♪♪ Hello, everybody.
This is your favorite president, Donald J. Trump.
And I want to let you know that I'm also a big fan of Sebastian.
So I know you listen to him, and he's got a great audience, good ratings, and all of
those things.
But he has it because he's a very talented guy.

So I know you listen to him, and he's got a great audience, good ratings, and all of

He has it because he's a very talented guy.
He's an amazing man.
Thank you, Mr. President.
I got a text last night after I hosted Eric Bolling's show.
Eric Bolling had an emergency ruptured appendectomy.
I didn't know when they asked me to stand in for him, so he released that today on Twitter.
Keep him in your prayers.
He's recovering in hospital right now.
I hosted his show on Newsmax, and I mentioned my book at the end of the show.
You know, check out The Wolf of America's Soul, and then President Trump President Trump sends out a truth saying, get Seb Gawker's new book, The War for America's Soul.
We all learn something, and then everything blows up.
So hopefully my publisher's got enough of those printed.

Okay, outside of the border which we will continue to discuss because the call board exploded.
We're only 20 minutes into the show.
Don't go anywhere.
Don, Pete, Phil, James, Diego, we will get to you.
But the other story of the week.
She's been teasing us for a few months now.
I trusted her and then somebody got hold of the audio and man alive does it tell you everything you need to know about corruption.
Not on their side but our side.
Here's a little snippet.
You know what it is?
The people don't get to choose their elected officials.
Unless they're pre-approved by the swamp.
And the swamp doesn't pre-approve of me.
You need a strong party to help you win.
I think you should go public with this and then say, hey... No, no, no, no, no.
These people don't want to... They don't want... Then I turn my key in my car and I go... I don't know.
I like my car.
Tell them I'm not flattered.
That is Jeff DeWitt, the head of the GOP in Arizona, until that audio was released and he had to resign, trying to bribe the woman who should be the governor of that state.
And she says, no, you can't buy me, not for a million, not for two million, not for a billion.
I'm not buyable.
And then she says, you know, you should go public with the people from the swapper trying to bribe me through you.
And what does he say?
Did you catch what he said there?
Oh no, because then the next day I turn the ignition key on my car and it goes...
Wow!
All right, let's talk to the lady on that call who can't be bought.
I met her before she even made it official that she's stepping into politics.
She has become an America First warrior queen.
Carrie Lake, welcome back to America First!
Oh my gosh, and you never tried to bribe me to keep me out of politics.
You actually encouraged me, Seb.
You encouraged me.
You can release the recordings, if there are, of any call we have ever had between us.
I didn't try to bribe anyone because I believe in America, as do you.
So let's start with what we discussed in the break as we were just chatting.
The shocking thing about this story, and people need to listen, you know, get the full context, the full 11 minutes, it's on my Twitter feed, it's everywhere, you know, on the planet, that this isn't a recording between some sleazy Democrat and some politician who wants to represent the Democrats in Arizona.
This is the head of the GOP who is asking you to do what, Carrie Lake?
He was asking me because a bunch of polling had come out.
This was in the very end of February, beginning of January.
I think it was February 28th or March 1st.
And some polling had come out looking to the future U.S.
Senate race, the one that I happen to be in right now.
Four or five polls came out basically showing that I was the top contender, nobody could beat me, and I would win if I ran for U.S.
Senate.
The mumblings and rumblings started going about, will she run for Senate or won't she?
And he called me one day.
Mind you, this is a month after I endorsed him to be the GOP chair.
One month after I endorsed him and I helped to get President Trump's endorsement for him, one month later he came to my house Unannounced.
He called me and said, I'm outside your neighborhood and I'll be there.
I have to talk to you about something and I have to do it.
It has to be in person.
It can't be over the phone.
And that's why I recorded it.
He was in my home and it just a red flag went up that this could be a threat.
I don't know what this is, what's going to happen here.
And he came in and tried to bribe me to not get into the U.S.
Senate race.
Now, why would the AZGOP chair, Who I endorsed, who saw the polling showing that I could win and that I'm very, very popular with Republicans and independents in this state.
Why would he not want me to run?
You'd think you'd want someone who's a populist, who brings people out to vote.
But let's be specific.
It wasn't that they don't want you to run.
They tried to bribe you to not run for two years and offered you whatever cushy, no-show job you wanted for millions of dollars.
I mean, it was classic DC Sleaze!
Yeah, and I said, who's behind this?
He said, forget the who, let's talk about the what.
Some powerful people back east.
I think he should name who those people are because the sad thing, Seb, and you know this because you work in the swamp or you have worked in the swamp, the sad thing is powerful people back east who are slimy and sleazy, there's hundreds of them.
So we could spend all day, all week, guessing who it could be, and it's only Jeff who can really fill us in on who sent him to my house to try to bribe me.
Yeah, and the truly disgusting thing in his resignation letter that occurred within 24 hours of, I think it was the Daily Mail that released the audio, he blames you.
He's not the guilty party for attempting to be the bribery middleman.
He says, oh, Carrie Lake can't be trusted because she record phone calls.
So the person who actually refused the bribe is the guilty party and the person who affected or tried to affect the bribe is trying to blame you.
Absolutely shocking.
I've got more questions to ask you.
Don't go anywhere.
We have breaking news.
Vivek Ramaswamy has endorsed our guest.
Yes, indeed.
The man who President Trump is so excited about his bright, bright future.
I think I know where he might end up in the Trump administration.
It's up to us, God willing, to make that happen.
But he has just endorsed our guest candidate for the U.S.

We'll be back with the one and only Carrie Lake after these messages.
Oh, oh, they are still on.
So people at home can hear as well?
People on Rumble, yeah.
Unless you want me to kill the mics.
Well, then I'll clear something up and maybe when we come back we can.
This was not a recorded phone call.
What was it?
This happened.
He came to my door.
Wow.
And called me and said, I'm coming over.
I have to talk to you.
I can't talk to you on the phone.
Because there was some noise.
I couldn't work out what the noise was.
It was like rustling and stuff going on.
Yeah, we'll get you to clarify that.
Did he tell you why he was coming to me?
No, he started with a phone call saying, I have to come over.
I have to come over.
I'm right outside your neighborhood.
I'm coming over right now.
I have to talk to you.
It can't be done on the phone.
I have to do it in person.
I can't say this on the phone, which is kind of a red flag, which is why I said, I better record this.
There might be a threat involved here.
It seemed very suspicious.
So I recorded it.
It was right at my dining room table.
As you could hear, I was actually eating.
And you had literally just endorsed him.
That's mind-blowing.
I endorsed him and helped get an endorsement from President Trump.
Wow.
And one month later, he's in that conversation.
I wish you could play the whole thing because he says President Trump can't win and I can't win.
And if you saw the polls that came out on the Senate race, it showed that nobody, just the opposite, nobody could beat me for U.S.
Senate.
In Arizona.
So you would think he would want me on the ticket, because I bring out a lot of people.
Well, no, because you're not part of the swamp.
Can you come in with the other clip, Eric, and then I'll do the cruise, and then I'll go to Carrie?
Come in with the long one?
Yep.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You want to fade it down at some point?
I might speak this up at the end.
That's OK.
Of course.
Yeah, we can do that.
I have it.
I'll mention it.
We'll put it up on the screen.
Sorry, I should have done that.
Not a problem.
You want to play out the whole cut or fade it down at some point?
Uh, just start playing it, and watch my hand.
Okay.
Alrighty.
Oh, and titles, by the way.
Uh, titles.
And the monologue.
The monologue is, um, They've Lost the Border War.
And then for Jack, uh...
Yes, the Founding Fathers were Christian or something like that?
Yes.
What did that interview look like?
80 seconds.
Is the rest of it good though?
I lost him.
He didn't understand.
Okay.
Is the rest of it good, though?
One minute.
You heard it.
You're kind of hard on her, but...
She's asking all the questions that all the other mainstream movies ask.
You're kind of hard on her, but...
Thank you for watching.
I just say that people call me a racist. I'm not racist. I'm not racist. I'm not racist.
I just say that people call me a racist.
If you say no, don't.
If you say, I got offered to buy out, don't, don't, don't, don't.
Because then we lose our ability to get things done in the future.
Here's my problem.
Rather than just say, let's work with her.
She's a great candidate because they don't own me.
And it pisses me off.
Yeah, I said it was about ownership.
It's about control.
It's about being on the team.
Like I said, you know what I mean?
They want to be on the team.
They want you to be on their team.
But if they're pushing a globalist agenda, I can't do that.
So what do they want?
What do they want me to do?
They want you to stay opportunist.
But, let me tell you what I can offer you.
But, I said, you can do whatever you want with a talking head,
isn't it?
So the ask of me was, it's kind of funny, so the ask I got today from back east was,
this is, he has this issue with us, was, is there any companies out there or something
that could just put her on the payroll and give her, to keep her out?
And I said, well, what do you want them to do?
Whatever we need to do.
This is about defeating Trump.
And I think that's a bad, bad thing for our country.
DeSantis is not America first.
This is about the final death blow to Trump.
And I don't think that's good for our country.
Wasn't a phone call.
That was actually in her home.
The head of the Arizona GOP, Jeff DeWitt, said he urgently had to talk to her.
And you heard what he said.
The people out East want to find a job for you.
Some big company.
They can put you on the payroll.
Pay you a lot of money.
Not to run for the Senate.
That tells you everything you need to know about this stinking city that we broadcast from.

