Time Text
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
You can talk.
All right.
We're live.
You can go ahead.
Why is this?
Hey, John, what's going on?
We're live.
All right, everybody.
Welcome.
Welcome to the Sebastian Gorka Show, America First.
This is Doug Collins filling in for the good doctor.
Sebastian's off.
We're here ready.
We're ready and fired up to getting ready for a 4th of July weekend.
I'm excited to be with you.
Glad to be filling in the very large America First here.
Dr. Gorka being glad to bring some stuff to you.
This has been, I don't know about you, but I have been excited for the last couple weeks and it's been one of those times when as I've Sort of let this out is the America that the liberals are just furious about.
I mean, they're raging, they're burning right now.
And why are they burning?
Because America's working like it should!
And I think this is what I really want to focus on today.
We're going to have a great show.
We've got Matt Whitaker, former acting Attorney General, coming up later.
We've got Eric Pratt, Gun Owners Association of America.
And we've got the left, in their own words, just really, I mean, they're coming into this 4th of July.
Thinking, you know, a year or so ago.
I want you to go back.
Remember, they had their dreams crushed when Hillary Clinton got beat by Donald Trump.
And I've talked about this before.
I wrote about it in my book.
I talk about it, you know, my podcast, the Doug Collins podcast.
I've talked about this where there was tears in Brooklyn.
I mean, it was just, it was glorious.
Really.
I mean, I'm sorry.
It was glorious to watch the coronation that didn't happen.
And Donald Trump came forward with a, just a, just a new agenda, putting America first, you know, Destroying international norms.
I saw just recently where a clip that resurfaced where Joe Biden said that what he was basically referring to the Trump administration, he was referring to the fact that these norms and international norms had been knocked down and they were the underpinning of who we are.
No, what Donald Trump did was actually bring it back to where we're putting our values first because we feel like other countries are going to put their values first.
And right now, the left is just livid about what's going on.
And when we understand what's going on, it is that the Supreme Court is starting to put back an originalist constitutional view of what the law should be.
We're actually taking a three We're going to put it back in perspective.
The Supreme Court is actually laying out that the executive branch has certain roles, the legislative has a certain role, and the judicial has a certain role.
Folks, all across the country here on the Salem Network today, as you're listening to the America First Show, we're putting it back in perspective.
We're going to put it back in perspective.
If you want to join this call today, 833-33-GORCA, 833-33.
This is Doug Collins, former member from Congress of Georgia.
Glad to be filling in today.
Let's just dive right into it.
If you don't believe, one of the things that's always amazed me is we always hear from Well, folks, an active living view of the Constitution means that you have a political view and not a legal view.
I've always said in Washington, D.C., and if you're listening out there, you need to understand this, we don't vote in Congress.
And when I was there, the Senator was there, we don't vote on words, on ideas, we vote on words on paper.
And by doing so, that means that there are certain things The Supreme Court gets that, liberals don't get that.
I want to start us off though, play clip 5.
I want you to hear what judicial activism really means to a liberal.
If what we've seen this term is not judicial activism, I don't know what is.
This is a court that has used textualism in so many cases, claiming that they have to find the founding father's intent and using that to do absolutely insane things like permit people to have AR-15s in public in this country in the midst of a wave of gun violence. claiming that they have to find the founding father's intent But by the same token, when textualism does not serve this court, they don't feel constrained by principle.
And so we see the decision that we saw today in the EPA case, where they used something called the major questions doctrine, very rarely used, to say that Congress hadn't given the EPA sufficient authority, hadn't been explicit enough in that grant of authority to permit the EPA to take important hadn't been explicit enough in that grant of authority to permit the EPA to take important steps to
And it's amazing when you think that we've seen that same doctrine, very rarely used in our nation's history, used a couple of other times by this court in one case to end the nationwide ban on evictions during the pandemic.
And in another, to keep Joe Biden from requiring vaccination at large companies.
So this is a court that's been very facile about how it's used doctrine.
It's not a good look.
It's very disheartening to people like Neil and like me who love the court and love the law because we understand that at the core of the court's authority is its integrity.
It doesn't have an army to go out and enforce its orders.
Oh my goodness.
Did you just hear that, folks?
I mean, I could not have ever envisioned a better articulation of the liberals just, you know, just upset about this when they said judicial hacktivism.
Folks, they believe judicial hacktivism is anything that the liberals want.
They believe that if the court sides with them to kill babies in the womb, that's not judicial activism.
That's just S.O.K.
because we have a living, breathing Constitution.
And what they're struggling with is the simple fact that when the justices look at these issues, and let's think about it, folks.
I mean, this is, for all, one of the things that I think Donald Trump is going to have a lasting impact on, one of the things that he's going to have a tremendous lasting impact on is the Supreme Court.
And if you go back to 2016, this is what he ran on when he put out the list from the Federalist Society and the others who would give him input on what judges he would actually pick.
These are who he would pick, and they are showing up now.
6-3 decisions, we're seeing in 5-4 decisions, we're seeing it go back to what the liberals say.
is judicial activism.
When actually what they're going back to is saying, let's get back to the foundations of actually doing it the right way.
Now liberals, let me give you a challenge.
And if you're out there and you want to call in, that's fine.
833-33-GORKA.
You can do so.
But here's your problem.
You don't want to go through legislative means.
You don't like legislative means.
Why?
Because you can't sell your ideas.
That's your problem.
You can't sell it!
That's why you want to do away with the filibuster.
That's why you want to pack the court.
Because you don't think that you can get enough people to agree with those ideas because you've seen it time and time again.
So what do you do?
You go to the court.
That's what they did with Roe v. Wade.
The whole concept of a non-enumerated power that was not found in the Constitution.
Look, I am sick of liberals telling me.
And commentator after commentator giving the old heave-ho story on MSNBC.
Let me go and talk about how bad it is on the constitutional front on MSNBC.
And realization is what they're saying is not even true.
There is no constitutional right that has been taken away from you by this Supreme Court, especially as it dealt in the Dobbs case from Mississippi.
Now you don't believe me?
I'll sit here.
I'll wait.
I'll cross my hand.
I'll sit here and wait.
Show me the constitutional right taken away from you.
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.
Oh, time's up.
Guess what?
There is not one.
Because what the court actually said was is that this was not a constitutional right.
How do you take something away that was not ever there?
You know what this was?
It was a judicial given right.
A liberal judicial given right who was giving into the pressure of the political times in the 70s when states were already passing the uh rovi the the abortion rights in new york california oregon colorado and other places but they said this is too slow that's the liberals problem especially the the leftists and the progressives they they don't like it when it gets too slow So when you understand this and you start looking at it, this is where we're at.
We're going to spend a lot of time on this today, folks.
We could go over it.
But when they claim judicial activism, don't buy it.
That's what we're here for on America First.
That's why I'm filling in for Dr. Gorka.
This is Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Gorka.
Because we're going to give you the truth to go out there and fight this just malarkey.
And that's what it is.
As the president likes to use the term, it's malarkey.
Of course, he may not remember he ever said that.
So look, we're going to talk a lot of these on today.
The court put it back in perspective.
When the court puts it back in perspective, then we get to really what this constitution is founded on.
We're just getting started, folks.
If you like the first little bit, get ready, get your seatbelt strapped in.
Doug Collins filling in for Seb Gorka today on the America First Radio Show all across the Salem network.
We'll be right back.
Thank you.
Oh.
All right, we're back!
We're back here on America First.
It's good to be sitting in for Dr. Gorka again here on America First.
It's exciting.
And I'm also excited to welcome in on our guest line.
We got former Acting Attorney General Matt Witter, good friend of mine, got to know him a lot.
We sort of traded books.
He's been in my book.
I've been in a lot of others.
But Matt, it is good to have you on.
How you been today?
I'm doing awesome, my friend.
How are you?
Happy Independence Day.
Amen.
Happy Independence Day.
It's good to celebrate, isn't it?
You know, we have the best and freest country in the world.
Well, and we just always need to remember the patriots that gave the ultimate sacrifice, or were willing to give the ultimate sacrifice, not only to secure our liberty, but also to defend it for the last almost 250 years.
It's really a celebration of just what makes America great, I think.
Oh, I agree with you completely in looking at it.
But I want to turn my attention, of course, we've had a, I think, and I just I said it in the first segment today, that the left is calling it judicial activism.
We're simply calling it back to reality and interpreting the law in the constitutional.
I mean, what we're seeing out there right now is it reminds me of the scene from the, you know, the Wizard of Oz, all the liberals.
I'm melting!
It's just, it's amazing because actual real law.
But I want you to respond to this.
I mean, what bothers me about this, though, is the president's been overseas, been to G7, whatever, but he's been there.
But then when he had the opportunity, when he starts talking about it, he actually degrades our court on a world stage.
I want you to listen to this, and I want to get your comments on this.
I'm joined by a group of Democratic governors, and we work closely to protect women's rights after this tragic reversal of Roe v. Wade.
A terrible, extreme decision, in my view, upending lives and impacting on the health and safety of millions of women.
And I share the public outrage that this extremist court has committed to moving America backwards.
Now, Matt, come on.
I mean, he said this today, but he said it on the world stage.
Tell me, why is this court extremist, except they didn't get what they want?
No, I mean, I think this restores constitutional jurisprudence closer to the Constitution.
And, you know, I've never, you know, the Democrats are always talking about democracy, right?
They're always like, we're democracy.
We're actually, we're a constitutional republic, but let's not quibble.
We, you know, ultimately the people are sovereign, and this opinion restored the power of this issue to the people and to the states.
And I just, You know, here's what I want, you know, because this issue has now been returned to the people and to the state.
I would like Democrats to run on, you know, sort of abortion until the time of birth, which is what they stand for right now, and see where the American people are on this.
Oh, hey, look at it, and we can already start to see this.
I mean, Colorado, Jared Polis, who I served with in Congress, who's now the governor out there, is basically, I mean, they just went and passed law.
Really, and man, this is sickening.
And if you're out there and you don't get this, I mean, I'm sorry for you, but they've passed this law in California, Gavin Newsom's right behind them, New York's gonna be right behind them as well, and they're saying that they're okay with abortion up to the time the child is coming out of the birth canal, and at that point, that's murder.
It's murder from the start, but I mean, how can you as a prosecutor differentiate that?
You can't, and this is where they don't understand, they claim that, you know, that we are either a center-left country or a majority of Americans are pro-abortion and abortion enthusiasts.
And that's not what I see.
You know, places where you're from and where I'm from, people cherish life.
And, you know, they understand, you know, the balance that has to be struck.
And, you know, again, I much more trust the people's representatives and the people with their ability to tell and vote and express themselves versus, you know, sort of nine justices deciding to find rights in, you know, in words that don't include those rights.
It's just, you know, it just proves that the left, you know, kind of wants to count on the courts to accomplish their agenda that they know they're not going to pass through the people.
Exactly.
We're here with Matt Whitaker here on America First, Doug Collins filling in for Steph.
I want to touch on a case that is not getting, frankly, as much attention because it takes a little bit more to discuss, but it's pretty plain and simple.
The EPA court, I was excited as much about the West Virginia case as any of the other cases.
Believe me, I was excited about the Dobbs case and others, but this EPA case is something you saw firsthand.
Dealing in the administration level that executive branches have believed that they can have more power than Congress gives them.
Give us your thoughts on that.
Well, I think there's always been an unholy alliance between the administrative state, the ABC, you know, uh, uh, admin, um, you know, unelected bureaucrats and the Congress who don't have to make the tough choices of what they're actually going to regulate.
And so they've offloaded in very vague statutes, uh, some of these powers, whether it's regulate water, regulate air quality, regulate, you know, all these issues.
And of course the administrative state has picked up the baton and run, you know, as far as they possibly can.
