	I started making a little list, trying to diagram it out.

	It's really complicated.
	But we need to understand what was done by the Obama administration.
	By Biden, by Brennan, by Comey, by Clapper.
	Because they're going to do it again.
	They're trying to do it again.
	So the names, I think I'm going to have to write this all down in an article, but the names that you must be familiar with Of the people who persecuted the good guys.
	Now who are the good guys?
	Who are the targets?
	President Trump.
	Michael Flynn.
	Carter Page.
	Paul Manafort.
	George Papadopoulos.
	And then others who wanted to find out the truth and were also targeted.
	Like Devin Nunes.
	Like our friend Kash Patel.
	But what was the scheme?
	How does it all begin?
	It seems it begins much earlier than we thought.
	There was a Russian agent, an intelligence officer, working at a DC think tank.
	He was known by the Feds to be an asset of the SVR, of the new version of the KGB.
	And he's sitting in Washington, D.C., and he's the source.
	His name is Danchenko.
	He's the source of accusations, fallacious, fabricated accusations, against the businessman Donald Trump.
	These accusations that are cut from whole cloth, that will be proven to be utterly unfounded, I mean, when you say that President Trump's attorney, Michael Cohen, is in Prague, when he's not, he's in America, you know the depth of the lies.
	I mean, just literally cut from whole cloth.
	Doesn't matter.
	There's a former MI6 spy called Christopher Steele, an individual who has admitted under oath in a British court that he despises Donald Trump.
	He hates him.
	And he was hired by the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and the DNC To compile what has become known as the Steele dossier.
	My friend Dan Bongina calls it the pee-pee hoax dossier because of the absurd outre and perverse accusations in the dossier which likewise were completely made up about President Trump cavorting in hotels in Moscow.
	Never happened.
	But he's paid a cool twelve million dollars for a smear dossier.
	A smear dossier that will be pumped around Washington DC by a company called Fusion GPS, run by, what shall we call him, a political operative, Glenn Simpson.
	And this smear dossier is funneled to everyone they can push it to.
	Most of the mainstream media don't even touch it.
	One gutter website will eventually.
	And a senator will, as well, pedal it.
	The late John McCain.
	Someone who, like Christopher Steele, hated Donald Trump.
	Now, if it ended there, OK, we'd say, you know, politics is dirty business and smear campaigns are pretty par for the course.
	This one, a little bit more rank.
	Why?
	Because it's not just some smear campaign made up by a strategist, a Democrat operative in the swamp.
	It's actually done in collusion with the Russians.
	Remember that word, collusion, that we've heard for so long?
	Yeah, an SVR, former KGB agent, who's now working for the new version of the KGB, sitting in Washington DC, is the source of the disinformation used to smear candidate Mr. Trump.
	Danchenko wasn't some political operative working for the DNC.
	He was on the payroll of the Kremlin.
	And that man was colluding with the DNC, with Hillary, with American companies like Fusion GPS?
	American Senators?
	Like John McCain?
	That's where the story begins.
	The Steele dossier.
	But there are antecedents to its creation.
	And then there is the next part of the puzzle.
	It's called Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
	And there's never been anything like it since America became a republic.
	Three intelligence services working against a presidential candidate, and then a president-elect, and then a president.

	It was Obama in 2016 who authorized Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
	It was Obama who had been told, this is now declassified, Vincent, by his own director
	of the FBI, Jim Comey, by his own CIA director, John Brennan, that the Smear dossier came
	from Hillary and he wasn't to believe it, that it wasn't real.
	Nevertheless, he authorized the NSA, the CIA, and the FBI to target President Trump.
	I'm going to continue to unpack it, how they used the Steele dossier, and most important
	of all, concerning the recent revelations, how they leveraged and exploited our foreign
	intelligence liaison services, meaning MI6, meaning the spy agencies of Australia, of
	Italy, to do what?
	Target US nationals abroad because they had no evidence and it would have been illegal for the FBI or the CIA to do it.
	So they used foreign spy agencies.

	Yes, we have to keep talking about this because this is the biggest scandal in our lifetimes when it comes to American politics.
	Let's go to William Westchester, line three.

	Well, my question is, do you think, based on the recent decision in New York for slander against President Trump, on the same legal basis, He has grounds on which to sue all of the intelligence people and everybody who has been publicly identifying him as a threat to democracy.
	Can he sue their butts off?
	Well, look, there's a big problem with that.
	Number one, you'd have to have a court that was fair and a jury pool that was fair.
	In New York, you've got, you know, the majority of that pool refused to admit during the jury screening what news agencies and what magazines and newspapers and websites they read.
	So you knew they were all Democrats.
	On top of that, we have the Sullivan vs. New York Times decision from the Supreme Court in 1972, William.
	Which is the real stumbling block.
	That piece of garbage law states that a public figure to win a libel action or defamation action has to prove not only that the facts stated about him by another person, by a newspaper, by a journalist are false, But the person publishing them or saying them at the time, William, knew they were false.
	So you have to have some kind of magic wand, some kind of Vulcan mind meld that provides evidence that the person saying the things at the time knew them to be false.
	That is the standard for public figures.
	Of course, E.G.
	Carroll wasn't a public figure like President Trump.
	And on top of that, sorry, third factor, William, there is such an incredible level of executive
	immunity for those who work for federal government.
	That has to be reexamined by federal law, by the Supreme Court as well.
	So William, no, I don't think the victory is going to come from court cases fought in
	Democrat strongholds.
	We just need to get President Trump back in the White House.
	It's that simple.
	Then the good guys, the Devin Nuneses, the Kash Patels of the world, can sweep the corruption out of our agency.
	So it's up to us to first get him re-elected.

