| Every one of you watching today, when you give to this ministry, when you're part of the miracle of morningside, and this ministry, I'm on the board here, and this ministry has gone through a tremendous battle. | |
| I mean, you could write this stuff out if you were to make a novel up, you couldn't make it the story that Jim's had to fight this last year or so. | |
| And every one of you have the power of life and death in your tongue and in your hand. | |
| And what's kept us alive during the season is people that didn't use credit cards and still wrote checks and still sent cash in an envelope to say, listen, we love this ministry enough and we support this ministry. | |
| And that restraint, that damn has been broken over this ministry. | |
| And we can now move and live and expand again because the devil has desire to have. | |
| Remember when Peter fell? | |
| Jesus sent for Peter. | |
| He asked for Peter by name. | |
| And then he said to Peter, a tremendous, he said, Satan has desire to have you and sift you like wheat. | |
| You don't sift wheat. | |
| You sift flour. | |
| The devil always misses his target. | |
| He always misses. | |
| He always misinterprets, misnames, misspeaks. | |
| And every time the devil raises his head up, he oversteps his mark. | |
| Satan has desire to have you, Jim Baker, and sift you as wheat. | |
| But I have prayed for you. | |
| I'd rather have Jesus praying for me than the devil on my side any day of the week. | |
| Because if God before us, who can be against us? | |
| And I want you to think about Shah today and the amazing legacy that we're all rejoicing in. | |
| And I'll bet you in this room and in this family, there are a million stories, behind-the-scenes stuff, little gifts that you gave to the grandkids, little tidbits of information and wisdom that you'd invested in lives. | |
| She did in my life. | |
| And I want to ask you today, what is your legacy? | |
| What do you want to leave behind? | |
| I've always said this with my kids. | |
| I want to weep. | |
| I want my kids to weep over me like I have wept over my dad. | |
| He's been gone 20 years now. | |
| Oh my. | |
| And there's never a day in my life, never a day in my life, that my heart doesn't ache for him. | |
| I don't ask him advice, and he never talks to me. | |
| Only Jesus talks to me. | |
| But I want my kids to miss me like I miss him. | |
| And I want the kingdom of God on earth to miss me, my impact, my voice. | |
| I wish we could bring him on the program again. | |
| I just miss him so much. | |
| He was so great. | |
| He was an amazing man. | |
| So great. | |
| Great preacher. | |
| A great preacher. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And you inherited his anointing. | |
| I don't know, Jim. | |
| Simon Peter was unique in the world. | |
| Oh, my. | |
| And we had the privilege on the 700 Club when I was starting the 700 Club that your family came in there. | |
| That is crazy. | |
| And they started preaching. | |
| Souls would be saved. | |
| Remember, we'd go all night long. | |
| One night we went till 5 o'clock in the morning and 300 people. | |
| This was a tiny wee station, like a corner of a town, not a nationwide thing. | |
| And through the night, Jim Baker, and this is the difference and what's unique with Jim Baker. | |

| Jim Baker recognizes the moving of the Holy Ghost. | |
| Jim Baker recognizes when God's in something, don't stop it. | |
| Never stop with God is blessing to do what you have planned. | |
| And when we showed up with our tambourines and accordion, and we had 15 minutes at the end of this telephone night to sing, no one knew who we were. | |
| No one, other big groups were there, and we were terrified, listening to harmonies, and we didn't know anything about harmonies and stuff. | |
| We just had songs God had given us. | |
| And for 15 minutes, we were going to close up this program. | |
| Everyone else had most of it gone to bed, I guess. | |
| And the Holy Ghost began to move. | |
| You shook the city. | |
| And he just said, don't stop. | |
| Keep going. | |
| Amen. | |
| And we were on air till 5 o'clock in the morning. | |