We're talking to the woman who recorded that conversation.
She is the author of the new book, Get It Today, Unafraid.
Carrie Lake, I gotta ask you just one question because I remember in Matt Schlapp's house at a party two, three years ago before COVID, you came up to me, introduced yourself and said, Hey, I'm Carrie Lake and I want to run for the governorship of my state.
And I was very impressed with you.
We chatted, you, me, my wife, we took a selfie and then you did what you did and you became a rock star, but you're an outsider like president Trump.
What has it been like to be the outsider?
Are you not sickened by what you've experienced in the last three years, Carrie Lake?
Well, thank you for being so nice to me when I came up.
It was May of 2021.
Wow.
And I said to you, I'm going to run for governor.
You don't know me, but I'm going to run for governor.
And you were so nice because I look back and I almost see a more naive me, version of me, one who, with a father who taught history in US government, I believed that, as our founding fathers did, that real citizens would step forward and run for office and that you were able to do that.
That a citizen politician, a merchant, a business owner, a farmer, a rancher would step forth and run for office and that it was possible to do that.
And what I've learned in this disgusting, corrupt, swampy system is it's nearly impossible to do that.
Thankfully, President Trump pushed through.
And I have pushed through as well, and I think I've helped reveal a lot of the corruption here in our state, in elections, and now with this audio recording that's out, I'm showing kind of what we've always suspected, that a lot of slimy deals like this are going on.
That's how we keep getting these politicians, Seb, who we vote for, they get to D.C.
and the first vote that's consequential, that matters, that they're supposed to stand up and do the right thing, They fold.
And they fold most likely, in my opinion, because they have been bought or bribed.
Yeah.
If you're America First, if you believe in MAGA and President Trump, they will try to neutralize you.
And if they can't neutralize you, they'll try and buy you.
This woman cannot be bought.
One of our prized possessions in our green room here, it tells you everything you need to know about, is the signed poster from Carrie Lake.
We can do it!

I think certainly, you know, through Super Tuesday.

Dawn in Los Angeles!
Happy Friday!
Oh, happy Friday to you, Dr. G. Rolling thunder on the right.
We're gonna have to have some motorbike revving sound for whenever you come on so we can just hear that rolling thunder.
Oh, that sounds good.
Hey, Carrie Lake, she's something else.
Isn't she great?
She's like just a warrior.
I'd like to invite her for a milkshake.
Man, she's great.
One milkshake, two straws.
I'm sure she's taken, but I can dream.
She is taken, but you know, you can maybe buy her a milkshake with one straw.
Yes, I'm a big fan, with a little American flag stuck in it.
But what I really want to talk to you about, I know it's Ask Dr. G Anything Day, so I'm going to exploit that privilege, if I may.
Nobody's really talking as much as I think they ought to about this, uh, this dust up with Pakistan and Iran.
I know.
Or Balochistan.
I know.
Now, this Baluchi thing, I mean, they're like the, they're like the, uh, they're like the new Kurds.
You know, they got a piece in Iran, they got a piece in Pakistan, and they want part of Afghanistan.
It's like, holy smokes!
I wish I knew more about them and how that's going to play out.
I mean, gee whiz.
Is that what they fought over or is it something else?
No, you're absolutely right.
We discussed it.
I shouldn't be advertising somebody else's show, but so many of the America First listeners out there.
When I was in Arizona, no, Nevada this week, a lot of people came up to me and said, love your show and love when you go on Bannon's War Room.
We actually discussed it this week and we both admitted, he as a former naval officer and me as former strategist to the president, that we never could have imagined.
That in our lifetimes, Iran would be launching attacks against Pakistan.
So I recommend you go back, look at my social media postings.
We put my interview on The War Room, always up on my social media.
But I think you're right, Don.
We will have to discuss it with our buddy James Carrafano when he's next in studio.
Frightening times.
When America doesn't lead, it is frightening, frightening times.
Okay, let's go to James in New Mexico.
How's it going?
Good!
Hey, Kerry Lake for Vice President.
She's Donald Trump in a female body.
Yeah, I've actually said that about a year ago.
But I think she's going to find another role to play if she isn't the senator.
But she's focused on the Senate race right now.
And as I've said already, James, on the show, President Trump has already picked his vice president.
It's an amazing choice.
It's somebody no one is talking about.
It's a great choice, but it's not Carrie Lake.
But thank you, Diego Augusta, Georgia.
Good afternoon, Dr. Gorka.
Greetings.
So, my question is... Your sound's going in and out.
I don't know if you're mobile or something, but we're losing you.
Yeah.
Of course it doesn't.
Of course it doesn't.
This guy that campaigned from his basement, we know that.
What else is new, Diego?
Yet no Republican actually looked at it and said, this is too crooked, let's get this fixed.
Well, they did.
So, Diego, that's not actually correct.
Before the ratification of the Electoral College results, there were numerous senators, you can look this up yourself, who said they would make speeches from the floor to ask the serious questions, especially about those swing states in the battleground states, the swing districts in the battleground states.
But when the quote-unquote Fed's erection occurred, none of them made those speeches.
So, Diego, They planned to make those speeches, including Senator Cruz, but none of them did because of something called January the 6th.
So, yeah, that's why we have to dig deeper as to what really happened that day.
Let's go to... Steve in Arizona has got a question about where I was on Monday and Tuesday.
Hello, Sebastian.
It's Mr. Budapest Coffee Mug Guy.
Ah, the man with the quality caffeinated beverage.
Yes, hold it.
Go ahead, my friend.
So, as you know, I'm a fellow car owner, and I'm wondering, did you get to shoot the new car double stack?
And if so, what did you think of it?
Well, that's a very good question, Steve, since CAR is our Friday Second Amendment sponsor.
I didn't get to shoot it because it's a pre-production model.
I will share photographs of me with the president of CAR Firearms.
Fondly, fondling the brand new double stack 9mm.
And Steve, it is better than even I imagined.
It is tiny.
It takes an RMR red dot sight.
It has, despite its diminutive stature, it has a 10 round plus an extended magazine, 14 round capacity.
It is I just can't wait.
They said they will be available by April, and as soon as I get my hands on one, you will be hearing just how good it is.
But I carry a car for a reason, and the double stack, the first ever double stack, full power nine mil, has been announced and will imminently be ready.
Thank you for that fabulous question.
Don't go anywhere.
Pete and Phil will get to you momentarily.
I'm Sebastian Gawker.
This is America First.
And we are so excited that's me and my wife to announce to you the latest, latest product from those great people at Relief Factor.
It's not enough.
that they're liberating over a million people from their daily pain with their regular relief
factor product. Now they have sleep. This is also a completely natural supplement. It's one capsule,
two capsules or three capsules, you decide on what you need.
And this guarantees quality sleep.
And the best part of it all is even if you take three capsules, sometimes you know you just
really need to have the Sandman come and lull you into a deep sleep.
You wake up in the morning and you're refreshed.
You're not groggy.
I'm a night owl.
You know my story.
My wife goes to bed early and wakes up before the sun gets up.
Last week she slept till six one morning and seven the next.
That's incredible!
My wife never does that.
Do you want to have a restorative deep sleep that doesn't rely upon dangerous chemicals and doesn't leave you all fuzzy-headed in the morning?