	So just stay tuned, Judy, because right now, and some people are saying that's why all of this news is swirling around the swamp right now, the debate is up for the extension of the FISA court authorization.

	A city statement said, moving forward, Chicago will deploy its resources on the most effective strategies and tactics proven to accelerate the current downward trend in violent crime.

	I said, you didn't pay?

	When we came into the White House, more than 60% of NATO was being backed up by our money because they didn't pay up.
	After President Trump was president, that shrank to less than a third.
	What's wrong with what the president said, Congressman?
	Hey, look, you know what he's fighting for?
	He's fighting for the American taxpayer to stop subsidizing European security.
	NATO was incredibly successful during the Cold War.
	Very successful alliance.
	But here's the deal.
	Only seven of the 31 members actually contribute the minimum that they committed to back in 2014, a decade ago.
	which is 2% of their defense budget.
	And the big economies like Germany, like France, like Italy are way below that.
	The ones that do contribute are, I don't know, the ones on the front line like Lithuania, Latvia,
	the Baltics, Poland's contributing now 4%.
	So just like Seth, and I know you are close to this, we had in Afghanistan with NATO in Afghanistan,
	you got your fighting allies, what Rumsfeld called New Europe,
	the ones who actually get it and contribute to their national defense.
	And then you have your not so much allies like Germany and Spain and France.
	And I'm tired of them freeloading.
	This is a good deal for European politicians, They can unload all they want into their social programs because they know Uncle Sugar, Uncle Sam, is going to be there to carry their weight.
	And here's the final thing I'll leave you with.
	This year will be the first year in American history the interest on our debt is exceeding our entire defense budget.
	Just the interest.
	So aside from the rightness and wrongness of it, we literally can't afford it anymore.
	And you know who's smiling right now?
	Xi Jinping over in China as he triples his nuclear arsenal, has a navy that's bigger than ours, is threatening the entire Pacific and openly talking about replacing us.
	as he steals our technology.
	So enough is enough.
	And thank God President Trump's gonna put his foot down.
	And by the way, the four years you guys were there was the only time that they actually,
	it was still not enough, but it actually started to increase
	because he knows how to cut a deal.
	Yeah, more than $10 billion worth of increase in commitments from our allies
	because of that out of the deal attitude from the former commanding chief
	who we need back in the White House.
	It's up to us, God willing.

	We don't see how economically dependent we are of what's up in space.

	You cannot, as an elected official, have foreign entities pay your relatives and then your
	relatives pay your bills.
	That's laundering the money, number one. Number two, they didn't pay taxes on it because they
	called it loans. Classic money laundering technique. Number three, it's a violation of FARA.
	Clearly he had family members acting as foreign agents in which he was complicit.
	And then this is the piece that nobody else is, that I don't think anybody's paying enough
	attention to.
	You have the National Archives send us a letter that said the White House told them not to release the emails from Joe Biden's fake accounts, where he was emailing around to.
	So that, to me, on top of what's happened with IRS whistleblowers, is obstruction of justice.
	There are multiple crimes at hand here.
	We're going to keep following the evidence.
	We're going to lay it all out.
	And, you know, I think eventually you're going to see a move to impeach.

	So let's find out what we need to know about Obamagate with our good friend, investigative journalist extraordinaire Lee Smith.

	I decided to try.
	I had no guests in the first hour.
	I took callers and I said I'm going to try and do a public service and try and just do a kind of 101 on Obamagate and you'll tell me in a second if that's the wrong label for it and I just made some notes to open the show and it's like this Squirrels, you know, crazy squirrels in a bird nest, you know, like all the names from Steele to Orr to Page to Brennan to Gina Haspel to Robert Mueller.
	And it's like, it's so convoluted.
	Then we have a new, not a data dump in the last few days, but a kind of rediscovery of a story that you and the likes of Bongino and Solomon have been excavating for years.
	So I want us Together, in this second hour that we have, to remind everybody of the shape of the scandal and what really matters and what questions still have to be answered.
	Let's start with this.
	The book is The Plot Against the President, or The Permanent Coup.
	What is the best shorthand for this?
	I call it Obamagate because I believe, as Dan does, this isn't about Biden, this is about Obama who authorized Crossfire Hurricane.
	Is there a better description than Obamagate, Lee?
	No, I think that's a very good one.
	And one of the things that that does, I mean, rather than Something that Russiagate and Spygate don't do, which is that this leaves it at the feet of Barack Obama.
	And of course, that's where it is, because as you know, there were his intelligence chiefs, James Comey, number one, Andrew McCabe, the deputy FBI director, and then, of course, John Brennan's involvement at the CIA.
	So these were all Obama's guys.
	James Clapper, of course.
	They were the ones who were running the show, even though it was a Clinton campaign dirty trick.
	And that was definitely Barack Obama.
	Hillary Clinton had no control over it at that time.
	GPS, the Washington, D.C., OPPO research firm.
	But you're right.
	And then, of course, after the campaign, after the election and Donald Trump won, it continued
	and moved into its next leg.
	And that was definitely Barack Obama.
	Hillary Clinton had no control over it at that time.
	It was Obama who called for the intelligence community assessment.
	It was Obama who set up a whole bunch of different things.
	And again, Obama's spy chiefs.
	So I think calling it Obamagate is, I think Obamagate is a very good way to describe it,
	aside from it may therefore get confused with a whole bunch.
	you to other Obama scandals that were told not to pay attention
	to while Barack Obama was president of the United States. Remember he was the cleanest
	for the cleanest scandal free administration. The scandal free from lowest learner to
	Obama. And the aspect that has been revivified and reheated that we knew already but have we
	paid enough attention to what the focus has been on in the last couple of days which is they knew
	they couldn't spy legally on American citizens.
	So Brennan, along with fake FBI agents, along with Stefan Halper, along with others, Use our liaison services, which is the technical term for foreign intelligence agencies that are our friends.
	So this is a big deal, isn't it?
	That MI5, Australian intelligence, the Italians are basically the kind of contractors for Obama's CIA.
	Well, I mean, this was one of the things that that I believe was first Uh, was first talked about, and I think 2017, whether the FBI and CIA had outsourced spying to, you know, to the Brits, GCHQ, especially electronic surveillance.
	And I'm not sure that's the case.
	That was one of the things that John Brennan said, that John Brennan claimed they were getting intelligence from foreign services.
	And of course, there was no intelligence about Trump and his aides and the Russians.
	None of that really existed.
	It was all fake.
	Everything was made up by the Clintons.
	So did the CIA ask the Brits to spy on Trump and the Trump circle?
	It's unclear.
	We really don't have enough information that we know that foreigners who were at one time affiliated with intelligence services played a big role.
	And this include number one, of course, Christopher Steele, the former MI6 officer.
	So he was involved.
	But we're, you know, and we believe Joseph Mifsud, the mysterious Maltese professor, may have had connection with Western services.
	I wrote about that several years ago, and it's quite possible, but I know that this is something the House Intelligence Committee was looking into.
	They never found, they never got answers for their very important question.
	All right.
	I believe John Durham was looking into it as well.
	I was just going to say, Durham was looking into it well.

