So we've got the unbelievable report from the Pentagon last week dropped just before an Easter weekend that there were no problems in Afghanistan, no chaos.
We're going to analyze that not only with Colonel Kurt Schlichter, but also the man who was in charge of preparedness in the Pentagon for President Trump and then rose to the cabinet level as the Secretary for Veterans Affairs.
We're going to get their take.
Since then we've had the leak of the top secret documents with regards to Ukraine.
Incredible photographs of classified maps being released.
How did somebody have a camera in a location That had classified documents.
If you're in a skiff you're not even allowed to have one of those Fitbit watches on you.
You're not even allowed to have an iWatch on you.
But somebody gets a camera into a location with US Classified maps of Ukraine, including the disposition of our troops and the estimates of casualties on both sides.
Staying with the Defense Department, absolutely shocking story.

Headline Daily Caller, Walter Reed, National Military Medical Center, issues a cease and desist order to Catholics.
Yeah.
Think about how evil, how truly demonic and dastardly you are, that you are going to cease and desist Catholic Church support to our veterans in need, our wounded and sick veterans at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Don't tell me there isn't a war on the culture, a war on Christians, whether it's the murder of six, including three beautiful nine-year-olds at the Presbyterian Covenant School in Nashville, the private Christian school, or whether it's Catholic services being denied At the primary center for the support of our military?
But we know it's all part and parcel of the assault against conservatives.
From Fox News, headline, FBI documents associate internet slang like based and red pill with extremism.
So if you use the phrase red-pilled from the Matrix movies, or based, our friend Jim Hansen, former Green Beret, wrote a book with the title Get Based.
If you use phrases like that on social media, you can be labeled as an extremist.
I wonder if Biden saying he's going to stay in office for seven years, he's going to stay in office for eight or nine years, if that's deemed extremism by the FBI.
Good news with regards to one serviceman, the sergeant, Daniel Perry, U.S.
Army sergeant, who July 25, 2020, was accosted by a Black Lives Matter and Antifa group of rioters, one of whom leveled an AK-47 at his vehicle.
At which point, quite rightly, especially given Texas's Stand Your Ground laws, he drew his concealed weapon and killed Garrett Foster, who was armed with that AK-47.
That individual, a year after he was cleared of any, any malpractice in that event, was charged by a Soros-funded prosecutor, again, just like Alvin Bragg, was charged with murder.
If that case, which found him guilty, goes through, we have the news that is driving the left insane over the weekend, that the Governor, Governor Greg Abbott of the Great Lone Star State, is recommending to swiftly pardon Army Sergeant Daniel Perry, should they go through with that conviction and deem that he has to serve time in jail.
Sheer, utter insanity.

As the facts have come out, as I suggested when I spoke about it, The FBI was opposed to conducting the search.
They weren't involved in launching the search.
But also, those steps were taken after a long period, about a year and a half, of trying to get the documents from him, which he had no claim to.
He had no claim to those documents, especially the classified documents.
They belonged to the government.
And so I think he was jerking the government around, and they subpoenaed it, and they tried to jawbone him into delivery of the documents, but the government is investigating the extent to which games were played, and there was obstruction in keeping the documents from them.
And I think that's a serious potential case.
I think they probably have some very good evidence there.

You know, the left is always talking about the ills of politicizing the criminal justice system.

It was in Louisville.
The mayor of Louisville is and the governor of Kentucky are holding a press conference right now with regards to the shooting earlier today in the old National Bank in Louisville.
I just want to put up a couple of images.
The shooter has been identified.

He is Connor Sturgeon.
23-year-old employee.
I think the reports are contradictory whether he was an employee or is an employee.
He was at a meeting inside the bank at 8 o'clock, 8.30 this morning, pulled out some kind of weapon, killed numerous members of staff, shot two police officers as well.
I have to commend them according to initial reports.
Within three minutes the police were there.
And I want to share with you not just the image of Connor Sturgeon.
I want to share with you what somebody, again this is unconfirmed, but it hasn't been gainsaid by anybody in the last two and a half hours since I posted it.
Somebody found A Reddit account under the same name as Conor Sturgeon's Twitter account, which has already been nuked.
His Twitter account has been... It's amazing!
I wonder who does it?
Who goes in there within minutes of such an event and then nukes the site?
The Reddit site, two posts were sent to me.
The first one is pro-lockdown, pro-Covid lockdown.
The other one is an anti-Trump post.
So it's clear we're talking about a Democrat.
And then lastly, the LinkedIn image.
Do we have the LinkedIn image?
This is the Louisville killer, Conor Sturgeon, has his pronouns proudly displayed after his name.
Let's analyze that and so much more with our good friend, his senior contributor, senior columnist with our buddies at townhall.com, the author most recently of Inferno, Colonel Kirchlichter.
I suggested today a red flag for national security purposes.
If somebody proudly displays their pronouns on social media, I think that could be a red flag.
Well, look, I mean, this guy is obviously some sort of leftist weirdo.
And we've had horrible experiences with leftist weirdos recently.
You know, I like the old rules where everyone could get together and condemn a scumbag murderer who shoots innocent people.
That would be the rule that I wanted.
But unfortunately, that's not the rule.
The rule is attempt to leverage it for political advantage.
So let's go with the new rules.
This one, leftists, belongs to you.
And I don't believe that we're required, morally or otherwise, to disarm For some reason to make ourselves more vulnerable to the psychopathic killers who are your constituents.
And the idea that we have all week since the Nashville shooting, Colonel Kaye, we have the White House making statements about how they stand with the trans community.
Never once mentioned the trans identity of the child killer, and never mentioning the Christian school as a Christian school, and making more statements.
The Democrat Party en bloc, Colonel Kane, making more statements.
about the Tennessee Three who staged their own attempted insurrection in the State House, two of whom were ejected, talking more about them, those rabble-rousers, than they did about the victims at that Christian school.
Surely that tells you everything you need to know about how radicalized the Democrats have become.
Well, it certainly does.
When they essentially excuse the murder of Christian men, women, and children, you know, I mean, it's obvious.
And, you know, it's time to draw a line and understand who we're facing.
OK, these people, giving them the benefit of the doubt, the best you're going to get is they just don't care.

