Sebastian Gorka FULL SHOW: Will they put President Trump in prison next month?
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
the the
the A year ago, you made this prediction about Trump wearing an ankle bracelet.
Do you think he's going to be wearing an ankle bracelet or be in jail after the sentencing?
I don't know.
It seems unlikely, but I've never seen a defendant beg for it more by attacking the judge, attacking the jury, attacking the witnesses.
One of the key things in assessing what sentence is appropriate, a judge looks at, so are you sorry for what you did?
Are you respecting the system?
This defendant is running the other way.
That man should be in prison.
His name is James Comey.
He helped to orchestrate a tri-agency illegal surveillance of a presidential candidate and then an elected president.
It's called Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
Jim Comey should be in prison for that and that alone.
And what is he saying?
Oh, the judge.
It's up to the judge.
And President Trump wants to go in prison.
Really?
Yeah, of course he wants to go to prison, you cretin.
You hack.
I'm Sebastian Gorka.
This is America First.
Buckle up.
Buckle up for the next four and a half months.
It's going to get worse every single day.
What have we just seen very quietly drop on Friday?
Again, the Democrats, Bennie Thompson has done what?
submitted legislation to remove Secret Service protection from any American who's been convicted of a felony.
How many people with Secret Service protection have been convicted of a felony?
Out of 330 people, 330 million people.
Eric, how many?
How long is the list?
How many people?
How many dozens of people are we talking about?
I'm not entirely sure how many people.
It's probably not a very big list though.
I think it's one, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's Donald Trump.
Now just stop for a second, just take politics out of it if you can.
The Democrats in Congress, the man who ran for Nancy, the sham illegal January 6th investigation, he wants to strip President Trump of his Secret Service protection.
I don't think there's anybody who's more At risk of assassination than President Trump right now.
Do you know that a woman sent him ricin in the mail?
Yes, the deadly, deadly toxin.
You won't read about it in the mainstream media, of course not, because, well, why would you?
Because they're liars, they're whores for the Democrat Party.
And they want to strip him of his Secret Service details.
So what?
He can be shanked?
He can be shivved in a prison?
Let's listen to another Democrat.
Let's listen to Adam Schiff, the man who's lied for the last eight years about President Trump.
Still hasn't provided us the Russia, Russia collusion evidence that he said he has.
Strange, where is it?
Adam Schiff.
Cut 12.
Do you think it would be dangerous for the country if Donald Trump were sentenced to jail?
No, I don't think it'll be dangerous for the country.
And we have seen Trump urge mass protests outside the courthouse that never materialized.
But nevertheless, this is, I think, what Donald Trump is aiming for.
This is essentially his threat that if he gets jail time, that he's going to encourage his supporters to rise up.
And we saw the very, you know, deadly results of that on January 6th.
No threat to the nation?
What do you think's going to happen?
If you think the judge will be fair on July 14th, you live in a fantasy land or you're a Democrat.
Judge Juan Merchan works for Joe Biden.
It's that simple.
I was there in the courtroom.
I saw it.
When the president's very diffident counsel stood up to make a request, very politely, soft-spoken individual, in front of us as witnesses in the courtroom, Judge Juan Merchan, who donated to the Biden campaign and to an anti-Trump super PAC, said in front of us, sit down!
I don't want to hear from you!
That's the judge who's not going to put President Trump in prison?
I guarantee you, Ryan, I'm so leery of doing this.
I hate it when I am asked to do predictions because what's the point of doing predictions?
Nobody ever keeps them to you.
Nobody, you know, six months later invites you on a show and says, back on, you know, June the 2nd, you said X.
Nobody does that, because there aren't any journalists left anymore, except for the people who come on our show.
So what's the point, really?
But I'll make you one right now.
Wanmo Chan works for the Biden administration.
His daughter has garnered, what, $100 million for the Democrats in the last six weeks because of her daddy's trial.
He will put President Trump in prison.
Next month.
Because Biden can't win otherwise.
Or that's what they think.
At the very, very, very least, the saving grace option will be what?
To put him under house arrest at Mar-a-Lago or New York.
To make sure that he can't campaign.
To make sure that he can't go to events in New Jersey with a hundred thousand people or to Harlem with little black kids chanting we love you Trump or can't be seen at sporting events as he was this weekend at the UFC where he walked in With a response as if he were, as if Elvis had come back from the dead.
Not just from the crowd, the adulation, the chance of Trump, Trump, Trump, but from the fighters inside the ring.
Here's Sean Strickland at the UFC, winning in front of President Trump.
What's his response?
Cut eight.
President Trump, you're the man, bro.
It is a damn travesty what they're doing to you.
I'll be donating you, my man.
Let's get it done.
Let's get it done.
Congratulations, sir.
Sean Strickland, ladies and gentlemen!
And who is that?
Is that Joe Rogan saying, let's get... Joe Rogan just said, let's get it done!
Is he now on the Trump train?
Wow!
That was Joe Rogan, wasn't it, Eric?
That was indeed Joe Rogan.
Maybe he will finally have the president on his podcast now.
Oh, that would... Joe, come on!
You just said it, let's get it done.
Here's the good news.
Since Thursday's verdict, forget the 70 million small donations that crashed the website, In addition to the big donors, I talked to somebody on Saturday who donated $20,000.
He's one of our sponsors here on the show.
He said, we got to save America.
$20,000.
The total.
Eric Trump has given us, since Thursday, is $200 million.
That's how stupid and driven by hate the Democrats are.
They have made my former boss more powerful than you can imagine in American political history.
$200 in 72 hours.
100,000 people in New Jersey.
The UFC stadium igniting with love for President Trump and support for President Trump.
They will Try to put him in jail.
They will try to put him under house arrest.
What are we prepared to do about it politically?
Are you doing anything about it?
I am.
My wife is.
If you're not engaged, you're working for Biden.
Less than five months.
Come on, guys.
It's up to us.
Donate.
Volunteer.
If not you, then who?
If not now, then when?
I'm Sebastian Gorka.

