Something's Happening
00:10:46
|
|
| Something's happening in the church in America. | |
| Now, we've been through. | |
| See, Jesus told us in the last days, I'm going to pull the tares from the wheat. | |
| I'm going to pull the weeds out that looks just like it. | |
| And the disciples said, basically, I'm just paraphrasing all of it, but the disciples basically said, you know, should we do this? | |
| Should we go into the heart? | |
| And he said, no, no, no, no. | |
| The Lord of the harvest will do that. | |
| You won't be able to tell some of them apart. | |
| In other words, he's saying, no, I don't have the authority to judge who's saved and who's not in that way. | |
| But as a pastor of a church, I am the shepherd over the flock. | |
| I have to have discernment and be careful, of course, and we do that. | |
| But that judgmental spirit doesn't need to be there. | |
| But the point I'm making is we've been through, oh, even before COVID, there were all kinds of things going on, upheavals and elections, and the nation going like this for the last 10, 15 years. | |
| And then comes COVID, and then comes the mandated all around the world, shut the church down. | |
| We'll tell you if you can go back and if you can sing and how long you can stay and how many people. | |
| And these came from government edicts, which is a very prophetic thing. | |
| If I had time to preach that, I'd take you to the scriptures and show you. | |
| But all of that happened. | |
| And so, and I'm not judging pastors or churches. | |
| I didn't shut my church down, but we did it very judiciously and carefully, and we kept it open, and we've been blessed, and nobody has died in our church, and we've just gone on and done missions all over the world. | |
| But we praise Jesus for it all. | |
| But others did shut down, some had to shut down, I think. | |
| If I was in their position, I would have shut down too. | |
| So I'm not judgmental, but I am going to declare what happened and what is happening. | |
| What happened without any judgment on my part? | |
| I was blessed not to have to shut down or to shut down. | |
| But all over the world, most of the churches shut down. | |
| And for the first time in history since the birth of the church on Resurrection Sunday in 2020, there were no services anywhere in the world. | |
| Or very few. | |
| Very, very few. | |
| That's never happened before in history. | |
| Resurrection Sunday represents the death knell of Satan. | |
| That's right. | |
| It represents the fall of his kingdom. | |
| There's something very demonic and satanic about that whole scenario. | |
| And then now, on the fallout of that, we hear these polls where the pollsters, and I'm talking about George Barna and people like that, really good solid people, saying over 30% of those that left the church said they're never coming back. | |
| That's right. | |
| Well, and we're seeing that happen in a lot of churches. | |
| I mean, there were a lot of churches in our area that were big churches. | |
| They closed, they stayed closed, and they did everything the government said and spouted all the government mantra. | |
| And some of it was good, some of it was pure politically evil virtue signaling. | |
| But again, I'm not judging, but a lot of the churches got into that. | |
| And now they've opened their doors and said, y'all come, and 30% of them ain't come back. | |
| Well, our church, everybody's there, plus more, moving into the area. | |
| But the point is, and other churches like ours, we're not the only one, but I'm just saying I'm experiencing this, so I know. | |
| But so you've got that going on. | |
| Then you've got basically a great falling away. | |
| All of the polls are showing that you line up any 100 evangelical pastors, and 63 of them say they don't have a biblical worldview. | |
| That came from a Barna poll just about four weeks ago. | |
| Less than 6% of everybody in America that claims to be a Christian claim that they have a biblical worldview. | |
| And again, if it's a little convenient in a minute, I can explain exactly what a biblical worldview is. | |
| But that's a horrible thing. | |
| So here's what we're watching. | |
| On the one hand, we're watching that great falling away of the last days. | |
| Yes, it does. | |
| We're watching it happen. | |
| We're living in it, and we're looking at the tools, the triggers that started it. | |
| You know, I'm not saying the COVID virus is the evil of all evils, but it was a trigger. | |
| It was a trigger. | |
| And Satan used it. | |
| The governments used it. | |
| Then the political manipulation of it was used and is still being used. | |
| So you've got that. | |
| That was a trigger. | |
| Then, of course, you've got the trigger of social media and technology, and you've got all the false doctrines being proclaimed everywhere. | |
| And all the time, way up before COVID, you had people all over the internet saying preachers are evil, church is evil, the Bible's stupid, and just proliferating across the world. | |
| So all of that. | |
| So you've got the great falling away. | |
| But let me tell you what else is happening. | |
| At the same time, Jesus also said, well, the Bible says, in Jesus, the Spirit of God, he says, in the Old Testament and the New Testament, it says, but in the last days, God has promised he will pour out his spirit upon those that are his. | |
| And he says, and your young men will dream dreams, and your old men will have visions, and your sons and daughters will prophesy. | |
| Joel says that, and Peter preached that in the first sermon at Pentecost and quoted from that scripture. | |
| And so there's going to be, at the same time that there's a great falling away, we're noticing through the ministry of our church, and we connect to a lot of churches all over the Gulf Coast, and we help and we minister in their communities and in their churches with them. | |
| We partner with them. | |
| And we're noticing so many people who are kind of lukewarmish. | |
| They're coming back to the Lord and they're repenting. | |
| They're recommitting. | |
| A lot of people are getting saved that weren't saved before. | |
| We're watching that. | |
| We're watching our little church just by going through that time. | |
| See, again, please hear me. | |
| Please hear my heart, brother. | |
| I am not judging. | |
| I'm not comparing us to anybody. | |
| I'm telling you what we did and why and what happened. | |
| When everybody else, it seemed almost everybody, was shutting the doors and running around repeating whatever the government was saying. | |
| We said, look, we're going to take a sane approach to this. | |
| We're going to look at all the medical truth. | |