But, you know, you and I both are on social media occasionally, and we both saw leftists gleeful over the murder of Christian men, women and children.
And, you know, when somebody tells me he wants to kill me, I take them seriously, even if they're running their mouths like that guitarist for Bruce Springsteen who want to, quote, exterminate Republicans.
Yeah, exterminate and exterminate.
That's Van Zandt wanting to exterminate Republican cockroaches is what he called us before he.
Well, that sounds familiar.

You have been making leftist heads explode with the news out of Texas.
The army sergeant who was cleared of any wrongdoing when he shot a BLM, we have the image of the BLM Antifa rioter who pulled an AK-47 on him as he was driving his Uber, shot this guy to death.
And then Sergeant Perry, A year after he was cleared, was charged with murder by another Soros DA, and now the governor of Texas says, slow down, slow down, I am getting ready to pardon this Sergeant Perry.
Your reaction to the whole stinking story?
Look, we conservatives operate under a presumption of normalcy.
And what happens is the leftists, the Cultural Marxists, find a weakness And their weakness was the great discretion that is given to prosecutors.
And we, Democrat, Republican, usually they would take their job fairly seriously.
Not perfect, but usually fairly seriously.
Until Soros bought them and put in leftists in there who free criminals and make it a point to prosecute normal citizens exercising their right to self-defense, to send the message that you better not protect yourself.
That's what happened here.
Governor Abbott was absolutely correct.
And every red state governor needs to understand when you start hearing them say, well, a jury decided, okay, presumption of normalcy, that's gone.
It's not 20 years ago.
It's today, and there's a different reality, and the people running these institutions are using them against us.
They're not neutral.
They're not unbiased.
They are opponents.
And that's why we need to use the power we have, like the power to pardon, which is complicated in Texas, but I admire Governor Abbott for going towards it.
We have to use the power that we have to stop the injustices and eventually reign these people in.
It is not normal.
The times are not normal.

The recourse, though, is not individual.
Prosecutors are totally immune.

The recourse is to stop pretending this is normal times.
And in red states, make sure our because as governors of red states, we will have the power.
They all have these blue cities inside them.
We need the governors to have pardon power to undo this stuff.
And we need to them to take the power to fire prosecutors who refuse to do the right thing.
And that's how you do it.
You don't pretend it's normal.
You don't pretend it's, you know, we we're still about the DA's, you know, honestly doing their job.
We need to recognize that they're not and change the system to close that loophole that they found and have exploited ruthlessly.
So it's just it's purely a political tool.

It's the application of power.
And we need to apply it back.

Two police officers were shot in the bank incident earlier today.
One of them is in critical condition and he only started the job.
He only put on the uniform March 31st.

Catholic servicemen and women can't be given pastoral care at Walter Reed, and DoD did this in Holy Week?
Look, I understand that bureaucracies, including the Defense Department, screw up on a regular basis.
How I know this was intentional is that no one at the White House saw this on Friday, said, what the hell, and had the Chief of Staff call over to the Pentagon and say, are you blanking kidding me?
And of course, if it was President Schlichter, I would have said, General Milley, I'm going to be at Walter Reed for a Catholic service by those Franciscans and to review their executed contract at 5 p.m.

There is a term known as agency non-acquiescence, and this has been used for folks saying this is a first, that this is a precedent setting.

God willing, if we win the election, we can just ignore the courts.

I would say to you, it is those who say, it doesn't matter what the system tells you, what the decision of duly empowered judges and juries tells you.
In this case, the judge has said no.

Remember, if Trump wins, and I suspect he will, he can undo every single one of Biden's executive orders the first day.
So the executive orders don't matter.
There's zero possibility that the House Republicans and Speaker Kevin McCarthy are going to pass anything that's permanent that makes the left feel good.
And very great likelihood they're going to insist on passing things that begin to roll back the extremism.
So, you know, I look out there.
Remember, Michigan is a great case that nobody has studied.
The two most likely candidates for governor were both knocked off the ballot and were not allowed to run.
Again, very much like what they're trying to do to Trump.
I think Michigan would not have been this democratic had they not frankly rigged the entire election by knocking these two candidates off the ballot.
I see a country where the country is clearly moving away from the extremists.
Even in New York, we now have a Republican majority in the U.S.
House because we kept picking up seats in New York in the Congress.
And Lee Zeldin ran a great race and I suspect will win the next governor's race.
Maybe I'm a permanent optimist because I'm a Reaganite.

But I think the American people in the end will beat the extremists.

There's a reason why I say Gritch Whitmer is arguably the most authoritarian governor in the country.
So in 2022, of course, she's up for re-election.
The original Republican frontrunner for the nomination against her was James Craig, the former chief of the Detroit Police Department.
Polls had him as the frontrunner for the nomination, and a buddy of mine in Michigan who's very in tune with Michigan GOP politics said he believed Craig could have beaten her in the general.
So what happened?
Whitmer's Secretary of State determined that Craig and four other Republicans were not qualified for the ballot due to not enough valid signatures.
He tried to write a running campaign and ultimately didn't make it.
So do you concur with Newt's analysis?
I absolutely do, 100%, because actually the second thing that gets even crazier about that, as he mentioned, the second frontrunner after Craig was no longer running was a guy named Ryan Kelly, who was the planning commissioner for Allendale Township.
Poles had him as the next frontrunner, then suddenly, a couple months before the primary, oh, they just found footage of him from January 6th!
They had him arrested!
Footage of him doing what?
Was he, you know, bashing somebody's head in with a fire extinguisher, Eric?
They never specified.
They just said, oh, we just found proof that he was there on January 6th.
They never specified the crime.
Sounds familiar these days, doesn't it?
They just said, oh, he's got to be arrested, and they took him out of the running that way.