For $1 from LJGreywolf, t-shirt idea.
Yeah.
May 30th, 2024 with an upside down American flag.
Oh, that's good.
That's good.
All right.
I think we need the first, the next one has to be Trump outlaw t-shirt.
Something.
Yeah.
Trump.
Yeah.
Outlaw president.
Flying Wombat for $2.
Recommending a double feature for making movies great again.
1938's The Lady Vanishes and 1940 Night Train to Munich.
Both films feature supporting characters Charters and Caldecott, played by the same actors.
Oh, I don't know the second one.
Will you screenshot that and send it to me?
Yeah.
And then, gotta read these, the two biggest superchats we have ever received!
Scooter McDooder for $20, how's it going, says, quote, I woke up this morning, this is after the verdict, full of piss and vinegar.
I'm ready for a fight.
What good is money without a country?
Time to donate to Trump, patriots.
Love it!
Can you read Scooter McDooder the last thing?
Uh, woke up this morning, no, no, no, after the piss and vinegar, the, uh, what good is money without a country?
Donated today.
Read that out.
And then one more.
This is the biggest donation we've ever gotten.
Jules15 for $47.
Question for the good doctor.
How could this be used to convince fence sitters to vote for Trump?
A stubborn black friend of mine still loves Biden.
Signed, love from a fierce firearm girl in California.
Trump 2024.
I love it.
Good.
All right, let's read those out.
All righty.
I think Trump would be insane to show up to sentencing.
You think he shouldn't?
I wouldn't show up for that.
Ooh!
Spicy!
But why give him the opportunity?
Spicy, come and get me.
Yes, exactly.
Just hide out in Florida.
Just campaign in every other state except New York.
No, no, no, no, no.
On the day of the sentencing, he should have a rally in Texas.
Come and get me.
Right.
Now Florida, because put it on the status.
Oh, yes!
In Florida!
Where's the governor's mansion in Florida?
Tallahassee.
Where is it?
Tallahassee.
Hey, buddy.
Good, good, good.
Yeah, where do you think it is?
Tallahassee, where is it?
Yeah, it's Tallahassee.
All right, we gotta do that.
We gotta talk about that, Jeff, on air.
That's too good, too good, too good, too good.
Angel Tree.
Yeah, Angel Tree, and I want to show the image of this FBI gay pride bullshit.
Could he hire Blackwater?
Oh, totally.
To protect him.
Yeah, totally.
Oh my god, then Erik Prince would do it for free.
Erik Prince would send Lotus Seals for free.
Erik Prince himself will do it.
Thanks, great.
Alright, it's just one segment today because we've got so much breaking news.
Seconds.
You want to come up with something?
And do you want an audio?
For Angel Tree.
Oh yeah, Angel Tree.
Audio for Angel Tree.
At the top.
Okay.
Yeah.
It is a great camp for kids to go to.
Everybody loves you, cares for you, and it's a great camp.
Learn about God.
The best part of Angel Tree was, for me, would have to be the activities.
I get to play in the gym.
You get to go tubing in the lake, wade boarding, water weenie.
What I learned the most about Jesus was that even though that your father has been incarcerated
or in jail, you still have a father up in heaven.
Just the fact that a young boy like that has to even know what the word incarcerated means
just kind of breaks your heart, doesn't it?
It's one of the children you helped send to one of the Angel Tree Prison Fellowship summer camps last year.
Just thanks to you, our Salem listeners, thousands of young girls and boys who have a mother or father in prison went to a safe Christian summer camp to try and break that cycle.
More than 70%, if we don't help them, will end up in prison as well.
It's one of the most beautiful things you can do.
If you want to kind of take a deep breath from everything that's happening to America, to President Trump, to MAGA, and just do something beautiful for a moment, then please support one of these children.
We have camps in 49 of the 50 states.
It's just $200 per child.
Will you donate $200 today?
You heard the Lieutenant Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick, when he heard me mention this on the show before our interview, he said, that's too beautiful.
I'm donating $10,000.
And he sent the checks in already. $10,000!
God bless you.
Daniel Patrick.
Please make a difference today.
Whatever you can afford, it's a blessed thing you do.
You can call them up.
It's tax-deductible.
The number is 888-206-2794.
Or just go to my website, sebgorka.com, and click on the Angel Tree banner.
You could be saving a life today.
That's S-E-B-G-O-R-K-A, sebgorka.com, and the Angel Tree banner.
Okay, just flooding.
It's just a floodgate of new stories.
We have to cover as much as we can in the three hours allotted to us.
This is, we wanted to get our next guest in to talk about his campaign for Congress, but because he spent A career in law enforcement, and that includes the FBI.
We have this image that I posted on social media this morning.
A gay pride parade with officers, agents of the FBI, carrying their guns openly with rainbow FBI t-shirts.
Mike Van Meter, what has this got to do with the Federal Bureau of Investigation?
Hey Seb, thanks for having me on.
You and I were having a little back and forth this morning and I appreciate you having me on because it was completely unplanned.
Somebody sent that to me this morning and I'm absolutely offended by this.
And I tell you, you were asking me this morning, you said, what can one member of Congress do?
Well, I'll tell you what, a lot.
And it's going to start with a member of Congress educating the public and other members of Congress and the DOJ about what the role of the FBI is.
I can tell you this, that when I was in the FBI and when I was in the military, never, never, never would you have seen something like that for a couple of reasons.
Forget about that this is Pride Month.
Forget about that.
Any issue, when you are in the FBI or in the military, you are not to protest.
You are not to get involved in any political causes, which is what this is, absolutely.
And agents now are involved in these parades, they're involved in these activities, and openly displaying weapons.
Let's go back and let's just show that image, because this is an important aspect that I didn't even want to talk about.
Right there.
So, you know, these are FBI agents in public at an ideological parade, not just with the FBI raid t-shirts on, but a rainbow-colored, you know, homosexual, LGBTQ, FBI t-shirt and their weapons showing.
What's up with that?
Listen, I was an instructor at the FBI Academy for almost seven years, and I can tell you that is not taught, that is not tolerated.
We never did that.
The only time you display weapons is when you're executing an arrest warrant or a search warrant, and then you want people to know who you are.
Otherwise, you're just a bad guy with a gun showing up, and you have to display that.
To be in a parade and openly carrying weapons, that absolutely goes against everything that is taught at the FBI.
Are you saying, is that agent saying, I've got a gun and I'm going to use it for this political purpose?
What's he saying?
I don't know that I would go that far.
So I have a concealed carry permit in DC, in Virginia, Maryland.
If my weapon is seen, I'm in big trouble, right?
It's called brandishing.
I can't walk around with my gun showing in DC.
I will get arrested.
Right.
Well, let me clarify something.
We, the FBI agents, and actually as a retired agent, I'm allowed to carry.
No, I know you are, but you don't go and parade with your jacket off showing your gun.
Let me reverse the question.
What happens if a Catholic FBI agent goes to a Catholic parade with his gun showing?
What would happen to him in the administration?
That would be shut down immediately.
And the problem is that because it's Pride Month and it's LBGT, nobody will touch it.
Seb, do you remember, I was on your show once before, and I talked about how when Comey was fired, and there were agents that worked for me because I was a supervisor, that were wearing Comey's Homies t-shirts.
At the Bureau.
In our office.
And I pulled them aside, and I said, you will not do that, and talked to them about their role in the Constitution, FBI policy, and all these different things.
And later, I was actually up before a promotion board, and I used this as an example of leadership in the FBI.
And I didn't get promoted because they listed it as SSA Van Meter tried to lecture the board members on his politics.
What I said was, no, you follow policy, and you follow the Constitution.
Nobody should have politics.
Absolutely.
Right?
But the topic was Trump at the time.
But if it's LGBT, and anybody that's listening here that is in the military or in the FBI
knows, when it comes to LGBT, you're not touching it.
But if it's a Catholic or if it's any other cause, they're shutting you down.
And you'll be disciplined.
Because remember, Sepp, January 6, there were agents that just attended, just on their own.
Yes.
Civilian clothes, nobody knew that they were up here.
Not brandishing weapons.
They were punished for that.
There are retired FBI agents that I personally know were subpoenaed and had to testify as to why they were there on January 6th.
But you see, these people on television, and I guarantee you nothing will be done.
I swear to you, I swear to you.
They're going to get promoted.
We will do something about that.
You'll probably get promoted.
All right, that's Van Meter, Mike Van Meter, setting us straight on what the FBI should be if it can be salvaged at all.
He should enjoy your support.
He is the candidate in Virginia's 11th congressional district.
VanMeterForVirginia.com and follow him right now at VanMeterForVA.
As far as I'm concerned, and it saddens me to say this, The FBI is unsalvageable.
Its missions have to be hived off to other agencies because if you permit that, if you permit that level of politicization and then people like Mike don't get promoted because he says we should have an apolitical entity, Well, it's unsalvageable.
But let's show him some support.
Van Meter, Mike Manvita, 11th Congressional District in Virginia, vanmeter4virginia.com and at vanmeter4va.
I'm Sebastian Gorka, your calls, 833-33-Gorka, that's 833-334-6752.

That's my whole name, is one word, SebastianGawker.substack.com.
This is America First, wherever you are, whatever you're doing, do not touch that dial.
You're not alone.
you you
Bye.
So a lot of people have suggested that there are a range of factors that would make it difficult to put a former, there's not, the system has not been tested in this way.
Do you agree with that?
That it would be difficult or nearly impossible for the law enforcement institutions to put him in actual jail?
No.
They would just put him in a double wide somewhere out near the fence, out in the grass.
And he would eat there, he'd shower there, he'd exercise there, he'd be away, as Donya Perry said, from general population.
But it's obviously doable.
If anybody tells you in the next month and a half before sentencing that they don't want to put President Trump in prison, tell them about that clip.
Find it on my social media.
The former disgraced director of the FBI, James Comey, said, yeah, sure, well, we can get put him in prison.
They mean it.
They mean it.
They want to prevent you from choosing your next president.
Jeff, you had a really interesting idea.
So, on the 14th, which is what?
Four days before the convention is the sentencing in New York.
The 11th.
So the 11th is the sentencing, 14th is the convention.
What was your suggestion to President Trump?
I think he'd be crazy to go to the sentencing.
So he shouldn't go to the sentencing, right?
Absolutely not.
And then I had an idea that he should have a rally that day.
I said somewhere like Texas and say, come and get me.
But you had a better idea.
I think it would be Florida.
It is his home state.
That is DeSantis.
And DeSantis can protect him.
Okay, they should have a rally on the 11th with the president.
Eric, where does the governor live?
I believe that's in the state capital of Tallahassee.
So the rally, what do you think, Jeff?
Shall I tell Mar-a-Lago that they should have a massive Trump rally in Tallahassee on the 11th?
And if DeSantis was smart, that's exactly how he could get back the MAGA people.
I'm sorry, I'm going to send that.
As soon as we're off, I'm going to send that to Marla because that, that is the business.
That is superb.
All right, we're going to go to your calls in a moment.
There's only one line left.
The number is 833-33-GORKA.
833-33-GORKAT, it's 833-334-6752.
Ah, really, no, not really, Factor.

