Famine Caused by Politics
00:02:31
|
|
| Why do you fear the third horseman of the apocalypse is caused by politics, not famine caused by lack of food? | |
| Yes, so Revelation chapter 6, verse 5 and 6, these are part of your notes. | |
| It says this. | |
| When he opened the third seal, this is the third horseman, I heard the third living creature say, come and see. | |
| So I looked, and behold, a black horse. | |
| As you know, if you watch this program, black is associated with famine. | |
| We can learn that from other passages such as Lamentations 4, Jeremiah 14, and many other passages. | |
| And he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand, and I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying this, a quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius. | |
| And do not harm the oil and the wine. | |
| Okay, so a quart of wheat for a denarius. | |
| Interesting language for today. | |
| This is in layman's terms, NLT. | |
| A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day's pay. | |
| That is from the NLT. | |
| A loaf of wheat bread will cost a day's page. | |
| The black horse is clearly famine. | |
| Not going to teach this whole thing, holding scales in his hand. | |
| And I believe, I'm going through this quickly, but I believe this means that prices are inflated. | |
| Because the book of Revelation events are not for here we're in Missouri, right? | |
| It's not just for Missouri or Illinois or Arizona or California. | |
| Right? | |
| Right. | |
| Or for one singular country. | |
| It's for the entire world. | |
| So think about this. | |
| The Bible is saying in these times, the entire world can get bread. | |
| It's there. | |
| It'll just cost a day's pay. | |
| So the food is there, but the Bible is saying you need to be prepared because you won't be able to afford it. | |
| This is not speaking, this is speaking to famine, but it's not speaking to famine in the sense of lack. | |
| It's a famine caused by politics. | |
| And it is a famine caused by hyperinflation. | |
| And I'm telling you right now, how would the man or woman in 1915 prepare if I was to somehow mysteriously hand them this article in 1915 telling them what the world was going to be like in less than 10 years? | |
