Jim Bakker Show - A Call for Accountability in the Pulpit | Emma Stark on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2022-01-31 Duration: 03:31 === Prophets Call for Accountability (03:02) === [00:00:00] Something that I really underlined here was prophets will call for accountability in the pulpit. [00:00:07] And I think we have been so used to pandering. [00:00:11] You could almost, can I just be really straight talking? [00:00:15] You could almost play bingo with the prophets. [00:00:18] You know, don't. [00:00:19] But you could, you know, and a prophet knows how to play to a crowd. [00:00:23] Oh, you're going to advance. [00:00:25] Oh, you're going to break through. [00:00:26] Oh, you're going to be rich. [00:00:27] I see a car. [00:00:28] Here comes promotion. [00:00:30] Yay! [00:00:30] The crowd goes. [00:00:32] And the egos all feel massaged in the room. [00:00:36] And can I tell you, I have had to do this a couple of times. [00:00:39] It is the most shocking, shaking things of my ministry where I've had to publicly say to a man, God did not call you into ministry and he's about to remove your church from you. [00:00:54] And I am literally, you know, it was a horrific. [00:00:57] It was horrific. [00:00:58] And do you know what I said to God at that moment? [00:01:01] You better come up with something brilliant right on the eye. [00:01:04] Because his wife, I rarely tell this story. [00:01:08] His wife jumped up, punched the air and said, Yes, thank you, Jesus. [00:01:12] I knew it. [00:01:13] And she was my best friend in that. [00:01:15] Oh, I believe this. [00:01:18] But actually, the Lord then said this, find his son. [00:01:22] And I'm like, where's his son? [00:01:23] And he was playing the drum kit. [00:01:25] I didn't know. [00:01:26] And the Lord said this, that man, the son, stole his father's church keys, had a set cut so he could sneak into the church to intercede for it in a way his father was not. [00:01:41] And he said, because that man, that young man, his son, prayed through the night, I will give him the church that his father was never supposed to have. [00:01:50] Can I tell you, I thought they were going to stone me. [00:01:55] And I remember ringing my husband saying, God, may you never ask, you know, saying to David, may God never ask me to do that again. [00:02:03] But I actually feel like God is saying, we are going to do that over and over and over again. [00:02:10] And there are moments where I've sat in the front row and I have seen adultery in the leader. [00:02:16] And I have literally got my head between my knees and prayed, God, would you be merciful to that man? [00:02:22] And God is saying, Emma, I'm not going to let you or the prophets bury your head between your knees in the front row and pray for mercy. [00:02:29] I'm going to ask you to clean out my house. [00:02:32] And I think there is this phrase that we're hearing at the moment. [00:02:36] Do not sit at tables that Jesus would have turned over. [00:02:41] And do we like it? [00:02:44] No. [00:02:45] Do we want to hear it? === Love Of Kingdom First (00:43) === [00:02:47] No. [00:02:47] Can I actually say, do you and I want to be those prophets? [00:02:50] Actually, not really. [00:02:52] You know, let's be honest. [00:02:53] And I think God is purifying his prophets. [00:02:56] He exposed their fleshliness through the debacle with some of the political prophecies that went horribly wrong. [00:03:03] You know, he exposed their love of their nation that was first when they should have loved his kingdom first. [00:03:12] So they heard about their nation in the wrong way because they didn't love the kingdom of God first. [00:03:18] And God says, look, the prophets have been shaken and purified. [00:03:22] Why? [00:03:23] Because I actually now need to use them to clean up my house. [00:03:27] So I think that's what came out. [00:03:28] Was that that was a long way to answer your question? [00:03:31] Wow.