Secretary Wilkie, before we talk about Taiwan, the story of the leaks over the weekend of these classified maps, which had the numbers, dispositions of troops, numbers of our special forces in theater were not just U.S. non-form, numbers of our special forces in theater were not just U.S. non-form, they're also, sorry, not foreigners, also allied and They were photographs of big maps on a wall.
When I worked in the White House, when you ran the VA, we forget, you know, phones.
You couldn't take a Fitbit into a Skiff.
So how is this happening?
Well, it's in addition to the diplomatic cables between the United States, Israel, Japan, South Korea, UK, Italy, that blows a hole open with our allies.
They can't trust us.
How serious is this?
I think it's incredibly serious.
One, because it shows that this administration, and Kirby's back at the podium right now, this administration is the most strategically incompetent group of people who have ever been in the White House.
Jimmy Carter, they have nothing on this crowd.
Jimmy Carter must be grateful that these guys are running.
He must be.
He's no longer the worst.
And you think about it, he had the gumption to say, I was wrong.
And in the last two years, he gave us the Minuteman III, he gave us the Abrams tank, the B-1 bomb.
He said I was wrong.
This crowd won't.
And just on Kirby, I was looking at the Kyra on the screen, the fact that they even had to create this position of NSC, National Security Council Coordinated Strategic Communications.
We didn't have that.
No.
That means you're in so much trouble, you have to create a position to extricate yourself, if you can, from these disasters.
So this is incompetence on a cosmic scale and I would argue that we have not seen the world at this point since the 60s and early 70s.
When the Soviets were on the rampage in Africa, Cuba, Israel was threatened by the Soviet Union.
Of course, Nixon stopped that.
And then we had Afghanistan.
The U.S.
was in retreat all across the globe.
We're in retreat now in the face of a multi-headed foe led by the People's Republic of China.
Let's talk about China, the significance as we, you know, woke up to the news at the weekend of battleships, dozens of planes, incursions into Taiwanese airspace.
Again, give us your estimation.
How serious is this situation?
It's a serious psyop.
Because they're telling the Taiwanese, no one can protect you.
And by the way... It's a message.
It's a message.
By the way, Taiwan, you've got $19 billion in weapons that you've ordered that are sitting in the United States that this administration is doing nothing to fulfill its contractual obligations to you.
How can you count on somebody like that?
And the expectation being, your expectation being, That after this massive psychological operation, you know, disguised as a military exercise, is executed, what is this administration going to do, Secretary Walton?
This is what they should be doing.
Of course, they won't do anything.
But we would have responded, President Trump would have, of course, forceful rhetoric, backed up by his persona.
But we would have been staging massive naval exercises with the Koreans, the Japanese, the Australians, the Royal Navy, the Royal Dutch Navy, all nations with interests in that part of the world, to say, look, you want to go down this road, you have this united front, economic power that you're not going to be able to compete with.
We control the world's currency.
We control 90% of the merchant shipping.
Yeah.
That goes in and out of your own country.
And one little thing that everybody forgets, which is, well, history, geography is destiny.
70% of the energy that China needs comes through that strait and can be very easily, let's just say, controlled.

There was somebody on the flight who shouldn't have been there.

But something's happening inside that service and it's not good.
And we are joined today by Sonia Labosco to explain what it is.

So appreciate you having me on.
So we've heard a lot about the DOJ targeting parents because they go to school board meetings and they don't want their children to be indoctrinated with left-wing garbage or they just want their kids to go back to school without having to wear a mask.
We've seen January 6 protesters hounded, put in solitary for More than two years.
And then we've seen all kinds of strange things happen with, I don't know, former presidents for example.
But it looks like it's not just the FBI or the DOJ.
Can you tell us what you discussed with my good friend Dan just last week on his show?
Well, I'm glad, Sebastian, you had an air marshal on your flight, and your family did, because that could be a rare occasion these days, actually out there looking for bad guys.
But when I was talking to Dan, I'd heard his podcast earlier in the week regarding some information he had received from a high-ranking person in the Federal Air Marshal Service.
about watching and following people that went to the rally on January the 6th.
So I reached out to Dan because we've been working for two years to expose... Hang on, hang on, hang on.
I just want everybody to understand what you just said.
You're with the Air Marshal National Council.
You served as a Federal Air Marshal.
January the 6th?
What has January the 6th got to do with Federal Aviation and Air Marshals?
Sebastian, that's a great question.
I mean, it appears that the swamp, the bureaucrats at the swamp want the American people targeted because they either flew into the national capital region around the January 6th time, or they actually attended the rally.
These folks have been deemed to be on a list that are considered to be domestic terrorists.
We're following the same people day in and day out.
The air marshals now are following these folks from Whoever were even in the region or attended the rally.
So we're doing this.
As you and I speak right now, there's a mission going on where these folks are being followed.
Where would that, so explain to us, you understand the Air Marshal Service, you've served with them, you've been a badge carrier there.
How would this begin?
It wouldn't be a local Air Marshal office saying, I don't like conservatives, I want to track them and call them terrorists.
Where would the Air Marshal Service get that threat assessment and that tasking from?
How would it work?
Well, they didn't get a tasking that we're aware of.
I mean, there were some questions that we've been working with Congress now.
Thank goodness for Senator Ted Cruz and Mark Green, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
They're working with us to get those answers now.
But in January of 2021, there was a request made through a congressional representative to the Air Marshals Association or the Air Marshals, David Pakosky, the administrator, requesting The increase of flight coverage for those that may be considered white supremacists.
So when that order came out on January the 11th is when we saw the uptick where the air marshals were being utilized to follow people on these special missions.
And those people were designated as a domestic terrorist.
You know, as somebody who spent almost 20 years in the counter-terrorism field training the military and law enforcement and members of the IC, I'm kind of left speechless, Sonia.
I don't know what to say.
Because it's turning everything on its head.
We know what ISIS is.
I trained People on understanding the ideology of Al-Qaeda.
We know what the left did with the weather underground, with Students for a Democratic Society in the 60s and 70s.
At one time there were more than a thousand bombings in America by left-wing extremists.
But you're telling me one of the entities that's supposed to protect us from real terrorists is being politically exploited To track and surveil Americans because, what, they voted for President Trump?
Are they just attended a rally?
I mean, they didn't have to attend the rally, Sebastian.
If they were just in the area, this list was intricated into the system at TSA, which now means that anybody on that list is also flagged at the airport.
So when you go to check in at the airport counter, you're going to be flagged as a domestic terrorist.
You're going to get treated differently.
You may not even get on that flight.
You may not have any idea of why you're being blocked from flying on the airlines.
If we've got a minute, Sebastian, I'd like to tell you about one case in particular.
Yeah, we've got exactly a minute and a half.
Tell us.
Okay, there's a federal air marshal.
He's been in the service for 27 years, been here a long time.
His spouse is on this list.
She has been tracked.
Every time that she flies, she is on this list.
She actually knows the air marshals that are on the plane.
She actually knows who they are because she's seen them and worked with them for many, many years in the past because of her husband.
We can't even get them to stop following this gentleman's wife.
And she did not enter the Capitol.
She is not a terrorist.
She's never done anything wrong.
She is a wonderful lady, and she is being treated very badly.
And now everyone in her family is now being put on that list as well.
So when they travel, they're getting flagged.
So a wife of an air marshal can't do anything about this?
Can't do anything.
And he actually flew with her recently.
He actually had to meet with the air marshal team because you have to do a briefing with anybody that's got a firearm on the plane, all the people that are gun toters.
So he had to actually meet with the team that was surveilling him and his wife.
Okay, again, a radio host shouldn't be speechless.

