Words That Transform
00:04:39
|
|
| When your thoughts are right, the thoughts become the seed that are transformational. | |
| People say, what's the first thing I should change? | |
| And I always say, your thoughts. | |
| As a person thinks in their heart, so are they. | |
| And we're moving in a moment where we're getting beyond the fruits of sin to the roots of sin. | |
| Wow. | |
| When you move to the roots of sin, salvation begins to take place. | |
| And with it, the number one thing ongoing, everyone talks about me being positive. | |
| I'm glad nobody asked my wife that question. | |
| She sees the moments that I'm negative. | |
| She knows them. | |
| They know they're real. | |
| I used to be very gifted in sarcasm. | |
| Sarcasm used to be my love language. | |
| You know, if I was sarcastic with you, it meant I loved you. | |
| I trusted you. | |
| And then one day the Holy Spirit said, sarcasm is not my love language. | |
| Wow. | |
| Oh, no. | |
| You know, to be able to look at someone who's lost and see Jesus in them, to see a world around me, to look, it changed the way I look at politics, at everything. | |
| Can I see Jesus in someone that I totally disagree with and would like to see them voted out of office? | |
| That changes the way I have to think. | |
| I mean, it doesn't mean that we're not to be active and to do our best to get godly people in right places. | |
| But my thoughts, my attitudes, and then they become my words. | |
| And as I've said right here, sitting here before, words change the atmosphere. | |
| And words not only change the atmosphere, please hear me, they release the prophetic in your future. | |
| Yeah, yeah. | |
| Words are that that are extraordinary. | |
| I love words. | |
| Yes. | |
| Because words have the power. | |
| They may sound strange to you. | |
| Words are what make you like God. | |
| Words created all this. | |
| God spoke. | |
| And the Holy Spirit took it and changed it. | |
| Can you walk into a room that's so mixed up and messed up and with your words begin to change atmospheres? | |
| I do it more at airports. | |
| You know, I don't know how many miles I've flown. | |
| Close to 5 million with American and a couple of million with others. | |
| And with it at airports, there is so much tension and people standing up there and I used to be the worst. | |
| I mean, you're going, come on, folks, I got somewhere to go. | |
| You know, especially if you've got a thousand people waiting on you. | |
| I've had to literally walk on platforms and start preaching from the airport. | |
| I've been flying around cities while the church service was starting and talk about that whole thing and begin to use words to seeds that change. | |
| That's the power of what you're talking about here. | |
| The reason why nations are met. | |
| We're in words. | |
| Something about the Holy Spirit that you may find very interesting. | |
| Do you know what the first empowerment of every child is? | |
| Words. | |
| Words are the initial evidence of power in English, Russian, Chinese, and in the kingdom of God. | |
| You know what Chinese people teach their children? | |
| Words. | |
| And the moment that child starts speaking Chinese, we go, that's my baby. | |
| That's my child. | |
| You know why? | |
| It's the first initial sign of empowerment. | |
| Wow. | |
| Wow. | |
| And in the kingdom of God, wouldn't God give his children words? | |
| Yes. | |
| Not the words that your parents gave you, words that are of the Holy Spirit, words that change everything. | |
| And that's the whole thing. | |
| Hate speech has become the key phrase to throw at somebody you don't like what they're saying. | |
| I grew up in the 60s. | |
| I'm sorry. | |
| Forgive me for those of you who are not going to like what I say. | |
| If you think the words are bad now, you should have hung out with my generation. | |
| I'm serious as I can be. | |
| The protest, Vietnam, all the movement. | |
|
Words That Changed America
00:00:32
|
|
| I know you're going to dislike me and somebody disqualify me. | |
| I remember when I had hair here and here and thought I was cool. | |
| Bell bottoms. | |
| Oh. | |
| But you know what? | |
| Those words changed America. | |
| We didn't get afraid of the words. | |
| We learned how to use them supernaturally. | |
| And right now we're in one of those moments that the power, what they're trying to do is the Bible has the power to change the atmosphere. | |
| Amen. | |