What's that?
Bye!
Garifano's traveling.
He's somewhere.
I don't know.
He said he's moving in.
We've got a super chat, by the way.
Super chat!
Boris can't make it.
I guess he's still on the... Still on the court.
Five dollars from... So you want me to unblock it then?
We've got... We've got... A's open.
What kind of cuts have we got?
Let's have a look.
One moment, donor.
We played two, we played one, we played both Cary Lake cuts.
Oh, play me cut three.
Three, real quick.
President Trump's policy, Remain in Mexico policy, was the best border policy I've ever seen in my 27 years covering Arizona.
It worked.
And Joe Biden came in on day one and pulled that.
And now we're seeing a crisis.
We need to build the wall.
First of all, we need to sue the federal government for failing to protect us.
And while that lawsuit is working its way through the system, let's go down and start building the wall.
We have many of many miles of Arizona state land we could be building it
on and let's let's finish these little gaps. They're coming through a funnel where there's
a gap in the president's wall and it is on federal land but let's build the wall anyway.
What's Joe Biden going to do?
Arrest a sitting governor?
None.
So will the full story...
...begin?
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
I think the border is a very important issue for Donald Trump.
And the fact that he would communicate to Republican senators and congresspeople that he doesn't want us to solve the border problem because he wants to blame Biden for it is really appalling.
But the reality is that What is that based upon Mittens Mitt Romney?
Something your Democrat donors told you.
You are truly, truly disgusting.
what's happening at the border and someone running for president ought to
try and get the problem solved as opposed to saying hey save that problem
don't solve it let me take credit for solving it later.
What is that based upon Mittens Mitt Romney? Somebody your Democrat something
your Democrat donors told you you are truly truly disgusting let's go to Phil
in Philly. Hey Dr. G thanks for taking the call from the Beast Coach here.
I have just an observation here.
I'm not getting no press.
Today is the last day of National School Choice Week, and a lot of people have been pressing that for individual schools.
I was just hoping maybe President Trump, now it'd be impossible to codify it on a federal level, but if he could come out and say, listen, I will do everything I can and I'll use every source at my disposal to talk these governors into codifying school choice on a state level, because every one of God's children here in America, and it would cut off the indoctrination camps at the knees.
Yeah, yeah.
Look, in principle, I love it.
It works that easily if there are other schools to choose from.
But he does mention it now and again, but you're right.
It is the first way to cut out the indoctrination.
Great idea, Phil.
I think you will see him mention it more and more frequently.
Let's stay in Pennsylvania.
Let's go to Pete, line two.
Hey, Dr. Gorka.
Hey.
How you doing today?
Good.
Hey, I met you at the Cigar Festival in Conjohocken last year.
It was a very pleasant time.
That was very fun, very fun.
What's your comment, what's your question, Pete?
Yes, it was extremely heartwarming in the 2020 Republican National Convention to see President Trump preside over a naturalization ceremony for Five or six brand new American citizens.
They had tears of joy in their eyes, and so thankful to achieve that most important thing of American citizenship.
And if President Trump could include ceremonies like that during his campaign stops, that would be a tremendous contrast against what we see at our southern border, sir.
I like that recommendation as well.
Two great recommendations from Philadelphia and from our other friend in Pennsylvania.
And of course, don't forget, Pete, that we had, it was Melania, I think in December, who did the same thing at the National Archives, who was there, presided over a naturalization ceremony.
But you're right, we've got to emphasize those, like myself, who came here legally to the United States.
Not those who are undermining all those who actually obeyed the law.
I'm Sebastian Gawker.
First hour down.
Two more to go.
Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, don't touch that dial.
And that's how you do it.
So, thanks for watching.
I'll see you next time.
Bye now.
Bye.
.
This is Second Amendment Friday on America First with Dr. G. You know what I've said about the FBI and how it's unsalvageable?
That does not apply to those who've left FBI service, maintained their honor before it was taken over by the Democrat Party.
Key individuals who had senior positions in the Bureau, have just released a letter to the Senate and to the House to Speaker Mike Johnson, Chuck Schumer, and other members who are in key national security committees.
I want to share with you some of their words.
A. Because it's very, very unusual for senior FBI individuals to write public letters.
And B, because of the import of what they have to say.
Give the subject of their missive as the following.
The United States is facing a new and imminent danger.
Dear Mr. Speaker, Senate Majority Leader and Chairman, As former senior executives of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, with deep experience combating dangers to the nation, We write to express our concern about a current specific threat that may be one of the most pernicious ever to menace the United States.
The threat we call out today is new and unfamiliar.
It is, in modern history, The likes of a threat the U.S.
has never seen.
We have never suffered an invasion of the homeland, yet one is unfolding now.
Military-aged men from across the globe, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United States, are landing in waves on our soil by the thousands.
Not by splashing ashore from a ship or parachuting from a plane, but rather by foot across a border that has been accurately advertised around the world as largely unprotected with ready access granted.
It would be difficult to overstate the danger represented by the presence inside our borders of what is comparatively a multi-division army of young, single adult males from hostile nations and regions whose background, intent, or allegiance is completely unknown.
They include individuals encountered by border officials and then possibly released into the country, along with a shockingly high estimate of, quote, gotaways, meaning those who have entered and evaded apprehension.
In light of such a daunting, unprecedented penetration by uninvited foreign actors, it is reasonable to assert that the country possesses dramatically diminished national security at this time.
The nation's military and laws, and other natural protective barriers that have provided traditional security in the past, have been thoroughly circumvented over the past three years.
In 2021, the demographics of those crossing the porous southern boundary started to shift.
Young men from around the world, traveling alone and holding questionable motivations, dramatically increased in number to become the most common profile of those breaching the nation's borders.
A startling number have been found to be on the terrorist watch list or are from countries designated as state sponsors of terror, distinctly unfriendly to the United States.
This is all particularly alarming in the light of the Hamas terror attacks on Israel last October 7th.
Those of us who have fought terrorism know that historically successful terror attacks invite mimicry.
We know as well that terror leaders intentionally cultivate throngs of young men possessing a certain easily manipulated personality type to carry out atrocities.
It is stark to say so, but having a large number of young males now within our borders who could begin attacking gatherings of unarmed citizens in imitation of 10-7, and at the behest of a foreign terror group, must be considered a distinct possibility.
We would be remiss not to call out this potentially grave threat in the most direct of terms.
The warning lights are blinking.
Elements of this recent surge are likely no accident or coincidence.
These men are potential operators in what appears to be an accelerated and strategic penetration.
A soft invasion, designed to gain internal access to a country That cannot be invaded militarily in order to inflict catastrophic damage if and when our enemies deem it necessary.
This new reality, this never-seen-before threat deserves greater attention.
The borders need to be secured against these young men and those already here illegally must be identified and removed without delay.
This will take the coordinated, cooperative efforts of the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the rest of the intelligence community to achieve.
We encourage these actions and much greater congressional attention to this threat.
The country has been invaded.
An invasion that will continue as long as the nation's enemies perceive it will be tolerated.
Until it is stopped, the United States is extraordinarily less safe and secure.
Knowing all of this, it would be a shameful travesty if some terrible attack, a preventable attack, were to occur against innocent Americans or the infrastructure that keeps the nation safe and functioning.
The government will have failed grievously in its duty to protect.
Signed, Kevin Arbrock, Assistant Director, FBI, retired.
Mr. Chris Schwecker, Assistant Director, FBI, retired.
The list goes on and on, to include our friend Mark Morgan, who before he joined Customs and Border Protection, was Assistant Director at the FBI.
Ruben Garcia, David Sadie, Timothy J. Healy, Jody Weiss, William Gavin, David Mitchell, Timothy McNally, all senior former FBI agents, supervisory special agents, assistant directors.
I don't want to say this, but that letter gives me the authority Grants me the permission to do so.
What our friend James Carafano said on this show maybe a year ago.
An analysis from one of the most sober national security professionals in this city.
That shocked me when he said it.
It is now absolutely undeniable.
There will be another 9-11.
There will be multiple 9-11s.
And collectively they will make that event the most serious terror attack of the modern age.
Seem insignificant.
and that is because we are the only developed nation in the world that has
decided or has had its political masters decide
that our sovereignty is not to be protected
and that whoever wishes to come here with good intent
or ill intent may come here
is not screened for their ideology
for their motivation and for their affiliations
to threat groups to inimical countries and the math is very plain
pain.
Of the 8 million that we know, if only 1% are terrorist operators, the threat to America is excessively grave.
President Trump can fix this, but first he has to be re-elected.
He has to stay out of prison and he has to be alive.
We have to get him re-elected.
You have to help that happen.
In the meantime, take necessary actions to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Because in the war against terrorists, the front line is your front doorstep.
God bless us all.