I had a great night's sleep last night.
Why?
Because I made sure that my pillow was fluffed up just right.

Yes, sir. I think that you are in the perfect position to understand the point that I want
to make and that is looking at the U.S.
from a foreign set of eyes.
You know that the image of the U.S.
has been severely diminished with this kangaroo court activities, yes?
Yep.
And so I am, and recently retired, worked in Asia for decades.
And I'm going to tell you, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Asia, they all look to the U.S.
as the example.
Yeah, absolutely indisputable.
Yeah, that's absolutely clear.
They look at this country and we look like a banana republic.
we have lost our image severely with our allies and partners because they don't
know what we're doing. These people that are in power now have a short-term gain
and a long-term loss. Yeah absolutely indisputable. Yeah that's absolutely
clear. They look at this country we look like a banana republic. Is that it Austin?
Yes.
You know, like in Korea, for a long time they called it democracy, but it was more of a dictatorship that they had for a number of years.
Almost every single president... We are no longer the shining city on a hill.
You're absolutely right.
God bless you and all the patriots left in Hawaii.
Let's go to Dave in Arizona.
Thank you, Dr. Gorka.
Hey.
Ultramag, a happy but passionately involved Warrior of Dinos from State 48, sir.
Thank you, buddy.
What's your comment?
What's your question?
With all your talk of t-shirts, do you mind if I throw one out before I get into my show?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, go ahead.
Share what I sent this morning.
You've only got a minute, but what's your t-shirt idea?
So I just threw it to you.
I noted you on truth.
On the front is a moveondog.org picture of President Trump.
It says felon across the front.
No verbiage on the front.
On the back, a picture of the White House.
Across the top, sentencing date 1-20-2025.
At the bottom, prisoner number is 47.
Oh, dude, that is great.
I like that.
Although, I'm a bit leery of having a negative teacher on the front that requires you to see the back because, you know, someone who doesn't see the back might get the wrong message.
But I love the creativity.
You tagged me on truth, is that right?
Yeah, I did.
I tagged you on truth.
You gotta be super quick, dude.
You got 30 seconds.
Mr. O'Neill, I've gotten so many positive comments about LGBTQ, like at my church or
at Trump rallies, because everybody sees it from far away and they think I'm part of the
enemy.
Then when they get close, they look at the whole thing, just like they did with the Trump
shirt with him on the back.
I wore that to defeating the Great Reset.
So you guys have the great merch, the great...
I appreciate being able to do this.
Stay on the line.
That idea is so good.
Let's get our buddy Dave one of our Trump did nothing wrong t-shirts.
But if you're not familiar with what Dave's talking about, it's one of our best sellers ever.

Dude, you gotta try harder.
You're not even funny.
Hey, dude.
No, no.
Dude, just shut up for a second.
No, fuck you.
I'll have some mules you fucking lying for in a second, kid.
Oh, dude.
I do like that you listen to the show.
Goodbye, little boy.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
We'll let this patriot.
It's the new read, isn't it now?
Oh yeah, got it.
Uh, come in with something short.
What do we have that's short?
Um, well we already played- Oh, well there's Alex Jones, I know you want to talk about that.
No, no, we gotta, we gotta unpack that.
Cargill?
Cut 13?
Uh, yes.
Okay.
Relentless Patriot, that's Salem now, isn't it?
Or...
Doesn't have a... It doesn't... It's not in the script here.
Why is there no link here?
There's something wrong with this read.
What read is it?
The Relentless Patriot.
How can you give me a read with no... I know it's a documentary.
It's gotta be Salem now.
Let me double check.
Guys, you really need to check this stuff before you hand it to me.
It's not on the front page.
I'm not seeing it.
No, yeah, I'm not seeing it on sale now either.
Who sent you that copy Alex?
Pointless.
Who's it from?
He says it's on the calendar.
Let's have a look what it says in the emails.
Here we go.
So, we'll see what it says.
So the copy says only in theatre.
Where does it say that?
Okay, alright.
Come here, that cut, then I'll read this.
You But I don't think Trump will go to the debate.
And I base that on him doing anything that's not in his perceived self-interest.
And this is one of these things where he could hurt... Biden has a chance to help himself.
Jeff, what is it with these clips?
I mean, just run that b-roll in the background.

It does look like it.

It looks like he's old and sick.

Unbelievable.
Yeah, because President Trump never does anything that's not in his own interest.
What, like going to prison?
Like that?
Oh, the Democrats are desperate.
All right, let's talk to somebody who knows how to present himself live on television, especially on his own show.

No dentures, no sweatshirt, no looking through a dirty lens on your iPad.

Unbelievable.
Alright, there's so much news today, I don't know where to begin.
One story we haven't covered yet in the last 40 minutes is, what's happening with the President's son today?
Can you fill us in?
Yeah, well, he's going through jury selection.
He's finding out that the court system is going to treat him, I think, like any other defendant in a gun trial.
The judge has been very even-handed thus far in the way that the jury selection has gone.
And we'll probably have a jury seated tonight or first thing tomorrow morning, and then opening arguments will occur in the afternoon.
This is going to be a very tough case for Hunter Biden's lawyers to make any ground on.
Why?
Because Hunter Biden himself made really damning admissions.
He's either going to have to say, I lied to my autobiography, I lied in my statement during the plea deal, or he's going to have to own those.
And then a jury's going to have a really hard time saying, well, then you should pay for your consequences.
You've admitted to them.
It's going to be a very tough case for the president.
So tell me if I missed anything, the argument here.
So in a federal, I mean, I've bought enough I don't have guns in my time.
You have to admit whether you've got a drug problem on the federal form.
That's right.
And he said he didn't and now he's trying to get out with it with some expert testimony that he went to rehab and he's cured.
Now I'm no expert but I thought addicts are always addicts and they're just whether they're in control of it or not.
Has anybody used this defense before that well I went to therapy therefore I'm okay and I can buy guns?
Yeah, no.
And certainly in the time frame where he is, there's a lot of evidence both from the laptop and from his own autobiography that he issued to make some money off of, where he, you know, acknowledges in this time frame that he was addicted to drugs and it was a significant problem.
It's going to be very interesting to see.
I think one of the experts already got knocked out by the judge today.
So it doesn't look like that.
One of the experts will be allowed in.
This is going to be a pretty quick case.
I think we'll be wrapped up by the end of the week.
Wow.
And I don't think it's looking good for the president or his son right now.
The president today came close to trying to sway the jury, but stopped a little short, but said, I don't think my son did anything wrong.
I stand behind him.
I'll leave it there.
But I don't think that's going to save him.
I think this jury is going to see through the facts.
The facts are pretty clear in this case.
This is not a complicated case.
I know we have a truncated discussion with you today.
You're a very busy man and we appreciate your time.
One quick question for you.
Some fiery congressional testimony and grilling for Fauci today.
Is this going to mean anything?
What's your take on what you've seen so far?
So literally, the reason I was a little late getting in here is I just did an interview with Chairman Brad Winstrip, who has been running these investigations, dug up a lot of the documents that contradict Anthony Fauci, or got Anthony Fauci to change his story over time.
And he said, listen, it is time to start making these bureaucratic scientists pay for what they've done to the American people.
And he says he's going to make proposals to cut science grants to NIH, particularly because Anthony Fauci said he wasn't even reviewing, he was signing them without even knowing what he was signing.
They didn't see any problem with gain-of-function research, and they were trying to play games
with the definition of it.
And also he said it may be time.
What a novel idea.
If the American taxpayer pays for medical inventions like vaccines and drugs, maybe
the money shouldn't go to the private scientists to enrich them.
Maybe it should come back to the American people to maybe lower our deficits or to balance
our budget.
So he's proposing some very sweeping changes to both appropriations and perhaps future
regulations governing the scientists that used to be at the beck and call of Anthony
Fauci.
It's very interesting to watch.
You know, today Anthony Fauci was on defense not just from Republicans.
But from his former subordinates who've now told the committee, we don't think he's been telling you the truth.
It was a pretty extraordinary hearing because both below Anthony Fauci and to the side of him in Congress, there are now people that directly contradict the things he told the American people.
None more important than this.
He told us time and again when he imposed things on us during the COVID, trust the science.
I'm following the science.
And today he had to say there was no science to six feet, to masks.
What an extraordinary admission by him today.

