Prophets Call for Accountability 00:03:02
Something that I really underlined here was prophets will call for accountability in the pulpit.
And I think we have been so used to pandering.
You could almost, can I just be really straight talking?
You could almost play bingo with the prophets.
You know, don't.
But you could, you know, and a prophet knows how to play to a crowd.
Oh, you're going to advance.
Oh, you're going to break through.
Oh, you're going to be rich.
I see a car.
Here comes promotion.
Yay!
The crowd goes.
And the egos all feel massaged in the room.
And can I tell you, I have had to do this a couple of times.
It is the most shocking, shaking things of my ministry where I've had to publicly say to a man, God did not call you into ministry and he's about to remove your church from you.
And I am literally, you know, it was a horrific.
It was horrific.
And do you know what I said to God at that moment?
You better come up with something brilliant right on the eye.
Because his wife, I rarely tell this story.
His wife jumped up, punched the air and said, Yes, thank you, Jesus.
I knew it.
And she was my best friend in that.
Oh, I believe this.
But actually, the Lord then said this, find his son.
And I'm like, where's his son?
And he was playing the drum kit.
I didn't know.
And the Lord said this, that man, the son, stole his father's church keys, had a set cut so he could sneak into the church to intercede for it in a way his father was not.
And he said, because that man, that young man, his son, prayed through the night, I will give him the church that his father was never supposed to have.
Can I tell you, I thought they were going to stone me.
And I remember ringing my husband saying, God, may you never ask, you know, saying to David, may God never ask me to do that again.
But I actually feel like God is saying, we are going to do that over and over and over again.
And there are moments where I've sat in the front row and I have seen adultery in the leader.
And I have literally got my head between my knees and prayed, God, would you be merciful to that man?
And God is saying, Emma, I'm not going to let you or the prophets bury your head between your knees in the front row and pray for mercy.
I'm going to ask you to clean out my house.
And I think there is this phrase that we're hearing at the moment.
Do not sit at tables that Jesus would have turned over.
And do we like it?
No.
Do we want to hear it?
Love Of Kingdom First 00:00:43
No.
Can I actually say, do you and I want to be those prophets?
Actually, not really.
You know, let's be honest.
And I think God is purifying his prophets.
He exposed their fleshliness through the debacle with some of the political prophecies that went horribly wrong.
You know, he exposed their love of their nation that was first when they should have loved his kingdom first.
So they heard about their nation in the wrong way because they didn't love the kingdom of God first.
And God says, look, the prophets have been shaken and purified.
Why?
Because I actually now need to use them to clean up my house.
So I think that's what came out.
Was that that was a long way to answer your question?
Wow.