Are you ready for the next ten months?
Are you fighting fit?
Are you healthy?
Yes, you gotta exercise.
Yes, you gotta eat right.
But how's your weight?
Have you given up on being your former svelte self?
I had for about 20 years.
I'd lose weight, get it back on, lose it, pile it back on.
And then I met Dr. Ashley Lucas and her amazing team at my PhD weight loss helped me lose 42 pounds in just a matter of months.
My muse Katie lost 36.
She's ecstatic.
My colleague Mike Gallagher lost 53 pounds and kept it off.
Now Dennis Prager's doing it, my executive producer Mr. G's doing it.
He's lost almost 20 pounds in less than a month.
No scary injections, no stupid pills to pop, just five meals a day that help you burn the fat.

You know it's a big story.
I mean, I was on British TV this morning and I thought, what do they want to talk about?
President Trump, Iowa, New Hampshire.
What do they want to talk about?
Texas and the border.
If British television is following what Greg Abbott and the Texas Rangers and the National Guard are doing, yeah, it's hit the big time.
What are the constitutional ramifications?
I haven't even played a lawyer on television.
Let's ask a man who has actually been and is a practicing attorney.
He served with me in the Trump administration, in the White House, at the Department of Justice.
He's a good friend of America First.
Ken Kuklowski.
Happy New Year and welcome back.
Happy New Year, Seb.
Thanks for having me.
So before we get into the nitty-gritty of all the constitutional legal aspects and the letters flying back and forth between Texas and D.C., give us a sense of the magnitude of this issue.
When the White House is giving ultimatum to the governor of a state the size of Texas, he's utterly ignoring the one o'clock deadline today.
How big a legal issue is this border issue?
Well, it's very big at smallest.
It could be huge.
And that's what will play out over the coming days here.
Governor Abbott does not work for President Biden.
He works for the people of Texas.
And this is something of a constitutional showdown.
And we're going to see who wins.
Alright, let's get down to the brass tacks of this, I love this phrase, the constitutional showdown.
So, walk us through the big muscle movements of this issue, because we are a republic of states, each state has its own constitution, each governor has specific Responsibilities to the citizens of his own state.
Texas uniquely was its own independent country in the 1820s, so it, you know, it can run itself should it so wish to do so.
God forbid it's the result of a second Civil War, but talk to us about how this breaks down in terms of Texas mandates, vice federal mandates.
That's right.
Well, Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution obligates the federal government to protect Texas, or all of the states, against invasion.
The federal government has not done so, and that triggers Texas power under Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the Constitution.
Where they can engage in forceful measures if they are invaded and that the federal government has not come to their aid.
And so Texas has declared that they're being invaded.
And so that lays the constitutional fight for the dueling statutes, federal law and state law that's now clashing in the federal court system.
And is there an arbiter?
Because when we talk about arguments such as Roe v. Wade and so forth, we say, well, it's got to go through the court system, lower courts, appellate courts.
And then if that is exhausted, it goes to the Supreme Court.
But here, it's not a question of federal law.
It is federal agencies trying to order state agencies to do something.
Is the arbiter still the Supreme Court?
How is this settled?
Because as my friend Dan Bongino, who served as a city law enforcement officer in New York, who served as a federal officer in the Secret Service, said, look, The FBI is small.
The Marshal Service is tiny by comparison.
Even New York City has more police officers than the FBI does.
And Texas is a big state with lots of Rangers, lots of National Guard troops.
So in terms of a physical standoff, we know which side would win, and it wouldn't be the Feds.
So short of some kinetic action, which we dread happening, who is the final arbiter of who is in the right here, Ken?
Well, ultimately, I believe it will be the U.S.
Supreme Court.
At this stage, it's the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
See, what you have here is the Constitution sets up two parallel levels of sovereignty under our system.
Part of the genius of the Founding Fathers is that they took government power and they broke it.
They broke it into multiple pieces.
And one axis on which they broke that power was between the federal and state level.
The federal government is sovereign under the subjects entrusted to it by the U.S.
Constitution.
And then state governments are sovereign over everything else under the Tenth Amendment.
So in this case, the federal government is sovereign with regards to immigration policy.
But the states are sovereign in being able to protect the citizens' property and contract rights of those on its soil, and to create and enforce their own criminal code.
And so ideally, this would be a belt and suspenders approach to the border.
The federal government can secure it on a nationwide basis, or each state is able to secure it with regards to the space that it occupies along the border.
But here you have, the federal government has an agency whose job it is, whose mission it is, by Congress, to secure the border.
That's the Border Patrol.
We know that the agents want to do so.
We also know they are being ordered by DC not to do so.
So Texas is enforcing its own laws in terms of making it illegal to come onto its soil and be committing criminal acts.
And as part of that, they are securing their own part of the border.
And so, of course, now we have federal officers under orders to remove those barriers.
And that clash is the clash that's now in the courts.
All right, Eric, Alex, how did my old colleague do?
Should we keep him on for another segment?
I absolutely think one more segment is warranted.
Alex, do you approve?
Do you second that motion?
I second that motion, yes.
All right.
I think you did pretty good.
I've got some more questions to ask from our buddy, my colleague from the Trump administration.
Follow him at Ken Kuklowski right now.
This is America First.
Don't forget to give us a follow on social media.
Just look for Seb Gawker everywhere and check out my sub stack.
We'll be back after these messages.
Alright, let's talk about weaponization.
Uh...
And then I'm curious, just give me, you know, your druthers right now.
How do you think this ends?
Because what are they going to do?
Arrest the National Guard?
Well, I'll tell you, Texas had won, at least in the first round, at the Fifth Circuit.
It's very concerning that by a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court put a stay on that injunction.
It can mean one of two things, and because there was no opinion, we don't know which one it is.
Either Amy Coney Barrett was just trying to freeze kind of the status quo of the normal division between federal and state while all of these briefs are being filed and to allow for full argument and a careful deliberative process in court.
That's one possibility.
The other possibility is that she thinks that at the end of the day the federal government has the better legal claim here and that that's how she's going to rule on the merits.
So this will either win 5-4 or lose 5-4 and right now we just don't know which of those two scenarios is played out.
Isn't it weird for them to weigh in but to not give us any documentary argumentation?
Not at this, like, it's called the shadow docket, not at this, like, emergency interim stage.
Sometimes they attach a short explanation, other times it's just a vote.
Really, these things are such snap decisions, and they're so rarely done at all, that there is no standard operating procedure either way.
Interesting, interesting.
All right, let's talk about what's happening in the courts across the land with our former boss.
Yes, indeed.
And you know, we just filed a brief on behalf of three former AGs, Meese, Mukasey and Bill Barr, supporting President Trump at the Supreme Court in Trump v. Anderson, the Colorado case.
Bill Barr?
Are you kidding me?
I represent Bill Barr along with Ed Meese and Michael Mukasey supporting President Trump.
Alright, don't turn your back on him or leave your wallet unattended when you're in the same room with him.
And our friends at Citizens United.
I'm honored to represent each of the clients who wanted to weigh in supporting the President.
Love it, love it.
Alright, what do we have here?
Okay, we've done Chaney.
It's so good, I'm gonna do the Judge Janine cut here before we go back to Ken.
That's cut in nine.
Yeah.
Alright.
I've got all the images you sent me.
No, I'll do that in E. I'll do the Chris, um, I'll do this, the, um, McCaskill thing here.
Uh, seven.
Okay.
Uh, no.
Oh, seven, yeah.
Yeah, seven, McCaskill.
Alright.
Oh no!
Oh my gosh!
40 seconds.
I'll come in with that, and then I'll do the reed, and then I'll tee up Kamala.
Come in with 7, then car, then Kamala cut 10.
10. All right.
9. All right.
8. All right.
7. All right.
8. All right.
Thank you.
I.
I'm curious your thoughts, Claire McCaskill, as both a senator and a prosecutor about this sentencing.
Well, you know, as a person, I wish it was four years instead of four months.
wants to give Peter Navarro four years in prison, not four months, for being in contempt of Congress regarding Nancy Pelosi's illegal January 6th committee.
That's who we're dealing with.
And it's not one crazy politician.
He goes all the way up to the White House.
I want our guests to react to the next cut in a moment, but it is Friday.
It is Second Amendment Friday.

