Why Gluten Is Inflammatory 00:01:51
I use as the roadmap the foods that invite health, healing, and anti-inflammation into your body.
It literally, we put you on an anti-inflammatory diet.
And you say, well, wait, didn't you write a book similar to that years ago?
What would Jesus Eat?
Well, what I found is you can even eat the foods Jesus ate.
And if I'd continued eating just those foods, I wouldn't have overcome psoriasis.
Because Jesus said, give us this day our daily bread.
If I'd continued eating bread, the very bread I was eating was inflaming my body.
But Jesus' bread wasn't made the way our bread is.
Exactly.
Our bread is processed, and we don't have the same grains they had back then.
Right now, most all the wheat is highly inflammatory for so many health conditions.
It raises so many people's blood sugar.
It raises cholesterol.
It raises blood pressure.
For patients with dementia, it invites dementia to the brain.
For so many people, one of the first things.
Dementia.
Dementia?
Yes, because one of the first things I do...
That's the scariest thing to us old people.
Well, dementia.
You know, you start forgetting things and you see it.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, I don't see you as an old person.
I see you as a young person.
But the first thing I do when I see a patient with dementia is I take them off the gluten.
Dr. David Perlmutter is one of the leading neurologists in the world today.
And he finds that gluten is inflammatory for most people, especially the brains.
That's one of the first things he does for his dementia patients.
He gets them off the gluten.
He does that for ADD patients, ADHD.
You know, this is an inflammatory grain.
And so that's why we have alternatives.
Now, for the majority of people without dementia, that's not a problem.
If you are healthy, then it's not a problem.