This West Virginia case, I think you're right, I think it's a very important case.
Probably not the most important because Dobbs, you know, certainly was revolutionary in its, you know, restoring the balance of power in the Constitution between the three branches in the states.
But, you know, ultimately, this West Virginia case versus the EPA, you know, puts the administrative genie back in the bottle, makes Congress pass, you know, specific legislation to address these issues that are determined to be important.
And again, it restores power to the people and takes it out of Washington, D.C. and out of these unelected bureaucrats.
So I share your enthusiasm for that case, and I think this is just one of many cases we're going to see that actually rolls back, you know, this ever-advancing, expanding administrative state.
I agree with you.
I look, I, the next case I want to talk about was the remaining Mexico case.
And I think that was, I look, I understood, I didn't agree with it by any means.
I understood what the justices were in essence saying.
They saying, well, if one administration can interpret it to do this as within the law, they can do it.
Another one doesn't have to do it that way because they can interpret differently.
I get the ruling, but do you think I'm going to flip the question though?
Don't you think that in some ways the Biden administration is really frustrated, although they publicly wanted to get rid of it, but now they're owning an open border.
Listen, Doug, you're so right.
The thing they wanted more than anything was to be told they had to keep the TPP or Remain-in-Mexico policy in place.
You know, we worked a lot on this when I was a DOJ, and this whole idea of like, under the statute, how much authority do you have?
And when you exercise authority, how much of a record do you have to make?
Whether it's DACA or DAPA or, you know, remain in Mexico, but ultimately, you know, these boil down to the elections have consequences.
These tools are used or not used, you know, by the administration.
And, you know, that's the responsibility of the president.
So, you know, I think, you know, even though I'm disappointed in the result, I actually think the reasoning is fairly sound.
And I, you know, I see, well, I'm a big critic of Roberts, especially.
You know, I think Roberts and Kavanaugh probably have it right.
You know, we just can't, we can't always, you know, if we're going to be constitutional, um, you know, sort of jurists or, you know, experts, we have to be consistent.
And I think so much of our consistency is, is that when we have to interpret things that go our way, the same as we interpret things that go against us.
And I, and I think you're right at this.
Well, the result is a disappointment for everybody because I'm sure Biden didn't want to, Have to deal with this open border fiasco.
I mean, you know, he owns it now.
Well, I mean, and I want you to listen.
These are two, I'm an attorney, you know, former acting attorney general.
We get this.
Are we lighting ourselves on fire claiming the court's illegitimate because we got a ruling we quote didn't agree with?
No!
We're gonna run out of time here in just a minute, though, man.
I gotta do this.
I'm sitting here today.
If you're on Rumble, you can see us live.
I have my University of Georgia shirt on.
Wasn't, you know, sure about this.
But, you know, national champions for a little bit longer.
But, big news out of the Big Ten.
What are you doing, USC and UCLA?
Yeah, well, so it's exciting.
I have a national footprint.
It's gonna be wild.
Top four media markets to have the Big Ten network.
It's the game changer.
Big Ten and SEC are the two.
I love it.
I love it, Matt.
Thanks so much, buddy.
Talk to you later.
to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth to help you God.
I do.
Please be seated.
When I was six, I wandered the streets by myself.
When I was six, I wandered streets by myself.
You were hungry and didn't know when you'd eat.
Some place in my life, the roads split off.
I had gone to the seminary.
I had gone to all-white schools.
I was never gonna be a part of that world.
I was never gonna be white.
The problem is, I could never go back completely to the world I came from.
We're supposed to be revolutionaries.
We work for anybody who's kind of in your face.
I saw what I had become, lashing out at every single thing.
And then I asked God, if you take anger out of my heart, I'll never hate again.
And that was the beginning of the slow return to where I started.
I want my candidacy to unify our country.
I was under constant attack.
You're not really black because you're not doing what we expect black people to do.
I will nominate Judge Clarence Thomas to serve as Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
That's when all heck broke loose.
Judge Thomas began to use work situations to discuss sex.
We know exactly what's going on here.
This is the wrong black guy.
He has to be destroyed.
You really didn't matter.
What mattered was what they wanted.
So you'd still like to serve on the Supreme Court?
I'd rather die than withdraw from the process.
I wouldn't be able to say I lived up to my oath and did my best.
I wouldn't be able to say I lived up to my father.
I wouldn't be able to say I lived up to my father.
I wouldn't be able to say I lived up to my father.
They are saying that they don't agree with America First.
How do you say that?
Magnificent.
Alright.
We're back here on America First.
This is Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Gorka.
It is great to be here.
Before we get digging into it, I need to tell you about something.
The fight for the unborn is raging in our country.
The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, clearing the way for many states to ban or severely limit abortion.

I can't emphasize that enough.
Folks, no matter what side you're on, do you understand what is actually happening in an abortion?
And it's not It's not about birth control.
In fact, I think the left has went so extreme on abortion and the killing of innocent life.
You need to see this movie.
This is something you need to stream.
Enlighten yourself.
Find out what is going on.
Because if we're out here fighting, you need to know why you're fighting.
And folks, we've got a lot to fight for as we go through.
But let's get to some calls.
If you want to call, line up and call 833-33-GORKA.
That is 833-334-6752.
Doug Collins filling in for the good doctor.
We got Bruce from Denver.
Bruce, how we doing today?
Pretty good, Doug.
What's on your mind?
I think most of the problems we're having in America is because large numbers of people believe lies.
They lie to us all the time.
On the abortion issue, That's not a baby, that's a clump of cells.
And on the border issue, illegal immigration is good for this country.
And on climate change, every penny spent and every ounce of energy expended to fight climate change is not only wasted They're using climate change to advance their Marxist agenda.
Yeah, Bruce, have you ever seen Bruce, and I'll ask you a question, and I agree with what you're saying, I mean, because they use the terms, twist the terms to make it, you know, palatable.
But have you, I mean, in my years of existence, I've never seen a more George Orwellian vision of 1984 in that book, is some of the disinformation and the fight on the left to keep that information vague to the vast American amount of people.
But here's the problem, Bruce, you know why lies work?
Because people aren't educated.
That's the problem.
We've got to do a better job on the conservatives of educating, and we've got to be willing to engage the left in this fight.
And I see so many, and that's why I love being on America First.
I love Dr. Gorka and the other, you know, the folks, that's why I do my podcast, the Doug Collins podcast.
If you want even more of what I'm dishing out, go to thedougcollinspodcast.com and find it out.
Because, Bruce, frankly, we've got to have better educated conservatives.
Yeah.
Well, for example, on the climate change, Google the Little Ice Age.
Starting about 1000, the Earth started getting colder and colder and colder, and it went on for centuries.
And we're still not as warm as we were back in the year 1000.
When things started cooling down.
We're still not as warm.
So it's the whole thing is a waste.
And they say that we had the most free and fair election.
Well, how do you view the whole January 6th mess if Trump was right and 2,000 mules proves that they stole the election?
Yeah.
Because Bruce, too many people don't sit and watch.
Bruce, thanks for calling the show today.
Thank you.
I mean, Bruce, you bring out a point.
And what Bruce brought out there was the simple fact of bringing out truths like climate change and whether it be about abortion and others.
I mean, this is this is the problem.
When you bring out truth, you've got to continue because you're going to be fought against the truth.
Bruce brings, you know, bring, you know, especially this issue of climate change is amazing to me.
I've never had yet one of these climate change scientists be able to explain to me how it was warmer in a time and before the quote internal combustion engine.
I haven't heard it.
But that's the way it goes.
We got another call Steve from Atlanta.
Steve, how we doing?
Alright, OK.
Okay.
Steve, Steve, real quickly.
I tell you what, Steve, we're coming into a break.
Can you just hold on?
I'll get you right after the break.
Okay.
Absolutely.
Thank you.
Thanks, Dave.
Thank you.
Alright, we're back.
We've got a lot of things coming up here in the next little bit, but we're going to get back to the collars here as we come in to this segment.
We have the summer is here.
The liberals are on the prowl, but we as conservatives have got to fight back.
We're going to do that here.
All right, Steve.
Steve's calling in from Atlanta.
Let's hear from Steve.
Sorry you had to wait.
Thanks for waiting through the break.
That's fine.
Hey, Representative Collins.
Hey, if you would indulge me, I've got one statement, one question that I want to get your opinion on something, your take on something here in Georgia.
Okay, first statement.
Most politicians, I can't stand.
I mean, I wouldn't with them if their hearts were on fire.
You are the exception to that rule.
Whenever I hear you on the radio, I actually call out, preach on, brother Doug.
I love it.
And now my question, I know you're not the kind of guy to do anything without a good reason, but the left refers to us as, just to name a few, Nazis, murderers, traitors, and you consistently refer to leftists as liberals.
Are you trying to take the high road, or do you have a...
Well, I think it's a little bit of both.
to them in a nice manner when they call us the most filthy words imaginable.
I think it's a little bit of both.
I mean, I've learned that some of the, what I have learned in my life, Steve, is this, is that I can shred you apart and use the nicest language in the world because I'm a Southern and I will shred you and make you look like a fool.
We're famous for that, you're right.
And bless your heart, okay?
And I agree with you, Steve.
But I think, here's my problem.
Anybody that's watched me, you're not gonna cross me, okay?
I mean, I'm gonna go at you, but I can also do it in a way, because I think when liberals do what they do, they diminish their actual argument.
And now look, I can call them everything in the world.
And believe me, I've thought about it.
But the issue is, is when they call me, I mean, think about this.
If they may have a legitimate beef with me, let's just say they have a, but yet they call me a racist because I believe that voter integrity laws ought to matter.
And they have it showing an ID for you to vote actually is something you should do.
You're calling me a racist.
When the average person who doesn't hear, those two things don't line up.
So for me, personally, it's more of, I'm gonna go at you, I'm gonna do it with a smile on my face, I'm gonna have the happy warrior in my heart, because I believe that we have the best ideas.
I have the best ideas, I don't have to stoop to your level.
You have the wrong ideas, that's why you gotta call me everything in the book.
And you'll be the bigger man for it and look better.
Okay, one thing, you're pretty plugged into the political situation here in Georgia.
Georgia 7th, Matt Gonsalves, what's your take on him?
Great guy.
I'm supporting Matt.
I'm looking forward to that.
I would love for the political upset of this cycle would be him to take Lucy McBath down.
But we got to get a lot of folks out there.
I know that they wrote off the issue.
The district is much more, you know, it's Gwinnett-centric.
It's a lot of changing up there.
But hey, if we're going to have a chance, this will be the year to do it.
I'll give you a quick example.
Steve, thanks for calling, buddy.
Let me finish my thought on you.
Twelve years ago, nobody thought that Sanford Bishop in the 2nd District of Georgia could be beat.
A little-known campaign, Mike Cohen, who was a state representative that I had served with, ran a campaign, was strapped for cash, came within a few thousand votes of taking down Sanford Bishop, a 20-year congressman in South Georgia.
It depends on the year, and that was one of those years that looked like a lot of this year.
So, Mark Gonsalves is up there.
Please get out and, from my perspective, vote for him.
All right, next up on the list, Sam calling from Orlando.
Sam, how we doing, buddy?
Sir, thank you this afternoon.
Have a great afternoon, sir.
Oh, we're having a good one.
Yes, sir.
Great to be able to speak with you.
So what's on my mind is this.
We're talking about New World Order from the last 20, 30 years.
And now we're going to put a word in front of it called Liberal New World Order.
All right.
What I see is this.
We have a 200 year Workshop that Donald Trump stepped in.
Unbelievable.
They stopped everybody before Trump from doing it, but they did not stop him and he did interrupt it.
So now they're in panic mode, and if they don't do it now, before 22's elections, they're not going to get it done.
So what they're doing is dropping it.
