Jim Bakker Show - Christians and Dominion - Daniel Kolenda Aired: 2020-10-05 Duration: 02:24 === Why Dominion Matters (02:18) === [00:00:06] Well, I believe when you when you talk about dominion, you know, there are some people they they criticize certain camps theologically for talking about what they call dominion theology. [00:00:17] And I understand that there's something very specific that they mean by that. [00:00:20] But the reality is that this entire book is a book about the church taking dominion. [00:00:27] And I'll give you proof of that. [00:00:29] Well, the first proof you need, just read the Bible. [00:00:31] The very first book in the Bible, God makes man and says, take dominion over the earth. [00:00:37] So that should be enough evidence for you. [00:00:39] But I was talking to one guy recently about the return of the Lord. [00:00:43] And I said, why do you think it is that Jesus hasn't returned yet? [00:00:47] He died on the cross 2,000 years ago. [00:00:49] And listen to what this guy said to me. [00:00:51] He said, he hasn't returned because he's busy building our mansions in heaven. [00:00:57] Now, I know why he thinks that, because Jesus said, I go to my father's house and all these things. [00:01:00] But listen, God created the entire world in six days. [00:01:06] He created it with the words of his mouth. [00:01:08] Do you really think it takes him 2,000 years to build a house, to build a mansion? [00:01:12] And besides that, he is eternal. [00:01:14] And he knew the end from the beginning. [00:01:16] Why didn't he think ahead and have these mansions prepared by now? [00:01:19] There's obviously something else going on here. [00:01:22] There is a reason that you and I and the body of Christ, there's a reason that we're in the world. [00:01:27] And Jesus told us what it is. [00:01:29] He said, you are here as salt and you are here as light. [00:01:33] We are here to represent the kingdom of God. [00:01:36] We are the conduits through which the power of God and the kingdom of God flows into the world. [00:01:42] If we don't influence the world for the glory of God, no one else will. [00:01:46] God doesn't just appear and do all of these things himself. [00:01:49] He works through his people. [00:01:51] In fact, even when Jesus came in the flesh, God himself, he wrapped himself, the Bible says, in the form, in the guise of humanity. [00:02:01] He came as a man. [00:02:02] He didn't just appear as some celestial being from realms of glory. [00:02:06] He came as a man in flesh and blood because the purpose and the assignment of influencing this world has been given to humanity. [00:02:15] We have a role to play. [00:02:17] And even when it comes to the, you know, the current political climate, all of these other things, we cannot be sitting silently on the sidelines.
