Prophets and Accountability 00:01:23
In the Prophet's Devotional, you state that the prophets are not above making mistakes.
I hate to have that said on our show, but we'll deal with it here.
How does correction, rebuke, and accountability help prophets grow individually and as a prophetic voice?
You know, I think true prophets don't make many misses, but any of us are capable because we are in flesh.
We are new creatures in Christ, but we still have emotions sometimes that are wounded.
You know, any of us can be deceived, unfortunately.
However, you know, when we have accountability around us, we have, you know, I've received words where they were heavy, weighty words.
And I knew that if I released it and I was wrong, I didn't think I was wrong, clearly didn't think I was wrong.
I knew if I released it and I was wrong, I was going to damage my credibility.
I may hurt people, scare people.
And so I've learned to lean on people like, you know, Cindy Jacobs or James Gall.
We have the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders where we meet every November and we submit these things for testing.
You know, the Bible says test the spirits to see if they are from God.
And I believe if we would be, you know, ones who judge our own words and process our own prophetic revelations before we release them, then we're really on safe ground.
But some words don't need to be released so quickly.
Some words need to be bathed in prayer before they're ever released.