They cannot say, you cannot say, that they did not tell you that they pretty much, and I'll keep saying this, they're declaring, you've already had a Democrat say, on live air, that if the Republicans get back their house in the Senate, that we declared civil war for the second time.
Now listen, The Lord blessed us to win against England.
No other country could ever do that, and we did it.
And we were nobody.
Civil War.
The Lord blessed us, and we got everybody where we're at today.
Look, I agree with you.
I think that they're desperate.
I mean, I've said it all day, and it's like, you know, it's like they're running around in disarray.
They're not going to stop.
No, no, Sam, Sam, you're right.
And I think this is, this is the reason, you know, in a serious note, it's a fun Friday here with Doug Collins filling in on America First for Seb Gorka.
Sam, thanks for calling and I'm going to emphasize what he just said.
They're not going to quit.
Folks, if you believe, and I'm going to give this, as we got just a minute or two here, I got to emphasize something.
I'm going to talk straight in the camera.
I'll talk to you straight on the radio, wherever you are listening across this wonderful, wonderful country.
Okay?
And this is what it is.
Conservatives, if you believe that we're simply going to win because Joe Biden's presidency is incompetent, because inflation is high, because we bungled Afghanistan, because we have all these problems, you don't do that.
You could be sadly mistaken.
There are people out there who do not pay attention to this.
There's people out there who are simply in it and looking at what either the government can give them or what liberal beliefs make them feel better.
And it is up for us as conservatives to realize that they're going to keep fighting.
They're going to call us every name in the book.
They're going to try and do everything they can to do this.
And you've got to get fighting.
And I'm seeing it here in places like Georgia.
I'm seeing it in Ohio.
I'm seeing it in Pennsylvania, where I've traveled.
I've seen it in other places.
And you can't do that.
Folks, if you listen to conservative radio, if you're listening out there and you're a conservative, then you need to do what the Democrats do, and that is go out and convince people of your ideas.
You need to go get people to vote.
You need to make sure that we're not, because I've already heard people say this, well, I didn't like who we, you know, I didn't like this Republican or that Republican, so I'm not going to vote for them.
Folks, there is not a Republican on the ticket that you cannot say is not going to be better than any Democrat on the ticket.
This is a liberal ideology.
Sam brought this up.
Sam is right.
They're going to keep fighting this.
And if you're out there simply believing, well, Joe Biden, oh, we got this one in the bag.
We're going to take the House, take the Senate.
Quit!
Stop it!
Stop it right now!
Because we may have the liberals on the run.
They may be, you know, their hair on fire.
But we've got to make sure that we're out there voting.
We've got to make sure that our issues are on the forefront.
We've got to make sure that we're doing what we can do.
Because if not, we're going to sit back on the day after November election and we're going to say, hey, what happened?
I thought we were going to do good.
Folks, do not ever assume anything in politics.
I've said it too many times.
I don't want to say it again.
That's about as serious as I'm going to get for right now on that issue, but Sam is right.
We cannot push back any harder than we can to make sure that people understand that a conservative agenda is what matters in America.
Hey, we're just getting started here.
Coming back.
They said it was safe to go to the beach again.
Dun-dun.
Dun-dun.
Get through the break.
I'll talk about it as we come back here on Doug Collins filling in for Seb Gorka on America First!
Be right back.
Sebastian Gorka. - All right, we're back here.
This is Doug Collins filling in for Sebastian Gorka.
We're glad to have you joining us.
If you want to join us in the next hour, 833-33-GORKA.
833-334-6752.
You know, I'm one of those big film buffs, and I mean, we've had a great time.
I know Sebastian's talked about the Top Gun, and we've talked about it off-air being, you know, one of the great ones in it.
But I'm also a big classic movie person.
I love Rocky movies.
I love everything else.
But when it's summertime, When it's summertime, I begin to hear the music in the background.
When you go to the beach, it becomes ominous.
And maybe, just maybe, the words of the echoes of what was it from 50 years ago?
What did the captain say?
You're gonna need a bigger boat.
Folks, we're gonna need a bigger boat.
And you don't believe this is it.
Cape Cod new story at New York Post today.
I just want to give you something fun for Friday here.
And for Maybe for some of you to scare the bejesus out of you before you go to Cape Cod.
Sharks are back at Cape Cod.
They've got, including great whites, off of Cape Cod.
They have seen, just in the past week, 11 sharks spotted in the region, according to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, which tracks these things.
Um, what they're saying is that these predators that come to the coast of Massachusetts during warm weather, often near coastlines, and drop off, uh, dramatically, uh, you know, when it comes in because they get the seals, they get things to eat, but it really, uh, brings back.
We're almost coming up the, the, our folks on, uh, producing staff here reminded me that it's coming up on 50, uh, years here, just in a couple of years for the great whites, uh, uh, to come back.
But I just got to thinking about that, you know, that movie you go out there and how many times when I was younger, uh, When I go to the ocean, it's still to this day, I have a friend of mine, a friend of my wife and I, she just refuses to really want to go into the ocean at all because she says, I can't see anything out there.
And again, the visions of Jaws, the great white coming in, but it's not just in Cape Cod, folks.
I mean, we've had, there's been shark attacks off California and also down here in Florida where there is, down in Florida, there's a good bit of shark activity.
In fact, there was just, I believe it was a 15 or 16 foot hammerhead off, I mean, Literally, if you see the drone footage, they weren't 15-20 feet off the shoreline.
So, I just thought, you know, there's your summertime story that, you know, as you look into it, you may want to think about as you get ready to go to the beach and keep it up for also summer moviegoers.
Also, let me do a quick I know that we, not only from a Jaws perspective and the Sharks out there, the Top Gun movie is still killing it.
I mean, the new Top Gun Maverick.
But also one of the things that is so important about it is it's the just unabashed pride in our military.
And there's been a lot of things going on recently.
We may get into a little bit later in the show talking about the recruitments now.
This, you know, show just shows the best of our military.
It shows what we can do and how we can do it.
It's why America is first.
It's why the rest of the world wants us to be.
And it's why right now I'm so scared when you have Biden and his cronies that are taking care of it.
This is Doug Collins filling in for Seb Gorka here on America First.
We're about ready for another couple hours.
You be with us.
Take you a little quick break.
Come back and see us.
We'll be ready.
We'll be ready.
But you can make a whole movie on the Russiagate hoax.
It's all documented.
There was an illusion being created, using the most awesome tools and the greatest tricks that the American intelligence community had learned to use against our enemies.
Now it was being deployed against the American people and our president.
This is the biggest political scandal in modern history, which makes Watergate look like a tiff.
The FBI director has no credibility.
The left used to not trust the FBI, and now they love them.
This can happen to General Michael T. Flynn.
Imagine what they do to anybody who has a single strike against them.
35 Russian diplomats in the U.S.
expelled.
The prosecution of General Flynn wasn't a pursuit of criminal activity.
It was a setup.
Flynn actually had details.
So he was talking about going after people's budgets.
They were terrified.
Media didn't start as neutral.
Media hasn't been neutral all its life.
The two faces of Hillary Clinton are coming out.
In fact, through WikiLeaks, that she says one thing and...
Oh, no.
They worked hand-in-glove with Comey to try to delegitimize Trump.
They were not there to tell the truth.
A political dirty trick is being carried out by our intelligence community.
Honestly, none of us really know, sort of holistically, what to think about this dossier.
They went into Congress.
They said, nothing here.
Doesn't matter.
We'll keep going with FISA.
We'll keep going with the investigation.
And more importantly, we will go on TV, day in and day out, and lie to the American people to their face.
And nothing's going to happen to us.
The nation and all of our freedoms hang by a thread.
And the military apparatus of this country is about to be handed over to scum who are beholden to scum!
Russian scum!
We had not one person claim that they had or had seen evidence of Trump colluding with the Russians.
Devin Nunes was the hero in the forest.
He was alone, he was mocked, he was attacked.
Devin Nunes was subject to such scorn for saying the conclusions that we brought forth in that report, which all proved to be true.
That Russiagate was a false story.
To target their political opposition.
To carry out their insurance policies.
I believe that this is a conspiracy.
These guys have perpetrated the greatest crime against the American people ever seen.
It was a coup d'etat.
This is how sick and twisted these people are.
I recently confirmed that on numerous occasions the intelligence community incidentally collected information about U.S.
citizens involved in the Trump transition.
It was shocking to see some of the over-classification that was done to hide either corruption or abuse of authority and just to make sure certain agencies didn't look bad.
We have a peaceful transition of power process.
That's not what happened.
There were more meetings.
There were more leaks.
There were more attacks.
The thing that they were investigating the Trump campaign for is what they themselves were doing.
Not just the Democratic Party and their operatives, but also the FBI.
If I were writing about the time frame that we lived in, and that we're living in now, I would say it wasn't supposed to happen.
They weren't supposed to know.
The entire time this was going on, they thought this was going to be what sunk the Donald Trump presidency.
and they were just looking for the golden goose, and they still haven't found it because it doesn't exist.
Obama tore this country down!
No one stood up to him!
Nobody!
Because he was black!
You need to wake up!
My parents didn't teach me that I was a victim.
They can turn back voting rights.
Didn't nobody donate to us the right to vote.
Uncle Tom is somebody who has sold out by embracing the white man.
Uncle Tom.
Bedwines.
Hoot liquor.
Black white supremacists.
Chucking and jiving.
House Negro.
Coon.
Uncle Tom.
Coon.
Coon.
I have a Coon award over there.
Racism.
of the year war most black people don't believe that other blacks can be independent free thinkers i believe the legacy and the ancestry of black americans is being insulted every single day i will not pretend to be a victim in this country i know that that makes many people on the left uncomfortable racist racist racial racist racism a thousand cuts of racism the liberal will try to control a black person through the concept of racism because they know that we are very proud
I never felt that because I was black or I was poor or a woman that I couldn't do something.
I grew up being told of my disadvantages, that this country is unfair to black people.
The ideology is implanted into you subconsciously to believe these things.
It's like a cancerous plague in the mind of black Americans.
We're brainwashed to think, is it because I'm black?
America's not ours, so we got shipped here.
No, our blood is on this soil.
We own this too.
There should be a pride that we have in the fact that this country was built by many great black men and women.
Are you trying to say that this country does not specialize in racism and bigotry?
So long as black people continue to have their psyche filled by that nonsense, we won't have an awakening.
Thank you.
Can you believe it?
They are saying that they don't agree with America first.
How do you say that?
magnificent.
All right, we are back here on America First This is Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka on America First.
Glad to have you with us.
Also, not only is this the place where you get every day with Dr. Gorka and myself and others giving you the best in conservative commentary, the conservative action plan that we need.
You get the best bumper music in the business, I'm telling you!
I mean, come on.
You can't do wrong with that kind of stuff.
And I've got folks texting me from all over the country.
I've had some texts from out in Idaho and Montana.
They're listing in today.
We're glad to have you part here today.
I'm going to jump back into where we were at the first segment.
We've talked about it a little bit in the last hour with Matt Whitaker when Matt called in.
This is complete unhinging by the left when it comes to the issues before the Supreme Court.
What is amazing to me, and you should see through this, so this is your lesson point.
This will be the time you get out your pencil and paper and you actually write this stuff down so that you can remember it later.
Here's what the left is frustrated by.
The left is frustrated by six justices who actually read the text of the lawsuits before them, they read the legislation that either may or may not have caused this, the law that is behind what is bringing before them, and then they appear it before the Constitution.
And they say, is this enumerated powers?
Then yes, we'll find it under here.
Does it violate one of those enumerated powers?
No.
Or does it violate one of those enumerated powers?
Yes.
Is it made up out of thin air?
We've talked about this from ad nauseum here, but you've got to understand this.
The reason the left doesn't like this is we vote in the Congress and we live by words on paper, not ideas.
