Winds and Waves Calling 00:04:23
James, has God talked to you about what's coming next?
What may be happening now?
I see where we are now and I liken it to Matthew 14 when Jesus had told his disciples go to the other side.
The disciples get in the boat and you all know this.
They go on out and the winds and the waves start blowing.
This is where we are now.
That's right.
We've heard what the master says, go to the other side, because we know there is another side to get to.
And here we are in the and it looks like the wind and waves.
Have you noticed how it looks like the winds and the waves are blowing hard against the church?
Oh, yes.
But I know this by the Spirit of God.
There is a remnant who will rise up and say, Lord, if that is you, bid me come on the water and I'll walk towards you.
Amen.
There is a remnant who will dare press in and say, Lord, make it clear.
But if that's you, give us the word.
Give us the word and on your word, we will get out of the boat, onto the water, and walk towards your perfect will.
Amen.
Wow, this is where the church is right now.
The Spirit of God is searching those who will dare say, Lord, if that's you, tell me and I'll do it.
Amen.
Lord, if that's you to tell me where to go, I'll go.
Where to give, I'll give.
When to pray, I'll pray.
Where to go?
Call someone, we'll do that.
If we were there, step out on the boat, and people put Peter down for, well, he's sunk.
But have you noticed that it was only him and Jesus walking on the water?
Yeah, he's the only one who got out.
It always makes me wonder, if he was the only one to get out, why didn't the other 11 say, look, if Peter can do that, we all ought to jump in.
Amen.
Amen.
This is a time for those of us, and I, and the Lord put this on my heart, I was thinking about the PPL network.
When the Lord put it on my heart this way, those that have got out of the boat, we need to keep our focus on the Lord and not on the wind and waves.
Amen.
Amen.
Because it was the wind and the getting his eyes on the wind and the waves that got him to start sinking.
You know.
And when you read Matthew 14, and just because of time, we won't get into that.
But when you read Matthew 14, it says that he began to sink.
Do you know that people don't begin to sing?
You either sink or you don't sink.
You try going out into any one of these rivers you have on out here and you try to begin to sink.
His faith was leaking.
Ooh.
As he had his eyes on the wind and the waves.
Which tells me that at any one point he could have shifted his attention back onto Jesus and stopped that leak.
And I'm telling you, church, it's time to stop the leak.
Amen.
It's time to stop.
We need to get our attention and our focus back on the one who called us to the other side.
Amen.
And can walk in the water and the waves.
Amen.
That's what the Holy Ghost will do for you.
That's what the Holy Ghost will do for you in the middle of a dark storm right where you're out there.
He can see you through.
Because his word is good.
His word is good.
His word is good.
Wow.
James, given the condition of our culture and of the world, how can believers walk in the Holy Spirit to cover and protect themselves in these last days?
Well, part of it we've already been talking about.
Part of it is recognizing that for all the darkness that there is, greater light is available.
And that's why Paul says, greater is he that's in us than he that's in the world.
So Paul was recognizing that there is something, someone somewhere in the world, but when we focus on the greater one on the inside of us, that's where the strength comes from.
You see, outside of the Spirit of God, you watch that video and it will probably scare you.
It will, a little bit.
There'll be some sort of a paradigm shift.
There'll be some sort of a paradigm shift.
But when you can see it through the lens of the master that's called us to the other side.
And this is a briefing update of what's happening in the here and now.
Because the man, did you know that Jesus knew that the storm was coming when he called them to the other side anyway?
Amen.
Sometimes, you know, we always think when storms come our way, well, we maybe we're not in the will of God.
Listen, sometimes storms come because you're in the will of God.
Not Sinkable If On Course 00:02:14
That's right.
Amen.
Amen to that.
And of course, your testimony of that.
Yes.
But when storms come because you're in the will of God, the will of God will see you through that storm.
Because no storm is big enough to get you out of the will of God.
No storm is big enough to sink you on your way to the will of God.
Amen.
Amen.
You're not sinkable.
Let's put it that way.
You're not, if that's even a word.
I don't know.
Mondo, help me.
You're not sinkable if you're on your way to the will of God.
Amen.
Amen.
I love it.
And this is where we are right now.
And I think we have two.
We have too many in the body of Christ who are in the boat and refuse to get out and do anything.
That's right.
Amen.
They're looking at the wind and the waves and they're like, well, and they've forgotten the one who's called them.
They've forgotten that he's walking on the water and so they can too.
They're afraid of the conflict.
They're afraid.
They're afraid of the control.
They're the conflict and the controversy.
Right.
And you know, in that same story, when Jesus does get them across to the other side, he encounters a legion of demons.
And that's probably what the storm was about.
That's probably what.
That was probably because the demons there were stirring the storm over here.
That's right.
And if we understand that, then all we need to do is get over to the other side.
That's right.
And those demons have to go.
That's right.
No stopping us.
Amen.
No stopping us.
Taking authority.
Take an authority.
Taking authority.
James, why do the words hurry and faith not go together?
Well, hurry and faith don't go together because faith is always in the now.
Faith is always in the now.
So I don't have to hurry when I'm in faith because when I'm in faith, I'm trusting God.
If I'm trusting God, He has me where I'm supposed to be, when I'm supposed to be.
So we could say it this way: in this account of the disciples in the boat, they were exactly where they were supposed to be in that storm.
Amen.
They were exactly where they were supposed to be in that storm.
I think Jesus just left out the storm part when he said, Get to the other side.
Does he do the same thing with us?
He doesn't tell us what we're going to encounter.
He just says, Pick up your cross.
This is your destination.
Follow me.
Here's where we're going.
Here's where we're going.
Never mind the details because I've already said here's where we're going.
And if you will obey me on that, everything else won't matter.
Amen.
Everything else won't matter.