	If we say Obama's the man responsible at the beginning for authorizing the surveillance of President Trump, for authorizing the surveillance of candidate Trump, why are we wasting our time trying to subpoena Hunter Biden, trying to potentially impeach Joe Biden?
	What should the good guys on Capitol Hill really be doing, Lee?
	Well, I mean, one of the things that one of the things they could be asking for that they should be asking for the release of those different documents that Donald Trump declassified before he before he left office.
	Right.
	I mean, that's certainly one of the things, you know, this is caught up.
	This is part of the this is part of the Mar-a-Lago, maybe part of the Mar-a-Lago raid.
	But it's, you know, I mean, this is these documents are at the heart of Russiagate.
	So that's one of the things that they could be asking for.
	I mean, you know, God bless Congressman Jackson, Dr. Jackson, great guy.
	But I'm watching that clip you have and I'm kind of laughing.
	I'm like, I don't know.
	Do we do we really need a physician to to find out whether or not Joe Biden is is is cognitively there?
	I think that.
	Everyone has been pretty aware of that and we didn't need Joe Biden's DOJ to tell us either.
	I mean, you know, so I think there's a lot of, there's a lot of important, a lot of important drama on Capitol Hill.
	Some of it's less important, but there are different cases that people can be making.
	Something just came to me, something super obvious.
	Why have we not subpoenaed Brennan, Clapper, Stephen Halper, who's a U.S.
	citizen.
	Why have none of these people been subpoenaed?
	Well, we know why they're not going to let Stefan Halper go.
	They're not going to let Halper go because he's a confidential human source, right?
	So, oh no, we're protecting our intelligence community.
	We have to protect it.
	Look, but one of the people they should absolutely put on the spot is Gina Haspel.
	I mean, why not bring in Gina Haspel?
	That's certainly someone they should be finding out what's going on, and who knows?
	I tend to think she would not be cooperative, but maybe she'd turn out to be cooperative and talk to people on the Hill, talk to Republican senators, talk to Republican congressmen, and get some sort of sense of what Russiagate looked like.
	Russiagate, I know.
	We are now in the timeline with 10 million people having crossed our border, right, with the Biden administration throwing billions away in a proxy war on Russia's border after the 2020 election, after COVID mandates.
	I know that Russiagate actually may not be the biggest political scandal in U.S.
	history anymore, but it's still very important.
	It's crucial to understand because Russiagate It is the template.
	Not only is it the template, and it can be used again, and probably is being used right now.

