about the book, Jennifer, is you make it very easy to read and to understand because there are 101, you call them benefits. | |
| So why 101 first? | |
| You know, I'm sure there's more than 101. | |
| Well, I'm sure there are. | |
| But I mean, I search the scripture. | |
| All of this is based on scripture. | |
| This is not based just on my experience. | |
| No, it's not. | |
| It's full of scripture. | |
| And there's probably more. | |
| Maybe 10 years from now I'll have 201 benefits. | |
| But I like it because you could read one a day like a devotional. | |
| Exactly. | |
| And there's a prayer. | |
| That's it right there. | |
| I mean, it's just like this one, chapter five, your brain on tongues. | |
| And we're going to talk about that in a minute. | |
| But it's just one. | |
| Here's, you know, you can see mine here. | |
| And then you turn the other hand and the prayer. | |
| And so I look at that as something I could just do daily and take that thought in for that day or apply that principle that day, that benefit. | |
| Exactly. | |
| And in three months or three months and 11 days, I'm telling you, your life will be radically transformed. | |
| You just take one of those a day. | |
| Even if you can't pray an hour a day, do 10 minutes. | |
| Give the Holy Spirit something. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Wow. | |
| I could pray all night in tongues if I didn't wake Lori. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Can you do it quietly? | |
| Pray quietly. | |
| When we pray silently, you know, maybe out of respect for the, like Lori sleeping or something. | |
| Are we missing what the Bible tells us about the power in our tongue? | |
| Well, that's a great question. | |
| So I believe we can talk to God internally, but if we're going to speak, pray in the spirit, pray in tongues, we need to do it verbally, you know, because we're giving voice to his utterance. | |
| And the power of death and life is in the tongue. | |
| And we live in a voice-activated kingdom. | |
| And we can't pray in tongues in our heads. | |
| Some people say, oh, I pray in tongues in my head. | |
| Well, but your tongue has to move. | |
| You have to give the Holy Spirit your tongue. | |
| Wow. | |
| Now, when you're home, maybe some people are there or something, but you're there in your own house. | |
| Do you pray loud in tongues sometimes? | |
| Yeah, I pray loud in tongues most of the time. | |
| I was just praying in the back room. | |
| There are times where I'll be like in the gym, though, and I'll get it. | |
| I'll be you know, just praying, you know, in the spirit, just praying in tongues. | |
| One time I did that, and apparently, I got carried away, I didn't realize it. | |
| I got caught up in the spirit, and I started praying in tongues really fast and really hard. | |
| And all of a sudden, I stopped, I looked around, and everybody in the whole gym was like, What is she doing? | |
| You know, I'll pray in tongues in the grocery store, you know, and I'm just doing it quietly. | |
| But here's the thing: I just put my earbuds in, I've got my phone, they just think I'm talking in Russian or talking, you know, some other language. | |
| That's how that's how I fit it in, you know. | |
| That's good, Jennifer. | |
