Why God Created Time 00:01:47
So, what is time and why did God create it?
That's a really strange question, probably.
But what is time and why did God create it for us?
Well, time is definitely created by God.
And a lot of times, Pastor Jim, we think of God as Father time.
We tend to think that, you know, God and time are the same thing.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
He created time.
And time was created for a very specific purpose.
Now, whenever God Almighty created the material universe, he had to have space to put it in.
And whenever he created space, he had to create time because it takes time to go from one end of this table to the other end of that table.
And so, what that means is time, space, and matter are in perfect continuum, and you cannot separate them.
Just like the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, or the outer court, the inner court, the most holy place, or past, present, or future, or electrons, neutrons, protons, all those kinds of things.
These things are inseparable.
And God created them specifically, specifically for the purposes of redemption.
So, the reason why, Pastor Jim, that God created time is because He created time for the place for Adam to fall into the moment He sinned.
Like, what are you talking about?
Well, He said, In the day that you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you shall surely die.
And you're like, Well, did He die that day?
Well, He actually died 930 years later, but a day is to the Lord as a thousand years.
So, the clock began ticking for him.
Well, why would the Lord have him to, as soon as you sin, you're going to enter into death, and as soon as you enter into death, you're going to enter into time?
Because time is the only place that you can bring total transformation and you can say, That was then, this is now, and this is the new future and the new hope that the Lord has given for me.
