Go Into Your Future Supernatural 00:03:06
This past Sunday I had what I called a pastoral moment with my congregation.
So it's not the message, but I want to talk to you guys about something from my heart.
And I said, yes, we all know we're living in dangerous times.
And yes, there's lack all around us, recessions on the horizon.
But all throughout May, I was encouraging congregation, go after what God called you to do.
Go into your future supernatural.
We talked a lot about the call of God and hearing God's voice.
But I said, I told them, remember, this is with your purpose, there is provision and there is protection.
And so can you guys say it with me?
Say, with my purpose, there is provision.
There is provision.
And there is protection.
And there's protection.
And so no matter what happens, I was always encouraged to stay on the faith side, stay on the hope side, stay on the word side.
And remember, yes, you're going to have setbacks and some of this stuff coming down the pipe this summer, but it does not change the call.
The challenge in front of us, the situation in front of us, whatever happens in the world does not change what God has called us to do.
And so the thing is, one of the things we talk about in the book, and I'm talking with Mono in between, is that we have to outthink, we have to outpace, we have to outrun, we have to out-strategize.
And so even in 2020, we're looking at everything that has happened in the middle of 2020.
I talked to my wife and said, when the schools reopen, there's going to be different challenges because all the things, everything's shut down.
Parents are going to need help.
I said, my plate is full.
I don't even have time to even think about this and pray about it.
Can you pray about it?
And so she comes back two days later and says, I believe God wants us to open the school right now.
So we in one summer open a fully accredited school, K through 12, virtual that anybody in the country can attend.
And so at the school, of course, they have the core curriculum, but they also learn, we make a requirement for all elementary students to learn Mandarin and Spanish.
They also have to learn biblical Hebrew and Greek.
They learn entrepreneurship principles, business economic principles, because we believe we're training tomorrow's leaders.
And so we opened this school supernaturally quick that summer to train the next generation so that they know what to do, so that they can handle what's going on.
Yeah.
Damn, that's good news.
So with all of that, there's a lot of things going on.
And then there's a lot of challenges in front of us with the future that one of the things I try not to do, and I encourage my congregation to do so, is that we're not going to bow before anybody's rhetoric.
I don't bow before an elephant or a donkey.
I bow before the lamb.
And so with the challenges today, there is wisdom to handle it.
And instead of just going from one area, look, there's so many areas to explore.
And God has anointed us.
He's given us wisdom.
We can look at the full scope and handle it.
That's why believers have to lead because there's so many ways to do it.
One of the things we do in our congregation, we found a local organization that supports and helps their mission is equip mothers to choose life.
And so not only do they help them with the pregnancy, they help them afterwards.
So we found what, okay, how do we help them choose life and how do we support them afterwards?
One of the things I realized is like, you know what, I'm not anointed to build this house or to run it, but you know what?
I'm anointed to write a check.
And so that's what we began to do.
That's part of our mission of our church.
We found other organizations that were better at doing things than we do and said, hey, part of our mission, we're going to take part of the tithe that offering that comes in and we're reinvesting in our community to make this area look like what God wants it to do.
And so we're rethinking, re-strategizing.
Okay, Holy Spirit, how do we go forward?
What are the new things to go forward?
And that's how we handle it.
We're not going to get in a rhetoric war.
We're not going to get caught up in the Facebook comments.
We're going to do what God has called us to do and we're going to overcome every single challenge.
Wow.