The federal air marshals are surveilling, are tracking, are putting Trump voters on terrorist lists.
How did we get here?
We got here because they're everywhere.
They have permeated.
The left has permeated themselves everywhere into society.
I mean, it was amusing, kind of, in an irritating way, what we saw with regards to Dylan Mulvaney and Bud Light.
But then you see the video of the vice president of marketing for Budweiser, Alyssa Heinerscheid, And then you understand how they've permeated themselves across the system.
This is how she's justifying using a fake woman to sell that crummy beer.
Cut three.
I'm a businesswoman.
I had a really clear job to do when I took over Bud Light.
And it was, this brand is in decline.
It's been in decline for a really long time.
And if we do not attract young drinkers to come and drink this brand, there will be no future for Bud Light.
So I had this super clear mandate.
It's like, we need to evolve and elevate this incredibly iconic brand.
And my, what I brought to that was a belief in Okay, what does evolve and elevate mean?
It means inclusivity.
It means shifting the tone.
It means having a campaign that's truly inclusive and feels lighter and brighter and different and appeals to women.
Hey, uh, Eric, do you think that she's evolved and elevated that brand in the last few days?
Not in the slightest.
It's, it's definitely all the backlash from the Kid Rock stuff and everything.
And I mentioned this before, that problem is being faced by probably all major alcohol brands right now because studies have shown that Gen Z, or Zoomers as they're known, Alcohol consumption is way down.
They're not going out and partying and getting drunk.
Right, but who drinks beer, right?
It's real America.
Forget about the millennials, okay?
It's real America.
It's what is derisively called the flyover territory.
And what have you done to that slice, your key demographic?
Guess what?
The plumbers, right?
Guess what?
The truck drivers.
Guess what?
The loggers.
They're all conservatives!
And you just killed this brand forever.
Oh, I dearly wish the go-work-go-broke thing is gonna work.
But it's not enough.
We have to play hardball.
How do we drain the swamp?
How to defeat the deep state?
I'm going to ask that question next to one of the greatest minds alive today.

The first president ever in history to be so charged.
His argument is, it's not really about me.

And what does it bode for the fabric of the Republic looking forward?
Let's talk to one of our most important guests with regularity and your favorite here on America First.
We are going deep dive one-on-one with the Hoover Institution senior fellow, historian par excellence, author of The Case for Trump, Professor Victor Davis Hanson.
Welcome back to America First.