	We're back with Lee Smith, the author of The Plot Against the President and Permanent Coup, the first turned into a superb movie by Amanda Milius.
	Lee, there's so many names, so many names.
	One of them, however, Seems more important than anyone, perhaps outside of John Brennan.
	And that's his acolyte, the person who probably made things possible as chief of station in London.
	And then as his replacement, or you know, his the CIA director herself, explain the significance in Obamagate of Gina Haspel.
	Well, Gina Haspel, You're absolutely right.
	It's very important.
	She was the chief of station in London, and that's one of the key CIA posts.
	You're working with MI6.
	Everyone loves MI6.
	Apparently, it's just a great setup over there, and you're running a lot of the European, if not all of the European operations, my understanding.
	But this is where they ran the FBI.
	I ran a large part of Russiagate out of, or Obamagate if you will, and this is where different agents came and a lot of the setups happened.
	This is where Alexander Downer, the Australian diplomat, whose tip ostensibly started the
	investigation.
	That's a fake cover story.
	But again, the FBI was moving in and out of London a lot.
	And to move in and out of London, they have to contact the top person, the top intelligence
	person at that embassy, and that was Gina Haspel at the time.
	So Haspel must have known what was going on with the FBI, what the FBI was doing, how the FBI was working against the Donald Trump circle.
	So that's one.
	That's on the first end.
	The second end is, as she replaced John Brennan—well, first there was Mike Pompeo, but I She replaced Mike Pompeo.
	She came in and she held on to different documents that the House Intelligence Committee and others wanted to see.
	She fought them tooth and nail for this.
	And you'll remember at a certain point when Trump wanted to get Kash Patel in there to deal with certain issues, to declassify certain documents, Haspel threatened to resign.
	So Haspel was extremely, more than uncooperative.
	It appears that she was working for the other side to protect this information from getting out and to preserve—to save rogue actors in the Intelligence Committee rather than serve the president and rather than serve the country.
	So, yeah, she was a hugely influential—and by influential, I mean destructive—figure in Obamagate.
	She's a very big, very big figure, and we don't know enough about her.
	And the question is, of course, what's she protecting?
	Because if it was evidence of true Russian collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, then, of course, why would she hide it?
	Oh, look, here we have the evidence.
	If there's no evidence, if it's actually proof that it's manufactured and artificial, then she would have a vested interest to protect that information from ever being disclosed.
	Let's flip to those outside government who are colluding with the deep state.
	What is the significance of the man running Fusion GPS, the opposition research company, Glenn Simpson?
	Well, he was very important, not just in Russiagate, Seb, but the way I see it, he really has He really represents the collapse of the media.
	You and I have talked before about how the press has always been liberal, if not left-wing.
	But with Glenn Simpson, we saw something else.
	We saw the media become part of an intelligence operation.
	And Simpson had worked at The Wall Street Journal.
	He was a legitimate journalist before.
	He'd worked at other places.
	But when he came on with Fusion GPS, he became an intermediary for the intelligence community, for a political campaign with the press.
	So this to me was really crucial.
	And I hope that people pay more attention to the role that Glenn Simpson played, again, not just in Russiagate, but how he represents the collapse of the American press.
	And it's such an important institution.
	And right now we're living in its ruins.
	I mean, as many criticisms as we've all had with the New York Times and Washington Post, Over the course of these two papers' existence, I mean, what they're like now over the last 15 years is nothing like what they were 20, 25 years ago.
	They're hugely destructive, hugely destructive instruments used by the intelligence community.
	I mean, they're platforms for information operations.
	That's all they are.
	And Simpson represents the transformation of how that came to pass.
	And one of the people working for him is Nellie Orr, who is their chief Russia expert.
	And who is Nellie Orr's husbandly Yeah, Nellie Orr's husband is a DOJ official named Bruce Orr, and they were both involved.
	Nellie Orr worked for Glenn Simpson.
	Bruce Orr, her husband, the DOJ official, was in touch with Glenn Simpson, as well as with Christopher Steele.
	So he, too, was an intermediary.
	And Seb, I'm glad you brought up the Orrs, because they're really crucial to understand, because that's how we really understand the origins of Russiagate.
	The way that I see it, the origins of Russiagate are not in Europe.
	They're not with European intelligence services.
	They're not with the Brits.
	They're not with the Italians.
	They're at Fusion GPS and with the FBI.
	This was a Clinton operation, a joint Clinton-FBI operation.
	It was an LER who wrote that thing.
	They had so many avatars here, right?
	So many cutouts and buffers as what is it Don Cheech says in the, Don Cheech says in the
	in the Godfather when Michael Corleone, when Michael Corleone is supposed to be testifying.
	There were cutouts and buffers, right?
	The fundamental work was done by Nellie Orr forging all of this fake information about Donald Trump and Russia.
	They gave it to Danchenko.
	They gave it to Steele as avatars.
	And I'll never forget the day that I bumped into both Bruce and Nellie Orr at the local grocery store.
	And I told them what I thought of them.

	predicated on getting back the Russia gate Obama gate
	Declassified documents and deep-sixing them or shredding them. We don't have confirmation
	I think it's a very sound theory.
	What about the intelligence community assessment that also is floating around?
	Because that's another binder.
	Could you explain what that is?
	Yeah, right.
	There are two different things.
	The first thing that you were talking about is the A binder of declassified documents.
	I don't know, we call it a binder or whatever.
	Maybe it's just that it's so big it's a box.
	We don't know.
	But it was believed, and I wrote about this too, for Tablet in September 2022 after the Mar-a-Lago raid.
	It appears that there was reporting around the time, and there's been reporting since, that the FBI believed That Donald Trump may be holding on to the crossfire hurricane documents.
	You know, and I reported that some people believe that, and there's also some people, you know, close to, you know, close to the president who don't know if that's the case, and some doubt it's the case.
	But that I think is what we mean when we're talking about the binder, the Mar-a-Lago, let's call it the Mar-a-Lago binder, that Donald Trump may or may not have, that the FBI may We're likely looking for when they read in Mar-a-Lago.
	The other document or collection of documents that people are talking about is related to work that the House Intelligence Committee did investigating the intelligence community assessment.
	… that John Brennan produced in 2017, released in January 2017, and Devin Nunes calls this Obama's dossier.
	So that certainly fits into your name for the scandal, Obamagate, right?
	This was all these bogus allegations that Vladimir Putin really elected Donald Trump to the White House in the 2016 race, right?
	But that was all predicated on the intelligence community assessment, right?
	Yeah. And the House Intelligence Committee, run by Nunes at the time, said they went in there and
	they looked around and they said, no, this isn't right.
	These guys are not going, not doing right things with our intelligence. This is a bogus document.
	And I wrote about that in my book, The Permanent Coup, how they looked at the ICA, Intelligence Community Assessment.
	So that's the other thing that people are talking about right now.
	The work done by Nunes' committee on Brennan's work.

	I was.

