Fear Of Missing Opportunities

|
|
| What are some of the excuses that we have for not walking out the call of God on our lives? | |
| Fear. | |
| We talked about fear on one of the previous programs. | |
| We did. | |
| You know, fear of praying for somebody and they're not getting healed. | |
| Fear of not being good enough. | |
| Fear of not saying the right words. | |
| Fear of, you know, what ifs, like too old, too young, you know, that type of thing. | |
| And all those fears, they'll talk you out of it. | |
| And the thing is, with this book, Just Don't Quit, it just really encourages you and it gets rid of the excuses because 47 is too old to have a baby. | |
| You know, now she's in her 60s and he's like 15. | |
| Okay? | |
| Yeah. | |
| You know, it's like teenagers again, you know, 60 years old. | |
| But they're doing phenomenal, which is really great. | |
| And, you know, and all the different things like that that people could have quit. | |
| And one of the stories that you had mentioned in the notes that you sent me is about a man. | |
| We'll leave him anonymous at this point, but we know who he is. | |
| But I'll tell you who he is at the end. | |
| But a man at 65 years old retired, and there wasn't enough money to even keep his family going. | |
| He figured his family would do better without him. | |
| And so he went, he tried, he tried to be an attorney. | |
| He tried to do this. | |
| He had failed and all that kind of stuff. | |
| And every area of his life, he failed. | |
| And so he went up to the hill and he wrote down he was going to write down his last wishes as he was getting ready to commit suicide at 65. | |
| And instead of on that list of things of telling everybody goodbye or whatever, he wrote down the things that he wished he could have done. | |
| And then he got to the bottom and he says, I can cook. | |
| I can cook. | |
| And so he went back, didn't commit suicide, praise God, went back and started cooking and selling his food door to door. | |
| Long story short, Colonel Sanders died a multi-multi-billionaire. | |
| That's right. | |
| Because Kentucky writes, that's right. | |
| I had Colonel Sanders on my show, by the way. | |
| I love him. | |
| And, you know, he went to church in Louisville, Kentucky, helped funded many, many buildings down there. | |
| I knew his pastor. | |
| He'd love to give. | |
| He loved Jesus with all of his heart. | |
| And we're going to spend eternity with him, too. | |
| He's an amazing man. | |
