Granddaddy's Salvation

|
|
| You know, you've been a champion for babies' rights. | |
| You take all the impossibles. | |
| Your vision should change. | |
| I take mission and possibly your ministry. | |
| Yeah, Mr. Phelps, if you should take it. | |
| Or Dr. Baker, your mission is, if you choose to take it. | |
| If you choose to take it. | |
| That's right. | |
| I've been choosing to take them for a while. | |
| You sure have. | |
| Yeah. | |
| So how long have you been a rights of champion rights for babies? | |
| 1983 when I became a born-again Christian. | |
| Now, my granddaddy saved me from abortion in 1950. | |
| Okay, wait, let's stop right there. | |
| I don't think, did you hear? | |
| Her granddaddy. | |
| Martin Luther King Sr. | |
| Martin Luther King Sr. saved you. | |
| Told my mother not to abort me. | |
| Aborted. | |
| Yeah, because she was going to abort me. | |
| Thank you. | |
| And she didn't, because she wanted to finish college. | |
| That's one of the reasons that people choose. | |
| We've had a come to Jesus moment over and over. | |
| She has recorded the story about how glad she is that she listened to him. | |
| And he was speaking from God. | |
| And in his church, he found out somebody's going to have a baby. | |
| You're having that baby. | |
| We'll help you raise that baby. | |
| And he did it his whole ministry. | |
| But I became a feminist and all that in the 60s and the 70s. | |
| I had two secret abortions, unfortunately. | |
| Right. | |
| And a miscarriage because of a botched abortion. | |
| That's right. | |
| But in 1983, I became born again. | |
| I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. | |
| Amen. | |
| Praise God. | |
| I repented of my sins. | |
| And then for a long time, I didn't think God could forgive me. | |
| That was a terrible thing I'd done. | |
| But God did forgive me. | |
| Jesus forgave me. | |
| You know, the hardest thing to do, the hardest thing. | |
| But the first thing is to ask for forgiveness. | |
| Your pride. | |
| People have got to hear this. | |
| That's not cancel culture. | |
| God restores. | |
| God does restore. | |
| But we have to repent. | |
| We repent. | |
| He forgives us. | |
| Amen. | |
| Then Mark 11, it says, but would you pray, forgive so that he can forgive you. | |
| Forgiving others. | |
| And let me just tell people out here, if you have somebody you can't forgive, ask Holy Spirit to help you. | |
| Amen. | |
| Holy Spirit will help you to forgive. | |
| Then the hardest thing is to forgive yourself. | |
| That's it. | |
| It's harder to forgive yourself than either of the other two. | |
| I finally forgave myself. | |
| Yes. | |
