Jim Bakker Show - Prophets are Not Above Making Mistakes | Jennifer LeClaire on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2022-02-08 Duration: 01:24 === Prophets and Accountability (01:23) === [00:00:00] In the Prophet's Devotional, you state that the prophets are not above making mistakes. [00:00:06] I hate to have that said on our show, but we'll deal with it here. [00:00:11] How does correction, rebuke, and accountability help prophets grow individually and as a prophetic voice? [00:00:20] You know, I think true prophets don't make many misses, but any of us are capable because we are in flesh. [00:00:28] We are new creatures in Christ, but we still have emotions sometimes that are wounded. [00:00:32] You know, any of us can be deceived, unfortunately. [00:00:35] However, you know, when we have accountability around us, we have, you know, I've received words where they were heavy, weighty words. [00:00:42] And I knew that if I released it and I was wrong, I didn't think I was wrong, clearly didn't think I was wrong. [00:00:46] I knew if I released it and I was wrong, I was going to damage my credibility. [00:00:50] I may hurt people, scare people. [00:00:53] And so I've learned to lean on people like, you know, Cindy Jacobs or James Gall. [00:00:58] We have the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders where we meet every November and we submit these things for testing. [00:01:04] You know, the Bible says test the spirits to see if they are from God. [00:01:07] And I believe if we would be, you know, ones who judge our own words and process our own prophetic revelations before we release them, then we're really on safe ground. [00:01:18] But some words don't need to be released so quickly. [00:01:21] Some words need to be bathed in prayer before they're ever released.