Remember, the left is this, oh, I feel it, so it must be true!
No!
Just because you feel it may mean it's good, it may mean it's true, or it may mean that you just had bad pizza last night!
Just because you feel it...
When it comes to the law, does it make it true?
And this is the part that has gotten me, you know, so fired up about these last few cases upon the Supreme Court, is because they're actually looking at the law, and they're actually, what I loved about several of these cases, is democracy actually is a part of the Constitutional Republic that our founders actually brought us, or is actually working again, folks.
You actually have a Supreme Court that says, oh my, I'm not a legislator.
I didn't run in an election and say, I'm going to Congress and vote for stuff.
No, I'm not a legislator.
I wear a black robe that actually looks at the law and compares it to what's being passed by those guys across the street to see if it actually works.
Now, when you understand how our government works, it makes it a lot easier, okay?
Some of you I know, and especially the left, really, you know, but I think sometimes it's more conservatives who slept through history class.
Because I think the liberals get it.
Because when they look back on the history class, when they look at how the government actually works, they started working to change it.
Saul Alinsky and his rules for radicals actually started bringing this out, and conservatives better get a grip.
Because the conservative Supreme Court right now has actually given us the benefit of actually revisiting these areas and now it's going to go to the legislatures.
But I'm going to tell you, the left is, I mean, like I said, I just love it because the left right now is having their agenda exposed and they're just melting out there.
Snowflakes ain't got a thing on these liberals.
And they're melting all over.
But first, you don't believe it.
Just to show you how far off that abortion has become a religion to the left, take a listen to this on Clip 6.
American democracy and the state of American women's rights are being really looked at, not just by the rest of the West as these meetings are happening, but by the rest of the world.
You think the Taliban are going to actually say, oh yeah, we're going to adhere to what you tell us for recognition based on what, you know, on what we do about women?
This is really serious this moment for American women and for America's ability to hold its head up as a democracy that respects the rights of every constituent.
Are you kidding me?
Are you kidding me?
I mean, Christiane Lamport, at one point, you know, instilled this celebrity correspondent, you know, and looked at, and this is, this is what she comes up with, that on the world stage that we have been diminished because now
The Constitution has been, our Constitution, which is upheld for over 200, uh, you know, plus year 50, almost 250 years plus now, is actually upheld and was actually litigated and found to be, these court cases were decided that judges should not make these rights.
It should be legislators who decide what is going on in the, in their different states and not taking a right away.
But, uh, Christiane Lamport says that the Taliban is watching us?
Oh, give me a break.
If you're all across this country right now and, you know, this is just amazing to me.
If you think that this is the utmost, that the Taliban gives one rat's rear end about our abortion policy, you're as dumb as they are.
Where's Christiane Rampour's story about beheading and taking the hands off and beheading people and keeping the women from going to class?
Where's their discussion about a closed society in which they have no rights and no privileges while she sits and has the audacity to say that here in the United States where you have the freedom?
By the way, abortion wasn't made illegal by this ruling.
I am so sick of them twisting the truth.
It was sent back to the states and right now, if you want to go have an abortion and kill the baby in the womb, then you've got plenty of states to choose from.
This is what this new law order looks like.
They don't like it because their wants and their desires have been all of a sudden met a court that says, you may have those ideas, you may want to do those things, but it's time you go through the right way.
But the audacity for her to bring up the Taliban, where was her criticism?
Of Joe Biden bringing out our troops and having 13 Americans killed in Afghanistan because they didn't have a clue.
That's the problem.
I don't want to see her address.
She's not addressing it.
But you know it gets worse.
This is a liberal order for them.
They believe that they're changing the corner with all the pain that you're in right now.
With inflation, gas prices, you can't figure out for some how to get the baby formula.
They like it right now.
You don't believe me?
Take a clip and listen to this to Brian Reese and talk about this new liberal order.
Sustainable.
What do you say to those families who say, listen, we can't afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years.
This is just not sustainable.
Well, what you heard from the president today was a clear articulation of the stakes.
This is about the future of the liberal world order, and we have to stand firm.
But at the same time, what I'd say to that family and to Americans across the country is you have a president administration that is going to do everything in its power to blunt those price increases and bring those prices down.
Good news are the last two weeks we've seen the price of gas to the pump come down about 20 cents, but still unacceptably high.
That's why the president before he was at NATO in the G7 earlier this week was working to bring the G7 allies together around exploring something around a price cap to cap the price that can be paid for Russian oil, which will actually target the pain more directly on Vladimir Putin and not on the rest which will actually target the pain more directly on Vladimir Putin and not It's why you have the president calling for, here at home, a temporary gas tax holiday.
Not only at the federal level, but for states to follow the lead and take equivalent actions as well.
And it's why we are engaged with the industry, encouraging them to increase supply, increase supply of oil right now, and also increase that refinery capacity that we know those companies took offline during the pandemic.
We need to get more of that online so that we get more gas into the system.
All of these steps, none of them is a silver bullet alone, but you've got an administration that's working on every angle we can to try to keep this price reduction that we're seeing going.
Huh?
Really?
You know, I don't know about where you grew up, but if I told a whopper that big, my daddy would tell a whopper across my rear end.
I mean, are you kidding me?
As you look at what he's saying here, and you get into this whole issue, I mean, he makes no sense!
I mean, it's just, it's just no sense in what he's saying.
And yet this is the administration's policy.
When they hear that you're having, that your families are in trouble because they're having to pay for, I just had a text from a listener just a few minutes ago, uh, here on the, on the network who said they just paid $5, over $5 a gallon for, for regular gas.
When you're having your meals and your cost of food going up, when rents are going up, when you have this problem, and then they're trying to tell me, oh well the price came down 20 cents.
I don't know where it came down 20 cents.
Maybe in states like Georgia and other places it did suspend the gas tax.
They say we're going to do our best because Biden's not doing a thing.
But what really frustrated me the most about this whole discussion, this whole liberal world order, is the thought that goes on behind it.
What they want to do is take the pain that you're in and force you into another activity.
They want to take the pain that you're in with your gas and your cars, no matter if you can afford one or not, they want to move you to an electric vehicle.
They want to move you to a different balance of your energy.
Here's what these people don't get.
Is the grid already stretched enough and while they are making their war on American energy independence, they're going into areas and saying we're building no more pipelines.
God forbid they ever let us build a refinery.
You know, they talk about this, oh, well, we'll increase our capacity.
They're already at 95% plus in our refineries.
The problem is we need to build more refineries.
We need an administration that actually understands that energy can be independent here and we can balance all of these energy choices from solar to nuclear.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
I brought it up and I'm going to do that.
I'm going to do the job before we go out on this break.
I'm going to do the Joe Biden whisper.
It's nuclear.
It's just nuclear.
Take nuclear.
Oh Lord, liberals, you don't have a clue on this.
That's why you're hurting American people.
We're going to be back to talk about it here in just a few minutes, but we're Doug Collins filling in for Seb Gorka here on America First.
Don't miss a minute.
You have the right to remain silent.
Anything you say will be used against you.
You are not listening!
I want your job to be taken from you.
A protest has turned violent at California, Berkeley.
This is why we're fighting for the soul of America.
You should be able to share ideas without fear of being fired from your job or shouted down.
You are not to be heard.
This is one of the few things one could say we have no precedent for in the United States.
You have the right to remain silent.
The only way we separate the good ideas from the bad ideas is to be free to say whatever we want about them.
Anything you say will be used against you.
There's no free speech for fascists.
Your posts on Facebook, Twitter, and social media will be saved to shame you.
Kevin Hart has stepped down from hosting this year's Oscars.
Anything you say that we don't like will be used to shut you up.
Donald Trump, go away!
Racist activist!
You can't be funny.
It's creating an atmosphere of fear and repression and it's gonna bust.
You cannot think differently.
It makes it difficult for you to learn from other people.
Isn't it spooky that we're having this discussion?
You can't challenge us.
Kids grew up dipped in Purell, playing soccer games where they never kept score.
There is no debate.
The type of diversity that they hate is diversity of thought.
We reserve the right to be offended by everything.
No university should ever create a safe space.
You're not going to protect people, and so the best you can do is to make them strong.
It bothers me for the young people who are being deprived of anything that could open their minds.
you have the right to remain silent
you have the right to remain silent
you have the right to remain silent
you have the right to remain silent
you have the right to remain silent This is America First, and we are delighted to welcome our very special guest host, former Congressman Doug Collins.
All right.
Thank you, Dr. Gorka.
We are excited to be here.
This show is running flat out right now, just taking liberals, putting them in their way, and destroying the ideas as we go.
That's what we're here for.
Because conservatives, if you don't, they win.
And I want to get back to this idea that we just heard from this administration of Brian Reese, who's talked about it in different terms, where he's talked about this liberal world order.
And really, look at what they're doing.
And this is the part that if you don't get, and if you're one of those independent I, you know, liberal thinker.
And you're looking at this administration.
I cannot give you a better example of why you should begin to understand that the liberals do not care about you.
They only care about their ideology.
They only care about what is in it for government and themselves.
And there's different classes of people.
And they don't care for all the rhetoric of deciding, hey, we're out for the little people.
It's those of us in the working class.
They don't care about you.
They are doing absolutely nothing.
I mean, when it comes to, except exacerbating inflation, they're doing nothing.
This price cap issue, in the clip we played before the break, the price cap issue is a guarantee no win.
You know when we actually used this before?
I'll wait.
Think about it.
The only president that probably right now is thankful that Joe Biden actually got elected, and he's from my homestead, Jimmy Carter.
Jimmy Carter?
Now, Jimmy tried this.
It didn't work.
Price cap's not going to work.
And if you're capping the cost of Russian oil, I have a question for you.
We're not, you know, there's more Russian oil being put out in the system right now.
This is what liberals don't want you to understand.
Let me break this down for you.
At right this point because China, India, and others are buying Russian oil.
Russia's ruble is at its highest level in years.
Their output is actually more than pre-war and almost pre-pandemic.
They're sitting out there.
Now, what you were told about was, you know, this the world energy markets fluctuating here because of Russia.
Again, you heard it yesterday.
Uh, where the president, uh, Biden said, you know, if you want to talk about oil prices while he was still at the G7, he said, it's Russia, Russia, Russia.
What?
I mean, did he take off from the, the Brady bunch?
And we got Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, you know, he doesn't know any better.
So he just blames Russia on this issue.
This issue was exacerbated by the fact Putin invaded Ukraine, but it was not the reason that we're here and where we're at completely with this oil issue.
It is because Joe Biden made a conscious, uh, uh, uh.
deception on the American people and a conscious choice on the day one to shut down the Keystone pipeline to be initiate a war on American energy independence, whether it be other pipelines or whether it be refineries or whether it be drilling or anything else and forcing energy companies to reverse course, change course, because they're not going to spend folks billions of dollars to go invest in something that they inherently have a president of the United States saying, we want to put you out of business.
This is the new liberal order.
This is what they're talking about.
They're wanting you to believe that if they just make it more painful enough at the pump that you're going to run out and buy you a Prius.
You know, I guess for Donald Trump, it was make America great again.
For Joe Biden, it's make Prius great again.
I don't know what it is, but they're trying to use your pain to do this.
And it's because liberals, frankly, don't care.
It is about ideology.
It is about government intrusion.
It is about government centralizing its power, making sure that they are the ones that control it.
Because as you always know, it is the elites who know better.
It is the educated quote who know better.
It is the Ivy league universities and those who are saying, here's what we believe.
We've never worked really a day in our life, but we're going to tell you what you ought to believe.
And if you're suffering a little bit, then that's just tough.
It's for the greater good.
Have you not heard this around the world?
If you studied your history books at all.
But again, this is why I bring this up.