	And it's only because my allergies do not get along with it.
	My sinuses were like, that's a cute idea.
	That's not going to work out for us, though.
	So you can just hang out and have a drink.
	Well, well, well, you did well.
	And we got to some rather philosophical discussions that weren't just gun-related, but are much
	deeper than that.
	There's a story I think Eric has the buffer for that we'll get to in a moment.
	But first things first, for those who missed our little six-minute chat last Friday, tell
	us you're talking to about three and a half million radio listeners, and there's all the
	video on Rumble, on OTT, the channels as well.
	Who is Braden Langley and what is the mission of Langley Outdoors Academy?
	I am a content creator that is a Second Amendment focused advocacy channel, and the way that we do that is a very simple mission statement.
	We're not only going to tell you what's going on in the gun world, but we're also going to tell you how we're going to fix it.
	And that ties into what we're about to talk about, because it's one thing to highlight what's going wrong. It's a completely
	different thing to say what are we going to do about it, right? And so what we do on my channel is we go
	through the breaking news of the gun world, we go through the tie-ins that are honestly pretty similar
	to other parts of the political world, and we make a complete delicious cake of freedom. And that's
	what we dish out every single day. And we'd love to have you on there. Anytime
	delicious cake of freedom.
	I like that.
	I think we have the title for this hour.
	Have a delicious cake of freedom.
	Let's start with, I think there's a subtle inference there, or supposition I want to be more explicit about.
	As you know, I've been doing this show for five years now, as of last month.
	I think we started the second amendment thing maybe in the second year so we have one guest
	a week.
	That's a lot of guests.
	That's hundreds of guests we've had.
	And a couple of them are big names.
	I hate the phrase content providers but you know they're in your world and I don't
	embarrass anybody but I've had a couple and one of them I've brought around to thinking
	the way we do.
	But another one who's one of the biggest names he said yeah I'll come on your show with one
	Express Proviso.
	I don't do politics.
	And my message to both of these individuals, one with whom it resonated and he's kind of come out of the closet, the first one who I think is, he's getting there.
	He's getting there.
	We can talk about who it is offline.
	As I said, gently, dear friend, if you are interested in firearms, If your livelihood is about talking about firearms, then by dint of that you are already doing politics.
	It's like, you know, Trotsky's alleged phrase, you may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.
	I think you're spot on.
	people who want to denude you of your Second Amendment rights, who think only
	the police and the military should have guns. Guns are already a political issue.
	Can you get, can I get your response to that warning I gave my guests? I think
	you're spot-on. I mean like you could not be more correct. I mean a lot of the time
	people will shy away from politics because it can lead to uncomfortable
	It can lead to emotional reactions with a lot of people.
	But to your point, if you're in the gun world and you like guns and you talk about guns a lot and you go to SHOT Show and you are making content on guns, boo, you have been in the political world for the two A's since you stepped in.
	You may not talk about it, but to your point, it talks about you a whole lot.
	And so, You can't really avoid it, so if we can't avoid something, we can either be defeated by it or we can adapt to it, and that's what we focus on, is adapt into it.
	Right.
	Alright, so tell us a little bit about your story, because there are... I don't want to, you know, hurt anybody's feelings, but there are definite categories or baskets of Second Amendment YouTubers or gun content providers.
	There are the guys that do the gun reviews.
	There are the guys that do the historical, like Ian McCallum and, you know, the Forgotten Weapons Channel.
	There are those that, you know, explicitly talk about the laws, that talk about, you know, the legal aspects, what the ATF is trying to do.
	And then there are the weirdos like Brandon Herrera who just have a wicked sense of humor and are a little bit perverse and do a gun and let's call it the infotainment.
	What is your channel and how did you start?
	Were you a political mind who got into guns or were you a geeky gun guy who said I'm going to do content?
	Walk us through the creation of the Langley Outdoors Academy.
	That was an amazing intro.
	But am I wrong about the big baskets?
	No, you're dead on.
	You're dead on.
	I was being serious and sincere.
	That is a completely accurate assessment of the environment of which I work in.
	So the way that I would put myself in a bucket, if I was going to put my bucket, I would say that I'm on the advocate side.
	I'm also on the political analysis side based off of news events.
	So like you said, there's There's sectors and segments within the gun world.
	You highlighted them really well.
	There's a specific area which is news-related, breaking events-related, and I would kind of fall in that broad bucket.
	Now, the differentiator that I've kind of carved myself out in that niche is, yeah, we're going to talk about those things, but what does it mean if you zoom out?
	What's the why behind it?
	What are we getting into from a standpoint of our rights?
	What are we getting to the Second Amendment?
	Hey, is there a way that the Second Amendment veterans who were in this fight for decades Can they apply those skills what we've learned in other areas of our rights, in other areas fighting the left?
	Because Newsflash, the left has the same playbook.
	They just choose where to apply it.
	It's not different per topic, right?
	So that's where I would put myself in.
	It's advocacy, it's analysis, and it's tying the entire, the entire Picture together right that freedom cake I alluded to or I
	like to say the tapestry of freedom It's all about the different threads of what we're talking
	about. They all go together to make something bigger, right?
	That's where I would put myself. It's trend. It's trend focused analysis and Second Amendment advocacy
	You use an interesting phrase there the Second Amendment veterans not the military veterans with the people who've
	been advocating for the Second Amendment We just like 30 seconds talk about them and also for
	example Their failures such as the NRA going from the most
	important civil rights entity in America to being just a scandal
	filled disaster How much do we need to have a bottom-up reformation of the 2A community?
	Oh, that's the key of what's happening right now.
	You are alluding to something that is happening.
	It has been happening.
	Biden really kicked it off.
	You had, prior to this, in the 2A veterancy, when I refer to that, it's the people who have been doing this for a long time, right?
	Not putting any dispersions on the individuals.
	Now, if you look at organizations, of course, the organizations can make mistakes.
	They're entities.
	They can make wrong decisions.
	And the NRA is one of those.
	They made a lot of wrong decisions, particularly around gun policy, right?
	But something that I say a lot, and the left makes this mistake, They focus on the NRA as all gun owners and all gun members.
	We can't do the exact same thing.
	So if you look at what's occurred, like in the past two to three years, as the NRA lost its really guiding light mission, what happened was different groups got decentralized and everyone has their own different level of endorsement.
	And you've got this ecosystem that's forming, whether you're talking about lawsuits from FPC, the Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America for the Advocacy, like all these groups, And that's actually what's happening.
	The grassroots are starting to drive upwards through the economic development of a under material and that's the That's something that a lot of people don't really see.
	All right, we've got to break that down because that's a really important observation, a really important trend line, that the grassroots changing the whole sector.