I'm just going to allow you free reign.
I want to discuss this amazing article about the new American revolution or the Jacobin revolution later on with our discussion.
But the events of Tuesday and after This is just part of a fact pattern.
We've seen from Impeachment 1, Impeachment 2, Crossfire, Hurricane, the raid on Mar-a-Lago, the Mueller probe.
This is just another instance.
However, it is historic in significance, given the fact that it's never happened again.
Just how significant is it historically, Professor?
Well, we've never had it.
And it comes in a long line as you detail.
And unfortunately, it's not the end.
It's not an end of itself.
It's the beginning, because there's going to be further efforts to do what Mr. Bragg is doing in Georgia and the special counsel.
But historically, it kind of says to us Americans that we've lost the moral right to lecture Asia or Africa or Latin America about There are inefficiencies and insecurities and anti-democratic failings.
I don't think a president today can give a lecture to even Nicaragua or Venezuela or Uganda and say, you know what?
Democracy is the only path for your future, given what we're doing.
We're destroying it before our eyes.
The other thing is that there's a lot of dimensions, Seb.
One is this lawfare, the weaponization of politics.
And by that, I mean, they're interfering in the electoral process of the opposition party.
And I think everybody understands that Mr. Bragg is not acting alone, but he's acting with consultation with his advisors, many of whom are pretty hard left.
And I think their plan is to tie him up.
And even if these writs are dismissed, it will take much of the summer.
He will be in court now and then, and then the Georgia indictment will kick in.
And then the special counsel indictments will kick in, or at least rumors, bombshells, walls are closing in, hysterias will kick in.
And the plan is to, as you know, is to gain empathy.
And he does deserve empathy because he's right about what they're doing, but they want him to be nominated.
And then they want, once he's nominated, to hemorrhage him.
Uh, have gag orders and really neuter him as a candidate to help Joe Biden.
It's very ironic because that was the subtext of the first impeachment that Donald Trump had made a phone call that in some way harmed the political viability of Joe Biden, his likely opponent.
And here the Democrats are doing exactly what they...
Yeah, I do believe that.
I think if, put it this way, if the federal attorneys in the U.S.
who have said that this indictment is in fact one of the highest level examples of election interference, but driven through a district attorney's office.
Yeah, I do believe that.
I think if, put it this way, if the federal attorneys in the U.S. government, if Merrick Garland, if Joe Biden, any of them had communicated they didn't want this to happen, It wouldn't happen.
And I think Mr. Bragg knows that.
And you know, as everybody's pointed out, it's a new era now.
So any local prosecutor that wants to serve the political interests of the national party, or he's eager for celebrity or status, he will now start indicting people of the opposite party.
I mean, can you imagine if Hunter Biden's left a long trail in many states, And some prosecutor's going to say, you know, he's got pornography on his laptop, or he communicated about drugs, or he hired, you know, mistress, or he confessed to illegal payments.
And, you know, maybe he didn't pay state income tax, who knows?
But the possibilities to emulate what Mr. Bragg did are endless.
And that, Seb, poses the question, and I don't have an answer for it.
And that is to stop all this, what you detailed.
And then in addition to what you detail, the periodic threats to end the filibuster, electoral college, pack the court, bring in new states.
Tear up the State of the Union, deny Kevin McCarthy the right to nominate people.
What is the best way to counteract that?
Is it to do what Kevin McCarthy did when he kicked Adam Schiff off and then go into DEF CON 5 and tit for tat?
Or does that unwind the Republic like we saw, say, for example, in late Rome in the first century BC?
I don't have the answer for that.
But I think that whatever the Republicans have done in the past hasn't been working, unfortunately.
We'll talk about various strategic options looking forward for those who actually believe in America, but in your latest piece about our French Revolution, so up to date, and it's been rather prosaic, there have been two options to explain what the left is doing.
Number one, it's they want to Take President Trump out of the running.
They so utterly detest him.
They literally want him in an orange jumpsuit behind bars.
That is the strategic objective.
And others saying, no, no, no, no, no.
They want to garner sympathy for him so he gets the nomination because he's the weakest candidate and the most easily beaten in 24.
I don't buy that version.
In your latest piece, you have this hybrid Um, that I'd like you to expand upon where you say, yes, they're doing this to garner sympathy for him so he gets the nomination.
But then, like Gulliver in Gulliver's Travels, all these cases have these Lilliputians tie him down so he can't effectively campaign.
That's what you see as the most likely scenario, correct?
Or the likely motivation?
Yeah.
I think the grassroots is delighted, but the people who are the movers and shakers of the Democratic Party have a little bit more sophisticated agenda.
They feel that they're delighted with the polls, the uptake.
They think Trump will react in a very angry and attack that he called At one point, Mr. Bregan Animal, I think he's going to do that and then they're going to have gag orders and it's going to be kind of a year and a half long psychodrama.
Okay, everybody admits that.
But what I think is even more sinister is They're going to be able to neuter him as a candidate because they are going to issue- I think this judge is going to say, I warned Donald Trump and here he attacked a judge personally, and I can't do that so he's got a gag order.
What would that do, Seb?
It would basically say he's no longer a viable candidate if he can't speak out publicly in any context about what they've done to him.
And so I think they feel that Although the base wants to destroy Donald Trump at any means necessary, they want to too, but in a more- they want to use a stiletto rather than a battle axe.
In other words, they want to have him nominated and then, as you say, hemorrhage him all the way to- and who knows what would happen?
They may find the special counsel come next August, a year from this August, who says, uh-oh, He's guilty of this and we're going to incarcerate him and he might be right before a debate or something.
They're capable of that.
I'm not suggesting that Tom shouldn't be the nominee or somebody else should.
I'm just suggesting that what they're doing is very dangerous because they're interfering in a political process.
James Comey, the infamous James Comey, remember when he had knowledge that Hillary Clinton had committed four felonies, He said that he didn't have the right to do that anyway.
He was out of step there because he was not a prosecutor, but he said no prosecutor would prosecute her.
And what he meant was, she's a candidate and that's sacred ground.
You don't intrude in there.
Even he knew that.
And so what they're doing is, I've never seen anything like it in our country.