It's because over the last few weeks, the left has had to come to the reality of a conservative Supreme Court that has actually said, we are not going to go by just feelings again.
We're going to decide cases based on the fact that law matters, that words on paper matter, the Constitution matters, enumerated powers matter.
And it's almost like they've forgotten.
And this is the part also, and I haven't had a chance to get into it, but I'm going to get into it real briefly here.
One of the issues that the liberals are having struggling with now is that the Supreme Court, although they will tell you that they've ended, Roe v. Wade has ended, that abortion is illegal That's not true.
There are now actually states who are willing to do destination abortions and everything else.
I mean, you're going to see it come in New York, California.
You've already seen it.
There's a fight out there, a death, what I call is the state to be tagged with the death moniker.
We want to be the state in which most abortions are done, in which most children in the womb lose their life.
I mean, I don't think that, put that on a Chamber of Commerce kind of sticker, but that's what they're asking for.
But it goes back to the fact that with guns, in New York State, when they actually put forward in the Constitution, when they said the second court permit actually matters, I love Justice Thomas.
I love it when he said, he said, this is not a second class right, it is the second amendment.
It is something that we have in New York and those other states that said we may give you a permit if we feel like it.
They were told, oops, the Constitution says something different.
You can't restrict that.
But what it did was send it back to the states.
This is that whole issue and concept of federalism and that we're a constitutional republic, not a democracy.
It reminded me of a wonderful time when I had a conversation.
With someone who typically espouses liberal beliefs, whether they're true, false, or indifferent, and that is the Reverend Al Sharpton.
Al Sharpton invited... Go ahead.
I don't understand, Congressman, is how we pass laws the Supreme Court upholds, and you guys come in and say, we're not gonna fund it, and even worse, if money goes there, we'll shut the whole government down.
We thought we lived in a democracy with a balance of powers.
Come on, Congressman, that's not what this country's supposed to be about.
Hey, Al, just a reminder, this isn't a democracy, it's a republic.
And we're reflective of the people that we represent.
Oh, this is not a democracy!
It's a republic.
You know, it's sad when you have to remind TV hosts who are out there on the front lines every day screaming about the Constitution, rights being violated here and there, you have to remind them exactly that we're a republic.
And that it is the Congress that makes these, it's the legislative bodies that make these decisions.
But yet, they don't want to realize that.
And in fact, I've talked about it before.
I'll bring it up again.
The reason they don't like it is because they can't sell the ideas.
And it is within every legislative body's prerogative.
And back then, the discussion with Al Sharpton at that time was the shutdown over Obamacare.
And the fact that he said, well, the Congress ought to just do basically whatever the administration says, even if they're not of the same party, because, well, it's liberal and we want it.
And I had to remind him that all the time that it is the Congress that puts the budget forward.
It is the Congress that puts the appropriations bill forward.
It is the Congress that does this.
And that is why it is so important, come November this year, that we take that gavel out of Nancy Pelosi's hands.
Because you cannot continue this process of inflaming and allowing this liberal rhetoric to continue.
And that is why, when you look at why the liberals are so upset, this is why you look at what is going on right now, that you have the understanding that the founders had it set up properly.
You had the executive branch, which carries out the laws made by Congress.
You have the Congress, who actually is supposed to do the work That is out there.
They're the ones that are supposed to do the heavy lifting.
They're the ones that do the budgets.
They're the one that appropriates money.
They're the ones that decide how or when agencies are to act or not act.
And then that gives the power to the executive branch to carry those orders out.
We just saw that in the EPA case out of West Virginia.
This is the way it's supposed to work, folks, and the judiciary is supposed to interpret those words on paper.
Folks, we're just getting started.
This is Doug Collins here filling in for Dr. Gorka on America First.
Glad to have you all over this wonderful nation getting ready for the 4th of July.
We are going to take a quick break.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
We'll be back here in just a minute.
Can't handle the truth?
Is reality just too much?
There's always NPR.
I hear they have tote bags.
This is America First with Sebastian Gorka.
All right.
It's, uh, this is Doug Collins filling in for Sebastian Gorka today on America First.
Great to have you coming.
In fact, if you're out there listening, or if you wanted to tune into our rumble, uh, you actually can see me playing the drums and go.
So it's, it's, it's a Friday.
It's Friday.
But that means also Friday.
It means our show sponsor, Car Firearms, wants you to know that the Auto Ordnance Custom Rally Cry 1911 is a new product for 2022 and can be ordered through any gun store nationwide.
The shipments will begin in December.
If you've seen this beautiful firearm, you need to go out and purchase it.
And I'll be willing, you know, I have a birthday coming up next month.
Anybody willing to call Car Firearms and, you know, gift me, I'll be happy to accommodate that.
We're back here on America First.
Glad to have you with us today.
One of the interesting impacts of the stories and it being Second Amendment, talking about firearms, is this whole issue of this case out of New York and I want to just really lay this this case out a little bit for you because it was and I know you've talked about it but I want to go back to an issue.
This shows you how liberals and you know sort of the whole running you know show today is that the liberals are on fire because they're so upset that the the courts are actually interpreting as they should And he goes into the Second Amendment, and just as Thomas made the great clarification in there, they said that the Second Amendment was not a second class or a lesser class of rights.
And what was happening in New York was, as it was in I think it was nine other states if I'm not mistaken, they have what was called a May Carry Permit or May Own Permit.
That meant that if you could show just cause, on why you should get and be able to carry a firearm, then they would look at, they would give you a permit.
Now the reality was they weren't giving anybody permits, except in California and some in New York.
They would give it to very wealthy actors and actresses and liberals.
You know, those people who supposedly hate guns, they were getting the permits, and you saw this in California a great deal, but in other places, New York and others, they weren't giving the average person who wanted the gun for personal protection, they wouldn't give you a permit.
So it's called Just Cause.
They were looking for Just Cause.
Well, I think the biggest thing is, and I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to get this on a t-shirt and sell it.
I might make a dollar or two off of this because I want the t-shirt.
I would love to get maybe Justice Thomas' picture on a t-shirt and put under it, Just Cause, Second Amendment.
What do you think about that?
Just Cause!
Just because the Second Amendment says I have the right to own a firearm.
Just because the Second Amendment is in the Constitution, by the way, I can do that.
And that's what the liberals are upset about.
That's why we've got to keep this fight up.
That is why when you look back and you talk about the transformation of the Supreme Court, you took it from a court that had been its way through this sort of middle of the road.
And one of the areas that showed this up, and Justice Roberts, I think, in this last little bit, showed his true incrementalism colors.
And Jonathan Turley, who, again, is not a conservative, actually brought this out.
The opinion in the Dobbs case out of Mississippi, the case that overturned Roe, Now, number one, Justice Roberts did not agree with overturning Roe.
Fortunately, we had five others who did, but he did agree that Dobbs would have would pass constitutional muster.
What this predicted for John Roberts is it shows that he has no, and Turley was the one who actually brought this up, said that it shows this incrementalist approach that he had no real From a perspective of purpose or platform or belief in which his decision came from.
Now he said you could look at the, and I'll show this, you could look at the left.
Now the three justices on the left who did not want to overturn Roe, you know where they stood.
They are okay with the killing of a child in the womb.
They're okay with it.
They've settled that.
They're okay with it.
They find it that predominant of rights, the privacy rights that are out there that are not, by the way, in the Constitution.
So again, for anybody out there, here's your nugget for the day.
If you're out there and you're a conservative, the next time a liberal tells you that the court took away a constitutional right, all you have to do is look at them and say, no, you're wrong.
All the court did was take a judicial given right, which is very different than a constitutional right.
My constitutional right to freedom of speech is not given to me by justice.
It is not given to me by the court system.
It is given to me by the Constitution itself.
I see so many conservatives backing down on that point.
Why are we backing down on that point?
Why are we backing down on the point that it is in the Constitution?
And it's not in the Constitution.
And the distinction has been made by this court.
But back to Justice Roberts.
Back to Justice Roberts for a second.
Justice Roberts showed himself, frankly, to be a creature of what I'll call the courts.
A creature of the middle ground.
A creature of incrementalism.
A creature of one who says You know, I don't have strong feelings here, and if the court's already said it, I don't really want to make a wave, even though I may not believe it.
I'm not going to stand out there because I really, I think the court ought to be quote, above politics.
Above politics?
How about just to interpret the law?
When you interpret the law, Justice Roberts, Chief Justice, that's what you're there for.
You made yourself irrelevant.
And in that case, we'll go down, I believe, as a history.
Dobbs' case made Justice Roberts, frankly, irrelevant.
With Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Sebastian Gorker here on America First, we will be back in just a minute.
Thank you.
All right.
Amen.
Amen.
Thank you.
Car firearms.
I tell you, Donald Trump believes America should always be first and his patriotism has rallied Americans in manners never before seen.
Car Firearms Group loves America and shares President Trump's patriotism and passion for freedom.
They have been making a truly beautiful line of custom engraved pistols to honor President Trump and the latest one is just stunning.
The Rally Cry, 1911, pays tribute to President Trump's ability to draw Americans together.
It's covered with engravings depicting MAGA rallies and the love of America shown by Trump supporters.
The engraving is amazingly detailed with pictures of the crowds, President Trump and his signature, and the American flag.
There are little messages for fans hidden in the engravings such as Let's Go Brandon and God Bless America.
Keep in mind these guns are not just art, they are shooters.
Each one has a match grade .45 caliber barrel, enhanced trigger, extended safety, skeletonized hammer, and true glow night sights.
These guns are made from stainless steels, 100% in the United States.
To get one of your own, see your local dealer.
You will definitely want the Rally Cry 1911 in your collection.
And like I've said to the listeners here on America's First Day, this is Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka.
I have a birthday next month and anybody's willing, I would love to have a .45.
So, uh, don't know about you, but as we get going here on, uh, we continue the show.
I have a good friend of mine, a good friend of the show, Eric Pratt from Gun Owners of America.
Eric.
Eric, how are we doing today?
Hey, doing great, Doug.
It's great to be with you.
It's great to be with you again.
We did.
We did a show earlier this year and I'm glad to have Eric back on.
We got a lot to talk about.
Eric, I'm amazed I've been putting out this thing.
This this car, you know, 45.
This is rally crowd 1911 is is just, you know, I thought you think that make a great birthday present out there for me.
Maybe if my wife or children are hearing this.
It sure would.
It's too bad that.
You know, it's not Father's Day coming up.
That would be a great plug, but certainly a great July 4th gift.
Yeah, fantastic.
Yeah, always good stuff.
Always good stuff.
We come, I mean, earlier this year, I mean, we've been talking about a lot of things and again, uh, with crime, with guns, but everything else, uh, first off, I want to get your take on, uh, further what I was talking about concerning just calls.
And I think the issue we talked about in the last segment on this, the case out of New York with the concealed carry case, this was a, this was a big deal.
Talk to our listeners about that.
Oh, it was absolutely a big deal.
Uh, we are ecstatic.
Justice Thomas hit this one out of the park, as usual.
Basically, he rebuked the lower courts for ignoring the true meaning of the Second Amendment.
And so people in New York and several other states are now going to be able to more easily able to get a carry, get a carry gun, to carry a gun in public.
And I think ultimately, Doug, the issue came down to, should a law-abiding person have to show proper cause, as you just mentioned?
You know, do you have to show that you have a greater need to protect yourself than anyone else?
And, you know, it's just wrong that we're forcing people to, or that certain states were forcing people to jump over hurdles like that before they exercise their Second Amendment, right?
We certainly don't do that with other rights in the Bill of Rights, and we shouldn't do that with the Second Amendment, which protects a God-given right of self-defense.
I mean, you shouldn't have to prove that your name is John Wick and that you're being chased by a team of assassins to somehow show that you have greater need over anybody else.
I mean, it is just your God-given right to protect yourself.