	I think you're right.
	You're in it.
	I'm kind of a little bit outside of it.
	I do a little bit of gun stuff on social media.
	I talk about it on the radio show like once a week.
	But I'm more a consumer than I am a content producer like you and your colleagues are that we met at SHOT Show at Braden.
	I see what you just identified.
	A kind of revolutionary reformation.
	of the whole gun sector in America, which is really organic.
	The NRA failed us for the last, I don't know, five years, ten years, whenever, you know, Wayne Lapierre started destroying it.
	As a result, all these little other organizations were created, Gun Owners of America, Firearms Policy Coalition, all these other groups started, really did the heavy lifting with court cases, with With advocacy.
	And then, on top of all of that, COVID hits, and I go to my local gun store in Virginia, and there's literally a line out the door, down the corridor, of people who've never handled a gun before, won a gun, feel it's important, they can't trust the state, understand that, you know, the Second Amendment isn't about white tails.
	And I think the latest figures are 40 million new gun owners since COVID hit.
	So can you slice for us how significant, let's say, the last five years are and what the so what of it is?
	What does it mean for those of us who believe in the Second Amendment?
	So what you're hitting on is something that we've seen, and a really good way to say it is a grassroots reformation from the ground upwards, right?
	One of the things that the left really likes to do is they like to castigate us as specific demographics.
	Oh, these people with their Bibles and their guns and they look like this and this.
	It's not like that anymore.
	The left has pushed it so hard.
	And to your point, 40 million guns have been bought.
	Just in the last two and three years and those demographic buckets that are buying them have never bought guns before.
	You're talking about minorities and women were the two biggest percentages by like 25 and 30 percent.
	These are massive numbers.
	And when you look at what that's doing to the gun community, it's only fueling the grassroots bottom level up because you're getting an infusion of people that have not been there prior.
	Now that is so incredibly important because as you look into every single movement, every single thing that has happened through history, the time that it goes from something that is maintaining to really popping is when different groups are injected into it, which is why you see left the left trying to malign anybody who would go near it and saying, Oh, don't do that.
	It's really scary.
	It's terrifying because they know that their lines of attack are not going to be effective anymore.
	And that's the big piece.
	And when you look at, The most beautiful part about this entire thing is what we're describing right now is piece by piece an economic model that is literally capitalism in the free market working the way that it's supposed to.
	The NRA, which was the dominant force at the top, was not providing the service which created demand.
	Smaller splinter groups started at the bottom level, started harnessing that demand, started growing, and then you now have a healthy undersystem.
	If you look at it as a forest, the undergrowth is coming up and the NRA is starting to die at the top and everything's coming up.
	The left just made us into a hydra.
	A good Hydra, this time it's a good Hydra.
	Is our community, the established community, you, the, you know, we call the veterans,
	the new guys, me, is our broader community capable of absorbing these new members to
	the family?
	Is there anything we should be doing more of?
	Because 30 million people is a lot of people to add to your family for Thanksgiving.
	That's a lot of tables.
	Yeah.
	Yeah, exactly.
	But don't worry, they can harvest their own now because they're newly acquired tools.
	Yeah, genuinely, I believe that the entire community is not only capable, but they are also ready to do it.
	There's a difference in this, and the best way that I can describe it is it's not top-down that's happening.
	This is from the ground up, and it's starting with creators on the social content level.
	I'm seeing more different types of people, different demographic buckets.
	More people are interested at the base level, at the bottom level, where the community demands are meeting exactly what the, you know, really the consumer demands are.
	Community and consumers are meeting and the companies are following it,
	which is the way that it should be doing.
	Prior, the companies tried to kind of steer where everything was going.
	Yes, yes, yes.
	They've effectively lost that control because we had too much of an influx.
	And I don't think it was a negative intent, but... No, no, it was just, you know, big corporations being big corporations.
	I want to put you on the spot here, and I don't know if they're an advertiser.
	We'll talk about the people you've got on the back there, Sonoran Desert Institute, which you told me are good guys, but I think the exemplar of a company, a big company, a successful company, that's responding to the people, not trying to drive their wants and desires, is Palmetto State.
	Would you agree?
	I would agree and the reason why I would agree is because they are fulfilling a business model that
	is essential. Now a lot of people can have their misgivings on PSA. I mean any group has any any
	company has their misgivings, their detractors. But when you look at what PSA is doing of taking a
	effectively their business model is pairing two things innovation with economies of scale.
	Right.
	So the more they purchase, the more that they can bring in, the lower the cost can go, more firearms are delivered to more people at lower price.
	That is literally economics.
	So now the people who will detract against that, oh, it's not the high end or this.
	Well, that's fine.
	And it's not for you.
	You're not the determined market.
	Congratulations.
	Great.