Indictment does not specifically say what those crimes were.
We are assuming, perhaps, that they might be election-related.
I'm wondering if you can specify what laws were also broken.
So, let me say as an additional matter that the indictment doesn't specify it because the law does not so require.
Just the idea that any district attorney, let alone one in one of the most important cities in America, if not the world, says of any indictment, let alone one of a former president, that I didn't list the crimes I'm charging the individual with because I'm not required to.
Professor Hanson, that really, I mean, doesn't that fully satisfy the definition of a banana republic?
I'm not telling you what I'm charging him with because I don't have to?
Absolutely.
He's saying that because he doesn't even know what the crimes are.
And he wants a blank check from now until the formal indictment, I guess, to add or subtract or listen to somebody tell him what to do.
But he's doing something that's historically unprecedented.
And you would think that it would be assault or something or a major class one felony, but it isn't.
It's just He did something.
He made a bookkeeping error, or he tried to protect his family, and we're going to call that a campaign infraction, even though I'm not a federal attorney.
I don't have jurisdiction.
And all of this was because it hid another series of crimes of which I can't tell you right now.
And that's not satisfying.
Even the people on the left Who want to retain any shred of credibility, the legal analyst said, you don't do this to a president.
But then we've seen it, as you pointed out, I mean, you don't go raid Mar-a-Lago when you're in negotiations about classified documents with the archives.
And I do say one thing, everybody is saying that Well, this was a mess, but the Georgia or the special counsel indictments on the horizon are going to be much more serious.
I don't think so.
I think the Georgia, the phone call, when you examine, I need votes, but he was just saying, you know, I'm short votes.
And I think there's irregularities.
He didn't order anybody to do anything.
And as far as the Mar-a-Lago raid, I don't think the symmetry of the law is going to allow that to go on when you have Joe Biden, who for six years had a lie of omission.
In other words, he knew that he had classified documents in at least three unsecured locations and he didn't tell anybody.
And he only told people when he was caught.
And so not to do anything to him and to go, I don't think that would, that would be even more shocking.
So I think Alan, I think he has got the more, the I guess he has a very weak case, but I think he's going to get, because he's got this New York jury and he's got the New York landscape, that he will, I think he will not have the indictment thrown out.
And I think a New York jury will convict Donald Trump.
I agree with the Georgia case and Raffensperger as someone as esteemed a legal scholar as Alan Dershowitz said on my Newsmax show yesterday.
When you say to somebody, can you find me 10,000 votes?
That means they exist, they're real.
He's not saying manufacture, invent.
He says find them.
So that case I believe is even weaker than this one.
In your latest piece on your website, Our French Revolution, you open by stating a comparison between what is happening with the Democrat Party and America today and the Jacobins of 1793.
Who were the Jacobins and why do you locate the transmogrification of the Democrats into the Jacobins to 2020?
The Jacobin clubs were a radical equality of result and hardcore, violent revolutionaries.
And they hijacked the revolution from the Girondist and maybe we could call the constitutional monarchists that wanted to get rid of the Bourbons, but not in a violent way, just set up something analogous to British parliamentary.
Constitutional governments, but they, Robespierre and his brother, St.
Joost and others, they hijacked that revolution.
Then it was a cultural revolution, Seb, and that was what I was trying to point out.
What did they do that we could recognize today?
They destroyed statues.
They renamed places.
They renamed the days of the week.
They renamed the days of the month.
They worshiped the God reason.
They went after the Catholic church.
They liquidated their enemies, and for, I don't know, 18 months, they were untouchable.
And then all of a sudden, one day, the Thermidores just banged.
They ambushed them, got them arrested, and they met the same fate that they had dished out to others.
But the point I was making is that The Democratic Party was a political party.
This woke, whatever we want to call it, party is a 360 degree cultural revolution.
You just name it.
It wants to destroy women's sports as we knew it.
Transgenderism.
It wants to rename the founding days of America.
It wants to completely recast Hollywood.
I don't even know what the Oscars, I don't know what the Super Bowl A halftime show was like.
We had Rihanna masturbating while she was pregnant, basically, in front of millions of people.
These are cultural revolutionary things that are going on with corporate America, with the media, with academics.
What we saw at Stanford Law School, that didn't happen in the 60s.
They went after the dean's office.
But why?
This was the dean down.
Yes, this was the dean of whatever equity and diversity being the person who was trying to stop the invited guests from speaking who was a federal judge.
But I'm curious because I have been trying to identify where that moment that caesura is in time and you're very specific in the article you say 2020 because clearly this is a process from Antonio Gramsci for the last hundred years.
Yeah.
Is it really?
That's a good question.
Yes, because I think what happened was this had been building, as you point out, and one of the main characteristics of this revolution is the left had substituted class or economic status.
And they replaced it with race, because race was immutable.
So their main BLM talking point was, this is a racist, horrific country, and that Oprah and Meghan Markle and LeBron James can be victims because of their race.
Forget their class.
We don't want to talk about the working class anymore.
That's not our constituency.
It's race.
Bicoastal elite and race.
And what gave that power was partly the Obama eight years, as you know, I want to fundamentally transfer in this country, downright mean country, never been proud to quote and paraphrase Barack and Michelle.
But I think there was a trifecta of the COVID paranoia, and then the two year lockdown, And which our communications were altered in the way we get information.
And then the phenomenon of the hysteria over Donald Trump and all of that together gave them a never let a serious crisis go to waste.
Right.
And they seized power and they intimidated, you know, Joe Manchin was neutered and there is no such thing.
I can't believe there's not one Democrat I can think of that Would be in the old Democratic Leadership Council.
Or could?
This is the most shocking thing.
I don't like Bill Clinton, but at least he'd reign in the crazies.
Where is the Democrat of national renown who wants to reign in the crazies?
It wasn't Nancy.
It wasn't Chuck Schumer.
It's none of them.
It's as if the squad has taken over the Democrat party.

Racialists are eerily embracing discredited neo-confederate notions of racial chauvinism, discrimination, segregation, and this one, the old one-drop rule of racial obsession.
Now, I think this is absolutely right.
When you have segregated graduations, when you're having Black Lives Matter take over the country and create Two billion dollars worth of damage.
The empirical evidence is there.
I'm curious, can we say that this is the result of the Democrat Party reverting to type?
Because, you know, the KKK was the Democrat armed wing of that party.
Is it fair to say that this is happening because they just can't get away from themselves?
And this is in the gene code of the Democrat Party that they are now neo-confederates?
Well, I think that racist neo-Confederate hatred toward what was then Republican government, which was moderate and it was constitutional.
And that was one thing about the Confederates.
Remember, they attacked the constitution all the time.
They said the problem with the constitution and they listed it.
And one of the things they got angriest about was there was no mention of race.
So they were racially obsessed.
And when you look at today's Democratic Party, they don't like the Constitution either.
And in a weird way, they feel that it's not fair enough, or it's not fluid enough.
Or it's an obstacle to what they wish to achieve.
Yes, it's an obstacle to radical change, and they see it as an impediment.
But I think there are people... I'll give you one example.
Actress Holly Berry was in a custody suit not long ago.
and she's of mixed race and her child is, I think, 1/8 or something.
And she was making the argument in court that the one-drop rule, the old 1/16th rule, applied, and she wanted to apply that to get custody of that child.
And when you go apply to admissions, the thing that's very fascinating is what does a Stanford or a Yale or a Harvard do in their closed room when somebody applies and says they're black or they're Latino?
Yeah.
What do they...
They claim they don't, but we know, and I've talked to them, they do have a 1-8th, 1-16th rule.
And they're racially obsessed about that.
Or they have a special mixed category that allows one to do that.
Is this a new thing?
Or do you think they're just reverting to their old racist tendencies and they just kind of get it out of their heads?
Yes.
Well, I think they transmogrified affirmative action into a new idea called diversity, which was very advantageous because it wasn't 12, 88%.
It was anybody who was quote unquote, not white, It was therefore a permanent victim and a permanent oppressed person, and they had grievances against the majority culture, which now had shrunk to 67 or 68 percent.
That started with the Obama administration, but now they are fixated.
It's very strange.
I mean, when you look at the things, we had the Louisiana State basketball, a couple of players said that they wouldn't go to the White House, a real rejection for Jill Biden's kind of clumsy invitation, but they wanted to go to Michelle and Barack's house, they said.
First of all, they wouldn't be allowed in there because Michelle and Barack don't let anybody in.
They're Martha's Vineyard or Kalarama or Hawaii State.
But the point is, it's completely racialized.
And that's what's really scary about it.
And where was that in our history?
It was only in one place.
Yeah.
And so I don't know the continuity of the culture, but I do think that there's precedents that they go back on and they would never admit it.
And because they're progressives and they don't believe in absolutes like the Neo-Confederates, they're perfectly willing to adopt things like the 116th, which they feel has had a history in the past.
Incredible.
And we use DNA, the Confederates use genealogists, but it's the same thing.

