Jim Bakker Show - The Effects of Wheat Gluten Aired: 2015-12-17 Duration: 01:51 === Why Gluten Is Inflammatory (01:51) === [00:00:00] I use as the roadmap the foods that invite health, healing, and anti-inflammation into your body. [00:00:07] It literally, we put you on an anti-inflammatory diet. [00:00:12] And you say, well, wait, didn't you write a book similar to that years ago? [00:00:15] What would Jesus Eat? [00:00:17] Well, what I found is you can even eat the foods Jesus ate. [00:00:21] And if I'd continued eating just those foods, I wouldn't have overcome psoriasis. [00:00:26] Because Jesus said, give us this day our daily bread. [00:00:28] If I'd continued eating bread, the very bread I was eating was inflaming my body. [00:00:32] But Jesus' bread wasn't made the way our bread is. [00:00:34] Exactly. [00:00:36] Our bread is processed, and we don't have the same grains they had back then. [00:00:40] Right now, most all the wheat is highly inflammatory for so many health conditions. [00:00:47] It raises so many people's blood sugar. [00:00:49] It raises cholesterol. [00:00:50] It raises blood pressure. [00:00:53] For patients with dementia, it invites dementia to the brain. [00:00:56] For so many people, one of the first things. [00:00:58] Dementia. [00:00:58] Dementia? [00:00:59] Yes, because one of the first things I do... [00:01:02] That's the scariest thing to us old people. [00:01:04] Well, dementia. [00:01:06] You know, you start forgetting things and you see it. [00:01:08] Oh, my God. [00:01:11] Yeah, I don't see you as an old person. [00:01:12] I see you as a young person. [00:01:14] But the first thing I do when I see a patient with dementia is I take them off the gluten. [00:01:21] Dr. David Perlmutter is one of the leading neurologists in the world today. [00:01:27] And he finds that gluten is inflammatory for most people, especially the brains. [00:01:32] That's one of the first things he does for his dementia patients. [00:01:35] He gets them off the gluten. [00:01:36] He does that for ADD patients, ADHD. [00:01:40] You know, this is an inflammatory grain. [00:01:43] And so that's why we have alternatives. [00:01:45] Now, for the majority of people without dementia, that's not a problem. [00:01:48] If you are healthy, then it's not a problem.