When Raskin says Fauci didn't fund the research of COVID in Wuhan, what does that mean, Eric?
It means Fauci probably funded the COVID research in Wuhan.
And it got a little bit spicy today!

And going back to what I said before, all of that is in the context of at the time So you didn't know, is that what it means?
Oh well, that means you're not a scientist and all the money you made, not just the $406,000 a year you made, is the highest paid civil servant, more than the president, but all the millions.

Let's play a little clip.
Oh, what's the news, Eric, about Alex Jones?
He's in prison, right?
He went live for an emergency broadcast on Saturday, claiming the feds were going to kick down his door and shut down his show any second.
Hang on, hang on, hang on.
Oh, hang on!

He dialed in again!

Where is Alex Jones now, Eric?
He's still free and InfoWars is still in operation.
So what was the evidence?
Did they leave a little candy for him on the doormat?
The feds were here?
What was the evidence?
The article I read from Newsweek said that the evidence he gave in his broadcast was when he walked into the studios that day, his security guards looked at him weird.
Excuse me, what did he say?
The security guards looked at him weird, gave him weird looks, thus the feds are gonna kick down his door apparently.
Play the cut of Mrs. De Jones, cut 14 please.

Jeff, you are a straight shooter.
Tell us what you learned when you watched the Alex Jones documentary last week.
He's not nuts, he's not crazy, he's a huge liar, is what he is.
And it's all about what?
It's all about?
The money.
And I could not believe that trial, because they got to the figures, some of the amount of money that guy was making.
And the crazier the conspiracy theory was, the more money he was making each day, too.
There's that one moment, do you remember, when he's testifying, and they said, you know, in this segment, you didn't mention The school shooting, and you made $15,000 in the next break.
And then the next segment, you said that it never happened, the children never died, the parents are crisis actors, and in the next break he made $200,000, Jeff.
Yes, that's exactly what it was.
And the other thing is, too, I thought that he just did it one or two times, the Sandy Hook thing, saying it was fake.
He did it for years.
Years?
Yes.
And he knew that he was lying when he said that.
What about the worst moment?
At the end, when he goes up to one of the mothers in the court, and he says, oh, I didn't mean any of it.
That guy, he... Is there anybody you've seen lie better than that?
He said he's a victim, too.
Remember that?
Because of all the... The government lies so much, he didn't know what to believe.
But I couldn't believe when he went up to the parents.
That was ridiculous.
A man who has literally made millions, tens, maybe hundreds of millions out of the death of innocent children, Alex Jones.
I wouldn't... No, I'm not gonna even say that.

Well, last week, God again lured Biden's evil democracy into an ambush.
After the first day at the Battle of Shiloh, Tennessee in 1862, General Sherman said to Ulysses S. Grant, it's been the devil's own day.
And General Grant tersely replied, lick him tomorrow, though.
The good news is, the grotesquely guilty Democrats will yet again be judged, because God will never allow the Democrat slave democracy to triumph Over his holy American purpose of justice, liberty, freedom, and morality, and not since the soulless Roman trial and guilty verdict delivered to a righteous carpenter from Galilee has civilization been so betrayed by such an injustice void of virtue, honesty, truth, and decency.

Of course, he lied.
There's, of course, really damning testimony that they released five months late showing that there wasn't really any, at least easy to point to, scientific evidence to support mask mandates and the six-foot social distancing measure.
Right, that he made it all up.
Sure, but I think it's important to, you know, as much as we could sit here and go through the kind of, you know, moments where Anthony Fauci was exposed for lying, I think it's more important to contextualize this hearing and what the broader narrative about the COVID origins has become in the last month or so.
And what I mean by that is what you are witnessing right now, in my humble opinion, is a limited
hangout.
And why I say that is because you saw the first hearing, right, with Peter Dorschak
happen.
And Democrats and Republicans, in probably the rarest moment of bipartisanship I've ever
seen, came together not just to debar him from getting federal funding, but to actually
hold a good hearing and light up Peter Dorschak, right, the recipient of funds from Anthony
Fauci that was collaborating with the Wuhan Institute of Virology on gain-of-function
research.
If you juxtapose that hearing with what you saw with Anthony Fauci today, Democrats were
not willing to throw down.
It looked like, frankly, their questions were written by Anthony Fauci when he has that
moment that he's sitting up there crying.
So I think what the narrative that we've always sort of forewarned about at the War Room is that they are using people like Peter Daszak to sort of sell down the river to cover for what is the broader systemic problem that is the National Institutes of Health, that is the big dogs, the big guns, people like Anthony Fauci, who support scientific collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party.
Of course, put that into context too with when you saw the mainstream media not too long ago doing a weird, I would argue, sort of limited hangout.
Hang on, stop using that phrase.
You're not everybody's a bloody Washington media insider.
I mean, how many people out of the millions listening know what limited hangout means?
Explain limited hangout, Natalie, please.
No, it's not.
It's not common usage.
Explain limited hangout.
Basically, I would say it's a form of information warfare that I think the regime media is very
good at, where when they sense that the American people are waking up to their tricks, their
lies, their deceit and deception, they'll give us an ounce of truth to make it look
like they're peddling.
And in reality, it's, of course, an intel community term, but in reality, they're trying
to obscure what is a much broader problem, that if you actually get to the heart of the
issue, you realize that the story of the origins of COVID-19 was not just one singular grant
gone wrong to EcoHealth Alliance, but it's a broader systemic problem, dare I say, not
even problem, but intentional effort coming from the Chinese Communist Party and their
bioweapons programs that apparently Anthony Fauci had no knowledge of, according to his
testimony today.
But I think you just have to sort of contextualize the origins of COVID.
in a broader narrative. These people have known these facts, these truths, since day one of the
origins of COVID. They selectively leak it, it's lies of omission.
Remember, it was the day after the Chinese spy balloon was revealed that it was flying
over the United States that the Biden regime felt comfortable releasing a Department of Energy
report saying that, well, maybe COVID-19 leaked from a lab.
Look at us.
We're tough on China.
So this is all part of a broader campaign of information warfare, and it just sucks when these congressional Republicans play into it.
And I don't really think did a good job of holding him accountable.
There's also the question about how much money these people are making colluding with big farmers.
So I want to talk to you about that.

