Church Failed Trump

| We are in Haggai right now. | |
| Haggai is just two chapters, but it's the prophet of shaking. | |
| Because here's where I drifted off a moment ago because I didn't want to say what I'm about to say, but I'm going to say it anyway. | |
| I believe the church failed, Donald Trump. | |
| I think that for four years, instead of aligning and seeing that we had a Cyrus in office and that this was the time for us to advance in unity, I think we retreated into our own worlds, back into the old habit of just our own ministries. | |
| And the reason I say that is because the book of Haggai is the story of when Cyrus comes to power. | |
| He makes a decree. | |
| He says, I'm here. | |
| And he reads the Isaiah prophecy, Isaiah 45, and he sees where it's written 120 years before he was born, thus says the Lord to Cyrus, who is my shepherd. | |
| And he realizes that he was written in those Hebrew texts, that he believes those Hebrews are onto something. | |
| He sees Daniel in this administration and sees these Hebrews aren't troublemakers. | |
| They're actually brilliant and submissive and they're cooperative. | |
| So he authorizes Zerubbabel and the high priest, Joshua, to go back and restore their temple in Jerusalem. | |
| He sees where he is written in scripture and he says, go, restore your house and pray for me and my sons. | |
| I want the blessing of that God that is the Jewish God. | |
| I want that blessing on my administration. | |
| And he forms an alliance with these Jewish people, which they were the most despised people, but he picked them. | |
| Same way as Trump took people that are the most despised, the evangelicals, and instead of kicking them to the curb like every other president does, he brings them right to the center of where his policy is and brings them into his inner circle. | |
| And the church did not respond. | |
| We even have nutty Christians who today are saying that people that love this president were actually out of balance and deranged. | |
| And they're all happy to move on. | |
| And to me, they're prophetically illiterate and have no discerning. | |
| And they're frequently leaders too, which really scares me. | |
| So remember, who's on the Lord's side? | |
| I want to be on the side of what God's doing. | |
| And so I'm seeing that there's this wrestling match going on. | |
| But here's what I want to tell you. | |
| Haggai comes along and God punches the clock and he says to Zerubbabel and to those that are in Jerusalem, the prophet comes and says, what are you doing? | |
| Why aren't you doing the building project? | |
| You've got a leader here that has given you authority to build and you started and you stopped and you got involved with your own little projects. | |
| You got involved with your own world, your own ministry, your own business, your own vision. | |

Shaking Principalities, Shaking Economy

| These aren't normal times. | |
| You should be rushing to build that house. | |
| And so the prophet says, that is why a plague has come upon your economic gains. | |
| And I put all your money into a bag with a hole in it. | |
| Now, this is exactly what happened with COVID. | |
| We had $5 trillion surplus in the market. | |
| It got sucked out within a matter of 30 days. | |
| We've now gone from $22 trillion in debt to $30 trillion. | |
| And they spend money now washed in like drunken sailors. | |
| $30 trillion in debt. | |
| And so that's what Haggai said. | |
| God sent a judgment upon the nation economically. | |
| And it was because his people were not building what he wanted during a period of divine intervention with a ruler he gave them to build the house of God. | |
| So he says, you're called to build the house. | |
| So I'm looking at that. | |
| I'm thinking, even churches were shut down by COVID. | |
| I used to think the house of God was just a local church, but then I realized, and I was literally wrapped up in this for two months wrestling during the shutdown, writing the book. | |
| And the Lord said the house wasn't an ordinary house. | |
| It was a house for the nation. | |
| It was the temple where the presence of God would be. | |
| And then I realized that the promise in Haggai is: I'm going to shake, the Lord says, heaven and earth. | |
| I'm shaking principalities, powers, and rulers. | |
| And I'm going to shake in verse 7 every nation. | |
| And out of this shaking, I'm even going to shake my people. | |
| But those who are seeking me and those that are in the awakening that I'm sending, I am going to build them into a glorious house and I am going to provide for them. | |
| The house described in Haggai is a house for the entire nation. | |