Eagle line and the historic Inter Ordnance, including the M1, the Tommy Gun, and the 1911.
This attitude of the weaponization of the judiciary, of federal law enforcement, goes
all the way to the White House.
And in quite an ironic fashion, here is the Vice President of the United States, Cut Ten.
And on the other side, you've got someone who has said that if he were back in office, he would weaponize the Department of Justice.
Someone who has openly applauded insurrectionists as patriots.
Someone who has said that they will go after their political enemies.
He served in the Trump administration in the White House and in the Department of Justice.
He's a personal friend of mine.
You can follow him at Ken Kuklowski on social media.
Just your reaction to the Vice President saying that the other side, Trump, he's going to weaponize the Department of Justice, Ken, and use it against his enemies.
Well, one way to understand what the current administration does is whatever they're accusing their opponents of planning to do, that's what you know they're actually doing.
And I think that that clip sums it up as well as anything.
What is your estimate of what it's going to take?
I mean, as somebody who's known the sausage factory from the inside, is it fixable?
What will it require in a four-year second Trump administration, if we do what needs to be done, God willing?
Where does it begin and how?
Also, not just when it comes to federal government, but it seems that we have a problem with judges as well.
Today in the E. Jean Carroll case, the judge threatened to incarcerate President Trump's attorney and said, set down lest I have the bailiffs arrest you.
So it seems as if it's not just the bureaucrats, Ken, but we have a certain coterie of judges out of control as well.
Well, I'll tell you, it's two separate lines of questions there.
With regards to the first one, when it comes to federal executive branch personnel, we certainly need for President Trump to bring back Schedule F, which could deal with so many of these senior... Explain how Schedule F is used inside federal government and how the president could employ it to depoliticize the bureaucracy.
That's right.
Schedule F would take senior levels in the career service, in the GS service, which goes up to 15.
Now, this gets confusing because there's a bracket on top of GS called SES, the Senior Executive Service.
SES is governed by a different statute, so it would be a different framework.
But the way current federal employee laws are worded, it gave the president discretion to be able to create a new category, a new schedule is the term for it, of federal employees called Schedule F.
And to say that Schedule F, because they are involved in policy formulation and implementation, that they need to be answerable to the president and his political appointees.
And so those individuals could be removed if they are using the powers of their employment position to actually work contrary to the president's agenda.
We have the plan, we have the tools, we need the patriotic men and women.
Some people like, oh I don't know, like that chap.
Ken Kuklowski, thank you for your service in the Trump administration and your continued service to the Republic.
Follow my former colleague... Yours as well, sir.
Don't mention it.

So, yes!
I admit, I went away for two days.
I came back early, guys.
Only two days off.
Why?
Because I had to go to the biggest convocation of gun lovers, gun manufacturers in the world.
That is, of course, SHOT Show.
And we had quite, quite the event there.
A few images to share with you.
I was on the range.
Oh, where's the video?
Don't we have the Here's a video of me on the range for Media Day.
A very kind man accompanied me, we'll mention him momentarily, and we photographed each other testing out all the latest weapons.
Here we are at the Franklin Armory table with an amazing weapon, an AR-15 that doesn't have to be adjusted between suppressor use and unsuppressed use.
Then we went to Carr, to Justin Moon, for the unveiling of his double-stack, tiny 9mm.
Can't wait for when it goes into full production.
Canic geniuses have collaborated with that legend Taran Butler who taught the Mr. Wick star Keanu Reeves how to shoot to make a Well, just a very cool pistol.
There it is.
The day it was launched in my hands.
And then we were celebrating the day before with the most important... I don't know what an influencer is.
Somebody will explain it to me.
The biggest gun content providers in media, including Turan and some other fellow who looks rather natty.
He doesn't usually wear a suit, but there we are in Vegas with none other than Jared Janice, who is Mr. Guns and Gadgets, with a very special announcement.
Jared, welcome to America First with me, Sebastian Gorka.
How are we doing, Seb?
It's a pleasure to be here, my friend.
Well, I want to thank you because you kept me company for two days.
It was a wet, wet Vegas short show.
You helped me out with the filming.
We scratched each other's back with, you know, media content.
And then you invited me to the Gundys, which is the Oscars for the gun community of content providers.
And I've got a photograph of you at the Venetian Theatre in Vegas.
In front of hundreds of the biggest names in the gun industry, with a big sign above your head that says, Influencer of the Year.
Did you think you were going to get the biggest award that night, Jared?
Uh, no.
It was the farthest thing from my mind.
I can barely influence my own wife and children, never mind the people who view and watch the channel.
Well, congratulations.
There is a reason that you were elected by your peers and by the viewers for that award.
Will you tell, for those who aren't familiar with Guns and Gadgets, what you do and why you think this industry, because I'm a gun guy.
I mean, a crazy gun guy.
And I watch this stuff all the time when I've got free time.
And I didn't know literally half of the people getting awards that night.
It seems like our industry is just exploding in popularity.
Why is that?
Well, I think people are starting to realize that the rights that our forefathers knew we needed are needed.
People feel safer when they're their own first responder.
You can respond faster than law enforcement can respond, and I'm saying that from 24 years in law enforcement.
So, our industry is not only about playing with the toys on the range, but also educating folks on how to use things properly.
And more importantly, what I do on my channel, as you know, is I want people to get involved in the politics side, to know what each bill says, how they can support it, or go against it, or even run for office.
Because that, in my mind, is more important than anything.
If we don't support this constitutional republic, It goes by the wayside and we may never get it back.
Right, let's drill down on this for the last couple of minutes we have with you.
I've had some of the big names on this show here, you know who they are, and a couple of them have said offline when they agreed to come on, yeah, I'll talk about my channel, I'll talk about guns, but I won't do politics, okay?
And I've said to a couple of them who are slowly coming over that, dude, if you make your living out of guns, you're already in a political sphere because there are those who want to cancel you and take your guns.
Would you agree with my assessment, Jared?
100%.
This is our right.