And so the court did the right thing.
And I'll tell you, Doug, it's exciting what's happening since then because since that decision, as you probably know, the Supreme Court has vacated and remanded four cases.
For you non-lawyers out there, that means they've thrown out four cases and sent them back to the lower courts to be reconsidered.
And these are cases that not only deal with.
concealed carry, but also with magazine capacity and also semi-automatic firearms.
In other words, should they be banned?
Guns like AR-15, things like that.
So they've said, hey, you used the wrong standard.
The correct standard is the text and history of the Second Amendment.
So this is all very good news for us.
It is as we go forward, and I'm glad.
I'm also interested to get your take, Eric, on the – now, it's not a gun case, but I think it has a lot to do with this bureaucratic state that we're in that we see a lot of times dealing with alcohol, tobacco, and firearms.
We deal with, you know, everything.
Why in the world do we have... Why are silencers not being able to be purchased over-the-counter?
I have no idea why that's not.
I mean, it's just, it's crazy.
Why?
Because the ATF says it can't, and the law has never been changed to fix that.
But, bureaucratically, this case out of West Virginia, this EPA case, in which the EPA was clipped, and other agencies, I believe, are going to be clipped as well.
How do you see that, their wings clipped back on this, how do you see that possibly affecting those of us who have struggled with ATF, struggled with these agencies, over the interpretation of the gun law, keeping them out of people's hands?
Well, I was really excited by the decision in that case.
And quite frankly, I would love to see, you know, we're on appeal with a bump stock case, which is challenging this very idea that an agency like the ATF can just invent regulations that weren't intended in the law, were never intended by Congress and just This is very steep.
a standard that they've come up with that will put you in jail if you cross them.
So in other words, if you today still have possession of a bump stock, you could conceivably go to jail for 10 years and face a $250,000 fine.
This is very steep.
This is unelected bureaucrats just writing regulations that will send you to jail.
So I would love to see – my perfect dream is to see the Supreme Court look at our Supreme Court case and say, yeah, you guys are right, I would love to see, you know, here's my perfect dream is to see the Supreme Court look at our Supreme Court case and say, yeah, you guys are right.
And so we are also vacating and remanding that case because right now we're appealing to the Supreme Court.
Sadly, at the appellate level out of Michigan, we tied at the appellate level eight to eight.
It was extremely close, but in that very rare circumstance where you get a tie, it goes back to the district court opinion.
And sadly, the district court opinion went against us.
So right now it's the ATF victory that is basically is what we are challenging.
And so it would be great if the court would mandate that and say, Hey, you've used the wrong standard.
And you know, let's do this.
So Eric, thanks a bunch, buddy.
We'll get you back next time.
But we'll get it back here.
It's Doug Collins filling in for Sebastian Gorka.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
We'll be back on America First here in just a minute.
News and talk
radio is still really popular, even in the internet age.
What you are about to hear them say is mind-boggling.
Here's looking at you, Snowflake.
America first.
All right, America first.
Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka.
We're glad to have you with us today.
We have been rocking across the country here on the Salem Radio Network for now for the last a couple hours.
I do have to tell you though, folks, I had my bubble burst.
I've been talking about the car firearm.
We talked about getting The new Rally Cry 1911 pistol for my birthday coming up next month.
And of course, you know, as kids often do, they remind you of the reality of life.
And my youngest son, Beau, he sent me a text.
He says, well, yeah, you're gonna, you're gonna, he said gas prices are too high for a new gun.
Thanks, Bo.
Appreciate that, buddy.
Love you.
Remember that in December when there's somebody else's birthday.
All right, folks.
We've got a little bit to go here right before we get out for the top of the hour, but I want to get on Brent.
Brent from L.A.
Brent, how we doing?
Hello, Congressman Collins.
Hey!
Yeah, I wish you and America a blessed, independent, and free republic if we can keep it.
And today, I view America's holy Fourth of July to God's first national slave emancipation from Egypt during Passover.
And I pray on this Independence Day that all Americans take it upon themselves as a religious obligation to read slowly and solemnly America's divinely inspired document, the Declaration of Independence, which can legitimately be compared to the Psalms and the Prophets in the Bible.
I think what it espouses is the very essence of God's given eternal rights in creation, and Brent, you are right.
We ought to be, frankly, on our knees every day thanking God that we're in a country such as the United States of America, in which we have been given by the founders that document that says that we were all created equal in God's eyes, and He gave us those abilities, and He gave those three Sound sayings through the hand of Jefferson and other founders where he says, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
When we have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that is what I think we're intended to have.
And also on a practical matter, we can use it very practically just by going down listing the usurpations and the grievances of the colonists and use it day to day.
Yep.
Well, you know something, Brent?
The interesting part is, from my legal background, the way that the Jefferson and the Adams and others wrote this and they brought it up, was actually based on the old, and this will shock a lot of people out there, probably some liberals as well, is they based it on the old impeachment format of the King in England.
This is the way it was listed out.
They said, here's why we're doing it, and here they listed the grievances on why the King, in essence, should be held accountable.
Brent, thank you for calling, buddy.
Thanks for reminding us of the God-given rights that we have.
And it is an indictment.
I mean, I think right now, one of the reasons the left runs from the founders so much is because they don't like the common sense that's found in the documents.
Because not only gave them the rights to complain like they have, it gives them the rights to do everything that they have in our country.
And our country is the brightest light shining across the world.
Two hours in the books.
Doug Collins here filling in for Sebastian Gorka on America First.
Glad to have you all on the Satellite Network.
Coming up, one more hour.
We're going to get into it.
Love to have your calls.
833-33 GORKA.
833-33-GORCA.
See you in a minute.
Let me say it again.
The 2020 election was the most secure election in American history.
Let me begin by asking a very simple question.
Do we know the truth about what really happened in the 2020 election?
I think millions of Americans know something went wrong, and they have little pieces, and no one's really put it together.
I'm agnostic on this question, and I am awaiting more information.
If I believed the president were a Nazi, I might steal an election.
Bold accusations require bold evidence, and they haven't seen it.
We have been working on something big.
Show me the money.
Can we meet?
I've been working with Greg Phillips.
He has a deep background in election intelligence.
True The Vote has the largest store of election intelligence for the 2020 elections in the world.
No one has more data than we do.
We identified in Atlanta 242 mules that went to an average of 24 drop boxes.
But Philadelphia alone, we've identified more than 1,100 mules.
What is a mule?
A person picking up ballots and running them to the drop boxes.
This is not grandma out walking her dog.
Bad backgrounds, bad reputations.
They are interested in one thing.
That's money.
And in no shape, in no way, in no time is that legal.
This is organized crime.
Do you have video evidence?
Four million minutes of surveillance video around the country.
What you're about to see is disturbing.
So this is 1 o'clock in the morning.
Don't we all vote at 1 o'clock in the morning?
One night, this person, this mule, went across six counties to 27 different drop boxes.
I call it the Mexican Mafia, seriously.
Because they work like that.
This is jaw-dropping.
What you showed is frightening.
It's just sickening to me.
Now we come to the most important question of all.
Was the magnitude of vote trafficking enough to tip the balance in the 2020 presidential election?
It's not a leap to say this would have made a difference.
They have ruined election day in the United States of America.
That's provable.
And that's enough for me to fight the left with every fiber in my body.
Without free and fair elections, we are not a democracy.
We are a criminal cartel masquerading as a democracy.
Two Thousand Mules.

Oh.
Ah.
Take me home!
Taking you home!
Here in the last hour of the America First show.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka, Doug Collins filling in.
And for those who maybe get a chance to go on to Rumble, you saw me doing my best Axl Rose.
I can do the snake.
I can get that going.
Folks, we're here.
We're glad to have you being a part of the show today.
Had a lot to discuss as we go on.
I want to take this first.
I want to sort of frame this last hour with us today on this real discussion.
We've had two hours in which we've talked about liberals.
We've talked about the understanding that I believe that the courts in the last few weeks have gotten it right.
That it brought us back to understanding That there is a system of a constitutional republic that our founders understood.
They realized that, and for those of you out there who keep screaming, I want a democracy.
No, you don't.
Democracy is the quickest way to totalitarianism because democracy is mob rule.
Democracy can be manipulated.
Our founders understood this.
We're a constitutional republic that is democratic elections, that we elect and we're allowed to represent those who would now represent us.
That's what we're about.
Our country is about that.
Okay, so understanding that and bringing us back to that founders is something that is antithetical to a liberal because a liberal wants what they want and they want government to enforce it.
So they take it out of context and they say we're we if it's what we want and we when we had to do it.
And it makes it take away and really just distracts from the fact of who we are as Americans and the simple fact of what that means.
In just a second, we're going to play a clip and it's a long clip, so bear with me here.
This is not a short clip, but I want you to listen.
We're on the 4th of July weekend.
For many of you here, as you're getting off, you're in drive time, you're leaving on the East Coast, you're getting ready to get off here on the West Coast.
Everybody is getting ready for a long weekend for the most part.
For 4th of July is on a Monday this year.
That is good news for a lot of folks because you get a full three-day weekend for some, maybe even a four.
If you were off today, I know there's some that did that.
But it's a reminder that July 4th should be one of our preeminent holidays and not just the middle of the summer.
It is a reminder of who and what we have been given.
We have been given the freedom to have a country that allows us to pursue, as the Declaration of Independence says, our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
It did not say guarantee of happiness.
It was not saying that we're going to give you happiness.
It did not say that we're going to give it to you as liberals want.
Oh, if we just gave everybody everything.
No, because you have government, what liberals don't understand, government has to take it from somebody else to give it to you.
And that's selfish.
America is not selfish.
America is about taking the God-given rights of who we have and being able to grow into that and then helping others.
But I ran across this and some of you may have heard it before.
I saw it just recently and I wanted to share it today.
And it's a talk that was given by a lady named Julie Hartman in a Harvard speech.
And she talked about this.
And so it's about six minutes, so bear with it.
We're going to talk about it as we come back out.
But I believe it captures the essence for me of where we're at this all this this leftist woke ism that's out there right now screaming that everything's gone and they're melting in the marketplace and and they don't understand because the supreme court has abandoned them no they have it it's time for the left to just basically you know i hate to say that just shut up and realize the greatness of the country that you live in
And if you're not understanding it, folks listening here to America First, Dr. Gorka, and myself, I want you to understand that conservatism matters, and this is why we do what we do.
Let's listen to this clip from Julie Hartman.
Last spring break, I went on a trip with 100 other Harvard undergraduates to Israel.
It was one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life, and I will always be grateful to Harvard for that.
I recall the trip with awe and joy, but a certain moment rattled me.
Our group attended a Shabbat dinner at a Tel Aviv synagogue.
The rabbi proclaimed, Welcome to Israel!
You are all here from America, the best country in the world!
He paused, but not a single person clapped.
The Israelis stared in disbelief.
Americans are the freest, most privileged people on earth.
Yet many of us are ashamed to show any, even the tiniest trace of national pride.
Why?
Because we Americans of recent generations have been swaddled in prosperity and security, and in consequence, have become ungrateful for the blessings we enjoy.
It requires vigorous athletic imagination for most of us to consider the basic brutal realities that much of the world experiences daily.
Even worse, we have consumed a cultural diet that reduces America to its ugliest moments and dismisses its noble ideals and accomplishments as jingoism.
This nation saved the world from global catastrophe three times in the 20th century.
This nation has grown to treat racial, ethnic, and religious minorities with equality and respect compared to other places and times on Earth.
This is the nation where people are not constrained by their gender, religion, or class, but can work to achieve a better life.
In this nation, we can criticize our government, securing the knowledge that we will rise the next morning and our country will still respect our rights.
We view these things to be our birthright, our permanent and guaranteed condition, but they are not.
They exist only because past generations have sacrificed to secure and maintain them.