	You said something about Communicating effectively in politics in general, on narrative-based issues.
	And you also highlighted how it is to be really smart.
	Do we have that story, Eric, about the gun buyback?
	Do we have that?
	So here we have this story that I wasn't familiar with, where some state or locality decided they're going to have a big gun buyback program.
	And then a company said, oh, yeah, we'll help you dispose of those weapons.
	And instead they resold them as, you know, firearms parts kits.
	That's just bloody genius.
	Will you unpack why people don't think like that often enough and then this fascinating dichotomy between the Message of fear a la Biden standing outside of Liberty Hall bathed in red saying half the nation are MAGA terrorists and you know a message of hope if we go back to the golden escalator in Trump Tower and the make America great again.
	So can you talk about good communications and then outsmarting the people who hate the Second Amendment?
	Yeah.
	So now did preference.
	Do you want me to hit the buyback first?
	Or do you have an order reference or like any kind of desire?
	Your buyback is a good example of a super spot.
	Gotcha.
	Gotcha.
	So this was a very interesting story in the Times.
	The New York Times got very, very mad about this, Sebastian.
	They were not pleased because in Michigan, one of their big claims to flame claims to fame is they we did all these buybacks.
	We've done buybacks here, buybacks there, buybacks everywhere.
	We're taking dangerous guns off the street.
	Well, A common sense solution.
	What are you going to do with those?
	Well, a company called Gun Busters said, Hey, we will take care of those and we will dispose of those for you.
	And the best part about this is this is the sweetness right here.
	They said to Michigan, Hey, Would you guys like us to destroy them in full for a fee, which would be putting them through a grinder and making them into nothing?
	Or would you like us to just destroy the firearm that is legally a firearm and that's what you want?
	We'll do that for free.
	So you got to explain what that means.
	Oh, I'm getting there.
	Oh, I'm getting there.
	I'm getting there.
	So Michigan said, well, the free option, of course, because there's no cost.
	It's obvious.
	We like gun buybacks.
	We don't like costs.
	So now what you're just alluding to, Per the ATF, the thing that is actually the gun is the actual receiver.
	Well, on all of these deadly weapons of war that they would claim exist, all you have to do is take off the barrel, take off the grip, take off the buttstock, take off the magazine, and then disassemble it completely.
	And the ATF, per federal regulations, that is the actual gun.
	It's serialized.
	So let's be clear here.
	On an AR-15, Everything, the trigger group, everything, the barrel, the gas system, everything is not a gun.
	And the only thing that counts as a gun is this hollow little thing which takes the magazine and the trigger group.
	That's it.
	That's the only thing you have to destroy.
	That's the quote-unquote firearms receiver.
	Correct.
	And that's, and that points to something that is so beautiful because the gun controllers, they don't understand that in general.
	And you can't really break that down.
	I mean, put yourself in the gun control perspective.
	If you're trying to talk about how to destroy guns or get rid of guns, are you going to spend all of your time talking about, well, this frame and receiver is actually the gun.
	Those other parts aren't.
	No, their marketing is going to be the least common denominator, which we're going to tie in in a second.
	So the company took those guns, disassembled them.
	Got rid of the frame or receiver and actually got rid of destroyed that piece and they sold the pieces that were not serialized, which are not the gun for millions of dollars of profit per year at the behest of gun buybacks.
	Well, New York Times, this was this was an atrocity among all atrocities, because this is now guns are becoming guns.
	And it's like, wow, it's almost like you guys didn't figure out or know what it was before you did it.
	Well, we'll save the fear versus a hope till the next segment.
	But let's just be clear here.
	Leftists wanted to disarm people.
	A company said, we'll help you do that.
	And then they made money selling off the parts of the guns to citizens in America legally who could then build their own weapons.
	Just bloody beautiful.