An underrated film at the time, and like many others that we have reviewed, utterly in a category of its own.
To discuss, my co-host in Making Movies Great Again, from an undisclosed location, because he's always on the run, Chris Coles, the host of the Alpha Critic and the Mr. Reagan YouTube channels.
Welcome back to Making Movies Great Again.
Well, it's great to be back.
You know, it's my favorite time of the week.
We get to talk about films from the 80s, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later.
But, you know, back when movies were great.
Love it.
All right, so you chose this movie.
This has been a favorite of my family since the first time we ever watched it together.
Like so many I mean, I don't know, maybe 80, 90% of the films we review here, they just, they're in their own category.
They don't fall into anything obvious when it comes to a taxonomy.
They have influenced so many other films after them.
And many of the films reviewed have not been a success when they came out, like this one.
Tell me why you chose The Princess Bride, Chris.
Well, you know, I like to change it up, do something a little bit lighthearted occasionally.
You know, I like these films that are funny.
I like comedy.
I feel like comedy is like a high IQ art.
It doesn't have to sound high IQ.
You don't have to be high IQ to get a joke.
But to craft really good comedy, I think you need to be pretty smart.
And so, I don't know, just something about comedy that I've always, always loved.
Now, I love a great action film.
I love, you know, a mystery.
I love, you know, darker films sometimes.
But every once in a while, you gotta keep it light.
You gotta just have a nice movie that you can eat some popcorn to and just have a laugh, you know?
Yeah, and this is the people who were in it.
If you watch interviews with the likes of Carrie Elwes and Robin Wright and Manny Patinkin, they say that this is, you know, their Wizard of Oz.
This is a fantasy tale that works for children as much as it works for adults and also tells eternal stories.
Because what really is this movie?
Yes, it's action.
Yes, it's comedy.
But if you're asked to describe what's it really about, It's about a phrase we use in my family a lot.
So many of these lines become, you know, eternal bon mot.
It's about to blave, as I say to my wife a lot.
It's about true love, is it not?
To blave!
This is a story about the immortality of true love.
Yeah, you know what?
There's actually a variety of different, I guess, social dynamics at play here that have been layered on top of each other by this brilliant writer.
And he took simple dynamics that are eternally powerful.
Right?
Like this grandfather reading to his grandson.
It's a powerful social dynamic.
It's very important to just about every culture, every civilization across the globe from the dawn of time.
Obviously, there's the love story.
That's the most obvious one.
Then you got these three guys who become instant friends and then storm a castle together, you know?
Beautiful dynamic.
And then you've got the dynamic of just the pure-hearted hero going after the soulless
villain, the absolute pure embodiment of evil.
And these social dynamics work in stories since forever, since the—like I said, since
There's so many stories that have these elements.
And William Goldman, he looked at these stories and he said, okay, let's take all those dynamics, put them all together in one simple story and see how it works.
And you know what?
It works really, really well.
And one great thing about this movie, and okay, there's a little bit of an elephant in the room here.
I don't know if people are aware of this.
I'm sure you're aware of it, but this film was made, was directed by a man that I find utterly detestable.
Yeah.
He's Rob Reiner.
A lunatic.
A lunatic.
He's constantly on Twitter just going on about these crazy ideas.
He hates Donald Trump.
But you know what?
There was a time when even he would make a movie like this with these eternal themes, with these great social dynamics.
And you know what?
You know what's crazy about a movie like this?
Because it was, it's a product of its time.
Yeah.
You know, everyone in this movie, this is a crazy thought, every single actor in this movie is white.
Oh my gosh!
And one of them, the torturer, is very white!
It's like albino or something.
But you know what?
It's like, it's a simple idea.
But the thing is, it's not a racist movie.
Nobody was making this movie and thought, oh, you know, we don't have any black people and it's going to be racist.
They just thought, okay, it's a European movie.
It's set in Europe, a fantasy version of Europe with sort of fantasy creatures.
You know, it's going to have European characters, right?
And they didn't think twice about it because it was the 1980s.
And as much as I'm nostalgic for this film, because I watched it as a kid and I loved it as a kid, I'm also kind of just nostalgic for a time in which you could make a movie like this with these kind of eternal themes, with this kind of, like, traditional morality.
And just, like, cast the characters that make sense for the parts, you know?
So I was going to save this to the end, but you've brought it up.

Now, this is interesting because if you watch the interviews with them at the time and a few years later, so, you know, late 80s, 87, early 90s, they say stuff No, I don't.
have them banned from Hollywood for life.
Robin Wright in an interview said, well, what is the princess bride?
It's the ultimate girl's dream.
The damsel who's saved by the handsome hero.
Could you imagine any female actor saying that sentence today, Chris?
No, I don't.
And you know, I talk about this quite a bit when it comes to these kinds of movies where
these days you would almost always get, and this is bizarre to me, but it's so common
now, you will almost always get the female character rescuing the male character.
So many movies, so many shows that I've seen this in the last few years.
And it's like, listen, guys, historically, Women wanted to be taken care of by men.
If they were in a bad situation, they wanted the man to come to the rescue.
That's what men have always done since the dawn of time.
Maybe we don't actually rescue them from a villain or a dangerous animal or something
like that, but we take care of women.
And it's sort of the female fantasy that the man takes care of them in this very heroic
way.
And it's also a male fantasy to be able to rescue a woman in this very heroic way.
So you're feeding both fantasies with this.
When you flip it, you feed no fantasies and you're just, I don't know, giving people nothing
of what they really want.
You know?
Oh, again, he's done it already.

Chris, the humour here...
You said at the beginning you know comedy is an intellectual activity it doesn't have to be very highbrow but to write good comedy like that and to deliver it in that dry fashion that is that takes a lot of skill and it says something about this movie Chris that we could sit down right now for the rest of the show we could recite Individual sentences that have become eternal, you know, just a word.
If I say inconceivable, everybody immediately knows what I'm talking about, right?
I mean, that tells you the quality of the original William Goldman book and also the script.
Yeah.
You know, watching it this time around, I really haven't seen this movie since I was a kid.
It's not a perfect movie.
I can get into some of my criticisms of the film.
But the humor does hold up.
If you've never seen the film before, if you've never heard of The Princess Bride, you've probably heard a couple of phrases here and there.
But the ones that we remember, right, the ones that have sort of like entered into the, you know, into the culture, really, the cultural language that we use, these phrases, these jokes from this film, they were so great that they became this cultural phenomenon that people would repeat lines from this movie.
My brother, to this day, goes, MAAHWIDGE!
I don't know.
Like, to me, that character's like the least funny character in the thing, but my brother always loved it.
No, no, my wife and I, we often do the, what brings us together, MAAHWIDGE!
So your brother is not alone.
No, no, I saw there's millions of Americans who mimic that particular voice, but there are so many jokes in this film, so many little comedic moments that I forgot, you know, because they're so overshadowed by these iconic ones that are, you know, that are part of the culture now.
And so you watch through it again, and I find myself actually laughing more at the jokes I didn't remember.
Well, I mean, of course I do, because of course the ones that I remember are old hat from me now.
But yeah, there's so many little jokes, so many little moments, and stuff that I didn't really get as a kid probably, you know, that I'm getting now.
I'm like, oh, that's pretty clever.
That's pretty funny.
And yeah, it's not a perfect film.
Like normally, I guess the really good films that we review, and not all of them are like super great movies, But the ones that we watch that are classics, and I would consider this film a classic, usually I come on and I say, you know what made this a classic?
Everything was perfect.
The production value was perfect.
The cinematography was perfect.
The writing was perfect.
The acting was perfect.
Everything's perfect.
This film isn't actually like that, I would say.
This film has some inconsistencies.
There's like, for one thing, the music is a little bit Weird, right?
It's almost like produced by one guy on like a Casio synthesizer.
It's just not the robust score that you would expect from a great film like this.
And then like some of the props or some of the sets look like they were taken from like the original Star Trek TV show.
Like the rocks are obviously fake.
I mean, like they're in a real forest and then like a moment later, they're clearly on a set.
Those inconsistencies It kind of works because it's like a magical story about a fantasy world.
But it isn't perfect.
It isn't exactly what you would expect from a film like this.
And yet it still really works on on maybe some other kind of a level, because we are watching a movie.
It is a little bit of a, you know, a fantasy thing.
It is fiction.
But it's all sold well, I think, because of the acting and because the performance is sober.
I think there's two really great things.
The acting and the performing of this of this project and the writing.
I think those two things work.
And it's a little bit of a silly story, but when you get a silly story, like Star Wars is a good example as well, and then you get actors that really take these roles seriously and sell it, magic can happen.
Because we all want to believe in, you know, kind of silly, wonderful childhood ideas, and when an actor comes in and really sells it and makes it believable and makes it real, I think it's kind of joyful.
It's a joyful experience.
Yeah, no, there is something magical about it, and of course there's a reason that even single words become eternally associated with this movie.
Here we have Wallace Shawn who is Vicini with Inigo Montoya explaining to him
you know you might be a genius but your sense of grammar may be a little bit off
That's a very good answer.
Leave it to me!
He didn't fall?
Inconceivable!
You keep using that word.
I don't think it means what you think it means.
I do not think it means what you think it means.
To your point of, you know, they have this incredible scenery.
They're in England.
They're in a real castle.
And then they'll move to the place full of Star Trek boulders made of polystyrene, clearly.
And when he does the backflip off the pole, you see him land, and the rocks actually bounce because it's a wooden floor.
But at the same time, I don't know about you, it doesn't take me out of it.
Because this is a fantasy.
You've got the, you know, rodents of unusual size.
You've got the fire swamp.
So it's all kind of, it's okay.
The music, I'll admit, is a little bit jarring.
Like, it's actually Mark Knopfler who did the music.
And it's a little bit plinky, kind of, as you said, on a Casio synthesizer.
But if the story is good, if the acting is good, if the concept it's based upon is really exciting, then it's Doesn't really matter that much, does it?
No, no, no.
And, you know, I was actually thinking about this synthesizer thing.
I called Kurt, talked about how he loves this movie.
This was actually his choice, and I said, as you wish, and so we did the project.
You know, we were talking about, and it was kind of like a throwback a little bit to like the old Robin Hood movies, right?
Where you had this very sort of simplistic score.
And I think maybe they were trying to emulate that, but maybe update it to be a little bit more 80s.
They're not using these, you know, simple instruments like live instruments now.
They're using this, you know, synthetic keyboard to try to create a more 80s version of that.
That's kind of the excuse that we were able to draw up.
For this kind of, I guess a soundtrack that I would say doesn't really hold up today.
So maybe there was a reason for it.
But yeah, that's probably the weakest link in the chain here.
It does.
I would agree with you that the music is, it could have been a little bit more bombastic or a little bit more finely tuned.
But it doesn't take us out, not seriously.
That's why we're celebrating, and that's why Kurt picked it.
It is The Princess Bride.