| We're going to take care. | |
| I mean, we canceled our food services for a while. | |
| We shut down our Sunday schools for a while. | |
| But we left the church open and we told people, we treat you like adults. | |
| You don't have to be here. | |
| We're going to live stream. | |
| You come if you want. | |
| But people came and they came. | |
| And we kept ministering. | |
| We kept going to help people that were in need. | |
| We went into communities that were being hit by tornadoes during all that time and hurricanes. | |
| We were right there when other churches were closed. | |
| And so what happened was we were living by faith. | |
| We had solemn assemblies. | |
| On Sunday mornings, I would take scripture and I would read like Psalm 91 over our congregation and we would pray over that and claim that. | |
| And our prayer was, Lord, we don't want any credit. | |
| I don't want any credit. | |
| And whenever Jim Baker or anybody gives me the opportunity to talk about it, I'm going to give all praise to Jesus. | |
| And so that's what we're doing. | |
| But what happened was, I told my people, I said, how can it be that last Sunday, all the churches of the world were singing something about, oh, how I trust Jesus. | |
| And then this Sunday, they've closed down and they're in hiding. | |
| And again, I'm not judging because some people had to, you know, just had to. | |
| But some didn't, and they did anyway because they thought it was the thing to do, to signal, okay? | |
| So I just kept telling our church, I said, do not judge anybody. | |
| Let's just deal with ourselves. | |
| Let's stay humble before the Lord, but keep this in mind. | |
| We are taking a walk of faith. | |
| Watch what God does. | |
| Let's watch what God does. | |
| He doesn't owe us anything because we're just doing what we're supposed to do. | |
| But the Lord kept that church protected and sweet and blessed and power-packed and filled with the Spirit. | |
| We kept ministering. | |
| Now that most places have opened back up, we're still going strong. | |
| People are moving in. | |
| They're joining the church, watching us on Jim Baker and places. | |
| And it's just, it's crazy. | |
| And from time to time, we'll sing some great worship song that speaks of how God is our rock and our fortress and he protects us in the time of trial. | |
| I'm just paraphrasing now. | |
| There's all kinds of praise songs that say that. | |
| That who is, you know, if God is for us, who can be against us, which is a scripture. | |
| It's also a lot of praise songs. | |
| And then I just say to the church, I'll interject and say, and we are living proof of this. | |
| And everybody just kind of melts. | |
| It's like, oh, my gosh, you're right. | |
| I mean, we stood in faith, and God blessed. | |
| Imagine that. | |
| And he's still blessing. | |
| And so because of these things, Pastor Jim and Sister Laurie and everybody here, I think that I'm seeing a great falling away, there's no doubt. | |
| But at the same time, there's a great end gathering, too. | |
| And it's not just people in America. | |
| I mean, Muslims are having Jesus dreams. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Okay. | |
| Orthodox Jews are having visions of it. | |
| And I know this. | |
| I know firsthand and secondhand through ministers that are over in that area of Muslims and Jews, Imams and rabbis who have come to Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ all during these last several years. | |
| They're having visions, they're having dreams. | |
| People are coming back. | |
| People watch things, churches like ours. | |
| There were many more. | |
| We're not the only ones, but like ours that just said, look, we're not going to be arrogant. | |
| We're not going to be ignorant, but we're going to walk in faith. | |
| What does the Word of God say over and over? | |
| And here comes a test. | |
| I think of the church at Philadelphia. | |
| He says, look, I know you're small. | |
| I know who you are. | |
| And I'm thinking, that's us. | |
| That's us. | |
| You know, we're not a megachurch. | |
| We're a good-sized church, but we're not a mega church. | |
| But it says, but here's what I'm saying. | |
| Because you have not denied my name, and we don't, but we praise and sing and preach Jesus. | |
| We are unashamed. | |
| We minister. | |
| And because you have basically says you've stood in my word, that is, you've stood against the heresies, the doctrines of demons. | |
| And then it says, I'm going to open doors that nobody else can shut. | |
| I'm going to shut doors that nobody else can open. | |
| God did that for us all during that time, before and after. | |
| And then he says, and I, y'all watch this. | |
| And I will keep you. | |
| I will preserve you in the midst of the trial for 10 days, which is symbolic for a short period of time, but yet not just a few seconds. | |
| It's days. | |
| You're talking the church of Philadelphia in Revelation. | |
| And it says, and I will keep you from the trial, the 10 days of trial that's coming upon the whole earth. | |
| Now, I know that contextually that refers to the very last days, et cetera. | |
|
Started Preaching

|
|
| But I'm saying, y'all are not going to believe this. | |
| If my church members can tell you, my wife, I wish she was here. | |
| She's been here before. | |
| But here's the thing. | |
| When we built that sanctuary we're in now, we built it about 20 years ago because church was growing and we needed it. | |
| On the Saturday night before the Sunday morning, I went in to preach. | |
| My church knows this now. | |
| I didn't tell anybody for a year or two. | |
| I went into that sanctuary by myself and I read the entire book of Revelation out loud as I walked around the inside of the church. | |
| Okay, now watch. | |
| Now I've preached through Revelation several times since then and people's lives have been touched and changed and they love it. | |
| But here's the deal. | |
| And I claimed the church of Philadelphia over that church. | |
| I said, Lord, this is 25 years ago. | |
| And then I said, then I started preaching it and I told our church those things. | |
| And there were several people in the congregation weeping. | |
| They had no idea that I had done that and that we had claimed that. | |
| Then I started preaching on the church of Philadelphia. | |
| And as a church, we started claiming it. | |
| This was probably 10 years ago. | |
| And about every two or three years, I would repreach that message because new people are always coming in and just reclaim it and reclaim it and reclaim it. | |
| And 2020 hit, which is just a foreshadowing of what's to come. | |
| But 2020 hit, and we had to live it, and we did. | |