There's no mass buy-in.
I don't think you could say Black Lives Matter or Antifa represents the majority or the plurality of America.
But when you look at what's happened to the FBI, the IRS, the DOJ, the CIA, Clearly these have been captured, the state capture of the intelligence and law enforcement community.
Are there any analogues to this previously?
Such a successful state capture without violence?
And what has happened to the rights of the people, the mandate of the people?
Are you concerned that at one point there will be a break?
And they'll say, no, we do not concur.
We do not agree.
And it might be answered with violence.
Yeah, I'm worried about that.
And I mean, we've saw this is how the Bolsheviks remember the Bolsheviks said they were part of a broad coalition that was anti czarist and was willing to have some type of constitutional system, replace it.
And then as soon as that first revolution, they hijacked it by taking control of the press, the military, The same thing, as I said, with the Jacobins did the same thing.
And it happens in antiquity.
There was 30 tyrants that took over Athens.
There was 5,000 that took over.
But again, the purpose is to take the institutions in lieu of a popular agenda that appeals to 51% of the people.
The left knows that nobody likes the open border.
Nobody likes high energy prices.
Nobody likes what happened in Afghanistan.
Nobody likes the obsessions and fixations on race.
No one likes what we're doing on crime and these district attorneys.
No one likes any of them, the New Green Deal.
And yet they feel that they don't need popular support because whether it's the corporate boardroom, Disney or the NFL halftime show or Silicon Valley or Facebook, they have institutions that they dominate, academia K through 12, that they they have institutions that they dominate, academia K through 12, that they can increase and And if that's not enough, and it sometimes isn't, then they can, under the cover of COVID, radically change.
I think the biggest revolution in my lifetime was I woke up one day and 70% of the electorate in most states was not voting on election day.
And it used to be 70% did.
And there was such a thing.
And then the word absentee ballot disappeared from the vocabulary.
It was replaced by mail-in ballot, meaning there was no reason to get an excuse.
You didn't have to say you're out of town.
You were sick.
We're going to mail out the ballots.
Here, 10 million of them were mailed out.
We don't know what happened in California.
So these are revolutionary processes.
The pact of court used to be a dirty word.
It was a mark of shame on the Roosevelt administration.
There's a website, it's a an agenda of pride.
Same thing about destroying the Electoral College by circumventing the amendment process by this national voter compact that they're trying to do.
So they want to change the system by which we govern, not appeal to the electorate and say, "This is their point of view.
This is our point of view.
You decide." They don't trust the people.
They don't like the people.
No, no, they don't.
That's And they're ruthless.
But isn't that why the word populism is now pejorative, which is so strange.
If you're popular, then that should be a representation of the people's will, but it's now a dirty word, isn't it?
Yeah, I mean, I've had people come up to me and say, the ACLU, I never liked it, but it used to defend right-wingers.
It defended anybody they felt Now it's just a hardcore leftist organizing tool like the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Same thing.
Stanford Law School was always liberal, but thousands of alumni honored it because it had one sacred protocol, and that is anybody who was invited to speak would be given a fair hearing and a quiet reception.
And now people can't believe it.
They just can't believe it.
And the idea that a dean hijacked the lecture and then turned on the speaker and said, basically, you deserve it.
For who you are.
That had never happened before at that law school.
And to have the students, as he's walking out of the building, scream obscenities about sexual violence against his daughter, I mean, in America?
You're perhaps the most preeminent, not just military historian, but strategic thinker alive today.
Let me ask a strategist's question for In Clausewitzian terms, what is the center of gravity of all of this?
Have we identified the locus out of which this is occurring?
Because we can talk about schools, teacher training, colleges, the media, social media, but when you see, for example, a George Soros fund at least 40 of these activist Pro-criminal district attorneys.
Is it the activist billionaires?
Have you identified the... I think it is.
I think people had... If you and I were to look at the Fortune 400 today versus 20 years ago, the wealth was in mining, agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, real estate.
Today, it's finance, finance, insurance, and tech.
And of those names on there, at least 300 of them are left-wing.
If you look at zip codes and you try to adjudicate which are the wealthiest zip codes, they're all left wing congressional districts.
So we've seen a radical, and when you look at the last election, Donald Trump was outspent three to one.
And everybody, this idea of Republican dark money is an inequity.
It doesn't exist compared to what Mark Zuckerberg is capable of.
$419 million infused into key precincts.
So I don't think we have any idea that when we wake up in the morning, that Google fortune is rearranging the searches in political terms.
So if we search, you said collusion and hoax.
I would bet you, you will not find an article on collusion, hoax, to the 30th or 50th entry.
It'll all be that it was real.
And they do that, and that's enormous.
But the basis of that power is money.
They have enormous foundations.
I'm on the Bradley Foundation.
We have a $1.2 billion, it's a conservative foundation, more nonpartisan, but $1.2 million.
We had a presentation not long ago, Seb.
We're something like 90th in foundations.
We're talking about foundations that are $50 million, $80 million, $100 million.
It's not even close what the left has the resources.
They are the party of the ultra-globalist rich that came out like bandits in the 21st century.
The bi-coastal elites that were able to Capture markets in Europe and Asia on each coast and they became fabulously wealthy.
Nine trillion dollars in Silicon Valley of market capitalization.
Civilization's never seen a staggering sum like that in such a small place.
And not only that, the foundations which were conservative, especially the family foundations like the Ford Foundation, have been likewise captured as the state has been captured by the left-wing ideologues.