On Fauci's B-roll, what have we not done?
Could be... play me cut to...
The president said Hamas is no longer capable of carrying out large-scale terror attacks.
Is that based on new U.S. intelligence and do the Israelis agree?
It is based on accumulation of our own intelligence assessments across the intelligence agencies
that militarily speaking Hamas is in no position to conduct another attack like October 7th.
Now, we're also not saying that Hamas has been wiped off the face of the map.
We've not said that Hamas has no military capabilities.
We've not said that they don't still represent a viable threat to the Israeli people.
Of course they do.
But they don't have the military capabilities to do what they did on the 7th of October.
And so from a military perspective only, George, as President Biden said, the Israelis have
accomplished most of their goals in Gaza.
And then seven.
Seven.
The Democrat Party is the new Confederacy.
That's right.
It was the old Confederacy.
Now it's the new Confederacy.
Reverse federalism, where a judge and a prosecutor steal the jurisdictional power of the federal government and all that implies, the Constitution, federal election laws.
And these entire processes, that is reverse federalism, that is nullification, that is the new confederacy.
That's what Joe Biden, the old confederate, and that's what his Marxist supporters now support.
Good, good, good, good.
Come in with six.
Did I say six?
You did say six.
Play it again.
The first time I was in the courtroom, Donald Trump was very surprised to see me because it had been mostly reporters, you know, very few anchor types showing up there.
And Donald Trump has hated me longer than anyone who was going to walk into that courtroom.
He was once very fond of Stormy Daniels and, you know, very fond of Michael Cohen.
But in 2011, when Donald Trump started talking about President Obama's birth certificate, I said he was lying about it, and I called him a liar.
And Donald Trump had never been called a liar before in his life, even though he lived a life of lying.
Do you think anybody believed that Donald Trump even noticed he was in the courtroom?
No.
Of course not.
No.
You know he was sitting right behind me, right?
He also went on to say that Trump made it, like, stared him down and all the stuff afterwards, too.
Right, because Trump's facing that way.
Exactly.
So Donald is behind him.
Yeah, that's how physics works.
We've played both of the comic cuts, right?
Yeah, we have.
We've played Carville, we've played Jones, Fauci.
Okay, count me with 6.
Counting with 6.
Alright.
Thirty seconds, six and then pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.
Okay.
And then you're going to pull off.

And Donald Trump had never been called a liar before in his life, even though he'd lived a life of lying.
What's wrong with his makeup, Jeff?
Can you play that as B-roll?
That loser was sitting behind me in the courtroom when I was there with President Trump.
President Trump didn't even notice he was there.
But what is... Is he trying to imitate... Is he like the new bad orange man?
What's going on there, Jeff?
I didn't even notice that until now.
And he's talking to that other woman who's stolen President Trump's haircut.
What's her name?
Joy Reid.
Joy culturally appropriates President Trump's haircut.
And then Lawrence O'Donnell, the Stop the Hammering Man, is now orange.
What's going on?
It is kind of interesting.
The guy they hate the most they're starting to look like.
I'm confused.
It's a little strange.
Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome.

We're back with the co-host of the War Room podcast, Natalie Winters.
Follow her at Natalie G. Winters.
I gotta ask the question.
We'll get back to Fauci in a second.
The conventional wisdom on the right is they overstepped the mark, 200 million donated, massive rallies in New Jersey, the Bronx and everywhere.
What's your take on the last four days?
And sorry, let me preface it.
In the monologue, I said, of course, they're going to put President Trump in prison.
I mean, seriously, that's the whole plan.
But go ahead.
Almost as bad as that Lawrence O'Donnell's makeup, Noah.
You know my kind of background in all this is an investigative reporting into the Chinese Communist Party and how they run their system, their country over there, and how we really are in a fight for good and evil between the American world order and what the Chinese Communist Party wants to roll out here.
And I know I felt that when I was covering, I was on the ground for a lot of President Trump's indictments in Miami and Washington, D.C.
And there just was something in the air where truly, I know I tweeted joking, I was like, I feel like I'm living in China.
I feel like I'm living in a totalitarian regime.
And I think it's just sort of on full display.
But I think in some ways, you take it as a testament to the strength and the fear that they have, not just of President Trump, but of the MAGA movement.
So in some ways, I think it's Frankly, I think it's a... you find the silver lining in it.
They're actually scared of what we're doing, and I think if you extrapolate it out, you know, this next election cycle is so important to them, because so many of... whether it's the Chinese Communist Party and their Made in China 2025 initiative, the Belt and Road, although that hasn't been going too well, or the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and their kind of sustainable development goals, Agenda 2030.
These next six, five years are crunch time for them, and I think they know, as President Trump, He's in office.
He's a large impediment for that.
We've only got a minute and a half left, but I'd love to get your take on this.
So you did some of the seminal work on investigating Wuhan and the lives of Fauci and, you know, the Eco Alliance front company.
What about the other issue, irrespective of Wuhan and COVID-19, that people like Fauci, government civil servants, are literally making tens of millions of dollars in collaboration with Big Pharma on patents to do with new drugs.
How can that be left to stand, Nathalie?
I don't know.
But it's really the playbook of those beltway types, right?
It's sort of socializing the risk in the sense that taxpayers have to foot the bill for all these experiments.
And then whether it's the researchers, the pharma companies, they get the huge royalties.
People like Anthony Fauci get the nice book deals.
And frankly, it's not even that we don't see a return on our investments.
We see actively undermining our investments in the form of worldwide global pandemics.
being released, but that's their playbook, whether it's mass immigration, bank bailouts, you name it.
So when it comes to big pharma, even though you have Democrats up there saying,
oh, well, the American Academy of Physicians, and they rattle off dozens
of all these big pharma-funded entities, say that this hearing is really bad
because it's bad for science.
They just want their profit margins to be much bigger, and they know if we actually spread the truth
and hold people like Fauci accountable, it undermines that.
A couple of seconds left.
It would be remiss of me if I didn't ask you, Natalie.
How is your co-host, how is the honey badger Steve Bannon doing?
Unfazed, as always.
He's the best.
We're lucky to have him and we're going to have him for a while.
The honey, well it's a honey badger.

Have you seen that video of the one that gets bitten twice by a poisonous snake and then kind of just like shakes it up?
Three times, four times, five times.
Yeah.
I think he can handle it.

All right, I'm going to use cut 15 here.
Come in with 11.
What is, what is Chad Bianco?
What county is he, Geoff, do you know?
He said he'll look it up.
He said come in with 11.
Yeah, come in with 11 and I'll tee up.
I think Riverside, Geoff.
I could be wrong.
That sounds right.
And then I'll do Ph.D.
before the Sheriff.
And then you can block the calls.
Go to 11, then Ph.D., then 15.
Riverside, yep.
Oh, and you wanted me to read these superchats at some point on the air?
Oh yeah, we'll do that after the Sheriff.
After E?
After the sheriff, oh sorry, after the sheriff, yeah.
Also, for O'Donnell to suggest that Trump had never been called a liar before...
No, it's just so stupid.
When he was, like, clashing with Ed Koch back in, like, the 80s, I'm sure Koch called him a liar on multiple occasions.
Well, and the New York Park Five.
Mm-hmm.
Oh yeah.
Mike Reagan, right?
The son of Reagan?
Mm-hmm.
He was a never-Trumper, right?
I think so.
Jeff?
Michael Reagan.
Was he National Review, maybe?
He could be, I don't remember, but...
I wouldn't be surprised.
He wants to come on the show, you saw that?
Yeah.
Do you want him or not?
Oh ho ho ho!
He did!
Uh oh.
Oh, I'm gonna have fun with them.
Oh boy.
I'm gonna have fun with them.
Oh boy!
They don't think the internet's forever, how weird.
They don't get it.
They just don't get it.
The one thing that will last forever, created by humanity, is the internet.
Alright, coming in with 11.
Thanks for watching.
Bye.
Peter, there are hundreds of people who are at the Capitol or even outside the Capitol that day who did not attack a law enforcement officer, who did not damage public property, who are facing more time in jail than the crimes for which they are charged, many of whom are about to have their convictions erased by the Supreme Court.
Compare the techniques the Department of Justice used to pursue the BLM rioters or these Democratic street militias outside the Supreme Court.
Good for Tom Cotton.
Good for Tom Cotton.
Jeff, I know we've got a national radio show, I know we've got millions of listeners, we've got Rumble, we've got 4.3 million followers now on social media, but why would Never Trumpers email me and you to come on this show?
What's all that about?
They think that we've forgotten about it, I think.
They think the internet isn't forever?
Yes, I would say so.
So I've got a request.
I just emailed you on a quite famous individual.
At least his last name is rather famous.
He wants to come on the show to promote his new book.
And I'm thinking, maybe if he apologizes to President Trump and endorses him, maybe we'll let him on.
What do you think?
Yeah, and this wasn't even, like, the early days, like, before you didn't know what he was gonna do.
No!
Yeah, this was last year he came out against him.
What do you think of my idea?
Should we make them grovel to MAGA?
That's not a bad idea.
Would you like that?
It'd be fun.
It'd be a short interview.
Eric, what do you think?
Or shall we just, like, invite them and then just do a gotcha?
Either one of those would be great, a gotcha or just make them grovel, because at the end of the day, the MAGA movement, America first, is the future of the right in America.
Well, Eric is the extremist, Jeff is just the cynical one.
Let's ask the gentlemen of the team.
Alex, what do we do?
Do we make them grovel in private or do we gotcha them?
Or do you have a third gentlemanly option?
They can come on the show, sit in the hot chair with the MAGA hat on.
Nicely done.
Well, nicely done.
Good stuff, guys.
Good stuff.
What the best team out there.
Don't tell anybody.
I'm Sebastian Gorka.