	Sorry, I asked two complicated questions right after another.
	So we have two very different political visions in the last decade in America.
	We have President Trump coming down the escalators, beaming, smiling, America's amazing, let's get it back to where it should be, you know, the Reagan-esque shining city on a hill.
	And then we've got, you know...
	Beijing Biden outside this incredibly historic building, one of the most important buildings
	in America, Liberty Hall, bathed in this fascistic red light, flanked by Marines in their dress
	uniform and literally labeling half the nation domestic terrorists.
	Fear, fear, fear, be afraid, be very afraid.
	Brayden, as we were sitting there in Vegas, or standing there at the bar for a long time, you kind of unpacked something that should be obvious but isn't.
	And I think isn't well understood by the good guys in America, especially the politicians, the few good guys that are on the right.
	Will you explain the dichotomy between those two tool sets and which one is more efficacious?
	Yeah, so this was one of my highlights of SHOT Show, as I mentioned in the introduction, because we had such a sparkling conversation amidst all, everything that was going on, but it was all based on two different motivating factors.
	You've got hope and you've got fear.
	So in the gun world, this is something that we do on my channel.
	I said in the introduction, I'll always tell you what's going on, but I'm also going to tell you what we're going to do about it.
	And that's a very important mindset switch because we are so conditioned on the gun world particularly.
	And then we can obviously back this out broad as well from politics to politics.
	But if you look at what we're told, we're told they're going to take our guns.
	They're going to take your guns.
	They're coming for your guns.
	You better do this because they're coming for your guns.
	And my simple question, or not really even a question, my real simple statement is, of course they are.
	They tell you they're going to.
	Why are you surprised?
	Why are you surprised?
	Biden said it on the campaign trail.
	Beto O'Rourke said it.
	Right.
	Of course they're going to.
	Why are we surprised by them doing what they say they're going to do?
	And that kind of unlocks something.
	It's clear what they're going to do.
	What are we going to do about it?
	And that's where the hope piece comes in.
	Because I could do a video segment saying, this is how they're going to screw you today.
	Make sure you watch this whole video and make sure you come back tomorrow when I tell you how they're going to screw you again tomorrow.
	That's not driving anything for the positive next generation or what we're doing.
	I don't want you to forget where you're going, but can I just ask, and there may be an obvious question.
	Why is it always the same, apart from what you do?
	I mean, almost everybody else, with the exceptions, who are our friends, it's always, they're coming after our guns!
	They're coming after our guns!
	And it's like, okay, so what?
	Why?
	Is it laziness?
	Is it just, it's easier to put, you know, our hair on fire?
	Why so much of the content, all this, they're coming for our guns, without the, okay, so what do we do about it?
	Because fear is a natural motivator for a short-term decision.
	Right?
	So if you look at our lizard brains, we respond to fear very, very well.
	Yeah.
	And that's just a natural, that's just, that's part of what we are.
	Right?
	But it's not a malicious intent to say, I want to keep you in a fear place.
	It's because the moment of what we're talking about is so crucial.
	You have to see this.
	They're going to do this.
	So you have to see this.
	That works to an extent, and this is kind of where we were going, the same track of our conversation.
	The one thing that supersedes any type of fear, any type of command is hope and a clear message where everyone is aligned, going in the same direction.
	You cannot overcome that once it's achieved.
	And you mentioned something, Trump's message is typically, Hey, let's make America great again.
	Or, Hey, you know what?
	Let's do that again.
	That was fun the first time, you know, whatever it would be.
	It's based on a determined outcome of positive for country, something that you love.
	Let's do this XYZ.
	The other side of that, like you said, Biden declared half the country scary, horrible people because they must be terrorists.
	Look at me.
	I'm in red.
	Look at the Marines behind me.
	And that's going to get a short-term reaction, but it's not going to deliver a long-term movement.
	We're chasing the movement, and that kind of goes back to what we were talking about.
	The grassroots, people aren't buying it.
	They're looking for something to follow behind or be part of leading it.
	And that's where the hope comes in because people will respond long-term to hope
	much more and much more effectively than fear in the short-term.
	You're not a politician, but I want to put you on the spot for a second
	because it's more than just saying nice things, and puppy dogs, and rainbows.
	When you're giving a vision of hope, What should be happening instead?
	Is it positive messages about concrete things?
	Is it action items?
	Give a little bit of a tip for that person who says, okay, yeah, yeah, Braden's making sense.
	Okay.
	The big thing is You have to understand in the fight that we're doing for our rights, whether the border matters to you, whether gun rights matter to you, whether X, Y, Z matters to you, everything that we need on our side is either written in the Constitution or is in the Bill of Rights.
	Everything that we need is right there.
	So then the only step that you have to do from there is look into the history of what progressivism has done, how they go about doing it, and then tie the dots together.
	Because that's what we're not watching a new movie.
	This is the this is A movie they've done for a hundred plus years, and they always do the exact same thing.
	They isolate everybody, they start turning people against each other, then they say, this bucket wants you to do this, so we need to take this bucket's things away.
	Oh, yours too.
	That's how they do it.
	So if you understand what they've done in the past, and you use your brain, and you learn from the knowledge that's there, you can get in front and know where they're going to go.
	Like for the gun control fight, specifically in my channel, We know where they're going to go because it's quite obvious.
	They can't stop at certain gun control efforts because then their money would dry up.
	Then their donations would dry up.
	They have to achieve gun control even though they can't.
	That's why they go through all of the things that they're going through.
	The Second Amendment is ironclad.
	The Constitution is ironclad.
	All the things that we are doing across the spectrum that have spawned a lot of it on the Second Amendment side, are coming to fruition. Supreme Court for example just took
	up Chevron deference.
	That is a massive deal because that takes the power out of the bureaucracies
	that are making the laws so Congress isn't accountable.
	Like all those things wouldn't be possible if people did not understand it and
	actually put pen to paper and brain to the book and then you can do it. You can
	beat these people.
	It's easy. He makes it sound easy.
	It's not easy because it's a real mind switch.
	You've got to think differently.
	It is.
	But the good thing is, he's right.
	You don't have to invent anything.
	You start with the Bill of Rights.
	You start with the Constitution.
	You have the best, you have a toolkit that the left doesn't have.
	The left has ideology.
	It has, you know, the cult, the little seals that are clapping if you say, you know, abortion is good.
	But the toolkit is our toolkit.

	Any words of wisdom or advice for somebody who wants to get into this family of content provider and likes guns?
	What kind of hurdles should they expect and what kind of tips can you give them?
	The most important tip that I can give anybody that wants to do anything in this realm is you have to figure out your why.
	You have to figure out why you're doing it.
	You have to be sound on what you're doing and why you're doing, and everything else is going to fall in place.
	You will meet roadblocks.
	You will meet censorship.
	You will meet things that are blocked.
	You will meet every single obstacle that you can imagine, but if you use them as fuel to make yourself stronger for that why and reinforce it, You will be further along than you ever thought you would be.
	It's incredibly important to not only instill hope in others, but also hope and belief in yourself.

	The beauty and the development is in the struggle of that question.

	So when you ask something as grandiose as why, that can go a lot of different ways and you might be surprised where it takes you, but genuinely the development and the struggle and the research, when you have a question, you find your own answer and then you start tying those things all together.
	It's a process, but my own channel, I would not have been where I am if I didn't make a decision to transition from actual gun reviews into political analysis and news analysis.
	That was scary, but I knew my why.
	I knew what I was going to do, and then it just led you.
	You have to persevere.
	That's American as the day is long.