Professor, I never lose hope.
I chose this country.
I'm a legal immigrant to this nation.
I do think it is utterly unique in historic terms as well as geopolitical terms.
I think to despair is un-American.
And one of the things that gives me hope is I see one of the key characteristics of Americans, wherever they come from or wherever they are born, is common sense.
There's an ingrained common sense to most Americans who aren't part of the bi-coastal elite.
As such, I think, and I would love to know whether you concur, I think the whole transgender movement, to use the colloquialism, will be the red pilling of tens of millions of Americans, especially parents, who say, this is wrong, what you're doing to my daughter at the next swim meet, this man walking into the girls changing rooms, This could be the saving grace.
Do you think that of all the issues we could choose, border, economy, freedom of speech, social media, this one could be the most powerful in removing the scales from the eyes and being that Damascene moment?
I think so because it attacks two of their constituencies, which they think are automatic.
It attacks women because they have destroyed women's sports for all practical purposes.
And women don't like that.
Labored very hard to get parity or equity, and all these records mean nothing now.
And it's going to get worse.
And then a lot of minorities, especially Hispanics that are very religious, they look at this and they don't understand.
It's baffling to them.
They've never seen anything like it.
New immigrants.
And I think the African American community, if you look at polls, is not in favor of it.
This is another top-down issue that most people No, they're live and let live.
But then when they see transgender people going into the Texas legislature, what they saw in New Zealand, they don't think it's a warm, fuzzy movement.
It's a strident, angry, often violent movement.
And it's captured the schools.
And also the suburban The suburban family they think at any moment my daughter can come home or my son can come home and tell me that he's transitioning even though I know it's historically 0.1% of the population suffers from gender dysphoria but they've been told this in school as if it's a hula hoop or dunkin yo-yo fad and my gosh that terrifies parents.
In your piece you highlight correctly that The revolution has warped our system.
Instead of having an election day, we have an election month or month.
It's warped the FBI, the CIA, the Justice Department, and even the IRS.
That is a monumental task to fix that, to bring it back to where it should be.
How is it doable?
How can it be done?
Firstly, you will have to have a very, very robust, aggressive chief executive.
I've said one of the easiest things that can be done in addition to downsizing the executive is to move all of these departments out of Washington, D.C. and put them into middle America.
Is that enough?
What else will be required?
And what is what is the likelihood of us being successful?
Well, I think you have to have a much more radical agenda.
One of the things is I think they have to be broken up.
I think that you've got to get the FBI either broken up and its agencies parceled back to different cabinets or move it to Kansas City or, I don't know, Salt Lake City, but you've got to break up that nexus of power.
And then you have to have some legislation that these directors of the intelligence agencies and the FBI and the Pentagon, they have to have some kind of quiet off cooling off period both before and when they leave.
In other words, you can't have Lockheed General Counsel James Comey going right into the FBI, or you can't have Lloyd Austin coming right out of Raytheon and he's going to go right back, or the prior secretary going in and out of General or the prior secretary going in and out of General Dynamics.
Because what happens is that corporate ethos says, there's a lot of rewards there, but we're going to be woke for market reasons, and so we're going to pick people who not only are woke, but are going to advance that agenda that is going to be in our interest.
And so you've got to take away those incentives.
And I think you have to, you can't, I don't think we can have any, we've had two secretary defenses that came out of the corporate board room.
And I can't, I don't think we can do that anymore.
Former military people that were in on corporate boards can't do that.
And I think if you look at, and then the other thing is very quickly, I think you really have to enforce perjury laws.
You can't have Andrew McCabe lying to federal investigators on their own.
John Brennan twice.
James Clapper once, members of the, James Baker misleading the FBI.
So I think if we would just enforce the laws on the books, regardless of these people's rank and status, it would make a big difference.
Right now, as we speak, Andrew McCabe should be a convicted felon for lying four times by his own admission.
And so did John Brennan.
He admitted to it.
And James Clapper said that he gave the least untruthful answer under oath when he was caught.
Right there would have sent a powerful message that you better respect the truth and stop the political and weaponization.
I'm curious, in addition to actually enforcing perjury laws, given what happens to, you know, patriots and conservatives who, you know, want to serve their nation or just speak out publicly, what about the dire need for a reform of Sullivan versus the New York Times and the libel laws in America?
Well, I mean, yeah, I think that we can do that.
Of course, the problem when we get into these issues, and we see a little bit of it with TikTok, which I think we should ban, and we can do that in a way, but when you make these broader laws, the left then comes in and warps them and uses them in a way that's not intended.
So we have to be very careful.
But I I think it's the ethos.
It's something about the New York-Washington Acela Corridor and the incestuous marriages and sibling relationships and networking that creates a common culture of progressive leftism.
Not that they believe it, but they believe it's the only credo that pays career dividends.
And to oppose that means you're not going to be on a board You're not going to be a lobbyist.
You're not going to be an influencer.
You're not going to be reappointed.
You're not going to circle back and rotate back into another administration.
And we've got to get rid of that and get people that go to Washington for different reasons than the people who were there.
Last question.
We've been in dire circumstances before.
We look at the 60s, the blowback from Vietnam.
We look at the Carter years.
We look at the last week in American politics, this banana republicization.
How is it looked at from overseas by our friends and enemies?
And can we recover the renommé we once had?
I think we did it in the 1980s.
Have we sunk too low?
Is it recoverable?
I think it is.
I think our enemies, of course, are delighted.
The Chinese are always playing the victim that they're victims of racism and the Russians have a different tack.
They mock us.
Yeah.
But I think the Europeans are scared because they're not objecting necessarily to the ideology because they're predominantly socialist.
But when they look at the combination of Silicon Valley technology and the money at staggering levels, they can't even comprehend.
They feel that America is starting to influence their societies in ways that are scary, because they control Facebook, they control Google, they control the Internet, they control email.
These are mostly American-dominated institutions, and when you add all this money, the Europeans, I think they feel they're destroying their traditional ways of life.
And they are!
So, and can it be rectified?
Yeah, I mean, everything can be rectified.
It was long brewing, but I think the culmination was very quick.
I think the Republicans have to stop.
I don't want to be unfair to anybody, but Romneyism doesn't work.
Marcus of Queensbury rules doesn't work.
Wanting to be liked or have a good book review in the New York Times or go to a Georgetown party or be A nominee for the Pulitzer Prize does not work.
You have to divorce all of the leverage that the left has for you and get people in there that are from a completely different lifestyle value system and say, you know what?
If they call me a racist or they say that I'm a hack, I don't care.
That's what I expect from them.
But rather than, what can I do?
What can I do to get back in?
Can I be a wise man after I retire?
Can I please be on the board of Northrop?
What do I need to do?
And that's the problem.
You have to be prepared to step in the arena and take the buffets and the attacks of those who hate you because you love this nation.