Stories, guests, monologues, breaking news, and then your Super Chats on Rumble.
One we have to edit a little bit because it's a tad spicy, but it's from one of our friends.
So Eric, tell us what happened today with the viewers on Rumble.
First up, we've got Scooter McDuder for $20, responding to the verdict, of course, says, I'm ready for a fight.
What good is money without a country?
Time to donate to Trump, Patriots.
What is money good for without a country?
I mean, philosophical, deep, but so simple.
Scooter McDooder.
Much appreciated.
We'll buy some extra Hershey's Kisses for the green room.
And what's our next comment, please?
This is the biggest super chat we've ever gotten, folks.
Jules15 for $47.
I can see why she chose that number.
Whoa!
She says, question for the good doctor.
How could this be used to convince fence sitters to vote for Trump?
Meaning the verdict?
Exactly.
She says, a stubborn black friend of mine still loves Biden.
Signed, love from a fierce firearm girl in California, Trump 2024.
Well, let's get your input.
Here's a couple from me.
So first, if it's a black Democrat supporter of Biden, ask them, so what do you think about Biden saying, if you don't vote for me, you ain't black?
And then ask them about I don't know if they live in the real world where they have a mortgage, they have to buy gasoline for their car.
Ask them how.
It's what Reagan said.
Are you better off than you were four years ago?
It's very simple.
Jeff, what are the recommendations?
If you had a black Democrat friend who's pro-Biden, or you knew somebody, what is the one or two questions you'd posit to them?
I would just go with the economy, the inflation, what everything costs, houses, cars, groceries.
Right.
What about the clip?
I mean, the clip from the Harlem Bodega.
Don't you think that's a good, you know, tune?
They're all good.
All those clips are good.
Let's play it again.
Have you got that handy?
Because I just love it.
I just want to play it.
Outside the Bodega, President Trump with the kids of Harlem.
I love you Trump!
I love you Trump!
We love Trump!
We love Trump!
I love you Trump!
We love Trump!
We want Trump!
We want Trump! We want Trump!
And then you have, where was that Chick-fil-A?
What was that?
Was that Atlanta, Eric?
That was indeed the city of Atlanta.
That was, I think, the day we were waiting for the president, Mar-a-Lago, with the Truth Social team.
And on the way home from, I think it was campaigning in Atlanta and Orlando that day, then he came to Mar-a-Lago to meet us at 10 o'clock at night.
And that's the day this occurred.
Black college professor who said, I don't care what they say about you.
Play cut.
I don't care what the media tells you, Mr. Trump.
We support you.
We love you.
Okay, 4 p.m.
We've been 4 p.m.
for a while.
Come here, let me give you a hug.
We love you!
Thank you!
Tell my mama I'm fading!
The grin on her face and the grin on the president's face.
on her face and the grin on the president's face.
I don't think we have the cut, but we need to put it in the evergreens.
Then we have President Trump delivering the pizza pies to the fire station.
I think it's the most powerful of all for two reasons.
Tell me if you've got it, Eric.
Number one, if you work for the government in New York, man, You can't be seen to be a Republican, right?
It doesn't matter whether you're a firefighter or you empty the trash cans in City Hall.
You can't.
Your career is on the line.
And the way that he says it, what does that firefighter say?
If you can't hear it, I'll tell you in a moment.
President Trump in that fire station.
Play Cut. Save us. Save us.
Save us. Save us.
Save us. Save us.
Save us, Mr. President.
Is there anything else you need to know?
A man who... I think we heard two different voices there.
I think there's two firefighters.
The men who run into burning buildings to save us.
The quintessence of courage are asking President Trump to save America.
And just the visual.
What president, former, future, candidate delivers pizza?
Wow.
God bless.

Mic's on.
Two minutes.
Coming with 15.
15, oh yeah.
15. 15. Oh yeah. A minute 50 long.
Oh I don't know what it what it The show?
Where did those three hours go?
They vanished at the speed of Trump.
Do you guys feel it?
That things are faster?
Oh yeah.
It's just gonna get, once the convention happens and we really get into the campaign season.
There's still like a few more primaries left.
Wow.
Oh, we have to read, we have to record this copy as well.
Audio reads, yeah.
What do we got here?
40 seconds.
PhD.
Oh, Katie.
Okay.
the This love affair that our governor and our state legislature have with criminals is based on the belief that criminals are not responsible for their own actions.
They're a victim of society.
And really, it's our fault.
It's society's fault.
It's business's fault.
We are.
It's cops fault.
It might be my fault.
Law enforcement, apparently, if you listen to our governor, is systemically racist.
If you listen to our legislature, our laws are systemically racist.
Our judicial system is systemically racist.
All of these people that are being put in jail are because of law enforcement bias and DA bias and all of these things.
And so they let them out.
They give them food.
They give them housing.
They give them money.
They give them drugs and alcohol now.
And I've got to be honest, I'm getting tired.
I'm getting tired.
And I'm wondering if I'm having a change of heart and deciding that, you know what, maybe I've been wrong.
And I think I'm going to change teams.
I know it's going to make some of you angry.
I know that you're going to be mad at me, but I'm going to change teams.
I think they're on to something, but I don't think they're doing enough.
I think that we need to go big.
You know me.
Go big or go home.
You're the biggest.
You do the best.
You're the best at everything.
And you might as well do something right if you're going to do it.
And I'm all in.
And I hope that you're all with me.
I hope that you all have this change of heart.
You all feel that this is definitely the right thing to do.
And you come alongside me in this venture.
And I think it's time that instead of letting them out of jail and giving them alcohol and drugs and everything else, I think it's time we put a felon in the White House.
Trump 2024, baby.
Let's save this country and make America great again.
Sheriff Bianco, Riverside, California, allegedly going to run for the governor of the state.
It's time to put a felon in the White House.
Let's go baby.
Trump 2024.
Love that clip.
Also love the fact that I met some young men this weekend who've just graduated from VMI.
Two brothers.
One of them going into the army.
The other one becoming a nuclear engineer for the Navy.
Then my sister-in-law just texted me that her friend's son has just graduated from Annapolis and he'd like a congratulation video from us here at America First.
That's when you have hope reinstilled.
When you've got Democrat sheriffs saying, I don't care!

