Why Dominion Matters 00:02:18
Well, I believe when you when you talk about dominion, you know, there are some people they they criticize certain camps theologically for talking about what they call dominion theology.
And I understand that there's something very specific that they mean by that.
But the reality is that this entire book is a book about the church taking dominion.
And I'll give you proof of that.
Well, the first proof you need, just read the Bible.
The very first book in the Bible, God makes man and says, take dominion over the earth.
So that should be enough evidence for you.
But I was talking to one guy recently about the return of the Lord.
And I said, why do you think it is that Jesus hasn't returned yet?
He died on the cross 2,000 years ago.
And listen to what this guy said to me.
He said, he hasn't returned because he's busy building our mansions in heaven.
Now, I know why he thinks that, because Jesus said, I go to my father's house and all these things.
But listen, God created the entire world in six days.
He created it with the words of his mouth.
Do you really think it takes him 2,000 years to build a house, to build a mansion?
And besides that, he is eternal.
And he knew the end from the beginning.
Why didn't he think ahead and have these mansions prepared by now?
There's obviously something else going on here.
There is a reason that you and I and the body of Christ, there's a reason that we're in the world.
And Jesus told us what it is.
He said, you are here as salt and you are here as light.
We are here to represent the kingdom of God.
We are the conduits through which the power of God and the kingdom of God flows into the world.
If we don't influence the world for the glory of God, no one else will.
God doesn't just appear and do all of these things himself.
He works through his people.
In fact, even when Jesus came in the flesh, God himself, he wrapped himself, the Bible says, in the form, in the guise of humanity.
He came as a man.
He didn't just appear as some celestial being from realms of glory.
He came as a man in flesh and blood because the purpose and the assignment of influencing this world has been given to humanity.
We have a role to play.
And even when it comes to the, you know, the current political climate, all of these other things, we cannot be sitting silently on the sidelines.