And to our discredit, we have used these blessings not to strengthen our country, but to tear it down.
We members of this university, and we Americans, have shirked our responsibility as the most privileged cohort on earth.
We have remained cringingly silent in the face of corrosive ideas, woke culture, that has corrupted our institutions and severed the bonds that hold our country together.
The New York Times won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting that the sole purpose of the American Revolution was to preserve slavery.
And we remain silent.
The Oregon Department of Education asserts that showing your work and finding the right answer in math is white supremacist.
And we remain silent.
The American Medical Association has stated that the U.S.
should remove gender from birth certificates.
And we remain silent.
Howard Zinn, the author of the most widely read history text in American public schools, said that America has done, quote, more bad than good.
And we remain silent.
A huge percentage of the donations to the National Black Lives Matter organization have been spent on compensation and benefits, including several extravagant real estate purchases and questionable consulting contracts.
And we remain silent.
On this campus, we often hear how oppressive America is.
Just outside of this church, there was a sign for Israeli Apartheid Week of an upside-down, faded American flag with painted bullet holes in it.
And we remain silent.
We must not lie to ourselves or to one another by denying that a large reason that we remain silent is that we see personal and professional advantages in doing so.
We are ashamed to be American.
The shame should be on us.
The people who excoriate religion live in a society where their freedoms are based on teachings in the Bible.
Many who say that the nuclear family is antiquated grew up in two-parent households.
Those who condemn the police as oppressive still summon them when they are in danger.
And too many use their right to free speech to advocate suspending it for all who disagree with them.
What a litany of dishonesty.
We are using our privilege to undermine the very system that has given us that privilege.
America, despite its failings, is the last great stand on Earth.
We must speak up against this now, or our civilization will face a somber reckoning.
As President Reagan said, if not us, who?
If not now, when?
Wow.
I mean, lay it out dispassionately, put it in there, saying what so many of us are seeing right now.
And we're going to unpack this a little bit more as this half hour goes along.
But what Ms.
Hartman actually laid out there, did you hear it?
And the thing that stuck out to me, before we get ready to go to break here, is she said that the very people that use their First Amendment rights to speak out and to do things, use that First Amendment right to silence those who disagree with them.
This is the thing.
This is why you listen to America First.
This is why you listen to Dr. Gorka.
This is why I'm filling in.
Doug Collins filling in for Sebastian Gorka.
Because we want you to fight for the rights that God-given intended for us through our founders and through the freedoms that he made us to have.
We're gonna be right back talking more about this here.
See you in a minute.
We are with you!
America First!
Magnificent!
All right, it's Doug Collins filling in for the good doctor today, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, 833-33 Gorka or 833-334-6752.
Doug Collins filling in.
Excuse me, I got choked.
I'm so excited to be here.
I just got choked up.
No, we're just coming off that Julie Hartman clip, and I go through this a lot.
For some of you, you may have read my book out there.
I wrote a book that was on the impeachment and this liberal obsession with Donald Trump.
It's called The Clock and the Calendar.
They were so obsessed with Donald Trump that The Clock and the Calendar were pushing them to try and impeach him on a call that frankly had no business being impeached.
But it just goes to show, and one of the things I go through in this book, is how liberals have no regard for the rules.
They're willing to do whatever it takes to get their issue out there.
They're willing to get it out there, and they're willing to be with those folks that are willing to push that issue.
So that is out there.
Also, if you want to see more of me, I'm part of the Salem faculty here with Dr. Gorka and others as we go forward.
But you can find me on the Doug Collins podcast.
The Doug Collins podcast.
Go to wherever you get your podcasts.
It's on the Salem network, the Doug Collins podcast.
Also, you can go to the DougCollinspodcast.com.
You can download there.
You can also send me emails and communicate with me there.
So I'm excited to be here.
I'm actually going to be with you again on Tuesday.
So we're excited.
To continue this process, before we get to some actual breaking down this Julie Hartman speech, I want to take a few calls.
We've got Harlan from Texas.
Harlan, how we doing?
Oh, Congressman, I'm just honored to talk to you.
You know, I've just discovered True Social, and that's incredible.
But I've watched their sessions where you're battling head-to-head with Nadler, and you're such a fighter.
You know, what I've always thought, and this is, I think, very on it's unmentioned mostly for the fire to save our country we need to have the same fire that involved in the original founders we need to rediscover that and we can do that by finding all the They left us volumes and volumes of good stuff.
We need to rediscover that fire, but I sure am thankful for you.
I love the way that you go for the snapper.
It's great.
It's great.
You've got a great sense of humor, so I love that too.
But I think our nation, we will come back.
I believe we will.
And it's because of guys like you and others.
Jordan, what a fighter.
Anyway, thank you for doing what you're doing.
And thank you for being in Congress.
I'm so much thankful for the way that you do what you do.
Well, Harlan, thank you a bunch.
I appreciate it.
Thank you for calling in.
It means a lot coming from the great state of Texas.
We appreciate you calling in.
Yeah, I mean, look, you gotta fight.
And you just, it's just a matter of showing up.
What I have found so many times in the conservative movement is that we just don't show up sometimes.
I can't tell you how many times I watched as debates would go on in Congress against liberals who were just, you know, railing against whatever.
They'd say whatever they want to say.
And I'd watch congressmen, conservatives, who would go up with the same little prepared speech that their staff maybe wrote or maybe they put down a few notes and would never respond to what the left was saying.
They would just give their own little talking points.
No, folks, I'm going to tell you, it's time to do as the left does, and that is actually to take the rhetorical and the challenge, the educational challenge, to the left.
The left will wither when you're confronting them with the truth, but we've got to confront them with the truth.
And I think this is, and Harlan, I appreciate you so much, you know, recognizing the fact that those of us while we were in Congress did that fight.
We fought to make sure that conservative values and principles were understood, because I'm Look, I don't know about you, but I'm one of those that actually believe that conservative values are the best values.
I believe that it is conservatism that has made this country what it is.
I believe it's conservative values across the world, whether it be the capitalist or free enterprise market that has pulled more people out of poverty than anything, any other ideology in the world.
It is those values, but if we're not out sharing those values, then it's just not going to happen.
And I think this is what we just played in this clip just a few minutes ago from Julia Hartman.
It's just amazing that when you have the Department of Education in Oregon saying that if you showed your work in math, my wife was a teacher for 30 plus years in the in the school system in Georgia and she used to teach fifth graders math and then one of the things is she would always do is you got to show your work.
You got to you got to you show your work so that you know that you're getting the right answer and you're not just guessing and to have the Oregon Department of Education say that that making a student show their work is in somehow racist.
That that's a problem, then I mean, I don't know where we're going at this point.
And as we move forward in this, the You know, I think we've got to be able to stand up for, you know, more as we look forward to this.
And what she was saying was, it's simply you got to take the ground.
And for them to, and for us to be silent while this is happening, I think it just puts it out there, you know, even more.
The very same people that, you know, want to use free speech to, you know, get us silent is what we've got to stop for.
All right, we've got Chris in California.
Chris, how we doing, buddy?
It's great.
I think every conservative radio should repeat that Julie Hartman... Oh my God.
It was perfect!
Perfect!
I'm so glad you aired it.
I can't even stand it.
It was exactly what everybody should be doing and should be thinking about.
It was awesome!
Every radio station should play that.
Every radio station.
I'm telling you, it was spot on.
You couldn't get it any better.
Thank you for sharing that with us.
Chris, thank you for listening and being a part of it.
That's why I wanted to share it, and Chris just brought it out as perfectly as why we wanted to share it.
It is amazing to me, and Hartman pointed out this in the video, that you have writers who are saying that there's been more bad than good done from the United States.
Are you kidding me?
More good?
No, no.
Ken, another one from California.
We're all across the Fruity Plain today.
Ken, how we doing?
Doing pretty good.
Let me preface my call with the fact that I'm a black conservative here living in Southern California.
I'm an Air Force brat, moved all over the place.
Matter of fact, I was actually born in Georgia too.
But anyway, what I wrote something several years ago, it's about courage.
And that's the problem that I see with, um, People on, most of the people on the right, other than, you know, folks like you and Sebastian and all that.
And it's real short, and I'm just gonna, I would like to be able to share this with people.
Okay, we got just a couple minutes, so make sure you get it in.
Courage is about believing what is right, not what is politically expedient.
Courage is proceeding when the odds are against you.
Courage is what separates greatness from mediocrity.
Patriots succeed when they have the faith in what they believe, despite overwhelming odds.
They overcome their fear with the defiance that their enemies fear and ultimately respect.
They love what they are defending and realize there is no love without sacrifice.
The founders of this republic in the final line of the Declaration of Independence said, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.
We are at a crossroads in our history.
Quoting scripture, this is what the Lord says.
Stand at the crossroads and look.
Ask for the ancient past.
Ask where the good way is and walk in it and you will find rest for your soul.
Jeremiah 6, 16.
And I just want to say, God bless you and God bless America.
Thank you, Ken.
That was wonderful words.
I appreciate it.
That's what America First is about.
That's putting our values out there, being proud of the country we live in.
It's a 4th of July weekend.
It's about the Declaration of Independence.
It's about living free.
It's about being proud of where we're from.
And if left, if you don't like it, there's plenty of other countries out there that aren't as proud of their country.
Go live with them.
We'll be right back for the last half hour here on America First.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
Can you believe it?
They are saying that they don't agree with America First.
How do you say that?
Magnificent.
Oh, you can't believe that you're not with America First.
Not here on America First with Dr. Sebastian Gorka.
This is Doug Collins filling in for the good doctor.
We're excited to be here.
Glad to have had a great day.
We got in the last half hour.
I can't believe it's just flown by like it has.
We've been dispensing some truth, grabbing some great phone calls.
Life is good.
We'll try to get in a few more phone calls.
I know we've got Bill in Memphis.
We've got Mike in California coming up.
833-33-GORKA.
If we try to get you in, we've got several things to go through.
But first, you need to hear this.
The woke crowd seized control of America's public schools and universities, and now a minority of loud, woke voices are trying to take over America's corporations and businesses.
From Disney to American Express, more companies are taking positions on political issues they have no business taking.
Positions that align with woke activists, but no one else.
Not their customers, not their shareholders, or the majority of their employees.
It's why I'm excited to report that our friends at Job Creators Network are on the case.
They're pushing back against the leftist cultural wars being fought by corporations, but they need your help in fighting back.
To learn what you can do, you need to go to rockthewoke.com.
Rockthewoke.com now to do your part.
Disney and the others have heard from Woke America.
It's now time that they heard from the rest of us.
Go to rockthewoke.com now.
Don't let the Woke crowd do to America's businesses what they have done to our schools.
Go to rockthewoke.com and help fund this fight.
Brought to you by our good folks at the Job Creators Network.
Glad to have you apart.
We've got the last half hour kicking in right now here on America First.
It is amazing to me, the agendas that are out there and that we're seeing.
I think probably this is the leftist liberals, this is the liberals' worst holiday.
They don't want to deal with the Declaration of Independence.
They don't want to deal with the freedom we have here.
And it's just amazing to me, but I'm going to be very happy.
I am happy that it's the 4th.
I am happy we celebrate the 4th of July.
I'm happy we have the Declaration of Independence because it reinforces that we are gifted in God's sight, that He breathed into us life and had that liberty and we can pursue happiness.
Why?
Because He has given us that ability.
That's what we like to see, and we've been talking about it all day.
I don't understand why the leftists want to run down a country that has given them so much.
But you know what?
We're fighting back.
We're going to talk about it each and every day.
That's why Dr. Gorka and I, both, whether you are listening here today and I'm filling in, or you can go to the Doug Collins podcast and catch me on the Salem as part of the Salem faculty here, as Dr. Gorka likes to say.