It's Monday.
Next.
The Manhood Hour.
You don't want to miss it.
Quite, quite the breaking news day.
Mondays are supposed to be a little bit quieter, not today.
And I don't think any day will be quiet for the next five months as we prepare for our elections here in the United States.
But we have to pause for a moment and do a deep dive on the larger issues that inform
everyday politics and more importantly inform the quality of our civilization.
Welcome to a special edition of the Manhood Hour with an individual who, well, is a very
smart guy, impressed me immensely the first time I heard him speak, who's fighting for
that self-same civilization from the organization with the superb title Brave Angels, John Wood
Jr.
Welcome back to America First!
Dr. Gorka, it is always a pleasure, and you give me the opportunity to talk about some of the things that I never get a chance to go deep on on ordinary programs, and so it really is a privilege.
Well, you know, this is why we do the third hour with a special guest, the deep dive, the long form.
I've been a radio addict since I was a little boy listening to her.
A little tinny plastic transistor radio under my pillow into the wee hours.
And I love the long form because, you know, TV's okay, regular radio's okay, but how much real meat can you get into in a three or even an eight minute interview?
Not so much.
So we value these moments and it's an opportunity for me.
I love to have smart people to talk to for the third hour of the show.
Dear friends, if you enjoy what we do here, make sure you are subscribed to the podcast so you never miss our deep dive discussions.
Whichever platform you prefer, Salem, Apple, Spotify, just plug in my name, Sebastian Gawker, America First.
Do leave us a five star review and share the links with your friends.
So let's start at the top because you're one of these rare individuals who can Give us the big philosophical analysis, but you're not sitting in an ivory tower.
You live in the real world.
You're an ambassador for Braver Angels, which is an organization that tries to bridge the gap between seemingly disparate communities in our nation, people who have real issues to address.
So let's start at the highest level, the strategic level, the macro level.
Could you give us your diagnosis, John, for The state of our society, you can talk about America, or you can talk about our civilization, Judeo-Christian civilization.
How ill are we?
Right, right.
Well, I appreciate the opportunity, Sebastian.
I think that we are living in a moment where what is eroded is the fundamental structure of shared first principles.
that is not only captured in holding a shared faith framework—indeed, that can't be strictly necessary for a pluralistic society—but that it at least ought to be present in a nation where we share enough of a foundation of heritage To allow us to engage in a language centered around ethics, morality, and virtue.
Let me interrupt you there, because for some listeners, and you know, you're talking to millions of people across the nation, homemakers, people, truck drivers, you name it, of every stratum, what is First principles.
Can we start with that?
What is this concept?
What does it mean?
And why is it so essential to the good functioning of our society?
By all means, by all means.
First principles basically means that before you get to identifying yourself as a liberal or conservative, before you get to identifying yourself as Republican or Democrat or anything like that, values that we hold in common that are foundational to who we are as human beings, such as honor, such as integrity, such as honesty, such as compassion, such as courage, and also commitments to things like freedom, commitments to things like justice, and commitments to what a hero of mine and yours, Dr. Gorka, the philosopher Russell Kirk, would have referred to as the permanent things, qualities and virtues that echo from across the ages.
that bind us together in civilization, even as the particulars of our politics may differ.
We've lost that deeper language of ethical and wisdom-based commonality that really is the structure that allows for civilization to endure.
And part of our work at Braver Angels is trying to create the context for us to recultivate some of that deeper common ground.
All right, so I have a big question for you on why we've lost that understanding of the permanent things.
But I interrupted you, so let's go back to your diagnosis for where we are now as a society.
There are a lot of things that bring us to this particular moment.
One thing I think I want to stress in this moment, Dr. Gorka, for your listeners, Is the consequences of our having become, in the modern age, so engrossed in the material realities of things that we have sought to fill, I think, spiritual voids with the sort of solace that we vainly seek from politics, from ideology,
And sometimes through a sort of approach to masculinity that in the absence of a of an understanding of virtue in an absence of what it means to be a self-controlled individual, a person who is not led by his passions, but is the master of his passions and his emotional energy.
And in an age where masculinity is oftentimes put on trial, we oftentimes try to substitute that with an approach to manhood, which is about leaning into the ego, sort of the mythology of the alpha male without the self-control of the real man, right?
And so, in the absence of an understanding of virtue, in an absence of an embrace of the spiritual, the transcended, our religion becomes hollow, our politics become religion, and the void that ought to be filled with deeper things, we try to satisfy with the superficial and the material.
And so that leaves us vulnerable to all sorts of ideological uprisings and all sorts of ways of trying to find meaning in life that just don't quite fit the bill.
Our faith has become so shallow, Dr. Gorka, and so too, therefore, has our understanding of each other as Americans and what it means to be a man in the modern world.
So let me, maybe this is, you know, debating the number of angels that can dance on the head of a pin, but I'm curious how you see this aspect of the diagnosis.
Is this malaise we are in More a function of ignorance.
I can't imagine how many people in the 330 million in America are familiar with the founding civilizational works of Plato, Aristotle, or even the historians that created the modern historic concept, whether it's Thucydides or others.
Is it ignorance of permanent things, or is it more those who are ideologically committed
to the denial of objective truth?
Or is it just both?
Well, yeah, no, I think it is both, and I think one opens up the space for the other.
I think that if you go back in time, you will find that we have lost our capacity to speak
in terms of virtue, and that that's a process that began a long time ago.
I think that without taking you all the way back to sort of the journey from antiquity to the Middle Ages to the founding of the country and so forth, It used to be that Aristotle was a wellspring for our understanding of virtue in the Western world.
Aristotle was a person who reflected on what it meant to sort of embody courage, wisdom, and justice in these things.
He also had certain scientific and biological notions that were replaced by Darwinism in sort of a simple way.
of putting it.
As the scientific revolution picked up speed, some of those classical conceptions of biological reality were considered outdated and put aside.
But we threw the baby out with the bathwater because whether Aristotle was right in all of his understandings of how the physical body worked, he had a much deeper understanding of how the soul works than what the scientific revolution was able to sort of hold on to.
And that loss of sort of But again, we lose ancient truth.
virtue I think sort of is accelerated through modern times.
We look for wisdom, information, and in data and so forth, right? But
again, we lose ancient truth. And so the more we lose ancient truth, the more
modern society tries to replace that.
There's so much more to discuss.
I've made a long list of questions I have to ask you.
Just this one observation.
We don't even talk about virtue.
Who talks?
About virtue today.
Incredible, incredible observations.

He's got a father who's in prison and he knows his father exists, is in prison.
But he also has a father up in heaven.
That's what that young boy learnt at this Christ-centric summer camp.
Over a million children have lost a parent to the penal system.
And they're incredibly vulnerable.
More than 70% of them will end up incarcerated themselves.
We want to break that cycle.
We want to show them love.

We have the perfect guest, the ambassador of the Braver Angels organization, John Wood Jr.
John, you mentioned science taking over the concepts of virtue, man's ego getting in the way, denying the existence of an external truth.
I'm going to make a little diagnosis myself.
Tell me who I'm leaving out.
I think the toxic concatenation of Darwin, Marx, the misinterpretation of Hegel, these three together.
Oh, sorry, one more.
Freud, these four individuals have done the most to denude us of that concept of permanent things, virtue, the values our civilization is founded on.
Do you concur with me?
Have I left anybody out?
Who bears responsibility?
Well, I'm highly sympathetic to what you've just articulated there, Sebastian, because with each of those individuals there is advanced a materialistic understanding of the world.
There might be based in some reality, but hollows out the spiritual content of reality.
So there may be legitimacy to the idea of evolution.
There may be legitimacy to the idea that there are class dynamics in society.
There may be legitimacy in the practice of psychology, but each of these hollows out our capacity to understand courage, wisdom, agape love, and faith as the things that give dimension to human existence.
But the biggest culprit though, Sebastian, and I believe that I'm in line with the wisdom of the ancients in saying this, always has to be the man in the mirror.
At the end of the day, We do have to take responsibility.
And of course, you and I can't take responsibility for antiquity, but except that we are in a line of inheritance from the greater sources of wisdom.
People of faith who believe in the transcendence and the power of the Spirit and the language of virtue began to cede ground to the sort of innovative materialist explanations for the order, for the workings of the world and society a long time ago.
We ourselves lost faith in faith.
We ourselves, in many respects, lost faith in the anchoring power of religious tradition and ancient wisdom to be able to supply meaning and direction to mankind in the context of modernity.
I would argue that we ourselves, who are part of a larger philosophical conservative tradition, distinct from conservative politics, related but distinct, lost confidence in the capacity of that sort of conservatism to provide answers to human beings.
an increasingly complicated world.
And so part of the reason I value this conversation, Dr. Gorka, and my relationship with you is because it gives us an opportunity to begin to revisit some of the deeper roots of that orientation, such that we don't just find ourselves pointing the finger of blame at Marxists and materialists and all of this other Parties, but that we actually get reacquainted with the power that the traditions that we believe in still have to provide answers to questions that many people need but don't even think to ask.
I always say this in a far more prosaic fashion when it comes to politics, when people say, are we going to win?
And is President Trump going to win?
This is a conservative radio show.
And I always throw it back at whoever asks that of me.
And I said, what are you doing about it?
I mean, your far more eloquent phrase, the man in the mirror.
I don't want to, like, cast responsibility aside for the individual.
But how much of the responsibility for where we are today is also the lack of fortitude from our church leaders, John?
That is a significant part of it.
You know, it's funny, because I think that there are a couple of ways in which ministerial leaders can go wrong.
One way in which ministerial leaders can go wrong is to politicize the pulpit in a way that allows for the church to lose its sense of responsibility from ministering to the challenges facing the human soul, right?
I mean, politics and religion are not the same thing.
At the same time, religion and ministerial leadership Needs to hold the ground for a higher truth in a way that is willing to speak truth to power when the state goes too far, or when the status quo of the government and political society begins to infringe upon the basic human dignity of the people as the state is want to do.
And so in those moments where the church can go wrong is by folding into a place of comfort and complacency, pretending to be sort of decoration on the culture of human society, rather than holding the deep sort of moral ground upon which civilization has to stand.
So I do think that our ministerial leadership in this country oftentimes errs in each direction and fails to find that golden mean.