Let's talk about the cast here.
Quite an ensemble cast, from Andre the Giant to the likes of Mr. Crystal.
Pretty well chosen, don't you agree, Chris?
Oh man, yeah.
I actually watched a little bit of a behind-the-scenes thing about this and the different kinds of cast members they're trying to choose before they got this cast.
And like every once in a while, in a film, they just get darn lucky, you know?
And with this film, so many great actors came together to produce this.
I think Mandy Patinkin is a really underrated actor.
I used to watch him in a show called Criminal Minds, and like the first season he was in it, and then he switched to some other show.
But he was such a great actor, and in this he's really fantastic.
The actor that plays Wesley, you really believe that he's the pure-hearted guy that he needs to be to be the love interest to this beautiful princess who is also perfectly cast.
She got a little crazy in her old age, but when she was young, she seemed very perfect for this part.
Andre the Giant really stands out in this film.
I don't remember any other film that he's in.
I'm sure he was in some other things.
But this is really his quintessential role.
Everybody remembers Andre the Giant from this movie.
Everybody loves him from this movie.
And for good reason.
He's absolutely fantastic.
Yeah, I think the only other things he did is he played monsters in other fantasy movies.
I don't think... Later we'll discuss... I have a photograph of him I've sent Eric.
We'll show for a special reason.
Yeah, I'm surprised.
An amazing cast.
I agree.
I saw Mandy Patinkin in a solo show here in DC.
An amazing entertainer and musician.
Should have had more success.
And what about Carrie Elwes?
So this is a person who...
His career was kind of made, he says, was made by this movie or should have been.
And then what has he done since then?
He was in the first Saw horror movie, no thank you very much.
He had a tiny bit part in Bram Stoker's Dracula by Coppola.
And then he played this kind of B-movie villain in a movie that we might have to review, Twister, that I love.
He is really.
I don't know about you, Chris, but I love the movies of, you know, the likes of Errol Flynn.
This guy is Errol Flynn reborn.
He should have gone far, don't you think?
He really should have.
And I actually met him once.
He was on a set.
I was doing some like background work in Hollywood and I And I spoke to him for a minute.
Really nice guy as well.
Just a really a true gentleman.
And I think maybe it was like he looked too much like Brad Pitt.
Like Brad Pitt was kind of coming up at the same time as he was.
And then like Brad Pitt got all the Brad Pitt roles and he kind of was just like disappeared.
I don't know.
Today, you don't really get casts like this.
I don't really know why.
There was a point maybe where they decided they didn't want to hire good-looking people for movies anymore or something like that.
So, you know, the ones that were already there maybe were set up the big movie stars and they started hiring kind of weird-looking folks.
But yeah, this is like a really, you know, handsome guy, beautiful girl.
You know, this is the kind of traditional love story that you would expect to see in a Hollywood movie from the 30s or the 50s or something like that.
And now they're doing it here in the 80s.
And I don't know, I feel like the 80s was the last era.
You know, I don't want to really go, you know, dwell on this too much, these overarching stories and these different ideas.
But it was like the last era, the 1980s, when you had Traditional values were like the thing like that was like normal.
Yeah.
And then anything outside of that anything that like was trying to be provocative or you know, push the envelope of what was ethical was just a little bit outside normal traditional values.
It seems like today we've just taken traditional values and just thrown them in the bin and forgot about them.
I mean, yes, there are individual families, probably certain regions of the country that respect traditional values more than others.
I mean, I lived in L.A.
for 12 years.
There's nowhere to be found.
It's like, I think the internet to some degree kind of just made us such a consumerist society that now everything is disposable.
And it's really quite sad because for thousands and thousands of years, human beings have relied on tradition.
They've relied on looking back at what their grandparents did and said, we want to be more like them.
And it's not until I think our age right now, like 2024, that we're just like looking at the world and saying, you know what?
Forget everything that ever happened in the past.
We're just going to, you know, respect ourselves.
We're the greatest thing that ever existed and there's nothing ever came before.
Right.
You know, movies like this, they just don't make them anymore and they don't cast actors like this anymore and it's just sad.
It's just a shame, I think.
Yeah, I do think, I mean we can save this for a longer discussion on the regular radio show America First, but I think the cracks are starting to form.
What's happened to Star Wars, to Star Trek, to Marvel.
People have kind of had it with the woke denial of these eternal stories and these eternal themes.
And that's why this movie is a cult classic.
I mean, what are we, like, we'll be 40 years, in three years time, it'll be 40 years ago that this movie was made.
How come we're talking about it?
Because of those eternal values and eternal themes.
We're making movies great again.
I'm Sebastian Gawker.
My co-host is Chris Coles.
I'm coming to you from TheReliefFactor.com studios.
All right, Eric told me he doesn't understand this scene.
This is a core legendary scene in our family.
When we want to have some fun, we just look at each other and we say, Queen of Putrescence!
Hit it.
Boo!
Why do you do this?
Because you had love in your hands!
And you gave it up!
But they would have killed Wesley if I hadn't done it.
Your true love lives!
And you marry another!
True love saved her in the fire swamp and she treated it like garbage!
And that's what she is!
The Queen of Refuse!
So bow down to her if you want!
Bow to her!
Bow to the Queen of Slime!
The Queen of Filth!
The Queen of Putrescence!
Boo!
Boo!
Rubbish!
Filth!
Slime!
Muck!
Boo!
The Queen of Slime and Nightmare Sequence.
I don't know about anybody else.
Mandy Katympkin, Andre the Giant, Christopher Guest.
That woman, the hag from the Nightmare Sequence, should have got an Oscar.
That was quite some acting here.
All right, I'm going to say something a little bit dangerous.
I got in trouble with my wife today.
I love this cast.
Great cast.
Yes, they're all woke lunatics today.
I don't think Buttercup is that pretty.
Should I be slapped on the wrist for that statement?
You know, she's... I actually don't want to respond to that.
Ooh!
Ooh!
I've managed to get the man who fears nothing, who fears nothing, who will make videos about the attempts to assassinate our president, and he's not going to react to that statement.
Is he trying to get work again in Hollywood?
What's going on?
I just think it's just so... It's just such a...
Say that a woman's not that pretty.
She is very pretty in this movie.
I think she's very, she's very sort of, I don't know, she's got a sort of lightness to her, a sort of fairness, you might say.
I think she works in the role, for sure.
But certainly, like, once she gets to, like, Forrest Gump.
Oh, yeah, I'm not talking about what happened to her.
She had a very tough life and, you know, it took a toll on her.
But for me, Anyway, I won't cause trouble for you.
We will move on.
We won't discuss the relative merits of Buttercup.
It's just, you know, this guy is just classically handsome.
He literally is the reborn Errol Flynn.
And this woman isn't, you know, Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe, or anything else.
She doesn't have that kind of smack you in the face.
Yeah, OK.
I'll leave it.
Let's move on.
OK, let's talk about some other cosplay.
She's got nice hair.
She has nice hair.
She does have nice hair.
She's got nice hair.
She's got pretty good features.
She's sort of my type, so I think she's okay.
She looks like the classic princess.
Okay, we'll say she's Rapunzel.
She's a classic princess.
Let's talk about some of the other people in the movie or who were considered for the movie.
So the book is, of course, William Goldman.
You have to read the book.
It's super fun.
The movie was in development hell for 12 years, being sold from studio to studio.
Goldman, at one point, was so desperate he bought the movie rights of his book back from the studio that currently had it.
They wanted, originally, Andre the Giant... If you want to see...
Something that's really tough to watch.
The documentary, I think I watched it online on YouTube or somewhere, the documentary on the life of Andre the Giant.
This man lived a tough life, a hard life.
He died very, very young at the age of 46.
Most of this filming here he couldn't do any of the physical work even when he's You know, carrying around Wesley on his back.
That had to be a much smaller, lighter stuntman.
He couldn't even catch Robin Wright, you know, as it is portrayed when she jumps off the castle parapets.
A man who was in pain for most of his life as a professional wrestler.
But who was meant to play him originally when he wasn't that famous?
We have a photograph of somebody who was meant to play it and it was Arnold Schwarzenegger was meant to be Fezzik, and there you can see him next to Andre Giant.
Andre the Giant makes Arnold look tiny, doesn't he, Chris?
Andre the Giant really was a giant.
I mean, that's the thing.
People don't maybe know about Andre the Giant anymore.
Maybe they do.
I don't know.
There's obviously the famous Obey Icon, I don't know if you were aware of this, but that is actually a sort of stylized version of Andre the Giant's face.
It's Shepard Fairey, I think, is the artist that does that.
But yeah, Andre the Giant was really a phenomenon back in the day.
I think the biggest, at the time it was called the WWF, World Wrestling Federation.
Andre the Giant was a wrestler.
And Hulk Hogan was his nemesis, right?
And I think that like the biggest ever WrestleMania event in history was Andre the Giant versus Hulk Hogan.
And at the time in the 80s, this was a big deal.
People loved wrestling.
I think it was even on like NBC or something like a really like a mainstream network.
Andre the Giant was a phenomenon at the time, and as well he should be, because he was a
really a great man, as everybody attests, he was a very good person, and he was just
a absolute giant, a real true giant.
And a gentle giant, if you watch the interviews of the people who acted with him, it was tough
for him to be that character, Andre the Giant, because he was meant to be the villain in
He was meant to be, you know, booed at, and Hulk Hogan was the hero.
But in private life, an utterly sweet, sweet individual, a man that shuffled off this mortal coil far, far too early.
And of course, my favorite, My dad's favorite.
I watched all of the shows when I was a kid.
Well, Columbo is the grandfather.
So Peter Falk, a very short part with Fred Savage, the grandson, but a perfect, another perfect piece of casting.
We're talking the Princess Bride.
I'm Sebastian Gawker.
My co-host is Chris Coles of the Mr. Regan and Alpha Critic channels.
Follow them.

