Dreams As Divine Revelation
00:03:43
|
|
| So therefore, why are dreams so important? | |
| You know, dreams are part of God's language to us. | |
| So when Jesus was teaching in the Gospels using parables, what we need to realize that parables, enigmas, and riddles are the language of the kingdom. | |
| What that means is that just as the children of Israel were to go into the promised land, we go into the land of God's promise says. | |
| And just as the children of Israel needed manna, which God gave them each morning, so each morning we wake and God would download to us as we spend time with him or through our dream time revelation to us. | |
| And it's as we meditate on that that we get the understanding of what God's saying to us. | |
| And that gives us the life to move into the land of his promises. | |
| Right. | |
| And so revelation is key. | |
| Every one of us, the Bible says it's the Father's goodwill to give us the kingdom. | |
| What that means is if revelation are the keys of the kingdom and that's what we teach and believe, then dreams are part of that revelation or part of that source of God's revelation to us. | |
| We know it's the Father's goodwill to give us the kingdom. | |
| Therefore, every one of us is more prophetic than we realize. | |
| We are all different, though, in the way that we express that prophetic gift. | |
| And dreams are part and parcel of God's language to us. | |
| And the reason why God speaks to us, which seems to be abstract in a dream, in a parable, is because he wants us to search out the mystery. | |
| He deliberately does that. | |
| So it says in Proverbs 25, it's the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search it out. | |
| So God wants us to search out the mystery by being intimate with him. | |
| I've said this before. | |
| It's interesting when you read in the book of Numbers 12, it says that Moses was faithful in his house. | |
| It says a prophet in those days, he speaks to him in dark sayings, in parables and riddles. | |
| And see, God doesn't want us to be in the dark, left in the dark and not knowing what it means, but he wants us to be intimate. | |
| Moses was a friend of God and he was intimate with God. | |
| The Hebrews back then had this mentality of slavery. | |
| They come out of that and they didn't want to speak to God intimately. | |
| They wanted just to talk to Moses. | |
| But Moses was intimate. | |
| And it says in Psalms that the children of God saw the acts of God, but Moses knew his ways. | |
| And the more we become intimate, the more we learn the language, we get to know his ways. | |
| And it comes from wisdom from above. | |
| Always ask for wisdom. | |
| What happened when this book initially started, I had a visitation of Jesus in my living room and I asked for wisdom. | |
| It was an encounter I had in 1998. | |
| And it took a while to unveil to realize that we all have the wisdom, the hidden wisdom of Christ. | |
| And when we stand before leaders or anyone, we can release the wisdom from heaven, which brings the revelation of the kingdom and the revelation of the king of kings. | |
| So dreams and visions are so important. | |
| Even before the Torah, they were having God speaking to people through dreams. | |
| Even before the Torah with Joseph, before the Torah, Joseph had a dream and he was honored by his parents with a technicolor, a dream coat. | |

Daniel's Confirming Dreams

|
|
| So, you know, God speaks in dreams and visions. | |
| And, you know, in Psalms, what does it say about Psalms, Adrian? | |
| You know, in Psalm 105, verse 19, it says of Joseph, you know, Jacob's son. | |
| It says, until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested or tried him. | |
| Now, what was Joseph's word that had to come to pass? | |
| Well, if you think that through, it was the visions that he had and he shared with his family, that they would all bow down to him and that the sun, the moon, and the living stars would bow down to him. | |
| And so what you see from that is that a dream can be as a Rhema word from God or a Rhima word from God, depending on how you say that. | |
| And if we were looking for other verses in scripture to confirm that, so a dream can be a word from God. | |
| And Daniel 2, 23 and Daniel 4, 33 seem to confirm that as Daniel speaks about a word and he's actually speaking about a dream. | |
| And so we need to realize that dreams are part of God's Rhema language to us. | |
| It's important to have the foundational understanding of the Logos. | |
| That's the boundaries. | |
| But the dreams and visions can be Rhima, especially when you look at John the Apostle. | |