First though, we got a few calls.
Let's see if we can get in a few calls before the half hour and before we get into this fourth weekend.
Bill from Memphis.
How is life in Memphis with some good food and some good music?
Oh yeah.
Best barbecue in the country.
Stepping out on Bill Street.
There we go.
That's a good one too.
There's nothing wrong with Bill Street.
I'm telling you.
Hasn't been down there for a long time but it's good.
It's a pleasure to hear him talk to you.
I've been a follower for a long time.
All you guys are just above the top.
I can't say enough.
You referenced one thing.
If I can jump in, I'm sorry.
You said that conservatives don't stand up in Congress.
And part of that is, I think, because if you ever get on social media and argue with a liberal, you know you've won when they start calling you dirty language, you know, and don't have any more arguments to present.
And I think sometimes the conservatives don't want to do that in the form of Congress.
So they don't let the Democrats come down, and that's really what they should do.
You're right.
We've got to stand up and we're going to lose everything that we've taken 246 years to build.
And Congress with a 9% rating right now has no business talking about any of this crap because all they've done is digging the whole paper and paper and paper.
And it's hard what you're doing in this country, and it needs to stop.
It is.
Yeah, Bill, thank you so much for calling in.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for keeping up in Memphis.
I mean, folks, if you've not been to Memphis, there's some great food out there, some great music in that part of the world.
And glad Bill is listening, because Bill's right.
I mean, I go back to conservatives all the time.
You say, well, I don't want to be called names.
They're going to call me racist.
They're going to call you that anyway.
Why not stand for truth?
Why not get out there in front of it and actually be a part of the solution, giving real ideas, standing up, going to vote, going to make sure that your voices are heard.
Because look, I will tell you, once you get out there and you start sharing the conservative message, when you start sharing conservative values with your friends, you know, look, they may push back, they may call you all kinds of names.
But you know, the last time I checked, and I know this is hard, I do, but I'm not trying to be anything but honest.
You know, it goes back to the old, you know, children's saying, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.
When you stand on the truth, when you stand on what you know is right, when you're out there, let the other side call names, you pile the truth.
When they call you a racist, you tell them the truth.
When they call you bigoted, you tell them the truth.
Folks, that's how you win.
You gotta tell the truth.
Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Gorka today here on America First.
Take a break.
Rick will be right back.
And Mike.
Thank you.
Now it's about power and money and politics and somehow the kids are getting lost in all of that.
It doesn't matter whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, you're a mom and a dad first.
Critical race theory is dividing our children in ways that are unacceptable.
You cannot use racism to eradicate racism.
Our teachers are bullied.
Parents are shut out.
Less than one-third of America's school children are proficient in anything.
They're teaching these kids X-rated sex acts.
When we look at this radical agenda, the way our children are being exploited and the way parents are getting shut out, it comes down to one fundamental question.
Whose children are they?
Whose children are they?
De quien son esos niños?
Whose children are they?
Whose children are they?
Whose children are they?
Whose children are
they? Whose children are they?
Whose children are they?
Whose children are they?
Thank you.
Thank you.
I've lost another two and a half pounds.
Guys, that's beyond my wildest dream.
I'm pushing 35 pounds I've lost in less than three months.
How?
Because her PhD weight loss and nutrition system is super easy.
No calorie counting, no stupid starvation diets, and no craves.
It's the easiest.
It's the only diet I've been on ever.
That truly works.
20 years of trying to lose the weight.
I'm now within striking distance of my target weight.
My wife is ecstatic.
And even Mike Gallagher, he's lost 50 pounds.
Find out for yourself.
It's an amazing system.
Please call 828-552-3333.
Book your first consultation.
Their advisors stick with you through the whole process.
They talk to you every week.
It really Really works.
I have not felt this good in over 20 years.
That's 828-552-3333.
Or just go to their website myphdweightloss.com.
That's myphdweightloss.com.
You will not regret it.
All right, this is Doug Collins coming back in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka here on the America First Radio Show, and we're excited coming across all the Salem network.
You normally hear me on the Doug Collins podcast, also part of the Salem faculty, but also filling in today for Dr. Gorka.
Be well here again on Tuesday.
Excited with everything we've had.
We had just a fast-paced show.
We're coming into the final few minutes here.
Let's get as many callers in as we can go.
Mike, California, how we doing, buddy?
Hi, very good.
Thank you for your service in Congress.
I have some ideas I want to run past you with regards to illegality and constitutionality regarding the fake news media.
The news media gives easily billions of dollars worth of free, non-reportable, and unlimited campaign support for Marxist Democrats against conservative Republicans, etc.
And that basically is a campaign propaganda organization with impunity.
So I have like three points on this.
One is Do you think we can legally and constitutionally pass state and or federal laws to treat the big news organizations like campaign organizations where they have to disclose and report publicly and to the government how much money equivalent they're providing in the form of news or advertising?
For free support for against any candidate or ballot measure issue.
Number 1.
Number 2.
Can we have them treat the news reporters and the owners of the news news managers like candidates have to require them to fill out financial disclosure forms?
Where are they getting money from?
Is it coming from China?
Is it coming from?
You know, Muslim or Arab countries.
Is it coming from pharmaceutical companies?
So, can we get personal disclosure on the individuals?
And then three, can we treat the news media the way they want to have gun control laws?
Maybe we have to have background checks and make it public results for the people who control, for the editors, for the writers, for the owners of the news organizations.
Maybe have waiting periods before they can post articles or publish them and have them subject to review for errors and omissions.
Um, you know, can we apply other types of gun control laws that they have favored and campaigned for to the news media?
What are your thoughts on all of these points?
Well, Mike, thanks for the call today.
I appreciate it.
You brought up a lot of stuff.
I mean, just look, I think there's probably some legitimate constitutional issues on some of the of the problem because they can really legitimately I would say use the First Amendment, I mean, to put out what they want to put out.
The question comes is, you know, in the discussion of what is being factually put out there.
Now one of the things that is interesting to me and it could be explored is, you know, especially in some of the local medias and stuff, if there's actually a favoring of one candidate over another.
I think you're going to have some issues trying to say that is from a news quote perspective, is that going to be actionable?
I don't know, Mike.
I think there's some issues there, but I do want to bring up something that you sort of led into this and Justice Thomas.
The Supreme Court did turn down a case the other day.
There was a Sullivan v. New York Times based on that decision.
This was the defamation libel standard against public officials.
Thomas wanted to take the case up.
We could not get the rest of the conservatives to take the case to better define what it means to defame or to slander libel standards against a public official.
Now, as someone who has been lied about many times on the media, that would have been something that I would be interested in, because right now the standard is just set way too high, and it's set a standard of basically saying that there has to be actual malice proved.
And that's just a standard that's just uncountable.
So basically the media and others can say anything they want about a politician or about someone in public life, and it's never been followed up on.
So, Mike, I think that some of the things that are worth looking at, that one probably is the better one to look at.
A couple minutes here.
Rhett, let me get you in before break here.
Rhett from Fort Worth.
How are we?
Hey, Doug.
Hey, thank you for all you do.
I really do appreciate it.
Thank you for taking my call.
I just wanted to say something.
These people who are staying home collecting money from the government, don't they realize that what they are actually doing is they are selling their freedom?
And they're selling my freedom, too, and your freedom.
And the thing is, another thing that they need to think about is This is all about creating dependence.
So sure, you don't have a job, you're collecting money from the government, but they're making you a dependent.
And as the saying goes, whatever the government giveth, the government can take it away.
So get off your butts and get a job.
Yep.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
Uh, today we have a winner.
Rhett, you just hit it.
Um, and you know, thanks for calling in, Rhett.
We appreciate it calling in from Fort Worth, but you know, some common sense out of Texas.
You know, this is what you don't give away.
It's about dependence.
It's exactly what the liberal wants you to believe in government.
Government is your, your, you get your everything.
You go to government to get your values.
You go to government to get your thoughts.
You go to government to get your opinions.
You go to government to get a check.
You go to government, you know, and that's just the antithesis of the Fourth of July weekend.
It's just the absolute antithesis of the 4th of July weekend in which the founders, Thomas Jefferson and others, wrote that it is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
It is God-given.
All are created equal.
We all have equal opportunities.
We all have equal opportunities in time.
Now, this is where you've got to use it, though, folks.
If you want it to be given to you, if you want it to just be handed to you, then you will not have all that you could ever have.
If you want it to be just the point of saying, okay, well, I want the government to give me a home.
I want them to give me a car.
I want them to give me a guaranteed income.
Then I guarantee you will be below where you could actually do it if you did it on your own.
If you did not If you depend on the government and you depended on the God-given talents that He has given you, then you could do far more than you could ever imagine.
That is what the Fourth is about.
That is what the Declaration of Independence is about.
That is why we have to celebrate this for what it is, and that is an awakening of the Spirit.
It's an awakening of who we are.
It is making sure that we are the prominent country in the world that promotes freedom and promotes the individual, and that is why we are special.
Doug Collins filling in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka here.
On America First, we're coming into the last segment.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
We'll be back in just a minute.
Oh, take me home!
We got a few minutes left here on the America First show.
Doug Collins filling in for Sebastian Gorka.
It's been a privilege today.
Looking forward to being back with you again on Tuesday.
You know, but you know, we've talked about a lot about freedom.
We talked about about the this country and the proud nature.
We've talked about great presidents.
I've mentioned Ronald Reagan and we've talked about, you know, Donald Trump.
We thought a lot of things but but But, you know, now on the world stage, where the President, on this 4th of July weekend, the week before, you're supposed to be giving out just amazing vibes about being the freest country in the world.
Wait, what do I hear?
Do I hear it?
Do I hear it?
Oh, oh, is it presidential?
What is our President telling us now?
We got the telephone.
He suggests that we call the leader of Switzerland.
Switzerland.
My goodness, I'm getting really anxious here about expanding NATO.
Sweden.
And the first question, I'm told, is Darlene Superville from the Associated Press.
I'm supposed to go down the list here.
There's no such thing as a quick one.
I'm out of here.
Thank you all very much.
I'm getting chills.
I'm inspired.
I'm inspired.
That's our leader.
What does he say?
I mean, does he not know who he's talking?
I mean, we're just finishing up here.
It's been a great three hours, but that's what the president portrayed right there.
One, he didn't know who he called.
Wasn't sure about it.
He said, oh, we need to expand NATO more.
That's a scary thought.
Again, with no oversight, nothing going on.
But yeah, we're going to expand NATO in the midst of everything else.
And then, I love how he's being told.
Well, I'm being told here who I was supposed to ask the question to.
Yeah, I guess that's right, Mr. President, because they've been handed the question by your press people to give you a question that without a teleprompter, you might be able to get right.
But I think the whole purpose of the whole trip was probably summed up there at the end.
When he won, he said, he said, there's nothing like a quick one.
Nope, not with Joe Biden.
There's not.
There's no quick answers and no right answers for the most part coming out of this administration.
But the best one was, is when he actually just said, you know, which way is out of here?
Folks, I got the answer for him.
Which way is out of here?
Well, the first out of here is called November of 2022, when we go out and we flip the House and we flip the Senate.
That's the first way out of here.
And then the next out of here is 2024, where hopefully we show Joe Biden which way the door is, and that is out, exit, go to the retirement community where you belong.
We don't need you anymore on the world stage, but that's what you get.
Folks, elections have consequences, but you know what?
Elections also remind us that when we have a country like the United States, which we're entering in the 4th of July weekend, I wish you nothing but God's blessing as you go into this 4th weekend.
Remember what the founder said.
It's about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that we're all created equal under God's eyes.
This is Doug Collins signing off on the America First Radio Show, filling in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka.
We will see you after the 4th on Tuesday.
God bless you.
Look forward to talking with you again real soon.