John, I know you assiduously maintain a neutrality politically.
Your organization, Braver Angels, is trying to bring people together from different groups across the nation to find common ground.
But let me ask you, in a political sense, What we've witnessed with either that kid in Harlem, with that black professor in that Chick-fil-A, going up to President Trump in front of the camera saying, I don't care what the press says about you, I love you, and then he says, come on in and give me a hug, whether it's a hundred thousand people in New Jersey, not exactly Magalan, going to a rally.
Let me ask you, not in a political sense, but in a social sense, in a sense of the things we care about, virtue, truth, justice, is something Shifting in America today, are you seeing some movement to an identity that goes beyond politics perhaps?
Well, it's an interesting question.
Now let me preface this by saying that, you know, people can find my own Commentary related to President Trump in different places in my USA Today column, etc.
But one virtue I think I'll identify in President Trump that I think does stand as an indictment of sorts of the larger political establishment in America, right and left, Democrat and Republican, is for all of his For all of his great wealth and his very much financially elite background, Donald Trump does have a way of relating to people where they are at, ordinary people, sort of where they are at.
He has a way of sort of channeling that sort of, you know, boy from, boy from Queens kind
of, kind of energy, which I think allows a lot of people, including people of different
colors and different generations in different parts of the country, to see themselves in
him.
And the reason it's important to acknowledge that is because of the fact that so much of
our culture of leadership in America has come from maintaining sort of that elite ivory
tower detachment from the experience of common people.
Right.
And if and yet that is viscerally at odds with our origins, values and virtues as a nation.
George Washington was a man who, by virtue of his rank of birth, would not have been able to be more than a major in the British Army.
But by virtue of merit, he led a scrappy colonial army to defeat and cast out the greatest military force in the known world at the time, in the form of the British Empire, because he was not constrained by those artificial constructs.
The point here is simply being that One of the greater parts of virtue is being able to relate to people on the basis of their true value, their true merit, regardless of the external sort of trappings or circumstances of their birth, and to be able to love people through those divides.
Interesting thing about Donald Trump, and again, people can see my writings about Donald Trump, I myself have had what I hope to be a fair amount of constructive criticism towards Trump, but I will say that Donald Trump, interesting thing about him, he uses the word love more than just about any politician I can remember.
What does that say to you?
Well, you know, Trump has managed to establish, I think, a strong connection with many Americans who have felt unloved by the powers that be in this country, right?
Now, some people will say that that connection is authentic and sincere.
Others will say that it's cynical and political.
But what it shows me is that on balance, even if you think Donald Trump is a fraud and all that, he could only have succeeded in the absence of genuine connection with the American people that existed between the American people and at least most of our leadership class.
And so, again, part of the virtue that we have to rehabilitate in America today is a genuine and powerful sense of love that allows us to connect with each other directly as human beings.
And whatever Donald Trump's faults and failings may be, the reason that Chick-fil-A clip is powerful is because it at least seems to be the case.
That you're seeing that sort of a connection in the moment.
Hold that thought.

John, you, of course, because you can just rattle these off the top of your head at the beginning of the hour, you talked about the permanent things, the virtues, honor, integrity, courage, commitment to freedom, commitment to justice, not social justice, but True justice.
One of the things that I think should inform any man in the way they behave is what we heard from President Trump there.
The concept of sacrifice, service to that which is greater than the individual, that exists permanently outside the individual.
I told this story earlier today.
I was at a celebration on Saturday with a friend of my wife's whose both of her sons have just graduated VMI.
And they're going into the military, one of them.
The other one is becoming a nuclear engineer for the Navy.
And I'm thinking, oh my gosh, my faith in humanity is restored that these 20-something young kids are deciding to serve something external to themselves.
Can you dwell for a moment on this concept of sacrifice and why it must be so central to a man's concept of virtue?
You know, I've been recently, and so you and I, Sebastian, you know, we've talked a fair amount in the time we've known each other about Russell Kirk and Martin Luther King and, of course, other figures.
But I've been reading more recently the biography of Dr. King by the historian David Garrow, which is called Bearing the Cross, talking about the ultimate symbol of sacrifice, of course.
There's an interesting scene in that biography where Dr. King is sitting up in the upper room of his home and he calls his wife Coretta to him because John Kennedy, the news has come across, has just been shot.
And Dr. King, who did use the term social justice, although I think maybe meant it a little bit differently than some other employee.
But Dr. King, he held Coretta's hand and he said, he said, God, I, he said, I hope he, he said, I hope he pulls through this talking about John Kennedy and how terrible the moment was.
And he said, if he does, he says, I imagine he'll understand a bit better what, what some of us are going through.
I'm talking about African Americans, of course, in the country.
But when the news came across that Kennedy died, King hung, King hung his head.
And he said, he said, this is what will happen to me one day.
He says this is what happens in a sick society.
In each of King's marches, he set out willing to go to jail and willing to be killed, expecting to be imprisoned and expecting to be killed.
And of course, he was killed one day, just as, of course, Jesus of Nazareth was killed bearing the cross.
But I think that part of the virtue and power of faith is an understanding that the true satisfaction of life is not in living your life like a consumer, but in giving your life in sacrifice.
It doesn't mean that you have to be martyred necessarily.
It doesn't mean that you have to die young or even be imprisoned.
It just means that life itself is worthless if it's not invested in something greater than just the simple act of breathing.
I think.
Yeah.
Can you expand upon the concept of sacrifice, not in and of itself for the purpose of suffering, but why it leads to something else?
It's service to a greater truth.
Right, right.
Yes.
Well, part of what the Bible teaches, and what King taught too, is that Noble suffering is redemptive, right?
Blessed are those who are persecuted for my sake, right?
It is something that allows us to give meaning to our actions in a way that tills the soil around us for the sort of world that we want to see.
And so when Patrick Henry said that the Tree of Liberty must be It must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and martyrs.
That is a recognition of the fact that certain truths have to be defended, whether they're on the battlefield or on the Edmund Pettus Bridge, ultimately.
But a life that is spent just consuming things, a life that is spent just enjoying the comforts of life without ever pushing yourself to take a stand for the things that make Comfort in life possible, that is to say again, freedom, justice, the edifice of our constitution in this society and the deeper wisdom of the religious traditions that finds itself under threat from time to time by the powers of the state and soulless ideologies.
Without exercising yourself in defense of these things, you'll never truly know what it is to be alive.
Without sacrificing yourself on behalf of a higher cause, I'm just not sure how better to say it, Sebastian, without sacrificing yourself in some form or fashion on behalf of a higher cause, You'll never get a deeper knowledge of what it truly is to be a man and what it truly is to be male or female, to be a human being living out your greater potential as a child of God.
Hold that, hold that, hold that.

Where should they begin?
If they haven't been schooled in the classics of the Kirkian or the ancient Greek, and if picking up the Bible and diving in may be too difficult without somebody to guide them, what advice would you give somebody who's looking to educate themselves on the permanent things?

I would recommend that.
I've got a book right here, it's a bit of a raggedy looking copy, but it is by a theologian named Erasmus, who's a peer of Martin Luther's.

Or at least the misinterpretations of Machiavelli.
And then a treatment of hope on Martin Luther King.
But I love this.

Sit down and talk to your grandfather.
My grandfather was seminal in my understanding of what a man is.
God bless you, John Wood Jr.