And Bob?
That's right.
When I was your age, television was called books.
And this is a special book.
It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father.
And today, I'm gonna read it to you.
Is there any sports in it?
Are you kidding?
Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles, Doesn't sound too bad.
And then, literally five minutes later, the kid interrupts and said, is this a kissing book?
I don't want no kissing!
That is, of course, Peter Falk, the amazing Peter Falk, who's just credited as the grandfather in the movie, talking to the kid who would become a bit of a legend himself, Fred Savage.
All right, final thoughts on The Princess Bride and then we'll play one of the most famous clips as well.
You said you had a few issues with it beyond the music.
Is there anything else that you found a little jarring or you would do differently if, God forbid, somebody made a remake?
Well, like I just said, the sets were a little bit... Star Trek.
Styrofoamy in places.
Star Trek-y, yeah.
But no, I mean, like you said, none of the problems really ruined the film.
It kind of just goes to show with really good acting and a really good story, you can kind of get away with a lot, which is nice.
And I gotta say, with the grandfather and the Fred Savage character, A beautiful framing device, a beautiful framing device works really, really well for this story.
They're kind of used a little bit more heavily at the beginning and then a little bit at the end.
Not so much, you know, it kind of becomes less and less throughout and you really get enveloped into the story, but it's a good way.
And also, it's kind of fun because if you're a little boy watching this, you don't really care about the kissing scenes yourself.
And so it's kind of fun when this happens and Fred Savage jumps in and he's like, hey, what is this?
I don't want to hear about this.
That's great.
And not to I don't want to out Fred Savage or the Savage family, but let's just say that, you know, I've lived in Hollywood.
I meet people.
I know people.
And it's a good family, the Savage family.
Oh, good to know.
We love to hear that.
All right.
Some more decent people in Hollywood.
Good people.
Good people.
So what's left?
We have to discuss.
We have to rate it a little bit.
What else do we need to know?
Oh, how did it do?
Not very successful.
It cost a mere $16 million to make and only netted $30 million.
And that was, I think, if you add up all the VHS sales and the LaserDiscs and everything later.
So at the time, the people advertising it Promoting it.
Had no idea how to promote it.
Because it is an unusual kind of comedy, adventure, fantasy.
Can't slot it into the obvious advertising category.
So really, it wasn't advertising as such.
Was a flop when it came out.
But now, as you said, is a cult, cult classic.
Read the original book.
And also, most recently, I think last year, I read Cary Elwes' book.
It's a fun read.
It's a quick read.
You can read it in a couple of hours.
As you wish, inconceivable tales from the making of The Princess Bride.
A real, you know, behind-the-scenes look of how this crazy movie was made for a shoestring in England, on location, and in the legendary Shepperton Studios.
Okay, so how do we rate this out of ten?
Is it out of...
Iocane capsules or out of Magic Max chocolate resurrection pills?
What should we choose?
Yeah, or, or...
What was the kind of sword that he uses?
Oh, the saber.
Shall we do, you know, a handmade... A saber, yeah.
Okay, let's do it.
So, we rate it, you rate it for a modern audience, I rate it in the eternal canon of movies, best movies ever made.
So, let's do it out of handmade six-fingered swordsman sabers.
What is your rating out of 10, Chris Coles?
Well, I gotta say, you know, me watching it as a kid, absolutely loved it.
Like you say, there's so many lines to this film that are repeated constantly.
So it's a difficult one to rate.
I was trying to think of this while I was watching the film, and it was really difficult for me to think, are people gonna like it these days?
I started out a little bit higher.
I think I'll probably have to drop it down just slightly because it does, it does feel dated, especially with the music.
So I'll give it, I'll give it, but it is a fun movie.
It's a fun movie.
So I'll give it eight Inigo Montoya swords.
Oh, all right.
I don't think we've ever done this before, except when we agree on 10 out of 10s together.
But you know, that's a snap.
I think in the canon of movies, I'm going to, no bias here, just because I like it a lot, I too am going to give it eight Inigo Montoya handmade Dueling Swords out of 10.
Alright, we have a match there.
Do you see Rob Reiner?
Even though we can't stand you...
We recognize that you did something good in the world.
So this is the big difference.
Thank you for adding that.
If you're a Rob Reiner, you would never give a known conservative movie maker or an actor's performance 8 out of 10 because you're a lunatic and that's why we're better.
You are driven by hate and we are driven by love.
So that is why we will win.
You're a lunatic and we live in the real world.
But we Don't hate you because we love all of God's creation, even the nutcases.
All right, my choice next, where are we gonna go?
I've got this list, this burgeoning list of movies in front of me where people call in and especially on Thursdays and Fridays they give me Uh, lists of, or their recommendations, but sitting at the third pole position here on the top of my list for months now is a movie that I just love.
It is an utter complete part of my childhood.
Um, I'm sure it's going to make Jeff very, very happy.
Uh, are you ready to travel in time?
I'm excited.
Okay.
Um, we had some prosthetics in this movie, but nothing like the prosthetics in the movie about to come up.
Damn you all to hell!
Get your dirty paws off me you stinking ape!
It is gonna be... Planet of the Apes.
Are you ready Chris Coles?
You're never gonna believe this.
Because I'm the biggest fan in the world of Twilight Zone.
Yeah.
I have never seen, from beginning to end, I've never seen Planet of the Apes.
Rod Serling wrote the original script, dude!
Come on!
I'm aware!
I'm aware!
And I don't know, I think it's because I know the ending, and it's always annoyed me that I couldn't be surprised by that ending.
All right, don't ruin it for anybody else, but okay.
