Principalities and Powers Contend

| Okay, thank you, Jim. | |
| And as I was praying about this, I really felt like the Lord was reminding me, look, this past year, look at how traumatic it was, a series and succession of shakings, or you could say a sequence of judgments could be seen. | |
| And Jim and I talked about this in earlier broadcasts. | |
| It could also be seen that this is a period when the principalities and powers. are contending for the destiny of nations, as I said a moment ago. | |
| Now, while we had the Trump era, which is the reason why I'm calling so much of this the Cyrus Code, you have a period of time when God gives you a secular ruler. | |
| And this is so critical for us to understand, because the church frequently lives in a separate bubble. | |
| And as long as you've got good government, you can exist in your separate little world over here. | |
| And, you know, you pray about world events, but you're protected. | |
| But what happens when governments go bad? | |
| What happens when governments get taken over by the devil? | |
| Well, first the devil's going to do is he's going to go after the church. | |
| So we pray for rulers and those that are in authority, Paul said, that we might lead a godly and peaceful life. | |
| Notice two groups, rulers and those that are in authority. | |
| It's not just those that are in political office, but those that are in authority could be the people controlling the courts. | |
| It could be people controlling the police. | |
| It could be people controlling the media. | |
| It could be people controlling the communications industry. | |
| They're in the authority. | |
| Authority has to do with the power to shape a domain. | |
| So you find out there are seven domains, actually. | |
| There is the church of the living God, which has power to shape all domains. | |
| There is the family that has sovereign power to shape everything under the house. | |
| Then there is education, has the power to shape the future minds of the generations. | |
| Then there's government, which is the power to legislate and to administrate the laws. | |
| Then there's the power of media, which is the power to define reality or distort reality. | |
| And then there's the power of entertainment, which is the power to engage vision and recreation while programming and renewing the mind for better or for worse through entertainment. | |
| And then there's the power of finance that funds all seven domains through business, banking, and commerce. | |
| Those seven mountains, those seven verticals, I started talking about when really nobody wanted to talk about them. | |
| But the Lord kind of impressed me. | |
| That's where the end game's going. | |
| It's going to go to the seven mountains. | |
| Because on top of those mountains are the gates of influence. | |
| Those gates will be occupied by the righteous or by the wicked. | |
| When the righteous are sitting at the gates at the top of those summits, there is peace. | |
| When the wicked are sitting at the gates, there is an open door for hell. | |
| You could say that the gates of influence at the top of government, the gates of influence at the top of media, the gates of influence at the top of finance are the most contested gates in the world. | |
| And Satan's desire is to put his elders at those gates. | |
| In the Bible, the gates were the place where decisions were made of the city, where edicts were made at the city. | |
| Rulers would meet at the city's gates. | |
| So we have these gates. | |
| By the way, when we pray that when Jesus gave the promise that he was building a church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it, how do we fight those invisible gates? | |
| You ever think about that? | |
| Those invisible gates have to materialize on earth. | |
| And the moment that those invisible gates materialize on earth, you find that what is the most important thing that hell looks for is agreement. | |
| The most important thing heaven looks for is agreement. | |
| Because human beings have been given dominion over earth. | |
| And if hell or heaven can get people in agreement, whoever is in agreement gets to legislate the reality of that spirit realm into the natural realm. | |
| So if you get someone like Hitler or Stalin or Mao and they come to power with a political party, you have human beings that have the power at the gates of influence to be in communication or in agreement with the gates of hell. | |
| Now, when you've got the gates of hell and the gates of these seven mountains lined up, you'll have, instead of having truth proclaimed on media, right now you see Jim Baker is occupying a gate of influence. | |
| And he has done this his whole life through media. | |
| I could say it's media and entertainment because Jim will not only give the news, he's going to also give you a perspective of what's happening in an entertaining way. | |
| So that there's always a sense of celebration and spontaneity and fun. | |
| So he's been using that position of occupying that gate. | |
| But how many of you know that I would say news distortion is one of the big problems we've got right now. | |
| What's happening is those gates can be occupied by sinister forces. | |
| And if they're aligned with the gates of hell, that alignment creates a multiplying power that starts to cast a shadow over the land. | |
| And so the Bible prophesies that in the last days, darkness will come, gross darkness will cover the people, but upon you, my light will come. | |
| And so you see this contrast. | |
| You see intensifying darkness, which means what? | |
| Well, I would say those gates start to be occupied by less and less righteous people and more and more by people that are aligned with the gates of hell. | |
| And when hell and earth are aligned, catch this. | |
| Francis Frangipain years ago gave a great definition of spiritual warfare. | |
| He said that spiritual warfare is fought over whose version of reality is going to manifest on the earth. | |
| So whose version of reality is going to prevail on the earth? | |
| Is it going to be the version of heaven or is it going to be the version of hell? | |
| And which side is going to prevail? | |
| That becomes the battle. | |
| Your task as a church is to pray, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. | |
